阴世则从午月起，阳世还从子月生；欲得识其卦上月，月从初数至世分。
What it means
The Hexagram Body (卦身), also called the Monthly Hexagram Body (月卦身), governs the body of the matter being divined. The method of assigning it: if the World line is Yang, count from the first line starting at Zi (子); if the World line is Yin, count from the first line starting at Wu (午). The Earthly Branch obtained when the count reaches the World line is the Hexagram Body. If the Hexagram Body appears in the hexagram, the matter has a clue and one can assess success or failure. If it does not appear or falls into emptiness, the matter is elusive and hard to grasp. In judgment, consider the Six Relatives, Six Spirits, and the line's strength (wang/shuai) and interactions (sheng/ke) that the Hexagram Body encounters.
