Goujiao (勾绞)
What it means
Goujiao (勾绞) are two mutually clashing spirits: for a yang-male or yin-female, three branches ahead is Gou and three behind is Jiao; for a yin-male or yang-female, reversed. They govern entanglement and bondage, legal trouble and strife. When the self overcomes the spirit, one holds penal and executioner's authority; when the spirit overcomes the self, violent death. With both positions present the disaster is heavy; joined with the Metal Spirit or White Tiger, ill.
