The戌 position is in the White Sheep Palace, occupying the star degrees ofLegs mansion andBond mansion, its territory corresponds to Lu State, belonging to Xu Prefecture, located in the Northwest direction, with the five tones belonging to Shang, its number is five, its taste is sweet, and its color is yellow. The Heavenly Stem 辛 is stationed above it, while fire is below it and buried, which represents the nature of Tian Kong. It belongs to the Earth God. The Nobleman is the first among the Twelve Heavenly Generals, and its star is of supreme rank. It is suitable for proceeding in order to manage affairs and riding on strong energy. It is most忌 to fall into Kongwang and also fears idleness. The Nobleman in the daytime holds authority over the day branch, while the night Nobleman behind the curtain is left idle. The Vermilion Bird originates from the Bingwu fire, which combines with Xin metal and meets with Wei earth. It is the source of literature and brightness, and is considered a semi-beneficial general. It governs matters related to writing, seals, the annual establishment, the official's fortune, the post-horse, examinations, and glory. If it is not in its proper time, it indicates lawsuits and disputes, livestock suffering from disasters and epidemics. If it is accompanied by the criminal god andInauspicious Sha, it signifies being imprisoned or detained due to family affairs, and also indicates fires and unusual events, as well as injuries.

Treatment should focus on moistening and using water to counteract its dryness and heat. There is also a mnemonic verse that says 'the Vermilion Bird opens its mouth,' indicating continuous disputes. Liu He is associated with the wood of Yimao, which is a favorable general. It combines with Geng to represent benevolence and righteousness, and with Xu to represent honor and prosperity. When prosperous and strong, it is a harmonious star, governing marriage, messages, trade, and peaceful cooperation; when declining, it signifies secret affairs, deceit, and abnormal situations. It also relates to foreign affairs, friendship, descendants, and intermediaries. As for people, it represents magicians and skilled craftsmen.
其類為粟,為鹽為兔,為羽毛,和竹與木。於病屬肝膽、筋爪、眼目陰陽不調,心腹虛損,與神任衰等。治宜平肝養和,清心寡慾,陰氣宜吸,夜氣須清。

The treatment should focus on soothing the liver, harmonizing the body, clearing the heart, reducing desires, inhaling clear yin energy, and maintaining the clarity of night breath.

Heavenly General Wuchen Earthly Branch, Earthly Stem Gou Chen
合癸無情,合酉有刑凶多凶將。乘旺為將星,能制玄武,戰勝攻取,制敵威邊,捕盜尋賊,主戰鬥行訟事。又主印綬,為領袖,若失時失地則殘忍不仁。蓄二心懷二志,勾留遲滯,留連勾結,冤人曲己,枝節橫生,如伏喪大吊,為不孝神。
Gou Chen is associated with the earth element Wuchen, and it forms an inharmonious connection with癸, and a penal connection with酉. It is mostly associated with misfortune and is considered a malevolent general. When it is in a strong position, it becomes a general star, capable of subduing Xuanwu, achieving victory in battle and success in attack, subduing enemies and commanding respect from the borders. It is also effective in capturing thieves and tracking down criminals, indicating matters of conflict and litigation. It also represents the seal and is a local leader. However, if it is lost in terms of time or place, it becomes cruel and unrighteous, with divided intentions and dual purposes, causing delays in affairs, lingering with others, wronging others while suffering oneself, and creating complications. If it is further combined with the Great Sha of Sāngmén and Dàokè, it becomes the spirit of filial impiety.
其類為將軍吏卒,丑婦賤人,又為田阪水早,龍……瓦石土崗。病主脾胃虛弱洩瀉,內傷,飲食不節,消化不靈。治宜辟穀。勾制武,入課主天晴;又斗罡所指,萬煞潛藏。勾陳仗劍,傷殘(正月乘巳逆行十二支)。勾陳交會禍患連綿(乘四墓上)。
Gou Chen's class deity governs generals and soldiers, ugly women and lowly people in terms of people; in terms of geography, it governs field ridges, embankments, and matters of drought and flood; it also governs dragons, as well as tiles, stones, and earthen hills. In terms of illness, it governs weakness of the spleen and stomach, diarrhea, internal injuries, improper diet, and indigestion, and the treatment should involve fasting and reducing food intake. Gou Chen can subdue Xuan Wu, and when it enters the calculation, it indicates clear weather. Also, where the Heavenly Gang and the handle of the Big Dipper point, all kinds of凶煞 are hidden and dare not show themselves. There is another couplet: "Gou Chen with sword" indicates injury and disability, its position starts from the fourth month and the branch of Si, moving in reverse order through the twelve branches; "Gou Chen meeting" indicates continuous misfortunes, referring to Gou Chen being on the four墓 branches of Chen, Xu, Chou, and Wei.

If Gou Chen occupies the Mao position, it signifies moving into an inner chamber or avoiding imprisonment; when it is added to the Mao position, it indicates aInauspicious Spirit (malevolent spirit) approaching the door, requiring caution regarding the household and discord in affairs.
