縱有清氣，不過一衿終身，有富而秀者，身旺財旺，與官星不通也，或傷官顧財不顧官也；有貧而秀者，身旺官輕，財星受劫也。或財官太旺，印星不現，或傷官用印，見財不見官也；有學問過人，竟不能得一衿，老於儒童者。此亦有清氣存焉，格局原可發秀，只因運途不濟，破其清氣，以致終身不能稍舒眉曲也。亦有格局本可登科發甲者，亦因運途不濟，屢困場屋，終身一衿，不能得路於青雲也。有格局本無出色，竟能科甲連登，此因一路運途合宜，助其清氣官星，去其濁氣忌客之故也。

The official star is not present, so even though there is some clarity in the pattern, one can only attain the rank of a scholar for life. Some people are wealthy and also have the rank of a scholar: their body strength is strong, so their wealth is also strong, but the wealth and official star do not connect; or the injurious star only focuses on generating wealth and does not protect the official star. Others are poor and also have the rank of a scholar: their body strength is strong but the official star is weak, and the wealth star is robbed; or the wealth and official star are too strong but the seal star is not present; or originally it is a pattern of injurious star with seal star support, but the wealth star destroys the seal star and the official star is not present. There are also people with exceptional knowledge who cannot even pass the examination for the rank of a scholar and spend their whole lives as a candidate without success: such a pattern also has some clarity, and the pattern originally could develop into a scholar, but due to poor fortune, that clarity is destroyed, leading to a lifetime of worry and no relief. There are also patterns that originally could achieve success in the imperial examination and become a top scholar, but again due to poor fortune, they are repeatedly blocked in the examination hall and only attain the rank of a scholar, never reaching the higher ranks. Conversely, there are also patterns that are not particularly good, yet they achieve successive success in the imperial examination, because their entire fortune is well matched, supporting their clarity and official star, and removing the turbid elements and harmful influences.

癸巳、壬戌、乙卯、戊寅／辛酉、庚申、己未、戊午、丁巳、丙辰。乙卯日元，生於季秋，得寅時之助，日主不弱，用巳火秀氣，戌土火庫收之，壬癸克之。格局本無出色，且辛金司令，壬水進氣通源，幸得時透戊土，去濁留清，文望若高山北斗，品行似良玉精金，中運逢火，丙子優貢。惜子水得地，難得登雲。

Four pillars: Guisi, Renxu, Yimao, Wuyin; major years: Xinyou, Gengshen, Jiwei, Wuwu, Dingsi, Bingchen. The day stem Yimao was born in the third autumn month of September, with assistance from the Yin hour, so the day stem is not weak. The refined quality of the fire in Si is taken as the useful element. The Xu earth is the repository of fire, able to contain this fire, but the壬 and癸 water in the year and month come to overcome it. The overall pattern does not show outstanding qualities. Moreover, the Xinhui metal is in command, the Ren water is coming into strength and has a source, fortunately the戊 earth in the sky stem restrains the water and removes the turbidity, keeping the clarity. Therefore, this person has a reputation like a high mountain and the North Star, and character like fine jade and pure metal. In the middle years, the major years meet fire, and in the Bingzi year, he passed the examination for an outstanding recommendation. Four Pillars: Guiwei, Gengshen, Jiashen, Yihai; Grand Destiny: Jiwei, Wuwu, Dingsi, Bingchen, Yimao, Jiayin. The day stem Jiashen is born in the early autumn of the seventh month. Geng metal sits in the Sheng palace, which is its strong and prosperous position, making the killing power extremely strong. Fortunately, the亥 hour brings the wood of Jiashen back to life from its decline, and the壬 water in亥 can transform the killing power into a beneficial force for the self. Four Pillars: Guiwei, Yimao, Bingwu, Dingyou; Great Destiny: Jiayin, Guichou, Renzi, Xinhai, Gengxu, Jiyou. The day stem Bingwu is born in the Mao month, and the chart has strong wood and fire. Four pillars: Wu Earth, Geng Metal, Ren Water, and Jia Earth; great years: Xin Metal, Ren Water, Gui Water, Jia Wood, Yi Wood, Bing Wood. From a broad perspective, Wu Earth seven killer generates Geng Metal official star, which in turn generates Ren Water day master. Four pillars: Jihai, Guiyou, Renshen, Wushen; big years: Renshen, Xinwei, Gengwu, Jisi, Wuchen, Dingmao. This destiny has Jia and Wu earth as official and killer stars, both appearing on the surface but lacking roots in the earth branches. The metal and water are too strong, making this destiny less pure compared to the previous one. Fortunately, the big years proceed through southern fire and earth territories. When fire and earth arrive, the vital energy becomes abundant and the spirit becomes vigorous. When reaching the Xinwei big year, he became a scholar early on; when reaching Gengwu, he passed the imperial exams successively; when reaching Jisi and Wuchen, his official career became bright and smooth. This destiny differs greatly from the previous one, not because of the fate, but because of good fortune.

異路功名莫說輕，日干得氣遇財星。原注：刀筆得成名者，與不成名者之異，必是財星得個門戶，通得官星，中有一種清氣，所以得出身，其老於九筆而不能出身者，終是財星與官不相通也。

A person who achieves official status through a different path should not be underestimated; the key lies in the day stem having strength and encountering the wealth star. Original commentary: Among those who are officials by profession, some become famous while others do not, and the difference lies in: those who become famous must have the wealth star finding a way to connect with the official star, containing a kind of clear quality, thus achieving their status; those who die old in their official work without achieving status ultimately have the wealth star and official star not connected at all.

任氏曰：異路功名，有刀筆成名者，有捐納出身者，雖有分別，總不外日干有氣，財民相通也。或財星得用，暗成官局，或官伏財鄉，丙意情通，或官衰逢財，兩神和協，或印旺官衰，財星破印，或身旺無官，食傷生財，或身衰官旺，食神制官，必有一種清純之氣，方可出身。其仕路之高卑，須究格局之氣勢，運途之損益可知矣。

Ren Shi said: There are different paths to achieve official rank and fame, some through legal documents and writing, others through purchasing an official position. Although there are distinctions, they all ultimately depend on the day stem having strength, and the wealth and official stars being connected. Either the wealth star is used as the useful god and secretly forms the official structure; or the official star is hidden within the wealth area, with both being in harmony; or the official star is weak and meets the wealth star which strengthens it, with both deities being in harmony; or the印 (intellectual) star is strong while the official star is weak, and the wealth star just breaks the excess of the印; or the body (soul) is strong but there is no official in the chart, relying on the food and injurious stars to generate wealth; or the body is weak while the official is strong, relying on the food and injurious stars to control the official star. In all cases, there must be a clear and pure energy to achieve official status. As for the level of official position, it depends on the size of the pattern and its momentum, combined with the gains and losses of the fortune years, which can then be determined.

不能出身者，日干太旺，財輕無食傷，喜官而官星不通，或無官也。如日干太弱，財星官星並旺者，有財官雖通，傷官劫占者，有財星得用，暗成劫局者，有喜印逢財，忌印逢官者，皆不能出身也。

As for those who cannot achieve success: if the day stem is too strong while the wealth star is too weak, and there is no food god or injurer to generate wealth; or if the official star is desired but does not connect with the day stem, or there is no official star at all. Also, if the day stem is too weak while the wealth and official stars are strong; even though wealth and official stars are connected, they are harmed by injurers or stolen by rivals; the wealth star may be useful but the branches form an invisible rival star pattern; if one prefers the seal star but encounters wealth that harms the seal, or if one dislikes the seal star but encounters official stars that generate the seal—these situations all prevent success.

己巳、壬申、甲寅、戊辰／辛未、庚午、己巳、戊辰、丁卯、丙寅。甲木生於孟秋，七殺當令，巳火食神貪生己土，忘克申金，兼之戊己並透，破印生殺，以致祖業難登，書香不繼。喜其秋水通源，日坐祿旺，明雖沖剋，暗卻相生。由部書出身，至丁卯丙寅運，扶身制殺，仕至觀察。

Four pillars: Jisi, Renshen, Jiayin, Wuchen; big years: Xinwei, Gengwu, Jisi, Wuchen, Dingmao, Bingyin. The Jia wood was born in the first month of autumn, July, where the Sheng metal 'seven killer' is in charge. The year branch Si fire is originally the food god, which can control the killer, but it is greedy to nourish Ji earth, forgetting to control the Sheng metal. Moreover, the Wu and Ji earths are both revealed in the sky, which ruins the seal star and nourishes the killer, so this person cannot inherit the family property and cannot continue his studies. Fortunately, autumn water is flowing, the monthly dry REN water can transform the killer into self, and the day's main sits on the Yin wood禄旺 place. Although Yin and Sheng appear to clash, in fact Sheng metal nourishes water, and water nourishes Yin wood. This person started as a government clerk, and when he reached the Dingmao and Bingyin years, the wood and fire supported his body and controlled the killer, and he became an official of the observation.

Four Pillars: Gengwu, Bingxu, Yimao, Dingchou; Great Destiny: Dinghai, Wuzi, Jichou, Gengyin, Xinmao, Renchen. The day stem Yimao was born in the third autumn month, September. The two fire elements, Bing and Ding, are both visible and have roots in Wu and Xu. There is no water in the Five Phases. The heavenly stem Geng metal on the year pillar is not guided by water and is restrained by fire, so it can be disregarded. What is most favorable is that the wealth element (earth) is in the repository of Chen, Xu, Chou, and Wei. Thus, wood and fire can flourish. The four pillars are Jichou, Gengwu, Wushen, and Guihai; the big years are Jisi, Wuchen, Dingmao, Bingyin, Yichou, and Jiazi. The day stem, Wutu, is born in the month of Wu, where the official star (the hidden Ding fire in Wu) is in command and powerful. There is also a Guihai wealth star in the hour position, which exactly matches the saying "the day stem meets the wealth star in its proper condition." However, the metal in Shen and Geng is too strong, and the year's branch, Jichou, is a damp earth, which obscures the fire and generates metal. As a result, the day stem becomes weak, and the official star is secretly harmed, making it difficult to achieve academic success and official rank. This person rose to prominence through official recommendation. When he reached the Dingmao and Bingyin years, the wood followed the fire's strength, and there was no contradiction or opposition, allowing him to attain the position of governor (Huangtang). It is fortunate that the true god, Wu fire, became the useful god, so his character was sincere, kind, and peaceful. However, when he reached the Yichou year, the damp earth obscured the fire and generated metal, leading to his death.

壬子、甲辰、戊戌、丙辰／乙巳、丙午、丁未、戊申、己酉、庚戌。戊戌日元，生於季春，時逢火土，日元得氣，雖春時虛土，而殺透通根，兼之壬水得地，貼身相生，此謂身殺兩停，非身強煞淺也。天干壬水克丙，所以書香不利，喜其初運南方，損納出身。仕名區，宰大邑。便財露生煞為病，恐將來運走西方，水生火絕，緣其人好奢少儉，若不急流勇退，難免不測風波。

Four Pillars: Renzi, Jiachen, Wuxu, Bingchen; Grand Years: Yisi, Bingwu, Dingwei, Wushen, Jiyou, Gengxu. The day stem Wuxu is born in the third month of spring, and the hour stem has Bing fire and Chen earth, so the day stem gets some strength. Although the earth in spring is still weak, the month stem Ji wood 'seven killer' is revealed and rooted in Chen, plus the year stem Ren water sits on Zi and gets support, with close mutual generation helping the killer, this is called 'body and killer balanced', not a strong body with a weak killer. The heavenly stem Ren water overcomes the heavenly stem Bing fire, which is the official, so academic achievements and official rank are not favorable. Fortunately, in early years the grand years go to the southern fire land, so he became an official through donation and served in famous areas and governed large cities. However, the wealth star (Ren water) is revealed in the heavenly stem to nourish the killer, which is the main problem of the whole chart. It is feared that in the future when the grand years go to the western metal land, metal generates water and fire reaches its end, plus his nature is fond of luxury and not frugal, if he does not retire early, he may face unexpected troubles.

癸巳、甲寅、丙戌、庚寅／癸丑、壬子、辛亥、庚戌、己酉、戊申。丙火生於孟春，官透為用，清而純粹，惜乎金水遙隔，無相生之意；且木火併旺，金水無根，書香不繼，遊幕捐給縣令，究竟財官不通門戶，丁丑年大運在戌，火土當權，得疾而亡。

Four Pillars: Guisi, Jiayin, Bingxu, Gengyin; Great Destiny: Guichou, Renzi, Xinhai, Gengxu, Jiyou, Wushen. The fire element丙 is born in the first month of spring, with the heavenly stem癸 water 「true official」 clearly appearing as the useful element, clear and pure. Unfortunately, the heavenly stem庚 metal at the hour is at the beginning and the heavenly stem癸 water at the year are at the end, far apart, so there is no mutual generation between wealth and official. Moreover, wood and fire are both strong, while metal and water have no roots. Therefore, the person could not continue in academic pursuits or official positions, and had to work as a traveling official, later paying a fee to become a county magistrate. In the end, because wealth and official did not connect, in the year of Dingchou, when the great destiny was at the position of Xu, fire and earth were dominant and injured the metal and water, leading to illness and death.

壬辰、甲辰、辛酉、丁酉／乙巳、丙午、丁未、戊申、己酉、庚戌。辛金生於季春，支逢辰酉，干透壬丁，似乎佳美，不知地支溼土逢金，丁火虛無根，甲木雖有生火，地支辰酉化金，亦自顧不暇，捐納部屬，不但財多破耗，而且不能得缺。雖壬水生甲，遺業數十萬但運走土金，未免家業退而子息艱也。

Four pillars: Renchen, Jiachen, Xinyou, Dingyou; major years: Yisi, Bingwu, Dingwei, Wushen, Jiyou, Gengxu. The metal of Xin is born in the third month of spring, when the earth branches have Chén and You in harmony. The heavenly stems have Ren water and Ding fire both visible, which seems favorable at first glance. However, the two Chén branches are moist earth, which can only help the metal by nurturing it, not by generating it. The Ding fire is weak and lacks support from the earth branches. Although the Ji wood can generate fire, the earth branches Chén and You transform into metal, so the Ji wood is preoccupied with its own survival. This person obtained a government post through donation, but not only did he spend money, but he also failed to secure an actual position. Although there is Ren water generating Ji wood, he inherited property worth tens of thousands, but due to the major years moving through earth and metal, his family fortune inevitably declined, and his children also faced difficulties.

臺閣勳勞百世傳，天然清氣發機權。原注：能如人之出身，至於地位之在小，亦不易推。若夫為獨為卿，清中又有一種權勢出入矣，不專在一端而論。

The meritorious deeds of high-ranking officials can be passed down through generations, relying on that natural purity which manifests as strategy and authority. Original note: Even if one can determine a person's origin, it is not easy to infer the magnitude of their status. As for those who attain positions of prime minister or high ministers, within their purity there is another kind of power and grandeur that fluctuates, which cannot be judged solely by one aspect.

任氏曰：臺閣宰匍以及封疆之任，清氣發乎天然，秀氣出純粹，四柱內，且與喜神有情，格局之中並無可嫌之物。所用者皆真神所喜者皆真氣，此謂“清氣顯機權”也。度量寬宏能容物，施為純正不貪私，有潤澤生包之德，懷任重致遠之財也。

Ren Shi said: Those who can attain high government positions and major officials, their clear quality comes naturally, and their refined quality arises from purity. The useful god is present within the four pillars, and it harmonizes with the favored elements and temperament. There is nothing in the overall structure that is disliked or detested. All the elements used are true gods, and all the favored qualities are genuine energies. This is called "clear quality initiating the opportunity." Such people have a broad and inclusive character, capable of accommodating things; their conduct is upright, not greedy for private gain; they possess the virtue of nurturing and embracing all things, and they have the talent to shoulder great responsibilities and achieve far-reaching goals.

庚申、庚辰、戊辰、戊午。此董中堂造，天然然清氣在庚金也。

Four Pillars: Gengshen, Gengchen, Wuchen, Wuwu. This is the birth chart of Dong Zhongtang. The Wu earth was born in the Chen month and has its roots in Wu and Chen, making the body strong and the energy thick. It entirely relies on the two Geng metal food gods to release its essence, so the natural clear quality is manifested through the Geng metal.

甲子、丙寅、己丑、甲子。此劉中堂造，天然清氣在丙火也。

Four Pillars: Jiazi, Bingyin, Jichou, Jiazi. This is the birth chart of Liu Zhongtang. The day stem Ji earth is born in the寅 month, with two Jia heavenly stems as official stars in a strong position and two Zi water stems as wealth stars flowing downward. The day master is inherently weak, relying entirely on the month stem Bing fire as a nurturing star to transform the official stars and nourish the self. Therefore, the natural clarity of that period falls upon the Bing fire.

壬申、壬寅、丙子、乙未。此錢尚書造，天然清氣在乙木也。

Four pillars: Renshen, Renyin, Bingzi, Yiwei. This is the birth chart of Qian Shushang. The Bing fire is born in the寅 month and sits on the Zi water, with two Rens acting as seven killers that are both present and have roots in Shen. The killing force is not light, and the entire chart relies on the Yi wood in the hour pillar as the official star to transform the killer and nourish the self. Therefore, the natural clarity of that period falls upon the Yi wood.

己亥、丁卯、庚申、庚辰。此秦侍郎造，天然清氣在丁火也。

Four Pillars: Jihai, Dingmao, Gengshen, Gengchen. This is the birth chart of Qin Shilang. The Geng metal is born in the卯 month and sits on the申 which is its禄, and there is also Gengchen in the hour pillar to support the body. The body is strong enough to bear officialdom, and entirely relies on the Ding fire official in the month pillar, which is seated on卯 and gets nourishment, thus becoming the useful element. Therefore, the natural clarity in that aspect falls upon the Ding fire.

兵權獬豸弁冠客，刃煞神清氣勢特。原注：掌生殺之權，其風紀氣勢，必然超特，清中精神自異又或刃殺兩顯也。

A person who holds military power, wears the judicial robe of the獬豸, and dons the military cap of the武弁 has a destiny where the "Yangren" and "Qishash" are in balance, resulting in a clear and pure spirit and a distinctive aura. Original note: Those who wield the power of life and death necessarily possess an extraordinary sense of discipline and demeanor, with a clear quality that contains a unique spirit different from ordinary people; or both "Yangren" and "Qishash" are clearly present in the destiny chart.

任氏曰：掌生殺大權，兵刑重任者，其精神清氣，自然超特，必以刃旺敵殺，氣勢出人也。局中殺旺無財，印綬用刃者，或無印而有羊刃者，此謂殺刃神清也。氣勢特者，刃旺當權也，必文官而掌生殺之任。刃旺者，如春之甲用卯刃，乙用寅刃；夏之丙用午刃丁用巳刃，秋之庚用酉刃，辛用申刃，冬之用子刃，癸用亥刃是也。

Ren Shi said: Those who hold great power over life and death and bear the heavy responsibilities of military and criminal affairs naturally have a clear and outstanding spirit. They must use a strong Yangren to counteract the Seven Killers, thus being able to control the situation with their aura. If the Seven Killers are strong but there is no wealth to nourish them, or if there is a seal but also the use of Yangren, or if there is no seal but there is Yangren, this is called "Shashen Shenqing."the so-called "qishe te" means that Yangren is strong and in command; such people are mostly civil officials who hold the power of life and death.the so-called "renwang" means, for example, that for those born in spring, Jia wood uses卯 as its Yangren, and Yi wood uses寅 as its Yangren; for those born in summer, Bing fire uses午 as its Yangren, and Ding fire uses巳 as its Yangren; for those born in autumn, Geng metal uses酉 as its Yangren, and Xin metal uses申 as its Yangren; for those born in winter, Ren water uses子 as its Yangren, and Gui water uses亥 as its Yangren. This is what it means.

若刃旺敵殺，局中無食神印綬，而有財官者，氣勢雖特，神氣不清，乃武將之命也。如刃不當權，雖能敵殺，不但不能掌兵權，亦不能貴顯也。其人疾惡太嚴，如刃旺殺弱亦然，必傲物而驕慢也。

任氏曰：方面之任以及州縣之官，雖以財官為重，必須格局清純，更須日元生旺，神貫氣足，然後財官情協，則精氣神三者足矣。又加官旺有印，官衰有財，印旺有財，左右相通，上下不悖，根通年月，氣貫日時，身殺兩停，殺重逢印，殺輕遇財者，皆是也，必有利民濟物之心；反此者，非所宜也。

Ren Shi said: Officials who hold independent positions or serve as county magistrates, although they emphasize wealth and official rank, must have a pure and clear configuration. They also need the day's heavenly stem to be strong and vigorous, with the spirit fully present. Only then will wealth and official rank be harmonious, and the three elements of "essence, energy, and spirit" will be complete. Furthermore, if the official rank is strong and there is an official to transform it, or if the official rank is weak and there is wealth to nourish it, or if the official is strong and there is wealth to reduce it, the elements will support each other, and there will be no contradiction between upper and lower. The roots connect to the year and month, and the energy flows through the day and hour. Alternatively, if the body and the killer are in balance, and the killer is heavy with an official to transform it, or the killer is light with wealth to nourish it, all these are characteristics of such a destiny. Such people will surely have a heart to benefit the people and contribute to the world. If this is reversed, they are not suitable for local official positions.

丁丑、乙巳、癸酉、壬子／甲辰、癸卯、壬寅、辛丑、庚子、己亥。癸水生於巳月，火土雖旺，妙在支全金局，財官印三者皆得生助；更喜子時劫比幫身，精神旺足；尤喜中年運走北方。異睡出身，仕至郡守，名利兩全，生七子皆出仕。

Even the subordinate officials and chief officers of various government offices must also discern the distinction between clarity and turbidity, and recognize their forms and shadows. Original commentary: The highest honor is heaven, as the Tao Te Ching says, "Heaven receives oneness and becomes clear." Therefore, those who hold a single destiny of honor inevitably receive some degree of clarity. So, can officials of miscellaneous posts, assistants, and chief officers not also possess some clarity? It is only that they differ from those with more turbid energy. However, the forms and shadows of clarity and turbidity are the most difficult to distinguish. They are not confined solely to the clarity and turbidity found in the official star and its accompanying stars: in every aspect such as the overall structure, atmosphere, useful god, harmonious god, the transformation of the day ruler, following energy, spiritual energy, vital energy, the sequence and direction of gathering and dispersing, the restraint of temperament, the source and flow of principles and circumstances, and the distinction between main and subordinate, clarity and turbidity are present everywhere. One must first discern their forms from the surface, and once the form is understood, one can then seek the essence, and only then can one discuss the size, rank, and hierarchy of positions.

任氏曰：命者，天地陽陽五行之所鍾也，清者貴也，濁者賤也。所以雜職佐二等官，亦膺一命之榮，雖非格正局清，真神得用，而氣象格局之中，沖合理氣之內，必有一點清氣，雖清濁氣之形影難辨，總不外處天清地濁之理。

Ren Shi said: What is called destiny is formed by the gathering of the qi of heaven and earth, yin and yang, and the Five Phases. Clear qi brings about nobility, while turbid qi brings about lowliness. Therefore, officials of miscellaneous posts and assistants, though not reaching the level of proper structure and pure pattern, or the use of true deities, must still possess a bit of clear qi within their pattern and structure, though it has not yet manifested. Although the distinction between clear and turbid is hard to discern, it is ultimately based on the principle that heaven is above and clear, while earth is below and turbid. One should distinguish accordingly.

天干象天，地支象地。地支上升於天干者，輕清之氣也；天干下降於地支者，重濁之氣也。天干之氣本清，不忌濁也；地支之氣本濁，必要清也，此命理之貴乎變通也。天干濁，地支清者貴；地支濁，天干清者賤也。地支之氣上升者影也，天干之氣下降者形也，於升降形影，沖合制化中，分其清濁，究其輕重，論其尊卑可也。

Heavenly Stems are symbolic of Heaven, and Earthly Branches are symbolic of Earth. The qi from Earthly Branches that rises to the Heavenly Stems is light and clear; the qi from Heavenly Stems that descends to the Earthly Branches is heavy and turbid. Heavenly Stems inherently possess clarity, so they do not fear a bit of turbidity; Earthly Branches inherently possess turbidity, so they must be clear. This is precisely where the value of flexibility in destiny lies. When Heavenly Stems are turbid but Earthly Branches are clear, it indicates nobility; when Earthly Branches are turbid but Heavenly Stems are clear, it indicates low status. The qi rising from Earthly Branches is called "shadow," and the qi descending from Heavenly Stems is called "form." In the process of rising and descending, form and shadow, mutual conflict and harmony, and transformation and regulation, we can distinguish clarity and turbidity, examine lightness and heaviness, and determine hierarchy. That is sufficient.

壬辰、壬寅、戊戌、丙辰／癸卯、甲辰、乙巳、丙午、丁未、戊申。戊土生於寅月，木旺土虛，天干兩壬克丙生寅，此天干之氣濁，財星壞印，所以書香不繼。喜寅能納水生火，日主坐戌之燥土，使壬水不致沖奔，其清處在寅也。異路出身，丙運升縣令。

Four Pillars: Renchen, Rennyin, Wuxu, Bingchen; Grand Years: Guimao, Jiachen, Yisi, Bingwu, Dingwei, Wushen. The Wutu was born in the寅month, where wood is strong and earth is weak; the two Ren water in the heavenly stems both attack the Bing fire official star and nourish the wood in寅, which is the turbid qi of the heavenly stems. 乙酉、丙戌、癸酉、丁巳／乙酉、甲申、癸未、壬午、辛巳、庚辰。癸酉日元，生於戌月，地支官印相生，肖可知矣。所嫌者，天士內財得地，兼之乙木助火克金，所以書香難遂。喜秋金有氣，異路出身，至巳運逢財壞印，丁艱回籍。
