Appendix: Feng Shui

凡占風水要推詳，五件俱全不可傷。財動田園多進退，不然尊長有災殃。父興必是還魂地，小口畜牲總不昌。鬼動弟兄多忤逆，戶門不利惹官妨。兄興財物多消耗，或是陰人主少亡。子動雖然無訟事，兒孫不貴外人殃。但得子孫無損害，枝枝葉葉永無疆。

When divining about a风水 (feng shui) burial site, one must carefully examine: the five categories of lines—parents, siblings, children, wealth, and official ghost—should all be present and not harmed. If the wealth line is activated, there will be uncertainty in the family's land and property, or there may be misfortune among the elders. If the parents line is activated, it indicates that a burial has already taken place and needs to be changed again, known as a "return soul site," and the family's children and livestock will not thrive. If the official ghost line is activated, there will be much discord among siblings, the family will be inauspicious, and legal troubles may follow. If the siblings line is activated, there will be much expenditure of wealth, or it may indicate the premature death of female family members. If the children line is activated, although there will be no legal troubles, the children will not achieve high status and will suffer from external misfortunes. In summary, as long as the children line is not harmed, the lineage will continue endlessly.

（一）遷居先以動爻求，動爻旺相決無憂。初爻旺相鄉村吉，二爻旺相好居州。三爻市井四坊鎮，五近京師住最優。上爻好向山林住，龍扶子動獲祥休。白虎當頭休妄動，螣蛇纏足莫彺謀。朱雀交重防口舌，玄武遷移被賊偷。朱雀又臨官鬼位，官司口舌有來由。那更克世兼持世，病遭危困訟遭囚。六爻安靜休搬動，亂動移居又不周。

The first section. When divining about moving house, first look at the moving line. If the moving line is prosperous and strong, the decision is clear and there will be no worries. If the first line is prosperous and strong, it is suitable to live in the countryside; if the second line is prosperous and strong, it is suitable to live in a state city; if the third line is prosperous and strong, it indicates living in a market area; if the fourth line is prosperous and strong, it indicates living in a town; if the fifth line is prosperous and strong, it is suitable to live near the capital, and that is the best place; if the top line is prosperous and strong, it is suitable to live in the mountains and forests. If the Azure Dragon supports and the Children line moves, good fortune and blessings will be obtained. If the White Tiger is at the forefront, do not act rashly; if the Snake coils around the feet, do not hurry to plan. If the Vermilion Bird overlaps and moves, be cautious of disputes and arguments; if the Black Tortoise is involved in the movement, there is a risk of theft during the move. If the Vermilion Bird also appears on the Official Ghost line, there will be reasons for lawsuits and disputes; if it also controls or affects the World Line, then illness will lead to danger and difficulty, and lawsuits will result in imprisonment. If all six lines are quiet, do not move; if all six lines are active, moving house will not be complete.

外克內兮應克世，舊宅不如新宅利。內克外兮世克應，遷徒不如居舊地。世應相生內外和，守舊遷居總如意。若教動處落空亡，不利遷移利守常。五世游魂搬則吉，內爻旺相住無妨。若然內外俱衰敗，守又災危搬又殃。此是命途多舛錯，何須怨恨費商量。鬼化子孫移富貴，財爻化鬼住安康。

The outer trigram overcomes the inner trigram, and the response line overcomes the world line, indicating that an old house is less favorable than a new one. If the inner trigram overcomes the outer trigram, and the world line overcomes the response line, then staying in the old place is better than moving. When the world and response lines are mutually supportive and the inner and outer trigrams are harmonious, whether staying or moving will bring satisfaction. If the moving line falls into an empty position, it is unfavorable for moving and favorable for staying. If the divination results in a fifth generation hexagram or a wandering soul hexagram, moving is auspicious. If the lines of the inner trigram are strong and flourishing, staying is also acceptable. However, if both the inner and outer trigrams are weak, then staying is dangerous and moving will also bring misfortune—this is the natural course of life full of difficulties, so why should one be resentful or waste time discussing? If the ghost line transforms into the children line, moving will bring wealth and honor; if the wealth line transforms into the official ghost line, staying will bring health and peace.

（二）移居須忌鬼交重，世值空亡不可逢。卦入墓中難起離，若逢動處路頭通。內休外旺移終吉，內旺外休行必凶。內外若然俱有氣，縱橫去住任西東。

The second one. Moving house is most忌 to have the official ghost爻 overlapping and activating, and it is also not advisable to encounter the world line falling into emptiness. If the hexagram enters the storage, it will be difficult to move forward; if there is an activation within the lines, the path will be smooth. If the inner trigram is weak and confined while the outer trigram is prosperous and strong, the move will ultimately be auspicious; if the inner trigram is prosperous and strong while the outer trigram is weak and confined, leaving will certainly bring misfortune. If both the inner and outer trigrams have vitality, then movement will be free, whether going east or west, staying or leaving, it is all up to you.

（三）遷徒先將父母推，財興克父必生災。子孫發動須興旺，兄鬼交重禍患來。

The third oracle. When divining about moving house, start with the parents'爻. This is because the parents'爻 represent the house and documents. If the wife's wealth爻 is active and attacks the parents'爻, disaster is certain. If the children's爻 becomes active and is prosperous and strong, this indicates a flourishing situation. However, if the siblings'爻 and the official ghost's爻 both become active together, calamity is imminent.

若占墳冢靜為強，發動之時便反常。初世出官為大吉，二爻持世次為良。三爻主世平平穩，四爻半吉保安康。五六兩爻懼不吉，游魂後代必為商。歸魂猶自三分好，坎卦占來定不昌。為甚乾坤無忌諱，高低無物不包藏。未葬之前亡在外，既葬須知內是亡。

Divination for burial sites favors a calm and stable hexagram, as once movement occurs, it becomes chaotic and unsettled. If the World Line is in the first line, it indicates the deceased will have an official position, which is very auspicious. If the World Line is in the second line, it is slightly less favorable. If it is in the third line, it is steady and safe. If it is in the fourth line, it is half auspicious and can ensure health and safety. If the World Line is in the fifth or sixth lines, it is generally unfavorable. If the hexagram is a wandering soul hexagram, the descendants will certainly engage in commerce. A returning soul hexagram is still somewhat beneficial. If the hexagram belongs to the坎 (Water) trigram, it indicates certain decline. Why are the Qian (Heaven) and Kun (Earth) trigrams not considered ominous? Because Qian represents Heaven and Kun represents Earth, which encompass and support everything, high or low. Before the burial, the deceased's position is in the outer trigram; after burial, the inner trigram indicates where the deceased resides.

內外相生為上吉，比和決定福難量。殺交內外還相剋，損宅傷財禍幾場。青龍旺相來持世，管取存亡獲吉祥。乾坤不動墳安穩，龍喜交重家道昌。五墓劫神傷子息，三丘陰殺損妻房。世旺身生官入墓，子孫代代入朝堂。殺臨父母憂家長，劫犯陰爻宅母當。鬼爻不動亡人吉，身位安寧祭主康。破家只為財為鬼，發福多因陰變陽。沖破臨身發有礙，合神持世卻無妨。

The inner and outer trigrams mutually generating and supporting each other is the highest level of auspiciousness. If the two trigrams' Five Phases are harmonious, the blessings are beyond measure. If evil influences are active and the inner and outer trigrams are mutually controlling, then the household will suffer loss of property and bring about several misfortunes. If the Azure Dragon is prosperous and strong and holds the world line, both the deceased and the living will surely gain good fortune. If the Qian and Kun trigrams remain still, the burial ground will be secure; if the Azure Dragon and Heavenly Joy overlap and become active, the family will flourish. The Five Tombs and Robbery Sha will harm the descendants, while the three burial grounds and the dark evil will damage the wife. If the world line is strong and the body line receives support, and the official ghost enters the storage, the descendants will be able to serve in government generation after generation. If evil influences are on the parents' line, the worry will be upon the head of the family; if Robbery Sha affects the dark line, the misfortune will fall upon the main wife. If the official ghost remains still, the deceased will be safe and auspicious; if the body line position is peaceful, the one performing the rites will be healthy and well. The decline of the family business is due to the wealth line transforming into the official ghost and the official ghost being in power; prosperity and blessings mostly come from the dark line transforming into the bright line. If a breaking influence is added to the body line, when it becomes active, there will be obstacles; but if a harmonizing influence holds the world line, it will be without trouble.

占身身世要先知，神殺交重次第推。身旺龍持多吉慶，身衰虎並定憂疑。子孫持世明而喜，兄弟臨身悔足危。切忌勾陳臨鬼旺，卻宜天喜與財依。財臨陽位財源廣，陰位妻交妻妾宜。祿馬貴人三合併，臨身妙義福根基。子孫發動添人口，父母交重官可期。

To divinate someone's background and fortune, first determine where the "body line" falls, then examine how various auspicious deities and malevolent forces interact within the hexagram. If the "body line" is prosperous and strong with the "Azure Dragon" present, the person will experience many joyful events throughout their life. However, if the "body line" is weak and shares the position with the "White Tiger," there will be constant worries and doubts. If the "children" line holds the "body line," the future is bright and pleasant. If the "siblings" line is at the body position, there will be many regrets and dangers. The most unfavorable situation is when the "Gou Chen" and a prosperous "official ghost" share the same position. The most favorable is when the "Heavenly Joy" and "wealth" line are together. If the "wealth" line is on a yang line, the source of wealth is broad; if it is on a yin line and active, it is suitable for marriage and taking in a concubine. When the "salary," "horse," and "Heavenly Ethical Nobleman" meet together and are at the body position, this is the foundation of good fortune. If the "children" line is active, it indicates the family will have a new member. If the "parents" line changes, one can expect achievements in official positions and fame.

內卦為身外為命，身命比和任意為。世為身兮應為命，世應相生更是奇。世命應身刑又克，不傷自己即傷妻。妻財不現財無聚，卦沒子孫難立兒。更將八卦推心屬，內坎機圓心滿足。內兌柔和有主張，內乾果斷無私曲。離明坤厚性融通，巽順艮卑謙自牧。身命但能依此推，青龍天喜皆為福。

One interpretation holds that the inner trigram represents "self" and the outer trigram represents "destiny," and if the inner and outer trigrams are harmonious and not in conflict, one's life will proceed smoothly. Another interpretation takes the "world line" as "self" and the "response line" as "destiny," and if the world and response lines are mutually supportive, it is a rare good omen. If there is both conflict and control between the world and response lines, it indicates either harm to oneself or harm to the spouse. If the hexagram lacks the "wealth" line, wealth cannot be retained; if it lacks the "children" line, offspring will be difficult to establish. Further, using the moral qualities of the eight trigrams to infer the person's character: if the inner trigram is Kan, the mind is flexible and content; if it is Dui, the nature is gentle yet decisive; if it is Qian, actions are resolute and impartial. Li trigram signifies clarity, Kun trigram signifies depth, and both temperaments are adaptable. Xun trigram signifies flexibility, Gen trigram signifies humility, and both can maintain virtue. As long as self and destiny are analyzed according to these principles, any line with "Azure Dragon" or "Heavenly Joy" is considered auspicious.

立命先推父母鄉，青龍同位最為祥。螣蛇白虎憂尊長，玄武勾陳宅母當。父母休囚離祖早，兩重父母過親房。殺神朱雀同時並，重病如何得起床。子孫持世為全吉，若值青龍子異常。子坐勾陳多樸實，子交朱雀擅文章。螣蛇犯子愚而濁，白虎持孫勇且強。玄武子孫同位發，男為盜賊女猖狂。子孫若值游魂卦，此子生來好遠方。陽化陰爻端正女，陰交陽體秀才郎。

To calculate a person's six relations, one should first examine the 'Parents' line. If the 'Azure Dragon' and the 'Parents' line are in the same position, it is most auspicious. If the 'Vermilion Snake' or 'White Tiger' is present, there will be worries about the elders. If the 'Black Tortoise' or 'Gou Chen' is present, there will be troubles related to the mother. If the 'Parents' line is weak and confined, it indicates that the person will leave the family business at an early age. If there are two instances of the 'Parents' line in the hexagram, it usually means the person was adopted by another branch of the family. If the 'Inauspicious Sha' (evil killer) and 'Vermilion Bird' both appear with the 'Parents' line, the elders will suffer from a serious illness that prevents them from getting up. If the 'Children' line holds the 'World Line', it is a complete auspicious sign. If the 'Children' line also meets the 'Azure Dragon', the son will be extraordinary. If the 'Children' line is occupied by the 'Black Tortoise', the son will be simple and honest. If the 'Children' line is active and accompanied by the 'Vermilion Bird', the son will be good at literature. If the 'Vermilion Snake' affects the 'Children' line, the son will be dull and confused. If the 'White Tiger' holds the 'Children' line, the son will be brave and strong. If the 'Black Tortoise' and the 'Children' line are in the same position and active, if it is a male, he will become a thief, if it is a female, she will act recklessly. If the 'Children' line is in the wandering soul hexagram, the child will have a natural inclination to travel far from home. If a yang line changes to a yin line, it indicates the birth of a well-mannered daughter. If a yin line changes to a yang line, it indicates the birth of a talented scholar.

妻財發動青龍助，因妻致富妙難量。財臨朱雀妻賢慧，妻犯勾陳妻病殃。螣蛇共位妻應拙，白虎同行妻性剛。妻臨玄武多陰暗，心意瞞人必不良。兩位妻財俱旺相，一妻一妾美容光。卦若無妻常獨自，妻財安靜保安康。妻財合世夫妻順，妻位生身家道昌。

The '妻财' hexagram moves and is assisted by '青龙', indicating wealth gained through the wife, with benefits beyond measure. When '妻财' is accompanied by '朱雀', the wife is wise and virtuous. If '妻财' is afflicted by '勾陈', the wife may suffer from frequent illness. When '螣蛇' shares the same position as '妻财', the wife is dull and unskilled. If '白虎' travels with '妻财', the wife has a strong and stubborn nature. When '妻财' is associated with '玄武', the wife tends to act in secret, keeps matters hidden, and is likely to have ulterior motives. If there are two '妻财' hexagrams in the divination chart that are both prosperous and strong, it signifies having both a wife and a concubine, both of whom are beautiful. If there are no '妻财' hexagrams at all in the chart, the person is likely to remain single for a long time. If '妻财' remains quiet and unmoving, the household will be peaceful and healthy. When '妻财' harmonizes with '世爻', the couple will be in harmony. If '妻财' generates the '身爻', the family will flourish.

官鬼青龍同一位，家榮子貴壽延長。朱雀並官多訟事，勾陳帶鬼損田莊。螣蛇犯鬼多縈絆，白虎交官大害傷。玄武當官奸與盜，兩重官鬼必憂喪。若占官府反為吉，福厚官高名譽揚。兄弟加龍猶且可，若同朱雀必相妨。螣蛇白虎皆凶兆，玄武勾陳總不祥。吉處只宜常旺相，凶爻卻要落空亡。

The 'Official Ghost' and 'Azure Dragon' appearing in the same line indicate family honor and prosperity, sons and brothers achieving high status, and long life. When 'Vermilion Bird' and 'Official Ghost' are both present, there is likely to be litigation. If 'Gou Chen' accompanies 'Official Ghost', there will be damage to land and estates. If 'Teng Sha' invades 'Official Ghost', matters will be entangled and unclear. If 'White Tiger' interacts with 'Official Ghost', there will be major harm. If 'Black Tortoise' occupies the position of 'Official Ghost', it signifies theft and deceit. If two 'Official Ghosts' appear in the hexagram, there will be sorrow and loss. However, when divining about official positions or government affairs, 'Official Ghost' becomes a favorable deity, indicating deep blessings, high rank, and widespread reputation. If 'Siblings' line is accompanied by 'Azure Dragon', it is still acceptable, but if it shares the same line as 'Vermilion Bird', there will be mutual harm. If 'Teng Sha' or 'White Tiger' appear on the 'Siblings' line, they are ominous signs. If 'Black Tortoise' or 'Gou Chen' appear on the 'Siblings' line, it is generally unfavorable. In summary, the lines with auspicious deities should remain prosperous and strong, while the lines with malevolent forces should be in 'Kong Wang' (void) for the best outcome.

內身陽鬼丈夫持，外應財陰總是妻。世應相生婚大吉，比和世應配相宜。青龍六合扶為美，三合子孫臨更奇。應動三刑刑莫問，外交六害害無疑。三爻並偶生成少，六位純陽養育稀。男女合同咸泰益，夫妻反目革睽離。夬宮陽壯妻難保，姤卦陰強家不齊。不有其躬蒙裡斷，夫征不復漸中推。一奇一偶成親順，雙鬼雙財匹配違。殺遇妻財妻子厄，殺臨官鬼丈夫哀。

When divining about marriage, the inner trigram's 'body line' being yang and also 'official ghost' represents the husband, while the outer trigram's 'response line' being yin and also 'wealth' represents the wife. If the 'world' and 'response' lines are mutually generating, the marriage is very auspicious. If the 'world' and 'response' lines are harmonious and not conflicting, it also indicates a suitable spouse. If 'azure dragon' and 'six harmony' support the reading, it is even more favorable. If the 'three harmony' pattern is present along with 'children' entering the hexagram, it is particularly unusual. If the 'response line' moves and incurs 'three punishments', this marriage should not be further questioned. If the outer trigram becomes 'six harms', there will certainly be harm. If all three lines are even yin numbers, there will be few children; if all six lines are yang without any yin, it will be difficult to raise offspring. If the hexagram is one of 'Xian', 'Tai', or 'Yi', it indicates harmony between husband and wife. If the hexagram is one of 'Ge', 'Kui', or 'Li', it suggests marital discord. The hexagram 'Guai' indicates excessive yang energy, making it hard to keep the wife. The hexagram 'Gou' indicates excessive yin energy, leading to family disharmony. The line statement of the hexagram 'Meng' at the sixth line three says 'not having one's own', and the line statement of the hexagram 'Jian' at the ninth line three says 'the husband goes on a mission and does not return'. If these lines appear in the divination, it indicates an unfavorable outcome. If there is one odd and one even line, with yin and yang properly matched, the marriage will proceed smoothly. If two 'official ghosts' or two 'wealth' lines appear together, there will be problems in the marital relationship. If凶杀 (evil killing) falls on the 'wealth' line, the wife and children will face misfortune; if凶杀 (evil killing) falls on the 'official ghost' line, the husband will be unfortunate.

妻財官鬼青龍助，富貴男兒福德妻。官鬼兩重相剋應，女人曾許兩家期。白虎臨財莫問婚，勾加官位剋夫身。殺臨兄弟多爭競，朱雀臨身公訟因。勾陳陰殺休求女，玄武加財休問親。龍並子孫全吉兆，喜重父母福相鄰。坤變坎宮男破體，乾來離位女非真。欲知女子如何性，坎主心聰艮沉靜。兌必和柔巽必恭，坤爻寬厚乾剛正。文明女子為逢離，智慧男兒因見震。乾宮面部大而寬，坤主魁肥莫小看。艮卦決然身體小，坎爻定是臉團圓。兌家女子瑩而白，震位妻兒奇且端。巽體容顏如瑞雪，離宮和潤可人觀。有亡有劫都無用，無子無財總不堪。

The "wife's wealth" and "official ghost" both receive the assistance of the "azure dragon," indicating that the man will be wealthy and the woman has good fortune. The divination shows two instances of "official ghost" that are also attacking the "response line," suggesting that this woman was previously engaged to two families. The "white tiger" is present on the "wife's wealth" line, meaning this marriage should not be further questioned. The "gou chen" is located on the "official ghost" position, which will harm the husband. AInauspicious Sha (evil killing) is present on the "siblings" line, indicating disputes between both parties. The "vermilion bird" is on the "self line," suggesting the cause is related to legal matters. When "gou chen" and the阴杀 (dark killing) are both present, one should not pursue this marriage. If the "black tortoise" is added to the "wife's wealth," one should also avoid this marriage. The presence of the "azure dragon" and "children" together is a completely auspicious sign. The "heavenly joy" overlapping with the "parents" line indicates good fortune nearby. When the "kun" hexagram transforms into the "kan" palace, the man's body is already broken. When the "qian" hexagram arrives at the "li" position, the woman is not perfect. To understand the woman's character: the "kan" hexagram indicates a sharp mind, the "gen" hexagram indicates calmness, the "dui" hexagram indicates gentleness, the "xun" hexagram indicates humility, the "kun" line indicates kindness, and the "qian" line indicates integrity. If the "li" hexagram is present, it indicates a woman with literary talent; if the "zhen" hexagram is present, it indicates a wise man. Now looking at their appearance: the "qian" palace indicates a broad face, the "kun" hexagram indicates a tall and robust figure, which should not be underestimated; the "gen" hexagram indicates a short stature, the "kan" line indicates a round face; the "dui" hexagram indicates a woman with smooth and fair skin, the "zhen" position indicates a wife and children with unusual yet handsome features; the "xun" hexagram indicates a pale and beautiful face, and the "li" palace indicates a pleasant and harmonious complexion. However, if the divination contains "wang shen" (wandering spirit) and "jie sha" (cutting off killing), these benefits are of no use. If there is neither "children" nor "wife's wealth," it is ultimately unsuitable.

陰陽得位俱稱吉，純陰枉使心和力，純陽退悔不成婚，縱使強成終鬱鬱。金爻主妻好容光，木爻瘦小更修長。土主形骸肥且矮，火爻定是髮稀黃。水爻心性多聰慧，六合發動最為昌。青龍旺相臨財位，娶妻萬倍有資妝。若逢天寡天鰥殺，夫婦應知不久長。

Yin and Yang each take their proper position, and this is considered auspicious. If the hexagram is entirely Yin, it indicates wasted effort and mental energy. If the hexagram is entirely Yang, the man may change his mind midway, and the marriage will not succeed. Even if it is forced to proceed, the couple will remain unhappy throughout their lives. Furthermore, considering the Five Phases, we examine the woman's appearance and physique: 'Wealth' belongs to metal, indicating a radiant wife; to wood, a slender and tall figure; to earth, a plump and short stature; to fire, thinning and yellowing hair; and to water, a sharp and intelligent mind. When the hexagram meets 'Six Harmony' and becomes active, it is most prosperous. If the 'Azure Dragon' is strong and flourishing at the 'Wealth' position, the wife will bring a hundredfold fortune in dowry. However, if 'Heavenly Widow' and 'Heavenly Bachelor' twoInauspicious Sha appear, it indicates that the couple will not last long together.

凡人占卦問婚姻，財鬼雙全便可成。鬼是夫爻愁子動，財為妻也怕兄興。鬼爻持動女妨害，婦意嫌夫不相愛。財爻持動夫妨妻，此則終身應不泰。鬼旺克財妻不就，子旺傷夫事可疑。八純動者生離別，五世游魂損小兒。占婚本要陰與陽，動時皆動且為良。陽陽不動一財鬼，應陰世陽最吉祥。更得世爻居內卦，團圓男女百年昌。本宮無氣財有氣，婦舍雖貧女容媚。本宮旺相財囚死，婦舍雖貧女不美。

When divining about marriage, if both the "Wealth" and "Official Ghost" lines are present, the marriage can be successful. The "Official Ghost" line represents the husband's line and is most feared when the "Children" line becomes active and controls it. The "Wealth" line represents the wife's line and is also feared when the "Siblings" line becomes active and competes with it. If the "Official Ghost" line holds the World Line and becomes active, it indicates that the woman is harmed, and the woman may dislike the man, leading to mutual dislike. If the "Wealth" line holds the World Line and becomes active, it indicates that the husband harms the wife, and such a relationship will never be peaceful. If the "Official Ghost" line is prosperous and strong and controls the "Wealth" line, the wife cannot be married. If the "Children" line is prosperous and strong and harms the "Official Ghost" line, the matter is suspicious. If the eight pure trigrams appear and the lines are active, it indicates that the couple will part ways, one dying and the other surviving. If the five generations trigram or the wandering soul trigram appears, it indicates harm to the child. Divination for marriage originally emphasizes the balance of yin and yang. If any line becomes active, all lines should be active. If two yang lines face each other but remain inactive, and the trigram contains only one "Wealth" and one "Official Ghost" line, with the "Response Line" being yin and the "World Line" being yang, it is most auspicious. If the "World Line" is located within the Inner Trigram, the couple will reunite and enjoy prosperity for a hundred years. If the trigram's energy is weak but the "Wealth" line has vitality, the female family may be poor but the woman is beautiful. If the trigram's energy is strong and the "Wealth" line is restrained and weak, the female family may not be poor, but the woman is not beautiful.

子變為官胎裡死，官爻為子產而亡。母動子搖俱難保，母靜子安皆吉祥。子母兩爻都旺相，有龍有喜復安康。陰中陽現奇男子，陽變陰爻好女娘。子與母爻雖變動，青龍持世亦無妨。子孫重見龍交喜，決定齊生子一雙。欲叩孩兒分娩日，胎神沖破子生方。

世應既和身又旺，上書獻策必成名。日辰龍德俱生旺，縣宰州官照福星。祿馬貴人臨月建，公侯責任職非輕。天符值土應多阻，月建持金必有驚。父母最宜逢六合，世身切忌犯三刑，刑殺克身兼克世，陷身取辱誤平生。朝君不可逢屯蹇，面聖偏宜見晉升。那更天符持木德，高遷重任祿光榮。

If further the "Heavenly Talisman" holds the wood virtue line, it signifies a high promotion and great honor and salary.

凡占科舉事如何，子動兄搖榜下過。父發鬼興財又旺，斷然一舉便登科。要問舉人榮達時，先將六爻為根基。主司之位在月建，天子之爻太歲推。一帶喜神來合卦，今秋榮達定無疑。若占南省事如何，六爻旺相始登科。父母發時為印綬，妻財動處必磋跎。空亡入鬼憂空返，劫殺臨官節節蹉。更看子孫如發動，此人平昔枉吟哦。應舉求官問後先，官旺文書有氣前。父作文書為直事，月建扶官作狀元。

凡占進職與升官，父動為先鬼次看。父鬼旺興須有分，兄財子動枉心歡。求官鬼吏克身賢，初爻是吏，若鬼臨初爻，來克本身，卻主為廉察慈惠賢明官員也。驛馬相扶官職遷。若驛馬扶身，或臨官位，定主升遷也。坎離二卦冬三月，坎陽離陰，水火既濟，宜於冬三月也。震巽明知申酉年。震巽木，得申酉金，官旺也。

If the hexagram consists of Kan and Li, the matter will occur in the third month of winter; the original commentary says that Kan represents Yang and Li represents Yin, and the interaction of water and fire forms the image of the completed transformation, which is suitable for the three months of winter. If the hexagram consists of Zhen and Xun, the matter will definitely occur in the years of Shen and You; the original commentary says that Zhen and Xun both belong to wood, and when they meet the metal of Shen and You, it is exactly the time when the "Official Ghost" is prosperous and strong.

世應驛馬相合吉，世應與驛馬合，求官大利也。坎咸復卦定狐疑。此三卦主心中疑惑。申酉辰戌持世吉，任官遇祿好施為。申酉持世及得祿，最吉也。鬼臨身世得官真，卦爻旺相為歡欣。驛馬空亡徒費力，卦遭胎沒枉勞神。若卦遇胎沒，定枉勞神。立春後巽胎離沒，若得家人卦之類是也。

When the Official Ghost is present on the Person Line or the World Line, the official position is truly attainable, and if the hexagram lines are prosperous and strong, it is even more joyful. If the Post Horse falls into the Empty Wasteland, it is merely a waste of effort; if the hexagram encounters the positions of Tai (fetus) or Mei (non-existence), it is in vain. The original commentary says: if the hexagram encounters Tai or Mei, it is certainly a waste of effort; after the Beginning of Spring, the Xun trigram is Tai and the Li trigram is Mei, for example, if the hexagram is the Family trigram, this is the case.

旺爻克應是不良，應入墓時憂死亡。世爻受克遭貶謫，若克他爻倍俸糧。世受克，遭貶罰，世克他爻，主倍得俸糧。人吏空亡難立腳，初為人吏爻，若值空亡，縱使為官清正，吏人無氣，誰與奉行？如樹無枝，所以難立。內外純陰名不揚。陰柔不立之象，若內外卦俱陰，安能振作？是以名不揚也。子爻克鬼無官祿，福德爻交反不昌。子動克傷官鬼，故不昌也。

If both the inner and outer trigrams consist entirely of yin lines, then reputation is not prominent. The original commentary says: this is the image of softness and weakness being unable to stand on its own. If both inner and outer trigrams are yin, how can one rise up? Therefore, reputation does not spread. If the line representing children overcomes the line representing officials, there will be no official salary. When this line of fortune and virtue becomes active, it actually leads to decline. The original commentary says: when the line of children becomes active, it will overcome the line of officials, thus leading to decline.

卦克世身職不安，若卦身所屬，克世爻並身位，定主不能安職。如乾宮遁卦，本屬金，遇世屬火是也。身克人吏百憂攢。太剛則折，若身世克初人吏爻，定主吏皆退避。凡百事業，主有憂攢之兆。白虎動時驚恐至，若白虎旺動，驚恐立至也。子孫持世必隳官。子動，乃求官大忌，必至隳壞也。若問文官並武職，唐符國印求端的。唐符國印，求官必須用之。

寅申之年巳亥為，寅申之年，巳為唐符，亥為國印，以下類推。巳亥之年寅申覓。子午之年卯酉求，卯酉之年子午出。辰戌之年丑未方，丑未之年在辰戌。鬼臨符印最為佳，當作朝中資輔翼。宜靜而動必升遷，宜動而靜多掩抑。巽象搖時東與南，乾位交重出西北。

君臣世應上下交，世為君、應為臣，上為君、下為臣。若上下相生，主君臣賡歌，噓沸一堂也。練行宜往興功績。練者，訓練士卒也。遇卦中世應相生，有命訓練之行，往之，必建功也。欲知卦內作何官，先向身中仔細看，火是文章喉舌位，火乃文明之象，故主翰苑之官。土為守令漸盤桓。盤桓者，修治城壘。土爻持世，故應此職也。水是江濱巡守職，金帶兵刑生殺權。木主工科司建創，大小皆隨衰旺言。隨動爻之休囚旺相，而定其官爵之尊卑也。

Earth represents officials responsible for local administration, whose duties involve maintaining and repairing fortifications; the original commentary says "disking" means maintaining and repairing fortifications, so if the Earth Line holds the World Line, it should be in such a position. Water represents positions responsible for guarding riverbanks, metal signifies authority over military affairs, punishment, and execution, and wood represents positions in the Ministry of Works, responsible for construction and innovation. The rank of officials depends on the strength and decline of the lines; the original commentary says that the rank and status of officials are determined by the prosperity or decline of the activated line.

喜神驛馬臨官鬼，美削重重有知己。美削者，舉紙箋也。因有喜神驛馬臨於官鬼，故美削重重，得知己之多也。就多符印兩爻權，更以唐符國印二爻推之，若果上卦發動，定主符印入手。符印爻所繫重，故再言。早晚當隨詔書起。符印既動，詔書立至。卦無太歲只升遷，太歲上卦，則主入朝，若無，但能遷改。太歲合時見天子。太歲若與世爻合，身位合，主入朝而見天子也。

It will eventually be followed by the issuance of an imperial edict and the appointment will be made. The original commentary says: once the symbols and seals have been activated, the imperial edict will arrive immediately. If the trigram does not contain the year of the current ruler, it is just a regular promotion. The original commentary says: if the year of the current ruler forms the upper trigram and is active, it indicates a summons to the court to meet the emperor; if there is no year of the current ruler, it can only mean a transfer to a different position. When the year of the current ruler is in harmony with the World Line, one can meet the emperor. 更得雷火殺重重，雷火寅豬申巳求，四孟從之遍一周。即時沖破為天后，便見求官驛馬流。其法正月起寅，二月丑，逆數十二位是也。不欲贅言，故以四孟提起。遇動，大吉之兆，應如下文：看看名位至王公。天乙貴人更相合，天乙貴人：正月在巳二月申，三月在亥四月寅。五九依然居巳上，未月至丑三位輪。若還遇動定為吉，子孫代代作公卿。其法只以巳申亥寅四位，周而復始輪行十二位，正月巳，二月申，餘仿此。代代為官受贈封。雷火貴人既合，非惟己身享祿，主代代受封贈也。此是天綱玄妙訣，勸君紬繹莫匆匆。

The original commentary includes a mnemonic verse: "Thunder and Fire" are sought from the four branches of寅, 亥, 申, and 巳, moving around the four beginning positions. The place that is then broken is the "Heavenly Empress," from which one can see where the "Post Horse" for seeking officialdom moves. The method is to start from 寅 in the first month, then move to 丑 in the second month, counting backward through twelve positions. I do not wish to elaborate further, so I only mention the four beginning positions as a summary. If thisInauspicious Sha is activated, it is actually a great auspicious sign, and its verification is as follows: one can see that one's status can reach that of a prince or marquis. If the "Heavenly Empress Nobleman" also joins in, it is even more favorable. The original commentary includes another mnemonic verse: the "Heavenly Empress Nobleman" is in 巳 in the first month, 申 in the second, 亥 in the third, and 寅 in the fourth; in the fifth and ninth months, it remains in 巳. In the sixth month, it starts at 丑 and rotates through three positions. If this auspicious deity is activated, it will certainly bring good fortune, indicating that one's descendants will hold official positions for generations. The method is to use the four positions of 巳, 申, 亥, and 寅, rotating through twelve months, with 巳 in the first month, 申 in the second, and so on. Thus, descendants will hold official positions and receive imperial honors. The original commentary says: when "Thunder and Fire" and "Heavenly Empress Nobleman" join together, not only will the person himself enjoy official rank, but also his descendants will receive honors and titles. All of these are profound secrets concerning the principles of heaven, so I urge everyone to carefully examine the details and not hastily glance over them.

若筮國家占天子，卦從本宮世上取。本宮為國世為君，本宮者，看所占之卦，在何宮即為國，世爻即為君王也。旺相比和得聖主。初民二士三大夫，四作公侯君在五。六為宗廟社稷神，動靜剛柔宜得所。六爻各要生合旺相，苟一位不得其所，則一國不寧矣。

If divining for the country concerning the affairs of the emperor, one should take the original trigram and the 'World Line' as the basis. The original trigram represents the country, and the 'World Line' represents the emperor. The original commentary says: the term 'original trigram' refers to determining which of the eight trigrams the divined hexagram belongs to; that trigram represents the country, and the 'World Line' represents the emperor. When both the original trigram and the 'World Line' are prosperous and strong, and in harmony, it indicates the presence of a wise and virtuous ruler. Each of the six lines has its own corresponding position: the first line represents the common people, the second line represents the scholars, the third line represents the ministers, the fourth line represents the marquises and dukes, the fifth line represents the emperor, and the sixth line represents the ancestral temples and the state gods. The movement, stillness, strength, and softness of each line should all be appropriate. The original commentary says: each of the six lines should be in a state of generation, harmony, prosperity, and strength. If any one of them is not in its proper position, the entire country will not be at peace.

大殺為災金主兵，大殺：正戌、二巳、三午、四未、五寅、六卯、七辰、八亥、九子、十丑、十一申、十二酉是也。水為昏墊土攻城。水動主有洪水之災，土動主有修治城壘之事。震離坎兌四方見，若遇此四宮，應在邊方也。坤艮宮中事未寧。六爻不動卦無殺，天下人民歌太平。

The 'Great Killing' (大杀) in the爻 position indicates calamity and disaster, and a metal爻 signifies military conflict. The original commentary lists the positions of 'Great Killing' according to the months: in the first month it is in the戌, in the second month in the巳, in the third month in the午, in the fourth month in the未, in the fifth month in the寅, in the sixth month in the卯, in the seventh month in the辰, in the eighth month in the亥, in the ninth month in the子, in the tenth month in the丑, in the eleventh month in the申, and in the twelfth month in the酉. A water爻 indicates flood and drowning, and a earth爻 suggests construction and siege. The original commentary states: if a water爻 is activated, there will be flood disasters; if an earth爻 is activated, there will be activities related to building fortifications. The four trigrams of Qian, Dui, Li, and Zhen are associated with events happening in the four directions; the original commentary says: if these four trigrams appear, the events will occur at the borders. The two trigrams of Kun and Gen indicate that things will not be at peace. If none of the six lines are activated and the hexagram does not contain anyInauspicious Sha (evil killing), then the people across the country will sing songs of peace and prosperity.

出兵交戰子當強，鬼旺他贏我必亡。財是草糧兄莫克，父為旌幟忌搖揚。水爻帶鬼來克我，須防劫寨及攻營。卻看有氣並無氣，方斷兵機輸與贏。若決勝負，以世應日辰官星論之。世為我將，應為彼軍，日辰為我卒，官鬼為彼兵。我克他，我勝。他克我，我負。若財興克父，必斬將奪旌。兄弟交重，必奪糧劫草。

When going to war, the "Children" line should be strong and prosperous; if the "Official Ghost" line is prosperous and strong, it indicates the enemy will win and our side will surely lose. The "Wealth" line represents provisions and supplies, which must not be attacked by the "Siblings" line. The "Parents" line represents the banner, which should not be shaken. If a water line brings the "Official Ghost" to attack us, we must be cautious of the enemy attacking our camp. We also need to examine whether the lines of both sides have vitality or not, in order to determine the outcome of the battle. The original commentary says: to decide the outcome of the battle, use the "World Line," "Response Line," the Day Branch, and the "Official Ghost" line. The "World Line" represents our general, the "Response Line" represents the enemy's army, the Day Branch represents our soldiers, and the "Official Ghost" represents the enemy's troops. If I overcome them, I win; if they overcome me, I lose. If the "Wealth" line is strong and overcomes the "Parents" line, it means capturing the general and seizing the banner. If the "Siblings" line is heavily active, it indicates the loss of provisions and supplies.

羽士緇流來問占，身安世靜最為先。身爻克世堪謀用，世應比和樂自然。世若克身當退守，財來克世好求緣。六爻不動為清福，一位交重事變遷。財旺正宜收佈施，鬼交偏好謁官員。世臨白虎官司繞，身遇勾陳心事纏。父母克身師接引，青龍持世貴周全。勾陳帶殺遭魔障，玄武臨財被賊冤。

The道士 and monks came to seek divination, and the most important thing is that the "Shen Yao" is stable and the "Shi Yao" is peaceful. If the "Shen Yao" overcomes the "Shi Yao," there can be plans and actions; if the "Shi Yao" and "Sheng Ying" are harmonious, there will be natural ease and comfort. If the "Shi Yao" overcomes the "Shen Yao" instead, one should retreat and stay calm; if the "Qi Cai" overcomes the "Shi Yao," it is appropriate to go out and seek support. If none of the six lines are active, it is a blessing of peace and quiet; as soon as one line moves, things will change. If the "Qi Cai" is prosperous and strong, it is suitable to receive offerings; if the "Guan Gui" moves, it is better to visit officials. If the "Shi Yao" is accompanied by the "Bai Hu," there will be legal troubles; if the "Shen Yao" meets the "Gou Chen," there will be worries and entanglements. If the "Fu Mu" overcomes the "Shen Yao," there will be guidance from elders; if the "Qing Long" holds the "Shi Yao," there will be support and care from noble persons. If the "Gou Chen" bringsInauspicious Sha, there will be obstacles and troubles; if the "Xuan Wu" is with the "Qi Cai," one may be falsely accused and suffer losses from thieves.

兄弟勾陳同位動，謹防法眷外勾連。貴臨父母師通聖，福德龍交弟子賢。父母重重身受克，斷然身被俗家牽。財空註疏徒勞力，鬼旺營謀枉費錢。亂動坐關為大忌，八純卻好去參玄。艮坤只可棲巖壑，離巽偏宜隱市廛。龍虎交馳宜訪道，坎離輻輳好安禪。游魂帶殺休云水，一世休囚莫置田。

The "Siblings" and "Gou Chen" are in the same line and are activated together; one should be cautious of fellow disciples or relatives causing trouble outside. The "Heavenly Master Nobleman" is on the "Parents" line, indicating the master has profound spiritual abilities. The "Children" line, which represents virtue and fortune, interacts with the "Azure Dragon," showing the disciple is virtuous. In the hexagram, the "Parents" are strong and numerous, while the "Body Line" is being attacked, indicating the person will be troubled by worldly matters. The "Wealth Line" is empty, meaning efforts in explaining scriptures will be in vain. The "Official Ghost" is prosperous and strong, so all endeavors will be wasted. When all lines are active, one should avoid seclusion and meditation; instead, it is appropriate to study the profound principles. If one gets the "Gen" and "Kun" hexagrams, it is suitable to reside in mountains and valleys. If one gets the "Li" and "Xun" hexagrams, it is suitable to live in the city. When the "Azure Dragon" and "White Tiger" interact, it is suitable to travel and seek wisdom. When the "Kan" and "Li" hexagrams combine, it is suitable to sit quietly and meditate. If the hexagram is a wandering one withInauspicious Sha (dangerous killing), one should not travel for pilgrimage. If the hexagram is of the current life with weak and confined energy, one should not buy land or property.

子動妻交還俗漢，世空身旺地行仙。身空不動頭頭道，應旺無魔處處禪。應偶世奇生又合，神清身靜壽綿綿。忽然負結財身動，未免填還俗債冤。世應不和身妄動。了身達命待驢年。木神太歲臨身命，即日逢神得正傳。太歲火神加父母，天邊恩命定來宣。問予末後天機事，拈筆書將一個緣。

The "Children" line is activated and the "Wealth" line is in motion, indicating someone who is about to renounce worldly life. The "World Line" is empty while the "Body Line" is prosperous and strong, suggesting someone who is a master of the Dao. If the "Body Line" is empty and unmoving, everything aligns with the Dao. If the "Response Line" is prosperous and strong without obstacles, one can meditate and seek enlightenment anywhere. The "Response Line" is even and the "World Line" is odd, and they both generate and harmonize with each other, resulting in clear mind and tranquil body, and a long life. Suddenly encountering an old connection with both the "Wealth" and "Body" lines in motion, one cannot avoid repaying debts from the worldly life. If the "World" and "Response" lines are not harmonious and the "Body Line" moves recklessly, wanting to end this life and understand the heavenly mandate, it will take until the time of a donkey and horse. The Wood God and the Year God are on top of the "Body" and "Destiny" lines, and on the day one meets a sage, one can receive the true teachings. The Year God and Fire God are on top of the "Parents" line, and the imperial decree of the court will certainly come down from the sky. As for the final heavenly secret, I just pick up my pen and write the character "Yuan" (connection).

求財交易財為主，發動臨身財必取。卦若無財及落空，一切營謀不堪許。財爻持世及克世，一買一賣利百倍。克身又得青龍扶，積玉堆金何算計。財爻外動較艱難，財在內興人送至。外生內兮應生世，假使財輕也容易。應克世兮世克身，有財到底難成遂。世應比和身又安，資財平穩無憂滯。財生庫旺聚錢財，子動龍交應稱意。財爻若值廢休囚，貨賤如塵宜措置。

When seeking wealth or engaging in trade, the "Wife Wealth" line is the main focus. If the "Wife Wealth" line is activated and also occupies the "Body Line," wealth can certainly be obtained. If the "Wife Wealth" line is not present in the hexagram or if it falls in the "Empty Wasteland," all business plans and efforts will be of no use. If the "Wife Wealth" line holds the "World Line" or comes to control the "World Line," buying and selling can bring a hundredfold profit. If it also controls the "Body Line" and receives assistance from the "Azure Dragon," wealth will accumulate in great quantities, beyond measure. If the "Wife Wealth" line is activated in the outer trigram, seeking wealth will be more difficult. If the "Wife Wealth" line is activated in the inner trigram, it means others will bring money to you. If the outer trigram generates the inner trigram and the "Response Line" generates the "World Line," even if the "Wife Wealth" line is light, obtaining wealth will still be easy. If the "Response Line" controls the "World Line" and the "World Line" in turn controls the "Body Line," even though there is wealth, it will be difficult to achieve. If the "World Line" and "Response Line" are harmonious and the "Body Line" is stable, wealth will be steady and there will be no worries or obstacles. If the "Wife Wealth" line receives support and the "Treasure Position" is strong, wealth can be accumulated. If the "Children" line is activated and the "Azure Dragon" is also active, everything will go smoothly. If the "Wife Wealth" line is in a weak and confined state, goods will be as cheap as dust, and it is advisable to sell them off as soon as possible.

財爻旺相貴如金，有貨必須乘早棄。財爻不動財平安，遇殺逢空終破費。外鬼牽將玄武來，官災盜賊重重悔。劫殺臨身兼克身，闇昧陰私須切忌。財爻驛馬木神扶，買賣成交還遇貴。兄弟螣蛇是悔神，財憂散失身憂否。莫教朱雀又當頭，官司口舌相連繫。兄弟化財雖有財，切須忌落人圈圓。折本傷財為甚麼？只為妻財化兄弟。子孫化財宜利多，財化子孫更非細。

The 'Wife Wealth' hexagram is prosperous and strong, indicating that goods are valuable like gold, and if one holds goods, they must sell them quickly. If the 'Wife Wealth' hexagram remains still, property will be safe; but if it meetsInauspicious Sha (malevolent killing stars) and falls into 'Empty Wasteland', there will eventually be expenses. The outer hexagram's 'Official Ghost' attracts the 'Black Tortoise', leading to repeated legal troubles and theft, causing regret. 'Plundering Killing' stars affecting the 'Body Hexagram' and harming it indicate hidden and private matters that must be carefully avoided. The 'Wife Wealth' hexagram is supported by 'Post Horse' and wood spirits, meaning that business deals can be successful and one can meet noble friends. 'Siblings' and 'Tang She' are gods that bring regret; when they appear, there will be worries about losing property and personal blockage. One should also avoid having 'Vermilion Bird' at the top, as it brings continuous legal disputes and verbal conflicts. When 'Siblings' transforms into 'Wife Wealth', although there is wealth, one must be cautious of falling into others' traps. Why does one suffer losses and expenses? It is because 'Wife Wealth' has transformed into 'Siblings'. When 'Children' transforms into 'Wife Wealth', benefits will certainly increase; when 'Wife Wealth' transforms into 'Children', the benefits will be even greater.

卻又青龍水上來，登山涉海多饒利。勾陳交鬼必淹留，行貨臨官被賊偷。忽爾妻財化官鬼，雖然獲利被官收。行商坐賈營財賦，切忌官爻臨本庫。不是官司送禍來，定然被賊偷將去。地頭克身世未周，陰爻必是女人留。滿船載寶榮歸者，蓋為身爻克地頭。欲問錢財何日得？應在身財生旺日。假令乾用木為財，亥卯日辰為準則。

If the "Azure Dragon" appears coming from the water爻, then traveling to mountains and crossing seas to do business will bring great benefits. When "Gou Chen" and "Official Ghost" interact, there will certainly be delays and obstacles; goods being transported with "Official Ghost" will be stolen by thieves. Suddenly, "Wealth" changes into "Official Ghost," although profit is gained, it will still be confiscated by the authorities. Merchants and traders dealing in goods should most fear the "Official Ghost"爻 appearing in their own palace's warehouse position — either they will be involved in legal disputes or their goods will be stolen. If the destination爻 overcomes the "Body爻," the affairs of the "World Line爻" will not be completed; if that爻 is yin, it is definitely due to being detained by a woman. Those who can return with a full ship of treasures and glory are because the "Body爻" overcomes the destination爻. To inquire about when the money will arrive, it should be on the days when the "Body爻" and "Wealth爻" are strong and supportive. For example, in the Qian Palace, wood is considered "Wealth," so the days of亥 and卯 are considered appropriate.

世應是財求易得，卦若無財少準憑。財爻化鬼成凶象，鬼化為財定吉神。財落空亡難把捉，若逢二殺賊相侵。二殺：乃劫殺、天賊殺。難求外怕財爻動，易覓財時在內興。世若克財休啟齒，財來克世得千金。諸爻若總無財象，子動龍交亦可尋。世應若合最為吉，子孫合時為福德。月德月建要相扶，求財數倍終須得。

The 'World Line' and 'Response Line' have the 'Wealth' on them, indicating that gaining wealth is easy; if the hexagram lacks 'Wealth', there is no basis for reference. When 'Wealth' turns into 'Official Ghost', it is an ominous sign, but when 'Official Ghost' turns into 'Wealth', it is certainly a favorable deity. If 'Wealth' falls into 'Empty Wasteland', wealth cannot be captured; if it is further accompanied by twoInauspicious Sha, and thieves come to invade, it is difficult to obtain wealth. The original commentary says: the twoInauspicious Sha refer to '劫杀' and 'Heavenly Thief'. Difficult situations arise when the 'Wealth' in the outer trigram is activated, while easy situations occur when 'Wealth' is activated in the inner trigram. If the 'World Line' goes on to overcome 'Wealth', there is no need to ask for it; if 'Wealth' comes to overcome the 'World Line', one can gain a thousand coins. If all the lines lack the image of 'Wealth', but 'Children' are activated and 'Azure Dragon' is in motion, it is still possible to seek wealth. When 'World Line' and 'Response Line' are in harmony, it is most auspicious. If 'Children' meet with harmony, it is considered 'Fortune Virtue'. If further assisted by 'Monthly Virtue' and 'Month Builder', the amount of wealth obtained will be multiplied, and eventually it can be obtained.

內為人兮外地頭，人克地頭有淹留，地頭克人兼旺相，若遇求財數倍收。日辰克身貨出手，財克地頭賊相守。青龍發動最為佳，陰陽得位財須有。外爻無氣應克身，若值空亡憂病生。土爻持世如何離，陰爻持世主陰人。土爻持世，主有阻隔，陰爻持世，主為女人淹滯也。

The inner trigram represents the person himself, while the outer trigram represents the place he is going to. If the person's line overcomes the line of the destination, he will be delayed and unable to return. However, if the line of the destination overcomes the person's line and is prosperous and strong, then seeking wealth will bring many times the profit. If the day branch overcomes the person's line, goods will be sold easily. If the wealth line overcomes the line of the destination, there will be thieves waiting nearby. The Azure Dragon moving is the best situation, with yin and yang in proper positions, ensuring wealth will certainly come. If the outer lines are without vitality and the response line overcomes the person's line, and if it also falls into the void, there will be worry about illness. If the earth line holds the world line, the person will not be able to move. If a yin line holds the world line, it indicates being held back by a woman. The original commentary says: if the earth line holds the world line, there will be obstacles; if a yin line holds the world line, it indicates being delayed by a woman.

凡人占卦問求財，父動艱難鬼動災，子旺財明須得利，兄興遲滯是非來。添人進口要財明，子旺財興便可成。父發兄搖難永遠，鬼爻發動禍相親。凡占買賣與交易，子動財明為大吉。兄鬼爻搖合不成，父興費盡千鈞力。

When a person divines about seeking wealth, if the 'Parents' line moves, it indicates difficulty; if the 'Official Ghost' line moves, there will be calamity. If the 'Children' line is prosperous and strong, and the 'Wealth' line is clear and prominent, profit is certain. If the 'Siblings' line rises, there will be delays and disputes. The appended verse on adding people says: to add members to the household, the 'Wealth' line must be clear and prominent, and the 'Children' line must be strong while the 'Wealth' line rises, then the matter will succeed. If the 'Parents' line moves and the 'Siblings' line stirs, the newly added people will not last long. If the 'Official Ghost' line moves, misfortune will come. The appended verse on trade says: when divining about buying and selling, if the 'Children' line moves and the 'Wealth' line is clear, it is very auspicious. If both the 'Siblings' and 'Official Ghost' lines move, the transaction will not succeed. If the 'Parents' line rises, much effort will be required.
