凡卜出行先看身，身爻發動是行人。子孫外動克身世，決定前途獲寶珍。出去當頭憂白虎，歸來足下忌勾陳。內克外兮世克應，臨行有阻去無因。外克內兮應克世，打迭行裝在即辰。身宮見鬼因官去，若不因官定有迍。父母克身父母留，兄弟克身兄弟憂。青龍子孫克身位，一路無虞到地頭。

When divining about travel, first look at the 'Body Line'. The 'Body Line' that is activated represents the person who is going out. If the 'Children' line is activated in the outer trigram and it overcomes the 'Body Line' and 'World Line', it indicates that the journey will result in obtaining treasures. When leaving, the most feared situation is the 'White Tiger' at the top line. When returning, the most to be avoided is the 'Gou Chen' at the first line. If the inner trigram overcomes the outer trigram and the 'World Line' overcomes the 'Response Line', there will be obstacles on the way and the journey cannot proceed. If the outer trigram overcomes the inner trigram and the 'Response Line' overcomes the 'World Line', then it is time to prepare and depart immediately. If the 'Body Line' is in a position where the 'Official Ghost' is present, it indicates travel due to official business. If it is not for official business, there will certainly be difficulties. If the 'Parents' line overcomes the 'Body Line', it means being detained by parents. If the 'Siblings' line overcomes the 'Body Line', it means concern from siblings. If the 'Azure Dragon' and 'Children' lines overcome the position of the 'Body Line', the journey will be safe and trouble-free all the way to the destination.

乾宮旺相乘肥馬，坎卦克身乘巨舟。震卦克身身便動，坤卦克身徒步遊。艮卦克身行必止，巽卦克身去又休。白虎克身行有厄，青龍克身為大吉。朱雀克身文字摧，玄武克身必遭賊。若見勾陳來克身，事緒勾留行未得。出行謁貴及尋人，兄鬼交重不可親。子旺財興須吉利，父興既去又回程。關津把隘苦難過，且看其中鬼若何，父鬼兄搖休進步，子孫發動莫蹉跎。

If 'children' are strong and 'wealth' is active, it is definitely auspicious. If the 'parents' line is active, then one will have to turn back. The appendix 'Song of the Passes' says: the most difficult to pass through are the checkpoints and narrow passages; look at the 'official ghost' line within them. If 'parents,' 'official ghost,' and 'siblings' lines are all active, one should not proceed. If 'children' line is active, one need not hesitate or delay.

欲卜行人何日回，父克子孫為定期。初爻發動足下動，二爻身動定無疑。三四發動臨門戶，五爻在路較遲遲。上爻心動身猶住，安靜行人定未歸。雖動動臨玄武方，中途定有小人傷。交重白虎多驚恐，發動青龍大吉昌。朱雀爻交先有信，子孫發動喜非常。鬼兄併發多應病，官化為官更不祥。子落空亡身入墓，行人準定不歸鄉。

To determine the day when a person going out will return, look for the time when the "Parents" line overcomes the "Children" line. If the first line moves, it indicates the person has already started traveling. If the second line moves, it means the person is definitely on the move. If the third or fourth lines move, the person is near the door. If the fifth line moves, the person is still on the way and will return later. If the top line moves, it means the person is just thinking about leaving but has not yet departed. If all six lines are still, the person has not returned yet. Even if lines move, if they are in the "Black Tortoise" position, there will be harm from small people along the way. If "White Tiger" lines overlap and move, there will be fear and alarm. If "Azure Dragon" moves, it is very auspicious. If "Vermilion Bird" moves, there will be news coming first. If "Children" line moves, it is a great joy. If "Official Ghost" and "Siblings" lines move together, it mostly relates to illness. If "Official Ghost" changes into another "Official Ghost," it is even more inauspicious. If "Children" line falls into "Empty Wasteland" and the "Body Line" enters the tomb, the traveler is certain to not return home.

子來占父幾時回？父鬼興隆一定來。兄弟搖搖多阻節，父興子動定無歸。子回財動定遲留，父發無歸更可憂。若是子興兄弟動，雙親頓解倚門愁。手足情深久別離，兄興父動是歸期，鬼搖財動無回日，子若興隆定是遲。

A son divining when his father will return: if the "Parents" and "Official Ghost" lines are strong, the father will certainly return; if the "Siblings" line is active and unstable, there will be many obstacles on the way; if the "Parents" line is strong and the "Children" line is active, then the father will certainly not return. A father divining about his son's return: if the "Wealth" line is active, the son will stay late; if the "Parents" line is active, there will be no definite return date, which is even more worrying; if the "Children" line is strong and the "Siblings" line is active, the parents' sorrow of waiting at the gate will be resolved soon. Divining about a brother who has been away for a long time: if the "Siblings" line is strong and the "Parents" line is active, there will be a return; if the "Official Ghost" line is active and the "Wealth" line is active, there will be no day of return; if the "Children" line is strong, the return will certainly be delayed.

妻擲金錢問槁砧，鬼財內發即回程，子興兄動他鄉客，父發歸遲卻有音。主因奴婢特來求，子助財興即轉頭，父發兄搖歸未得，鬼搖阻滯更淹留。凡占家人子墓期，他人來者合為時。震宮子爻言在戊，六合他人言未知。欲知行人何日到？月卦合神年月告。假令丙子水為身，辛丑之辰以時道。若占家親，以子長生有消息。子墓日方到。他人則取六跌蹼殺，正月從酉上合為推起，逆行十二位是也。

When divining about family members, the return date is determined by the day the 'Children' line enters the tomb. When divining about outsiders coming, the return date is determined by the time of harmony. For the 'Children' line in the Zhen trigram, the expected date should be calculated based on the Wu position. If the hexagram meets the Six Harmony condition and the subject is an outsider, the return date is uncertain. To know when the traveler will arrive, look at the monthly trigram and the harmonious deity in relation to the year and month. For example, if the Bingzi (Bing Zi) nayin sound element is taken as the 'body' (self), then use the Xinchou (Xin Chou) hour to calculate. The original note says: if divining about a family member, there will be news starting from the day the 'Children' line begins to grow, and the arrival will be on the day the 'Children' line enters the tomb. If divining about an outsider, use the 'Six Falling Killing' method. In the first month, start from You and move backward through twelve positions to determine the harmonious position.

凡占行人在何處，子變應爻父母擬。變作本宮兄弟邊，若變財爻賤人處。子爻若是本宮子，行人出家寺觀止。行人子孫處鬼爻，必是官僚人吏矣。歸忌煞：正月丑、二月寅、三月巳，只此三位，周而復始。凡行人若世在震宮，及三四爻動，可立候而至。

When divining the current location of a person who has left, if the 'Children' line changes to the 'Response Line', the person is with parents or elders; if it changes to the native 'Siblings', the person is among brothers and friends; if it changes to the 'Wealth' line, the person is with servants. If the 'Children' line is exactly the native 'Children' line, the person is living in a monastery or temple. If the 'Children' line falls in the position of the 'Official Ghost', the person is definitely with officials. The original note explains the method of 'Return Taboo': in the first month it is in the position of the Ox, in the second month in the position of the Rat, in the third month in the position of the Snake, using only these three positions, which cycle repeatedly. For any person, if the 'World Line' is in the Zhen Palace, or if the third or fourth lines are activated, one can stand and wait for the person to arrive.

約定人來何不來，只因兄鬼發如雷。財興子旺須臾到，父動中間書信回。內外之間辨信音，內爻旺相望盈盈。外爻發動相空內，一紙家書抵萬金。若占音信看應父，應父合處是歸期。外陰內陽書即到，外陽內陰書未回。父母生克應爻動，須臾路上信如飛。旺相不入墓爻活，囚死空亡隨水沫。又看上下卦如何，旺相相生行潑潑。卦爻不化入墓中，皆為平善得安隆。反之必死不須望，但去招魂作殯宮。

Three attached letters predict the arrival of a message. The first says: Why hasn't the person arrived as agreed? It's because the "Siblings" and "Official Ghost" lines are active like thunder. The "Wealth" line is flourishing and the "Children" line is strong, so the person will arrive soon; if the "Parents" line is active, there will be a letter in the middle. The second says: To determine the message, look at the inner and outer trigrams. If the inner lines are prosperous and strong, it shows the family is very anxious. If the outer lines are active and the inner trigram is empty, one letter is worth more than ten thousand gold coins. The third says: To predict the message, look at the "Response Line" and the "Parents" line. Where they agree is the time of arrival. If the outer trigram is yin and the inner trigram is yang, the message will arrive soon. If the outer trigram is yang and the inner trigram is yin, the message has not yet arrived. If the "Parents" line and the "Response Line" have mutual generation and mutual restriction and are active, the message will be on the way in a moment. An attached question about whether the person is well says: If the lines are prosperous and strong but not in the grave, the person is alive. If they are trapped, dead, without energy, and fall into "Empty Wasteland," the person is like floating foam. Then look at the upper and lower trigrams: If they are prosperous and generate each other, the person is active and strong. If the trigrams and lines do not change and fall into the grave, it is safe and stable. If it is the opposite, death is certain, no need to wait, just go ahead and perform mourning rituals.

凡占六畜畜為身，假使占牛丑是真。喜見子孫並父母，怕逢劫殺及亡神。卦內若無所肖者，卻將八卦象來輪。乾馬坤牛艮狗當，巽雞離雉兌為羊。震龍艮馬一般斷，坎豕離鳥細審祥。巽兌白兮離又赤，乾玄震翠艮坤黃。更有旁通推本位，次推所屬身宮義。本身旺相保無虞，若值死囚災立至。

When divining about domestic animals, the hexagram should be based on the animal itself. For example, when divining about a cow, the 'Chou' hexagram line is the main one used. Divination about animals prefers to see 'Children' and 'Parents' and fears encountering '劫杀' and '亡神'. If the hexagram does not contain the zodiac sign corresponding to the animal being divined, then the Eight Trigrams should be used to determine it: Qian represents horse, Kun represents cow, Gen represents dog, Xun represents chicken, Li represents pheasant, Dui represents sheep; Zhen can also represent dragon, and Gen can also represent horse, Kan represents pig, Li also represents bird, and these should be carefully discerned. Then look at the color of the animal's fur: Xun and Dui represent white, Li represents red, Qian represents black, Zhen represents green, and Gen and Kun represent yellow. There is also a method of mutual explanation. First determine the meaning of the original position, then determine the meaning of the 'body line' position. If the line representing the animal is prosperous and strong, there will be no worries; if it is in a state of death or imprisonment, disaster will come immediately.

本身發動子孫持，正是生財長育時。更得青龍相助吉，殺神相併慮傾危。本肖空亡分外愁，交重白虎血財憂。午爻帶殺當憂馬，未慮羊兒丑慮牛。更須推究本宮卦，坤旺牛兮乾旺馬。遇子加龍旺主人，玄武同宮防盜者。死絕休囚本位持，牛不耕兮馬不騎。更遇殺來應病死，十占八九定無疑。

When the hexagram line representing the livestock is activated and is supported by the "Children" line, it indicates a time of reproduction and prosperity, which is favorable for breeding and growth. If the "Azure Dragon" also supports it, the situation is even more auspicious. However, ifInauspicious Sha (malevolent influences) are present, there may be worries about collapse or disaster. If the hexagram line corresponding to the livestock's zodiac sign falls into "Kongwang" (void), there is extra cause for concern. If the "White Tiger" is heavily involved, there may be worries about bloodshed and loss of livestock. If the "Wu" line (representing the horse) is accompanied by凶杀, there is concern for horses; if the "Wei" line (representing the sheep) is involved, there is concern for sheep; if the "Chou" line (representing the ox) is involved, there is concern for oxen. It is also necessary to examine the hexagram of the native's own palace: if the "Kun" hexagram is strong, then oxen are favorable; if the "Qian" hexagram is strong, then horses are favorable. If the "Zi" line (representing the rat) is accompanied by the "Azure Dragon," the owner will be prosperous. If the "Xuanwu" (Black Tortoise) is in the same palace, there should be vigilance against thieves. If the hexagram line representing the livestock is in a state of death, decline, or weakness, then oxen cannot plow, horses cannot be ridden; if further afflicted by malevolent influences, the outcome will be illness or death, and out of ten predictions, eight or nine will be accurate.

青龍旺相生財厚，六爻安靜無殃咎。若逢羊刃及三刑，決定遭他屠子手。財值青龍化子孫，豬羊雞鴨密如林。牛強馬壯無他事，外旺乾剛內旺坤。父母重重化父母，一畜經年三換主。大殺來傷本肖爻，今朝換主明朝死。困頤噬磕及明夷，鬼殺交重定剝皮。縱得青龍來救助，雖無殘害也尫羸。

The Azure Dragon is prosperous and strong, indicating abundant breeding and profit from livestock. All six lines are quiet, with no calamities or misfortunes. If the Sheep's Blade and the Three Punishments appear, the livestock will certainly end up in the hands of the butcher. The Wealth line is occupied by the Azure Dragon and transforms into the Children line, indicating a large number of pigs, sheep, chickens, and ducks, as dense as a forest. Oxen are strong and horses are vigorous, with no other matters, which reflects the image of the Outer Trigram Qian (Heaven) being strong and the Inner Trigram Kun (Earth) being prosperous. If the Parents line appears repeatedly and transforms into the Parents line, a single animal will change hands three times within a year. The Great Killing star harms the line representing the livestock, meaning that today it changes hands and tomorrow it dies. If the hexagram is The困 (Obstruction), The颐 (Nourishment), The噬嗑 (Breaking the Bones), or The明夷 (Bright夷), with the Official Ghost andInauspicious Sha (evil killing) overlapping and interacting, the livestock will certainly be skinned. Even if the Azure Dragon comes to rescue, it will not be slaughtered, but will certainly become weak and emaciated.

凡人占卦問六畜，有財有子皆為福。父爻旺動不能全，兄鬼交重多不足。但占牛馬泰成殃，坤腹乾頭是倒裝。占牛馬遇泰卦，定主空亡。若值坤乾二卦，所畜牛馬倒裝，無用之物。大抵遇泰卦則是。夬是力強寧畏熱，若值夬卦，牛馬縱遇熱暑，亦主壯健。若逢益卦怕刀傷。若卜得益卦，牛馬必被刀斧傷。離為虛市遭屠殺，若離卦，主虛市，屠家宰殺也。坎卦重爻入鑊湯。若值坎卦重爻，主有湯火之厄。

When people divinate about livestock, if the "Wealth" and "Children" lines are present, it is a blessing. However, if the "Parents" line is prosperous and strong and becomes active, the livestock will not be safe. If the "Siblings" and "Official Ghost" lines overlap and become active, there will be many shortcomings. Another verse says: when divining specifically about cattle and horses, if the "Prosperous" hexagram is obtained, it will bring disaster, because the Earth is above representing the abdomen and Heaven is below representing the head, forming an inverted image of head below and abdomen above. The original commentary says: when divining about cattle and horses and encountering the "Prosperous" hexagram, it certainly indicates failure. If the "Earth" and "Heaven" hexagrams are obtained, the cattle and horses will have their heads and tails inverted, making them useless, and this is generally the case when encountering the "Prosperous" hexagram. If the "Decisive" hexagram is obtained, the livestock will be strong and healthy, and will not fear the heat. The original commentary says: if the "Decisive" hexagram is obtained, cattle and horses will remain strong even if they encounter scorching heat. If the "Benefit" hexagram is obtained, there is fear of being cut by a knife. The original commentary says: if the "Benefit" hexagram is obtained, cattle and horses will certainly be injured by axes and knives. If the "Fire" hexagram is obtained, it indicates entering an empty market and being slaughtered. The original commentary says: if the "Fire" hexagram is obtained, it indicates an empty market and being slaughtered by butchers. If the "Water" hexagram is obtained and the line is repeated, the livestock will be put into a pot of boiling water. The original commentary says: if the "Water" hexagram is obtained and the line is repeated, it indicates danger from boiling water and fire.

噬磕頤需咸入鼎，若值此五卦，亦主遭烹宰。怕逢坤艮被分張。怕坤艮二卦，主牛馬各散。如地山謙卦是也。更以刀砧分上下，若無諸殺始為昌。乾兌屬金為刀，震巽屬木為砧。刀在砧上則死，刀在砧下則生。若值大過無妄之類則死，大壯中孚之類則生。買牛買馬隻求財，大怕兄興鬼發災。若是父搖空費力，子孫發動卻佳哉。

One receives the five hexagrams of "噬嗑," "颐," "需," "咸," and "鼎," which indicate being slaughtered. The original commentary says: if these five hexagrams appear, it also indicates being subjected to cooking and slaughter. The most feared are the hexagrams of "坤" and "艮," which signify the livestock being separated and sold individually. The original commentary says: fearing the hexagrams of "坤" and "艮" indicates cattle and horses being scattered apart, for example, the hexagram "地山谦" is one such case. Furthermore, one should also consider the distinction between the knife and the chopping block. If there are no variousInauspicious Sha (violent deaths), it is auspicious. The original commentary says: "乾" and "兑" belong to metal, which is the knife; "震" and "巽" belong to wood, which is the chopping block. If the knife is on top of the chopping block, it indicates death; if the knife is below the chopping block, it indicates life. For example, hexagrams like "大过" and "无妄" have the knife on top, indicating death; hexagrams like "大壮" and "中孚" have the knife below, indicating life. The last verse says: buying cattle and horses is for seeking wealth, but one should fear the "兄弟" line being active and the "官鬼" line being activated, which brings disaster. If the "父母" line is activated, it is a waste of effort; if the "子孙" line is activated, it is favorable.

應為蠶子世為人，世應相生福德臻。財是蠶宮身是主，身財和合獲珠珍。主若生蠶我遂意，蠶兒受克枉勞辛。六爻安靜為平穩，一位交重驗六親。有子有財全吉兆，見凶見鬼大凶徵。交重父母平平斷，旺相休囚逐位輪。財爻若也持身世，管取絲綿千萬斤。更得青龍同位助，獲財百倍大光榮。

Divining about silkworms, the 'Response Line' represents the silkworm eggs, and the 'World Line' represents the person raising the silkworms. If the World and Response Lines mutually generate each other, fortune and virtue will come together. The 'Wealth' line is the native palace of the silkworm, and the 'Body Line' is the owner of the silkworm. If the Body Line harmonizes with the Wealth Line, one can obtain treasures like silk. If the owner's line generates the silkworm's line, everything will go according to one's wishes; if the silkworm's line is overcome, one will work hard in vain. If all six lines are still, the harvest will be steady. If any one line moves, one should check the six relations to see where the influence falls. The presence of 'Children' and 'Wealth' lines is a complete good omen, while encounteringInauspicious Sha and 'Official Ghost' lines is a great misfortune. If the 'Parents' line is heavily moving, the outcome is only average. As for prosperity, strength, weakness, and confinement, one should examine each line in order. If the 'Wealth' line holds the 'Body Line' and 'World Line', one can certainly harvest millions of silk threads. If further aided by the 'Azure Dragon' in the same position, the profit will be a hundredfold, bringing great honor.

本宮見子為生氣，財世逢官是耗神。鬼財初爻苗不出，二爻蠶子有災迍。三四鬼爻無桑葉，最上官興繭不成。金爻是鬼二眠亡，木鬼三眠定受殃。水鬼定是遭風雨，土鬼多應病腫黃。鬼落空亡翻作吉，鬼爻休廢反為良。鬼化子孫財帛厚，鬼化妻財大吉昌。鬼化弟兄收一半，鬼化父母晚絲強。

In this hexagram, the presence of the 'Children' line indicates the location of life qi. The 'Wealth' line and the 'World Line' encountering the 'Official Ghost' line signify the spirit of depletion. If the 'Official Ghost' and 'Wealth' lines fall on the first line, mulberry sprouts will not grow; if they fall on the second line, silkworm eggs will suffer disaster. If the 'Official Ghost' is on the third or fourth lines, there will be no mulberry leaves to harvest; if it is on the top line, the silkworms will not form cocoons. The 'Official Ghost' belonging to metal causes death of the silkworms during the second molt; if it belongs to wood, the silkworms will certainly suffer disaster during the third molt. If it belongs to water, they will certainly face storms and rain; if it belongs to earth, it is mostly related to silkworm disease causing yellowing and swelling. If the 'Official Ghost' falls on the 'Empty' line, it is actually auspicious. If the 'Official Ghost' line is weak and confined, it is actually favorable. If the 'Official Ghost' transforms into the 'Children' line, wealth will be abundant; if it transforms into the 'Wealth' line, it is extremely auspicious; if it transforms into the 'Siblings' line, only half the yield will be obtained; if it transforms into the 'Parents' line, the silk from late silkworms will be better.

青龍發動絲綿廣，白虎交重蠶白殭。玄武克蠶憂水厄，勾陳帶殺為蟲傷。水財到底無多利，金土為財些小償。木財旺相財無數，火旺財爻更倍昌。天喜青龍財子合，生身生世獲嘉祥。凡人占卦問蠶桑，子旺財明甚是強。兄鬼交重防損壞，父搖一半落空亡。大率占蠶，須要巳午上卦為吉，發動乃大吉。艮離吉，坎兌凶。

The 'Azure Dragon' moves, indicating a large supply of silk; the 'White Tiger' overlapping and moving together suggests that silkworms will turn white and die. The 'Black Tortoise' harms the silkworms, indicating worry about water-related disasters; the 'Gou Chen' accompanied byInauspicious Sha (fierce killing) indicates pest damage to the silkworms. The 'Wealth' belongs to water, which is ultimately not very beneficial; if it belongs to metal or earth, there is only a small compensation; if it belongs to wood and is prosperous and strong, the wealth will be abundant beyond measure; if it belongs to fire and is prosperous, the harvest will be even more doubled. The 'Heavenly Joy' and 'Azure Dragon' combine with the 'Wealth' and 'Children' and support the 'Body Line' and 'World Line', ensuring a favorable and auspicious outcome. The second verse says: when people inquire about mulberry silk, if the 'Children' are strong and the 'Wealth' is clear, it is most favorable; if the 'Siblings' and 'Official Ghost' overlap and move together, there is a risk of damage to the silkworms; if the 'Parents' line moves, half of the harvest will be lost. 船車原以父為尊，父動船車不久存。兄鬼動搖防盜賊，子孫出現免災迍。

When divining about ships and vehicles, the 'Parents' line is usually the main focus. If the 'Parents' line moves, it indicates that the ship or vehicle will not last long. If the 'Siblings' and 'Official Ghost' lines are active, one should be cautious of theft and robbery. If the 'Children' line appears in the hexagram, it can avert disaster and misfortune. This section consists of only one verse and is the shortest in the chapter of 'Chuan Ao Ge Zhang'.

疾病先將身命看，逢龍見子放心寬。妻財入命多沉重，官鬼臨身更不堪。身犯勾陳凶有準，命加玄武瘥應難。螣蛇白虎憂喪事，身命空亡定入棺。金鬼值身傷骨節，身臨水鬼血濃攢。貼身火鬼瘡痍惱，木鬼身宮百骨酸。

Divination for illness begins with examining the 'body爻' and 'life爻'. If 'Azure Dragon' appears and 'children' is present, one can be reassured. If 'wealth' enters the 'life爻', the illness is severe; if 'official ghost' is on the 'body爻', the condition is even worse. If the 'body爻' is afflicted by 'Gou Chen', danger is real and unavoidable; if the 'life爻' is combined with 'Black Tortoise', the illness is difficult to recover from. If 'Teng She' or 'White Tiger' is present, there will be sorrow and loss. If both the 'body' and 'life' yao fall into 'empty' positions, death is certain. Further analysis by the Five Phases: if the metal yao 'official ghost' is on the 'body爻', the injury affects the joints; if the water yao 'official ghost' is on the 'body爻', there is blood and pus accumulation; if the fire yao 'official ghost' is closely attached to the 'body爻', there is suffering from sores and ulcers; if the wood yao 'official ghost' is on the 'body' position, there is pain throughout the joints.

土鬼在身身腫脹，殺刑加命命摧殘。水為腰腎金為肺，火主心經木主肝。土爻脾胃休逢殺，發動交重仔細觀。虎鬼同興應哭泣，龍孫並旺保平安。乾為首兮坤為腹，巽為手兮震為足。兌為口兮艮為鼻，坎主耳兮離主目。

The earth element line 'Official Ghost' is on the 'body line,' indicating swelling in the body;Inauspicious Sha and punishment both affect the 'life line,' endangering life and health. Using the Five Phases to match internal organs: water corresponds to the waist and kidneys, metal to the lungs, fire to the heart, wood to the liver, and earth element to the spleen and stomach—earth element should not meet withInauspicious Sha. Whenever a line moves or overlaps, it should be carefully examined. If 'White Tiger' and 'Official Ghost' both arise together, it indicates crying and death; if 'Azure Dragon' and 'Children' are both prosperous and strong, safety can be ensured. Using the Eight Trigrams to match body parts:乾 represents the head,坤 the abdomen,巽 the hands,震 the feet,兑 the mouth,艮 the nose,坎 the ears, and离 the eyes.

一宮殺旺一般災，子動龍興保平復。豐兼蠱困及明夷，夬與同人一例推。冬旅春需都困重，夏觀秋剝並傾危。六爻安靜尤難瘥，殺鬼交重便莫醫。財旺身空身必喪，官生命死命應衰。兩重官鬼因勞復，鬼化為兄病不宜。鬼化為財凶有準。鬼爻化子瘥無疑。

If theInauspicious Sha is prosperous and strong in a particular palace, there will be corresponding illness in that part of the body; when theChildren is activated and the Azure Dragon rises, the illness can be cured. The hexagrams《丰》,《蛊》,《困》,《明夷》, as well as《夬》and《同人》, should all be interpreted in the same way. In winter, if《旅》appears, or in spring, if《需》appears, the illness is severe. In summer, if《观》appears, or in autumn, if《剥》appears, there is danger of collapse. If all six lines are quiet, the illness is especially difficult to recover from. If theInauspicious Sha andOfficial Ghost overlap and interact, there is no need for further treatment. IfWealth is strong but the body line is empty, the body will surely be lost. IfOfficial Ghost is strengthened but the life line is in a dead position, life will be exhausted. If there are twoOfficial Ghost in the hexagram, it indicates a relapse after illness. IfOfficial Ghost turns intoSiblings, the condition is unfavorable. IfOfficial Ghost turns intoWealth, the danger is real. If theOfficial Ghost line turns intoChildren, the illness will certainly be cured.

凡若有人占疾病，先從卦中尋本命。仍看來者是何人，克者是何加世應。福德持世鬼暫退，官旺之日又加進。卦中無鬼病難醫，鬼旺財興難保命。鬼殺臨身五墓侵，鬼神不應藥無靈。一為五臟二皮肉，三為體骨腰並足。四肺心經五六頭，游魂恍惚如神觸。惟有歸魂漸向安，吉凶細細為君囑。

When someone comes to seek divination about illness, first find the person's birth line in the hexagram, then determine who is asking the question and which line is affecting through a clash or overlay on the 'World Line' and 'Response Line'. The 'Children' line, which represents fortune and virtue, holds the 'World Line', while the 'Official Ghost' line temporarily recedes. However, when the 'Official Ghost' becomes prosperous and strong, the illness worsens. If the hexagram lacks the 'Official Ghost' line, the illness is difficult to treat. When the 'Official Ghost' is strong and the 'Wealth' line is active, the life is in danger. If the 'Official Ghost' and凶杀 (malevolent forces) are on the 'Body Line' and are attacked by the Five Phases' storage points, then prayers to deities will not be effective and medicine will not work. Each of the six lines represents a different part of the body: the first line represents the five internal organs, the second line represents the skin and flesh, the third line represents the body and bones along with the waist and feet, the fourth line represents the lungs and heart meridians, and the fifth and sixth lines represent the head. If the hexagram is a wandering soul hexagram, the patient will be confused and disoriented, as if being attacked by ghosts or spirits. Only when the hexagram is a returning soul hexagram will the patient gradually recover. These good and bad omens should be explained in detail to you.

占病先須問六親，吉凶須要討分明。父母空亡防父母，財爻無氣損妻身。子孫化鬼須遭死，兄弟殺臨定不貞。明夷蠱夬剝豐同，六卦哪堪占病凶。財鬼二爻俱發動，喪門弔客鬧叢叢。豐觀需節旅賁臨，明夷蠱夬及同人。占病若還逢此卦，歸家急急辦前程。

When divining about illness, it is first necessary to determine which relative is being referred to, so that the fortune can be clearly analyzed: if the 'Parents' line falls into 'Kongwang' (void), there may be troubles with the parents; if the 'Wealth' line lacks strength, the damage will affect the wife; if the 'Children' line transforms into the 'Official Ghost' line, the child may suffer death; if the 'Siblings' line is afflicted by aInauspicious Sha (malevolent killing), there will certainly be unrest. Another verse says: the six hexagrams 《Mingyi》, 《Gu》, 《Guai》, 《Bo》, 《Feng》, and 《Tongren》 are all ominous when encountered in divination about illness; if both the 'Wealth' and 'Official Ghost' lines are activated, and the 'Sangmen' (Funeral Gate) and 'Diaoke' (Funeral Guest) appear, there will be disturbances. Another verse says: the hexagrams 《Feng》, 《Guan》, 《Xu》, 《Jie》, 《Lv》, and 《Ben》, along with 《Mingyi》, 《Gu》, 《Guai》, and 《Tongren》, are all ominous when encountered in divination about illness; if these hexagrams appear, one should hurry home to arrange for the final affairs.

子占親病幾時痊，子要興隆父要安。兄動纏綿難脫體，子興財發入黃泉。子病親來問卦靈，兄興子動死還生。鬼搖父動終難保，財動纏綿病轉增。夫問其妻疾病煎，財明子動便安然。鬼爻發動還沉重，父發兄搖定斷絃。

A son asking about his parents' recovery from illness: the "Children" line should be strong and the "Parents" line should be calm; if the "Siblings" line becomes active, the illness will persist and be difficult to recover from; if the "Children" line is strong and the "Wealth" line becomes active, the parents will soon pass away. If the parents are asking about the son's illness: if the "Siblings" line is strong and the "Children" line becomes active, even death can be transformed into rebirth; if the "Official Ghost" line becomes active and the "Parents" line is active, it is difficult to ensure survival; if the "Wealth" line becomes active, the illness will be prolonged and worsen. If a husband is asking about his wife's suffering from illness: if the "Wealth" line is clear and the "Children" line becomes active, she will be safe; if the "Official Ghost" line becomes active, the illness will be more severe; if the "Parents" line becomes active and the "Siblings" line is active, it will definitely result in separation and loss of spouse.

妻占夫病未安寧，鬼靜財興可放心。兄子交重恩義絕，父搖難愈病沉沉。兄弟來占疾病纏，父興兄靜自安全。鬼搖財動黃泉客，子動留連數日眠。奴婢淹延疾病纏，鬼搖疾病更連綿。財安子發無他事，父動兄興不得痊。

When a wife divines about her husband's illness, if the 'Official Ghost' is quiet and the 'Wealth' is prosperous, she can be reassured; if the 'Siblings' and 'Children' overlap and are active, the marital affection is cut off. If the 'Parents' line is moving, the illness is severe and difficult to recover from. When a sibling divines about a family member's illness, if the 'Parents' line is active and the 'Siblings' line is still, it is naturally safe; if the 'Official Ghost' line is moving and the 'Wealth' line is active, the person will die. If the 'Children' line is active, it means the illness will only last a few days in bed. For a servant's illness that is prolonged, if the 'Official Ghost' line is moving, the illness will continue without end; if the 'Wealth' line is quiet and the 'Children' line is active, there is no other matter; if the 'Parents' line is moving and the 'Siblings' line is active, the illness will not recover.

子孫出現是醫人，生世生身藥必靈。兩個子孫齊發動，換醫困厄即時平。子囚醫拙無功效，子旺醫明有準繩。無子病人難服藥，子空患者便歸程。子孫值土宜丸散，值火須當艾火蒸。遇木咬咀方應病，逢金針刺保亨貞。子孫值水宜湯藥，天喜扶持妙莫評。青龍獨發最為良，持世生身便離床。

When divining about medicine, the 'Children' line in the hexagram represents the doctor. If the 'Children' line generates the 'World Line' and supports the 'Body Line', the medicine will definitely work. If two 'Children' lines are both active, it is advisable to change the doctor, and the difficulties will be immediately resolved. If the 'Children' line is in a state of captivity, the doctor will be ineffective. If the 'Children' line is prosperous and strong, the doctor will be skilled and have clear guidelines. If there is no 'Children' line in the hexagram, the patient will find it hard to take medicine. If the 'Children' line falls into an empty position, the patient will soon reach the end of their journey. Further, according to the Five Phases, if the 'Children' line belongs to earth, it is suitable to use pills or powders. If it belongs to fire, moxibustion is appropriate. If it belongs to wood, it is best to use decoctions. If it belongs to metal, acupuncture is suitable for safety. If it belongs to water, decocting the medicine is appropriate. If there is also 'Heavenly Joy' supporting, its effectiveness is beyond description. If 'Azure Dragon' alone is active, it is best, as it holds the 'World Line' and supports the 'Body Line', allowing the patient to get up from the bed.

那更子孫同位發，不須服藥保安康。鬼財安貼無憂慮，身世比和大吉祥。欲問病人何日瘥？鬼衰身旺世生方。夫病欲醫須卦靜，爻須旺相子扶身。應爻及外為醫者，內卦身爻是病人。醫來克病人方愈，病若克醫藥不靈。鬼爻持世人難保，吉曜加臨大利貞。

If the "Children" line also moves in the same position, there is no need to take medicine and the person will remain healthy. If both the "Official Ghost" and "Wealth" lines are stable and unmoving, there will be no worries. If the "Body Line" and "World Line" are harmonious, it is very auspicious. To ask about the day the patient will recover, look for the time when the "Official Ghost" is weak, the "Body Line" is strong and prosperous, and the "World Line" receives support. The second verse says: illness must be treated when the lines of the hexagram are quiet, the lines are strong and prosperous, and the "Children" line supports the "Body Line." The "Response Line" and the outer trigram represent the doctor, while the inner trigram and the "Body Line" represent the patient. The doctor's line must overcome the patient's line for the illness to be cured; if the patient's line overcomes the doctor's line, the medicine will not work. If the "Official Ghost" line holds the "World Line," the person is in danger; but if a favorable deity joins, it is greatly beneficial.

公訟先推身殺鬼，身克殺爻應有理。劫殺克身理不明，身旺殺空憂散矣。告人切要殺扶身，被訴卻憂刑剋世。身旺殺空訴者輸，身衰殺旺身遭捶。殺身俱旺事遷延，身殺俱空公事止。劫殺臨官官事興，財加劫殺因財起。三刑持世莫興詞，六害臨身休後悔。父母勾陳與劫並，決定爭差田屋契。

When involved in a lawsuit, first examine the "World Line", "凶杀" (evil killer), and "官鬼" (official ghost). If the "World Line" overcomes the "凶杀", it indicates that the person has a good case. If "劫杀" (robber killer) overcomes the "World Line", it suggests the case is unclear or unjust. If the "World Line" is strong and the "凶杀" is empty, worries will dissipate. If you are the one suing, the "凶杀" should support the "World Line". If you are being sued, fear that the "World Line" is harmed by the "凶杀". If the "World Line" is strong and the "凶杀" is empty, the person suing will lose. If the "World Line" is weak and the "凶杀" is strong, the person will be beaten. If both the "凶杀" and the "World Line" are strong, the case will be delayed. If both are empty, the matter will stop. If "劫杀" is with "官鬼", official matters will arise. If "妻财" (wealth) is with "劫杀", the dispute is about money. If "三刑" (three punishments) is with the "World Line", do not start a lawsuit. If "六害" (six harms) is with the "World Line", do not regret if a fight occurs. If "父母" (parents), "勾陈" (Gou Chen), and "劫杀" are all present, it is definitely about a dispute over land, houses, or documents.

外來克內被渠傷，內克外因渠不是。弟兄化鬼卒難休，鬼化弟兄多闇昧。玄武臨官防小人，螣蛇犯鬼多淹滯。青龍入鬼遇貴人，白虎臨官受刑制。鬼共勾陳牢獄災，鬼臨朱雀文書累。太歲克官赦解由，月建沖官官恕罪。日辰克鬼脫應難，鬼剋日辰尤不易。身世克刑日下和，相併相沖還又至。

If the outer trigram overcomes the inner trigram, it indicates being harmed by the other party; if the inner trigram overcomes the outer trigram, it suggests the other party is at fault. When "Siblings" turns into "Official Ghost," legal matters will be difficult to resolve quickly; when "Official Ghost" turns into "Siblings," there is likely some hidden or unclear aspect. If "Black Tortoise" is present with "Official Ghost," one should beware of small people; if "Tie Snake" invades "Official Ghost," the case may be delayed. If "Azure Dragon" enters "Official Ghost," one may meet a nobleman; if "White Tiger" is present with "Official Ghost," one may face punishment. When "Official Ghost" and "Gou Chen" are together, there may be imprisonment; when "Official Ghost" is with "Vermilion Bird," one may be burdened by documents. If the Tai Suai overcomes "Official Ghost," there may be a chance of pardon; if the Month Builder conflicts with "Official Ghost," the authorities may show leniency. If the Day Branch overcomes "Official Ghost," trying to escape may be difficult; if "Official Ghost" overcomes the Day Branch, it will be even harder. When both "Body Line" and "World Line" overcome and conflict with each other, although a resolution may be reached now, if they meet again or conflict again, the matter will resurface.

噬磕明夷被杖笞，屯蒙大壯遭囚繫。雖云渙解保無憂，也要世身爻有氣。天喜貴人要生身，大殺亡神莫持世。世應相生內外和，決定兩頭都沒事。劫殺官爻是禍根，空亡卻是相和義。妻財持世喜神扶，卻宜托個人調議。青龍子孫是解星，主世生身謝天地。世旺身生命合神，是日官司當脫離。更有常贏決勝方，訴人被訴都當記。訟心克己最為良，挫銳解紛為至貴。贏盡世間多少人，省財又不傷和氣。

If the hexagrams 《噬嗑》 and 《明夷》 appear, it indicates the possibility of being beaten. If the hexagrams 《屯》, 《蒙》, and 《大壮》 appear, it suggests the possibility of being imprisoned. Although it is said that the hexagrams 《涣》 and 《解》 can ensure safety, the "World Line" and "Body Line" must have vitality. The "Heavenly Joy" and "Nobleman" should support the "Body Line." The "Great Kill" and "Wang Shen" should not be in the "World Line." When the "World" and "Response" lines are in mutual generation and the inner and outer trigrams are harmonious, it indicates that both parties will be safe. The "Jie Sha" and "Official Ghost" lines are sources of trouble; if they fall into "Kong Wang," it signifies reconciliation. If the "Wealth" line holds the "World Line" and is supported by the "Joy God," it is appropriate to seek mediation through a third party. The "Azure Dragon" and "Children" are stars that resolve misfortune; if they generate the "World Line" and the "Body Line," one should express gratitude to heaven and earth. When the "World Line" is strong, the "Body Line" is supported, and the "Life Line" meets the "Heavenly Harmony," one will be released from legal troubles. Additionally, there is a constant winning method that both the plaintiff and defendant should remember: one should first restrain one's own thoughts in a lawsuit, reduce sharpness, and resolve disputes. This is highly valuable, and it can win over many people, saving money and preserving harmony.

禁繫憂官兩未萌，應為對主世為身。鬼旺墓鄉須下獄，官臨歲動達朝廷。鬼爻出現催公判，卦若傷財理不明。應爻坐鬼他遭責，世下藏官我不贏。卦值兩官因舊事，兄爻發動起同人。財多損子災難脫，輕者徒流重死刑。脫事遇官尋福德，父興財發事關身。動爻克世人來損，兄動虛憂假作真。

When both imprisonment and legal troubles have not yet occurred, one may consult the divination: the "Response Line" represents the other party, and the "World Line" represents oneself. If the "Official Ghost" is prosperous and strong and falls in the tomb, imprisonment is certain. If the "Official Ghost" is on the Tai Suai and activates, the case will be reported to the imperial court. If the "Official Ghost" appears in the hexagram, the government is pressing for a judgment. If the hexagram injures the "Wealth" line, the case will be difficult to resolve. If the "Official Ghost" sits on the "Response Line," the other party will be held responsible. If the "Official Ghost" is hidden beneath the "World Line," one will not be able to win. If two "Official Ghosts" appear in the hexagram, it indicates involvement in an old matter. If the "Siblings" line activates, it suggests that accomplices are instigating the matter. If there is an excess of "Wealth" lines that injure the "Children" line, misfortune is unavoidable. Light punishment may be imprisonment or exile, while severe punishment may be capital punishment. To escape, one should look for the "Children" line, which represents fortune and virtue. If the "Parents" line is active and the "Wealth" line is activated, the matter concerns oneself. If an activated line attacks the "World Line," someone is trying to harm. If the "Siblings" line activates, it may start as a false alarm but may turn into a real event.

日辰克鬼我身贏，鬼剋日辰他身旺。日辰生鬼事遲延，鬼生日辰事搖漾。日辰與鬼不相剋，此事終須有比和。日辰或與鬼沖並，兩邊相見自消磨。若值解神官事散，更逢天喜樂淘淘。世前為鎖後為關，世前二辰為鎖，世後二辰為關。若逢凶殺發動，主有鎖禁之憂。

If the day branch overcomes the official ghost, my side wins; if the official ghost overcomes the day branch, the opponent's strength is strong. If the day branch generates the official ghost, the matter will be delayed; if the official ghost generates the day branch, the matter will be fluctuating and unstable. If the day branch and the official ghost are not mutually overcoming, the case will eventually be resolved in harmony. If the day branch and the official ghost are in conflict or conjunction, when they meet face to face, they will naturally wear each other down and resolve the issue. If the relief deity appears, official matters will disperse; if the heavenly joy also appears, it will bring joy and worry-free peace. Before the world line, it is called 'lock'; after the world line, it is called 'gate'. The original note says: the two earthly branches before the world line are 'lock', and the two earthly branches after the world line are 'gate'. IfInauspicious Sha (evil spirits) are activated, it indicates worry of being locked up.

鬼旺克身主脊杖。身克宗廟有刑憲，六爻為宗廟爻。宗廟克身道理強。身衰怕被日辰克，死絕年年獄裡藏。宗廟死絕事當寧，大壯知他理不明。子孫臨身官事散，鬼來克世是輸名。明夷卦主幽囚禁，父母爻交事未亨。鬼在伏中難解脫，財居飛位易調停。眾陽在外無輸象，刑殺臨身自殺刑。

The "Official Ghost" is prosperous and strong and it overcomes the "Body Line," mainly resulting in punishment by the bastinado. The "Body Line" goes on to overcome the "Ancestral Temple" line, which will lead to legal punishment falling upon oneself—original note says the sixth line is the "Ancestral Temple" line; conversely, if the "Ancestral Temple" line overcomes the "Body Line," it indicates the other party has a stronger argument. The "Body Line" being weak is most afraid of being overcome by the Day Branch; if it is in the dead or doomed position, one will be imprisoned every year. If the "Ancestral Temple" line is in the dead or doomed position, the matter should subside; if the "Great Strength" hexagram appears, it indicates the person is at fault and the matter is unclear. If the "Children" line is adjacent to the "Body Line," official matters will dissipate; if the "Official Ghost" overcomes the "World Line," it means losing the matter of status. If the "Bright Light" hexagram appears, it indicates being imprisoned; if the "Parents" line is active, the matter is still not smooth. If the "Official Ghost" is hidden below, it is difficult to be released; if the "Wealth" line is in the position of the Flying God, it is easy to mediate. If many Yang lines are in the Outer Trigram, there is no sign of losing; if punishments and killings are adjacent to the "Body Line," it is self-inflicted punishment.

我欲興詞去告人，兄財子動狀難成。父興鬼發須成訟，財動文書斷不成。他人告我果何如？子動兄搖定是虛。父鬼旺興成大訟，財興必定克文書。是非官訟幾時休？父鬼搖揚最可憂。子動旺時容易散，兄興財發事悠悠。青龍動主和，朱雀官偏拗。勾陳公差來，白虎杖比較。螣蛇鐵鎖拘，玄武吏典狡。若依此訣推，百試無不效。

I want to file a lawsuit against someone: if the 'Siblings' and 'Wealth' lines are active, the lawsuit will not succeed; if the 'Parents' line is strong and the 'Official Ghost' line is active, the lawsuit will definitely proceed. If the 'Wealth' line is moving, the document will certainly not be written. If someone sues me, the result will be: if the 'Children' line is moving and the 'Siblings' line is active, it is certainly false; if the 'Parents' and 'Official Ghost' lines are strong and active, a big lawsuit will occur; if the 'Wealth' line is strong, it will certainly harm the document. When will disputes and lawsuits be resolved: if the 'Parents' and 'Official Ghost' lines are moving and prominent, it is most worrying; if the 'Children' line is moving and strong, it will be easy to resolve; if the 'Siblings' line is strong and the 'Wealth' line is active, the matter will remain unresolved for a long time. The last verse is interpreted using the Six Spirits: if the 'Azure Dragon' is active, it indicates reconciliation; if the 'Vermilion Bird' is adjacent to the 'Official Ghost', the court will be stubborn; if the 'Gou Chen' is active, the police will come; if the 'White Tiger' is active, there will be a beating and confrontation; if the 'Teng She' is active, there will be iron chains and arrest; if the 'Black Tortoise' is active, the officials will be deceitful. If you follow this formula, it will be accurate every time.

占盜先推財鬼鄉，財爻安靜便無妨。內搖不離無安處，外動多因出遠方。鬼化為財須有望，財爻化鬼莫思量。妻財入墓無蹤跡，財犯勾陳在土藏。捉賊提防亡劫害，尋財切慮刃刑傷。子孫旺相終尋見，官鬼休囚必捉將。玄武鬼爻家裡動，原來家賊最難防。兩重官鬼勾連至，鬼落空亡自失忘。

When divining about theft, first determine the positions of the 'Wealth' and 'Official Ghost' lines. If the 'Wealth' line is still, there is no problem. If the 'Wealth' line is moving within the inner trigram, the lost item has not yet left, but is just misplaced. If the 'Wealth' line is moving in the outer trigram, it is likely that the item has been taken away. If the 'Official Ghost' line transforms into the 'Wealth' line, there is still hope. If the 'Wealth' line transforms into the 'Official Ghost' line, there is no hope of recovering it. If the 'Wealth' line is buried, the item's whereabouts are unknown. If the 'Wealth' line is affected by 'Gou Chen', the item is hidden in the earth. To catch the thief, be cautious of the 'Wang Shen' and 'Jie Sha' influences. To search for the stolen goods, consider the 'Yang Ren' and the effects of punishment and clash. If the 'Children' line is prosperous and strong, the item will eventually be found. If the 'Official Ghost' line is weak and confined, the thief can certainly be caught. If 'Xuan Wu' and the 'Official Ghost' line are moving within the inner trigram, the thief is likely a family member, making it hard to guard against. If there are two 'Official Ghost' lines in the hexagram, they are connected internally and externally. If the 'Official Ghost' line falls into the 'Kong Wang' position, the item was lost and forgotten.

一世二世親鄰盜，三世四世不離鄉。五世六世他方賊，鬼若生身必見贓。木鬼東方人是賊，金西水北細推詳。火官本是南方盜，土鬼原來只在房。欲問賊人藏物處，鬼家父母處推詳。譬如火鬼木為父，木竹堆中及樹旁。不懼五行無準則，只愁財物落空亡。

If the first and second generations of the hexagram indicate the thief, it means the thief is a relative or neighbor. If the third and fourth generations are indicated, the thief is not from the same hometown. If the fifth and sixth generations are indicated, the thief comes from another place. If the 'Official Ghost' is born into the 'Body' line, the stolen goods can definitely be found. If the 'Official Ghost' belongs to wood, the thief is from the east; if it belongs to metal, the thief is from the west; if it belongs to water, the thief is from the north. These should be carefully examined. If the 'Official Ghost' belongs to fire, the thief is originally from the south; if it belongs to earth, the thief is originally inside the house. To find out where the thief has hidden the goods, examine the 'Parents' line corresponding to the 'Official Ghost' line. For example, if the fire line is the 'Official Ghost', then wood is the 'Parents', so the goods are hidden among wood or bamboo piles or near trees. Do not fear that the Five Phases have no rules to follow, but be afraid that the property has fallen into the 'Empty' position.

捕盜先推飛伏神，飛伏相生賊不真。飛克伏神須捉住，伏傷飛者反傷身。伏神帶殺休追趕，伏入勾陳賊自陳。內外世身依此例，內還克外定無因。應爻又是偷財者，若來克世屈難伸。欲知捕獲當何日？鬼敗財生定日辰。卜筮遺亡皆準此，身衰財發不由人。

To catch a thief, first examine the "Flying God" and "Hidden God." If the Flying God and Hidden God mutually generate, the thief will not be caught. If the Flying God overcomes the Hidden God, the thief will certainly be caught. If the Hidden God harms the Flying God, the person pursuing will be injured. If the Hidden God carriesInauspicious Sha (evil killing), do not pursue. If the Hidden God enters Gou Chen, the thief will confess on his own. The inner and outer trigrams, as well as the World Line and Body Line, should be examined in the same way. If the inner trigram overcomes the outer trigram, there is no way to act. The Response Line represents the person stealing property. If it overcomes the World Line, the person will suffer injustice. To know on which day the thief will be caught, look for the day when the Official Ghost is in a losing position and the Wealth Line is in a favorable position. For all divinations regarding lost items, this principle applies. If the Body Line is weak and the Wealth Line is active, the matter will be out of one's control.

凡人占卦問失物，官鬼交重必是賊。父興兄動恐難尋，子發財安必易獲。若是逃亡兼走失，用鬼為賊財為物。財爻在內不空亡，子位交重物終得。鬼在二三鄰里偷，若在初爻未將出。八純奔走他方去，歸魂物不離親戚。世應相生內外和，家中自匿虛啾唧。游魂內外且追尋，木鬼東方人是實。

When a person asks about a lost item, if the 'Official Ghost' line is active and overlapping, it certainly means the item was stolen by a thief. If the 'Parents' line is active and the 'Siblings' line is moving, it is likely difficult to find. If the 'Children' line is active and the 'Wealth' line is still, the item is certainly easy to find. If a person is missing or an item is lost, take the 'Official Ghost' as the thief and the 'Wealth' as the lost item. If the 'Wealth' line is in the inner trigram and not in 'Kongwang' (void), and the 'Children' line is overlapping and active, the item will eventually be found. If the 'Official Ghost' is in the second or third line, it is stolen by neighbors; if it is in the first line, the item has not yet been taken out of the door. If the eight pure trigrams are obtained, the person has already fled to another place; if the returning soul trigram is obtained, the lost item is not outside the family. If the 'World' and 'Response' lines are mutually generating and the inner and outer trigrams are harmonious, it means the item is hidden by a family member, causing unnecessary trouble. If the wandering soul trigram is obtained, the search will be conducted in all directions. If the 'Official Ghost' belongs to wood, the thief is from the east, and this is indeed accurate.

占卦須占用是誰，卻將出現伏藏推。凶中得吉逢生救，吉里成凶被克欺。若被克欺宜制伏，如逢生救要扶持。有人會得其中意，卦理雖深可盡知。

When divining a hexagram, the first thing to clarify is who the "Useful God" is for the matter being questioned. Then, one should check whether this Useful God appears in the hexagram or is hidden beneath the "Flying God." Based on this, one can make a judgment. A凶 (unfavorable) situation turning into a吉 (favorable) one is because it meets the generation and support; a吉 situation turning into a凶 one is because it is restrained and oppressed. If the Useful God is restrained and oppressed, one should take measures to subdue the yao that restrains it. If the Useful God receives generation and support, one should follow the trend to support it. Those who can understand this meaning can grasp the principles of hexagram divination even though they are profound. This is the concluding summary of the entire "Chan Ao Ge Zhang."

混沌之初，茫然未判。始因盤古立太極而分兩儀，爰及伏羲定陰陽而畫八卦，周室文王演易，魯幫孔子繫辭。察飛伏於八八六十四卦之中，定吉凶於三百八十四爻之內。包羅天地，可知物外夤緣。道合乾坤，何況人間禍福。

In the beginning when heaven and earth were formless and undifferentiated, everything was in a state of confusion. At first, Pangu raised the Taiji and separated yin and yang. Later, Fuxi established yin and yang and drew the Eight Trigrams. After that, King Wen of the Zhou dynasty interpreted the Zhou Changes, and Confucius of Lu wrote the Great Treatise. Thus, people could examine the Flying God and the Hidden God within the sixty-four hexagrams, and judge fortune and misfortune within the 384 lines. This system encompasses heaven and earth, and can even predict connections beyond material things. Its principles align with the principles of heaven and earth, and何况 the calamities and blessings of human beings are naturally included within it.

吾人問卜，必因動靜吉凶；學者推占，要識淺深高下。秘旨雖傳於人口，奧妙實出乎天然。事有萬殊，理無二致。須識靜中有動，當明吉處藏凶。靜者動之機，吉者凶之本。如逢卦靜，專尋暗動及空亡；若見爻興，便察吉凶分造化。諸爻並吉，更防吉處藏凶；大象皆凶，須識凶中有吉。

People consult divination for the fortune or misfortune between movement and stillness. Those who study the Book of Changes should be able to discern the depth and height within. These secret principles, though passed down by word of mouth, originate from nature. Although matters vary greatly, the principles remain the same. One must recognize that stillness contains movement and that good fortune hides misfortune. Stillness is the prelude to movement, and good fortune is the root of misfortune. If the lines in the hexagram are still, one should look for covert movement and empty voids. If a line is active, one should examine how good and bad fortune are differentiated. Even if all lines are good, one must be cautious of hidden misfortune within the good. Even if the entire hexagram appears ominous, one must know that there is still good fortune hidden within the bad.

若逢亂動，先觀用爻。用爻有彼我之分，得失從衰旺而決。六爻上下，吉凶全繫乎日辰；一卦中間，主宰莫逃乎世應。細察生旺墓絕，精詳克害刑沖。吉凶由此而分，禍福從茲而定。貴人乘祿馬，縱非吉慶也無凶；天喜會青龍，雖遇悲哀終有喜。

If all the lines are chaotic, first examine the "Useful God." The Useful God can be either belonging to the other party or to oneself; gain or loss is determined by its strength or decline. The fortune or misfortune of the six lines entirely depends on the Day Branch; the main force within a hexagram cannot escape the "World Line" and the "Response Line." Carefully examine the birth, strength, burial, and decline of the Useful God, and thoroughly investigate the aspects of conflict, harm, punishment, and opposition: good and bad fortune are thus distinguished, and misfortune and blessing are thus determined. If the "Nobleman" is riding on "Wealth" and "Horse," even if it is not a joyful matter, there will be no misfortune; if the "Heavenly Joy" combines with the "Azure Dragon," even if encountering sorrowful matters, there will ultimately be joy.

白虎動本非佳況，惟孕育反作吉神；子孫興總曰禎祥，問功名偏為惡客。官鬼不宜持世，求名婚娶兩相宜；妻財俱喜扶身，父母文書偏畏忌。玄武陰私兼失脫，螣蛇怪異及虛驚。朱雀本主官非，仕宦當生喜美；勾陳職專田土，行人終見遲留。

The White Tiger is generally not auspicious, but when it is active, it becomes a favorable deity in matters of childbirth; the Children爻 is usually considered auspicious, but when asking about official positions, it becomes an ill omen. The Official Ghost爻 is not suitable to hold the World Line, yet in matters of seeking official positions and marriage, it is actually favorable. The Wealth爻 is generally welcomed to support the Self爻, but when divining about documents, it harms the Parents爻, which is most to be avoided. The Black Tortoise signifies hidden affairs and loss of belongings, while the Snake signifies strange occurrences and false alarms. The Vermilion Bird usually signifies legal disputes and conflicts, but when divining about official careers, it brings good fortune. The Gou Chen governs land and produce, and when divining about travelers, it indicates that they will eventually remain and not return.
