凡小兒命，見財多，必庶出螟蛉，剋父母也；若幼年行運於財旺之鄉亦然。

When examining the fate of a child, if the wealth star appears excessively, it is likely that the child is not the biological son or daughter, or has been adopted as a foster child. Moreover, such a child tends to harm their parents. If during their early years the child's fortune flows to a place where wealth is strong, the situation remains the same.

甲側生頂不正，有胎衣遮；丁偏生雙頂，乾生有依，應有剋刑；辰復生，背父易生易養；申有聲；寅遲滯；未吉；辰有胎衣包；仰生有驚。

This is how the initial birth shape is observed through the heavenly stems and earthly branches: those born under Jia are born sideways, with their head not straight, covered by amniotic sac; those born under Ding are born slanted, with two hair whorls on their head, if born in the position of Qian, they still have some support, but there will be some conflicts; those born under Chen are born upside down, facing away from their father, easy to give birth and easy to raise; those born under Shen cry immediately upon birth; those born under Yin have a slow delivery; those born under Wei are auspicious; those born under Chen are wrapped in amniotic sac; those born facing upwards are startled immediately upon birth.

夫小兒命，大要身旺，最喜印綬生之，無財剋之，則易生災少。不要官星七殺、陽刃傷官太旺，身旺亦多災；身弱則難養。如見所畏之辰，切不要行運歲君助之。大畏財旺，不庶出必螟蛉，剋父母也；更不要行運早，蓋氣難敵也。

In general, for a child's destiny, the most important thing is a strong body. It is most favorable to have a seal (印綬) to support it, and to have no wealth (财星) to harm the seal. In this case, the child will be healthy and suffer few disasters. One should avoid having excessive official stars (官星) or seven killers (七杀), as well as excessive Yang blades (阳刃) or injurious officials (伤官). If the body is too strong, it will also bring many disasters; if it is too weak, the child will be difficult to raise. If the character in the birth chart that is feared appears, one must not allow the destiny path (行运) or the annual master (岁君) to assist it further. Especially dangerous is excessive wealth (财旺), which may indicate the child is not the biological child or has been adopted, and will harm the parents. Also, one should avoid the destiny path starting too early, because a child's vital energy is weak and cannot withstand the strong energy of the large destiny path.

庚子、戊寅、戊子、丁巳：生月中之後，月逢七殺，賴有丁火為印綬，寅為長生之地，能生戊土；不合見庚子，巳字金長生，其二子之水為財，剋丁火生氣，反生月中七殺。七殺來剋身，身弱難敵；故當年十一月，其子死矣！此為生殺壞印之禍也。

For example, if someone is born in the year Gengzi, in the month Wuyin, on the day Wuzi, and at the hour Dingsi: they are born after the month's qi, and the month's stem Wuyin contains the wood Jia, which is the seven killing star for the day's stem Wu. Fortunately, the hour's stem Dingsi is fire, which acts as a seal and supports the day's stem. The branch Yin is the long life place for fire, so fire can support the day's stem Wu. Unfortunately, the year column is Gengzi, and the branch Si contains the metal Geng, which also has long life. The two water Zi become the wealth for the day's stem Wu. The wealth comes to destroy the fire, which is the source of support for the day's stem, and instead supports the seven killing star in the month. The seven killing star attacks the body, and since the body is weak, it cannot resist. Therefore, the child died in the eleventh lunar month. This is exactly the disaster of "wealth generates the killing star and destroys the seal."

如癸酉、癸亥、己丑、乙亥：此命四柱財重，自分娩幾乎俱亡；未歲餘父母亦亡，乃過房繼養。其他倣此，無疑也！

For example, a person born in the year Guiyou, month Yihai, day Jichou, and hour Yihai: in this birth chart, the wealth stars are too strong, and the Jichou earth day master cannot bear them. The mother almost died during childbirth along with the child; the child did not live past one year, and both parents died successively, so the child had to be adopted by another family to be raised. The rest should be examined in the same way, without doubt.

小兒之命，當論時辰為主；先看關煞，次看格局。日主強，財官旺，有關無煞。日干弱，財官少，常病可養。

A child's destiny should be mainly judged by the hour of birth. First, check what karmic obstacles are involved, then examine the overall pattern. If the day stem is strong and the wealth and official stars are also prosperous, there may be only obstacles but no harmful influences. If the day stem is weak and the wealth and official stars are scarce, although the child may often be sick, they can still be well cared for.

日干弱，財官多，有關有煞；又有三合，聚煞者難養。不帶刑沖者，聲音響亮，夜啼急性。

When the day stem is weak and there are many wealth and official stars, there is both a beneficial influence and a harmful one. If triple harmony is added, gathering the harmful influences together, it becomes difficult to nurture. Those without punishment and clash in their fate will have children with loud voices, but they tend to cry at night and have a quick temper.

八字有財官，生於富貴之家；偏官生於平常之家；傷官劫財，生於貧賤之家；偏官偏印偏財，主偏生庶出，不然第三四胎。

In the four pillars of destiny, if there are both wealth and official positions, the person is born into a wealthy family; if the biased official is in command, they are born into an ordinary family; if the injurious official and the stolen wealth are in charge, they are born into a poor and lowly family; if there are simultaneously the biased official, the biased scholar, and the biased wealth, it indicates that the person was born out of wedlock, or is not the firstborn, but rather the third or fourth child.

子平之法，偏官為關，偏財為煞，取生辰之數斷之；水一、火二、木三、金四、土五。且如甲日庚殺，乃四、九歲；如丙見壬殺，一、六歲；如戊日甲殺，三、八歲；庚日丙殺，二、七歲；壬見戊殺，五、十歲見之。至於陰干，亦如此。無不驗矣！

According to the method of Zi Ping, the偏官 is called 「关」 and the偏财 is called 「煞」. Using the numbers of the Five Phases to determine the age at which the 「关」 and 「煞」 occur: water is one, fire is two, wood is three, metal is four, and earth is five. For example, for a Jia day, the seven杀 is Geng metal, whose number is four, so it occurs at four and nine years old; for a Bing day, the seven杀 is Ren water, whose number is one, so it occurs at one and six years old; for a Wu day, the seven杀 is Jia wood, whose number is three, so it occurs at three and eight years old; for a Geng day, the seven杀 is Bing fire, whose number is two, so it occurs at two and seven years old; for a Ren day, the seven杀 is Wu earth, whose number is five, so it occurs at five and ten years old. For the yin days, the same method is applied, and there is no case that does not verify.

推婦人之命，與男命大不同。草堂丁進士先生作元《神趣八法》，照返鬼伏屬類從化；女命八法，純和清貴、濁亂娼淫。

Divining a woman's fate differs greatly from divining a man's. Master Ding, an imperial examiner, wrote a book called "The Eight Methods of Divine Interest," which discusses eight methods: illumination, reflection, ghost, concealment, belonging, category, following, and transformation. Women's fate also has its own eight methods, but they are ultimately no more than two categories: pure harmony and noble dignity, or turbid disorder and licentiousness.

取官為夫，為福星；財旺生官，則夫納福。印綬食神為名貴，有稱呼。生氣印綬，難為子息。

For a woman's destiny, the official star represents her husband, and the official star is also her fortune star. If wealth is strong and can generate the official star, then the husband will enjoy good fortune. The seal star and the food star indicate fame and prestige, and the person will be respected and praised by others. If there are too many seal stars that are in the position of generating me, then children will be difficult to have, because one heavy seal star will take away the food and injury stars.

印綬財官，必生於富貴之家，才貌賢淑。甲日見辛酉是正夫，丁午字傷正夫。庚申是偏夫；如庚申辛酉重見，乃傷夫再嫁。

If a person's destiny includes the seal, wealth, and official positions all present, they are destined to be born into a wealthy and noble family, possessing talent, beauty, and virtuous character. For a person with Jia wood as the day stem, encountering Xinyou signifies the proper husband, while encountering Dingwu indicates harm to the proper husband, as the fire element overcomes the metal. Encountering Gengshen represents a secondary husband. If both Gengshen and Xinyou appear heavily, it indicates a mixture of official and harmful elements, leading to a destiny of harming the husband and remarrying.

若財太多，官殺太旺，乃明暗夫集多，淫而且濫。財多而淫；故女人要財薄，旺夫益子。

If there are too many wealth stars and too strong official stars, it indicates a gathering of both visible and hidden spouses, leading to promiscuity and excess. Wealth in excess tends to lead to promiscuity, so women should have a modest amount of wealth to support their husbands and benefit their children.

如官得地，七殺受傷，食神干旺，印綬天月二德，夫榮子貴，封贈之命。婦人八字，傷官官殺混雜，食神財旺身衰，為人妒害，好色貪婪，兇頑可畏。

If the official star is in a favorable position, the seven deadly stars are restrained and weakened, and the food god is strong in the heavenly stem, with the scholar's robe also accompanied by the Heavenly Virtue and Monthly Virtue, then the husband will achieve honor and the son will be prosperous, indicating a destiny that can receive imperial recognition. Conversely, if a woman's four pillars mix the injurious star with the official and deadly stars, and both the food god and wealth are strong while the day master is weak, then she will be jealous and harmful, lustful and greedy, and dangerous to others.

傷官見官，剋夫再嫁、身心勞役；雖不傷夫，亦有病患、平生欠福，多主不安。大忌年上傷官，主產厄帶疾；否則傷壽。傷官主人聰明，美貌秀氣。

When the official star meets the injurious official, it indicates a tendency to harm the husband, leading to remarriage, mental and physical exhaustion; even if the husband is not harmed, there will be illness, a lack of good fortune in life, and mostly an unsettled existence. It is most unfavorable if the injurious official appears in the year pillar, which may lead to difficulties in childbirth, illness, or shortened lifespan. However, the injurious official also indicates intelligence, beauty, and a refined appearance.

傷官見殺者富，無財者貧。劫財敗財、傷官身旺，貧賤下格。以上十五格，皆是沖官逢合，俱有傷官之忌；雖是富貴，不免淫濫之風。

Wealth is obtained when the official star is harmed and the seven deadly stars are present, but poverty results when there is no wealth in the chart. Poverty and low status are also indicated by the presence of劫财 (robbery wealth), 败财 (ruined wealth), or when the official star is harmed but the self is strong. The above fifteen patterns all involve conflicting with the official star and encountering a combination, and they all carry the drawbacks of the harmful official star. Even if one attains temporary wealth and prestige, they are inevitably prone to immoral and licentious behavior.

七殺正官，只要一位者良；殺多則夫多。官殺被合，乃婢妾姊妹爭權。且如甲用辛官，丙合是也；乙用庚官，見丁是也；戊用乙官，見辛是也。此是被合取之，餘倣此，主婦人招嫁不定。

The seven killing stars and the official star, if there is only one of them, are acceptable; if the killing star is numerous, it indicates that the husband is also numerous. If the official or killing star is intercepted by another star or controlled by another, it suggests that the wife's sisters or concubines are competing for power. For example, if Jia wood takes Xin metal as its official star, and Bing fire combines with Xin metal, then the official star is intercepted. If Yi wood takes Geng metal as its official star, and Ding fire harms Geng metal, then the official star is controlled. If Wu earth takes Yi wood as its official star, and Xin metal controls Yi wood, then the official star is also controlled. These are examples of the official star being intercepted or controlled. Other cases follow the same pattern, indicating that the wife's marriage will be unstable and change frequently.

八字中傷官及官星死絕，孤神寡宿，日時空亡，乃孤剋之命。如天干透出官殺，地支無官殺，更臨休囚死絕、退氣之地，乃女絕其夫之氣，當作偏房婢妾推之。

In the four pillars of destiny, if the official star and the injurious star both fall into the dead or extinct positions, and are accompanied by solitary deities and solitary hosts, and if the day pillar and hour pillar also meet the condition of kongwang, this is considered a fate of isolation and conflict. If the official or injurious star appears in the heavenly stem but lacks its root in the earthly branches, and if the official or injurious star is located in a position of weakness, extinction, or decline, it is interpreted as a woman cutting off her husband's fortune, and it should be analyzed as a secondary wife or servant.

命若有天月德，無產厄血光之患，亦無淫濫之氣。女命只要身弱，主性純粹而溫柔、能奉公姑、助益夫主；身強欺夫，不孝公姑、是非生事、性多急躁。身弱為病，身強亦然。

If a person's destiny includes Heavenly Virtue and Monthly Virtue, they will not face difficulties in childbirth or blood-related calamities, nor will they have improper desires or behaviors. For women, if their constitution is weak, their nature is pure and gentle, allowing them to serve their parents-in-law and support their husbands. However, if their constitution is strong, they may oppress their husbands, be disrespectful to their parents-in-law, cause trouble, and have a quick temper. Nevertheless, a weak constitution is a problem, and a strong one is also a problem; the ideal is to have a balanced and harmonious constitution.

八字喜貴，不宜驛馬咸池；要純和柔弱，不宜剛健太強，歲運亦同。外有陰錯陽差、孤鸞之日，不利嫁娶；皆無花燭成親，因親至眷，填房孝娶婚姻轉析。

An eight-character birth chart that is favorable has a nobleman's influence, but should not have the驿马 or Xianchi; it should be pure and gentle, not too strong or vigorous. This principle also applies to the flow of years and major cycles. In addition, days of Yin error and Yang difference, as well as the 'solitary phoenix' day, are not favorable for marriage. People with such charts usually do not have a grand wedding, or they get married through family connections, or as a second wife, or they get married during a period of mourning. Their marriages are often complicated and involve many obstacles.

《孤鸞煞》云：『木虎孀無婿，金豬豈有郎；赤黃馬獨臥，黑鼠守空房。』主女寡而男孤。時中併沖，女則難為夫嗣；加以空亡、時日孤剋，不待言而可知。

The "Lonely Crane Harm" says: A woman born on Jiayin (甲寅) is destined to be a widow without a husband, and a woman born on Xinhai (辛亥) will not find a husband. The red yellow horse born on Bingwu (丙午) and Wuwu (戊午) sleeps alone, and the black rat born on Renzi (壬子) remains alone in her chamber. These days are indicative of women being lonely and men being isolated. If the time pillar also has a conflicting element, the woman will find it difficult to marry and have children. If further combined with Kongwang (空亡), and both the day and time pillars are isolated and conflicting, then there is no need for further explanation.

八字官殺俱無，卻行官殺財運，乃夫星得地則孤。八字財官俱有，運行傷官劫財之地，難為夫宮；運過方嫁。細推甚驗。

In the four pillars of destiny, if there are no officials or enemies, yet one comes across a period of officials and wealth, the husband's star is only established in the fortune but not in the original birth chart, leading to a lonely fate. If both wealth and officials are present in the birth chart, but one enters a period of injurious stars and competing wealth, the husband's position becomes unstable; one can only marry after this period is over. Careful analysis shows this is very accurate.

《詩訣》財官印綬三般物，女命逢之必旺夫；不犯殺多無混雜，身強制伏有稱呼。

Wealth, official position, and official seal are three things; if a woman's fortune includes these, it will surely bring prosperity to her husband. As long as she does not have too many seven kills, does not have a mix of official and killing stars, and her day master is strong enough to control them, she will have a good reputation.

《詩訣》女命傷官福不真，無財無印守孤貧；局中若見傷官透，必作堂前使喚人。

《詩訣》官帶桃花福壽長，桃花帶殺少禎祥；合多切忌桃花犯，劫比桃花大不良。

The official star accompanied by Taohua indicates long-lasting blessings and longevity; if Taohua is accompanied by the seven deadly stars, there will be little good fortune. Those with many harmonies should be most cautious of another Taohua. If劫财, 比肩, and Taohua are combined, it is very unfavorable.

《詩訣》女命傷官格內嫌，帶財帶印福方堅；傷官旺處傷夫主，破了傷官損壽元。

For a woman's fate, the most disliked is falling into the pattern of the Wounding Official (Shangguan). To make her fortune secure, she should have wealth to transform it and the Seal (Yin) to control it. When the Wounding Official is strong, it harms her husband. However, if the Wounding Official is destroyed too completely, it will damage her own lifespan.

《詩訣》飛天祿馬井欄叉，女命逢之福不佳；只好為偏併作妓，有財方可享榮華。

"Fly Heaven禄 and Horse" and "Well Frame Cross" patterns, when seen in a woman's chart, indicate poor fortune; she is likely to become a concubine or fall into prostitution. Only if there is a wealth star in the chart can she enjoy honor and prosperity.

凡觀陰命，先觀夫主之盛衰；次論身榮，要見子息之強弱。夫榮子旺，定知富貴榮華。子死夫衰，只是窮孤下賤。

When examining a woman's destiny, first consider the strength and decline of her husband's star, then assess her own fortune and hardship, and also look at the strength of her children's stars. If the husband's star is prosperous and the children's star is strong, it indicates a destiny of wealth, honor, and prosperity. If the children's star is weak and the husband's star is declining, then it signifies a fate of poverty, hardship, and lowly status.

有夫有子而貧寒者，蓋因身在衰鄉。無夫無子而昌盛者，亦是身居旺地。

A woman who has a husband and children yet remains poor is because her day master is in a declining position. A woman who has neither a husband nor children yet is prosperous is because her day master is in a strong position. This shows that a woman's fate cannot be judged solely by the presence of a husband and children; one must also consider the strength and weakness of her day master.

若貴人少者，不富亦昌。合貴神非妓即尼，論淫賤者。四柱傷官，暗招財損。

If a person's fate has only one or two noblemen without complexity, they may not be wealthy but will still have smooth circumstances. When a nobleman is joined by another, it indicates either becoming a prostitute or a nun, which is considered in terms of debauchery. If there is a wounded official in the four pillars, it will lead to hidden losses of wealth.

招婿者，夫顯於門戶之中。偏夫者，夫旺於日時之上。夫衰身旺，主為廉潔之人。鬼旺身衰，必作孤寒之婦。凡觀陰命之五行，要精詳於明辨矣！

When a woman marries a husband through a matchmaker, the husband's star is evident in the door column, which is the month column. If there is a biased husband, the husband's star is strong in the day column and the hour column. If the husband's star is weak while the day's main star is strong, it indicates a person who is clean and upright. If the official ghost star is strong while the day's main star is weak, it means she will certainly be a lonely and poor woman. When examining a woman's five phases, one must be meticulous and careful, distinguishing clearly.

擇婦須沉靜，細說與君聽。夫主要強宮，身主要強甚。官星若不合，夫主無所依。合絕莫合貴，此法少人推。

Selecting a wife should focus on a quiet and composed nature. Now I will explain in detail. The husband's star should be in a strong position, and the day master itself should also be strong. If the official star does not harmonize with the day master, the husband will have no support. It is better to have it harmonize with the terminal position rather than with the noble deity. This method is rarely studied by others.

專以日為年，此法少人傳。帶祿入生旺，產死教人謗。驛馬帶貴人，終久落風塵。

This method of examining the day pillar in relation to the year pillar is rarely passed down. If one carries a good fortune and enters a flourishing and vital position, the energy becomes too strong, leading to difficulties in childbirth and even death, causing gossip. 有辰休見戌，有戌休見辰；辰戌若相見，多是淫賤人。有殺不怕合，無殺卻怕合；合神若是多，非妓亦謳歌。

If the person's destiny includes the hour of Chen, they should avoid meeting Xu, and if it includes Xu, they should avoid meeting Chen; when Chen and Xu meet, they are mostly people of immoral and low character. Those with the seven killing stars do not fear harmony, because harmony can restrain the killing stars; those without the seven killing stars actually fear harmony. If there are too many harmonizing influences, they will not become prostitutes but will instead become performers who sing for a living.

貴人一座正，兩三作寵定。陽刃帶傷官，駁雜事多端。滿盤多是印，損子必須定。

The nobleman appears only once, indicating a legitimate wife; when two or three noblemen are present, it signifies a favored concubine. The Yang Blade combined with the official star leads to complicated matters and tangled affairs. If there are many official stars in the chart, it is certain to cause harm to the children, because too many official stars will compete for the food and injury stars.

二德坐正財，富貴自然來。四柱俱休囚，封贈福祿壽。金水若相逢，必招美麗容。寅申巳亥全，孤淫口便便。

Heavenly Virtue and Monthly Virtue are seated upon the正财 (proper wealth), and wealth and honor will naturally come. If all four pillars are in a state of weakness and confinement but do not strive, they will instead receive honors and titles, and enjoy complete blessings, longevity, and good fortune. If metal and water meet, one will certainly have a beautiful appearance. If the four birth places of寅 (Rat),申 (Monkey),巳 (Snake), and亥 (Pig) are all present, it indicates loneliness and promiscuity, with constant talkativeness.

子午逢卯酉，定是隨人走。辰戌逢丑未，婦道之大忌。兩貴一位殺，權家富貴說。

When both Zi and Wu are paired with Mao and You, all four cardinal directions are present, indicating a tendency to run away with someone secretly. When Chen and Xu are paired with Chou and Wei, all four storage places are present, which is a major disaster for women. If there are two noblemen in the destiny but only one seven killer, it indicates a prosperous and wealthy destiny of a noble family.

財官若藏庫，沖破豈不富。天干一字連，孤破禍綿綿。地字連一字，兩度成婚事。

If wealth and official positions are hidden in the storage places of Chen, Xu, Chou, and Wei, and if the storage is broken open by punishment and clash, how could one not become rich? If the heavenly stems are connected in sequence, it indicates loneliness, decline, and continuous misfortunes. If the earthly branches are also connected with the same character, it mainly indicates two marriages.

欲推女命，先看官星；官帶殺而貧賤，官得令以安榮。傷官太重必妨夫，且是為人性重。倒食重逢須減福，那堪更犯孤辰。

To predict a woman's fate, first examine her official star: if the official star is mixed with seven kills, she will be poor and lowly; if the official star receives the energy of the month's stem, she will have a stable and prosperous life. If the injurious star is too strong, it will harm her husband and make her personality heavy and difficult to deal with. If there is a heavy presence of the inverted food, which is also called a heavy bias official, her fortune will be reduced, and if it is combined with Guchen, the blessings will be even less.

殺重須奔貴室。合多定損貞名。坐祿乘輿而穩厚。沖身動步以輕浮。

When there is a strong seven杀, one must rely on the nobleman's family. When there are too many harmonious combinations, it is certain that the person will lose their reputation for chastity. If the day's ruler sits on the禄, it is like riding in a carriage, steady and reliable, indicating a person who is steady and virtuous. If the day's ruler is冲, then the person is unstable and fickle.

若乃桃花浪滾，淫奔之恥不堪言。日祿歸時，貴重為人所敬。天月二德以坐本命，如逢印綬，貴當兩國之封。

As for those with Taohua flourishing like waves, their disgrace from immoral escapades is unbearable to speak of. Those whose daily fortune returns to the hour position are respectful, dignified, and respected by others. If Heavenly Virtue and Monthly Virtue both sit upon one's birth destiny, and if they also encounter the印綬 (seal or official rank), their status can be honored with titles from two countries.

時日陽刃，本是凶神，既不利於夫主之宮，兼損壞乎平生之性。身干主禎祥。時犯食神健旺，要觀八字之強；專食子榮，忌偏印竊身之勝。

The Yang Blade on the time pillar is originally aInauspicious Spirit, which is not favorable to the husband's palace and can damage one's temperament throughout life. The day stem itself must be strong to bring auspiciousness. If the time pillar is afflicted by the food god and the food god is strong, one should also consider the overall strength of the八字; if relying solely on the food god, children will be prosperous, but one should be cautious of the biased master secretly taking away the food god and gaining the upper hand.

守閨門而正靜，必由陰日守中和。待夫婿以經營，此乃陽干時旺甚。大抵，欣逢正祿。怕犯咸池。

Those who can maintain propriety and quietness within the domestic sphere are certainly those with a yin heavenly stem as their day master and able to hold the middle and harmony. Those who need to manage and serve their husbands themselves are those with a yang heavenly stem as their day master and with excessive strength in the hour branch. In general, it is favorable to encounter the proper official position, but it is concerning to be afflicted by Xianchi.

清貴得長生之輔。雜濁以敗氣之歸。四柱敗多，大忌沖身而犯合。一生忙甚，若非是妓即為尼。
