The Hidden Mechanism Treatise

太極判為天地，一氣分有陰陽。日干為主，專論財官。月支取格，乃分貴賤。有格不正者，敗。無格有用者，成。

The Taiji splits into heaven and earth, and a single breath separates yin and yang. In judging a person's destiny, the day stem is the main focus, specifically discussing wealth and officialdom. To determine a pattern, one must look at the earthly branch of the month, thereby distinguishing between high and low status. If a pattern exists but is not properly formed, it will ultimately fail. If no pattern is formed but there is another useful heavenly stem, it may still succeed.

有官，莫尋格局。有格局，喜官星。官印財食無破，清高。殺傷梟刃，用之為吉。善惡相交，喜去殺而從善。吉凶混雜，忌害吉以化凶。

If there is an official star, there is no need to look for another pattern. If a pattern is already formed, it still prefers to have an official star to match. If the four auspicious elements—official, seal, wealth, and food—are not damaged, the pattern is refined and noble. The four malevolent elements—kill, wound, hawk, and blade—can also be auspicious if they are properly used. When good and evil are mixed, it is favorable to remove the seven kills and follow the good path. When auspicious and malevolent elements are mixed, it is unfavorable to damage the auspicious elements and turn the whole pattern into malevolence.

有官有殺，宜身旺，制殺為奇。有官有印，畏財興，助財為禍。身強殺淺，殺運無妨。殺重身輕，制鄉為福。

If both official star and seven killer star are present, the person's strength should be strong enough to control the killer star, which is considered a rare and favorable situation. If both official star and seal star are present, one should be cautious of the wealth star rising, as it may bring misfortune if the wealth star becomes strong. If the person's strength is strong but the killer star is weak, traveling through the seven killer star path is not a problem. If the killer star is strong but the person's strength is weak, traveling through a path that can control the killer star is considered a blessing.

身旺印多，喜行財地。財多身弱，畏入財鄉。男逢比劫傷官，剋妻害子。女犯傷官偏印，喪子刑夫。

If the person's strength is strong and the official star is numerous, it is favorable to go to a wealth place to reduce the excess official star. If there is too much wealth and the person's strength is weak, it is dangerous to enter another wealth area. For a male's fate, encountering the same kind,劫财 and official star can harm wife and children. For a female's fate, encountering official star and biased official star can lead to loss of children and harm to husband.

幼失雙親，財星太重。為人孤剋，身旺無依。年沖月令，離祖成家。日破提沖，絃斷再續。時日對沖，傷妻剋子。日通月令，得祖安身。

Those who lose both parents in childhood have excessive wealth stars that damage the official star. Those who are lonely and often cause harm have a strong self and no support. When the year pillar conflicts with the month pillar, they leave their ancestral home to establish their own. When the day pillar conflicts with the month pillar's main star, they may remarry after a broken marriage. When the hour pillar directly conflicts with the day pillar, it harms the wife and causes children to die early. When the day pillar is in harmony with the month pillar's energy, they can inherit the family's legacy and have a stable life.

木遇春長，遇庚辛反假為權。火歸夏生，見壬癸能為福厚。土逢辰戌丑未，木重成名。金坐申酉之中，火鄉發福。水居亥子，戊己難侵。

Wood grows in spring and thrives; when met by庚and辛metal torestrainit, it actually gains strength through this seven killer, becoming powerful. Fire is born in summer; when met by壬and癸water to assist it, it can achieve deep blessings. Earth that resides in辰,戌,丑, or未and is thick and solid needs abundant wood to loosen and move it, thus achieving fame. Metal that resides in申or酉and is sharp and strong gains fortune when it moves to the fire territory. Water that resides in亥or子and is in its prime is not easily infringed upon by戊or己earth.

身坐休囚，平生未濟。身旺喜逢祿馬。身弱忌見財官。得時俱為旺論。失令便作衰看。四柱無根，得時為旺。日干無氣，遇劫為強。

The day stem sitting in a weak and confined position will have a life full of difficulties. If the body is strong, it is favorable to see a禄 and 马; if the body is weak, it is unfavorable to see wealth and official positions. Those that are in season and in command are considered strong. Once out of season, they are considered weak. Even if the four pillars have no roots, if they are in season, they are still considered strong. Even if the day stem has no strength, if it meets a劫财 to help the body, it is considered strong.

身弱喜印。主旺宜官。財官印綬，破則無功。殺傷梟劫，去之為福。

A weak person benefits from having a seal to nourish them; a strong day stem is better served by having an official to restrain it. Once the beneficial elements such as wealth, official, and seal are broken, they lose their effectiveness. The harmful elements such as killer, injury, hawk, and robbery can bring good fortune if they are removed.

甲乙秋生金透露，水木火運榮昌。丙丁冬降水汪洋，火土木方貴顯。戊己春生，西南方有救。庚辛夏長，水土運無傷。壬癸逢於土旺，金木宜榮。

Jia and Yi wood born in autumn with metal appearing in the heavenly stem will flourish with the fortune of water, wood, and fire. Water can transform metal, wood can support the self, and fire can control metal. Bing and Ding fire born in winter with abundant water will achieve prominence with the fortune of fire, earth, and wood. Wu and Ji earth born in spring when wood is strong will find salvation with the fortune of southwest. Geng and Xin metal born in summer when fire is strong will suffer no harm with the fortune of water or earth. Ren and Gui water encountering strong earth will flourish with the fortune of metal or wood.

身弱有印，殺旺無傷；忌行財地。傷官傷盡，行官運以無妨。傷官用印宜去財。傷官用財宜去印。

If the person is weak but has a印 (helper), the seven killing stars (seven杀) are strong but cannot harm them, because the killing star can generate the helper, and the helper can then generate the person. The only thing to be cautious about is when the wealth (财) aspect is encountered, which would damage the helper. If the person's official star (官星) has already been completely harmed by the injurious star (伤官), then encountering official star (官) aspects later is not a problem. If the injurious star is using the helper as its useful element, then the wealth aspect should be removed. If the injurious star is using the wealth aspect as its useful element, then the helper should be removed.

是或，傷官財印俱彰，將何發福；身旺者用財，身弱者用印。用財去印，用印去財，方發彌福；正所謂喜者存之，憎者去之。

Then, if the official star, wealth, and education all appear, which one should be relied upon to bring good fortune? If the body is strong, use wealth; if the body is weak, use education. To use wealth, the education must be removed; to use education, the wealth must be removed. Only then can greater fortune be achieved. As the saying goes: keep what is favorable and remove what is disliked.

財多身弱，身旺以為榮。身旺財衰，財旺鄉而發福。重犯官星，只宜制伏。食神疊見，須忌官鄉。

When there are many riches but the self is weak, prosperity comes only when the self becomes strong. When the self is strong but riches are lacking, prosperity comes only when the wealth is abundant. If the official star appears repeatedly in the four pillars, it is suitable only if there is something to control it. If the food god appears repeatedly, one should avoid going to the official's territory.

頑金無火，大用不成。強木無金，清名難著。水多得土，財多蓄。火焰逢波（水星），祿位高。

A dull metal without fire to refine it cannot achieve great usefulness. A strong wood without metal to shape it cannot display its clear reputation. When there is an abundance of water and earth to contain it, wealth can be accumulated. When a fierce fire meets water to assist it, the official rank will be high.

有官有印，無破無榮。無印無官，有格取貴。陽刃格喜偏官。金神最宜制伏。雜氣財官，刑沖則發。官貴太盛，旺處必傾。

If both official position and imperial seal are present, they must not be damaged in order to achieve honor and prominence; once they are damaged, honor is lost. If neither official position nor imperial seal is present, as long as another pattern is formed, one can still attain nobility. The Yang Blade pattern favors the presence of a biased official. The Metal God pattern is most suitable when restrained by something. Wealth and official position hidden in the mixed earth elements of Chen, Xu, Chou, and Wei need to be released by punishment and clash to manifest. When the energy of official and noble status is too strong, reaching its peak will inevitably lead to downfall.

身太旺，喜見財官。主太柔，不宜祿馬。旺官旺印與旺財，入墓有禍。傷官食神並身旺，遇庫興災。

When the day master is too strong, it is favorable to see wealth and official stars to consume and control it. When the day master is too weak, it is not advisable to see the禄 and 马 again to stir things up. Strong official stars, strong nourishing stars, and strong wealth stars, once entering the storage, will bring misfortune. If the injurious star, the food star, and the strong day master all appear together, encountering the storage will cause disaster.

運貴在於支取。歲重向乎干求。印多者，行財而發。財旺者，遇比何妨。格清局正，富貴榮華。印旺官旺，聲名特達。

The importance of a big destiny lies in the earthly branches, while the weight of the sovereign year is determined by the heavenly stems. Those with many prints may become wealthy when they encounter a fortune. Those with strong wealth may not be hindered even when encountering a peer. Those with a clear and proper pattern will achieve wealth, honor, and prosperity. If both prints and officials are strong, their fame will be particularly prominent.

合官，非為貴取。合殺，莫作凶推。桃花帶殺，喜淫奔。華蓋逢空，多刻剝。平生不發，八字休囚。一世無權，身衰遇鬼。

When the official star is combined, it cannot be considered as a sign of high status. When the seven deadly stars are combined, they should not be regarded as evil. If the Taohua is accompanied by the seven deadly stars, it indicates a tendency towards licentiousness and unrestrained behavior. If the Huagai star falls into the Kongwang, the person tends to be mean and exploitative. Those who never rise in status have a birth chart with weak and confined elements. Those who never hold power have a weak body and encounter official ghosts.

身旺者，則宜洩、宜傷。身衰者，則喜扶、喜助。稟中和，莫令太過不及。若遵此法推詳，禍福驗如影響。

A person with a strong destiny should use food and injury elements to release it and official and killer elements to control it. A person with a weak destiny should prefer to have a seal element to support it and similar or rival elements to assist it. The key is to maintain balance, neither excessive nor insufficient. If we follow this method to analyze, misfortune and fortune will appear as inseparable as shadow and form, or as responsive as echo and sound.

天地陰陽二氣，降於春夏秋冬，各生其時；有用者則吉，無用者則凶。是以洩天機之妙理，談大道之玄微。天既生人，人各有命。所以，早年富貴，八字運限咸和；中主孤單，五行逢死絕敗。

The two forces of yin and yang in heaven and earth descend into the four seasons of spring, summer, autumn, and winter, each flourishing in its own season. What is beneficial to me is auspicious, and what is not is inauspicious. Therefore, this passage aims to reveal the subtle principles of divination and discuss the profound mysteries of the great Dao. Since heaven has created human beings, each person has their own destiny. Those who become wealthy and prosperous early in life have their birth chart and major destiny periods in harmony; those who later become isolated are due to the five elements falling into the positions of death, extinction, and decline.

過房入舍，年月中分。隨母從夫，偏財空而印旺。早歲父亡，偏財臨死絕殺宮。幼歲母離，只為財多印死。比肩多，而兄弟無情。陽刃多，而妻宮有損。

If someone is adopted into another family or marries into a different surname, look at the middle division between the year pillar and the month pillar. Those who recognize a stepfather after their mother remarries have the paternal star of偏财 falling into an empty position while the印星 is strong. Those who lose their father early have偏财 located in the death or绝 positions or under the seven杀. Those who separate from their mother at a young age are due to excessive wealth (财) and the印星 being dead or绝. Those with many比肩 indicate lack of affection among brothers. Those with manyThe Yang Blade indicate damage to the wife's palace.

官逢死氣之方，子招難得。若見傷官太盛，子亦難留。如遇沖破提綱，定主離於祖業；再見空亡，三番四廢。

The official star is the son star for a man's destiny. If it falls in the death qi direction, children will be difficult to have. If there is also a strong injurious star that overcomes the official star, the son will not be retained. If it meets a clash that breaks the monthly stem's main thread, it will certainly indicate leaving the ancestral estate; if it also meets kongwang, then there will be repeated failures and repeated efforts.

印綬逢生，母當賢貴。偏官歸祿，父必崢嶸。官星臨祿旺之鄉，子當榮顯。七殺遇長生之位，女招貧夫。

The mother star印綬 encountering generation and support indicates a virtuous and esteemed mother. A biased official star偏官 falling into the position of禄 means the father is certainly outstanding. An official star官星 located in a prosperous禄旺 area indicates a glorious son. A seven killer star七杀 encountering the growth positionGrowth indicates a wife marrying a poor husband.

自身借宮所生，必是依人過活。妻星失令，半路拋離；若乃借宮所生，亦是他人義女。酒色猖狂，只是桃花帶殺。慈祥敏慧，天月二德聚來。

The day ruler needs to borrow the energy from another palace to be generated and supported, indicating a dependence on others for survival. If the wife star loses its proper season, it will be abandoned halfway. If the wife star also relies on energy from another palace, then the wife taken in marriage is likely a foster daughter from another family. Excessive indulgence in alcohol and lust is due to the presence of Taohua combined with seven killers. Kindness and wisdom are signs of both Heavenly Virtue and Monthly Virtue converging in the destiny.

印綬旺，而子少息稀。正官旺，而女多男少。梟神興，早年折夭。食神旺，老壽而高。

When the印綬 is too strong, there will be few children, as the heavy印綬 will take away the food and injure the offspring. When the 正官 is too strong, there will be many daughters but few sons. When the 梟神 is strong, there will be an early death. When the 食神 is strong, there will be a long life in old age.

偏財逢敗，父主風流；子曜若臨，破家蕩產。自身逢敗，早歲興衰。妻入墓，不得妻財。父臨庫，父當先死。比肩逢祿，兄弟名高。

The star of偏财 (secondary wealth) falling into the bathing (bathing) position indicates the father is unfaithful. If the son star also falls into this position, it will lead to the destruction of the family's wealth. If the day's main element falls into the败地 (declining position), the family's fortune will decline early in life. If the wife star enters the墓 (grave) position, the family will not gain wealth from the wife's side. If the father star falls into theStorage (storage) position, the father will die first. If the 比肩 (companion) star meets the禄位 (favorable position), the brothers will have high reputation.

食神多而好飲食。正官旺而受沾滋。身臨沐浴之年，恐愁水厄。生入斗剋之年，必逢火災。

Those with many food gods tend to enjoy good food and drink. Those with strong official stars are often helped and guided by others. When the day master reaches the year of bathing, there is a fear of water-related disasters. If one's birth year falls into a year where the handle of the dipper is in mutual control, there will certainly be a fire.

女帶桃花坐殺，定主淫奔。傷多而印綬被剋，母當淫蕩。年月沖者，難為祖業。日時沖者，妻子招遲。

A woman's chart with Taohua and seven killing stars indicates she will certainly be unfaithful. If there are many injurious stars and the official star is weakened, the mother's behavior will be improper. If the year pillar conflicts with the month pillar, the ancestral property will be lost. If the day pillar conflicts with the hour pillar, both wife and children will come late.

若見天元刑戰，父母難靠；如遇地支所生，凶中成吉。日主弱，水火相戰，而招是非。甲木衰，逢金旺，而無仁無義。此乃男命之玄機。

If the heavenly stems clash and fight continuously, the parents are unreliable; however, if there is still a mutual generation in the earthly branches, misfortune can turn into good fortune. If the day's main element is weak and water and fire conflict within the chart, it brings trouble. If jia wood is already weak and meets strong metal to be overcome, the person lacks benevolence and righteousness. The above refers to the secrets of male destiny.

略說女人之奧妙，純粹在於八字。純有富貴者，一官生旺。四柱休囚，必為貴者。濁淫者，五行沖旺。娼淫者，官殺交叉。命主多合，此為不良。滿柱殺多，不為剋制。

Now briefly explaining the subtleties of female destiny, the key lies in the purity of the four pillars. Those who are pure and possess official stars that are strong and flourishing will achieve wealth and honor. Those whose four pillars are all in weak and confined positions, not competing with the husband's star, will inevitably become noble wives. Those who are turbid and licentious are due to excessive conflict among the Five Phases. Those who become courtesans are because official stars and killing stars appear together. Those whose day stem is involved in many combinations are likely to be morally corrupt. Those with many killing stars in the entire chart without control are not effectively restrained.

印綬多，而老無子。傷官旺，而幼傷夫。荒淫之慾，食神太過。四柱不見夫星，未為貞潔。官星絕，遇休囚，孤孀獨宿。

Those with many印綬 (official stars) will be childless in old age. Those with a strong伤官 (harmful official) will lose their husband at a young age. Excessive desires for indulgence indicate an overabundance of食神 (nourishing deity). If the four pillars do not contain the夫星 (husband star), it is considered unchaste. If the official star has already declined and encounters a weak and confined position, it indicates a widow living alone.

清潔源流，金豬相遇。木虎相見，四柱三夫。陽刃重疊、水火逢蛇，夫宮早喪。食神一位逢生旺，招子須當拜聖明。父母之宮，男命同斷。若見此書，藏之如寶，若遇高士，對鏡分明；依其此法，萬無一失。

The source is pure when it meets the day of "Metal Pig" Xinhai. If encountering "Wood Tiger" Jiayin, there must be three husbands in the four pillars. Those with multiple Yang Blades and a water or fire destiny meeting the snake of Si, will lose their husband early. If the food god is only one and is in a flourishing position, the son will be able to pay homage to a wise sovereign. As for the parents' palace, male destiny is also judged in the same way. If one encounters this book, it should be treasured like a treasure. If meeting a wise person, one should mirror each other and analyze clearly. Following this method for prediction, there will be no error at all.

詳其往聖，鑑以前賢；論生死全憑鬼谷，推消息端的徐公。陽生陰死，陽死陰生，循環逆順，變化見矣！

Carefully examining the teachings of ancient sages and drawing on the discussions of past virtuous scholars, we find that the explanation of life and death relies on the school of Guiguzi, while the prediction of events depends on Xu Ziping. The place where a yang stem achieves growth is precisely where a yin stem reaches its end, and the place where a yang stem reaches its end is exactly where a yin stem achieves growth. Alternating in direction, this cycle continues, and all changes become evident.

夫，陽木生亥死午，雖存亡易見；陰木跨馬（午）逢豬（亥），則吉凶可知；艮（寅）生丙而遇雞（酉）死；兌（酉）生丁而逢虎（寅）傷；戊藏寅而西方（酉）沒；己生酉而艮（寅）中亡；

Jia, the yang wood, is born in Hai and dies in Wu, making its survival and demise easy to discern; Yi, the yin wood, is exactly the opposite, being born in Wu, the horse, and dying in Hai, the pig, allowing for the prediction of good and bad fortune. Bing fire is born in寅, the tiger, and dies in You, the rooster; Ding fire is born in You, the rooster, and is harmed by寅, the tiger. Wu earth is hidden and born in寅, the tiger, but sinks in You, the rooster; Ji earth is born in You, the rooster, but perishes in寅, the tiger.

庚逢蛇（巳）而崢嶸，運見鼠（子）亦難當；辛生子死在巽（巳）地；壬生申藏於震（卯）方；兔（卯）生癸水衣祿足，運行猴（申）地見災殃。十干生死同斷，造化依此推詳。

Geng metal is reborn in Si, where it shows a vigorous appearance; however, when it meets Zi and the rat, it reaches its death, making it difficult to endure. Xin metal is reborn in Zi, but dies in the position of Si, which is the Wind direction. Ren water is reborn in Shen, but is hidden in the position of Mao, which is the Thunder direction. Gui water is reborn above Mao, the rabbit, with abundant clothing and food, but when it reaches Shen, the monkey, it encounters calamity. The birth and death of the ten heavenly stems are all determined in this way, and the changes of fate are also judged accordingly.

又，詳權刃雙顯停均，位至侯王；中途或喪或危，運扶官旺。平生為富為貴，身殺兩停。大貴者，用財而不用官。當權者，用殺而不用印。

Further examination: When both authority and sharpness are evident and their weights are balanced, one may reach the rank of marquis or king; however, there may be loss or danger along the way, which depends on whether one's fortune supports the official strength. Those who can both become rich and noble have their body and killer forces balanced. Greatly esteemed people often use wealth rather than official positions; those in power usually use killers rather than seals.

印賴殺生。官因財旺。食居先，殺居後，功名兩全。酉破卯，卯破午，財名雙美。享福，五行歸祿。壽彌，八字相停。

The seal is supported by the seven killing stars, and the official position is strengthened by the wealth star. The food star comes first, and the seven killing stars come after; the food star first occupies its position and can control the killing stars, thus achieving both merit and fame. The酉 (You) breaks the卯 (Mao), and the卯 (Mao) in turn breaks the午 (Wu); within the breaking there is control and transformation, so both wealth and fame are excellent. Those who can enjoy blessings have the five elements each returning to their禄 (Lu) positions. Those with long life have their八字 (Ba Zi) balanced in weight.

晦火無光於稼穡（戊己）。陰木（乙）絕氣於丙丁。火虛有焰。金實無聲。水泛木浮者，活木。土重金埋者，陽金（庚）。

Fire is obscured by the cultivated earth of Wu and Ji, and thus loses its light. The Yin Wood of Yi meets excessive depletion by Bing and Ding, and its energy is exhausted. Although fire may seem weak, it still retains its flame; however, metal, when overly solid, becomes silent. Water that floods and floats is the rooted living Wood of Yi. Earth that is too heavy and buries the metal is the Yang Metal of Geng.

水盛則危。火明則滅。陽金（庚）得煉太過，變格奔波。陰木（乙）歸垣失令，終為身弱。

Water becomes too strong and causes danger, while fire becomes too bright and is easily extinguished. The yang metal Geng, when overly refined, changes its structure and leads to constant toil. The yin wood Yi, though returning to its original place, loses its proper season and remains weak in essence.

土重而掩火無光，逢木反為有用。水盛則木無定，若行土運方榮。五行不可太甚，八字須得中和。

When earth is too heavy and suppresses fire, the presence of wood can loosen the earth and also foster fire, which is beneficial. If water is too strong, the wood becomes floating and unstable, so the earth element is needed to control water, allowing growth and prosperity. The Five Phases should not be excessive; the eight characters always seek balance and harmony.

土止水流，全福壽。土虛木盛，必傷殘；運會元辰，須當夭折。木盛多仁。土薄寡信。

Earth can stop the flow of water, thus both fortune and longevity are complete. If the earth is weak and wood is strong, there will certainly be injuries. If this is combined with the Yuanchen in the destiny, it will result in an early death. Those with strong wood are usually kind and benevolent, while those with weak earth are often lacking in trustworthiness.

水旺居垣須有智。金堅主義卻能為。金水聰明而好色。水土混雜必多愚。遐齡得於中和。夭折喪於偏枯。

Water that is strong and resides in its native place is certainly intelligent. Metal that is firm and principled is capable of taking responsibility. Those with metal and water in mutual generation are clever but inclined towards lust. When water and earth are mixed and unclear, there is certainly much ignorance. Longevity comes from harmony, while premature death results from imbalance.

辰戌剋制併沖，必犯刑名。子卯相刑門戶，全無禮德。棄印就財明偏正。棄財就殺論剛柔。

When the Trigram Chen and Xu both control and clash with each other, there will certainly be legal troubles. When the Trigram Zi and Mao both clash and clash at the gate position, there is a complete lack of propriety and virtue. When one gives up the seal (印) for wealth (财), one must distinguish whether it is miscellaneous wealth or regular wealth; when one gives up wealth for the killer (杀), one must determine whether the day's ruler (日主) is strong or weak.

傷官無財可恃，雖巧必貧。食神制殺逢梟，不貧則夭。男多陽刃，必重婚。女犯傷官，須再嫁。

When the person has a wounded official (Shang Guan) but lacks the wealth star (Cai Xing) to rely on, although they may be clever, they will certainly be poor. The food god (Shi Shen) can originally control the killer (Sha), but if it meets the枭印 (Xiao Yin) that takes away the food, they will either be poor or die young. A man with many Yang blades (Yang Ren) must remarry. A woman who commits the wounded official (Shang Guan) must remarry.

貧賤者，皆因旺處遭刑。孤寡者，只為財神被劫。去殺留官方論福。去官留殺有威權。

A poor and lowly person suffers misfortune even when they are in their prime. A person without family support suffers because the wealth god is robbed by the thief. If the seven killing stars are removed and the proper official star remains, then fortune can be considered. But if the proper official star is removed and the seven killing stars remain, it actually brings authority.

逢傷官反得夫星，乃財命有氣。遇梟神而喪子息，福薄無後而孤。三戌沖辰禍不淺。兩干不雜利名齊。

For a woman's destiny, if the official star is found instead of the injurious star, it is because both wealth and destiny have vitality: the injurious star can generate wealth, and wealth can generate the official star. If the hawk star appears and leads to the loss of descendants, the fortune is poor, with no offspring and a lonely fate. When three戌 clash with one辰, the calamity is not shallow. If the heavenly stems are only two and not mixed, both benefit and fame are achieved.

丙子辛卯相逢，荒淫滾浪。子午卯酉全備，酒色昏迷。天干殺顯，無制者賤。地支財伏，暗生者奇。

When the four cardinal branches of Zi, Wu, Mao, and You are all present, there is an indulgence in wine and women. If the seven deadly stars in the heavenly stems are revealed without restraint, it indicates a low status. 因財致富，陽刃與歲運併臨。貪食乖疑，命用梟神因有病；姪男為嗣，義女為妻。日時相逢卯酉，始生必主迂移。平生敬信神祇，造化因逢戌亥。

陰剋陰，陽剋陽，財神有用。官多無官，大旺傾危。殺多無殺，反為不害。財多無財，運逢化殺生災。

八字得局失垣，平生不遇。四柱歸垣得令，早歲軒昂。木逢類象，榮貴高遷。命用梟神，富家營辦。

When the four pillars return to their original positions and receive the right seasonal influence, one will be confident and prosperous from an early age. 財官俱敗者，死。食神逢梟者，亡。龍藏亥卯，經商利絡絲綿。丁巳孤鸞，合作聰明詩女。

When both wealth and officialdom decline together, it indicates death. When the food god is taken by the hawk and seal, it indicates death. When the dragon hidden in the辰 is between亥 and卯, it is favorable for business dealing in silk and similar trades. On the day of Dingsi, which is called 'solitary lark', it is suitable for a clever and poetic woman.

日犯裸形沐浴，濁濫淫娼。日祿歸時見財，則清高富貴。歸祿有財而獲福。無財歸祿必須貧。

When the day pillar is afflicted by the naked form and bathing, it leads to turbid and corrupt conditions, resembling prostitution. If the day's official is found in the hour pillar and wealth is present, it indicates clarity and high status, leading to wealth and honor. 財印混雜，終為困窮。偏正濁亂，必致傷殘。太歲忌逢戰鬥。陽刃不喜刑沖。

癸從戊合，少長無情，多有不仁。庚逢丙擾，豈知遇正官，卻無俸祿。蓋，祿逢七殺，乃有聲名。

處僧道之首，用殺反輕。受憲臺之職，偏官得地。生地相逢，壯年不祿，老壽無終。

丁生酉金，丙辛遇之絕嗣。財臨殺地，父死而不歸家。八專日支同類，殺年殺運生災。若能觀覽熟讀，詳玩貴賤，萬無一失。

Ding fire born in You metal, if Bing and Xin also combine and meet, it indicates no descendants.
