The essential key to swift and profound divination techniques

以日為主，專論財官。蓋，官乃為扶身之本，財為養命之源。故推天時，察地利，約太過而不及，以中和而為用；去留舒配而中理，輕重強弱而表正。

When judging a person's destiny, the day stem is the main focus, specifically examining wealth and official positions. This is because officials are the fundamental support for the self, and wealth is the source that sustains life. Therefore, we should examine the heavenly conditions, observe the earthly advantages, moderate excesses, and supplement deficiencies, always aiming for harmony. Matters of retention and removal, expansion and coordination must align with reason; lightness and weight, strength and weakness must be properly balanced.

先觀節氣之深淺，後論財官之向背。人之命內，皆不離乎財官；諸格局中，總要虛邀祿馬。先賢已成矜式，後學須自變通。

First consider the depth of the season when the person was born, then discuss whether wealth and official positions are in harmony or opposition. Everyone's destiny involves wealth and official positions; all kinds of patterns ultimately require a remote invitation of禄 and 马. The predecessors have already established a model, but later learners must understand and adapt it themselves.

宜向之而運背，決之貧賤。宜背之而運向，斷之困弱。喜生以逢生，貴而可取。受剋而值剋，吉而堪言。

When the direction of action should be towards a certain path but it goes against it, it is judged as poor and lowly. When the direction should be against a certain path but it goes towards it, it is considered as being in a weak and constrained state. If something is favored by supportive forces but encounters support exactly, its nobility can be recognized. If something should be restrained but encounters restraint exactly, its auspiciousness can be spoken of.

逢官而看財，見財富貴。逢殺而看印，遇印榮華。逢印看官而遇官，八而七貴。逢財看殺原有殺，十有九貧。

When encountering the official star, look for wealth; seeing wealth brings prosperity and wealth. When encountering the seven deadly stars, look for the seal; encountering the seal brings honor and success. When encountering the seal, normally look for the official star; if the official star is truly present, seven out of ten will be wealthy. When encountering the wealth star, normally be cautious of the deadly stars; if the original chart indeed has deadly stars, nine out of ten will be poor.

甲乙運入西方，身旺功名可許。壬癸路經南域，主健為貴。印財不宜身旺地。食神最喜劫財鄉。

Jia and Yi are wood elements; when they move to the western metal direction, if the body is strong, success in officialdom is possible. Ren and Gui are water elements; when they pass through the southern fire region, if the day master is strong, wealth can be attained. When both seal and wealth are used, one should not go to a place where the body is strong again. The food god most prefers to go to the land of劫财.

官殺混雜，身弱則貧。官殺兩停，合殺為貴。年月官星，早年出仕。日時正貴，晚歲得名。

When official stars and killing stars are mixed and the body is weak, it indicates poverty. If official stars and killing stars are of equal strength, and the seven killing stars can be harmonized, then it is considered noble. If official stars appear in the year or month, one will attain official position early. If a proper noble star appears in the day or hour, one will gain reputation in old age.

胞胎逢印綬，祿享千鍾。財氣遇長生，田肥萬頃。秋冬官星逢刃傷，存金去火貴無疑。臘月傷官喜見官。破印重傷而禍死。

When the胎元 meets the印綬, one will enjoy a thousand measures of grain asofficial stipend. When the财气 meets theGrowth, one will possess vast fertile fields. Those born in autumn or winter, if their official star meets theThe Yang Blade or the伤官 harms the official star, as long as gold is retained and fire is removed, they will certainly achieve high status. Those born in the twelfth lunar month in the伤官 pattern actually benefit from meeting the official star to warm the situation. If the印 is broken and repeatedly injured, one will die due to misfortune.

財旺生官者，何貴少而富多？傷官見官者，何官高而財足？無傷不貴，有病為奇，宜當棄之，理妙於斯，何必外取。

When wealth is strong and generates official status, why is there little nobility but much wealth? When the official star is harmed but meets a noble, why is the official position high and wealth abundant? It is because if there is no damage at all in the destiny, it does not become noble; only when there is a problem and then a remedy is found does it become extraordinary. Once the problem is removed, that remedy should be abandoned. The subtlety of the principle lies here, so why look elsewhere for answers?

如，火炎水少遇庚辛，休作身旺官輕而取。或，土重木絕逢壬癸，難作身旺官輕而決。財輕莫逢劫地。印多最妙財鄉。

For example, if there is a lot of fire but little water, and also the presence of metal in the form of Geng and Xin, one should not use the principle of 'strong body and light official'. Similarly, if there is excessive earth but the wood is already dead, and then there is also the presence of water in the form of Ren and Gui, it is also difficult to apply the principle of 'strong body and light official'. If the wealth is originally weak, one should not encounter a place that further harms wealth. If there is an excess of official stars, the best is to have a path of wealth to reduce it.

財旺生官，用賂取貴。殺星制刃，劫寶圖名。身旺偏財何取，必取橫財。主捷正財偏劫，頻見妻災。

When wealth is strong and generates official power, it is using wealth to obtain status. When the seven deadly stars can control the Yang Blade, it is using force to seek fame. When the self is strong and there is a biased wealth, what should be sought? One must seek unexpected windfall. When the day's ruler is agile but the official wealth is seized, there will be frequent marital troubles.

劫財陽刃入官殺，臺閣之臣。歸祿倒沖逢刃傷，廊廟之貴。身旺有殺逢印綬，權斷之官。主弱逢印見財星，尋常之客。

Those who have劫财 andThe Yang Blade and enter the official and killer territory are officials of the cabinet. Those with归禄 and倒冲 patterns who meetThe Yang Blade and伤官 are esteemed officials in the halls of government. Those whose日主 is strong, have seven killers, and also meet印綬 are officials who hold power and make decisions. However, if the日主 is originally weak, even though there is印, but财 comes to destroy the印, they are just ordinary people.

陽刃傷官有制，膺職掌於兵刑。正官正印無傷，出仕牧其士庶。財旺稼穡，給餉之官。飛祿朝陽，侍廷之相。

The Yang Blade and the Wounding Official both have control over them, and they hold positions with authority over military and legal matters. The Proper Official and the Proper Seal are not harmed, and they take office to manage livestock and the common people. When wealth is strong and forms the "Cultivation and Harvest" pattern, they are officials in charge of distributing grain and pay. The "Flying Wealth" and "Sunrise" patterns are for ministers who serve at the court.

乾坤本清氣，畿國之榮。子午為極尊，黃門之貴。癸日癸時兼亥丑，魁名及第入翰林。壬日壬時疊寅辰，高爵承恩登御閣。

The positions of Qian and Kun are where pure energy resides, governing the honor of the capital region. The positions of Zi and Wu are the highest in prestige, governing the esteemed officials of the Yellow Gate Province. If someone is born on a癸 day and also at a癸 hour, with both亥 and丑 present, they will achieve the highest rank and enter the Hanlin Academy. If someone is born on a壬 day and also at a壬 hour, with both寅 and辰 present, they will attain high rank, receive imperial favor, and ascend to the imperial court.

日德見魁罡，縱吉運，貧寒之士。魁罡見財官，任得地，衣祿之人。傷官見官，妙入財印之地。財星破印，貴行比劫之中。

When someone has the Qiu Gang pattern and sees the sun, even if they have good fortune, they will remain poor and humble. When someone has the Qiu Gang pattern and sees wealth and official positions, even if they are in a favorable position, they will only be able to have enough for food and clothing. When the Wang Gan is seen with the official star, it is good if it can reach the place of wealth and the place of the seal to resolve the situation. When the wealth star breaks the seal, its value lies in having the brothers' fortune to save the situation.

命逢財，運逢殺，吉而堪言。命逢殺，運逢財，凶而可決。女多傷官，歸祿得之極吉。男逢陽刃，身弱遇之為奇。

If the original chart has wealth and the current fortune meets the seven杀, it is still considered auspicious. If the original chart has seven杀 and the current fortune meets wealth that nourishes the seven杀, it is definitely inauspicious. For a female's chart, if there are many official stars and they are paired with the return of the hour, it is extremely auspicious. For a male's chart, if it meets the Yang Blade, and the body is weak and the Yang Blade helps to strengthen it, it is considered a rare good fortune.

金神、歸祿、欄叉，女命逢之最忌。陽刃、傷官、七殺，男子值之得權。金神入火逢殺刃，貴而無疑。殺重有印逢食傷，榮而自有。

The patterns of Jin Shen, Gui Lu, and Jing Lan Chua are most undesirable for women's fate. However, encountering Yang Ren, Shang Gan, and Qi Sha is actually advantageous for men, as it can lead to power and authority. If Jin Shen enters the fire element and also meets Qi Sha and Yang Ren, then high status is certain. Even if Qi Sha is strong but there is an imprint to transform it and food and injury elements to control it, honor and prominence will naturally follow.

正官無印，居官不顯。陽刃七殺，出牧馳名。身旺無依，僧道之例。桃花滾浪，娼妓之流。

Only having the official star without the seal to support it, even though holding an official position, one does not achieve prominence. The Yang Blade combined with the seven killers leads to holding a position of governor and becoming famous. A strong body without support leads to becoming a monk or a Taoist. Continuous flow of Taohua indicates a person of the prostitute class.

金弱火強，土木消溶之匠。土多水淺，行商針線之工。五湖雲遶，始榮終辱己身貧。遍野桃花，一世風流多酒色。

When gold is weak and fire is strong, the person is a craftsman engaged in wood and earth work, spending his days in wearisome labor. When earth is abundant and water is shallow, the person is a merchant or a tailor, engaged in needlework. When water flows from all directions like clouds surrounding the five lakes, there is initial prosperity and honor, but eventually disgrace and personal poverty. When there is an abundance of Taohua everywhere, the person will be worldly and indulgent in wine and women all his life.

亡神拱殺，盜賊之徒。秀氣失時，清名之士。印旺身強多嗜酒。丁壬妒合犯淫訛。

Wangshen combines with Qi Sha and indicates a thief. Though there is elegance, if it is out of season, it indicates a person with a good reputation but no real ability. If the seal is strong and the body is also strong, it usually indicates a love for alcohol. If Ding and Ren are in mutual jealousy, there will be problems involving immorality, fraud, and deception.

身印俱強，平生少病。天月德助，處世無殃。食神生旺，勝似財官。貴全官殺，有棄命就財、就殺、就官者；有餘富貴，無依專旺。絕食、絕財、絕官者，無限貧窮。

If the person's own strength and their official star are strong, they will have few illnesses in their lifetime. If they are assisted by Heavenly Virtue and Monthly Virtue, they will have no misfortunes in their dealings with the world. If the food god is strong and flourishing, it surpasses wealth and official positions. Prestige mainly depends on officials and enemies, but there are also cases where one abandons their destiny to follow wealth, enemies, or officials; these patterns of following bring great wealth. It all relies on the day's main element being without support and relying entirely on its own strength. However, if the food god is exhausted, wealth is exhausted, and officials are also exhausted, then there will be endless poverty.

身弱棄命要無根，官居宰輔。主衰身化得其時，位近天廷。男命，類屬從化、照返鬼伏；女命，純和清貴、濁濫淫娼。宜細詳之！

If the day master is weak and the destiny follows the pattern of abandonment, it must be entirely rootless to form a complete pattern, which can then lead to holding high official positions. If the day master is weak but can transform into a qi pattern and receives the right seasonal influence, it can attain a position close to the imperial court. For male destiny, the methods include categories such as similarity, belonging, following, transformation, as well as illumination, return, ghost, and concealment. For female destiny, it is mainly divided into two paths: pure harmony and noble dignity, or vulgar and licentiousness. These should all be carefully examined and considered.

最貴者，官星為命，時得偏正財為福。最凶者，七殺臨身，逢天月二德為祥。官星若遇劫財，雖官無貴。七殺如逢資助，其殺愈重。

The most valuable is when the official star is the main destiny, and at the hour position there is a biased wealth or proper wealth to generate it, which brings fortune. The most dangerous is when seven killers are present; however, if they meet both heavenly virtue and monthly virtue, they can turn into auspiciousness. If the official star meets a劫财 to seize wealth and cuts off the source of generating the official star, although there is an official star, it is not valuable. If seven killers meet wealth to support them, the killer becomes even heavier.

三合六合，運至逢而必榮。七官八官，月逢官而為喜。四合四刑，合刑當為偏正。七沖七擊，沖擊喜得會藏。

Triple Harmony and Six Harmony, when encountered during one's journey of fate, are sure to bring honor and prominence. What is referred to as seven officials and eight officials, is most favorable when the official star appears in the month's stem. Regarding the four harmonies and four punishments, one should consider whether the harmonized or punished elements are biased or proper. As for the seven conflicts and seven strikes, among conflicts and strikes, it is favorable if they can form harmonies and result in containment.

夾貴夾丘為暗會。財庫官庫要正沖。官星在生旺之方，逢則何須發見。印綬臨孟仲之下，見而不見。

"JiaGui" and "JiaQiu" are considered hidden harmonies. The treasure warehouse and official warehouse must have a direct opposition to be opened. If the official star is in a flourishing and vigorous direction, encountering it does not necessarily require it to be visible. When the official star is in the first, second, or third month, it appears as if seen but also as if not seen.

露形印綬，得劫財為貴。財源喜傷（傷官），貴為奇。傷官要見印綬，貴不可言。歸祿若見子孫（食神），祿無限妙。

When the official star (印綬) is clearly visible on the surface, it is beneficial to have the劫财 paired with it, which can lead to high status. The source of wealth prefers to have the伤官 to generate it, and only through this can one achieve remarkable success and prestige. If the伤官 pattern encounters the official star (印綬) to control it, the noble aura is boundless. If the归禄 pattern meets the food god (食神), which is the 'son' deity, the禄 aura becomes extraordinary and limitless.

年月立有陰陽陽刃，刑罰重犯。官殺混逢天月德，壽位高遷。飛刃伏刃，會刃多凶。傷官見官，剝官見禍。

When the Yin Blade and Yang Blade are positioned on the year pillar and month pillar, it leads to repeated offenses and punishments. Although the official star and killing star are mixed, if they meet the Heavenly Virtue and Monthly Virtue, they can result in a long life and high status. If the Flying Blade and Hidden Blade are combined with the Yang Blade, there are many misfortunes. When the Wounding Official meets the Official Star, the official star is lost, leading to calamity.

陽刃若逢印綬，縱貴，有病疾在身。七殺並制，逢官為禍，而壽元不長。三偏三正，貴居一品之尊。四柱四合，福坐眾人之上。

The Yang Blade, if encountering the印綬 (seal), will give birth to it, even if one becomes prominent, there will be illness on the body. The seven killers have already been restrained, if another official star appears, it will bring disaster, and the lifespan will not be long. When the three biased and three upright elements are properly matched, one will hold a high position of prime minister rank. If all four pillars have compatible elements, one's fortune will be superior to others.

殺化為印，早擢登科。財旺生官，少年承業。官殺同來，要知扶官扶殺。偏正會合，須知合正合偏。

When the seven杀 is transformed into an印, one will achieve success and pass the exams early. When wealth is strong and generates official position, one will inherit the family business in youth. When official position and seven杀 arrive together, one must determine whether to support the official position or the seven杀. When the偏 and 正 come together, one must also determine whether it is the 正 that is combined or the 偏 that is combined.

福祿若逢陽刃，世事不明。金神運入水鄉，身衰夭折。暗中藏殺，須憑月下刑神。見處無財，必受空中禍患。

When fortune and rank meet the Yang Blade, people become confused about worldly matters. When the metal spirit's period enters the water region, the body weakens and death occurs early. Those who secretly contain the seven killers must reveal them through the criminal god under the month's influence. If there is no wealth visible, one will suffer from sudden misfortunes.

陽刃兼會七殺，千里徒流。用財若遇劫奪，一生貧困。

The Yang Blade also combines with the Seven Killers, leading to exile a thousand miles away. When seeking wealth as a basis but encountering robbery and theft, one will live a life of poverty all along.

人生前定，窮富已明，如要識其消長，亦多究其始終；或有前貧後富、或有驟發卒傾、或有白屋之公卿、或有朱門之餓殍、或一生長樂、或一生失所，當視流運之源，要察行年之位。

Human life is originally predetermined, with poverty and wealth clearly defined. If one wishes to understand the fluctuations and changes, one must investigate its beginning and end. Some start poor and later become wealthy, while others suddenly prosper and then suddenly fall. Some are born in humble dwellings yet rise to high official positions, while others are born into wealthy families yet die from starvation by the roadside. Some enjoy lifelong comfort, while others live a life of hardship and displacement. All of these must be examined by looking into the source of great destiny changes and by observing the position of the current year's flow.

身弱徒然入格，縱發早亡。福轉若遇休囚，卒發傾夭。

A person with a weak constitution, even if they enter the proper pattern, is in vain; although they may achieve temporary success, they will die young. When good fortune is about to turn prosperous, but encounters weakness and confinement, even if it suddenly arises, it will soon collapse and lead to an early death.

是以，用神不可妄求，形蹤自然發見，有福必當用彼，無時必是用身，禍患在於五行，福崇在於運氣；福源人所同具，如或傷終困此中。消息陰陽，在我通明理智，榮辱兩端，媸妍一斷。自古相傳，非賢勿授。

Therefore, the Useful God should not be sought carelessly; its manifestations will appear naturally: if there is a beneficial deity available, one should use that beneficial deity; if the beneficial deity is not timely, one must use the self of the day's ruler instead. Misfortune arises from the imbalance of the Five Phases, while prosperity comes from the support of favorable energies. The source of blessings is inherent in everyone, but once it is harmed, one will ultimately be trapped within it. Considering the changes of yin and yang depends entirely on my own understanding and clarity; the distinction between honor and disgrace, beauty and ugliness, becomes clear once decided. This system of knowledge has been passed down since ancient times; it should not be given to those who are not virtuous.

魁罡歲駕五經名，甲旺提綱榜眼清；火明木秀從魁印，金白水清甲第新。

When the Qiu Gang (a type of celestial stem) is combined with the Tai Sui (sovereign star), the person is knowledgeable in the Five Classics and achieves fame. If the Jia wood is strong in the month's stem, the person will pass the imperial examination with distinction and enjoy a noble status. If the fire is bright and the wood is flourishing, and the metal of You (a branch) acts as a seal (a type of official position), or if the metal is white and the water is clear, these all indicate success in the imperial examination.

重疊玉堂登紫閣，調和木火貫黃金；木生春令逢傷食，甲宿文場義理深。

The prestige of the Jade Hall is layered and accumulated, ascending to the high position of the Purple Pavilion. When wood and fire are in harmony and infused with the golden energy, they also achieve prominence. If wood is born in spring and meets the泄气 (exhaustion of energy) of the official star and food god, the Jia wood will be in the literary field, with profound principles and meanings.

財印兩輕官殺足，甲第連科一舉成；根苗天乙俱榜眼，為魁木火定解英。

Wealth and official seal are both light, but if there is an abundance of official killing, then the person will achieve success in the imperial examination with ease. If both the year and the month are rooted in the heavenly stem and earthly branch, and both carry the Tianyi Nobleman, then the person will be selected as the second place in the examination. Those who win the top prize are mostly people with clear wood and fire elements, and they are certainly outstanding talents who win the first place.

相涵金水親黃榜，遞互丙丁侍紫宸；金水秋氣炎方取，魁星官殺貴分明。

When gold and water nourish each other, the person will be listed on the imperial examination list. When Bing and Ding alternate and appear together, the person will stand in attendance before the Purple Chamber. When gold and water are born in autumn and Southern fire is used to balance the climate, the person will have the Qiu Star and official killer in harmony, clearly indicating noble status.

殺重身輕休道弱，如逢印綬作魁星；誰知識此分高下，熟記猶如徐子平。

When the seven deadly stars are strong and the day master is weak, do not hastily conclude that the day master is weak; if the official star comes to transform the deadly star and nourish the day master, it can still achieve the status of a distinguished scholar and pass the examination. Who can recognize the distinction here? Remember it well, as if having truly inherited Xu Ziping's teachings.

先天何處，後天何處，要知來處，便知去處；四柱排定，三才次分，年干為本，配合元辰；神煞相絆，輕重較量，先觀月令，論格推詳；以日為主，專論財官，分其貴賤，妙法多端；獨則易取，亂則難明，去留舒配，論格要精。

Where does the Earlier Heaven come from, and where does the Later Heaven go? If we know the origin, we also know the destination. After the four pillars are arranged, the three elements of heaven, earth, and humanity are separated in order; the heavenly stem of the year serves as the foundation, matching with the original destiny. The deities and omens are interconnected, so we need to compare their importance; first examine the month's stem, use it to determine the pattern and carefully analyze further. Taking the day stem as the main focus, we specialize in discussing wealth and official positions, distinguishing between high and low status, with many subtle methods involved. When the useful god is singular, it is easy to select; but when the matters are complicated, it becomes difficult to understand. We need to determine what to remove, what to retain, and how to coordinate properly, and during pattern analysis, the most important thing is to be precise.

日主高強，月提得令；用財為物，表實為正。年根為主，月令為中；日生百刻，時旺時空。干與支同，損財傷妻。身支年同，破蕩祖基。

When the day stem is strong and the month ruler is also supported by the hour, wealth is considered a useful element, and both internal and external aspects must be full to be considered proper. The year pillar is the foundation, and the month ruler is in the center; a day has a hundred parts, and the hour has periods of strength and emptiness. When the heavenly stem and the earthy branch it sits on belong to the same element, it causes loss of wealth and harm to the wife. If the day branch and the year branch are the same, it indicates the destruction of the family's foundation.

月令見祿，不住祖屋；一見財官，自然發福。用火愁水，用木愁金；輕重能分，禍福自真。五行生旺，不怕休囚；東南西北，數盡方休。

When the month ruler shows a strong position, it indicates whether one can stay in the ancestral house. As long as wealth and official positions are present, prosperity naturally follows. Those who use fire as their main element worry about encountering water, while those who use wood as their main element worry about encountering metal. If one can distinguish between light and heavy elements, then fortune and misfortune can be accurately judged. The Five Phases only need to be in a state of growth and vitality, not afraid of temporary weakness. The fortunes of the four directions must be fully experienced before they are complete.

寅申巳亥，四生之局；用物身強，遇之發福。辰戌丑未，四墓之局；人元三用，透旺為真。子午卯酉，四敗之局；男犯興衰，女犯孤獨。進氣退氣，命物相爭；進氣不死，退氣不生。

The four long life positions are寅, 申, 巳, and 亥; if the day ruler and the used element are strong, encountering these positions brings good fortune. The four storage positions are 辰, 戌, 丑, and 未; the three kinds of heavenly stems hidden in the storage are available, and the one that is revealed and in the旺 position is considered true. The four bathing and decline positions are 子, 午, 卯, and 酉; for a male fate, encountering these leads to uncertain rise and fall, while for a female fate, it indicates loneliness. Qi advances and retreats, and the fate and the used element contend with each other; the advancing qi god, though seemingly dead, is not truly dead, and the retreating qi god, though seemingly alive, is not truly alive.

財官臨庫，不沖不發。四柱干支，喜行相合。提綱有用，最怕刑沖；沖運則緩，沖用則凶。三奇透露，日主專強；其根有用，福祿榮昌。

When wealth and official stars are in the repository, they will not manifest without being disturbed. The stem and branch of the four pillars prefer to be harmonized by the big luck. If the useful god is present in the month's main element, it is most feared to be disturbed. Disturbing the big luck is less severe, but disturbing the useful god is very dangerous. If the three marvels are revealed and the day's ruler is strong and concentrated, as long as its root is still useful, prosperity and honor will be achieved.

十干化神，有影無形；無中生有，福祿難憑。十惡大敗，格中大忌；若遇財官，反成富貴。格格推詳，以殺為重；化殺為權，何愁損用。殺不離印，印不離殺；殺印相生，功名顯達。

The spirits generated by the Heavenly Stems through transformation have a shadowy form but no tangible shape; they are things arising from nothing, making it difficult to rely on them for fortune and status. "Shi'e Dabai" is a major concern in a pattern; however, if one encounters wealth and official positions, it can lead to great success and wealth. Each pattern should be carefully examined, with the seven deadly spirits being the most critical. If the deadly spirits can be transformed into authority, then there is no need to worry about damaging the useful god. The deadly spirits cannot exist without the seal, and the seal cannot exist without the deadly spirits; when the deadly spirits and the seal mutually generate each other, fame and official rank will become prominent.

官殺重逢，制伏有功；如行帝旺（陽刃），遇之不凶。時殺無根，殺旺取貴。時殺多根，殺旺不利。八月官星（甲木見酉為官），大忌卯丁；卯丁剋破，有情無情。

Officials and killers meeting repeatedly are not harmful as long as they are properly controlled, and if they meet in the Prosperity or Yang Blade position, it is not ominous. For a seven killer at the hour position without root, traveling in the旺 of killer is favorable for gaining status. However, for a seven killer at the hour position with many roots, traveling in the旺 of killer is not favorable. For officials born in August, such as Jia wood meeting You metal as official, it is most unfavorable to meet Mao and Ding. Mao conflicts with You, and Ding controls metal; once controlled and destroyed, what was originally harmonious becomes discordant.

印綬根輕，旺中顯達。印綬根深，旺中不發。印綬比肩，喜行財鄉。印無比肩，忌見財傷。先財後印，反成其福。先印後財，反成其辱。

Those with a light root for official seal (印綬) may achieve success when they reach a prosperous place. Those with a strong root for official seal may not achieve success even when they reach a prosperous place. If official seal is accompanied by a rival (比肩), it is favorable to travel to a place of wealth (财乡) to reduce the excess official seal. 財官印綬，大忌比肩；傷官七殺，反助為權。傷官用財，死宮有子。傷官無財，子宮有死。時上偏財，怕逢兄弟。月印逢財，比肩不忌。

A person born on a day with the heavenly stem Geng (metal) and the time stem Jiashen (horse) has the heavenly stem revealing wealth and the earthly branch indicating a return of fortune. The pattern "Rén Qí Lóng Bèi" (Rén riding a dragon's back) loses its effect when the branch Xu (dog) appears. If there are many branches Yin (ox) in the earthly branches, it indicates wealth; if there are many branches Chen (dragon), it indicates honor. When autumn gold is born on the午 (Wu) position, with two Geng (庚) stems in the heavenly stem and the presence of Bing (丙) fire, going to the Chou (丑) position will harm the relationship, but encountering the Li (离) position, which is a fire place, brings favorable circumstances. When Geng (庚) metal is seated on Wu (午) or Xin (辛) metal is born in Wei (未), and the heavenly stem reveals the killer (killers), with the body and killer balanced, being born in winter is most valuable. Xin metal meets fire in the Li position; as long as the heavenly stem reveals earth to mediate, there is nothing to worry about; if there is no earth and the fire directly harms the body, the lifespan cannot be preserved. If the month stem is in Chen, Xu, Chou, or Wei, and the day stem is Geng or Xin, why worry about the day stem being weak? When it reaches a prosperous position, it can achieve fame. Xin, the yin metal, meets fire and sees earth, which becomes a burden; Geng, the yang metal, meets fire, but if the heavenly stem reveals earth to mediate, it can achieve fame.

壬生午位，祿馬同鄉；重重遇火，格局高強。（玄武當權格）壬癸多金，生於酉申；土旺則貴，火旺則貧。癸向巳宮，財官拘印；運至南方，利名必振。（玄武當權格）癸日己亥，殺財透露；地合傷官，有勞無富。

Nin water is born in the position of Wu, where the wealth from Ding and the official position from Ji are in the same palace, called 'Lushama Tongxiang'; if it is further supported by fire, the pattern becomes strong, which is called 'Xuanwu Dangquan Ge'. For壬 and癸 water, if there is a lot of metal and they are born in the month of You or Shen, then if the earth is strong, they will be wealthy, but if fire is strong, they will be poor. If癸 water faces the Si palace, where the wealth and official position are restrained by the seal, then when the destiny reaches the southern direction, fame and fortune will flourish, which is also called 'Xuanwu Dangquan Ge'. On a day born in the month of Shen with the heavenly stem Gui, and with the year and hour stems being Mao and Yin respectively, if the year stem carries the seven killing stars and the month stem carries the劫财, the person will live in solitude and experience a lonely and bleak life. For a day stem of Gui with the heavenly stem being Ji, this is a case of heavy confrontation between the Yin earth and the killing stars. As long as there is no official star to mix in, fame and fortune will certainly be achieved. The pattern of the official star is most disliked for women; however, if it is accompanied by the seal or wealth stars, it can lead to wealth and honor. If there are many seven killing stars but they are controlled, the woman will certainly be of high status.

When the official star is too strong, it leads to disorder, excess, and licentiousness. If the official star is accompanied by Taohua, then one may boast of wealth and honor. Those with the "Qu Zhi" pattern born in the month of Chou (Ox) have the seal and plenty of metal. Those with days of Ren and Gui born in the month of Chou (Ox) have thick earth and plenty of metal.
