To determine the return date of someone who is away: use the person's birth stem and branch combined with the stem and branch in the current chart to represent the traveler; use the branch of the zodiac that corresponds to their current position to represent their home, and observe whether it is to the left or right to determine the speed of their return, while the specific day is determined by the distance of the journey.

占遠信：以丁為信，時干內外為遲速，外遲內速，如人在北方，占南方信息，一宮得景門者，信到。占在外慮家中安否：以日干為主，時干長生處為家，如甲木長生在亥之類，亥屬乾宮，無凶，為平安。占回鄉：以本人年命占時入局中，人已在外方，占時其年命已落內界，未回以干支定其日期。

Divination about letters from afar: Use Ding to represent the letter. Determine the speed of arrival by whether the time stem falls within the inner palace or the outer palace. If it falls in the outer palace, the letter arrives slowly; if it falls in the inner palace, the letter arrives quickly. For example, if a person is in the north and divines about news from the south, and the Kan one palace has the Jing Gate, the letter will arrive. Divination about someone who is away from home and worries about the safety of their family: Use the day stem as the main subject, and the long life position of the time stem to represent the family. For example, if Jia wood's long life is in Hai, and Hai belongs to the Qian palace, if that palace has no ominous signs, the family is safe. Divination about returning home: Place the person's birth stem and branch into the divination chart according to the time of divination. If the person is already away, and at the time of divination their birth stem and branch have already fallen into the inner palace, it indicates they will return soon. If they have not returned yet, use the stem and branch to determine the return date.

占在外人安否：以外宮上下二盤得三奇吉門及諸吉格者安，反此不安。占未出門先定歸期：以出行日干長生之方定之，若甲乙日出行，須看乾方地盤所在之干為歸家之期。占出行經商地方吉否：以其所往之方得三奇吉格生年命日干落宮者為上吉。

To determine if someone away is safe, check whether the outer palace's Heaven and Earth plates have the Three Marvels, auspicious gates, and various good combinations. If they do, the person is safe; otherwise, they are not. To predict the return date before departure, use the long life direction of the day stem on the day of departure. For example, if departing on a Jia or Yi day, Jia wood's long life is in Hai, which belongs to the Qian palace. Then check the heavenly stem of the Earth plate in the Qian palace to determine the return date. To determine if the place of travel is auspicious, check if the direction being traveled to has the Three Marvels and good combinations, and if it can generate and assist the stem of the current year and the day stem's palace. If so, it is extremely auspicious.

占行人何日歸來：端以庚格決之，以本人年命落於何宮，即在何方。落內者近，外者遠。占登舟船主善惡：以震宮為船，所得星為船主之善惡，以九星吉凶決之。占道途吉凶：以時干所落之宮得蓬為盜賊，如蓬不遇，再時干所加本宮得三奇吉門旺相諸吉格，不妨。

To determine the day a traveler will return, use the "Geng Ge" method. Look at the person's birth stem and determine which palace it falls into. The person is located in the corresponding direction. If the stem falls within the inner palace, the journey is short; if it falls in the outer palace, the journey is long. To determine the virtue or wickedness of the boat owner when divining about boat travel, use the Zhen palace to represent the boat. Check which star is in the Zhen palace; according to the fortune or misfortune of the nine stars, determine whether the boat owner is good or bad. To determine the fortune or misfortune of the journey, look at the heavenly stem of the hour and the palace it falls into. If the "Tianpeng" star is present, it indicates thieves. If the "Tianpeng" star is not present, and the palace where the heavenly stem falls has the Three Marvels, good gates, prosperity and strength, and various good patterns, then there is no problem.

占謀害：庚為仇人，甲為己身，生克決其有無謀害。占行路遇人同往善惡：以時干為己身，看上得何星臨之，以九星吉凶決其善惡，休旺定其吉凶。占出行水陸吉凶：以休門、景門所乘之宮分水、旱二路，二門落宮、天地二盤得奇儀吉格相乘為吉。

To determine if there is a plot against someone: use Geng to represent the enemy and Jia to represent oneself. Determine if there is a plot by examining the relationship of generation and overcoming between the two. To determine the good or bad nature of people accompanying someone on a journey: use the heavenly stem of the hour to represent oneself, and look at which of the nine stars is present above it. Use the auspicious or inauspicious nature of the nine stars to determine if the companion is good or bad. Then use the state of prosperity, strength, weakness, or confinement to determine the outcome. To determine the auspiciousness of traveling by water or land: use the Xiu Men and Jing Gate, which represent water and land respectively. Examine the palace where each gate falls, and whether the heaven and earth disks have auspicious combinations with the odd instruments. If they do, it is auspicious.

占人在外不知何方：以行人年干決之，本人年干落於何宮即何方，落內者近，外者遠。占久出存亡：以年命落宮定之，以乘旺帶奇吉者，平安；休囚為困苦；空亡為其人不在，仿此。占久出外信虛實：以景門、朱雀決之。景門為文書之神，朱雀為口舌信息之神，得奇吉者實。

When divining the location of a person who is away but unknown which direction: use the person's birth stem to determine. If the person's birth stem falls in a particular palace, the person is in that direction. If it falls in the inner palace, the distance is near; if it falls in the outer palace, the distance is far. When divining the safety or death of someone who has been away for a long time and has not returned: use the palace where the person's birth stem falls. If the stem is in its旺 phase and accompanied by the Three Marvels and auspicious stars, the person is safe. If it falls in a weak and confined position, the person is in a difficult situation. If it falls in the empty palace, it indicates the person is no longer alive. Other situations are judged in the same way. When divining the truth of a message received from someone who is away: use the Jing Gate and the Vermilion Bird. The Jing Gate is the god of documents, and the Vermilion Bird is the god of speech and messages. If both have the auspicious signs of the Three Marvels, the message is true.

占求財：以生門落宮再看上下二盤格局，吉格吉星所求皆遂意，一有不吉，求半；休囚，無。又法，以本人年命日干落宮並所往之方，合而決之。又法，以日干、時干落宮與生門落宮合而決之。占貿易：以生門落宮旺相得三奇吉格，主買賣興旺，不全者，平常，休囚更凶，凶格大不利。又法，以甲子戊為資本，生門為利息，以所落之宮吉凶生克決之。

Divination for seeking wealth: examine the palace where the Life Gate falls, and then look at the configuration formed by the Heaven and Earth disks. If it is a favorable configuration with auspicious stars, all desired outcomes can be achieved. If there is even one unfavorable element, only half of the desired outcome can be obtained. If it falls in a weak and confined position, nothing can be obtained. Another method: combine the palace where the person's birth year stem and day stem fall with the direction they are going to. Another method: combine the palace where the day stem and hour stem fall with the palace where the Life Gate falls. Divination for business dealings: if the Life Gate falls in a prosperous and strong palace and also has the Three Marvels favorable configuration, business will be thriving. If the conditions are not fully met, business will be ordinary. If it falls in a weak and confined position, it will be even worse. If it forms aInauspicious Pattern (fateful configuration), it will be very unfavorable. Another method: use Jiazi Wu to represent capital, the Life Gate to represent interest, and judge based on the auspiciousness, birth, and mutual relationship of the palaces where they fall.

占合夥：以地盤生門為財，主天盤落宮，生門為夥計，以生克決之。占交易：以直符為買物之人，生門為所買之物，生門落宮為物主，各以生克決之。占索債：以傷門為討債之人，天乙為欠債之人，以生克決之。又法以天乙落宮為討債之人，以勾陳所乘之宮為欠債之人，以生克決之。占放債：以直符為財主，天乙為取財之人，生門為財神，以生克旺相論之。

Use the interactions between these elements to determine the outcome. Divination for debt collection: Use the Shang Men to represent the person collecting the debt, and the Heavenly Ethical General to represent the debtor. Use the interactions between these elements to determine the outcome. Another method: Use the sector where the Heavenly Ethical General falls to represent the person collecting the debt, and the sector where the Gou Chen is multiplied to represent the debtor. Use the interactions between these elements to determine the outcome. Divination for lending money: Use the Chief Symbol to represent the creditor providing the money, the Heavenly Ethical General to represent the person borrowing money, and the Life Gate to represent the god of wealth. Use the interactions and prosperity of these elements to determine the outcome.

占稱貸：以直符為物主，天乙為稱貸之人，各以所落宮生克決之。又法，以所往之方，天盤所得之星為求借之人，以天盤所落地盤之宮為借貸之家，以克生決之。占得財：以地盤時干在內地上得奇，休生三門天盤甲午戊亦在內地會開門，此財速，不會遲。又法，以甲子戊為財神，生門為財方，看落於何方，以二宮生克驗其得失。

Divination on lending and borrowing: The "Chief Symbol" represents the owner of the item, and "Heavenly Ethical Star" represents the person borrowing. Determine the outcome by the generating and overcoming relationships between the respective palace where each falls. Another method: take the direction of the action, use the star obtained from the Heaven Plate to represent the person borrowing, and the palace of the Earth Plate where the Heaven Plate falls to represent the lender's house. Determine the outcome by the generating and overcoming relationships. Divination on whether wealth can be obtained: If the time dry branch of the Earth Plate is within the inner palace and the Three Marvels are above, and the three auspicious gates—Xiu Men, Sheng Men, and Kai Men—along with the Heaven Plate's Jiawu and Wu are also within the inner palace, and the Kai Men is open, then wealth comes quickly. If they do not meet, then wealth comes slowly. Another method: use Jiazi and Wu to represent the wealth god, and Sheng Men to represent the direction of obtaining wealth. See where it falls, and verify whether wealth is gained or lost by the generating and overcoming relationships between the two palaces.

占脫貨：以日干落宮為貨主，時干落宮為貨物，甲子戊落宮為資本，生門落宮為利息，生克決之。又法，以日干落宮為收買貨物之人，以時干落宮為貨物，以吉凶生克決之。占買房屋：以直符為買主，生門為住宅，死門為地土，以生死得奇吉格吉凶斷之。占交易開張益否：以開門為店鋪，以生門為本利，以日干為開設之人，以奇吉生克吉凶決之。

Divination for selling goods: Use the palace where the day stem falls to represent the seller, the palace where the hour stem falls to represent the goods, the palace where Jiazi and Wu fall to represent the capital, and the palace where the Life Gate falls to represent the interest. Determine the outcome by looking at the relationships of generation and overcoming. Another method: Use the palace where the day stem falls to represent the person buying the goods, and the palace where the hour stem falls to represent the goods. Determine the fortune by looking at the auspiciousness and relationships of generation and overcoming. Divination for buying a house: Use the Chief Symbol to represent the buyer, the Life Gate to represent the house, and the Death Door to represent the land. Check if the Life Gate and Death Door have the Three Marvels and auspicious patterns, and use this to determine fortune. Divination for opening a business to see if it is profitable: Use the Open Door to represent the shop, the Life Gate to represent the capital and profit, and the day stem to represent the person opening the business. Determine the outcome by looking at the relationships of generation and overcoming among the Three Marvels and auspicious gates.

占謁貴求財有益否：以現任官開門為主，未任官天盤甲子戊主之，以日干為求謁之人。占揭借財物得否：以直符落宮為財主，以日干落宮為揭借之人，以吉凶生克年命日干落宮決之。占合夥求財：以日干落宮為我，時干落宮為夥計，以生克決之。

To divinate whether seeking an audience with a nobleman to seek wealth is beneficial: if the person is currently in office, use the Open Door; if not yet in office, use the Heaven Plate's Jiazi Wu. Also, use the Day Stem to represent the person going to seek the nobleman, and examine the relationship of generation and overcoming between them. To divinate whether a loan can be obtained: use the palace where the Chief Symbol falls to represent the lender, and the palace where the Day Stem falls to represent the borrower, judging based on auspiciousness and inauspiciousness, generation and overcoming, as well as the person's own birth year stem, and the palace where the Day Stem falls. To divinate about partnership in seeking wealth: use the palace where the Day Stem falls to represent oneself, and the palace where the Hour Stem falls to represent the partner, judging based on generation and overcoming.

占訪人：以所往之方地盤為主，天盤為客，生合得奇吉者，遇合則見，遇格則拒。占約期至與不至：以年為尊長，月為同類，時為後輩，日為己身，直符在前者先至，直符後者後至，相生相比者至，相剋不至，伏吟陽星不至。占遠人來何事：以直符為主，天乙為遠人，各以落宮相生者，無關係，克則有事。

Divination for visiting someone: take the earthly branch of the direction they have left as the main aspect, and the heavenly plate as the guest aspect; if they are mutually generating or harmonious and also have the three marvels, encountering 'he' (union) means they will be seen, while encountering 'ge' (pattern) means they will be rejected. Divination for whether someone will come on a scheduled date: use the year stem to represent elders, the month stem for peers, the hour stem for younger people, and the day stem for oneself; if the chief symbol is ahead, they arrive first, and if it is behind, they arrive later; if they are mutually generating or harmonious, they will come, but if they are mutually controlling, they will not come; if there is a hidden chant and it is a yang star, they will not come either. Divination for the purpose of a visitor coming from afar: take the chief symbol as the main aspect, and the heavenly virtue as representing the distant visitor; if the two fall in mutually generating aspects, their purpose has nothing to do with you; if they are mutually controlling, then they have something to discuss.

佔有人來訪宜見否：以來人所來之方天盤星為來人，為客，或以來人所乘之時干為客，以地盤所在之星為主為我。占我訪人見否：以天盤所往之方為我，地盤之星為他，比和可見，以生克決之。占請客來否：以直符為客，天乙為主，生克決之。占人請是否好意：以其來方之門星宮合而推之，以其方地盤之門星宮乘吉奇為好意。

To determine if one should meet a visitor: the star on the Heaven Plate corresponding to the direction from which the visitor comes represents the visitor (as a guest), while the heavenly stem of the time the visitor arrives represents the guest side. The star on the Earth Plate at the location represents the host (i.e., me). If these two are harmonious, they can meet; otherwise, use generation and overcoming to judge. To determine if I can meet someone visiting me: the direction on the Heaven Plate I am going to represents me, and the star on the Earth Plate at the location represents the other person. If these two are harmonious, I can meet them; otherwise, use generation and overcoming to judge. To determine if the guest will come to a banquet: the "Chief Symbol" represents the guest, and "Heavenly Ethical" represents the host. Use generation and overcoming to judge. To determine if an invitation from someone is sincere: combine the gate, star, and palace of the direction from which the person comes. If the gate, star, and palace of that direction on the Earth Plate are accompanied by the Three Marvels, it indicates a sincere intention.

占失物：以時干為失主，八門物類為逃亡之物，以旺相休囚並八神四格決之。占人走失：小兒走失，陽日看天盤六合落宮，陰日看地盤六合所在之宮，在天盤，內四宮近，外四宮遠，奴僕專以天蓬星主之，落於坤宮，歸於父母之家，以空亡墓庫為難尋，婢妾以天盤太陰主之，或以天芮落宮決之。

Divination for lost items: Use the heavenly stem to represent the owner, and the eight gates to represent the type of lost item. Determine the result by combining the prosperous and strong, weak and confined states, along with the eight gods and four positions. For lost people: If a child is missing, on a yang day look at the 'Liu He' on the heaven plate, and on a yin day look at the 'Liu He' on the earth plate. If it is on the heaven plate, if it falls within the inner four gates, the person is nearby; if it falls within the outer four gates, the person is far away. For lost servants, focus on the 'Tian Peng' star. If 'Tian Peng' falls in the Kun gate, the servant has returned home. If it falls in the empty or storage position, it is difficult to find. For lost servants or concubines, focus on the 'Tai Yin' on the heaven plate, or the position where the 'Tian Rui' star falls.

占走失六畜：走失騾馬船車以傷門主之，天沖主之必根尋傷門落於何宮何方，即往何方尋之。牛羊以坤宮死門主之，若死門隱於何宮，即在何方，芮星宮亦可。馬匹端以乾宮所得之神決之，看天盤天蓬之星在何方，即以何方尋之。

Divination for lost livestock, vehicles, and boats: For lost donkeys and horses, or boats and vehicles, the main focus is on the Shang Men and the Tian Chong star. One must determine where the Shang Men falls in the palace and direction, and search in that direction. For lost cattle and sheep, the main focus is on the Kun Palace and the Death Door; if the Death Door is hidden in a particular palace, then the cattle and sheep are in that direction. The Tian Rui star's position can also be used for reference. For lost horses, the judgment is based solely on the God of the乾 Palace; then check the direction of the Tian Peng star on the Heaven Plate, and search in that direction.

占何人為盜：以天蓬為盜，陽日看天盤元武，陰日看天盤元武，再以八卦九星類其人以決之。占被盜之物藏於何處：以盜之去方為藏物之處，謂其相合而然也，看九星乘元定所盜之物藏匿之方。占捕賊：以勾陳為捕盜之人，以蓬為大盜，以元武為小賊，以杜門為捕盜之方，各以所乘之落宮，生克決之。占失財：以八門九星之類落官見元武有人盜去，不見元武，自己遺失，以生克空亡內外宮決之。

To determine who the thief is: use the 'Tianpeng' star to represent the thief. On a yang day, look at the 'Yuanwu' on the Heaven Plate; on a yin day, also look at the 'Yuanwu' on the Heaven Plate. Then compare according to the categories of the Eight Trigrams and the Nine Stars to determine the identity of the thief. To determine where the stolen item is hidden: the direction the thief fled is where the stolen item is hidden, because the two are inherently connected. Then look at which of the Nine Stars is riding on the 'Yuanwu' to determine the direction where the stolen item is hidden. To determine capturing the thief: use 'Gouchen' to represent the officer capturing the thief, 'Tianpeng' to represent the big thief, and 'Yuanwu' to represent the small thief. 'Dumen' represents the direction of capturing the thief. Each of these elements is judged based on the generation and overcoming relationships in the palace they fall into. To determine losing wealth: look at the categories of the Eight Doors and Nine Stars that fall into which palace. If 'Yuanwu' is present, it means the wealth was stolen by someone else; if 'Yuanwu' is not present, it means the wealth was lost by oneself. Then use generation and overcoming, empty and void, and internal and external palaces to determine further.

占家宅興旺：以生門之落宮並本日長生之宮合而參之，生克旺相決其興隆。占分居：以本局中支干推之，分別內外，以年父母、月兄弟、日己身、時子孫，如居兩宮，為分居，一處，不分，俱以宮分干支照年月定日期以旺相休囚，決其吉凶。占遷移：以方上有三奇吉門，再得三奇四季月皆吉，以九星吉凶定之。

To determine if a family's residence is prosperous, combine the palace where the Life Gate falls with the palace where the Day Stem's Growth is located. Use the principles of generation and overcoming, along with the state of prosperity and strength, to judge whether the family will thrive. For predicting a family division, use the stems and branches within the current chart. Distinguish between the inner and outer palaces. The year stem represents parents, the month stem represents brothers, the day stem represents oneself, and the hour stem represents children. If each occupies different palaces, it indicates living apart; if they are in the same palace, they will not live apart. Determine the date by comparing the stems and branches of each palace with the year and month. Then use the state of prosperity, strength, weakness, and confinement to judge the fortune. For predicting a move, if the direction of the new residence contains the Three Marvels and favorable gates, and if the Three Marvels are in charge, then all four seasons and months are favorable. However, the specific fortune should also be determined by the auspiciousness or inauspiciousness of the Nine Stars.

占謀館有無：以天輔為師長，為求館之人，以天芮為東主，以生克決之。占官幕：以輔星為求幕之人，以甲子戊為官長，開門亦為官長，以生克決之。占求薦：以甲子為求薦之人，以天乙為推薦之人，生克決之。占差遣：專以開門之星決之，看應差之人何年干、日干為開門，所沖者，去；不沖者，不去。

To determine if one can secure a teaching position: use the 'Tian Fu' star to represent the teacher or the person seeking the position, and the 'Tian Rui' star to represent the employer. The relationship of generation and overcoming between these two stars is used to judge. To determine if one can be appointed as an official clerk: use the 'Tian Fu' star to represent the person seeking the position, and the Jiazi Wu to represent the official superior, as well as the 'Kai Men' which also represents the official superior. The relationship of generation and overcoming is used to judge. To determine if one can be recommended by someone: use Jiazi to represent the person seeking recommendation, and 'Tian Yi' to represent the person recommending him. The relationship of generation and overcoming is used to judge. To determine if one is sent on an official assignment: use the star associated with 'Kai Men' to judge. Look at the relationship between the person's birth year stem or day stem and the star of 'Kai Men'. If they are in conflict, the person will be sent away; if not, they will not be sent.

占退役：以開門為官長，以日干為退役，生克決之。占應役：以開門為官長，日干為應役之人，以生克旺相決之。又法，以直使為己身，以生克休囚斷之。占投主：以甲子戊落宮為本人日干落宮決之，以甲子戊生者宜投。占卸事能否：以日干落宮為卸事之人，時干落宮為所卸之事，比者，不能卸，生克決之。

Divination for leaving a duty post: Use 'Opening Door' to represent the official, and the day stem to represent the person wishing to leave the duty. Determine the outcome through the relationship of generation and overcoming. Divination for being conscripted: Use 'Opening Door' to represent the official, and the day stem to represent the person being conscripted. Determine the outcome through the relationship of generation and overcoming, along with the state of prosperity and strength. Another method: Use 'Duty Gate' to represent oneself, and determine the outcome through the relationship of generation and overcoming, along with the state of being weak and confined. Divination for seeking to rely on a master: Combine the palace where Jiazi Wu falls with the palace where the day stem falls. If Jiazi Wu generates me, it is favorable to go and rely on the master. Divination for whether one can remove a duty: Use the palace where the day stem falls to represent the person wishing to remove the duty, and the palace where the hour stem falls to represent the duty. If they are like and harmonious, the duty cannot be removed. For others, determine the outcome through the relationship of generation and overcoming.

占領文遲速：丁為文件，與直符相生速，克則遲。丁在何宮相生即以本宮干支定其日期。占官事緩急：以時干為己身，直符為官長，六丁為公文，直使為公差，以內外宮並生克決之。占給假：以直符為尊長，天乙為卑小，克者不准。

Divination on the speed of receiving official documents: use Ding to represent the documents. If Ding is in mutual generation with the Chief Symbol, the documents will be received quickly; if in mutual control, they will be delayed. Determine the date by the stem-branch of the palace where Ding is located and is in mutual generation with the Chief Symbol. Divination on the urgency of official matters: use the heavenly stem of the time to represent oneself, the Chief Symbol to represent the official, six Ding to represent the documents, and the Duty Gate to represent the messenger. Then check whether they are in the inner palace or outer palace and apply the principles of mutual generation and control to determine the outcome. Divination on whether a leave of absence is approved: use the Chief Symbol to represent the superior, and Tianyi to represent the subordinate. If the Chief Symbol controls Tianyi, the leave will not be approved.

占避難逃避方向：以杜門、丁己癸、六合、天上太沖及生門所臨之方，又生本時干，則吉，再有三奇吉星，大吉，反此不利。占立窯：以景門主之，生年命日干者，吉。占得吉地否：專以死門與日干落宮合而決之。占墳墓：以死門為天地兩盤之墓以決之，以死門落宮地盤之星為死，以死門落宮天盤之星為生者，生克決之。

To determine the direction to escape from danger: look at Du Men, the three marvels (Ding, Ji, Gui), Liu He, the Heaven Plate's Tai Chong, and the direction of the Life Gate. If these directions can support the current stem, it is favorable; if the three marvels and auspicious stars are among them, it is very favorable; otherwise, it is unfavorable. For determining the location to build a kiln or stove: it is governed by Jing Men. If Jing Men can support the stem of the current year or day, it is favorable. To determine if a favorable location can be obtained: specifically combine the Death Door with the palace where the day stem falls. For determining a burial site: use the Death Door to represent the burial positions of the Heaven and Earth Plates; use the star of the Earth Plate in the palace where the Death Door falls to represent the deceased, and the star of the Heaven Plate in the same palace to represent the living. Determine the favorable or unfavorable outcome based on the interaction between these two.

占晴以天英為主，占雨以天蓬為主，相生相剋以決有無，凡占晴須論符天朱蛇勾白之神與八門生景死杜輔禽英芮，並起元於火土局三奇日，位戊己當機陽星開必旺，凡占雨，須看地陰元白與八門之休驚開傷九星之蓬柱心沖，並起元於金水局，以奇入墓，庚辛壬癸當權陰星闔，必陰雨。

The Duty Gate represents the examination hall, and the odd symbols under the Earth Plate below the Duty Gate represent the list of successful candidates. The Day Stem represents the examiner. In all cases, the Chief Symbol is the main focus. Favorable outcomes are when there is mutual generation, while mutual control is unfavorable.

占財以時干為主，時干所克者為財星，若再直符本宮有六儀三奇入星宮門為財星，又有占時旺相之地主得財，否則不得，天蓬為財星，宜往北方求之，冬十分、春五分、夏三分、秋一分，其餘卦候遞推，開門為財，宜往西北方得貴人之財，休得富家之財，生得田土之財，傷得植物之財，杜得器皿之財，景得酒食之財，死得葬亡之財，驚得憂恐之財。

If the 'Open Door' is considered the wealth star, one should go to the northwest to seek wealth, which is the wealth of a nobleman. Wealth obtained through the 'Rest Gate' is from wealthy families. Wealth obtained through the 'Life Gate' is from land and property. Wealth obtained through the 'Injury Gate' is from plants. Wealth obtained through the 'Closure Gate' is from utensils. Wealth obtained through the 'Viewing Gate' is from food and drink. Wealth obtained through the 'Death Gate' is from funerals and burials. Wealth obtained through the 'Startle Gate' is from wealth gained through fear and anxiety.

占婚姻以直符為夫，直符之下地盤九星為媒妁，以直使為女，直使之下地盤八門為妝嫁，各以生克決之。占女之性情妍媸，直使加九星決之，遇旺則美，休囚則惡，加天蓬，旺主性柔慈愛貌白，休則奸狡形陋；加禽芮任，旺則厚重端方貌美，休則黃瘦拙；加沖輔，旺正直無私貌秀麗，休則髮枯性暴；加英，旺主性速明澈貌光潔，休則兇暴；加柱心，旺主果決貌白潔，休則性硬貌白。

If the odd instrument added to the duty gate can generate the heavenly stem, it indicates an easy recovery; if it is overcome by the heavenly stem, recovery will be difficult. If the heavenly stem overcomes the odd instrument, recovery will be quick; if the heavenly stem is overcome by the odd instrument, recovery will be slow.

占詞訟以時干為我，時干直符為中證，時干加門為聽訟之官，時干加地盤奇儀為彼，奇儀同宮九星為彼干證，要在五處驗其生克，以決勝負。占官事完結以絕日為主，各時干加門屬金則寅月日事絕之類，絕之例要論四時衰旺，旺則月論，衰則日論，伏吟主遲，反吟主反覆。占罪之輕重，以加八門為主，門生我無罪，門克我有罪，門生彼無罪，門克彼有罪，乘旺來克罪重，休囚者罪輕。

To predict when the case will conclude, use the 'day of extinction'; for example, if the gate added to the heavenly stem is metal, metal is extinct in the寅 (Tiger) month or day, so the case should conclude in the寅 month or day. Using the principle of extinction, one should also consider the seasonal strength and decline of the elements: if the element is strong, use the month; if weak, use the day. If there is a hidden chant, it indicates delay; if there is a reverse chant, it indicates fluctuation. To determine the severity of a crime, focus on the added gate: if the gate generates me, there is no crime; if the gate overcomes me, there is a crime; if the gate generates the opponent, the opponent has no crime; if the gate overcomes the opponent, the opponent has a crime. A crime committed by a strong element is more severe, while a crime committed by a weak and confined element is less severe.

占行人以時干為行人，以時干加八門為所往之方，以時干加地盤九星為來期，以直符為占事之人，又時干克門，主已動，時干生門有成，未成主未動，門克時干，此事不宜，已往他方，門生時干，有人勾引未動，時干克直符，不思歸家，直符克時干，主在半路，時上生直符立至，直符生時干，主將動身，伏吟不來，反吟已來。

If there is a hidden chant, the person will not return. If there is a return chant, the person has already returned.

占盜賊以時干為失主，以直使九星為逃人為賊人，九星同門為去向，直符捕盜之人，直使加奇儀為盜去之物，時干克直使加九星主易得，生則遲得，九星克時干主賊難得，生則賊自降，直符克九星主早捕，生則捕人相為助盜，九星克直符主難捕，生則捕人受賄。

If the Nine Star generates the Heavenly Stem, the thief may surrender on his own. If the Chief Symbol overcomes the Nine Star, it indicates that the thief can be captured soon. If the Chief Symbol generates the Nine Star, the officer may be assisting the thief. If the Nine Star overcomes the Chief Symbol, it suggests that the thief is difficult to capture. If the Nine Star generates the Chief Symbol, it indicates that the officer has been bribed.
