Yi is called "the daily oddity." When Yi falls into the Zhen palace, it is called "the sun rising from Fushang," indicating that Zhen is the place where Yi wood gains its fortune, and it also signifies the nobleman ascending to the hall, which is auspicious; some say this represents returning from the hall, leading to military success and harmony in all affairs. When Yi falls into the Dui palace, it is called "the white rabbit roaming the palace," also known as "the jade maiden concealing her power," meaning that good fortune comes after some delay, retreat ensures safety, and in military matters, both sides will suffer great defeat. When Yi falls into the Xun palace, it is called "the golden cock riding the wind," also known as "the jade maiden descending in divine form," indicating that all matters are auspicious and that in battle, victory is certain. When Yi falls into the Li palace, it is still called "the golden cock," as it is in the proper yang position, which is auspicious, and since Li is the place where Yi wood grows, all matters appear bright and prosperous.

When Yi falls into the Kan palace, it is called "Jin Wu Yin Quan" (the Golden Rooster Drinks Spring Water), indicating good fortune, and also called "Yu Nu Wang Xiang" (the Jade Maiden Thrives in Her Native Land), as the water of Kan nourishes the wood of Yi, which is the place where parents nurture their children, thus all affairs are prosperous and flourishing. When Yi falls into the Gen palace, it is called "Jin Wu Bu Qing Yun" (the Golden Rooster Steps into the Clear Sky), indicating good fortune, and also called "Yu Nu Sheng Tang" (the Jade Maiden Enters the Hall), which is the position of prosperity, thus all matters are peaceful and prosperous.

Jing fire falls into the Kun palace, called "Son lives in the mother's abdomen," indicating good fortune; the Kun earth is the palace of Jing fire's offspring, with power and virtue hidden and not revealed, benefiting all matters, though progress is slow.

When using the Ding Marvel, the Heaven Plate Ding falls again on the Earth Plate Ding, which is called "going out from the dark and entering the underworld." This person will not suffer punishment throughout their life, and even when facing danger, they remain calm. Ding is the "Jade Maiden," and among the Three Marvels, this star is the most effective. Whenever one needs to hide, flee, or disappear completely, they should enter and exit from the direction of the Heaven Plate's Ding. Others will not see them, hence it is called "going out from the dark and entering the underworld," which signifies good fortune. When Ding falls into the Dui Palace, it means the Heavenly Master Nobleman ascends to the Dingyou Hall, and it is also the direction of Ding fire's birth. The brilliance of fire spreads widely, there is no darkness, and everything is bright.

When Ding falls into the Xun trigram, it is called "The Lady of Beauty Approaching the Prosperity Position," and all matters will be smooth and prosperous. When Ding falls into the Li trigram, it signifies a bold spirit riding on a strong position, and it is also the native land of Ding fire, so all affairs will achieve fame and wealth. When Ding falls into the Kun trigram, it is called "The Lady of Beauty Wandering Through the Earth Gate," indicating good fortune, and any secret plans will surely succeed. When Ding falls into the Qian trigram, it is called "The Lady of Beauty Wandering Through the Heaven Gate," indicating good fortune, and the Three Marvels reaching here are of the highest importance, bringing natural blessings and benefits. When Ding falls into the Gen trigram, it is called "The Lady of Beauty Wandering Through the Ghost Gate," indicating bad fortune, and it is also entering a tomb, so at this time, remaining steadfast will bring no worries, and using ambush tactics is advisable. When Ding falls into the Kan trigram, it is called "The Vermilion Bird Diving into the River," indicating bad fortune, and if it coincides with Ren or Gui, the situation becomes even worse. Ten Stems Added to the Hour for Divination

The Heaven Plate's six Jia are based on the six Wu as the symbol head. If Wu is also placed on the Earth Plate's Wu, it is called "Hidden Chant," which indicates that affairs are blocked and difficult to proceed, and maintaining the old situation is considered auspicious. Another interpretation is called "Azure Dragon entering the earth," which is suitable for accumulating power and resting one's strength. When Wu is placed on Yi, it is called "Azure Dragon combining with spirit," and if the gate it faces is auspicious, the matter will be auspicious; if the gate is inauspicious, the matter will be inauspicious. Another interpretation is called "Azure Dragon entering the clouds," which is favorable for meeting important people. If it also coincides with the three auspicious gates of rest, growth, and opening, military campaigns will result in complete victory, benefiting both sides. When Wu is placed on Bing, it is called "Azure Dragon returning its head," which is very advantageous for action, and both fame and profit will be smooth. However, if it encounters gate pressure, burial, or punishment, auspiciousness will turn into inauspiciousness. Another interpretation is called "Azure Dragon in a strong position," which requires considering both the host and the guest. When Wu is placed on Ding, it is called "Azure Dragon shining brightly," which is suitable for visiting noblemen and seeking fame and profit, both of which can be achieved. However, if it is at the dead position or burial position, it may cause trouble. When Wu is placed on Ji, it is called "Dragon God being close," and all affairs will have divine assistance. When Jia is placed on Ji, it is called "Nobleman in prison," which is unfavorable for both public and private matters. Another interpretation is called "Azure Dragon combining."

When Wu is placed over Geng, it is called "Chief Symbol flying to the palace," which means good events may not be good and bad events may not be bad. It is also called "Bright White entering the Heaven Gate." If it occurs during a time of weakness and confinement and is further restricted by the gate, misfortune will befall. However, if it is in season and favorable, all affairs will succeed, but one must distinguish between the main and the guest parties. When Wu is placed over Xin, it is called "Azure Dragon breaking its leg." If there is a favorable gate supporting it, some plans can still be made. But if it meets an unfavorable gate, it indicates that the master may be kidnapped, there will be loss of money, or the person may suffer from foot illness. When Wu is placed over Ren, it is called "Dragon entering Heavenly Prison," which is unfavorable for all matters. If it is further restricted by the gate, the situation becomes even worse. However, if it combines with the three favorable gates, Rest, Growth, and Opening, it can result in success. Another interpretation is called "Azure Dragon breaking the prison." When Wu is placed over Gui, it is called "Azure Dragon entering the Celestial Cap," which is favorable for being the guest party. If it is restricted by the gate, there will be injuries. If the gate is favorable, it will bring good fortune. Another interpretation is called "Azure Dragon harmonizing with the gate."

The Heaven Plate's Yi is placed on the Earth Plate's Jia, called "Qi enters the Heaven Gate," which signifies that all matters will be favorable. If it coincides with the three auspicious gates, Xiu, Sheng, and Kai, it is particularly auspicious. However, if the gate it is placed on is凶 and is further constrained, it will be unfavorable. When Yi is placed on Yi, it is called "the Day Qi is hidden," which is not suitable for visiting noblemen or seeking official positions; instead, it is better to remain content and align with the Life Qi for good fortune, while aligning with therestrain Qi will bring calamity. Another interpretation is called "the hidden Qi pattern." When Yi is placed on Bing, it is called "the auspicious Qi follows the good pattern," and if the gate it is placed on is auspicious, it indicates promotion and advancement in official positions; if the gate is凶, it suggests marital discord. Another interpretation says that the Qi star covers the Bright Hall, and clouds obscure its brilliance, causing temporary confusion in all affairs, but eventually good fortune will come, and benefiting from an auspicious gate is favorable.

Yi is placed over Ding, called 'Qi Yi Xiang Zuo', which is favorable for official documents and allows all kinds of affairs to proceed smoothly; another interpretation says that the odd star makes Tai Yin strong, which is beneficial for advancing in the main direction, and military campaigns can achieve complete victory, leading to peace throughout the land. Yi is placed over Wu, also called 'Qi Ru Tian Men', and the judgment is the same as when Yi is placed over Jia; another interpretation says that all matters are bright, and if combined with three auspicious gates, a victorious return to camp is possible. Yi is placed over Ji, called 'Ri Qi Ru Wu', where the odd day is obscured by Ji earth and becomes dark, and if the gate is凶, it becomes even worse; another interpretation is called 'Yue Ru Di Hu Ge', which is highly favorable for the opposing side but less favorable for the main side.

Yi is placed on Geng, called 'Tai Bai Qi He', which means all matters can be undertaken. If the palace and the gate are also in harmony, it is even more auspicious. However, if the gate is凶, the result is slightly less favorable. Yi is placed on Xin, called 'Qing Long Tao Zou', which indicates servants and slaves may run away or be deceived, and livestock may suffer damage. If it is in harmony with the three auspicious gates, it benefits the main party; if the three auspicious gates are instead restrained, it turns from good to bad. If the gate and palace are in mutual generation, it brings long-lasting auspiciousness. Yi is placed on Ren, called 'Ri Qi Ru Di', which indicates rebellion and disorder, as well as legal disputes. Matters handled are often exaggerated, and whatever is done lacks substance. If it is in harmony with the three auspicious gates, it benefits the opposing party.

Yi is placed on Gui, called "Qí Lín Huá Gài," which is favorable for hiding one's tracks, practicing Dao, concealing one's form, and avoiding calamities, indicating good fortune.
