The unfavorable aspect is the eastern palace combined with "beating punishment," the earth palace has "serpent snake fraud," and the southern palace has lost the oddity; to take advantage, one must carefully examine the palace. At Gengwu time, the southern direction combined with "flying bird falling pit," "commanding authority," and "heavenly joy" forms an excellent situation for planning and gaining profit, while the earth palace has "female guardian at the gate" and "double deception." All three directions are suitable for planning. The unfavorable aspect is that the stars, symbols, and gates are all hidden, and the Three Marvels are buried in the Gen palace. At Yisi time, the Yihe is in the Kun direction and the Qihe is in the Li direction. The unfavorable aspect is that the Qian and Kan palaces have "Menfan", the Xun palace has "Yingru Taibai", and the Central Palace has "Qinglong Taozou", so one should be cautious of loss. At Jiwei hour, the Kan direction has the 'Instrument Harmony' formation; the unfavorable aspect is the Zhen palace with 'White General entering the flashing star', and the Xun palace with 'White Tiger rampant'. It is advisable to fortify and remain defensive, avoiding long journeys which may cause harm to people. At Gengshen hour, the Xun direction has the 'Marvels Harmony' formation; the unfavorable aspects are the Gen and Zhen palaces with 'Gate reversal', and the Gen palace also has the Three Marvels entering the tomb. The Dui palace has the 'Flying Palace Formation'. At Xinyou hour, there are no auspicious formations; only the Kun palace has the Three Marvels entering the tomb, which is an unfavorable aspect. At this time, the marvels are not useful, and it is advisable to remain inactive. At Renxu hour, the Zhen direction forms the 'Ghost Retreat' formation, which is favorable for secret attacks. The unfavorable aspects are the Xun and Li palaces with 'Gate reversal', the Kan palace with 'Vermilion Bird falling into the river', the Qian palace with 'Crime Formation', and the Li palace with 'Heavenly Net'. Although there is a retreat method, long-term plans are difficult. At Guihai hour, there are only unfavorable formations and no auspicious ones: the Eight Gates are in a hidden chant, the Kan palace has the 'Heavenly Net Spread Four Directions' formation, and the entire formation ends here. It is advisable to remain still and wait for the right time.

Yang Dun's three sections govern the four qi yuan: Dahan Upper Yuan, Mangzhong Middle Yuan, Chunfen Upper Yuan, and Ruiyu Lower Yuan. In the Jiazi ten-day period, Jiazi 'Heavenly Rush' is the chief symbol, and Shang Men is the duty gate. On Jia day and Ji day: At Jiazi hour, the Kan direction 'Double Fraud' can be used for setting a trap; the bad side is that stars, gates, and the chief symbol all fall into a trap, and the three marvels in the Kun palace are buried. At Yichou hour, the Li direction's first palace combines 'Heavenly Concealment', 'Bing Wonder', and 'Rising Hall', which is suitable for offering strategies and visiting the powerful, and for worship and rituals, with the Kun direction 'Heaven Plate Zhi Fu'; the bad side is that the Qian and Kan palaces have 'Gate Reversal', and the Gen palace has odd numbers buried along with 'Red Bird Falling into River', and the Xun palace has 'Crime and Block'. At Bingyin hour, the Dui direction combines 'Double Fraud', 'Rising Hall', and 'Marvels Combine', and the Li direction has 'Mutual Harmony' and 'Gate Harmony'; the bad side is that the Qian and Kan palaces have 'Gate Reversal', and the Kan palace also has 'Flying勃', and the Zhen palace has 'Hidden Palace Block'. At Dingmao hour, only the Gen direction 'Dragon Concealment' and the Qian direction 'Object Pretense' are favorable, with no bad patterns throughout the hour, suitable for water-related activities and using objects to form plans. At Wuchen hour, the Li direction has 'True Concealment', and the Kun direction has 'Rest Fraud'; the bad side is that the Kun and Dui palaces have 'Gate Reversal', stars and the chief symbol are hidden chants, the Kun palace has odd numbers buried, and the Zhen palace has 'Striking Crime'.

At Jisi hour, the Water trigram 'Kan' has 'Jiao Tai' and coincides with 'Tian Fu time', while the Thunder trigram 'Zhen' combines 'Sheng Dian', 'Huan Yi', and 'Men He'. The upper and lower aspects are harmonious with the Three Marvels in place, making it suitable for making connections and taking action. The only thing to avoid is the Fire trigram 'Li' with 'Teng She Yao Jiao'. At Gengwu hour, the Wind trigram 'Xun' has 'Feng Dun' and 'Zhen Zha', while the Earth trigram 'Kun' has 'Chang Qi' and 'Men He', and the Fire trigram 'Li' has 'Yu Nu Shou Men'. Three directions are favorable; the unfavorable aspects are the Mountain and Thunder trigrams with 'Men Fan', and the Central Palace with 'Fei Gong Ge', and the Lake trigram with 'Xiao Ge'. At Xinwei hour, the Earth trigram 'Kun' has 'Di Jia', the Thunder trigram 'Zhen' has 'Xiu Zha' and 'Huan Yi', and the Central Palace has 'Qi He'. The only unfavorable aspect is the Mountain trigram with 'Da Ge', and travelers will not arrive. At Renshen hour, the Wind trigram 'Xun' has 'Men He'. The unfavorable aspects are the Wind and Fire trigrams with 'Men Fan', the Central Palace with 'Ying Ru Tai Bai', the Heaven trigram with 'Qing Long Tao Zou', and the Lake trigram with 'Di Wang'. It is advisable to remain defensive. At Guiyou hour, the Wind trigram 'Xun' has 'Di Jia', the Heaven trigram 'Qian' has 'Chong Zha' and 'Qi He', and the Mountain trigram 'Gen' has 'Yi He'. The unfavorable aspects are the gate encountering 'Fu Yin', the Heaven trigram with the Three Marvels entering the tomb, the Water trigram with 'Tai Bai Ru Ying', the Earth trigram with 'Bai Hu Chang Wang', and the Mountain trigram with 'Tian Wang Si Zhang'. It is advisable to remain still and seek good fortune.

In the Jiaxu decade, Jiaxu "Tianfu" is the chief symbol and Du Men is the duty gate. At the Jiaxu hour, the Kan direction has "Menhe" (door harmony); the unfavorable aspect is that the stars, doors, and chief symbol are all hidden, and the three marvels are buried in the Kun palace. At the Yihai hour, the Li direction has "Tianjia" (heavenly assumption) which is suitable for spreading strength and sending out orders, and the Gen direction has "Menhe"; the unfavorable aspect is that the door meets hidden chant, and the Kun palace has "Jixing" (striking punishment). On the Yi day and the Geng day: at the Bingzi hour, the Dui direction has "Chongzha" (double fraud), and the Kun direction has "Qihhe" (marvel harmony); the unfavorable aspect is that the Qian and Kan palaces have "Menfan" (door reversal), and the Kan palace also has "FeiBo" (flying勃). At the Dingchou hour, the Gen direction has "Yihhe" (ritual harmony); the unfavorable aspect is that the Qian palace has the three marvels buried, the Li palace has the time buried, the Kan palace has "Tai Bai Ru Ying" (Tai Bai entering Ying), and the Kun palace has "Baihu Changwang" (White Tiger rampant); at this time, it is favorable to defend rather than to attack. At the Wuyin hour, the Li direction has "Zhenzha" (true fraud) combined with the three marvels ascending the hall; the unfavorable aspect is that the Kun and Dui palaces have "Menfan", the Gen palace has the marvels buried combined with "Zhuque Toujiang" (Vermilion Bird drowning in river), the Xun palace has "Fugong Ge" (hidden palace pattern) combined with "Fei Ge" (flying pattern), and the messages are not reliable while plans are suppressed.

At the hour of Gengchen, the object is false in the Li direction, the gate is in harmony in the Kun direction, and the ceremony is in harmony in the Xun direction; the dangerous side is the Gen and Zhen palaces with the gate returning, and the Li palace has the snake demon being mischievous, while the central palace has the flying palace pattern. At the hour of Xinsi, the earth is false in the Kun direction, and the deception is in the Zhen direction; the only thing to avoid is the Qie palace with the small pattern, and at this time one can hide and plan. At the hour of Renwu, one palace in the Xun direction combines the wind遁, flying bird falling into a hole, the Heavenly Three Celestial Stems, wandering official, and the gate in harmony; the auspicious patterns gather in one place, making it the best direction for seeking wealth and planning affairs; the dangerous side is the Xun and Li palaces with the gate returning, the Gen palace with the great pattern, and the Qie palace with the earth net; take advantage of the auspicious and act quickly. At the hour of Guiwei, the cloud遁 is in the Qian direction along with the repeated deception, the earth is false in the Xun direction, and the marvel is in harmony in the Kan direction; the dangerous side is the gate encountering a hidden chant, the Gen palace with the tomb combined with the four spreads of the heavenly net, and the central palace with the flashing star entering the white general, while the Qian palace also has the azure dragon escaping.
