The命宫 is located in the未 position: the未 position is disliked when the「巨门」and Star of brightness and prestige are together; although there are fewer dangers, there are still harmful effects and injuries; one has to work hard all one's life, legal troubles come knocking, and one can only live day by day with a low status.

申酉安命 申宮機巨為破格，男人浪蕩女人貧，二宮若然桃花見，男女逢之總不榮。戍安命 戍上紫破若相逢，天同太陽皆主凶，若還孤寒更夭折，隨緣勤苦免貧窮。亥安命 亥宮貪火天梁同，飄蕩浪子走西東，若還富貴也年促，不然隸僕與貧窮。

The destiny palace is located in the Shen palace and You palace: when the Shen palace has the Star of Wisdom and Adaptability and the Dark Star and Star of Speech together, it is considered an unusual combination. For men, this leads to a reckless and unrestrained lifestyle, while for women, it results in poverty. 武曲巳亥逢，六甲帥邊庭，貪狼居卯酉，遇火作公卿，天機坐卯貴，寅月六丁榮，巨卯逢左右，六乙立邊庭，巨坐寅申位，偏喜甲庚生，二宮逢七殺，左右會昌星，辰戍遇三宿，必主位公卿。

The star "Wuqu" in the Si and Hai mansions indicates that those born in the Jia year (six Jia) can command border armies. The star "Tanlang" sitting in the Mao and You mansions, if meeting the malefic "Huo Xing", can attain the rank of a minister. 丑未巨機為值福，失陷此月福須輕，卯酉不喜逢羊刃，辰戌紫破朝羅網，辰休戌囚貪貞陷，午宮陰巨不堪稱，申宮合武為下格，酉逢機巨日無精，卯辰巳午逢陰宿，戌亥逢陽亦不容，貪殺巳亥居陷地，破軍卯酉不為清，

The "Juguan" and "Tianji" in the Chou and Wei palaces originally still have some fortune, but once they are lost, the fortune brought by the Taiyin is greatly reduced. The卯 and 酉 palaces dislike encountering "Qingyang" (Yangren); the Chen and Xu palaces' "Ziwei" and "Pojun" are heading towards Tianluo and Diwang. 加殺遇劫為奸盜，此是刑邪不必論，貪狼化祿居四墓，縱然遇吉亦中平，命纏弱地休逢忌，空劫擎羊加火鈴，若非夭折主下賤，六畜之命不可平，旺地發福終遠大，陷地崢嶸到底傾，二論不過五百字，富貴貧賤別得明。

If additional malevolent stars are added and the person encounters 'Di Jie', they become a wicked and lawless person. 日月夾命 不坐空亡遇逢本宮有吉星是也。日出扶桑 日在卯守命是也，守官祿宮亦然。月落亥宮 月在亥守命是也，又名月朗天門。月生滄海 月在子宮守田宅是也。輔弼拱主 紫微守命二星來拱是也，夾之亦然。君臣慶會 紫微左右同守命是也，更會相武陰妙上。財印夾祿 祿守命梁相來夾是也，入財亦然。祿馬佩印 馬前有祿印星同宮是也。坐貴向貴 謂魁鉞在命迭相坐拱是也。馬頭帶劍 謂馬有刃是也不是居午格。

權祿生逢 二星守命廟旺是也，陷不是。羊刃入廟 辰戍丑未守命遇吉是也。巨機居卯 見前批註 明祿暗祿 見前批註 科明暗祿 見前批註 金輿扶駕 紫微守命前後有日月來夾是也。

"Authority and Wealth Meet" refers to the stars "Hua Quan" and "Hua Lu" governing the命 and falling in their flourishing positions; if they fall in declining positions, it is not considered favorable. "Yang Ren in its Temple" means the malefic star "Qing Yang" governing the命 and located in one of the four墓 positions (Chen, Xu, Chou, Wei), and encountering auspicious stars. "Ju Ji in Mao" refers to the previous annotations. "Bright and Hidden Wealth" and "Academic Merit and Hidden Wealth" are also mentioned in previous annotations. "Jin Yu Supporting the Chariot" refers to the star "Zi Wei" governing the命, with the stars "Tai Yang" and "Tai Yin" in the adjacent宫 to guard it, resembling a golden chariot accompanying the emperor on his journey.

生不逢時 命坐空亡逢廉貞是也。祿逢兩殺 祿坐空亡又逢空劫殺星是也。馬落空亡 馬既落亡雖祿沖會無用主奔波。日月藏輝 日月反背又逢巨暗是也。財與囚仇 武貞同守身命是也。一生孤貧 謂破守命星陷地是也。君子在野 謂四殺守身命而言臨陷地是也。兩重華蓋 謂祿存化祿坐命遇空劫是也。

"Born out of its time": The命宫 is sitting onKongwang and also meets「Lianzhen」. "Wealth meets two killers": The禄星 is sitting onKongwang and also meets the malefic stars「Tiankong」and「Dijie」. "Horse falls into emptiness": The「Tianma」has fallen intoKongwang, even though there is禄星 to support it, it cannot be effective, indicating a life of constant travel and effort. "Sun and Moon hidden brilliance": TheStar of brightness and prestige andWealth star and mother star are in reverse and improper positions, and also meet the dark star「Jumeng」. "Wealth and imprisonment are enemies": The wealth star「Wuqu」and the imprisonment star「Lianzhen」both guard the身宫 and命宫, and they are in conflict with each other. "A life of loneliness and poverty": Refers to「Pojun」guarding the命 and the stars falling into a declining position. "The gentleman in the wild": Refers to the four malefic stars「Qingyang」、「Tuoluo」、「Huoxing」and「Lingxing」guarding the身宫 and命宫, and all of them falling into a declining position. "Two layers of Huagai": Refers toWealth-salary star and化禄 both sitting on the命, but they meet「Tiankong」and「Dijie」at the same time.

風雲際會 身命雖弱二限逢祿馬是也。錦上添花 謂限破惡星而行吉地是也。祿衰馬困 限逢七殺祿馬空亡是也。衣錦還鄉 少年不遂四十後行墓運是也。步數無依 前限接後限連綿不分是也。水上駕星 一年好一年不好是也。吉凶相伴 命有主星限前則發限衰不發是也。枯木逢春 謂命衰限好是也。

"Wind and Clouds Meet": The body palace and life palace may be weak, but during the major and minor periods, they reach the positions of "Wealth-Salary Star" and "Star of Movement." "Adding Flowers to Brocade": Refers to the fortune periods having broken through evil stars and arriving at auspicious palace positions. "Wealth-Salary Star and Star of Movement in Trouble": The fortune periods meet "General Star and Star of Severity," while "Wealth-Salary Star" and "Star of Movement" fall into Kongwang. "Returning in Splendor": Not achieving success in youth, but becoming successful at the age of forty when arriving at the fortune periods of theStorage (storage) of Chen, Xu, Chou, and Wei. "Steps Without Support": The previous fortune period directly connects with the next one, continuous and unclear boundaries. "Stars on Water": One year is good, the next is bad, fluctuating. "Good and Bad Accompany Each Other": The destiny has a main star, the fortune periods develop in the early stage, but once the fortune periods decline, success ceases. "Withered Tree Meets Spring": Refers to a weak destiny but good fortune periods.

大抵人命俱從寅上起正月，順數至本生月止，又自人生月起子時逆至本生時安命，順至本生時安身。假如正月生子時就在寅宮安身命，丑時逆轉丑安命，順去卯安身，寅時逆轉子安命，順至辰安身，餘宮仿此。又若閏月正月生者要在二月內起安身命，凡有閏月具要依此為例，納音甲子歌誤要熟讀。

In general, when arranging a person's birth chart, one starts from the寅宫 for the first month and counts forward to the month of birth. Then, starting from the palace of the birth month, one counts backward to the birth hour to determine the命宫, and forward to the birth hour to determine the身宫. For example, someone born at子时 in the first month would have their命宫 and身宫 placed in the寅宫. Someone born at丑时 would have their命宫 placed in the丑宫 and身宫 in the卯宫. Someone born at寅时 would have their命宫 placed in the子宫 and身宫 in the辰宫. The rest of the palaces are determined in the same way. If there is a leap month and the person is born in the first month, the命宫 and身宫 should be determined within the second month. Whenever there is a leap month, this method should be followed. The "Nayin Jiazi Song" is easy to get wrong, so it must be thoroughly memorized.

如甲生人安命在寅，卻起甲己之年丙為首，是丙寅丁卯爐中火，卻去火局尋某日生期起紫微帝王。如是正月初一生者是火局，酉宮起初一日，就從酉宮起紫微，數無差遲，若錯了則失之毫釐，差之千里矣。

For example, if someone is born in the year of Jia, and their destiny palace is in the寅 (Yin) palace, they should use the mnemonic "Jia and Ji years start with Bing" to determine the hidden stem. The寅 palace is Bingyin, and the卯 (Mao) palace is Dingmao. The Nayin sound element belongs to "Fire in the Furnace." Then, they should refer to the table of the Fire group, and determine the position of the Emperor star (Ziwei) based on their birth date. If someone is born on the first day of the first lunar month, which belongs to the Fire group, they should start counting from the酉 (You) palace on the first day, placing the Emperor star in the You palace. This method ensures accuracy; once an error occurs, it can lead to significant mistakes.

安十二宮例 男女俱從逆轉切忌莫順去。一 命宮、二兄弟、三妻妾、四子女、五財帛、六疾厄、七遷移、八奴僕、九官祿、十田宅、十一福德、十二父母

Arrangement of the Twelve Houses: Regardless of male or female birth charts, the sequence is always started from the native's natal house and proceeds in a counterclockwise direction, never in a clockwise direction. The order is as follows: first the Native's House, second the Brothers' House, third the Spouse's House (Marriage House), fourth the Children's House, fifth the Wealth House, sixth the Diseases and Disabilities House, seventh the Migration House, eighth the Servants' House, ninth the Official Career House, tenth the Real Estate House, eleventh the Fortune and Virtue House, and twelfth the Parents' House.

起五行寅例 甲己之歲起丙寅，乙庚之歲起戊寅，丙辛之歲起庚寅，丁壬之歲起壬寅，戊癸之歲起甲寅。

To determine the "starting with寅" system in the Five Phases arrangement: for Jia years and Ji years, the寅 palace starts with Bingyin; for Yi years and Geng years, the寅 palace starts with Wuyin; for Bing years and Xin years, the寅 palace starts with Gengyin; for Ding years and Ren years, the寅 palace starts with Rennyin; for Wu years and Gui years, the寅 palace starts with Jiayin. After determining the stem and branch of the寅 palace, the remaining palaces are arranged in order following the sixty jiazi cycle. Then, taking the Nayin sound element, one can determine the Water Two, Wood Three, Metal Four, Earth Five, and Fire Six phases.

六十花甲子納音歌。甲子乙丑海中金，丙寅丁卯爐中火，戊辰己巳大林木，庚午辛未路旁土，壬申癸酉劍峰金，甲戊乙亥山頭火，丙子丁丑澗下水，戊寅己卯城頭土，庚辰辛巳白蠟金，壬午癸未楊柳木，甲申乙酉泉中水，丙戌丁亥屋上土，戊子己丑霹靂火，庚寅辛卯松柏木，壬辰癸巳長流水，

安南北斗諸星訣。紫微天機逆行旁，隔一陽武天同當，又隔二位廉貞地，空三復見紫微郎。天府太陰與貪狼，巨門天相及天梁，七殺空三破軍位，八星順數細推詳。

The method for placing the Northern and Southern Stars: After fixing the position of the Emperor star (Ziwei), the Star of Wisdom and Adaptability (Tianji) follows immediately in theretrograde direction of Ziwei. Then, skipping one palace, place the Star of Brightness and Prestige (Taiyang), followed by the Wealth and General Star (Wuqu), then the Star of Blessings (Tiantong). Next, skip two palaces to place the Star of Integrity and Justice (Lianzhen). Then skip three palaces and return to the position of Ziwei. For theTreasury star and command star system: the Treasury and Command Star (Tianfu), Wealth and Mother Star (Taiyin), Star of Romance and Desire (Tanlang), Dark and Star of Speech (Jumen), Seal and Star of Livelihood (Tianxiang), Shelter and Longevity Star (Tianliang), and General and Star of Severity (Qishash) are arranged in sequence. After Qishash, skip three palaces to place the Expenditure and Vanguard Star (Pojun). All eight stars are arranged in sequence, and careful calculation is required.

安文昌文曲星訣 論本生時。子時戌上起文昌，逆到生時是貴鄉，文曲數從辰上起，順到生時是本鄉。

The formula for placing the stars 「Wenqiang」 and 「Wenqu」 is based on the time of birth: starting from the Xu palace in the Zi hour, count backward to the birth hour; the palace reached is the noble position of Wenqiang. For Wenqu, start from the Chen palace and count forward to the birth hour; the palace reached is the original position of Wenqu.

文昌星從戌上起子時，就在戌宮安，若丑時逆至酉宮安之。文曲星從辰上起子時，如人生子時就在辰宮安，若丑時順去巳宮安之，餘宮仿此。

Specifically, the Star of Examinations and Documents begins at the Xu palace for the Zi hour: those born in the Zi hour place the Star of Examinations and Documents at the Xu palace; those born in the Chou hour place it one step backward at the You palace. The Star of Talent and Eloquence begins at the Chen palace for the Zi hour: those born in the Zi hour place the Star of Talent and Eloquence at the Chen palace; those born in the Chou hour place it one step forward at the Si palace. The rest of the hours follow this method accordingly.

安左輔右弼星訣 論本生月。左輔正月起於辰，順逢生月是貴方，右弼正月宮尋戌，逆至正月便調停。左輔從辰上起正月順行，如正月生者就辰宮安之。二月在巳宮，右弼從戌宮逆轉如正月便成戌宮安之，二月在酉宮餘仿此。

The mnemonic for placing the two auxiliary auspicious stars, Left Assistant and Right Assistant, is based on the birth month. Left Assistant starts from the Chen palace in January and moves forward in sequence to the birth month; the palace reached is its favorable position. Right Assistant starts from the Xu palace in January and moves backward to the birth month, where it settles. That is, Left Assistant begins at Chen palace in January and proceeds in order: those born in January are placed in Chen palace, those born in February in Si palace, and so on. Right Assistant begins at Xu palace in January and moves backward: those born in January are placed in Xu palace, those born in February in You palace, and so on. The rest of the months follow the same pattern.

安天魁天鉞訣 論本生年干。甲戊庚牛羊，乙己鼠猴鄉，六辛逢虎馬，壬癸免蛇藏，丙丁豬狗位，此是貴人方。二星主科甲，身命若逢之，金榜提名之客。

The method to determine the positions of "Tian Gui" and "Tian Yue" is based on the heavenly stem of the birth year: for Jia and Wu years, the Nobleman is in the Ox (Chou) and the Sheep (Wei); for Yi and Ji years, the Nobleman is in the Rat (Zi) and the Monkey (Shen); for Xin years, the Nobleman is in the Tiger (Yin) and the Horse (Wu); for Ren and Gui years, the Nobleman is hidden in the Rabbit (Mao) and the Snake (Si); for Bing and Ding years, the Nobleman is in the Pig (Hai) and the Dog (Xu). This is the position of Tianyi Nobleman. These two stars are associated with high achievements in the imperial examinations. If a person's body palace or destiny palace encounters them, they will be destined for success in the imperial examination list.

安天馬星訣 論本生年支。寅午戍人馬居申，申子辰人馬居寅，巳酉丑人馬居亥，亥卯未人馬居巳。如安命在辰戌丑未，遇夫妻宮在寅申巳亥有天馬，若得同位或三方照臨，必主男為官女封贈，不然祿馬交馳亦吉。

The formula for placing the Star of Movement (天马) is based on the earthly branch of the birth year: those born in the years of寅, 午, or 戌 have the Star of Movement in 申; those born in the years of 申, 子, or 辰 have it in 寅; those born in the years of 巳, 酉, or 丑 have it in 亥; and those born in the years of 亥, 卯, or 未 have it in 巳. If the命宫 is located in 辰, 戌, 丑, or 未, and the夫妻宫 is in 寅, 申, 巳, or 亥 with the Star of Movement present, and if it is accompanied by auspicious stars or receives support from three directions, it will certainly indicate that men will attain official positions and women will receive honors. Even if this is not the case, as long as the configuration forms "Lù Mǎ Jiāo Chí" (禄马交驰), it will still be favorable.

安祿存星訣 論本生年干。甲生祿存在寅宮，乙生在卯丙戊巳，丁己祿存停午方，庚祿居申辛祿酉，壬祿在亥癸祿子。

The rule for placing the Wealth-salary star (Lúcún) is based on the heavenly stem of the birth year: those born in the year of Jia have the Wealth-salary star in the寅 (Yín) palace; those born in the year of Yi have it in the卯 (Mǎo) palace; those born in the years of Bing and Wu have it in the巳 (Sì) palace; those born in the years of Ding and Ji have it in the午 (Wǔ) palace; those born in the year of Geng have it in the申 (Shēn) palace; those born in the year of Xin have it in the酉 (Yǒu) palace; those born in the year of Ren have it in the亥 (Hài) palace; and those born in the year of Gui have it in the子 (Zǐ) palace.

安擎羊陀羅二星訣。祿前擎羊後陀羅，夾限逢凶禍患多，歲限逢之俱不利，人生遇此莫蹉跎。此二星隨祿存安之，前安擎羊祿後安陀羅。假如癸祿在子，丑宮安擎羊，亥宮安陀羅，餘仿此。

The rule for placing the stars 「Qingyang」 and 「Tuo Luo」 is: place Qingyang in the position before theWealth-salary star, and Tuo Luo in the position after theWealth-salary star. If the fortune period or limit is caught between these two stars and encounters other malevolent stars, misfortunes will increase. If the current year's sovereign star and the fortune period meet these stars, it is unfavorable. When a person encounters such situations, they must not delay or neglect matters. These two stars are placed according to the禄存: place Qingyang in the position before the禄存's palace, and Tuo Luo in the position after theWealth-salary star's palace. For example, for someone born in the Gui year, theWealth-salary star is in the Zi palace, so Qingyang is placed in the Chou palace and Tuo Luo in the Hai palace. The same rule applies to other years.

安火鈴二星訣。寅午戌人丑卯方，申子辰人寅戌揚，巳酉丑人卯戌位，亥卯未人酉戌房。

The formula for placing the stars 「Malefic of violence」 and 「Hidden-fire malefic」 is as follows: those born in the years of寅, 午, 戌 have the Malefic of violence in the丑 palace and the Hidden-fire malefic in the卯 palace; those born in the years of申, 子, 辰 have them in the寅 palace and戌 palace; those born in the years of巳, 酉, 丑 have them in the卯 palace and戌 palace; those born in the years of亥, 卯, 未 have them in the酉 palace and戌 palace.

安祿權科忌四星變化訣 論生年干 挾火而化。甲廉破武陽為伴，乙機梁紫月交侵，丙同機昌廉貞位，丁月同機巨門尋，戊貪月弼機為主，己武貪梁曲最平，庚日武陰同為首，辛巨陽曲昌至臨，壬梁紫府武宿是，癸破巨陰貪狼停。

The mnemonic for the four transformations 「化禄」「化权」「化科」「化忌」 is based on the heavenly stem of the birth year. The four transformations change according to the stem: for the year Jia, the four stars are 「Lianzhen」「Pojun」「Wuqu」 and the Sun; for the year Yi, they are 「Tianji」「Tianliang」「Ziwu」 and the Moon; for the year Bing, they are 「Tiantong」「Tianji」「Wenchang」 and 「Lianzhen」; for the year Ding, they are the Moon, 「Tiantong」「Tianji」 and 「Jumen」; for the year Wu, they are 「Tanlang」, the Moon, 「Youbi」 and 「Tianji」; for the year Ji, they are 「Wuqu」「Tanlang」「Tianliang」 and 「Wenqu」, which is the smoothest; for the year Geng, they are the Sun, 「Wuqu」, the Moon and 「Tiantong」; for the year Xin, they are 「Jumen」, the Sun, 「Wenqu」 and 「Wenchang」; for the year Ren, they are 「Tianliang」「Ziwu」「Tianfu」 and 「Wuqu」; for the year Gui, they are 「Pojun」「Jumen」, the Moon and 「Tanlang」. Each group of four stars corresponds to 「化禄」「化权」「化科」「化忌」 in order.

如甲生人廉貞化祿、破軍化權、武曲化科、太陽化忌是也，餘仿此。

For example, someone born in the year of Jia will have "Lianzhen" transforming into wealth, "Pojun" transforming into authority, "Wuqu" transforming into academic achievement, and the Sun star transforming into a curse. The other heavenly stems are similarly interpreted in the same way.

天空地劫訣 論本生時。亥上起子順安劫，逆向便是天空鄉。如子時生者劫空俱在亥宮。若丑時生者劫順在子宮，空逆在戌宮。若午時生者，劫空俱在巳上安之。餘宮仿此。

The formula for placing "Star of Emptiness" and "Plunder Malefic" is based on the time of birth: starting from theHai Palace, count forward to determine the position of Plunder Malefic; starting from theHai Palace, count backward to determine the position of Star of Emptiness. For example, those born at the子时 have both Star of Emptiness and Plunder Malefic in theHai Palace; those born at the丑时 have Plunder Malefic in theZi Palace and Star of Emptiness in theXu Palace; those born at the午时 have both Star of Emptiness and Plunder Malefic in theSi Palace. The same method applies to other hours.

安天傷天使訣。命前六位是天傷，命後六位天使當。順數命前六位是天傷，命後六位是天使，天傷安在奴僕宮，天使安在疾厄宮。身與歲限夾在傷使中間，謂之加夾地更加惡曜多凶。

The formula for placing the stars 「Tian Shang」 and 「Tian Shi」 is: the sixth position before the命宫 is Tian Shang, and the sixth position after the命宫 is Tian Shi. Counting forward, the sixth position before the命宫 is where Tian Shang is placed, and the sixth position after the命宫 is where Tian Shi is placed. In this way, Tian Shang falls exactly in the servant宫, and Tian Shi falls exactly in the illness宫. If the body宫 or the current year's fortune is sandwiched between Tian Shang and Tian Shi, it is called 「Jia Jia Di」. If there are also malevolent stars involved, it often indicates danger.

安十二宮太歲殺祿訣。博士力士青龍續，小耗將軍及奏書，蜚廉喜神病符錄，天耗伏兵至宮府，吉凶從此分禍福。要知不論男女命尋祿存星起，陽男陰女順推輪，陰男陽女逆流行。

The mnemonic for arranging the twelve palace positions, annual malevolent stars, and the Wealth-Salary Star is as follows: first come the Doctor, the Warrior, and the Azure Dragon in sequence, followed by the Minor Loss, the General, and the Memorial Star. Then comes the Star of Solitude and Strife, the Joyful Deity, and the Bingfu Star. Next are the Great Expenditure (Tian Hao), the Hidden Army, and so on until reaching the Official Office. The fortune, misfortune, blessings, and calamities are determined by the arrangement of these stars. It should be known that regardless of whether the person is male or female, the sequence starts from the palace where the Wealth-Salary Star is located. For a man born in a yang year or a woman born in a yin year, the sequence is pushed forward in the order. For a man born in a yin year or a woman born in a yang year, the sequence is pushed backward.

博士聰明力士權，青龍喜氣小耗錢，將軍威武奏書福，蜚廉主弧喜神延，病符帶疾耗退祖，伏兵宮府口舌纏，生年坐守十二殺，方敢斷人禍福源。

The "Doctor" star signifies wisdom, the "Forceful Warrior" star signifies authority; the "Azure Dragon" signifies joy and celebration, the "Minor Loss" star signifies financial loss; the "General" star signifies strength and power, the "Petition" star signifies good fortune; the "Star of Solitude and Strife" signifies loneliness, the "Joyful Deity" signifies continuous good news; the "Bingfu" star signifies illness, the "Great Loss" star signifies the decline of ancestral fortune; the "Hidden Army" and "Government" stars signify disputes and conflicts. One must first determine the positions of the twelve flowing stars for the year of birth before one can judge the root of a person's fortune and misfortune.

安天刑天姚星訣。天刑星從酉上起正月順至本生月便安之。天姚星從丑上起正月順至本生月即安之。

The mnemonic for placing the stars 'Heavenly Punishment' and 'Secondary Romance' is: 'Heavenly Punishment' begins at the You palace in January, and is counted forward to the birth month, being placed in that palace; 'Secondary Romance' begins at the Chou palace in January, and is counted forward to the birth month, being placed in that palace.

安三臺八座二星訣 三臺尋左輔將初一日加在左輔宮，順數至本生日安之。八座尋右弼將初一加右弼宮逆數至本生日安之是也。

The formula for placing the stars 「San Tai」 and 「Ba Zuo」 is: for 「San Tai」, find 「Zuo Fu」, add the first day of the month to the palace where 「Zuo Fu」 is located, and count forward to the day of birth, placing 「San Tai」 in that palace. For 「Ba Zuo」, find 「You Bi」, add the first day of the month to the palace where 「You Bi」 is located, and count backward to the day of birth, placing 「Ba Zuo」 in that palace.

安天哭天虛星訣 論本生年支。天哭天虛起午宮。午宮起子兩分蹤。哭逆巳兮虛順未。數到生年便居中。

After the子 (Zi) year, the two stars diverge: Star of grief (Star of grief) moves backward to the巳 (Si) palace, while Star of depletion (Star of depletion) moves forward to the未 (Wei) palace. Each counts to the earthly branch of the birth year, and the palace where they land is their position.

安龍池鳳閣訣 論本生年支。龍池子順辰，鳳閣子戌逆。

The formula for placing the stars Long Chi and Feng Ge is based on the earthly branch of the birth year. Long Chi starts from the Chen palace in the Zi year and moves forward in sequence, while Feng Ge starts from the Xu palace in the Zi year and moves backward. The sequence is: long life, bathing, capping, officialdom, prosperity, decline, illness, death, tomb, extinction, fetus, and nurturing.

安紅鸞天喜訣。卯上起子逆數之，數到當生太歲支，坐守此宮紅鸞位，對宮天喜不差移。年少婚姻喜事奇，老人必主喪其妻，三十年前為吉曜，五十年後不相宜。

The formula for placing the stars 「Hongluan」 and 「Tianxi」 is: start from the Mao palace for the Zi year, count backwards, and stop at the earthly branch of the birth year. The palace where you stop is the position of Hongluan; its opposite palace is Tianxi, without any error. Young people encountering these two stars indicate very harmonious marital happiness; however, older people encountering them may indicate the loss of a spouse. In summary, these stars are considered auspicious before the age of thirty, but they are not suitable after the age of fifty.

安喪門白虎弔客官府四飛星訣。流年太歲前二位是喪門，後二位是弔客，喪門對照安白虎，弔客對照安官府。歲君前二是喪門，後二宮中弔客存，對照喪門安白虎，弔客對照安官府。

The formula for placing the four stars 「Mourning-and-Condolence spirit」, 「White Tiger」, 「Funeral Guest」, and 「Government」 is: the second position before the current year's sovereign is the Mourning-and-Condolence spirit, and the second position after the current year's sovereign is the Funeral Guest; the opposite position of the Mourning-and-Condolence spirit is where the White Tiger is placed, and the opposite position of the Funeral Guest is where the Government is placed. The rhyme says: the second position before the sovereign (year ruler) is the Mourning-and-Condolence spirit, and the second position after the sovereign is where the Funeral Guest is placed; the opposite position of the Mourning-and-Condolence spirit is where the White Tiger is placed, and the opposite position of the Funeral Guest is where the Government is placed.

安斗君訣 即月將星是也。於流年太歲宮起正月逆至本生月，又從本生月起子順數至本生時安斗君。大歲宮中便起正，逆尋生月即留停，又從生月宮輪子，順至生時鎮斗星。

The formula for placing the 'Dǒu Jun' - Dǒu Jun is the Month General. Begin from the palace of the current year's Tai Sui, starting with the first month, and count backwards to the birth month. Then, from the palace of the birth month, start with the Zi hour and count forward to the birth hour; place Dǒu Jun in that palace. 安天德月德解神訣。天德星從酉上起子，順數至流年太歲上是也。月德星從子上起子，順數至流年太歲上是也。解神從戌上起子，逆數至當生年太歲上是也。

The formula for placing the stars Star of virtue and resolution, Star of virtue and charity, and Star of resolution is as follows: Star of virtue and resolution starts from theYou Palace in the year 子 and moves forward in sequence until it reaches the earthly branch of the current year's heavenly stem, where it stops; 月德 starts from the子宫 in the year 子 and moves forward in sequence until it reaches the earthly branch of the current year's heavenly stem, where it stops; Star of resolution starts from theXu Palace in the year 子 and moves backward in sequence until it reaches the earthly branch of the birth year's heavenly stem, where it stops.

安飛天三殺訣 即奏書、將軍、直符。寅午戍年飛入亥卯未宮。申子辰年飛入巳酉丑宮。亥卯未年飛入申子辰宮。巳酉丑年飛入寅午戌宮。奏書口舌禍來侵，將軍飛入悔心驚，直符官災終不免，此是流年三殺星。

The formula for placing the 'Flying Heaven Three Killers' — the Three Killers are the Official Document, General, and Direct Symbol. In the years of寅, 午, 戌, the Three Killers fly into the three palaces of亥, 卯, 未; in the years of申, 子, 辰, they fly into the three palaces of巳, 酉, 丑; in the years of亥, 卯, 未, they fly into the three palaces of申, 子, 辰; and in the years of巳, 酉, 丑, they fly into the three palaces of寅, 午, 戌. The rhyme says: When the Official Document arrives, disputes and troubles will come; when the General flies in, people will feel regret and fear; when the Direct Symbol arrives, lawsuits and misfortunes are inevitable. These are the three evil stars of the current year.

安截路空亡訣 論本生年。甲己申酉宮，乙庚午未宮，丙辛辰巳宮，丁壬寅卯宮，戊癸子丑宮。安旬中空亡訣 論本生年。甲子旬中空戌亥，甲寅旬中空子丑，甲辰旬中空寅卯，甲午旬中空辰巳，甲申旬中空午未，甲戌旬中空申酉。

安大限訣。陽男陰女從命前一宮起順行 是父母宮。陰男陽女從命後一宮起逆行 是兄弟宮

The rule for determining the major life periods is as follows: For a man born in a yang year, starting from the宫 before the命宫 and moving forward, that宫 is the parents'宫; for a woman born in a yin year, starting from the宫 after the命宫 and moving backward, that宫 is the siblings'宫. 安命主。貪狼子宮，巨門丑亥宮，祿存寅戌宮，文曲卯酉宮，廉真申辰宮，武曲巳未宮，破軍午宮。假如午宮安命尋破軍星在何宮即命主也，子宮安命尋貪狼星在何宮即命主也，左輔隨丑至午，右弼隨亥至午。

For example, if the命宫 is in the Wu (Horse)宫, look at where the Expenditure star and vanguard star star is located, and that is the main star; if the命宫 is in the Zi (Rat)宫, look at where the Star of romance and desire star is located, and that is the main star. Auxiliary auspicious star moves from the Chou (Ox)宫 in a clockwise direction to the Wu (Horse)宫, and Auxiliary auspicious star moves from the Hai (Pig)宫 in a counterclockwise direction to the Wu (Horse)宫, and the same method applies for arranging them.

安身主。子午人火玲星，丑未人天相星，寅申人天梁星，卯酉人天同星，辰戌人文昌星，巳亥人天機星。
