It prefers the stars "Wealth-salary," "The Emperor," "Treasury and Command," "Star of Examinations and Documents," and "Star of Talent and Eloquence" to be in the same palace or shining from the opposite palace, which brings good fortune. If the major and minor limits reach the palace where "The Star of Movement" is located, and also meet "Wealth-salary," "The Emperor," and "Treasury and Command," and further combined with the flowing year's "Flowing Star of Examinations and Documents," success and benefit will certainly be achieved.

如與祿存同宮，謂之祿馬交馳，又曰折鞭馬；紫府同宮謂之扶轝馬；刑殺同宮謂之負尸馬；火星同宮謂之戰馬；日月同宮謂雌雄馬；逢空亡謂之死馬、亡馬；居絕死謂之死馬；遇陀羅謂之折足馬。以上犯此數者，俱主災病，流年值之依此斷。

If the Star of Movement is in the same palace as the Wealth-Salary Star, it is called "Lusha Jiaochi" or "Zhe Bian Ma"; if it is in the same palace as the Emperor Star or the Treasury Star, it is called "Fuyu Ma," meaning the horse used by the emperor; if it is in the same palace as the Star of Punishment or the General Star, it is called "Fushī Ma"; if it is in the same palace as the Malefic of Violence, it is called "Zhan Ma"; if it is in the same palace as the Star of Brightness and Prestige or the Wealth Star, it is called "Cixiong Ma"; if it meets Kongwang, it is called "Si Ma" or "Wang Ma"; if it falls in the "Jue" or "Si" positions of the Twelve Longevity, it is also called "Si Ma"; if it meets the Malefic of Delay and Entanglement, it is called "Zhe Zu Ma." All these are considered ominous and are associated with calamity and illness; when the current year arrives at such positions, the same principles apply.

希夷先生答曰：祿為福德之神。守身命官祿之位，科權相逢必作大臣之職。小限逢之主進財入仕之喜。大限十年吉慶無疑，惡曜來臨並羊陀火忌沖照，亦不為害。女人吉湊作命婦，二限逢之，內外威嚴，殺湊平常。

Master Xiyi replied: "Hua Lu" is the deity in charge of blessings and virtue. When it is located in the position of the body宫, the命宫, or the official position宫, and meets with "Hua Ke" and "Hua Quan", the person is sure to attain a high official rank. If the small limit reaches Hua Lu, it indicates good fortune in gaining wealth and entering officialdom; if the big limit of ten years reaches Hua Lu, the auspiciousness is certain, even if evil stars come, or "Qingyang", "Tuo Luo", "Huo Xing", and "Hua Ji" from the opposite palace shine upon it, it will not cause harm. For a woman's chart, if good stars are combined with Hua Lu, she can become a诰命 wife; if she meets Hua Lu in both the big and small limits, she will display an imposing and dignified appearance both inside and outside. If malevolent stars are combined with it, it will be ordinary only.

希夷先生答曰：權星掌判生殺之神。守身命科祿相逢出將入相。科權相逢必定文章冠世，人皆欽仰。小限相逢，無有不吉。大限十年，必然遂志。如逢羊陀耗使劫空，聽讒貽累，官災貶謫。女人得之內外稱志，可作命婦。僧道掌山林有師號。

Master Xiye said: "Huaquan" is the deity in charge of the power of judgment and punishment. It guards the body palace and the destiny palace, and when it meets with "Huake" and "Hualu," the person can become a general when going out and a minister when entering the court. When "Huake" meets with "Huaquan," the person's writings will be unparalleled, and everyone will admire and respect him. When the small limit reaches "Huaquan," there will be no misfortune; when the great limit reaches "Huaquan" after ten years, everything will go as desired. However, if it meets with "Qingyang," "Tuo Luo," "Dahao," "Tianshi," "Dijie," or "Tiankong," the person will suffer from being deceived by slander, leading to troubles, lawsuits, demotion, and punishment. A woman's destiny with "Huaquan" will bring satisfaction both inside and outside, allowing her to become a诰命 wife. A monk or Taoist with "Huaquan" can manage mountains, forests, temples, and monasteries, and be recognized as a master.

希夷先生答曰：科星上界應試，主掌文墨之星。守身命權祿相逢宰臣之貴。如逢惡曜亦為文章秀士，可作群英師範。女命吉拱，主貴封贈。雖四殺沖破，亦為富貴。與科星拱照沖同論。

Master Xiyi replied: "Hua Ke" is a star from the heavenly realm that oversees examinations and governs written words and calligraphy. If it is stationed in the body palace or the命宫, and meets with "Hua Quan" and "Hua Lu", it indicates a high official or a minister of great importance. Even if it meets with evil stars, it still signifies a talented scholar with outstanding literary ability, capable of serving as a model for many outstanding talents. For a woman's chart, if it is supported by auspicious stars, it indicates high status and receiving imperial honors; even if it is opposed by the four malefic stars "Qing Yang", "Tuo Luo", "Huo Xing", and "Ling Xing", she will still attain wealth and honor. Other stars that form an auspicious or opposing relationship with Hua Ke are also interpreted according to the same principle.

希夷先生答曰：忌為多管之神。守身命一生不順，小限逢之一年不足，大限十年悔吝。二限太歲交臨，斷然蹭蹬。文人不耐久，武人縱有官災口舌不妨。雖商賈技藝人，皆不宜利。

Master Xiyi replied: "The 'Hua Ji' is a deity who meddles unnecessarily and hinders everywhere. If it resides in the body宫 or the命宫, one's life will be full of obstacles and difficulties. When it meets the small limit, there will be constant regrets in that year. When it meets the large limit, there will be much regret and sorrow in the ten years. If both the large limit and the small limit coincide with the annual stem and branch in the same宫, then one will certainly face hardships and be at a loss. Scholars encountering it will find their official careers difficult to sustain; warriors encountering it may have disputes and lawsuits, but this is not a great problem. As for merchants and artisans encountering it, it is unfavorable for gaining profits."

如會紫府、昌曲、左右、科權祿，與忌同宮又兼四殺共處，即發財亦不佳，功名亦不成就。如單逢四殺、耗使、劫空，主奔波帶疾。僧道流移還俗。處事只求七分。

If the afflicted star meets the Emperor star, Treasury star, Star of Examinations and Documents, Star of Talent and Eloquence, Auxiliary Auspicious stars, and the fortunate stars of academic achievement, authority, and wealth, but the same palace also contains the four malefic stars of injury, delay and entanglement, violence, and hidden-fire, then even if wealth is obtained, it is not beneficial, and success in official positions will also be difficult to achieve. If only the four malefic stars and the Star of Great Expenditure, Star of the Messenger of Illness, Plunder Malefic, and Star of Emptiness are present, it indicates a life of constant toil and illness. Monks and Taoists may be exiled from their temples and return to secular life. Such a destiny can only achieve seven parts, and one should not strive for perfection.

希夷先生答曰：擎羊北斗之助星。守身命性粗行暴，孤單，視親為疏，翻恩為怨。入廟性剛果決，機謀好勇，主權貴。北方生人為福，四墓生人不忌。

Master Xiyi replied: "Qingyang" is an auxiliary star of the Big Dipper. When it guards the body palace and the destiny palace, it indicates a person with a rough character and impetuous behavior, living alone and treating close relatives as strangers, turning kindness into resentment. If it is in a flourishing position called "ru mi," then the person is strong-willed and decisive, resourceful and fond of displaying strength, likely to hold power and achieve prestige. Those born in the north benefit from it, and those born in the years of Chen, Xu, Chou, and Wei, the four "mu" years, need not fear it.

居卯酉作禍興殃，刑剋極甚。六甲六庚生人，必有凶禍。縱富貴不久亦不善終，若九流工藝人辛勤。加火忌劫空沖破，殘疾離祖刑剋六親。女人入廟加吉上局，殺耗沖破多主刑剋下局。

If the Malefic of Injury (擎羊) falls in the卯 (Mao) or 酉 (You) palace, it will cause chaos and disasters, with severe punishments and harm. Those born in the Jia (甲) year or Geng (庚) year (Six Jia and Six Geng) will certainly face dangers and misfortunes; even if they become wealthy for a time, their prosperity will not last long, and they are likely to die an untimely death. If they engage in miscellaneous trades or manual skills, they will have a life full of hardship and toil. If further combined with the Malefic of Violence (火星), the transformed忌 (化忌), the Plunder Malefic (地劫), and the Star of Emptiness (天空) breaking through, it indicates physical disabilities, leaving their ancestral home and family, and causing severe punishments and harm to their six relations. For women, if the Malefic of Injury (擎羊) is in its proper position and combined with auspicious stars, it is considered a superior pattern. However, if it is broken by malevolent stars and the Star of Great Expenditure (大耗), it often leads to punishments and harm, considered an inferior pattern.

希夷先生答曰：陀羅北斗之助星。守身命心行不正，暗淚長流，性剛威猛，作事進退。橫成橫破，飄蕩不定。與貪狼同度因酒色以成癆，與火鈴同處，疥疫不死。居疾厄，暗疾纏綿。

Master Xiyi replied: "Tuo Luo" is an auxiliary star of the Big Dipper. It guards the body palace and the命宫 (life palace), indicating a person whose thoughts and actions are not upright, often secretly weeping, with a harsh and fierce nature, yet hesitating and indecisive in doing things, advancing a step and then retreating. Family affairs often suddenly rise and suddenly fall, leading to a life of constant wandering. When "Tuo Luo" shares a palace with "Tan Wang," it may lead to illness from indulgence in wine and women. When it shares a palace with "Huo Xing" and "Ling Xing," it may cause skin diseases or epidemics, but these are not fatal. If it falls in the palace of illness, it indicates a hidden chronic illness that is difficult to recover from.

辰戌丑未生人為福，在廟財官論，文人不耐久，武人橫發高遷。若陷地加殺刑剋招凶，二姓延生，女人刑剋下賤。

Those born in the years of Chen, Xu, Chou, or Wei may actually benefit from having the Malefic of delay and entanglement. If this Malefic is in a "temple" position, it can be interpreted as having wealth and official status. Scholars who have it may not maintain their official positions for long, while those who practice martial arts may achieve unexpected success and rapid promotion. However, if the Malefic is in a "declined" position and combined with malevolent stars, it can cause injuries, harm, and misfortune, possibly leading to the necessity of being adopted by another family to preserve life. For women, encountering this may indicate harm to relatives and a low social status.

玉蟾先生曰：擎羊陀羅二星屬火金，乃北斗浮星，在斗司奏，在數凶厄。羊化氣曰刑，陀化氣曰忌。怕臨兄弟、田宅、父母三宮。忌三合臨身命，合昌曲、左右有暗痣、眼痣。見日月女剋夫，而夫克婦，為諸宮之凶神。

Master Yu Chán said: "The stars 'Qing Yang' and 'Tu Luo' belong to the elements of fire and metal respectively, and are floating stars of the Big Dipper. Within the palace of the Dipper, they are in charge of reporting matters. In the system of destiny calculation, they govern misfortunes and dangers. The energy of 'Qing Yang' is called 'Xing' (punishment), and the energy of 'Tu Luo' is called 'Ji' (prohibition). They are most feared when they appear in the brothers' palace, the property palace, and the parents' palace. They are also to be avoided when they shine upon the body palace and the destiny palace from the 'San He' (Triple Harmony) palaces. If they combine with 'Wen Chang', 'Wen Qu', 'Zuo Fu', and 'You Bi', there will be dark moles on the body or moles on the eyes. If they meet with 'Tai Yang' and 'Tai Yin', a female's fate will harm her husband, and a male's fate will harm his wife. They are truly the凶神 (malevolent spirits) among the twelve palaces."

忌同日月則傷親損目；刑並桃花則風流惹禍；忌貪狼合因花酒以忘身；刑與暗同行招暗疾而壞目；忌與殺暗同度招凌辱而生暗疾；與火鈴為凶伴只宜僧道；權刑合殺疾病官厄不免；貪耗流年面上刺痕。二限更遇此，災害不時而生也。

When the malefic of delay and entanglement (陀罗) transforms into the 'taboo' (忌) and shares a palace with the Star of brightness and prestige (太阳) and the Wealth star and mother star (太阴), it harms the parents and damages the eyes. When the malefic of injury (擎羊) transforms into the 'punishment' (刑) and is in the same palace as the Taohua star, it leads to troubles from romantic affairs. When the 'taboo' (忌) combines with the Star of romance and desire (贪狼), it causes indulgence in pleasures and neglect of personal safety. When the 'punishment' (刑) joins the dark star (巨门), it brings hidden illnesses and eye problems. When the 'taboo' (忌) joins the General star and star of severity (七杀) and other dark stars, it leads to humiliation and hidden illnesses. When these combine with the malefic of violence (火星) and the hidden-fire malefic (铃星), the fate is only suitable for a monk or Taoist. When the 'authority' (化权) and 'punishment' (天刑) join the General star (七杀), diseases and legal troubles are inevitable. When the Star of romance and desire (贪狼) meets the Star of great expenditure (大耗) in the flowing year, it leaves scars on the face. When the major and minor limits reach these combinations, disasters occur at any time.

歌曰：刑與暗同行，暗疾刑六親。火鈴遇凶伴，只宜道與僧。權刑囚合殺，疾病災厄侵。貪耗流年聚，面上刺痕新。限運若逢此，橫禍血刃生。

The rhyme says: "The Star of Punishment and the Hidden Star of Dark Star and Speech travel together, indicating chronic illness and punishment of the Six Relations. The Malefic of Violence and the Hidden-Fire Malefic meet with evil companions, and such a fate is only suitable for becoming a Taoist or a Buddhist monk. The Transformation of Authority and the Star of Punishment combine with the Captive Star of Integrity and the General Star of Severity, leading to continuous illness and calamity. The Star of Romance and Desire and the Star of Great Expenditure meet in the flowing year, resulting in new tattoo-like wounds on the face. If the major and minor limits reach such a combination, sudden misfortunes and injuries from sharp weapons will occur."

羊陀夭壽殺，人遇為掃星。君子防恐懼，小人遭凌刑。遇耗決乞求，只宜林泉人。二限倘來犯，不時災禍侵。

The stars "Qingyang" and "Tuo Luo" are malevolent stars that cause loss of life. When people encounter them, it is as if they have met the comet of misfortune, which is ominous. A virtuous person encountering them should beware of sudden fears and anxieties, while a petty person will suffer humiliation and punishment. If these stars are also combined with "Dahao," one will certainly have to beg from door to door for survival; such a fate is only suitable for hermits living in mountains and springs. If these stars are confronted in major or minor life periods, calamities will frequently come knocking.

答曰：火星乃南斗浮星也。希夷先生歌曰：火星大殺將，南斗號殺神。若主身命位，諸宮不可臨。性氣亦沉毒，剛強出眾人。毛髮多異類，唇齒有傷痕。更與羊陀會，襁褓必災迍。過房出外養，二姓可延生。

The response says: "Huo Xing" is a floating star in the Southern Dipper. Master Xi Yi's mnemonic verse states: "Huo Xing is an extremely凶ous Great Sha, known as the executioner in the Southern Dipper. If it governs the position of the body宫 or the命宫, then none of the twelve宫 should have it present. Such a person has a sullen and cruel temperament, with a strength beyond ordinary people; their hair and beard are different from common people, and their lips and teeth bear scars. If it combines with "Qing Yang" and "Tuo Luo," they will surely encounter calamity and hardship even in the cradle, and must be adopted by others, raised elsewhere, and take on a different surname in order to survive."

此星東南利，不利西北生。若得貪狼會，旺地貴無倫。封侯居上將，勳業著邊庭。三方無殺破，中年後始興。僧道多飄蕩，不守規戒心。女人旺地潔，陷地主邪淫，刑夫又克子，下賤勞碌人。

This star benefits those born in the east and south, but is unfavorable to those born in the west and north. If it combines with the Star of Romance and Desire and is located in a prosperous position, one's status and fame will be unparalleled: achieving high military rank, receiving honors, and gaining renown in the border regions. As long as the three harmonious positions (triple harmony) do not have malevolent stars or the Expenditure Star and Vanguard Star disrupting them, prosperity will begin in middle age. Monks and Taoists possessing this star often lead a wandering life and find it difficult to maintain their monastic discipline. For women, if the Malefic of Violence is in a prosperous position, they may remain chaste, but if it is in a declining position, it indicates immoral behavior, causing harm to their husbands and children, and leading to a life of low status and hard work.
