答曰：鈴星乃南斗助星也。希夷先生歌曰：大殺鈴星將，南斗為從神。值人身命者，性格亦沉吟。形貌多異類，威勢有聲名。若與貪狼會，指日立邊庭。廟地財官貴，陷地主孤貧。羊陀若湊合，其刑大不清。

The answer says: "Ling Xing" is an assistant star of the Southern Dipper. Master Xiyi's mnemonic verse states: "Ling Xing is the great sha, serving as a subordinate deity in the Southern Dipper. It guards a person's body palace and destiny palace; such a person has a gloomy and anxious disposition, with unclear thoughts and troubles. Their appearance differs from ordinary people, and they possess a fierce aura and a notable reputation. If "Tan Lang" joins with "Ling Xing," great achievements can be made on the frontier within a short time. When "Ling Xing" is in a "temple place," it indicates wealth, officialdom, and high status; but when it falls in a "depressed place," it signifies loneliness and poverty. If "Qing Yang" and "Tuo Luo" join together, the severity of punishment and injury becomes extremely unfavorable.

孤單並棄祖，殘傷帶疾人。僧道多飄蕩，還俗定無疑。女人無吉曜，刑剋少六親。終身不貞潔，壽夭仍困貧。

Such a person is lonely and unsupported, having abandoned ancestral property and left their hometown, with physical injuries and illness. Those who become monks or Taoist priests are mostly wandering and unsettled, and their return to secular life is certain. For a woman's fate, if there are no auspicious stars accompanying her, she will suffer from punishments and harm, with few relatives; she cannot maintain chastity throughout her life, and she will either die young or live in hardship and poverty.

此星大殺將，其惡不可禁。一生有凶禍，聚實為虛情。七殺主陣亡，破軍財屋傾。廉宿羊刑會，劫空主刀兵。或遇貪狼宿，官祿亦不寧。若逢居旺地，富貴不可論。

This star is an extremelyvicious great Sha, its malevolent force cannot be restrained. Throughout life, there are always dangers and misfortunes. It seems as if things are gathering, but in reality, they are all false and insincere. When this star meets with Ling Xing, it indicates death in battle; when it meets with Po Jun, it signifies the loss of wealth and the collapse of the family home; when it combines with Lian Zhen, Qing Yang, or Tian Xing, or when it joins with Di Jie and Tian Kong, it indicates suffering from weapons and violence; or if it meets with Tan Lang, even the official position is not secure. However, if this star is located in a prosperous position, the level of wealth and honor is beyond words.

玉蟾先生曰：火鈴陀羅金，擎羊刑忌訣。一名馬掃星，又名短壽殺。君子失其權，小人犯刑法。孤獨克六親，災禍常不歇。腰足唇齒傷，勞碌多蹇剝。破相又勞心，乞丐填溝壑。武曲並貪狼，一世招凶惡。疾厄若逢之，四時不離著。只宜山寺僧，金谷常安樂。

Master Yu Chán said: "The stars Mars, Bell Star, and Tuo Luo all possess the nature of metal, and together with Qing Yang they are called the诀 of punishment and prohibition. They are also known as the Star of Sweeping Horses or the Killer of Short Life. A gentleman encountering them will lose power, while a petty person will break the law. The master will be lonely, harming the Six Relations, and suffering continuous misfortunes. The waist, legs, lips, and teeth are easily injured, and throughout life there will be much toil and obstacles; the body may be disfigured, the mind troubled, and even become a beggar, with bones filling the ditches. If these stars appear together with Wu Qu and Tan Lang, one will constantly encounter evil throughout life; if they appear in the Health and Illness Palace, one will suffer illness all year round. Such a destiny is only suitable for a monk in a mountain temple, content with hardship, and thus can often enjoy peace and comfort, surpassing the wealthy in the Golden Valley Garden."

希夷先生曰：二星守身命，遇吉則吉，遇凶則凶。如四殺沖照，輕者下賤，重者六畜之命。僧道不正，女子婢妾，刑剋孤獨。大抵二星俱不宜見，定主破財，二限逢之必凶。

Master Xiyi said: "The stars 'Sky Void' and 'Earth Plunder' when occupying the body palace and destiny palace, bring good fortune if they meet auspicious stars, and misfortune if they meet inauspicious stars. If the four malefics 'Malefic of Injury,' 'Malefic of Delay and Entanglement,' 'Malefic of Violence,' and 'Hidden-fire Malefic' are opposing from the opposite palace, light cases result in low social status, severe cases make one's fate like that of an animal. Monks and Taoists may behave improperly, women may become servants or concubines, all indicating injuries, punishments, and loneliness. In general, these two stars are undesirable; encountering them inevitably leads to financial loss. When the major and minor periods reach the palace where these stars are located, there will certainly be danger."

歌曰：劫空為害最愁人，才智英雄誤一身。只好為僧並學術，堆金積玉也須貧。

The rhyme says: "Plunder malefic and Star of emptiness cause harm, causing great worry: even the most talented heroes and outstanding individuals may be ruined in their lives. Such a destiny is only suitable for becoming a monk or devoting oneself to a single discipline or skill; even if one has accumulated gold and jade, in the end one will inevitably become poor."

希夷先生答曰：天傷乃上天虛耗之神，天使乃上天傳使之神。太歲二限逢之不問得地否？只要吉多為福其禍稍輕，如無吉，值巨門、羊陀、火鈴、忌、天機，其年必主官災，喪亡破敗。

Master Xiyi replied: "Tian Shang" is the divine spirit in charge of loss and depletion by heaven, and "Tian Shi" is the divine spirit who conveys heavenly missions. When the flow year's Tai Sui and the great limit and small limit reach these two stars, there is no need to inquire whether they are in favorable positions; as long as there are many auspicious stars, one can still achieve blessings and suffer less misfortune. If there are no auspicious stars, but instead encounter "Jumen," "Qingyang," "Tuo Luo," "Huo Xing," "Ling Xing," "Hua Ji," and "Tian Ji," then this year will certainly bring lawsuits, calamities, or even loss and ruin.

限至大耗號天傷，夫子在陳也絕糧。天使限臨人共忌，石崇鉅富破家亡。

When one's destiny reaches "Great Expenditure," it is called encountering "Depletion and Injury." In the past, Confucius was trapped in the state of Chen and suffered from a shortage of food, which was exactly such a destiny. When "Messenger of Illness" appears in one's destiny, it is something everyone should avoid. Even a wealthy man like Shi Chong of the Western Jin dynasty, who was extremely rich, ended up losing his family and home when he encountered it.

希夷先生答曰：天刑守命身，不為僧道定主孤刑，不夭則貧。父母兄弟不得全，二限逢之主出家，官事牢獄失財，入廟則吉。

Master Xiyi replied: "The Star of Punishment" stationed in the命宫 and身宫 indicates that if the person does not become a monk or a Taoist priest, it will inevitably lead to loneliness and punishment, either short life or poverty. Parents and siblings cannot both be harmonious. When the great and small limits reach the Star of Punishment, it signifies monastic practice or legal troubles and financial loss. However, if the Star of Punishment falls in a flourishing position where it is "in its temple," it turns out to be auspicious.

歌曰：天刑未必是凶星，入廟名為天喜神。昌曲吉星來湊合，定然獻策到王庭。刑居寅上並酉戌，更臨卯位自光明。必遇文星成大業，掌握邊疆百萬兵。三不子兮號天刑，為僧為道是孤身。天哭二星皆同到，終是難逃有疾人。

The song says: "Tianxing" is not necessarily a malevolent star; when it is in a flourishing position, it is called "Tianxi Spirit." If auspicious stars such as "Wenchang" and "Wenqu" come to join it, the person will certainly be able to present strategies to the imperial court. When Tianxing is in theYin Palace, You Palace, Xu Palace, or is in theMao Palace, it itself is bright and powerful; if it meets with literary stars, it will surely achieve great accomplishments and command millions of troops to guard the borders. Tianxing is also known as "San Buzi," indicating shallow connections with the Six Relations; those who carry this star, whether they become monks or hermits, will be alone. If stars such as Tianku also join, they will ultimately be plagued by illness all their lives.

希夷先生答曰：天姚守身命，心性陰毒，多疑恐、善顏色、風流多婢、主淫。入廟旺主富貴多奴，居亥有學識。會惡星破家敗產，因色犯刑。六合重逢，少年夭折。若臨限不用媒妁，招手成婚。或紫微吉星加，剛柔相濟，主風騷，加紅鸞愈淫，加刑刃主夭。

Master Xiyi replied: "Tianyao" stationed in the body palace and the destiny palace indicates a person with a gloomy and cruel nature, being suspicious and easily frightened, skilled in grooming appearance and color, being flirtatious and lustful, with many concubines and servants, indicating indulgence in pleasures. If "Tianyao" is in a strong and flourishing position, it indicates wealth and numerous servants; those in the Hai palace have knowledge and insight. If it meets evil stars, it leads to the destruction of family and property, due to excessive indulgence in women and thus breaking the law. If "Tianyao" meets again in the "Liuxiong" palace, it indicates early death in youth. If "Tianyao" appears in the fortune period or limit, marriage does not require a matchmaker, and marriage can be arranged with a simple gesture. If "Ziwei" and other auspicious stars join, it indicates a balance of strength and flexibility, with the person being flirtatious and affectionate; adding "Hongluan" makes it even more indulgent; adding "Tianxing" and Qingyang (blade star) indicates short lifespan.

歌曰：天姚居戌卯酉遊，更入雙魚一併求。福厚生成耽酒色，無災無禍度春秋。天姚星與敗星同，號曰人間掃氣囂。辛苦平生過一世，不曾安跡在客中。人身偶爾值天姚，戀色貪花性帚凶。此曜若居生旺地，位登極品亦風騷。

The song says: "Tian Yao" falling in the Xu palace, or moving to the Mao or You palace, and then entering the Hai palace corresponding to the double fish, should all be considered together. Such people are born with great fortune, though they indulge in wine and women, they can still live through life without misfortune. If Tian Yao is in the same palace as the败耗 stars, it is called the "sweeping and noisy" star in the human world, causing a person to work hard all their life, wander around, and never have a stable place to settle. If a person's body palace or destiny palace happens to meet Tian Yao, they will be addicted to women, pursue pleasures, and have a fierce and uncontrollable nature. If this star is in a prosperous and thriving place, then even if one reaches the highest official rank, they will still be extravagant and unrestrained.

希夷先生答曰：哭虛為惡曜，臨命最非常。加臨父母內，破蕩賣田莊。若教身命陷，窮獨帶刑傷。六親多不足，煩惱過時光。東謀西不就，心事匆忙忙。丑卯申宮吉，遇祿名顯揚。二限若逢之，哀哀哭斷腸。

Master Xiyi replied: "The stars Tian Ku and Tian Xu are ominous stars. When they appear in the命宫, it is very unusual. If they are in the parents'宫, it indicates the family's fortune will be ruined and the land and estates will be sold. If the body宫 and命宫 also fall into a declining position, then poverty, loneliness, and bodily injuries will result. The Six Relations are often lacking, and one will spend days in worry and trouble. One plans in the east but fails in the west, and the mind is restless and hurried. However, if they fall into the Chou宫, Mao宫, or Shen宫, it is beneficial. If the Star of Fortune is also present, one's reputation can still be prominent. When the great and small limits reach these two stars, one will be deeply sorrowful and weep bitterly."

太極星纏，乃群宿眾星之主；天門運限，即扶身助命之源。在天則運用無常，在人則命有格局。先明格局，次看眾星。或有同年同月同日同時而生，則有貧賤富貴壽夭之異；或在惡限，積百萬之金銀；或在旺鄉，遭連年之困苦。禍福不可一途而惟，吉凶不可一例而斷。

The celestial stars and their movements generated from the Taiji are the rulers of all the stars and constellations; the destiny palace, as the heavenly gate, and the course of one's life span are the fundamental supports for the body palace and the destiny palace. In the heavens, the movements and changes of the stars are unpredictable; when they relate to human beings, destiny takes on various patterns. To examine a person's destiny, the first step is to identify the pattern, and then to consider the convergence of various stars. Some people are born in the same year, month, day, and hour, yet they have different fates of poverty or wealth, longevity or short life; some are walking through an evil period of fortune yet accumulate millions in gold and silver; others are in a flourishing palace position yet suffer hardship for many years. This shows that misfortune and fortune cannot be understood through a single path, and good and bad fortune cannot be judged by a single example.

要知一世之榮枯，定看五行之宮位。立命可知貴賤，安身便曉根基。第一先看福德，再三細考遷移，分對宮之體用，定三合之源流。命無正曜，夭折孤貧；吉有凶星，美玉瑕玷。既得根源堅固，須知合局相生；堅固則富貴延壽，相生則財官昭著。命好身好限好到老榮昌，命衰身衰限衰終身乞丐。

To understand one's lifetime of prosperity and decline, one must examine which of the Five Phases falls into which palace. Once the destiny palace is established, one can discern status and rank; once the body palace is set, one can understand the foundation. The first step is to examine the fortune virtue palace, then carefully investigate the migration palace, distinguishing which palace is the main element and which is the auxiliary element, and determine the origins and connections of the triple harmony palace. If the destiny palace lacks the fourteen main stars, it indicates a short life and poverty; even if there are auspicious stars, if they are mixed with malevolent ones, it is like a beautiful jade with blemishes. Once the foundation is solid, one must also look at the overall structure to see if they are mutually generating: a solid foundation brings wealth and longevity, while a structure that mutually generates brings evident wealth, official positions, and fortune. If the destiny palace is good, the body palace is good, and the fortune periods are also good, one will remain prosperous and flourishing in old age; if the destiny palace is weak, the body palace is weak, and the fortune periods are also weak, one will be a beggar all one's life.

夾貴夾祿少人知，夾權夾科世所宜。夾日夾月誰能遇，夾昌夾曲主貴兮。夾空夾劫主貧賤，夾羊夾陀為乞丐。廉貞七殺反為積富之人，天梁太陰卻作飄蓬之客。廉貞主下賤孤寒，太陰主一生快樂。先貧後富武貪同身命之宮，先富後貧只為運限逢劫殺。

When the native's命宫 is sandwiched between the Nobleman star and theWealth-salary star star, this is a rare and favorable configuration. Being sandwiched between化权 and化科 is even more desirable. Being sandwiched between the Star of brightness and prestige and the Wealth star and mother star is something few can encounter. Being sandwiched between the Star of examinations and documents and the Star of talent and eloquence indicates high status and prominence. However, being sandwiched between the Star of emptiness and the Plunder malefic indicates poverty and low status. Being sandwiched between the Malefic of injury and the Malefic of delay and entanglement can lead to becoming a beggar. When 廉贞 and General star and star of severity are together, they can accumulate wealth. When Shelter star and longevity star and Wealth star and mother star are together, the person becomes a wandering traveler. 廉贞 can also indicate low status and hardship, while Wealth star and mother star suggests a life of happiness. Those who become poor first and then rich have Wealth star and general star and Star of romance and desire together in their命宫. Those who become rich first and then poor are due to encountering thePlunder malefic and General star and star of severity, which are stars of calamity.

出世榮華權祿守財官之位，生來貧賤劫空臨財福之鄉。文曲武曲為人多學多能，左輔右弼稟性克寬克厚。天府天相乃為衣祿之神，為仕為官定主亨通之兆。苗而不秀科名陷於凶神，發不主財祿主躔於弱地。七殺朝斗爵祿榮昌，紫府同宮終身福厚。

Those who enjoy prosperity from birth have the stars of authority and fortune in the Wealth and Officialdom Houses. Those born into poverty have the stars of plunder and emptiness in the Wealth and Virtue Houses. Those with the stars of talent and eloquence and wealth and general in their fate are learned and capable. Those with the auxiliary auspicious stars in their fate are kind and generous. The stars of treasury and seal are the deities governing food, clothing, and salary; whether serving in government or holding office, they indicate a smooth and prosperous future. Those whose academic achievements are like rice ears without grain, meaning their fame and titles are empty, have the stars of academic success trapped among malevolent influences. Those who rise in status but lack wealth have the fortune star in a weak house. The pattern of "seven generals facing the pole star" indicates a flourishing and glorious career with rank and salary. The conjunction of the emperor star and treasury star indicates a deep and lasting fortune throughout life.

紫微居午無殺湊位至三公，天府臨戌有星扶腰金衣紫。科權祿拱名譽昭彰，武曲廟垣威名赫奕。科明祿暗位列三臺，日月同臨官居侯伯。巨機同宮公卿之位，貪鈴並守將相之名。天魁天鉞蓋世文章，天祿天馬驚人甲第。

The star of the Emperor is located in the Wu palace without any malevolent stars accompanying it, allowing one to attain the rank of the Three Grand Ministers. The Treasury star is in the Xu palace with auspicious stars supporting it, enabling one to wear golden belts and purple robes. When the stars of academic achievement, authority, and wealth are supported from all sides, one's reputation becomes prominent. The Wealth and General star is in a strong and favorable palace, bringing great fame. A pattern of academic brilliance and hidden wealth leads to high-ranking positions among the Three Platforms. When the Sun and Moon stars are in the same palace, one can attain the rank of Marquis. When the Dark star and the Star of Wisdom are in the same palace, one can hold a position of Grand Minister. When the Star of Romance and the Hidden-Fire Malefic are in the same palace, one can gain the reputation of a general or minister. The Yang Benefactor and Yin Benefactor indicate extraordinary literary achievements. When the Wealth-Salary star is with the Star of Movement, it signifies remarkable success in the imperial examinations.

左輔文昌會吉星尊居八座，貪狼火星居廟旺名鎮諸邦。巨日同宮官封三代，紫府朝垣食祿萬鍾。科權對拱躍三汲於禹門，日月並明佐九重於堯殿。府相同來會命宮全家食祿，三合明珠生旺地穩步蟾宮。七殺破軍宜出外，機月同梁作吏人。

The conjunction of "Left Assistant" and "Wen Chang" forms auspicious stars, enabling one to hold the position of the Eight Seats. The combination of "Tan Lang" and "Fire Star" in a strong and flourishing position brings fame that subdues all surrounding states. When "Ju Men" is in the same palace as the "Sun Star," one's official rank can be conferred upon three generations of ancestors. The "Zi Wei" and "Tian Fu" stars, when they support the命宫 from three directions, allow one to enjoy a salary of ten thousand measures. The "Hua Ke" and "Hua Quan" stars shining in the opposite palace are like a carp leaping three times over the Yu Gate (L龙门) to transform into a dragon. When the "Sun Star" and "Tai Yin" are both bright, it is like assisting the sage Emperor Yao in the palace of nine layers. When "Tian Fu" and "Tian Xiang" join the命宫, the whole family can receive salaries. The "Pearl Emerging from the Sea" pattern falling in the Triple Harmony's prosperous land allows one to steadily achieve success in the Imperial Examination. Those with "Qi Sha" and "Po Jun" in their命宫 are suitable for developing outside. Those with the combination of "Tian Ji," "Tai Yin," "Tian Tong," and "Tian Liang" are suitable for administrative posts.

紫府日月居旺地斷定公侯器，日月科祿丑宮中定是方伯公。天梁天馬陷飄蕩無疑，廉貞殺不加聲名遠播。日照雷門富貴榮華，月朗天門進爵封侯。寅逢府相位登一品之榮，墓逢左右尊居八座之貴。梁居午位官資清顯，曲遇梁星位至臺綱。

The stars "Ziwei" and "Tianfu" together with the Sun and Moon stars are in a strong position, indicating the character of a marquis or duke. The Sun and Moon stars along with "Huake" and "Hualu" in the Chou palace definitely lead to the position of a regional governor. The stars "Tianliang" and "Tianma" falling into a weak position mean a life of wandering and instability. If "Lianzhen" and "Qishashi" are not accompanied by malefic stars, they instead indicate widespread fame. The "Rizhao Leimen" pattern with the Sun shining on the Mao palace signifies wealth and honor. The "Yuelang Tianmen" pattern with the Moon shining brightly on the Hai palace indicates promotion, advancement, and being enfeoffed as a marquis. When the寅 palace meets "Tianfu" and "Tianxiang," one can attain the honor of a first rank official. When the Left and Right Auspicious Stars meet in the Chen, Xu, Chou, or Wei palaces, one's status ranks among the Eight Seats. The star "Tianliang" sitting in the Wu palace indicates a high and clear official position. When "Wenqu" meets "Tianliang," one can hold a position of governance and order in the imperial court.

科祿巡逢周勃欣然入相，文星暗拱賈誼允矣登科。擎羊火星威權出眾，貪武同行威鎮邊夷。李廣不封擎羊逢於力士，顏回夭折文昌陷於天傷。仲由威猛廉貞入廟遇將軍，子羽才能巨宿同梁沖且合。寅申最喜同梁會，辰戌應嫌陷巨門。

When "Hua Ke" and "Hua Lu" meet in the course of a person's fortune and destiny, it is like Zhou Bo's joyous entry into court to become prime minister during the early Han dynasty; when the literary star shines in secret, it is like Jia Yi's genuine success in the imperial examinations. When "Qing Yang" and "Huo Xing" appear together, their power and authority surpass others; when "Tan Lang" and "Wu Qu" are in conjunction, their fame and prestige intimidate the frontier tribes. Li Guang never received a marquis title throughout his life because "Qing Yang" met "Li Shi"; Yan Hui died young because "Wen Chang" was located in "Tian Shang." Zhong You (Zi Lu) was remarkably fierce and powerful because "Lian Zhen" was in its proper position and met "Jiang Jun" star; Dan Tai Zi Yu was exceptionally talented because "Ju Men" was in conjunction with both "Tian Tong" and "Tian Liang," which were in conflict and harmony. The寅 (Yin) and申 (Shen) palaces most favor the meeting of "Tian Tong" and "Tian Liang"; the辰 (Chen) and戌 (Xu) palaces should be cautious of the fallen "Ju Men."

祿倒馬倒忌太歲之合劫空，運衰限衰喜紫微之解凶厄。孤貧多有壽，富貴即夭亡。弔客喪門綠珠有墮樓之厄，官符太歲公冶有縲紲之憂。限至天羅地網屈原溺水而身亡，運遇地劫天空阮籍有貧窮之苦。文昌文曲會廉貞喪命天年，命空限空無吉湊功名蹭蹬。

When "Lúcún" and "Tiānmǎ" are inverted, it is most inauspicious if the current year's Tai Sui also meets "Dijie" and "Tiankong". When one's fortune and limits are declining, it is preferable for "Ziwēi" to come and resolve the dangers and difficulties. Those who are lonely and poor often live long, while the wealthy may die young. When "Diaokè" and "Sangmen" meet, it is like the case of Liu Zhu from the Jin Dynasty who fell from the building and died; when "Guanfu" meets the current year's Tai Sui, it is like the case of Gongyichang, Confucius' disciple, who was imprisoned. When the fortune reaches "Tianluo Diwang" (the Chen and Xu mansions), it is like Qu Yuan who drowned himself in the river; when the fortune meets "Dijie" and "Tiankong", it is like Ruan Ji's experience of being in a desperate situation. When "Wenchang" and "Wenqu" meet "Lianzhen", it indicates the loss of one's natural life. If the birth mansion is empty, the fortune is empty, and there are no auspicious stars to support, then the path to fame and official position will be difficult and unsmooth.

生逢天空猶如半天折翅，命中遇劫恰如浪裡行船。項羽英雄限至天空而喪國，石崇豪富限行劫地以亡家。呂后專權兩重天祿天馬，楊妃好色三合文曲文昌。天梁遇馬女命賤而且淫，昌曲夾墀男命貴而且顯。極居卯酉多為脫俗僧人，貞居卯酉定是公胥吏輩。

Being born with the star 「Sky Emptiness」 is like flying halfway through the air and having one's wings broken; encountering 「Earth Plunder」 in one's fate is like sailing through turbulent waves. A hero like Xiang Yu lost his kingdom when his destiny reached 「Sky Emptiness」; a wealthy man like Shi Chong lost his family and died in ruin when his fate reached 「Earth Plunder」. Empress Lu was able to dominate the court because she had two layers of 「Wealth-Salary」 and 「Star of Movement」 in her destiny; Consort Yang's penchant for lust was due to the triple harmony position of 「Talent Star」 and 「Examination Star」. When 「Shelter Star」 meets 「Star of Movement」, a woman's fate is lowly and promiscuous; when 「Examination Star」 and 「Talent Star」 are flanking the Sun and Moon stars, a man's fate is noble and glorious. The Emperor Star sitting in theMao Palace orYou Palace usually leads to becoming a transcendent monk; the star 「Lianzhen」 sitting in theMao Palace orYou Palace will certainly make one a common official or clerk in the government.

左府同宮尊居萬乘，廉貞七殺流蕩天涯。鄧通餓死運逢大耗之鄉，夫子絕糧限到天傷之內。鈴昌羅武限至投河，巨火擎羊終身縊死。命裡逢空不飄流即主疾苦，馬頭帶劍非夭折則主刑傷。子午破軍加官進祿，昌貪居命粉骨碎尸。

Left Auxiliary and Treasury Star in the same palace bring great honor, allowing one to serve a king. However, if廉贞 and Seven Killers are in the same palace, one will be wandering and homeless. Deng Tong of the Han dynasty eventually starved to death because his fortune reached the realm of Great Expenditure. Confucius faced food shortages in the state of Chen because his fortune entered the realm of Depletion and Injury. If the stars Hidden-fire malefic, Star of examinations and documents, Malefic of delay and entanglement, and Wealth star and general star converge in one's fortune, it indicates a risk of drowning and death. If 巨门, 火星, and 擎羊 meet, one faces the danger of suicide throughout their life. Encountering 空亡 in one's fate means either wandering or suffering from illness and hardship. The pattern of "Horse Head with Sword" indicates either early death or injury. If Expenditure star and vanguard star is in the Zi or Wu palace, it actually brings promotion and increased wealth. If Star of examinations and documents and Star of romance and desire share the命宫, there is a risk of being crushed to death.

朝斗仰斗爵祿榮昌，文桂文華九重貴顯。丹墀桂墀早遂青雲之志，合祿拱祿定為巨擘之臣。陰陽會昌曲出世榮華，輔弼遇財官衣緋著紫。巨梁相會廉貞並，合祿鴛鴦一世榮。武曲閒宮多手藝，貪狼陷地作屠人。天祿朝垣身榮貴顯，魁星臨命位列三臺。

The patterns "Chao Dou" and "Yang Dou" both indicate prosperity in rank, salary, and honor; the patterns "Wen Gui" and "Wen Hua" indicate high status in the imperial court. The patterns "Dan Chi" and "Gui Chi" enable one to achieve lofty ambitions early on; the patterns "He Lu" and "Gong Lu" ensure becoming a prominent minister. When the Star of Brightness and Prestige and the Wealth Star and Mother Star combine with the Star of Examinations and Documents and the Star of Talent and Eloquence, one enjoys honor and prosperity from birth. If the Auxiliary Auspicious Stars "Zuo Fu" and "You Bi" are in the Wealth and Salary宫, one can wear red and purple robes and hold high office. When the Dark Star and Star of Speech, the Shelter Star and Longevity Star, and the Star of Integrity are combined, and further joined by the Wealth-Salary Star, it is like a pair of mandarin ducks, bringing lifelong honor and prominence. If the Wealth Star and General Star is in an idle palace, one often relies on skills for a living; if the Star of Romance and Desire is in a depressed position, one can only be a butcher. If the Wealth-Salary Star is supported by three directions in the命垣, the person enjoys honor and prominence; if the魁星 (Yang Benefactor) and Yin Benefactor are in the命宫, one holds a position among the Three Platforms.

武曲居乾戌亥上，最怕太陰逢貪狼。化祿還為好，休向墓中藏。子午巨門石中隱玉，明祿暗祿錦上添花。紫微辰戌遇破軍，富而不貴有虛名。昌曲破軍逢刑剋多勞碌，貪武墓中居三十才發福。天同戌宮為反背，丁人化吉主大貴。巨門辰戌為陷地，辛人化吉祿崢嶸。機梁酉上化吉者，縱遇財官也不榮。

The star 'Wuqu' sitting in the Xu and Hai mansions of the dry position is most afraid of encountering 'Taiyin' and 'Tanlang' together. If there is 'Hualus' present, it is still considered favorable, but one must avoid being hidden in theStorage (storage) of Chen, Xu, Chou, and Wei. The star 'Jumen' in Zi and Wu mansions forms a beautiful configuration known as 'Yuzhi Yinhuang' (hidden jade in stone); when 'Minglu' and 'Anlu' are in harmony, it adds further brilliance. The star 'Ziwei' in Chen and Xu mansions encountering 'Pojun' results in wealth without prestige, and only an empty reputation. When 'Wenchang' and 'Wenqu' meet 'Pojun', there are frequent conflicts and hard work; when 'Tanlang' and 'Wuqu' are in theStorage (storage), they begin to gain fortune only after the age of thirty. The star 'Tiantong' in the Xu mansion is considered reversed and in a poor position, but those born in the Ding year who receive favorable transformations may achieve great prestige. The star 'Jumen' in the Chen and Xu mansions is considered a depressed position, but those born in the Xin year who receive favorable transformations can still achieve remarkable success in their official positions. The stars 'Tianji' and 'Tianliang' in the You mansion, even with favorable transformations, cannot achieve honor even when encountering wealth and official stars.

日月最嫌反背乃為失輝，命身定要精求恐差分數。陰騭延年增百福，至於陷地不遭傷。命實運堅稿田得雨，命衰限弱嫩草遭霜。論命必推星善惡，巨破擎羊性必剛。府相同梁性必好，火劫空貪性不常。昌曲祿機清秀巧，陰陽左右最慈祥。武破貞貪沖合曲全固貴，羊陀七殺相雜互見則傷。

The stars Taiyang and Taiyin should be avoided from falling in reverse positions, as they would lose their brilliance. Calculating the命宫 and 身宫 must be done with great care, for even a slight error can be detrimental. Secretly accumulating virtue and performing good deeds can prolong life and increase blessings, so even if the stars fall into adverse positions, one will not suffer serious harm. A prosperous destiny and stable fortune are like dry land receiving rain; a weak destiny and meager fortune are like tender grass being struck by frost. When judging a person's fate, one must investigate the nature of the stars: if Ju Men, Po Jun, and Qing Yang are in the chart, the nature is necessarily fierce and impetuous; if Tian Fu, Tian Xiang, Tian Tong, and Tian Liang are present, the nature is naturally kind and gentle; if Hong Xing, Di Jie, Tian Kong, and Tan Lang are in the chart, the nature tends to be fickle and changeable; if Wen Chang, Wen Qu, Lu Cun, and Tian Ji are present, the nature is refined and intelligent. If Taiyang and Taiyin are combined with Zuo Fu and You Bi, the nature is most compassionate. If Wu Qu, Po Jun, Lian Zhen, and Tan Lang are in proper aspect and the overall structure is complete, the person is destined for high status and prominence; however, if they are mixed with Qing Yang, Tu Luo, and Qi Sha, and these stars interact, harm will result.

貪狼廉貞破軍惡，七殺擎羊陀羅凶。火星鈴星專作禍，劫空傷使禍重重。巨門忌星皆不吉，運身命限忌相逢。更兼太歲官符至，官非口舌決不空。弔客喪門又相遇，管教災病兩相攻。七殺守身終是夭，貪狼入命必為娼。心好命微亦主壽，心毒命固亦夭亡。今人命有千金貴，運去之時豈久長。數內包藏多少理，學者須當仔細詳。

The stars Star of romance and desire, 廉贞, and Expenditure star and vanguard star are considered evil stars, while General star and star of severity, Malefic of injury, and Malefic of delay and entanglement are凶 stars. Malefic of violence and Hidden-fire malefic are particularly prone to causing disturbances, and Plunder malefic, Star of emptiness, Star of depletion and injury, and Star of the messenger of illness are even more ominous. Dark star and star of speech and 化忌 are both inauspicious, and it is especially undesirable for them to appear in the person's fortune period, body palace, or命宫. If this is combined with the flow year's 太岁 and Guanfu, legal disputes and verbal conflicts are inevitable. When 吊客 and The Mourning-and-Condolence spirit coincide, calamities and illness will surely come from both sides. Those with General star and star of severity guarding their body palace will ultimately have a short life, and women with Star of romance and desire in their命宫 are prone to falling into the streets. However, those with kind hearts can live long even if their fate is thin, while those with cruel hearts will die young even if their fate is strong. Nowadays, even if a person's destiny is worth thousands of gold, once their fortune declines, how can they last long? The principles hidden in the star system are countless; those who study it should examine them carefully.

府相之星女命躔，必當子貴與夫賢。廉貞清白能相守，更有天同理亦然。端正紫微太陽星，早遇賢夫性可憑。太陽寅到午，遇吉終是福。左輔天魁為福壽，右弼天相福來臨。祿存厚重多衣食，府相朝垣命必榮。紫府巳亥相互輔，左右扶持福必生。

The stars "Tian Fu" and "Tian Xiang" falling upon a woman's chart indicate that she will certainly have noble and distinguished children and a capable husband. The star "Lian Zhen" makes a woman virtuous and self-disciplined, and the principle of "Tian Tong" is similar. The stars "Zi Wei" and "Tai Yang" make a woman upright and proper, enabling her to meet a virtuous husband early in life, and her character is reliable. When "Tai Yang" moves from the寅 (Yin) palace to the午 (Wu) palace, which is a position of brightness, and meets auspicious stars, it ultimately brings good fortune. The stars "Zuo Fu" and "Tian Kui" signify blessings and longevity, while "You Bi" and "Tian Xiang" indicate the arrival of good fortune. The star "Lu Cun" makes a person substantial and ensures abundance in clothing and food. When "Tian Fu" and "Tian Xiang" are supported by other stars in the three directions, the destiny is certainly prosperous. When "Zi Wei" and "Tian Fu" are in the巳 (Si) and亥 (Hai) palaces respectively, they support each other, and with "Zuo Fu" and "You Bi" assisting from the sides, good fortune will surely arise.

巨門天機為破蕩，天梁月曜女命貧。擎羊火星為下賤，文昌文曲福不全。武曲之宿為寡宿，破軍一曜性難明。貪狼內狠多淫佚，七殺沉吟福不榮。

The stars 'Ji Men' and 'Tian Ji' entering a woman's chart indicate family ruin and instability. The stars 'Tian Liang' and 'Tai Yin' entering a woman's chart indicate poverty. The stars 'Qing Yang' and 'Huo Xing' entering a woman's chart indicate a low social status. The stars 'Wen Chang' and 'Wen Qu' entering a woman's chart result in incomplete fortune. The star 'Wu Qu' entering a woman's chart indicates being an orphan or a widow. The star 'Po Jun' entering a woman's chart indicates an unpredictable nature. The star 'Tan Lang' entering a woman's chart indicates a harsh and lustful inner nature. The star 'Qi Sha' entering a woman's chart indicates a reserved and melancholic disposition with no great fortune.

十干化祿最榮昌，女命逢之大吉昌。更得祿存相湊合，旺夫益子受恩光。火鈴羊陀及巨門，天空地劫又相臨。貪狼七殺廉貞宿，武曲加臨克害侵。三方四正嫌逢殺，更在夫宮禍患深。若是本宮無正曜，必主生離克害真。

The "Hua Lu" (wealth transformation) caused by the ten Heavenly Stems brings great prosperity and success. For a woman's chart, encountering this is highly auspicious. If she also has "Lu Cun" (wealth-salary star) present, it will enhance her husband's fortune and benefit her children, allowing her to receive blessings and honor. However, if "Huo Xing" (malefic of violence), "Ling Xing" (hidden-fire malefic), "Qing Yang" (malefic of injury), "Tuo Luo" (malefic of delay and entanglement), and "Ju Men" (dark star and star of speech), along with "Tian Kong" (star of emptiness) and "Di Jie" (plunder malefic), all appear together; or if "Tan Lang" (star of romance and desire), "Qi Sha" (general star and star of severity), and "Lian Zhen" (star of integrity and justice) are present, with "Wu Qu" (wealth star and general star) added, there will be harmful influences and disturbances. If the "San Fang Si Zheng" (three directions and four cardinal points) — that is, the native宫, the opposite宫, and the two triple harmony宫 — are all afflicted by malefic stars, the harm will be especially severe. If the native宫 itself does not have a main star governing it, it will certainly indicate separation between husband and wife, and real instances of harm and conflict.

已前論賦俱繫看命要訣，學者宜熟玩之，乃得原委也。

論對面朝斗格 子午宮逢祿存是也。詩曰：祿有對面在遷移，子午逢之利祿宜，德合吉壤人敬重，雙全富貴福稀奇。

The "opposite facing the star of wealth and salary" pattern refers to a configuration where the命宫 (destiny palace) is in the Zi (Rat) or Wu (Horse) palace, and the opposite migration palace has theWealth-salary star (wealth-salary star). The poem says: the禄 star is directly facing the命宫, sitting in the migration palace; when the命宫 is in the Zi or Wu palaces, it is most favorable for seekingofficial stipend and wealth. Virtue and auspicious positions combine, earning respect from many; both wealth and status are attained, and such good fortune is rare and precious.

論科權祿主格。詩曰：祿權周勃命中逢，入相王朝贊聖功，迎合權星兼吉曜，巍巍富貴列三公。

On the "Kē Quán Lù Zhǔ Gé" (Grades, Authority, Wealth, and Dominance Configuration). The poem says: During the early Han dynasty, Zhou Bo's destiny coincided with "Hua Lu" (Transformed Wealth) and "Hua Quan" (Transformed Authority), so he entered court as a prime minister, assisting the dynasty and achieving the accomplishments of a sage ruler. If the命宫 (destiny palace) can meet the "Hua Quan" star along with other auspicious stars, wealth and honor will be lofty and prominent, ranking among the Three Excellencies.

論左右朝垣格。詩曰：天星左右最高明，若在三方祿位興，武職高登應顯佐，文人名譽列公卿。

Discussing the "Left and Right Court Formation." The poem says: "The stars Left Auxiliary and Right Assistant are the most exalted heavenly stars. If they are located in the three directions of the命宫, the official position will flourish. Those who practice martial arts can rise to high military positions and become prominent ministers; scholars will gain widespread fame and hold positions among the ministers and high officials."

論兼文武格 文曲武曲在身命是也。詩曰：格名文武少人知，遇此須教百事通，更值命宮無殺破，滔滔榮顯是英雄。

Discussing "the combined literary and martial pattern," refers to the situation where both the "Star of Talent and Eloquence" and the "Wealth Star and General Star" are present in the natal palace and命宫. The poem says: this pattern is called literary and martial combined, and it is rarely known; when encountered, it certainly makes one successful in all affairs. If the命宫 is also not disturbed by malevolent stars, then one will achieve great honor and fame, with a grand appearance, being a heroic figure.

論文星朝命格。詩曰：文昌文曲最榮華，值此須生富貴家，更得三方祥曜拱，卻如錦上又添花。

Discussing the "Wen Xing Chao Ming" pattern. The poem says: "Wen Chang and Wen Qu are most favorable for glory and prosperity. Those who have this pattern must be born into a wealthy family. If there are also auspicious stars in the three directions, it is like adding flowers to a brocade."

論石中隱玉格 命在子午逢巨門是也。詩曰：巨門子午二宮逢，身命逢之必貴榮，更得三方科祿照，石中隱玉是豐隆。

The "stone containing hidden jade pattern" refers to a situation where the natal palace is in the Zi or Wu palace and meets the "Ju Men" star. The poem says: when "Ju Men" meets the Zi and Wu palaces, if the body palace and natal palace encounter it, there will certainly be high status and honor. If further supported by the "Hua Ke" and "Hua Lu" from the three directions, then it is like a jade hidden in a stone, with abundant blessings and prosperity.

論貪狼遇火名為火貴格 三合照身命是也。詩曰：火遇貪狼照命宮，封侯食祿是英雄，三方倘若無凶殺，到老應知福壽隆。

The combination of "Tān láng" and "Huǒ xīng" is called "Huǒ guì gé," which refers to these two stars shining in the Triple Harmony palace positions over the body palace and the destiny palace. A poem says: When "Huǒ xīng" meets "Tān láng" and shines over the destiny palace, this person can attain high official rank and enjoy honor and wealth, becoming a hero. If there are no evil stars among the three surrounding palaces, he will enjoy a long and prosperous life until old age.

論人有無商賈之命。如人命有巨日紫府守照，為人安分，有仁德耿直之心，作事無私，不行邪僻，不肯妄求，為士為官主有廉潔。如值月貪同殺忌，心多機關，貪財無厭，暮夜求利之輩。

To determine if a person has a destiny for engaging in business or trade, if their chart contains the stars 'Jumen', 'Taiyang', 'Ziwei', and 'Tianfu' sitting or shining upon their position, the person is upright and honest, with a heart of benevolence and integrity. They act without private motives, do not engage in improper actions, and do not seek undue gains. They are suitable for being a scholar or an official, and are characterized by integrity. However, if they encounter 'Taiyin', 'Tanlang', and 'Qishash' with 'Hua Ji' in the same palace, they become cunning and greedy for wealth, never satisfied. They are people who even calculate and scheme for profit during the night.

詩曰：貪月同殺會機梁，因財計利作經商。須知暮夜無眠睡，潮海營營自走忙。又曰：經商紫府遇擎羊，武曲遷移利市場。殺破廉貞同左右，羊鈴火宿遠傳揚。

The poem says: "Tianlang," Taiyin, and "Qishash" are in the same palace, and also meet "Tianji" and "Tianliang," so this person will engage in business for the sake of wealth and profit. Be aware that he cannot rest even at night, like waves chasing the sea, constantly busy and奔波. Another poem says: if a person's destiny for business has "Ziwei" and "Tianfu" meeting "Qingyang," or "Wuqu" in the migration palace, it is favorable for making a living in the market. When "Qishash," "Pojun," and "Lianzhen" are in the same palace as "Zuofu" and "Youbi," and also with "Qingyang," "Lingxing," and "Hengxin," his reputation can spread far and wide.

論人命有無藝術者。寅申巳亥安命或丑未辰戌遇有貪狼武曲在命化忌、加殺，必作細巧藝術之人也。

When discussing whether a person is destined to make a living through skill, if the命宫 is located in the four zodiac signs of寅, 申, 巳, or 亥, or in the four zodiac signs of丑, 未, 辰, or 戌, and if the命宫 is occupied by the stars Star of romance and desire and Wealth star and general star and they form a忌, along with the presence of malevolent stars, this person is definitely destined to become a craftsman who relies on delicate and skillful techniques.

詩曰：閒宮貪狼何生業，不是屠人須打鐵，諸般巧藝更能精，性好遊畋並捕獵。

The poem says: "The Star of Romance and Desire" falls in a powerless idle palace. How does this person make a living? He is not a butcher, but must become a blacksmith. He can master all kinds of intricate crafts skillfully. His nature is to like going out hunting and trapping animals.

又曰：破武未宮多巧藝，巳亥安命正相宜，破軍廉貞居卯酉，細巧之人定藝奇。又曰：天機天相命身中，帝令財星入墓中，天府若居遷動位，平生定是作奇工。

Another says: "Pòjūn" and "Wǔqū" in the Wei palace indicate many skills in craftsmanship; if the命宫 is in the Si or Hai palace, it is most suitable. "Pòjūn" and "Liánzhēn" in the Mao or You palace, such people who do fine work will certainly have extraordinary skills. Another says: "Tiānjī" and "Tiānxiàng" in the命宫 and 身宫, with the Emperor Star's wealth star falling into the Storage, and "Tianfu" in the main moving palace, this person will certainly engage in unusual craftsmanship throughout their life.

論出家僧道之命。紫微居卯酉遇劫空者，看命無正曜又兼羊火劫空化忌者，更看父母妻子三宮有殺者方可斷。及寅年申月巳日亥時四正殺湊化忌，男僧道，女尼姑。

When discussing the fate of someone becoming a monk or Taoist priest, if the Purple Emperor star is located in the卯 or酉 positions and also meets the 'Plunder Malefic' and 'Star of Emptiness', then we should check if the命宫 has no main star governing it and also has the 'Malefic of Injury', 'Malefic of Violence', 'Plunder Malefic', 'Star of Emptiness', and 'Transformation of Harm'. We should also examine the parents'宫, spouse's宫, and children's宫 to see if they have malefic stars. Only then can we make a judgment. Additionally, if someone is born in the寅 year, 申 month, 巳 day, or 亥 hour, and the four cardinal positions have malefic stars converging with the 'Transformation of Harm', then males will become monks or Taoist priests, and females will become nuns.

詩曰：極居卯酉遇劫空，十人之命九人僧，道釋巖泉皆有分，清閒幽靜度平生。

The poem says: The Emperor star is located in the Mao and You mansions and meets the Plunder malefic and the Star of Emptiness. Out of ten people, nine will become monks. Such people have a connection with the Daoist and Buddhist traditions and mountain rocks and springs. They spend their whole lives in tranquility and quiet.

又曰：命坐空鄉定出家，文星相會實堪誇，若還文曲臨身命，受蔭清閒福可嘉。又曰：天機七殺破梁同，羽客僧流命所逢，更若太陽兼帝座，伶仃孤克命方終。

Another says: If the命宫 is located in the Kongwang position, one is destined to become a monk or a recluse; but if the 文星 comes to meet it, it is indeed commendable. If the Star of talent and eloquence is present in both the身宫 and命宫, one can still receive protection and enjoy a peaceful and leisurely life, which is a great blessing. Another says: When theStar of wisdom and adaptability, General star and star of severity, Expenditure star and vanguard star, and Shelter star and longevity star are all in the same palace, this is the fate of a Taoist priest or a monk; but if the Star of brightness and prestige and The Emperor star are also added, then one will suffer from punishments and conflicts alone until old age.

論人命內犯孤克者。如克妻克子克父母內犯一二不為僧道亦作貧賤之人，第一看父母在廟旺地有無吉凶星辰，如在陷地加殺化忌必主刑剋，第二又看妻妾宮，三看子女宮廟陷之地，有無吉凶星辰，如在陷加殺化忌必鰥寡孤獨論斷。

Discussing a person's fate that involves the affliction of loneliness and mutual destruction. If a person suffers from the affliction of harming their wife, harming their children, or harming their parents, and commits one or two of these, then if they do not become a monk or a Taoist, they will become poor and lowly. First, check whether the parents' palace is located in a flourishing or strong position and whether there are auspicious or inauspicious stars. If it is in a declining position and further afflicted by malevolent stars or bad influences, it will certainly indicate harm and injury. Second, examine the wife and concubine palace (marriage palace). Third, check whether the children's palace is in a flourishing or declining position and whether there are auspicious or inauspicious stars. If it is in a declining position and further afflicted by malevolent stars or bad influences, then it should be interpreted as being a widower, a widow, an orphan, or an old person living alone.

論壽夭淫蕩。詩曰：貪狼入廟最高強，南極星同壽命長，北斗帝星無惡殺，綿綿老耋衍禎祥。

The length of life and whether one is licentious are discussed. The poem says: "Tanniang" entering its proper place is most vigorous. If it joins with the star of the southern pole and the old man star, longevity is assured. If the Emperor star of the Big Dipper, Ziwēi, is not disturbed by evil stars, it will ensure a long and healthy life, reaching old age, extending auspiciousness.

詩曰：七殺臨身終是夭，貪狼入廟定為娼，前示三合相臨照，也學韓君去竊香。

The poem says: "Seven Killers" appearing in the person's destiny palace indicate a short life; "Tianwang" entering its proper position suggests that women are prone to fall into the world of vice. If the aforementioned stars are mutually influencing each other in the Triple Harmony palace positions, the person will act like Han Shou who stole fragrance, engaging in private and improper relationships.

詩曰：身命兩宮俱有殺，貪花戀酒禍猶深，平生二限來符會，得意之中卻又沈。

The poem says: Both the body palace and the destiny palace have malevolent stars. This person is addicted to women and indulges in alcohol and food, leading to even greater calamities. Throughout his life, if the major and minor limits coincide in such positions, he will fall into ruin even when he is at the height of his success.

論定人殘疾。先看命宮星落陷，加羊陀火鈴劫空忌宿，又看疾厄宮星廟陷吉凶而斷可也。

To determine if a person has a disability, first check if there are any fallen stars in the命宫, and whether they are combined with the stars Malefic of injury, Malefic of delay and entanglement, Malefic of violence, Hidden-fire malefic, Plunder malefic, Star of emptiness, or 化忌. Then examine the stars in the疾厄宫 to see if they are in a favorable or unfavorable position, and whether they are auspicious or inauspicious. Based on this, the judgment can be made.

詩曰：命中羊陀殺守身，火鈴坐照禍非輕，平生若不常年臥，也作陀腰曲背人。

The poem says: If one's chart has the malefic of injury and the malefic of delay and entanglement guarding the body宫, and the malefic of violence and the hidden-fire malefic sitting on or shining upon it, misfortune will be severe. Such a person will either be bedridden for most of their life or become a hunchbacked cripple.

論定人破相。詩曰：相貌之中逢殺曜，更加三合又逢刑，疾厄擎羊逢耗使，折傷肢體不和平。

論定人聰明。詩曰：文曲天相破軍星，計策偏多性更靈，更若三方昌曲會，一生巧藝有聲名。

Discussing whether a person is intelligent, the poem says: "If the stars 'Wenqu', 'Tianxiang', and 'Pojun' enter one's destiny, they will make a person have particularly many strategies and plans, and an exceptionally sharp mind. If among the three aspects there are also 'Wenchang' and 'Wenqu' shining upon the person, then this person can gain fame throughout their life by relying on their skillful techniques."

論定人富足。詩曰：太陰入廟有光輝，財入財鄉分外奇，破耗凶星皆不犯，堆金積玉富豪兒。

Discussing whether a person is wealthy. The poem says: "The Wealth Star and Mother Star are in their proper place, shining brightly; the Wealth Star also falls into the Wealth Palace, forming an extraordinary pattern. If凶stars like 'Expenditure Star' and 'Star of Great Expenditure' do not conflict with it, this person will accumulate gold and jade, being the son of a wealthy family."

論定人貧賤。詩曰：命中吉曜不來臨，火忌羊陀四正侵，武曲廉貞巨破會，一生暴怒又身貧。

In judging whether a person is poor and lowly, the poem says: if one's destiny lacks auspicious stars to illuminate, but instead has the "Malefic of Violence," "Transformed Obstruction," "Malefic of Injury," and "Malefic of Delay and Entanglement" disturbing from the four cardinal positions; and if the "Wealth Star and General Star," "Rectitude Star," "Dark Star and Star of Speech," and "Expenditure Star and Vanguard Star" come together, then this person will have a short temper and suffer poverty throughout their life.

論定人作盜賊。詩曰：命逢破耗與貪廉，七殺三方照及身，武曲更居遷動位，一生面背刺痕新。

To determine if a person will become a thief, the poem states: if the命宫 (destiny palace) encounters「破军」(Expenditure star and vanguard star), 「大耗」(Star of great expenditure), as well as 「贪狼」(Star of romance and desire) and 「廉贞」(Star of integrity and sincerity), and 「七杀」(General star and star of severity) shines from the three directions onto the身宫 (body palace), while 「武曲」(Wealth star and general star) is located in the palace of movement, this person will have new tattoo marks on their face and back throughout their life, indicating they have been subjected to the punishment of黥刑 (tattooing as a form of punishment).

論定人一身駁雜。詩曰：吉曜相扶凶曜臨，百般巧藝不亨通，若逢身命遇惡曜，只做屠牛宰馬人。

Discussing whether a person's life is mixed and impure. The poem says: When auspicious stars are by one's side to assist, yet malevolent stars are also present, even with a hundred kinds of skillful techniques, one cannot achieve smooth success. If the body palace and the命 palace encounter evil stars, then one can only engage in the business of slaughtering cattle and horses.
