諸星吉多逢凶也吉，諸星惡多逢吉也凶。星更纏度，數分定局。重在看星得垣受制，方可論人禍福窮通。大概以身命為禍福之柄，以根源為窮通之機。紫微在命輔弼同垣，其貴必矣，財印夾命日月夾財，其富何疑。

When there are more auspicious stars in a person's chart, even if some malevolent stars are present, the outcome is still favorable. Conversely, if there are more malevolent stars, even with some auspicious ones, the result remains adverse. Each star moves according to its own degree, and destiny is divided into fixed patterns based on these movements. The key is to determine whether each star is in a favorable position and strong, or if it is restrained by other stars, before judging a person's fortune or misfortune. Generally, the body宫 and命宫 are the key to determining fortune and misfortune, while the birth year's heavenly stem and earthly branch serve as the key to determining wealth or poverty. If the Emperor star is in the命宫 and is accompanied by Left Assistant and Right Assistant stars in the same palace, the person will certainly achieve high status. If the Wealth star (武曲) and the Seal star (天相), which represents the official seal, are flanking the命宫, and the Star of Brightness and Prestige (太阳) and the Wealth star and Mother star (太阴) are flanking the财帛宫, then the person's wealth is beyond doubt.

蔭福臨不怕凶沖，日月會不如合照。貪狼居子乃為泛水桃花，天刑遭貪必主風流刑杖。紫微坐命庫則曰金輿捧櫛輦，臨官安文曜號為衣錦惹天香。

The stars Tianliang (Shelter Star) and Tian Tong (Blessing Star) shining together will not fear the impact of malevolent stars; the stars Taiyang (Star of Brightness and Prestige) and Taiyin (Wealth and Mother Star) sharing the same palace are not as powerful as when they are supported by the Triple Harmony palace. Tanlang (Star of Romance and Desire) in the Zi palace is called "Fàn Shuǐ Táohuā" (Water-Flowing Peach Blossom), indicating a person who is lustful and unrestrained; when Tianxing (Star of Punishment) meets Tanlang, it is certain that the person will suffer punishment due to romantic affairs. When Ziwēi (Emperor Star) is located in the storage position of the命宫 (Destiny Palace), it is called "Jinyu Pěng Zhì Niǎn" (Golden Carriage Carried by Attendants), indicating that the person is respected and honored by others with attendants carrying the carriage and combing the hair. When the Wen Chang (Star of Examinations and Documents) and Wen Qu (Star of Talent and Eloquence) are placed in the official position, it is called "Yī Jǐn Rě Tiān Xiāng" (Richly Clad and Attracting Heavenly Fragrance), indicating that the person achieves success and fame, with a reputation that is fragrant and esteemed.

太陰合文曲於妻宮翰林清異，太陽會文昌於官祿金殿傳臚。祿合守田財為爛穀堆金，財蔭居遷移為高商豪客。耗居敗地沿途丐求，貪會旺宮終身鼠竊。

The conjunction of Taiyin and Wenqu in the marriage宫 indicates a person holds a prestigious and clean official position, such as that of a Hanlin scholar. The conjunction of Taiyang and Wenchang in the official career宫 suggests a person achieves success by being called out in the golden hall and passing the imperial examination. Lucong and Hualu guarding the fields and wealth宫 indicate a person has so much grain that it becomes moldy and so much gold that it piles up into mountains. Wuqu (wealth star) and Tianliang (protection star) residing in the movement宫 indicate a person is a wealthy merchant who travels widely. Pojun (expenditure star) falling in a declining position indicates a person lives by begging along the way. Tanlang in a strong palace with no control or transformation indicates a person leads a life of petty theft and deceit.

殺居絕地生成三十二之顏回，日在旺宮可學八百年之彭祖。巨暗同垣於身命疾厄羸瘦其軀，凶星交會於相貌遷移傷刑其面。大耗會廉貞於官祿枷杻囚徒，官符會刑殺於遷移離鄉遠配。

The star of severity falls in the绝地 of the Five Phases, and the lifespan is like Yan Hui, a disciple of Confucius, only thirty-two years. The star of brightness and prestige resides in its旺宫, then one can emulate Peng Zhu, who is said to have lived eight hundred years, and enjoy a long life. The dark star ofDark star and star of speech falling in the body宫, destiny宫, or illness宫 causes the body to be weak and frail. Malevolent stars meeting in the appearance宫 or migration宫 will injure and harm the face. The star of great expenditure and Lianzhen meeting in the official position宫 indicates being imprisoned and suffering from imprisonment. The star of official symbols, the star of punishment, and the star of severity meeting in the migration宫 indicates leaving the homeland and being exiled far away.

七殺臨於陷地流年必見死亡，耗殺忌逢破軍火鈴嫌逢太歲。奏書博士並流祿以盡乎吉祥，力士將軍與青龍以顯其威福。童子限弱水上浮漚，老人限衰風中燃燭。遇殺必驚，流年最緊。人生發達限元最怕浮沉，一世迍邅命限逢乎駁雜。論而至此允矣玄微。

When the Seven Killers star falls into a weak position, encountering this in the current year's fortune is sure to bring about death. The Expenditure star, which is the most harmful, should be avoided when it combines with other malefic stars. The Malefic of Violence and the Hidden-fire malefic are most undesirable when they meet the current year's sovereign star. If the stars of the petition and the scholar appear together with the current year's Wealth-salary star, it is a sign of good fortune. When the warriors and generals appear together with the Azure Dragon, it shows power and blessings. For a child's fate, if the limit is weak, it is like foam on water; for an elderly person's fate, if the limit is weak, it is like a candle in the wind. Encountering malefic stars will cause fear, and the current year's fortune is especially important. Whether a person can rise in life is most feared when their fate begins with fluctuation; a lifetime of hardship is due to a mixed pattern of good and bad in their fate. Reaching this level of understanding, it can indeed be said that one has truly grasped the profound and subtle aspects.

前後兩凶神為兩鄰，加會尚可撐持，同室與謀最難堤防。片火焚天馬，重羊逐祿存。劫空親戚無常，權祿行藏靡定。君子哉魁鉞，小人哉羊鈴。凶不皆凶，吉無純吉。

The two evil stars in front and behind the命宫 are like having two wicked neighbors on either side; if they only come from the three directions, it is still manageable. But once they share the same palace and conspire in the same matter, it becomes very hard to guard against. A singleMalefic of violence can destroy theStar of movement, and twoMalefic of injury can drive away theWealth-salary star. ThePlunder malefic andVoid malefic cause the coming and going of relatives to be unpredictable; the化权 and化禄 make a person's movements and actions uncertain. TheYang Benefactor andYin Benefactor support people like gentlemen, while theMalefic of injury andHidden-fire malefic secretly harm people like villains. Not all evil stars are entirely harmful, and not all good stars are completely beneficial.

主強賓弱可保無虞，主弱賓強凶危立見。主賓得失兩相宜，運限命身當互見。身命最嫌羊陀七殺，遇之未免為凶。二限甚忌貪破巨廉，逢之定然作禍。

If the main stars are strong and the guest stars are weak, safety and peace can be maintained. However, if the main stars are weak and the guest stars are strong, danger will come immediately. The gains and losses of the main and guest stars should be balanced against each other. The great and small limits, along with the命宫 and 身宫, should also be considered together. The 命宫 and 身宫 should particularly avoid the stars Malefic of injury, Malefic of delay and entanglement, and General star and star of severity, as encountering them is sure to bring misfortune. The great and small limits should especially avoid the stars Star of romance and desire, Expenditure star and vanguard star, Dark star and star of speech, and 廉贞, as encountering them will certainly lead to calamity.

命運魁昌常得貴，限逢紫府定財多。凡觀女人之命，先觀夫子二宮。若值殺星定三嫁而心不足，或逢羊孛雖啼哭而淚不幹。若觀男命始以福財為主，再審遷移何如。二限相因，吉凶同斷。

When looking at a person's destiny, first examine the marriage宫 and children宫 for women. If these two宫 are occupied by malevolent stars, even after three remarriages, she will still not find contentment. If there are stars like Qingyang and Bo, she will cry every day, but her tears will never dry. For men, first look at the fortune virtue宫 and wealth宫, then examine the migration宫. The great limit and small limit are interrelated and influence each other; good and bad fortune must be considered together for a judgment.

限逢吉曜平生活動和諧，命坐凶鄉一世求謀齟齬。廉祿臨身女得純陰貞潔之德，同梁守命男得陽純中正之心。君子命中亦有羊陀火鈴，小人命內豈無科祿權星。要看得垣失垣，專論入廟失廟。若論小兒，詳推童限。小兒命坐凶鄉，二五歲必然夭折，更有限逢惡殺，五七歲必主災亡。

When a person's life limit meets auspicious stars, their whole life will be smooth and harmonious; if their命宫 is located in a place where凶星 gather, they will never achieve their goals in their endeavors. If 廉贞化禄 is located in the命宫, women will possess the virtue of pure阴 and chastity; if 天同 and 天梁 guard the命宫, men will have the virtue of pure阳 and uprightness. Virtuous people's命 will also have Malefic of injury, Malefic of delay and entanglement, Malefic of violence, and Hidden-fire malefic; can wicked people's命 not have 化科, 化禄, and 化权? The key is to see whether the stars are in their proper position or not, and to focus on whether they are in their temple or not. If we are to discuss the fate of a child, we must carefully calculate the童限. If the child's命宫 is located in a place of凶星, they will certainly die before the age of two or five; if their limit and destiny meet evil煞星 again, they will certainly face disaster or death at the age of five or seven.

文昌文曲天魁秀，不讀詩書也可人。多學少成只為擎羊逢劫殺，為人好訟蓋因太歲遇官符。命之理微熟察星辰之變化，數之理遠細詳格局之興衰。北極加凶殺為道為僧，羊陀遇惡星為奴為僕。如武破廉貪固深謀而貴顯，加羊陀空劫反小志以孤寒。

One's destiny includes the stars of文昌, 文曲, and 天魁, which are refined stars. Even without reading poetry and books, one is likable. One may learn much but achieve little, because 擎羊 meets 地劫 and evil stars. One tends to be involved in lawsuits, mostly because the flowing year's Tai Sui meets Guanfu star. The subtleties of destiny require careful observation of the changes of stars; the depth of numbers requires detailed analysis of the rise and fall of patterns. The Emperor star The Emperor star combined withInauspicious Sha leads one to become a monk or a Taoist. If Malefic of injury and Malefic of delay and entanglement meet evil stars, one becomes a servant. Stars like Wealth star and general star, Expenditure star and vanguard star, 廉贞, and Star of romance and desire originally indicate a person skilled in strategy and prominent; but once combined with Malefic of injury, Malefic of delay and entanglement, Void malefic, and Plunder malefic, they result in shallow ambitions and a lonely, humble life.

限輔星旺限雖弱而不弱，命臨吉地命雖凶而不凶。斷橋截路大小難行，卯酉二空聰明發福。命身遇紫府迭積金銀，二主逢劫空衣食不足。謀而不遂，命限遇入擎羊，東作西成，限身遭逢輔相。

Within the limits of one's life, the auxiliary stars are strong, so even though the limit itself is weak, it is not considered weak. If the destiny palace falls in a favorable place, even if there are ominous signs in the chart, it is not considered ominous. Encountering the broken bridge evil star and the stars of blockage and void, both the major and minor limits find it difficult to progress smoothly. However, the double voids in the卯 and酉 palaces actually bring intelligence and good fortune. When the destiny palace and body palace meet the Emperor star and Treasury star, wealth accumulates layer by layer. But when the destiny ruler and body ruler meet the plunder malefic and void malefic, even basic necessities like clothing and food are insufficient. Failures in plans are due to the destiny palace and limits encountering the malefic of injury. Initiating actions in the east but achieving success in the west is because the limits and body palace meet auxiliary auspicious stars like Left Auxiliary and Seal star.

科權祿拱，定為扳桂之高人，空劫羊鈴，作九流之術士。情懷暢舒昌曲命身，詭詐浮虛羊陀陷地。天機天梁擎羊會，早有刑而晚見孤。貪狼武曲廉貞逢，少受貧而後享福。此皆斗數之奧妙，學者宜熟思之。

If the three auspicious transformations, Huakē, Huaquan, and Hualus, illuminate the命宫, the person is certainly a highly accomplished individual who can achieve great success. However, if the void malefic, the plunder malefic, and the malefic of injury are gathered together, the person can only be a low-ranking practitioner. Those with a cheerful and open mind have the stars of examinations and documents, and the stars of talent and eloquence residing in their命宫 and身宫. Those who are deceitful and insincere have the malefic of injury and the malefic of delay and entanglement in adverse positions. When the star of wisdom and adaptability, the shelter star, and the malefic of injury meet, there will be injuries in early years and loneliness in old age. When the star of romance and desire, the wealth star, and the star of integrity meet, there will be some poverty in youth, but later they will enjoy prosperity. All these are the profound mysteries of the star chart system. Scholars should reflect and contemplate them repeatedly.

答曰：紫微屬土，乃中天之尊星為帝座，主掌造化樞機，人生主宰。仗五行育萬物，以人命為之立定數。安星纏各根所司，處年數常掌爵祿。諸宮降福能消百惡。須看三臺，蓋紫微守命是中臺，前一位是上臺，後一位是下臺。俱看在廟旺之鄉否，有何吉凶之守照。如廟旺化吉甚妙，陷又化凶甚凶。吉限不為美，凶限則凶也。

The Emperor star belongs to the Five Phases of Earth, and is the exalted star in the middle heavens, residing in the position of the Emperor's throne. It governs the fundamental mechanisms of the creation and transformation of heaven and earth, and is the master of a person's entire life. It nurtures all things through the energies of the Five Phases, and according to a person's birth time, it determines their destiny. When placing the stars, each star takes its position according to its own degree, fulfilling its respective duties. In the flow of years, the Emperor star often governs titles and salaries, and when it falls into any of the twelve palaces, it can bring blessings and dispel various malevolent stars. When examining the Emperor star, one should also consider the 'Three Ranks': the palace guarded by the Emperor star is considered the Middle Rank, the palace before the Emperor star's palace is the Upper Rank, and the palace after is the Lower Rank. These three palaces should be checked to see if they are in a flourishing or declining position, and which auspicious or inauspicious stars are accompanying them. If the Emperor star is in a flourishing position and encounters auspicious transformations, it is extremely favorable; if it is in a declining position and encounters inauspicious transformations, it is extremely unfavorable. In such cases, even if one is in a favorable period, it is not considered very good, and if one is in an unfavorable period, it becomes even worse.

人之身命若值祿存同宮，日月三合相照，貴不可言。無輔弼同行則為孤君，雖美玉不足。更與諸殺同宮，或諸凶合照，君子在野，小人在位。主人奸詐假善，平生惡積。與囚同居，無左右相佐，定為胥吏。

If a person's natal palace and命宫 contain the Emperor star (紫微) and the Wealth-salary star (禄存) together, and also receive the Star of brightness and prestige (太阳) and the Wealth star and mother star (太阴) from the Triple Harmony palace, their nobility is beyond description. However, if the Emperor star lacks the Auxiliary auspicious stars (左辅 and 右弼) to support it, it becomes a 'solitary king,' and even if it is a fine jade, it will still have a flaw. If furthermore it shares the palace with many malevolent stars or is illuminated by many凶星, it becomes a situation where a virtuous person is abandoned in the wilderness while wicked people occupy high positions: such people are cunning and pretend to be good, accumulating evil throughout their lives. If the Emperor star shares the palace with 廉贞 (which transforms into囚), and there are no Auxiliary auspicious star and Auxiliary auspicious star to assist, it is destined to be merely a low-ranking official in an administrative office.

如落疾厄、兄弟、奴僕、相貌、四陷宮，主人勞碌作事無成，雖得助亦不為福。更宜詳細宮度，應究星纏之論。若居官祿身命，三宮最要左右守衛。天相祿馬交馳，不落空亡，更坐生鄉，可為貴論。

If the Purple Emperor star falls in the sectors of illness, siblings, servants, or appearance, the person will be hardworking throughout their life but find it difficult to achieve success. Even if they receive help, it is not considered good fortune. In such cases, one should carefully calculate the degree of the sectors and deeply study the movement of the stars. If the Purple Emperor star is in the official position, body position, or destiny position, the most important thing is to have Left Assistant and Right Assistant stars guarding it. If the Emperor star is also present, and there is eitherWealth-salary star or transformed wealth along with the Star of Movement, and it does not fall into Kongwang, but is located in the long life position of the Five Phases, then it can be considered a noble destiny.

如魁鉞三臺星會吉星，則三臺八座矣。帝會文昌拱照，又得美限扶，必文選之職。帝降七殺為權，有吉同位，則帝相有氣。諸吉咸集，作武官之職。財帛田宅有左右守衛，又與武曲太陰同度，不見惡星，必為財賦之官。更與武曲祿存同宮，身命中尤為奇特。

If the stars Tian Kuai, Tian Yue, and San Tai are joined by other auspicious stars, they form the noble configuration known as "San Tai Ba Zuo." When the Emperor star Zǐwēi meets and shines upon the Wen Chang star and illuminates the命宫, and is supported by favorable periods and destinies, one is destined to hold an official position in the selection and appointment of civil officials. The Emperor star Zǐwēi can subdue the general star Qi Sha and transform its power into authority; if further aided by auspicious stars, the Emperor star and the ministering stars will possess life qi. When numerous auspicious stars gather together, one can hold a military position. If the fields of wealth and property are guarded by Left Fu and Right Bi, and also share the same degree with Wu Qu and Tai Yin, without the presence of malevolent stars, one is certainly an official in charge of money, grain, taxes, and levies. If further joined by Wu Qu and Lu Cun in the same palace, located in the body palace or the命宫, the configuration becomes exceptionally unique and outstanding.

男女宮得祥佐吉星，主生貴子。若獨守無相佐，則子息孤單。妻宮會吉，得貴美夫婦諧老，亦要無破殺。遷移雖是強宮，更要相佐，有吉星照命，則因人之貴。福德在男為陷地，女為廟樂，逢吉則吉，逢凶則凶。

The Emperor star in the Children's宫 indicates that if it is supported by auspicious stars, it will result in the birth of a noble child; however, if it is alone without any supporting stars, the children will be few. When the Emperor star is in the Marriage宫 and combines with auspicious stars, it will lead to a wealthy and beautiful spouse, with a harmonious and long-lasting marriage, but this also requires that no malevolent stars interfere. Although the Migration宫 is a strong position for the Emperor star, it still needs supporting stars; if auspicious stars illuminate the命宫, one can achieve prominence by relying on others. The Emperor star in the Fortune Virtue宫 is a disadvantageous position for men but a flourishing position for women. When auspicious stars are present, it brings good fortune; when malevolent stars are present, it brings misfortune.

希夷先生曰：紫微為帝座，在諸宮能降福消災，解諸星之惡虛。能制火鈴為善，能降七殺為權。若得府相左右昌曲吉集，無有不貴。不然亦主鉅富。縱有四殺沖破亦作中局。

Master Xiyi, Chen Tuan, said: The Purple Micro star is the Emperor star, located in any palace, it can bring blessings and eliminate disasters, neutralizing the malevolent effects of other stars. It can subdue the Mars and Bell stars, transforming them into beneficial forces, and can subdue the Seven Killers, turning them into authority. If one can receive the auspicious stars of Treasury, Seal, Left Auxiliary, Right Auxiliary, Examination, and Talent, all together, there is no failure in achieving high status; even if one does not achieve high status, it indicates great wealth. Even if the four malefic stars of Qingshang, Tuoluo, Mars, and Bell stars come to break the pattern, it is still considered a medium-level configuration.

若遇破軍辰戌丑未，主為臣不忠，為子不孝之論。女命逢之作貴婦斷。加殺沖破，亦作平常不為下賤。

If the Emperor star is in the Chen, Xu, Chou, or Wei palace and meets the Expenditure star, it indicates a person who is unfaithful as a subject or disrespectful as a son. For a woman's chart, if the Emperor star is present, she can be judged as a noble wife; even if there are evil stars conflicting and breaking through, it only signifies an ordinary fate, without descending to a lowly status.

歌曰：紫微原屬土，官祿宮主星，有相為有用，無相為孤君，諸宮皆降福，逢凶福自申，文昌發科甲，文曲受皇恩，僧道有師號，快樂度春秋，吉星皆拱照，為吏協公平。

The song says: The Purple Emperor star belongs to the Five Phases of Earth by nature, and it is the main star of the official destiny palace. With the assistance of stars like Tian Xiang, it can exert its power; without such an auxiliary star, it becomes a lonely emperor. It can bring blessings to all twelve palaces, and even when encountering malevolent stars, its fortune will still manifest. When the Purple Emperor meets the Star of Examinations and Documents, one can attain academic success and official rank; when it meets the Star of Talent and Eloquence, one can receive imperial favor. Monks who possess this star may be granted a title by the emperor and live happily year after year. If many auspicious stars converge, even serving as a minor official, one can perform duties justly and competently.

女人會帝座，遇吉事貴人，若與桃花會，飄蕩落風塵，擎羊火鈴聚，鼠竊狗偷群，三方有吉拱，方作貴人評，若還無輔弼，諸惡共飲凌，帝為無道主，考究要知因，二限若遇帝，喜氣自然新。

A woman's destiny may reach the Purple Micro Emperor Star, and if she meets auspicious stars, she can serve noblemen and enjoy high status. But if she meets the Taohua star, she may instead drift into a life of hardship and fall into the entertainment industry. If the Malefic of Injury, the Malefic of Violence, and the Hidden-fire Malefic gather together, she becomes part of a group engaged in dishonest activities. Only when three directions have auspicious stars supporting her can she be considered a nobleman. If there are no Left Auxiliary or Right Auxiliary stars to assist, the evil stars will together oppress the Emperor Star, and the Purple Micro becomes a tyrannical ruler. Those who study divination must clearly understand the reasons behind this. When the major and minor life periods reach the Purple Micro, natural happiness will be renewed.

玉蟾先生曰：紫微乃中天星主，為眾星之樞紐，為造化也。大抵為人命之主宰，掌五行育萬物，各有所司。以左輔右弼為相，以天相昌曲為從，以魁鉞為傳令，以日月為分司，以祿馬為掌爵之司，以天府為帑藏之主，身命逢之，不勝其吉。

Master Yu Chán said: The Purple Micro is the master of all the stars in the sky, the central hub that governs the movement of all stars, and oversees creation and transformation. It is generally the master of human destiny, controlling the Five Phases and nurturing all things. Each star has its own duty: Left Assistant and Right Assistant serve as ministers, Tian Xiang, Wen Chang, and Wen Qu serve as attendants, Tian Kui and Tian Yue act as messengers conveying orders, Sun and Tai Yin are subordinate officials in charge of different areas, Lu Cun and Tian Ma manage the offices of titles and salaries, and Tian Fu is the chief official in charge of treasury and wealth. When the body palace or the destiny palace meets Purple Micro, the auspiciousness is beyond description.

如遇四殺（羊陀火鈴）、劫空沖破，定是僧道。此星在命，為人厚重，面紫色，專作吉斷。

But if one encounters the four malefics, which are the original annotations referring to Qingyang, Tuoluo, Huoxing, and Lingxing, and these are further broken by Di Jiao and Di Kong, then it is destined to become a monk or a Taoist priest. Those with Zhimi sitting in the命宫 are people who are sincere, steady, and have a purple complexion. Overall, the interpretation should be favorable.

答曰：天機屬木，南斗第三益算之善星也。後化氣曰善，又得地合之行事，解諸星之順逆。定數於人命，逢諸吉咸集，則萬事皆善。勤於禮佛，敬乎六親，利於林泉，宜於僧道。

The Star of Wisdom and Adaptability belongs to the Wood element and is the third star of the Southern Dipper. It adds longevity to a person and is a benevolent star. Later, it transforms into the concept of "goodness" and can act appropriately by taking advantage of favorable conditions, thus neutralizing the positive or negative influences of other stars. In a person's destiny chart, it determines their fate: if it is accompanied by many auspicious stars, then everything in life will be good. Such people are diligent in worshipping the Buddha, respect the Six Relations, are suitable for living in seclusion among mountains and springs, and are also suitable to become monks or Taoist priests.

無惡虐不仁之心，有靈機應變之志。淵魚察見，作事有方。女命遇之為福，逢吉為吉，遇凶為凶。或守於身，更逢天梁，必有高藝隨身。習者宜詳玩之。

Those with the Star of Wisdom and Adaptability in their命盘 do not harbor thoughts of cruelty, wickedness, unkindness, or injustice. Instead, they possess a flexible and resourceful mind. They observe matters with clarity, as if seeing fish swimming in a deep abyss. They act with order and method. For a woman's chart, encountering the Star of Wisdom and Adaptability is a blessing. If it joins with auspicious stars, it brings good fortune; if it joins with malevolent stars, it brings misfortune. 希夷先生曰：天機益壽之星，若守身命，主人異常。與天梁、左右、昌曲交會，文為清顯，武為忠良。若居陷地，四殺沖破，是為下局，當為僧道之清閒。

Master Xiyi said: The Star of Wisdom and Adaptability is a star that can increase longevity. If it is located in the body palace or the命宫, the person's talent and nature differ from ordinary people. When it combines with Tianliang, Zuo Fu, You Bi, Wen Chang, and Wen Qu, if it is in the literary aspect, the person will be distinguished and achieve success; if in the military aspect, the person will be loyal and virtuous. However, if it is in a declining position and is attacked by the four malefics: Qingyang, Tuoluo, Huoxing, and Lingxing, then it is a low-ranking configuration, suitable only for a quiet life as a monk or hermit.

凡入二限逢之，興家創業更改。女人吉星拱照，主旺夫益子。有權祿則為貴婦。落局羊陀火忌沖破，主下賤殘疾刑剋。

Whenever the Great Limit or Small Limit reaches the Star of Wisdom and Adaptability, there are often matters of establishing a family and business, or changes and transformations. Such people are strategic and skillful in their actions, naturally extremely intelligent and lofty-minded, and their deeds are inclined towards elegance. They can stand out among others. When the Star of Wisdom and Adaptability combines with auspicious stars, it signifies a life of happiness and blessings. If it combines with noble patterns, one may enter the Hanlin Academy. When the Star of Wisdom and Adaptability is in the same palace as the Dark Star and Star of Speech, one can hold a military position and command respect at the borders. However, it also requires the combination with the authority star and malevolent stars to achieve fame and success.

天梁星同位，定作道與僧，女人若逢此，性巧必淫奔，天同與昌曲，聚拱主華榮，辰戌子午地，入廟有功名，若在寅卯位，四殺並破軍，羊陀及火鈴，若與諸殺會，災患有虛驚，武暗廉破會，兩目少光明，二限臨此宿，事必有變更。

The Star of Wisdom and Adaptability and the Shelter Star are in the same palace, indicating that this person is likely to become a monk or a Taoist priest. For a woman, if the Star of Wisdom and Adaptability appears in her destiny, although her nature is clever and quick-witted, she may easily run away and lose her virtue. When the Star of Wisdom and Adaptability is joined by the Star of Blessings, the Star of Examinations and Documents, and the Star of Talent and Eloquence, the person will have great prestige and prosperity. If the Star of Wisdom and Adaptability is in the palace of Chen, Xu, Zi, or Wu, it is in its prime and can bring fame and official rank. However, if it is in the palace of Yin or Mao and is joined by the four malefics along with the Expenditure Star, namely the Malefic of Injury, the Malefic of Delay and Entanglement, the Malefic of Violence, and the Hidden-Fire Malefic, there will be troubles and disturbances, but mostly they will be just worries without real harm. The Master Yu Chán said: Tian Ji is a benevolent star of the Southern Dipper, so its transformed energy is called "benevolence." It assists the Emperor star Zǐwēi in issuing commands and handling affairs, resolving the rebelliousness of various malevolent stars. In a person's destiny chart, it determines their fate: if it meets auspicious stars, it indicates wealth and honor; even if it encounters malevolent stars causing clashes and control, the person will still be benevolent and upright. Such people are filial to their six relations and loyal, diligent in worshipping Buddha, and free from any unkind or unrighteous deeds. They have a spirit of adaptability and versatility. For women, encountering Tian Ji often indicates good fortune and longevity. Tian Ji is strong when it is in a favorable or flourishing position, but weak when it falls into a declining or unfavorable position.

答曰：太陽星屬火，日之精也。乃造化之表儀，在數主人有貴氣，能為文為武。諸吉集則降禎祥，處黑星則勞心費力。若隨身命之中，居於廟樂之地，為數中之至曜，乃官祿之樞機。後化貴化祿，最宜在官祿宮。男作父星，女為夫主。命逢諸吉守照，更得太陰同照，富貴全美。

The Sun Star belongs to the Fire element and is the essence condensed from the Sun. It is the external manifestation of the creation of heaven and earth, and in the system of star divination, it signifies a noble and dignified aura, capable of both literary and military achievements. When gathered with other auspicious stars, it brings good omens; however, when placed among dark and malevolent stars, it causes one to exert great mental effort. If the Sun Star is located in the temple or flourishing position along with the native's命宫 (life宫) and身宫 (body宫), it becomes the most esteemed star in the system, serving as the key to official positions and honor. Later, it transforms into wealth and honor, and is most suitable when placed in the official position宫. In a male's chart, it represents the father, while in a female's chart, it represents the husband. If the native's命宫 is guarded by many auspicious stars along with the Sun Star, and further supported by the Too Yin Star, both wealth and status are fully attained.

女命逢之，限旺亦可共享。與鈴刑忌集限，目下有憂，或生克父母。刑殺聚限，有傷官之憂，常人有官非之撓。與羊陀聚則有疾病，與火鈴合其苦楚不少。推而至此，禍福瞭然。

However, if the Hidden-Fire Malefic (Bell Star), Star of Punishment, and the transformed inauspiciousness (化忌) gather in the same limit, there will be current troubles or conflicts with parents. Thus, the fortune and misfortune become clear at a glance.

遷移宮其福與身命不同，難招祖業，移根換葉，出祖為家。限步逢之，決要動移。女命逢之不吉，若福德宮有相佐，招賢明之夫。父母宮男子單作父星，有輝則吉，無輝克父。

The Star of Brightness and Prestige falling in the Migration Palace differs from when it falls in the Body Palace or Life Palace: such people find it difficult to inherit family property, often needing to move away from their original family and establish a new household. When this period arrives, there will certainly be matters involving movement. For a female's chart, the Star of Brightness and Prestige falling in the Migration Palace is unfavorable; however, if the Fortune Virtue Palace is supported by auspicious stars, she may marry a wise and virtuous husband. The Star of Brightness and Prestige falling in the Parents Palace represents the father in a male's chart: if the star has brightness, it is favorable; if not, it indicates a negative influence on the father.

希夷先生曰：太陽星周天歷度輸轉無窮。喜輔弼而佐君象，以祿存而助福。所忌者，巨暗遭逢。所樂者，太陰相旺。諸宮會吉則吉，黑道遇之則勞。守人身命，主人忠鯁，不較是非。

Master Xiyi said: The Star of Brightness and Prestige moves around the celestial sphere, its degrees constantly turning without end. It favors the Auxiliary Auspicious Stars, Left and Right, to form the appearance of assisting the sovereign, and favors the Wealth-Salary Star to enhance blessings. It is to be avoided when encountering the Dark Star, the Star of Speech, and it is favorable when it shares the prosperous and strong condition with the Wealth Star and Mother Star. When the Star of Brightness and Prestige combines with auspicious stars in various palaces, it brings good fortune; when it reaches the dark Black Path position, it indicates toil and hardship. If it resides in a person's body palace or destiny palace, the person is loyal and straightforward, not quarrelsome about right and wrong.

若居廟旺，化祿化權，允為貴論。若得左右、昌曲、魁鉺三合拱照財官二宮，富貴極品。加四殺，亦主飽暖，僧道有師號。女人廟旺，主旺夫益子，加權祿封贈，加殺主平常。

If the Sun is in its exalted position and also forms a beneficial transformation of wealth and authority, it can indeed be judged as a noble destiny. If it is further supported by Left Auxiliary and Right Auxiliary stars, the Star of Examinations and Documents, the Star of Talent and Eloquence, the Yang Benefactor, and the Yin Benefactor, all converging from the Triple Harmony direction to illuminate the wealth and officialdom sectors, it is the supreme level of wealth and honor. Even if combined with the four malevolent stars, it still ensures sufficient food and clothing; for a person who has left home for religious life, they can attain the title of a master. For a woman's chart, if the Sun is in its exalted position, it signifies a prosperous husband and beneficial children; if it also forms a transformation of authority and wealth, she may receive imperial honors; but if malevolent stars are added, it becomes an ordinary destiny.

歌曰：太陽原屬火，正主官祿星，若居身命位，稟性最聰明，慈愛量寬大，福壽享遐齡，若與太陰會，驟發貴無倫，有輝照身命，平步入金門，巨門不相犯，升殿承君恩。

The song says: The Sun Star belongs to the Fire element by nature, and it is the star that governs official rank. If it is located in the body palace or the destiny palace, a person's innate intelligence is extremely sharp, he is kind and has a broad mind, and can enjoy blessings and a long life. If the Sun Star combines with the Taiyin Star, there will be sudden success and great prestige. If the Sun Star shines brightly upon the body palace and destiny palace, a person can rise smoothly to official positions. As long as the Jumen Star does not interfere, he can enter the palace, receive the favor of the sovereign.

偏垣逢暗度，貧賤不可言，男人必克父，女命夫不全，火鈴逢若定，羊陀眼目昏，二限若值此，必定賣田園。

If the Sun is placed in a skewed and improper palace and moves to a dark degree, the poverty and low status are beyond measure. For a man, it will certainly cause the father's death; for a woman, her husband will be hard to keep. If it meets with the Mars or the Hidden-fire malefic, misfortune becomes certain. If it meets with the Malefic of injury or the Malefic of delay and entanglement, the eyes will become dim and unclear. If the great and small limits arrive at such a Sun, it will certainly lead to the sale of fields and homes.

玉蟾先生曰：太陽司權貴為文，遇天刑為武。在寅卯為初升，在辰巳為升殿。在午為日麗中天，主大富貴。在未申為偏垣，作事先勤後惰。在酉為西沒，貴而不顯，秀而不實。在戌亥子為失輝，更逢巨暗一生勞碌貧忙。更主眼目有傷，與人寡合招非。

Master Yu Chan said: The Sun Star governs nobility and prestige. If it is associated with literature, it brings fame in the literary field. If it meets the Star of Punishment, it shifts to military positions. The Sun Star in the寅 and卯 palaces signifies the rising sun; in the辰 and巳 palaces, it represents ascending to the hall of power; in the午 palace, it is "the sun shining at noon," indicating great wealth and honor; in the未 and申 palaces, it is in a biased position, leading to initial diligence followed by laziness; in the酉 palace, it is the setting sun, indicating although noble, it is not prominent, with talent but no results; in the戌,亥, and子 palaces, it loses its brilliance. If it also meets the Dark Star, it leads to a life of toil and poverty, and also indicates eye injuries, difficulty in getting along with others, and causing trouble.

女命逢之，夫星不美，遇耗則非禮成婚。若與祿存同宮，雖主財帛，亦辛苦不閒。若與左右同宮則為貴論。又嫌火鈴、刑忌，未免先克其父。此星男得之為父星，女得之為夫星。

For a female's chart, if the Sun is in a dimmed state, it indicates the star representing the husband is not auspicious.
