Earth Ghost Day

秋百日內應，如遇天地黑道，不雨即陰也。己丑壬胡並，乙酉，癸巳丁巳及辛丑，甲午戊午庚戍神，萬般逢著皆殃咎。

The verification of "Earth Ghost Days" mostly occurs within a hundred days of autumn. If these days coincide with the Black Path of Heaven and Earth, rain will not fall but the sky will certainly be gloomy. A mnemonic verse compiles these days as follows: Jichou and Renhu, Yiyou, plus Guisi, Dingsi, and Xinchou, along with Jiawu, Wuwu, and Gengxu, these are the divine calamities. Any affair encountering these days will bring misfortune and calamity.

神白經云：國家用此日必定損宮闕，臣僚用此日，必定損勳烈，上官用此日，官事常不絕，呼迎用此日，定是主離別，開張用此日，本利盡消折，修造用此日，樑棟不相接，行船用此日，桅梢寸寸折，動土用此日，憂惱不常輟，葬埋用此日，哭聲常不歇，出行用此日，路逢虎狼啜，行兵用此日，人馬化為血，求醫用此日，名醫難辨別。

The Sheng Bai Jing says: If the state chooses such a day for affairs, the palace will certainly suffer damage; if ministers choose such a day, their achievements will certainly be diminished; if one takes office on such a day, lawsuits will never cease; if one marries or entertains guests on such a day, separation is certain; if one opens a business on such a day, all capital and interest will be lost; if one builds a house on such a day, the beams will not fit together; if one travels by boat on such a day, the mast will break piece by piece; if one breaks ground on such a day, worries and troubles will never end; if one buries the dead on such a day, mourning will never cease; if one travels far on such a day, one will meet tigers and wolves on the way; if one goes to war on such a day, soldiers and horses will turn into blood; if one seeks medical treatment on such a day, even the most skilled physician will be unable to diagnose clearly.

甲辰乙巳與壬申，丙申丁亥及庚辰，戊戍癸亥加辛巳，己丑都來十座神，國家用兵須大忌，龍蛇出穴也妨身，人生若還值此日，倉庫金銀化作塵。寸珠尺璧云：凡四柱帶十惡大敗，主淫亂。

The "Ten Evils Great Defeat" consists of ten days: Jiachen, Yisi, Renshen, Bingshen, Dinghai, Gengchen, Wuxu, Guihai, Xinsi, and Jichou. A mnemonic says: the state should avoid these days when sending out troops; even heroic figures like dragons and snakes emerging from their holes would suffer harm if they encountered them. If a person is born on such a day, the silver and gold stored in the warehouse would turn to dust. The "Inch Jewel Foot Measure" states: those whose four pillars include the "Ten Evils Great Defeat" are prone to being licentious and disorderly.

春庚辛，夏壬癸，秋甲乙，冬丙丁。三曆會同有正四廢日，春庚申、辛酉，夏壬子、癸亥，秋甲寅乙卯，冬丙午，丁巳，此五行無氣之日，福德不遊之辰，百事並凶，又有大四廢日，春申酉，夏亥子，秋寅卯，冬巳午，百事凶。

The "Four Wastes Days" are paired with the heavenly stems according to the seasons: in spring it is Geng and Xin, in summer it is Ren and Gui, in autumn it is Jia and Yi, and in winter it is Bing and Ding. The "Correct Four Wastes Days" as established in the "Three Calendars in Harmony" are: in spring Gengshen and Xinyou, in summer Renzi and Guihai, in autumn Jiayin and Yimao, and in winter Bingwu and Dingsi. These are days when the Five Phases have no life qi, and the gods of fortune and virtue do not come to visit, making any activity inauspicious. In addition, there are "Great Four Wastes Days": in spring they fall on Shen and You, in summer on Hai and Zi, in autumn on Yin and Mao, and in winter on Si and Wu. These days are also equally inauspicious for all affairs.

甲乙是午丙丁辛，戊己還從日入輪，庚辛平旦君須避，壬癸禺中敗是真。（八字金書）

The "Ten Times of Rest and Waste" select times based on the day stem: On Jia and Yi days, the noon hour is considered a time of rest and waste; on Bing and Ding days, the original text says "Bing Ding Xin"; on Wu and Ji days, one should refer to the time of day entry, which is the You hour; on Geng and Xin days, one must avoid the early morning hour, which is the Yin hour; on Ren and Gui days, the Si hour, known as Yu Zhong, is considered the true time of failure. This rule comes from the "Book of Eight Characters in Gold."

取太歲前五辰是，日時遇之平生多官災，更並羊刃乃徒行之命。從太歲數起，至第五辰是。古詩云：五官六死十二病，三喪十一客來臨。

The "Guanfu Kill" is determined by counting five positions backward from the current year's heavenly stem. If this position appears in the day pillar or the hour pillar, the person is likely to face legal troubles throughout their life. If it also appears together with "Yangren," it indicates a fate of imprisonment or serving a sentence in a distant place. When calculating, start counting from the position of the heavenly stem of the current year and count five positions back. Ancient poems have compiled the positions of such divine omens into a mnemonic: the fifth position is Guanfu, the sixth is death symbol, the twelfth is Bingfu, the third is the Mourning-and-Condolence spirit, and the eleventh is the guest of mourning.

取病符對沖是，月日時犯之，無貴神救，凶惡短折。

The "Dead Symbol Killer" is the one directly opposite to the "Disease Symbol." If it appears in the month pillar, day pillar, or hour pillar without a noble deity to rescue, it indicates that the person has a fierce and cruel nature and a short lifespan.

取太歲後一辰是，犯者多疾病，行年遇之亦然。（亞宰公要訣）

The "Bingfu Kill" is derived by taking the next Earthly Branch after the current Heavenly Stem's corresponding Earthly Branch. People whose fate is affected by this are prone to illness and misfortune; when this branch appears in the current year's cycle, the situation remains the same. This concept is from the "Yazai Gong Yaojie."

橫關一殺少人知，月祿凶神又及時，縱有吉神重疊至，不遭刑戮也傾危。命前二辰，命俊二辰，月祿羊刃來佐，凶殺臨時是也。如丙午年，乙未月，戊申日，丙辰時，丙戍胎，土尅命而橫關殺全月上，羊刃在時，月劫殺在申日，又胎與時同類相沖，此一人命獲二攀，己卯年犯極法，因赦真訣配（鬼谷要訣）

The "Horizontal Gate Killer" is rarely known: it occurs when the Lu Spirit and aInauspicious Spirit (malevolent spirit) meet at the same hour, even if good spirits come to rescue layer by layer, the person will either be killed or face ruin and danger. To determine this, one looks at the two stems before and after the birth stem, along with the Lu Spirit and Yangren (sheep blade) assisting. If aInauspicious Sha (malevolent killer) appears at the hour, this killer is formed. A case is given in the book: born in the year of Bingwu, month of Yiwei, day of Wushen, and hour of Bingchen, with the胎元 (fetal stem) being Bingxu. The Nayin (sound element) earth is used to overcome the destiny, and the Horizontal Gate Killer is concentrated in the month pillar. The Yangren is in the hour pillar, the month's劫杀 (plundering killer) is in the day of Shen, and the胎元 conflicts with the hour pillar. This person's destiny involves two layers of connection. In the year of Jimao, he committed a serious crime and was later pardoned, but still received exile according to the true method. This example comes from the "Ghost Valley Essential Secrets."

以木生日上數甲至本日干柱，陽干順數，陰干逆數，若在命宮，主極刑，三合主徙配，對宮主外死。（廣信集）

The method of "徙配杀" involves starting from the day of the birth of the Wood element, and counting from the Jia (甲) day on the day pillar to the current day's heavenly stem. For yang stems, count forward; for yin stems, count backward. If the counted position falls exactly in the命宫 (life palace), it indicates severe punishment. If it falls in the triple harmony position, it suggests exile and military service. If it falls in the opposite palace, it indicates death away from home. This method is from the "Broad Trust Collection."

戊馬庚豬乙虎狼，甲人羊位切須防，壬鼠己龍辛到丑，癸兔丁雞事不祥，丙逢猴狗何悲歎，流竄他州道路長，更逢羊刃臨其位，面帶懸針背血光。（金書命訣）

This verse explains that those born on a Wu day should beware of the Wu horse, those born on a Geng day should beware of the Hai pig, those born on a Yi day should beware of the Yin tiger, and those born on a Jia day should beware of the Wei sheep; all these are matters to be cautious about. Those born on a Ren day should beware of the Zi rat, those born on a Ji day should beware of the Chen dragon, those born on an Xin day should beware of the Chou ox, and those born on a Gui day should beware of the Mao rabbit. Those born on a Ding day should beware of the You rooster. The cases of the Bing day encountering the Shen monkey and the Xu dog are even more regrettable, indicating possible exile to another region and long journeys. If the "Yangren" also appears in the same position, it may result in facial markings and blood-related misfortunes. This verse comes from the "Jin Shu Ming Jue."

戟鋒殺，正月起甲，二月乙，三月戊甲，四月丙，五月丁，六月己，七月庚，八月甲辛，九月戊甲，十月壬，十一月癸，十二月己，甲日時帶兩重者至凶，更與懸針相見，定主決配及傷殘之凶。（沉芝源髓）

The "Ji Feng Sha" (戟锋杀) is calculated by starting the heavenly stems according to the month: January starts with Jia, February with Yi, March with Wu and Jia, April with Bing, May with Ding, June with Ji, July with Geng, August with Jia and Xin, September with Wu and Jia, October with Ren, November with Gui, and December with Ji. If there are two Jia stems in the day pillar or the hour pillar, it is particularly dangerous. If this is further combined with "Xuan Zhen" (悬针), it is destined to result in exile or severe disability. This statement comes from "Chen Zhi Yuan Mei."

時前一辰為天刑，主克害宗族，時後二辰為天傷，主疾病折傷。

The earthly branch immediately before the time pillar is called "Star of Punishment," which indicates harm to relatives of the same clan. The two earthly branches following the time pillar are called "Star of Depletion and Injury," which indicate chronic illness or broken bones and fractures.

庚戌見甲戌，主不善終。（並廣錄）

"The 'Corpse Killer' refers to a person whose destiny includes both Gengxu and Jiaxu, indicating that this person will not die a peaceful death. This statement, along with the previous one, is taken from the 'Broad Record.'"

甲辰午時，甲午酉時，惟此二命有之。（理愚歌）

There is another saying called "Fushishi Sha" (Corpse Killing): those born on Jiachen day at the hour of Wu and those born on Jiawu day at the hour of You are the only ones who carry it. This statement comes from the "Li Yu Ge" (The Song of Reasoning the Foolish).

（惟在財帛官名穿錢殺，主富蓄）。從戌上起子，逆行至本生年住，卻從命宮數，看在何宮，只在財帛宮為吉，餘皆凶，甲乙己庚人，犯之稍輕，丙丁戊辛癸人犯之重，常發災。在寅午戌申未年中，此殺多主水厄，仍各隨宮分為災，如在甲宅宮，則主破祖，餘以類推。

The "Floating and Sinking Killer" is called "Money-Piercing Killer" if it falls only in the wealth and fortune palace, which instead indicates abundant wealth. The method of calculation starts from the戌 position and counts backward to the person's birth year. Then, starting from the命宫, determine which of the twelve palaces it falls into. Only when it falls in the wealth and fortune palace is it considered favorable; otherwise, it is unfavorable. Those born on甲,乙,己, or庚 days suffer slightly from this, while those born on丙,丁,戊,辛, or癸 days suffer more, often experiencing calamities. Those born in the years of寅,午,戌,申, or未 are more likely to face water-related disasters. The specific calamities depend on the palace it falls into. For example, if it falls in the field and home palace, it indicates the destruction of ancestral property; similar consequences apply to other palaces.

子日戌時，丑日卯時，辰日午時，未日酉時。以上是隔角殺，君子主癰疽致命，庶人血光致死，日時上主妻子損克，胎年克父母。（並廣信集）

The configuration for "Xueguang Sha" (Blood Light Kill) is: born at the You hour on a Zi day, at the Mao hour on a Chou day, at the Wu hour on a Chen day, and at the You hour on a Wei day. These combinations are also known as "Gejiao Sha" (Opposite Angle Kill). If someone of high status incurs this, they are likely to die from boils and sores; if a common person incurs it, they may die from blood-related accidents. If this appears in the day pillar or hour pillar, it indicates harm to wife and children; if it appears in the胎元 (fetus origin) or year pillar, it indicates harm to parents. All of this is from the "Guangxin Ji."

子人戌，戌人子，丑人卯，卯人丑，辰人午，午人辰，巳人未，未人巳，申人戌，戌人申，酉人亥，亥人酉，日時犯者平生多血災。

Another type of "blood light killer" is determined by the interaction between the birth year's Earthly Branch and another branch: those born in the Year of the Rat (Zi) see the Year of the Dog (Xu); those born in the Year of the Dog (Xu) see the Year of the Rat (Zi); those born in the Year of the Ox (Chou) see the Year of the Rabbit (Mao); those born in the Year of the Rabbit (Mao) see the Year of the Ox (Chou); those born in the Year of the Dragon (Chen) see the Year of the Horse (Wu); those born in the Year of the Horse (Wu) see the Year of the Dragon (Chen); those born in the Year of the Snake (Si) see the Year of the Goat (Wei); those born in the Year of the Goat (Wei) see the Year of the Snake (Si); those born in the Year of the Monkey (Shen) see the Year of the Dog (Xu); those born in the Year of the Dog (Xu) see the Year of the Monkey (Shen); those born in the Year of the Rooster (You) see the Year of the Pig (Hai); those born in the Year of the Pig (Hai) see the Year of the Rooster (You). Those who have this in their day pillar or hour pillar are likely to experience disasters involving bloodshed throughout their lives.

以本生月起子，順數至本年住，若在命宮三合對宮，主癰疽，庶人刑，婦人發。

The method for calculating "Flowing Blood God" starts from the Zi position of the month of birth and counts sequentially until reaching the year of the person's destiny. If the position falls on the命宫, the Triple Harmony position, or the opposing palace, it indicates the occurrence of boils and sores. Common people may suffer legal punishment, while women are prone to illness.

戊寅、戊申、庚寅、庚申、辛巳、辛亥。以上日時犯更帶元辰者，君子主血疾，小人徒配，婦人主血危，日上損妻，時上損子。

The "Nodding Death" consists of six heavenly stems and earthly branches: Wuyin, Wushen, Gengyin, Gengshen, Xinsi, and Xinhai. If these appear in the day pillar or hour pillar and are accompanied by "Yuanchen," those of high status will suffer from bleeding disorders, commoners will be sentenced to imprisonment or exile, and women will face risks of blood disorders or difficult childbirth. If it appears in the day pillar, it harms the wife; if it appears in the hour pillar, it harms the children.

子巳丑寅酉，寅人巳子游，卯酉子未戌，戌龍不自由，亥卯申共丑，金殺主徙流，亡神若共見，應不免愆尤。以上，君子主癰疽，公人百姓主有官災，與飛廉亡神併，大凶。

The rhyme of "Dark Metal Killer" combines the birth year with the branches to be avoided: those born in the Year of Rat, Snake, or Ox should avoid the Year of Tiger and Rooster; those born in the Year of Tiger should avoid the Year of Snake and Rat; those born in the Year of Rabbit or Rooster should avoid the Year of Rat, Goat, and Dog; those born in the Year of Dog and Dragon are also restricted; those born in the Year of Pig or Rabbit should avoid the Year of Monkey and Ox. If this Metal Killer is involved, it indicates exile or migration; if it appears together with "Wangshen," misfortune and calamity are inevitable. In general, if someone of high status incurs this, it leads to boils and sores; if a government official or commoner incurs it, they will face legal troubles; when it appears together with "Fei Lian" and "Wangshen," it is especially dangerous.

甲午丁酉己巳庚子辛亥壬申壬寅癸卯。以上重迭犯者，如甲午見甲午，是也。主橫發橫死，以月日時分之，日時主妻子。

The "Invisible Ghost" consists of eight combinations of heavenly stems and earthly branches: Jiawu, Dingyou, Jisi, Gengzi, Xinhai, Renshen, RENYIN, and Guimao.the so-called "repeated offense" refers to the situation where a person's fate includes the same combination appearing more than once, such as Jiawu appearing twice. Those who carry this combination are prone to sudden wealth and sudden death; even if they achieve great wealth overnight, they may die unexpectedly. The specific effects depend on which pillar the combination falls on—day pillar or hour pillar. If it falls on the day pillar or hour pillar, the consequences are reflected in the person's wife and children.

（三合中見類也）寅午戌人午，巳酉丑人酉，申子辰人子，亥卯未人卯。以上日時犯者，主離鄕並祖業，子午卯酉上安命者同。

The "Lixiang Sha" (Departure from Hometown Kill) takes the same element from the Triple Harmony Formation: those born in the years of Yin-Wu-Xu see Wu, those born in the years of Si-You-Chou see You, those born in the years of Shen-Zi-Chen see Zi, and those born in the years of Hai-Mao-Wei see Mao. If this appears in the day pillar or the hour pillar, it indicates leaving the hometown and abandoning ancestral property. Those with the命宫 (destiny palace) located in the branches Zi, Wu, Mao, or You will experience the same outcome.

The "breaking external killer" is determined by taking the second branch in each direction and finding the one that opposes it: those born in the years of寅, 卯, or 辰 see 酉; those born in the years of巳, 午, or 未 see 子; those born in the years of申, 酉, or 戌 see 卯; and those born in the years of亥, 子, or 丑 see 午. If this appears in the day pillar, hour pillar, or fetal origin, it indicates the dispersion of the external family, particularly the maternal relatives, and the complete loss of wealth.

除子日午時，午日子時外，其餘丑日亥時，亥日丑時，寅時戌時，戌日寅時，依此逐兩位數之，君子犯者主異疾腸風腳氣，小人損肢折體，重犯者主徙配。

The pairing for "Heavenly Slaughter" includes not only the combination of the day of Zi and the hour of Wu, and the day of Wu and the hour of Zi, but also the day of Chou and the hour of Hai, and the day of Hai and the hour of Chou, as well as the day of Yin and the hour of Xu, and the day of Xu and the hour of Yin. This pairing continues in this manner, alternating in pairs. If someone of high status commits this, they will suffer from strange illnesses such as bloody discharge from the intestines or foot disease. Commoners will suffer broken limbs and bones. Those who commit this offense severely may be sentenced to exile.

壬辰日時或大運，名玄武受戮，主官員被讒有失，小人是非不寜。癸巳日時或大運，名青龍伏藏，主因酒有失，暗損福壽，不飲則可。丁未日時玄武折足，大不利六畜，亡散死傷，或患瘡疾，有甲乙則有子孫。辛卯時犯白虎喪目，不利勇勐戰鬥，令人多有眼目之疾，重犯尤忌之。（並神白經）

When Renchen appears in the day pillar, hour pillar, or in the big destiny period, it is called "Xuanwu Shoulü," indicating that officials may lose their positions due to slander, while ordinary people face constant disputes and lack peace. When Renchen appears in the day pillar, hour pillar, or in the big destiny period, it is called "Xuanwu Zhuzu," which signifies that one may cause misfortune through drinking, leading to hidden loss of fortune and lifespan; avoiding alcohol can prevent this. When Dingwei appears in the day pillar or hour pillar, it is called "Xuanwu Zhuzu," which is detrimental to livestock, causing them to scatter and suffer casualties, and people may also suffer from sores and diseases; if the heavenly stem has Jia or Yi, there may still be descendants. When Xinmao appears in the hour pillar, it is called "Baihu Sangmu," which is unfavorable for brave military campaigns, causing people to suffer from eye diseases, and those who commit this more severely should be particularly cautious. All of the above are from the "Shenbai Jing."

Lin Kai said in "Lin Kai Wu Ming" that the malevolent spirit "Jie Sha" belongs to the "You Bi Star" in the system of star mansions.

寅午戌在亥，巳酉丑在寅，申子辰在巳，亥卯未在申。凡值一位，為人毒害，其性難犯，二位逢克，主有宿疾，刑徒手足不完，運若逢此，乃有刀兵折傷之難，如祿馬相順，五行不相刑，又為好命，主有權柄握兵，文武官皆然。（林開五命）

The method of calculating "Jie Sha" is as follows: those born in the years of Yin, Wu, and Xu fall under Hai; those born in the years of Si, You, and Chou fall under Yin; those born in the years of Shen, Zi, and Chen fall under Si; and those born in the years of Hai, Mao, and Wei fall under Shen. If only one of these is present in a person's chart, they are cruel and fierce, with a bad temper and are not easily approached. If two of these are present and they are in a state of mutual restriction, it indicates the person has an old illness, may even be imprisoned or suffer physical disabilities. When this aspect appears in the big destiny period, there is a risk of injury or accident involving weapons. However, if "Lu Ma" (which refers to the beneficial elements) harmonizes well with it and there is no mutual conflict among the Five Phases, it becomes a favorable destiny. Such a person is likely to hold military power, and both civil and military officials possess such qualities. This statement is from "Lin Kai Wu Ming."

劫殺者，五行昏濁之神也，常在五行之氣絕處，寅午戌火絕在亥是也，君子得之，則氣剛志勇，宜為右職，小人得之，則放僻邪侈，無所不至，生旺則多謀略，遇事敢為，死絕則執拗內狠，陰中於人，與貴人併，則高明遠慮，有武德，與建祿併，能權大任，多得橫財。與空亡元辰併，為樑上君子，生時得之，子孫愚薄，下乘金火多在死絕，患頭瘡闇昧疾，干帶庚辛，多好刑刻凋鏃伎巧事，或空亡金火併，多打鐵屠膾捕獵籠養之人。（燭神經）

Jie Sha is a divine evil force among the Five Phases, representing darkness and turbidity. It always falls in the place where the energy of the Five Phases is cut off. For example, Yin-Wu-Xu belong to the Fire triad, and Fire is extinguished at Hai, so Jie Sha is located at Hai. A virtuous gentleman who possesses Jie Sha will have a strong character and resolute aspirations, making him suitable for a military position. However, an ordinary person who possesses it tends to be reckless, extravagant, and capable of doing anything. When Jie Sha is in a place of birth and prosperity, a person is often strategic and bold in action. When it is in a place of death and decline, the person becomes stubborn, malicious inside, and secretly plots against others. If Jie Sha appears together with the Nobleman, the person becomes wise and far-sighted, possessing martial virtue. If it appears together with Jian Lu, the person can shoulder great responsibilities and often gains unexpected wealth. If it appears together with Kongwang and Yuanchen, the person tends to become a thief like a thief on the eaves. If a person is born with Jie Sha in their hour, their descendants will be dull and shallow. Those with a low destiny and many instances of dead ends in their Nayin metal and fire elements are prone to head sores and some obscure illnesses. Those with heavenly stems of Geng and Xin tend to prefer intricate crafts involving knives and tools. If Kongwang and metal-fire appear together, the person is likely to be involved in ironworking, butchering, hunting, or keeping animals. This statement comes from the Zhujing Jing.

寅午戍人，甲干己亥，丙干辛亥，戊干癸亥，庚干乙亥，壬干丁亥。巳酉丑人，乙干戊寅，丁干庚寅，己干壬寅，辛干甲寅，癸干丙寅。申子辰人，甲干己巳，丙干辛巳，戊干癸巳，庚干乙巳，壬千丁巳。亥卯未人，乙干戊申，丁干庚申，己干壬申，辛干甲申，癸干丙申。以上劫殺上有干財，主蓄積大富，吞併不僱藉，滲毒害物，遇再重者反有害。

"Jie Tou Sha" refers to a combination where the heavenly stem of wealth is paired with the earthly branch of the "Jie Sha" position. For those born in the years of Yin-Wu-Xu (Fire triad): Jia day master pairs with Ji Hai, Bing day master pairs with Xin Hai, Wu day master pairs with Gui Hai, Geng day master pairs with Yi Hai, and Ren day master pairs with Ding Hai. For those born in the years of Si-You-Chou (Metal triad): Yi day master pairs with Wu Yin, Ding day master pairs with Geng Yin, Ji day master pairs with Ren Yin, Xin day master pairs with Jia Yin, and Gui day master pairs with Bing Yin. For those born in the years of Shen-Zi-Chen (Water triad): Jia day master pairs with Ji Si, Bing day master pairs with Xin Si, Wu day master pairs with Gui Si, Geng day master pairs with Yi Si, and Ren day master pairs with Ding Si. However, if this combination appears repeatedly, it can instead become a source of misfortune.

寅午戍人，甲干辛亥，丙干癸亥，戊干乙亥，庚干丁亥，壬干己亥。己酉丑人，乙干庚寅，丁干壬寅，己干甲寅，辛千丙寅，癸干戊寅。申子辰人，甲干辛巳，丙干癸巳，戊干乙巳，庚干丁巳，壬千己巳。亥卯未人，乙干庚申，丁干壬申，己千甲申，辛千丙申，癸干戊申。以上劫殺上見官鬼，主無官，縱有須因事罷，入侍從，大罕得也，庶人多被劫，平生聚散，公人主估家計，兩重須被盜，日劫妻，時劫子，婦人劫夫。（並廣信）

Commoners often suffer from robbery, with their wealth accumulating and then dispersing. Officials may have their property appraised and sold to settle debts, and those who commit two offenses will certainly be robbed. If this appears in the day pillar, it will cause the loss of a spouse; if it appears in the hour pillar, it will cause the loss of a child. For women, it will cause the loss of their husband. This statement is from the "Guang Xin Ji" (广信集).

殺為首，故謂之一殺，甲寅值己亥，丙寅值辛亥，戊寅值癸亥，庚寅值乙亥，壬寅值丁亥，甲申值已巳，丙申值辛巳，戊申值癸巳，庚申值乙巳，壬申值丁巳，十位在日上，謂之旌旗殺，在時上謂之英雄殺，全要以身剋殺，不宜以殺剋身。四位逢生劫又來，當朝霸業振雄材，更無印墓臨時上，梗直名光御史臺。四位逢生交互見之。（鬼谷要訣）

The "Jie Sha" is the leader among all killing stars, hence it is called "the first killer." There are ten combinations for this: Jia Yin meets Ji Hai, Bing Yin meets Xin Hai, Wu Yin meets Gui Hai, Geng Yin meets Yi Hai, Ren Yin meets Ding Hai, Jia Shen meets Ji Si, Bing Shen meets Xin Si, Wu Shen meets Gui Si, Geng Shen meets Yi Si, and Ren Shen meets Ding Si. When these ten combinations appear in the day pillar, they are called "Jing Qi Sha," and when they appear in the hour pillar, they are called "Xiong Ying Sha." The key is to use the person's own strength to control this killer star, and not let the killer star attack the person. The rhyme says: if all four pillars meet the life qi and the Jie Sha also appears, one can achieve dominance in the current era and display great talent; as long as the hour pillar does not have the seal star falling into the grave, and the person is upright and straightforward, they can gain fame in the Imperial Inspection Office. The term "four pillars meeting life qi" refers to all four pillars mutually containing the life qi. This saying comes from "Gui Gu Yao Jue."

劫殺主殺，生氣主生，若同於本位之上，其人必作將帥，若有生氣兩重，而劫殺一重者，則是生氣強於劫，劫殺兩重而生氣一重者，則是劫強於生氣，生氣多者從生氣言，劫殺多者從劫殺言，不可一概論也。

Jiesha represents the qi of severity and decline, while "shengqi" represents the qi of growth and development. If these two are present in the same position, the person is destined to become a general or commander. If there are two layers of shengqi and only one layer of jiesha, then shengqi overpowers jiesha. If there are two layers of jiesha and only one layer of shengqi, then jiesha overpowers shengqi. When there are more layers of shengqi, it should be interpreted according to shengqi, and when there are more layers of jiesha, it should be interpreted according to jiesha. It cannot be treated in a general way.

諸書皆曰劫坐兩頭夭壽，其有分劫，聚劫，身剋劫，或劫剋身，皆不同，如分劫者，如甲子生人，得己巳月，己巳日時，是也，蓋只有一劫寄於兩巳，兩巳分劫而受之，反不為重災也。聚劫者，譬如甲子生人，丙子月，己巳日時，是也。蓋子有兩重劫，會於巳，一巳受兩重劫，致害重也。身剋劫，與劫剋身者，常以太歲所屬之五行為身劫，殺所屬之五行為劫，劫剋身者重，身剋劫者輕，若見生得帶而不剋，流年遇之，而剋運必見傷，而夭矣。（並壺中子）

Different texts all say that if the killer star is located at both ends of the destiny chart, it can shorten one's lifespan. However, it is also necessary to distinguish between "separated killer," "gathered killer," "body killing the killer," and "killer killing the body," each of which has different effects.所谓 separated killer refers to someone born in the year of Jiazi who has the month and day or hour of Jisi. In this case, there is only one killer star, which is shared by the two Sis, and since the two Sis share the burden, it does not cause major disasters.所谓 gathered killer refers to someone born in the year of Jiazi who has the month of Bingzi and the day or hour of Jisi. In this case, the two Zis each carry one killer star, and both converge on the same Si, so one Si has to bear two killer stars, which causes greater harm. As for body killing the killer and killer killing the body, usually the five elements of the heavenly stem of the year represent the person's own body, and the five elements of the killer represent the killer. When the killer star kills the body, it is more severe, while when the body kills the killer, it is less severe. If the killer star merely appears without actually attacking, then when the flow year meets it, it will definitely cause injury, or even result in early death. The above is from "Hu Zhongzi."

日中劫殺災非少，財遇大虧並引盜，陽人妻是產中亡，陰命夫終多惡暴。

The rhyme says: If the day pillar is accompanied by劫 and杀, there will be many calamities; encountering the wealth star leads to great loss of wealth and attracts thieves; for a man's fate, his wife often dies from difficult childbirth, while for a woman's fate, her husband is mostly violent and meets a bad end.

劫殺怕生日犯之，更加可剋害，或財遇，則招賊劫盜傷財產，小事則成，大事則虧，且如申子辰人，劫殺在巳，丙子水人，以乙巳火為財，亥卯未人劫殺在申，而生日是申，亦然。蓋亥卯未本木體，用土為財，主於申號曰財遭劫殺，主盜劫。又主求財，大商則失，小則遂，生日管妻位，更逢劫殺，更加刑害，主妻多因產死，或膿血疾，或自殘害，惡疾致死，或主自凶刑及惡殺加之，主打殺人之類，若陰命日犯，主夫多惡暴，死不得善終。（沉芝源髓）

The evil star of calamity is most dangerous when it appears in the birth year. If it is combined with a harmful influence, the result is even worse. Once this star meets the wealth star, it will bring about theft and robbery, loss of property, and even the destruction of family assets. Small matters may still be handled, but major affairs will certainly result in financial loss. For example, someone born in the years of Shen, Zi, and Chen has the evil star of calamity in the position of Si. For someone with the Nayin sound element of Bingzi, which belongs to water, the fire element of Yisi is considered the wealth star. Similarly, someone born in the years of Hai, Mao, and Wei has the evil star of calamity in the position of Shen, and if their birth year is also Shen, the situation is the same. The years of Hai, Mao, and Wei belong to the wood element, and the earth element is considered the wealth. When the wealth element falls in the position of Shen, it is called the wealth being attacked by the evil star of calamity, indicating the possibility of theft and robbery. Such people seeking wealth will certainly suffer losses in large business ventures, but small businesses will be more favorable. The birth pillar represents the position of the spouse. If the evil star of calamity appears again and is combined with punishment and harm, the wife may die from childbirth complications, suffer from blood disorders, or commit self-harm, leading to a fatal illness. There is also the possibility of the person themselves suffering from severe punishment or being involved in violent crimes. If a woman's birth year is affected by this, it indicates that her husband will have a violent and cruel nature and will not live a long life. This statement is from the book "Chen Zhi Yuan Mei."

劫殺主多仇怨，君子逢之，當為將帥，小人值者，則為盜賊，凡身能制殺，必能傷人，若剋身，則被人害，行年至此，亦主破財，逢賊盜及刀傷、馬墜之災。三命鈐右弼令人心不中，一生無氣謾愚蠢，三重主右全無祿，此命須當刃下終。（林開五命）

When the star of劫杀 appears, the person tends to accumulate many enmities. A gentleman encountering it may become a general, while a petty person encountering it may become a thief. If the person's own destiny can control this killing star, they will surely harm others; but if it is the star that harms them, they will be harmed by others. When the stream year reaches the area of劫杀, it indicates financial loss, and one may encounter thieves, knife wounds, or falling from a horse. The "San Ming Qian" says: the Right Assistant star makes people have improper intentions, live a life without vitality, be foolish and confused all their lives; if they are afflicted by it three times, they will have no salary at all, and such a destiny often ends with death by the blade. This statement comes from "Lin Kai Wu Ming."

林開云：屬破軍星。

Lin Kai said in "Lin Kai Wu Ming" that the malevolent star "Wangshen" belongs to the "Pojun Star" in the system of star mansions.

寅午戌巳上弄紙筆，巳酉丑逢申莫動手，申子辰亥上不動塵。凡犯一位，主多口面，二位帶殺主刑徒，如祿馬同宮，卻有衣食，三位及五行刑剋者，刺配，四位並逢刑殺，乃絞斬之命。（林開五命）三命篡局云：一位破軍多口面，二重犯者主徒流，三重見此刑須絞，四位逢之定斬頭。

"The term 'Tian Guan Fu' refers to 'Wang Shen.' The method of pairing is as follows: those born in the years of Yin, Wu, and Xu should be placed in Si, and they are only suitable for writing and rhetoric; those born in the years of Si, You, and Chou should be placed in Shen, and they must not act rashly; those born in the years of Shen, Zi, and Chen should be placed in Hai, and they should be content with their own affairs and avoid causing trouble. If someone is afflicted by one of these positions, they will experience a lot of verbal disputes. If they are afflicted by two positions and also have凶杀 (malevolent killing stars), they will be sentenced to imprisonment. If they share the same palace with禄 (favorable fortune) and马 (horse, symbolizing mobility), they will not worry about food and clothing. If they are afflicted by three positions and their Five Phases mutually conflict, they will be branded and exiled. If all four positions are afflicted by刑杀 (punishment and killing stars), they are destined for hanging or beheading. This statement comes from the book 'Lin Kai Wu Ming.' The book 'San Ming Cuan Ju' also says: being afflicted by one position of破军 (Expenditure star) leads to many verbal disputes; being afflicted by two positions leads to imprisonment and exile; being afflicted by three positions leads to hanging; and being afflicted by all four positions means a sentence of beheading."

亡身殺者，自劫殺數至第七殺者，是也。亦名官殺符，蓋本金木水火各三會成一舉，盛極則亢，而其道窮則為災。故申子辰在亥，亥卯未在寅，寅午戍在巳，巳酉丑在申，皆亢地也。是以貴在上，日值之，多因言事爭辯生釁，氣不謙下，遂罹悔吝，運好逢之，跋前跌後，失位失名，賢而在下值之，則失勢失援，橫逆紛擾，感而為疾，則主血氣癕疽，或兵刑難。小人逢之，則乘戰爭而發越也。珞琭子謂河公懼其七殺，乃有道之士，知進退存亡也。（五行要論）

The term "Wangshen" is also called "Wangshen Sha" and is derived by counting seven positions from the "Jie Sha" (劫杀). It is also known as "Guan Sha Fu" (official killing symbol). Metal, wood, water, and fire each form a complete set through three branches, and when their strength reaches its peak, they become excessive, and when their path is exhausted, they turn into calamity. Therefore, the "Wangshen" of the water triad (Shen-Zi-Chen) is located at Hai, the "Wangshen" of the wood triad (Hai-Mao-Wei) is located at Yin, the "Wangshen" of the fire triad (Yin-Wu-Xu) is located at Si, and the "Wangshen" of the metal triad (Si-You-Chou) is located at Shen. These are all places of excess. If a person of high status is born with this, they are likely to develop disputes and grievances due to arguments, be unwilling to be humble, and thus invite regret and criticism. When this occurs during a favorable period, they may find themselves in a difficult position, losing their position and reputation. A person of virtue and ability in a low position encountering this will lose support and assistance, and face continuous troubles. This energy may lead to illness, resulting in blood stagnation and the formation of abscesses, or even military or legal troubles. However, a petty person encountering this may instead rise to prominence during times of chaos. The "Luolu Zi" says that He Shanggong feared the "Qi Sha" (七杀), which is precisely the understanding of a wise person regarding advancement, retreat, survival, and demise. This statement comes from the "Wuxing Yaolun" (五行要论).

亡神官符與劫殺對沖是也，在五行臨官位，故曰官符，其神主君子掌刑獄之權，小人則多官事，生旺則氣義理烈，好豐盛，形狽峻厲，有威，死絕則褊躁性窄，與貴人併，則事弄筆硯飾撰言語，與空亡併，則妄媚無實，強文假借，與建祿併，則因空起家，干涉官利，或為胥徒之職，並大剋身則語吃無氣，則多腰足疾也。（燭神經）

The star Wangshen and Guanfu are directly opposite to Jiesha. When it is positioned at the position of Lin Gan in the Five Phases, it is called Guanfu. This star signifies that a gentleman holds authority over legal affairs, while a petty person faces legal troubles. If it is in a position of strength and vitality, the person is characterized by a strong sense of principle, a love for extravagance, a severe and imposing appearance. If it is in a position of decline or end, the person tends to be impetuous and narrow-minded. When it appears together with the Nobleman, the person is likely to be involved in tasks related to legal documents and literary embellishment. When it appears together with Kongwang, the person becomes fickle and flattering, speaking without truth, and is forced to engage in writing under the guise of others' names. When it appears together with Jianlu, the person can start from nothing, get involved in official affairs, or serve as a minor official. If this star heavily harms the person's destiny, the person may speak with difficulty, lack vitality, and suffer from ailments in the waist and legs. This statement is from the Zhujing Jing.
