The commentary says: For a person born on an Yi day and at the Yiyou hour, it is "the body is in decline while the ghost is strong": Yi wood takes Xin metal as the "ghost" (seven煞). 六乙日生時丙戌，鬼敗臨身有損傷；若不氣通身旺月，孤貧勞碌苦難當。乙日丙戌時，鬼敗臨身，乙用庚為官，見丙背祿，戌中有辛餘氣、丙丁庫，食神制煞，若柱透庚，傷官見官，為禍百端；年月有寅午，丙火合局，即一木迭逢火位，主人傲物氣高，衣祿平常，殘疾，不然壽促。通身旺月氣者，吉。

The rhyme says: For a day ruler of Yi wood born at the Bingxu hour, the seven deadly evils and declining energy both afflict the person, leading to inevitable harm; if not born in a month that supports the day ruler's strength, then the person will suffer from loneliness, poverty, and hard work. The interpretation says: For Yi day and Bingxu hour, it is called "ghost and decline afflict the body." Yi wood takes Geng metal as its "official star." The presence of Bing fire at the hour weakens Geng metal, which is like turning away from the official position. The戌 contains the residual energy of Xin metal and is also the tomb of Bing and Ding fire, which is like the food star controlling the evil. If Geng metal appears in the heavenly stem, it becomes "harmful star meets official," leading to many troubles. The six relations, especially parents, are difficult to rely on; brothers scatter and are not harmonious; when dealing with people, the heart is sad and gradually distant. Know that this fate gains fortune through changing circumstances, it is a fate of hardship followed by prosperity.

六乙日生丁亥時，食神印綬亦奇哉；月氣水土無財貴，切忌傷妻與子災。乙日丁亥時，死處逢生，乙木死，亥卻氣壬水為生氣印綬，乙用丁為食，亥中丁坐無氣，喜甲木生，助丁食為福。如遇金局，行水運者，防目疾。四柱見財，或行財運、貪財壞印，主破財。戊為財為妻，庚為官為子，亥上庚絕土病，妻衰子少。

The rhyme says: For a day born with the heavenly stem Yi (乙) and a time of Dinghai (丁亥), the presence of both the food god and the official star is a rare and auspicious pattern. If the month's energy is of water or earth but there is no wealth star, it indicates high status, but one must avoid harming the wife and children, as this leads to misfortune. The interpretation says: Yi day with Dinghai time is called "death meets life." Yi wood is in the dead position at Hai, but the壬 water in Hai is the source of life qi, which is the official star for Yi wood. Yi wood takes Ding fire as its food god, but the Ding fire in Hai is in a place of no strength, so it is good that there is Jia wood to nourish it, helping the food god to bring good fortune. However, Geng metal reaches Hai in its dead position, and Wu earth reaches Hai in its sick position, so the wife is weak and the children are few.

乙丑日丁亥時秀，生壬子申未卯月，干透財印者，才德兼全，職在風憲。年月干支純金，身衰煞旺，主凶死。乙卯日丁亥時，巳酉丑月偏官，申月正官，俱貴。亥月，東南運，風憲。未月，三合木局，大貴。乙未日丁亥時貴，子亥年月，公侯。春生，行西運，郎官。酉孤，貴。年月木火，主發高科。水土金與日干合化有用者，俱吉。

Parents and wife will be happy and harmonious, with hidden literary talent in their hearts; if good fortune comes suddenly, they will become wealthy and live a peaceful and comfortable life.

六丙日生時己丑，官鬼相生祿不成；若見申庚並乙旺，不求財祿過平生。丙日己丑時，傷官背祿，傲物志高。丙用癸為官，丑中有癸餘氣，被明暗土傷，柱透癸為禍。若見庚辛，傷官生財，卻為福慶。丙子日己丑時，寅亥申辰年月，天干透財印食者貴。丙寅日己丑時，平常，生乙酉月，正財格，有乙庚健旺者貴。巳丑年月，干透官印者貴。

On a day of Bing Shen with a time of Jia Wu, if there is no fire or earth in the pillar, the fortune is thin; if the great destiny moves towards metal and water, the person will be prosperous. On a day of Bing Xu with a time of Jia Wu: those born in spring are auspicious, those born in summer are lonely and subject to punishment, those born in autumn are auspicious but have few descendants; those born in the months of寅, 午, or 戌 will be wealthy and noble, surpassing even gods and prime ministers. The concluding verse says: on a day of Bing with a time of Wu, lacking water is like adding more fuel to a fierce fire; if fire is seen in the pillar and harms, the glory in middle age is certain without doubt. The rhyme says: For a person born on a Bing fire day with Yiwei time, those born in a month of strong fire tend to be wealthy and noble; Yi wood is the true official of Bing fire, and when it appears in the chart, as long as there is no wealth star to destroy the official, it is safe. The interpretation says: Bing day with Yiwei time is "life qi official star," and Bing fire uses Wei as the repository of the official star; if the month has strong fire qi, then it is noble; if not, but there is no wealth star in the chart and the big years also do not go to wealth areas, it can still be considered a high destiny; once there is a wealth star, it is greedy for wealth and destroys the official, leading to an ordinary life. For those born in winter, the official star is strong and can support the official star, leading to nobility and prominence. For Bingzi day paired with Yiwei time: those born in spring have the official star in command, being steady and honest; those born in summer are stable, those born in autumn are changeable, and those born in winter are noble; the flow years and big years are also judged in the same way.

The concluding verse says: those born on the day of Bing with the hour of Wei do not need to doubt, brothers are like geese flying apart, each following their own path. If the big destiny moves east or north, daily food and clothing will naturally be sufficient. The interpretation says: those born on the day of Bing with the hour of Wei, if their big destiny moves northeast, they will achieve honor and prosperity. If the day ruler is strong and the wealth star is abundant, there is no need to sigh, for the wealthy family has grand mansions. Scholars can have their wives receive official titles and their sons receive benefits, while common people will certainly have a good livelihood. Wealthy people will have so much gold and jade that they can hardly contain it, and the wealthy will ride horses with saddles.
