Sixth Jia Day, Bingshen Hour Interpretation

六丙日生時丙申，身衰財破比肩分；暗中鬼旺七煞地，無救何能家道殷。丙日丙申時，財旺身衰，丙逢庚為財，壬為鬼，申庚旺壬生，丙火無氣，財須比肩分奪。若不通身旺月者貧下；有倚托救助，又通身旺月，運再同，貴。丙子日丙申時，若通火氣及寅卯月再行身旺運，吉。年月純金，棄命就財，亦以吉論。

The rhyme says: For a day ruler of Bing fire born at Bingshen hour, the day ruler is weak and the wealth star is divided by the same element. The hidden Ren water in Shen is strong and acts as a harmful influence. If there is no saving element, how can the family be prosperous? The interpretation says: Bing day and Bingshen hour is "wealth is strong but the self is weak." Bing fire takes Geng metal as wealth and Ren water as "ghost" (seven evils). In Shen, Geng metal is strong and generates Ren water, while Bing fire has no strength. The wealth star is further divided by the same element in the hour stem. If the month ruler does not support the day ruler's strength, then poverty and low status result. If the column has support and the month ruler supports the day ruler's strength, and the big year also aligns with the day ruler's strength, then wealth and honor are expected. For Bingzi day paired with Bingshen hour: if there is fire energy, or if born in寅 or卯 month and the big year goes to the day ruler's strong position, it is auspicious. If the year and month branches are all metal, forming "abandoning the self for wealth," it is also considered auspicious.

On a Bingyin day with a Bingshen hour, the day branch and hour branch are in direct opposition, indicating worries for the wife; if the month ruler supports fire and the big destiny moves to a strong position for the day stem, it is auspicious; those born in the亥 month rely on skills for a living. On a Bingchen day with a Bingshen hour, those born in the寅 month and moving to the southern destiny are prosperous; if the year and month contain Zi and form a triple harmony official structure, and the heavenly stem also reveals the official, it indicates great prosperity; those born in the亥 month and with the revelation of Ren water are likely to have a short life; if there are Xu or Wei, it is ordinary. On a Bingwu day with a Bingshen hour, there is danger of bloodshed and fire, but later there will be great fortune; if born in the巳 month and with Ji or Xin revealed in the heavenly stem, forming the "wealth star pattern," it indicates noble military status. On a Bingshen day with a Bingshen hour, the pattern is high, but the person is prone to lust; if the year and month contain Zi or Chen and move to the eastern destiny, it is prosperous, otherwise it indicates disability and short life; if there are Hai, Mao, or Wei, it is auspicious. On a Bingxu day with a Bingshen hour, if the column lacks Ren, Gui, Hai, Zi, or You, it is considered as the "supporting pattern," indicating prosperity; if there are Yin, Xu, Si, or Wu and the day stem is strong but has no support, it indicates a life as a monk or Taoist. The concluding verse says: when two Bing characters meet and meet the Shen hour, as long as there is no conflict or destruction, it can change the family's status; fire and metal mutually consume and produce many successes and failures, but with the presence of the official, one can escape the mundane. The interpretation says: on a Bing day with the Shen hour, the same fire is present but they hesitate; the place of the biased official is where success and failure lie, and the wife and wealth are just acceptable. The family's fortune has ups and downs, and parents and brothers are not reliable; when the right time comes, there will be ready horses and a well-ordered household, but wealth and reputation are thin.

六丙日生時丁酉，刃生身死為災咎；柱中無救定然凶，就財棄命難長壽。丙日丁酉時，刃生身死，丁為刃，辛為財，酉上辛旺丙死，丁火長生，就財棄命，若無救助，不通身旺月，刃神不見刑沖，為人兇狠，不明禮義，有始無終；通月氣，或有救助，為技藝便巧之流。癸卯月生者，癸能破丁刃為官，癸水卯上長生，卯中有旺乙為印，如用神有力，又行水木運，貴顯。

The rhyme says: For a day ruler of Bing fire born at Dingyou hour, the Yangren is born but the day ruler is in the dead place, indicating a sign of misfortune; if there is no saving element in the column, it is definitely bad, even if one sacrifices life to follow wealth, it is hard to live long. The interpretation says: For a Bing day ruler at Dingyou hour, it is called "Yangren born, body dead": Ding fire is the Yangren of Bing fire, and Xin metal is the wealth star of Bing fire. The Xin metal is strong in You metal, but Bing fire is in the dead place. Ding fire, however, is in the long life position in You metal, so one must give up the day ruler and follow the wealth. If there is no saving element, and the month ruler does not connect with the strong position of the day ruler, and the Yangren is not restrained by punishment or clash, this person will have a fierce nature, be ignorant of propriety and righteousness, and be unable to complete tasks. If the month ruler connects with the energy or there is another saving element, then this person will be a craftsman or rely on skill for a living. For those born in Guimao month, the Gui water can restrain the Ding fire Yangren, and Gui water itself is the official star. Gui water is in the long life position in Mao, and the strong Bing wood in Mao is the scholar star. If the useful god is strong, and one goes through a major water and wood fortune, then one will be prominent and successful.

On a Bingzi day with a Dingyou hour: those born in spring are stable, those born in summer are prosperous, those born in autumn are average, and those born in winter are auspicious; if the year or month contains Wei, Shen, You, or Hai, they are destined for great prosperity; if there is Chou to harmonize with Zi or Chen to harmonize with You, they are also considered prosperous. On a Bingyin day with a Dingyou hour: if the year or month contains Mao, Hai, or Wei and the heavenly stem reveals official stars or seven evils, they are prosperous; in other months, they may have some skill but their destiny is ordinary. On a Bingchen day with a Dingyou hour: if the year or month contains Yin, Wu, Xu, or Si and the heavenly stem reveals seven evils and official stars, they are prosperous; if Shen and Zi form an official structure and the heavenly stem reveals official stars or similar stars, they are also prosperous; if the year and month are originally of fire or earth, it is favorable to see wealth stars. On a Bingwu day with a Dingyou hour: those born in Si, Wu, Xu months are fortunate if they become monks or Taoists; those born in You month are prosperous; if the year and month contain Hai, Zi, Chou, Yin, Mao, or Chen and the official stars and official stars are complete, they are destined for great prosperity.

On a day of Bingxu paired with a time of Dingyou: if the month's stem and branch connect to the energies of water and wood, and the great destiny also moves towards water and wood, it indicates great wealth and status; if the year and month contain Si and Wu, the day's stem is strong, and if they contain Hai and Zi, the official star is strong; if both are present in the year and month, it indicates great wealth. On a day of Bingxu paired with a time of Dingyou: if the month's stem and branch connect to the energy of wood and the destiny moves towards water, it indicates wealth; if it connects to the energy of metal and the destiny moves towards fire, one can enter the Golden Horse Gate and be appointed to the Jade Hall (referring to the Hanlin Academy), with unparalleled talent and reputation in the world; if the heavenly stem reveals Geng and the earthly branch hides Wu, one will be poor and die young. The concluding verse says: when Bing fire meets You time, it is not suitable, like the sun setting westward, its brilliance diminishing; if the four pillars also have conflicts, clashes, and breaks, and the six relations suffer punishment and harm, one will be lost throughout life. The interpretation says: on a day of Bing with a time of Dingyou, the heavenly stem's blazing fire is melting the metal energy; the six relations are not in harmony, the future is blocked, and advancement is difficult; day and night one ponders, always feeling insufficient, even after holding office, one still worries about corruption and greed. If born in the month of Si, one can change one's status, but if born in the month of Zi or Wu, one will provoke the anger of others.

The rhyme says: For a day born on Bing fire with a time of Wu Xu, the fire is in the earthy branch and meets the food god; if the monthly stem is in harmony with fire, it indicates a long life and good fortune, but if it is not in harmony, even if it meets good fortune, it is only an ordinary person. The interpretation says: For a day born on Bing fire with a time of Wu Xu, it indicates a long life and not losing fame and wealth; if born in the earthy branches of Yin, Mao, Wei, or Si, or in the years and months of Shen, You, Xu, or Si, it indicates high status. Bing Yin day paired with Wu Xu time is called "Temple Hall Food God": Bing fire takes Wu earth as its food god, and the food god is the longevity star. The fire is stored in Xu, and Wu earth is in its original position in Xu. If the monthly stem is in harmony with fire and the big destiny moves towards the southeast, it indicates great fortune and long life; if not in harmony with fire, it is ordinary. On a Bingzi day with a Wu Xu hour: Those born in summer will have both good fortune and longevity; those born in spring will have wood overcoming earth, and the food god will be taken by the biased minister, which is unfavorable. Those born in the寅 month have both Bing fire and Wu earth growing strong in寅, which is most auspicious. If there are Shen and Geng in the column to control the甲 wood, they will achieve great wealth and status. Those born in autumn or winter will have weak fire, leading to poverty and low status. If the year or month contains Si, Shen, or Hai, they may become a censor and reach the highest rank. On a Bingchen day with a Wu Xu hour: Those born in the午 month have strong Bing fire. If the year or month contains寅 or午 to strengthen the day's main element and the heavenly stem reveals the wealth star, it is favorable. If there are Chou or Chen causing conflict with the Xu warehouse, success will come in old age.

丙戌日戊戌時貧，若通寅巳午戌火局，福壽雙全，大貴。見財亦吉。時上食神局，樓臺店舍中；茶房餅酒肆，幾度立家風。丙日戌時財庫開，少年未遇且沈埋；運通早晚通官爵，設若無官也發財。丙日時逢戊戌，就中倉庫兼全。重重福祿自天然，富貴妻賢子羨。君子文章早立，常人財物綿延。天孤父母早淹連，辰戌鑰匙開顯。

On a day of Bingxu with a time of Wuxu, the native is originally destined for poverty. However, if there is a fire trinity involving寅,巳,午, and戌, then both fortune and longevity will be complete, leading to great wealth and status. If the fortune column contains wealth stars, it is also auspicious. This refers to the situation where the hour forms a food god pattern, and the person's livelihood is mainly in places like towers, shops, tea houses, pastry shops, and wine shops. Through several ventures, they can establish a family business. The concluding verse says: On a Wuxu hour of a Bing day, it signifies the opening of the treasure warehouse. In youth, the person does not encounter opportunities and is temporarily hidden away. Once the great destiny cycle is activated, they will eventually reach official rank. Even without official position, they will become wealthy. The interpretation says: On a Bing day with a Wuxu hour, both granary and warehouse are fully present. All the repeated blessings come naturally. Wealth and honor are accompanied by a virtuous wife and good children, which is enviable. Scholars will achieve literary success early, while ordinary people will have continuous wealth. However, the person is born with a lonely fate, and their parents suffer from illness and burdens in early years. They must wait until the key of Chen and Xu opens the warehouse to achieve success.

六丙日生時己亥，亥中壬旺被已傷；若通月氣方為貴，寅卯不逢主泛常。丙日己亥時，鬼旺身絕，丙見己為傷官，壬為正鬼，甲為倒食，亥上有明己，旺壬生甲，丙火絕氣，若通身旺月有倚托者，化鬼為官，主貴，終亦兇狠。通身旺運亦貴；身弱無倚托，不通月氣，柱中透出壬字，為禍百端，傲物氣高，主平常。

The rhyme says: For a day born with Bing fire, if born at Jihai time, the strong壬water in Hai is injured by the Ji earth; only if the month stem can connect with the day stem's strength will it be considered noble, but if there is no寅or卯to support it, it will be an ordinary fate. The interpretation says: Bing day with Ji Hai time is "ghost strong and body dead": Bing fire meets Ji earth as "hurt official", meets壬water as the true "ghost" (seven evils), meets Jia wood as "reverse food" (biased scholar); in the open part of Hai there is Ji earth, but in the hidden part the strong壬water can generate Jia wood, while Bing fire has already died in Hai. If the month stem can connect with the day stem's strength and the column has support, it can transform the ghost into official star, indicating nobility, but such people's nature is ultimately fierce. If the big year connects with the day stem's strength, it will be noble; if the day stem is weak and has no support, and the month stem does not connect, and the column reveals壬water, then there will be many troubles, arrogance, high temper, but in reality it is just ordinary.

On a Bingzi day with a Jihai hour: those born in autumn or winter are ordinary; those born in the month of Wei and moving into water and wood destinies, or those with wood and fire appearing in the heavenly stem, will be prosperous. Those born in the month of Zi and moving into the eastern destiny will be very prosperous. Those with the year and month containing Shen, Hai, Chou, or Xu will also be prosperous. On a Bingyin day with a Jihai hour: those born in summer can transform ghosts into official stars, with a virtuous wife and filial children, and even if not prosperous, they will be wealthy. Those with the year and month containing Yin, Mao, Chen, Si, Shen, or Chou, or Wu and Xu forming a fire destiny, and with the heavenly stem revealing Bing or Xu, will achieve great power and wealth. On a Bingchen day with a Jihai hour, it is considered the "Ritual Virtue Destiny": those born in the month of Yin will be auspicious; those born in the month of Chen, if becoming a monk or a Taoist, will be wealthy, but if ordinary, will be lonely and suffer from misfortunes. Those born in the month of Xu will have the Chen warehouse opened, and those born in the month of Si will have the Hai palace opened, allowing the Bing fire to become strong, both being auspicious. Those with Mao and Wei forming a wood destiny and moving into metal and water destinies, or Shen and Zi forming a water destiny and moving into wood and fire destinies, will also achieve prosperity.

丙午日己亥時，武貴。寅巳午月生，妻重子晚，不貴即富。秋冬，名利進退，酉午戌，大貴。丙申日己亥時，春夏生，移根換葉，就妻改福。秋冬平常。酉月，行東南運，風憲。丙戌日己亥時，寅卯巳午，木生火炎，妻傷子少，聰明富貴；酉亥子丑，平常，東運亦貴。丙日亥時命最高，猶如蘭蕙出蓬蒿；四柱若兼沖剋破，求名求利卻虛勞。丙日時臨己亥，若無壬字希奇。命中子少兩三妻，就裡喜逢天乙。父母雁侶行遠，刑空文福難齊。皆因八字有高低，切忌貪財罷職。

On a Bingwu day with a Jihai hour, one is destined for high military rank: those born in the months of Yin, Si, or Wu may marry twice and have children later, yet they will be neither prominent nor wealthy; those born in autumn or winter may experience fluctuating fame and fortune. If the year or month contains You, Wu, or Xu, they will achieve great prestige. On a Bingshen day with a Jihai hour: those born in spring or summer may change their fortune through their wife, while those born in autumn or winter will be ordinary. Those born in the month of You and moving to the southeast will be eligible for the position of Imperial Censor. On a Bingxu day with a Jihai hour: if the year or month contains Yin, Mao, Si, or Wu, wood nourishes fire and the fire is intense, leading to wife's injury and few children, but the person will be intelligent and wealthy. If the year or month contains You, Hai, Zi, or Chou, the person will be ordinary, but if they move to the east, they will achieve prestige. The concluding verse says: the highest destiny for a Bing day with a Hai hour is like orchids and fragrant grass growing above weeds; if the four pillars also have clashes, conflicts, or damage, seeking fame and fortune will be in vain. The interpretation says: for a Bing day with a Hai hour, it is rare if there is no Ren. A person with few children and two or three wives will find fortune if they meet Tianyi Nobleman. Parents and siblings are distant, and if there is a clash, conflict, or Kongwang, literary fame and fortune will be incomplete. This is due to the inherent high and low of the birth chart; one must avoid losing position for greed.

六丁日生時庚子，身衰鬼旺暗中藏；月無救助多貧夭，得坐身強又吉昌。丁日庚子時，身絕鬼旺，丁以庚為財，癸為鬼，子中有癸，丁火無氣，不能助扶。若通身旺月，有倚托者貴，更行身旺運，大貴；反是，貧夭下賤。丁丑日庚子時平，通木火氣，或行身旺運，貴。亦有亥子年月貴者，以丁火陰柔，不怕水鄉故也。

The rhyme says: When a person born on a Ding day is born at Gengzi hour, the day ruler is weak and the seven calamities are hidden in Zi and are strong. If the month branch does not support the day ruler, it often indicates poverty and a short life. However, if the day ruler is strong, it brings good fortune. The interpretation says: A Ding day with Gengzi hour is "the body is in decline while the ghost is strong." Ding fire takes Geng metal as wealth and癸 water as "ghost" (seven calamities). The Zi branch contains exactly癸 water, so Ding fire has no strength and cannot support itself. If the month branch connects with the strength of the day ruler and there is support in the chart, then the person will be wealthy. If not, then poverty and early death are likely. A person born on Dingchou day with Gengzi hour has an ordinary fate. If there is a flow of wood and fire, or if the big destiny moves to the strong position of the day ruler, then wealth is likely. Some people with亥 or Zi in the year or month are also wealthy, because Ding fire is gentle and does not fear water.

On Dingmao day with Gengzi hour, the person is prone to poverty. However, if the year or month contains Chen, Xu, Chou, or Wei, the biased official (偏官) is restrained, which is favorable. If born in the month of Wu with strong heavenly stem, or born in spring with strong day stem, it is auspicious. Those born in autumn or winter are ordinary. Avoid being born in Guisi month, which leads to destruction of ancestral property and misfortune. Avoid being born in Jiwei month, which causes injury. Avoid being born in Jiashen month, which leads to corporal punishment, bloodshed, and death. On Dingsi day with Gengzi hour, those born in spring have a strong day stem and are prosperous; those born in summer have a strong day stem and are also prosperous. Those born in autumn or winter are ordinary. If born in the months of Chen, Xu, Chou, or Wei with proper restraint, it is favorable. If the year or month contains Zi or Chen and the person moves westward, they may attain a rank of fourth or fifth grade. On Dingwei day with Gengzi hour, if born in the months of Chen, Xu, Chou, or Wei, the biased official is restrained. If born in the month of Wu with strong heavenly stem, it is prosperous. In other months, as long as the biased official is restrained, it is favorable. If the day and hour contain Wuzi, the person will have clear and elegant writings and achieve success. Avoid being born in Wushen month, which leads to early death. Avoid being born in Bingxu month, which causes injury. Avoid being born in Xinchou month, which causes injury and misfortune.

丁酉日庚子時，辰戌丑未月，剛明特達，貴。辰巳年月，貴尊相府。忌甲寅月，破敗惡死；癸巳月，離鄉惡死；乙酉月刑死。丁亥日庚子時，五十後大旺。辰戌丑未月，吉。寅午年月，貴。忌庚寅月，惡死；庚申月，身不全死；辛酉月，破敗。庚子時逢日是丁，火落江湖暗復明；四柱若兼沖剋破，讀書到老只虛名。丁日時逢庚子，日干丁火光輝。火胎金絕有盈虧，妻妾不能全美。有克有刑沖破，就中文福難齊。相生相救貴人提，此命先難後易。

The interpretation says: on a day with the stem Ding and time with the stem Gengzi, the day stem Ding fire originally has brightness. However, fire is in the position of the womb in the hour of Zi, and metal is in the position of extinction in the hour of Zi, so their strength fluctuates. If the year and month contain Si, Wu, Wei, or Xu and the day's main element is controlled and transformed, with exclusive use of wealth stars, it is considered auspicious. If the year and month contain Shen or You, and the wealth is generated by the food god and official star, and the heavenly stem reveals Jia or Yi, then both wealth and honor are achieved. Avoid the month of Jisi, which indicates punishment and harm; the month of Renwu leads to early death; the month of Guihai leads to being orphaned and poor.

戊戌日壬子時，寅巳午年月，去財留印，三四品貴。經云：能見義忘利，取印舍財是也。子酉，五品翰林。純酉，水木運，玉堂極貴。忌戊午月，刺面短夭；辛卯月，破敗凶刑；癸丑月，受刑；庚午月，貧瞽。戊日喜逢壬子時，身強官旺正相宜；運背卻休囚地，榮祿奔波任作為。戊日時逢壬子，此為財旺生官。化為丁丁是漫漫，任子東西走竄。木旺運中顯達，文章秀麗多端。為人博覽任追歡，富貴資財萬貫。

On a Wuxu day with a Renzi hour: those whose year and month contain寅,巳, or午 should remove the wealth star and retain the official seal, thus attaining a rank of third or fourth grade; the classic text says "seeing righteousness and forgetting profit," which is exactly the principle of giving up wealth for the official seal. Those who see 子 or 酉 can become fifth-grade Hanlin scholars; if the earth branch is entirely 酉 and they go through a water and wood destiny, they will reach the Jade Hall and attain great prestige. Avoid Wuwu month, which leads to punishment of tattooing and short life; avoid Xinmao month, which brings ruin and凶刑; avoid Guichou month, which leads to punishment; avoid Gengwu month, which results in poverty and blindness. The concluding verse says: On a Wu day, the best is to meet Renzi hour, the day master is strong and the official star is vigorous and properly matched; once the great destiny turns against it and falls into a weak and confined state, although honor and rank are present, it is only a life of toil and wandering. The commentary says: On a Wu day with Renzi hour, this is the image of wealth generating officialdom; if it combines and transforms into Ding fire, the future becomes uncertain, and one can only let the water flow wherever it may. When the great destiny reaches a place of strong wood, one will achieve success, with clear and varied writings; the person is knowledgeable, enjoys freedom, and is from a wealthy family with vast wealth.
