六庚日生時丁亥，官星失地自身衰；不通月氣難成福，若見魁罡卻妙哉。庚日丁亥時，庚以甲為財，壬為食，丁為官。亥上丁火無氣，壬旺甲生，庚金失地，難任財食。若不通身旺月，不能成福；通月氣、有陰土扶身者，發財。官星有助，稍貴。庚戌，庚辰此二日魁罡，不宜財官生旺；時逢丁亥，反貴。庚子日丁亥時，貴。申子辰月，傷官、勞碌。卯月、金火運、五六品貴。

The rhyme says: For a day born on Geng (庚) with the hour of Dinghai (丁亥), the official star loses its strength and the day ruler itself is weak; if the month does not connect with the energy, it is difficult to achieve fortune, but if it meets the Qiu Gāng (魁罡) day, it becomes favorable. The interpretation says: On a day of Geng with the hour of Dinghai, Geng metal takes甲 wood as wealth, 壬 water as food god, and 丁 fire as the official star; the fire in the hour of Hai is weak, while 壬 water is strong and nourishes 甲 wood, causing Geng metal to lose its strength and be unable to bear wealth and food. If the month does not connect with the day ruler's strength, it cannot achieve fortune; if the month connects with the energy and there is also Yin earth (己 earth) to support the day ruler, it can achieve wealth; if the official star has other support, it can achieve some rank. The days of Gengxu (庚戌) and Gengchen (庚辰) are Qiu Gāng days, which are not suitable for wealth and official stars to be strong, but when the hour is Dinghai, it becomes noble. As long as one does not meet癸, Si, Wu, or Xin to break it, one will have extensive knowledge and broad insight; without being broken and with the support of a nobleman, one will ultimately achieve success and good fortune.

If one encounters water characters such as Hai, Gui, Kan, or Ren, the blessings will be reduced; if one encounters fire characters such as Bing, Ding, Si, or Wu, the reputation will spread far.
