If Chou and Xu meet, they act as a key, which is auspicious. When the癸water is strong, it receives blessings, and there will be no calamity. The conclusion says: on a Gui day with Jiwei time, the treasury contains a ghost that consumes the body, and the day ruler is weak. If one does not meet卯or Xu to act as a key to open the treasury, one will remain locked and unable to achieve prosperity. Although fallen flowers can revive and bear fruit, it is difficult to have harmony between parents and spouse. Even if one is poor at first and then becomes rich, discarding the old and welcoming the new is without hindrance.

六癸日生時庚申，官星印旺在其支；柱中無己丙寅巳，自有榮華富貴時。癸日庚申時，作專印合祿。癸以戊為正官，庚為正印，申上庚旺戊生，以申合巳中戊丙，癸日得財官，若有倚托，柱中無財及破害刑沖官印，主貴；柱中有財，行財運，反覆進退，少貴。

Any person born on a癸 day and at aGengshen hour, has the庚 gold印绶 in a strong position in the branch, and the申 branch contains hidden official stars. If the four pillars do not contain己, 丙, 寅, or巳 to disturb, they will naturally achieve honor and wealth. Specifically, when癸 day meetsGengshen hour, it is considered the 'Special Official and Wealth Combination' pattern.癸 water takes 戊 earth as its 'official star' and 庚 metal as its 'official seal'. The庚 gold is strong in the申 branch, and 戊 earth is in its growth phase in the申. Using the申 to combine with the戊 earth and丙 fire in the巳, the癸 day gains wealth and official status. If the four pillars have support, and there is no visible wealth star, nor any damage, harm, conflict, or clash to the official and seal, it indicates high status. The official star and the print are both in harmony. If there is a clash or conflict with Hai, Yin, Shen, Bing, or Si, then the hour will be separated and combined, leading to instability in life. If there is no damage, one may pass the imperial examination and gain fame. Common people may also have peace and prosperity. If there is truly no punishment, harm, or evil stars, it is like a peacock turning into a phoenix.

Specifically, when癸 day meetsXinyou time, it is a case of both visible and hidden枭 (a type of harmful star). The presence of辛 metal harms癸 water, which is called '倒食' (reverse consumption). Since辛 metal is strong in酉, the癸 water loses its place; if there is no support in the four pillars, one can only rely on a nobleman for survival; if there is support, it is auspicious. ForGuichou day paired withXinyou time: those born in autumn form the '印绶' (nourishing and supporting) pattern, and if their fortune moves towards official and harmful stars, it is favorable; those born in winter achieve both fortune and rank. If the year and month contain子 or寅, and there are no戊 or己 in the heavenly stems to interfere, they will attain high status.

On a day of Gui Hai with a time of Xinyou: those born in the month of Xu and traveling in the direction of Southeast may attain high official rank and purple robe; those traveling in the direction of Northeast may become imperial censors. Those born in the month of Zi are considered "Jian Lu" (established fortune), and if the year also has wealth and official positions, they will achieve great prosperity. The rhyme says: when the heavenly stem is Gui and the time is in the hour of Shen or You, one must use all one's ingenuity all day long; although the official and the seal (authority) are mutually generating and the seal comes to harmonize, one's mind may have grand plans, but one can only remain content with ease and routine. The interpretation says: on a day of Gui with a time of Xinyou, the inverted food (a type of affliction) and the biased seal (a type of wisdom) appear together, making it difficult to endure; in the four pillars there is no support, so one can only remain in poverty. If the month has wealth and official positions, it is still acceptable. But be afraid that the water of Gui loses its position and cannot control this piece of metal energy, then what can be done? The six relations and family members scatter in different directions, making it a life of hardship.

六癸日生日壬戌，支內正官生財庫；月兼有救貴多成，倚托若無終不富。癸日壬戌時，水火既濟，癸用丙丁為財，戊土為官，戊與癸合旺，為人智謀，通月氣有倚托者貴；不通，平常；通火土月氣，富貴雙全；運氣通，亦吉。

If someone is born on a癸 day and has aRenxu hour, theWu Earth in戌 is the official star and also the treasury of丙 and丁 fire, which represent wealth. The rhyme says: Tianyi Nobleman and the壬 and 癸 are above the戌 hour; the wealth and official positions in the warehouse await the key to open them; once there is no clash, they remain locked up, making it difficult for youth to prosper and leading to disasters. The interpretation says: On a癸 day with theRenxu hour, the fortune has abundant warehouses; the General Star and Heavenly Virtue support each other; the characters 辰 and 戌 act as keys to open the warehouse. Although the earth element is strong, the water flow is continuous, and the six relations should have kindness, but they become distant. As long as it does not fall into Kongwang, there is benefit, and in middle age, prosperity and happiness are achieved.

六癸日生時癸亥，祿馬飛天臨旺神；不見官星兼惹絆，必為貴格異常人。癸日癸亥時，祿馬飛天格，癸水亥健旺，癸用戊為官，丙為財，亥中丙戊俱絕，癸無財官，卻亥去沖出巳中丙戊，飛來就癸為財官，柱無戊己惹絆及官星破祿，若見庚辛，清白而秀，為人智慧，貴為方面。

All those born on a癸 day and at aGuihai hour form the 'Flying Heavenly Wealth and Horse' pattern, with the day's ruler resting on a strong deity. As long as there is no visible official star and no other characters to interfere, the pattern is certainly noble and different from ordinary people. Specifically, on a癸 day meeting a癸亥 hour, it is considered the 'Flying Wealth and Horse' pattern.癸 water is strong in亥;癸 water takes戊 earth as official and丙 fire as wealth. However, both丙 fire and戊 earth are in the state of绝 in亥, meaning that癸 water itself has no wealth or official. Therefore,亥 is used to冲出 the丙 fire and戊 earth in巳, bringing them over to serve癸 water as wealth and official. If there is no戊 or己 to interfere and no visible official star to destroy the wealth luck, and if there are庚 or辛 to nourish the self, the person will be pure and refined, with a bright mind and intelligence, and can be esteemed as a high-ranking official in a region.

On a day of Gui Chou paired with a time of Gui Hai: Between Hai and Chou, the position of Zi is empty and forms an 'arching for official rank' pattern. If born in the month of Si, You, or Chou, it forms the 'fortune virtue elegance' pattern. If born in the month of Wu, it is ordinary. If born in the month of Mao or You and the fortune moves towards the southern direction, it can reach the rank of gold seal and purple ribbon or become an imperial censor, but the lifespan is difficult to be long. On a day of Gui Mao paired with a time of Gui Hai: The destiny is ordinary, and the day column forms the 'day noble' pattern. If born in the month of Yin or Mao, it is considered as 'hurt official', and if the fortune moves towards the metal and water regions, it can become an imperial censor. If born in the month of Chen, Xu, Chou, or Wei, the official star is strong. If the earth branch is pure Mao, it attains the rank of third grade. On a Guihai day with a Guihai hour: the person is intelligent and free-spirited, and will become wealthy in middle age. Those born in the winter month will form the "Flying Heavenly禄 Horse" pattern, and if the four pillars do not contain Wu, Ji, or Zi (the original text says "Si" but should be "Ji") to fill and bind, they will attain high status; otherwise, they will be isolated and harmed, possibly becoming a monk or Taoist, but still regarded as refined. If the year and month contain Chen and Hai and the heavenly stem reveals Xin or Ren, and there is no Si to fill, the person will be wise and have great capacity, attaining high status. Those born in the month of Mao will reach the rank of golden seal and purple sash. Those who see Si and Chou will also attain high status. The rhyme says: "Heavy Yin water reveals the waves of the sea, but in youth, there is no opportunity, only toil and delay. A trapped dragon only becomes powerful when it is released, and when the time is not right, the tiger lies on the hillside without any use."

癸日時逢癸亥，敗財帶祿亨通。喜宜秋夏忌春冬，戊丙庚木富盛。巳亥甲丙反覆，六親大不和同。一身不定好翻騰，先敗後成之命。以上諸命，原本十之六，增十之四，間有一命而兩載者，傳聞之誤，豈曰無之，要在知命者以意消息之可也。

The interpretation states: On a day of Gui, when the hour is Guihai, although it is a day of劫财 and败财, it carries the luck of a noble position and can be prosperous. It is favorable in autumn and summer, but unfavorable in spring and winter; encountering Wu, Bing, Geng, and wood brings wealth and prosperity. However, encountering Si, Hai, Jia, and Bing leads to instability and discord among the Six Relations. The person is always wandering and restless, experiencing initial failure followed by eventual success. The examples of interpreting the day and hour for destiny mentioned above, about six-tenths are from old sources, and about four-tenths are added in this book. Occasionally, the same example appears in two places, and there are also cases where the information is inaccurate. How can it be said that there is nothing false? The important thing is for those who understand destiny to judge and choose for themselves.
