金入五車，留不去，秦國金玉貴。一曰：兵大起。一曰：萬人已上入國，以宿占其國。金乘守天庫，中國兵所向，無不勝。有自來王，將其人民中國，國有大喜。金守南河，天下難起，道塞。金犯五諸侯，與兵者亡國。金犯南河戒，邊兵，臣有謀，若兵起，夷狄君憂，若毀亡。

金犯軒轅御女，天子僕死。金入軒轅中，犯乘守之，有逆賊，若大災。犯軒轅大星，女主憂。金出東井，犯必有白龍出左右。金入少微，君當求賢佐，則失威奪勢。太白犯少微，名士有憂，王者任用小人，忠臣被害者死。

When Chén Xīng is located in a certain mansion, if the star is small and clear, it is auspicious, indicating the cessation of punishment and litigation, and the peace of the people. If the star is large and its light is intense, then the administration becomes chaotic, litigation increases, people suffer from dangers and harm, and there is an appearance of blockage and resistance. When Chén Xīng is located in a certain territory, the country tends to be full of cunning strategies and intelligence, and warfare is considered a skill.

人君當以冬時，修辰星之政，恤孤獨，察阿黨，謹蓋藏，修積聚，培城郭，戒門閭，慎管龠，固封疆，備邊境，防要害，慎關梁，不為淫佚，命將帥講武，射御角力，節事省己，則辰星順度。人君若淫佚非道，縱恣外戚，不禁近習，不恆獄刑，起眾發徵，開洩藏氣，則辰星失行，伏見不常，伏見而有芒角矣，則民疾疫隨之，以喪亡，國不昌。

The sovereign should enact policies corresponding to the planet Chen Xing during winter: care for orphans and the elderly, investigate secret cliques, be cautious in storing and preserving resources, repair granaries and stockpiles, reinforce city walls, guard the gates of the neighborhood, be careful with keys and locks, consolidate borders, guard against border threats, control key areas, be vigilant at passes, bridges, and checkpoints, avoid indulgence in pleasures, command generals and officers to practice military skills, test archery, wrestling, and combat, regulate government affairs and reflect on self-discipline. If the sovereign is licentious and tyrannical, indulges in favorites, fails to restrain close attendants, applies punishments inconsistently, launches military campaigns and conscripts laborers, and leaks the winter's energy meant for concealment, then the planet Chen Xing will lose its regular path, appearing or disappearing unpredictably. Once it appears with apointed rays, epidemics will follow, leading to continuous deaths and the nation will not flourish.

人君以冬時行春令，則歲星之氣干之，辰星色青，君憂刑獄動，生死不當，地凍不密，氣洩，人流亡。來春蝗蟲為災，水泉竭，民多疥癘胎夭，多痼疾，斷官凶；以為冬行夏令，則熒惑之氣干之，辰星色赤而小昧，刑禍並起，兵旱，國多暴風，冬不雪不寒，氣霧冥昧，雷發聲矣；以冬行秋令，則太白之氣干之，辰星色白，則威刑並作，獄訟軍旅，同時而興，霜雪不時小兵起地，侵四鄙八堡矣。

令逆時，則辰星不軌，錯逆動行，降之以刑誅，大臣刑戮作矣。命得時，則獲詔矣。自辰星降之以治矣，民靜而國安，軍威而邊固，無危難，人君聽察是非，智慮聽審，刑戮當其儀，允則辰星明光，小國順道降治矣。若君聽讒言，任佞，刑戮無辜，獄訟停滯，其儀不當，則辰星垂芒，氣暈不明，天降刑戮，人亂矣，國者不昌。

若用兵，辰星出東方，色白即勝，外邦敗；出西方色赤，西方勝，中國敗，無兵。辰星色黃，有福。辰星有角，小戰。辰星色黑三芒，有罷兵，天下無兵。辰星太白出西方，水居金星前滅，日在西北，陰邦有兵，謀以戰，主人勝；在西南，陽有兵，謀在外戰，客勝。辰星與太白在西南，南方事；在西北，北方事；正在酉，陰國事；正在卯，陽國事。辰星與宿星合，為亡地。五星與辰星合，為將死；水土合，為覆軍，軍合斗，為戰無兵，內亂。

If Jupiter and Mars appear together in the southwest, it relates to events in the south; if they appear together in the northwest, it relates to events in the north; if Jupiter is exactly at the酉 position, it relates to the Yin side's country; if it is exactly at the卯 position, it relates to the Yang side's country. If Jupiter combines with the fixed stars, it indicates the loss of territory. If the five planets combine with Jupiter, it indicates the death of generals; if Mercury combines with Saturn, it indicates the destruction of armies; if two armies combine and fight, there will be no major military disaster, but there will be internal strife.

水出東方，大而白，天下有兵、有水。水金俱出東方，皆赤而角，中邦敗，負海國勝。水入月中，人主敗戰、亡地。金水旗出，破軍殺將，客勝。視旗所指，以命破軍，水環繞太白，若與鬥戰，客勝，主人吏死。水遇金間可成劍，小戰客勝。太白去三尺，軍急約戰。水色黑三芒，天子有兵，一時再見，則有軍在外有罷。水在金北出，利主人；出金南，利客。

If the Water Star appears north of the Metal Star, it benefits the defending side; if it appears south of the Metal Star, it benefits the attacking side.

辰星水性，平而且智，故主刑獄焉。辰星伏而不見經時，斷獄者失理矣，人君察之。辰星伏見以時，斷獄平矣。辰星怒芒角，有暴獄，不則水損城郭，傷嘉苗。

角：水乘左角為旱，乘右角為水。一曰：為水、兵戰。水守角，王者刑罰急。水守角，大水滂滂，人民往來，舟船相望。留兩角間，關梁阻塞，軍有興國庭者，邊戎阻塞。

The "Jiao" mansion belongs to the territory of Zheng in the Yanzhou region, and it is regarded as the gate of heaven. The left Jiao governs legal affairs, while the right Jiao governs generals and commanders. If the water star approaches and presses upon the left Jiao, it indicates drought; if it approaches and presses upon the right Jiao, it indicates water disasters; another interpretation suggests both water disasters and military conflicts. If the water star remains stationed at the Jiao mansion, it signifies harsh punishments by the sovereign. It also indicates great floods, with people fleeing and moving about, and boats seen end to end. If the water star stays between the left and right Jiao, it suggests blockage of checkpoints and bridges, military movements within the court, and the blocking of communication routes with the border tribes.

亢：水入亢，其國病疫。水守亢者，國有憂，天下大亂。水守亢，逆行不順，其色明大，政未行。水逆行守，為中兵。一云：五星守亢為中兵。

The star "Kang" (亢) mansion corresponds to the region of Zheng in Yanzhou, and it is the domain of the Son of Heaven's inner court, governing distant ancestral temples and epidemics. When the water star enters the Kang mansion, it indicates an epidemic spreading throughout the country. If the water star halts in the Kang mansion, it signifies the country faces calamity and great chaos. If the water star逆行 (retrogrades) and halts in the Kang mansion without order, with bright color and large form, it suggests that the government's decrees cannot be implemented. If the water star retrogrades and halts in the Kang mansion, there will be military unrest within the capital; another interpretation states that whenever any of the five stars halt in the Kang mansion, there will be military unrest within the capital.

氐：水入氐，貴臣暴憂，法官有獄事。水乘氐右星，天下有大水大兵；乘氐右星，天子有自將兵於地野外。房：水入房十日，成句巳，為大人惡之，以赦解之。水守房，天下水火起，不則有兵。水守房，為胡兵發。水守房，有白衣之會。

The "Di" mansion corresponds to the region of Zheng in Yanzhou, representing the root of heaven, being the palace where the empress rests. When the water star enters the "Di" mansion, it indicates sudden misfortune for a noble minister, and officials in charge of law and punishment will face lawsuits. If the water star overshadows the right star of the "Di" mansion, it signifies great floods and large-scale military conflicts; overshadowing the right star of the "Di" mansion also indicates the emperor personally leading troops beyond the outskirts of the capital. The "Fang" mansion corresponds to the region of Song in Yuzhou, representing the celestial horse and the Bright Hall, governing carriages, horses, and state affairs. When the water star enters the "Fang" mansion for ten days, its path curves like the shape of "gou" and "si," indicating that the nobleman considers this an omen of misfortune, and a pardon decree is needed to resolve it. When the water star remains in the "Fang" mansion, it signifies disasters of water and fire occurring throughout the land, or alternatively, military conflicts. When the water star remains in the "Fang" mansion, it also indicates the outbreak of Hu troops. When the water star remains in the "Fang" mansion, it also signifies gatherings involving funerals.

When the planet Water stops at the Heart Mansion, it symbolizes water extinguishing fire; if it remains for three days, it indicates the sovereign mistakenly consuming poison, loyal ministers fighting each other, mountains collapsing, rivers breaking their banks, and floods overflowing. When Water stops at the Heart Mansion, it signifies great floods and the loss of order throughout the realm. It also corresponds to the fire element, indicating many bandits and mutual hatred among the people. When Water stops at the Heart Mansion, it presages a great defeat and a change in the royal surname. It also signifies ministers killing the sovereign. If Water retrogrades, stays, invades, halts, or dominates the Heart Mansion, it indicates someone rising in rebellion, internal disturbances within the palace, ministers plotting to usurp the throne, and members of the royal family and powerful ministers seizing power.

尾：水入尾，天下大水，江河決溢，魚鹽貴三倍。水入尾天江，天下水。水守尾箕，後宮有省罷者。一曰：後宮有罪者。水守尾，大飢，人相食，民異其國，君子賣子，妃后亂。

If the water star halts at the Tail mansion, it portends a great famine, people eating each other, commoners abandoning their homeland, scholars selling their children, and concubines and empresses engaging in licentiousness.

箕：水入箕，天下大赦。水入箕，大人當之。水守箕，若動角芒，貴者有棄，自相滅。水守箕，七日以內禍災起，若有疾風解之，消。

If Venus enters the center of Hairy Head, there will be a flood three zhang deep; if it stays for twenty or sixty days in the center of Hairy Head, the country's gates will be opened, and a large number of foreign guests will arrive, the state affairs will be extremely dangerous, there will be changes in government orders, or foreign states will come to submit on their own. If Venus stays in Hairy Head and Big Net mansions and then moves southeast to the 'Heavenly Street' until 'Five Wagons', there will be military movements on the borders, and there will also be an amnesty decree.

Saturn remaining in the Willow Mansion indicates a traitorous minister, with military action occurring both inside and outside the capital, requiring imperial edicts of benevolence and virtue to resolve. Saturn remaining in the Willow Mansion also indicates that a nobleman expands territory, followed by an edict of virtue, which will be fulfilled within ninety days.

七星：水守犯七星，有君置太子者。水留七星，為天下大憂之，中兵。水犯七星，即兵內亂起。若守二十日已上，有水。水守七星，貴人有罪，若法官有憂也。水守犯七星，三月已上，賊臣在側，若叛臣，皆九十日應。

流星者，天皇之使，五行之散精也。飛行列宿，告示休咎。若星大，使大；星小，使小。星大則事大而害深，星小則事小而禍淺。有尾跡光為流星，無尾跡者為飛星，至地者為墜星。出則使出，入則使入。干犯滅則為誅罰之象。墜星之所，其下流血，破軍殺將，為咎最深。

A meteor is the messenger of the Celestial Emperor, formed from the vital energy dispersed by the Five Phases. It travels among the constellations, used to indicate auspicious or inauspicious events. A large star signifies a significant mission, while a small star signifies a minor mission. A large star indicates a major event with deep consequences, while a small star indicates a minor event with shallow consequences. Those with a tail of light are called 'meteors', those without a tail are called 'flying stars', and those that fall to the ground are called 'falling stars'. If a star moves outward from the inside, it signifies the messenger going out; if it moves inward from the outside, it signifies the messenger returning to court. If a star collides with another star and then fades out, it is an omen of punishment. Where a falling star lands, there will surely be bloodshed, the collapse of armies, and the death of generals, indicating the deepest calamity.

蜀後主建興十年，諸葛亮帥大眾伐魏，屯兵於渭南。有長星赤而芒角，自東北西南流投營，三投再還，往大還小，占曰：兩軍相當，有大流星流來走軍上及墜軍者，皆破敗之兆也。九月，亮卒于軍營而退，群帥交爭，多相殘誅。

In the tenth year of the Later Han Shu emperor Jianxing, Zhuge Liang led a large army to attack the Cao Wei, and stationed his troops south of the Wei River. At that time, there was a long bright star with a red color and a tail, flying from the northeast to the southwest, heading towards the Shu army's camp. It descended three times and returned twice, appearing large when it approached and small when it retreated. The divination text says: when two armies are facing each other, if a large falling star flies over the military camp or falls into it, it is a sign of defeat. In that September, Zhuge Liang died in the military camp, and the Shu army retreated. The generals fought for power among themselves, and there were many cases of mutual killing and punishment.

魏景初二年，司馬仲達懿圍公孫淵於襄平。八月丙寅夜，有大流星，長數十丈，色白有芒鬣，從首出東北，流墜襄平城東南。占曰：圍城而有流星來走城上及墜城中者，軍破。又曰：星墜當其下有戰傷。又曰：凡星所墜，國易姓。九月，淵突圍，走至襄平星墜所，破斬屠城，坑其眾。

In the second year of Jingchu of the Cao Wei dynasty, Sima Yi (style name Zhongda) surrounded Gongsun Yuan in Xiangping. On the night of the 13th day of the eighth lunar month, a large meteor, several dozen zhang long, white in color with a bristling tail, appeared and flew toward the northeast from its origin, falling in the southeast of Xiangping city. The divination text says: When a meteor flies over the city walls or falls into the city during a siege, it indicates the defeat of the army. It also says: Where the star falls, there will be casualties from battle. It also says: Wherever a star falls, the country will change its surname. In this same ninth lunar month, Gongsun Yuan broke out of the siege and was heading toward the place where the star had fallen when he was defeated and killed. The Wei army then destroyed the city and massacred his followers.

景元四年六月，大流星二，並如斗見西方，分流南北，光照地，隆隆有聲。占曰：流星為貴使，星大者使大。是年鍾會、鄧艾克蜀。二星二帥之象，二帥相背分流之象應也。鍾會既叛，三軍怒。隆隆有聲，兵將怒之驗也。

In the fourth year of the Jingyuan era of the Cao Wei dynasty, in June, two large meteors, each as big as a bucket, appeared in the west and flew respectively toward the north and south, shining brightly on the ground and making a loud rumbling sound. The divination text says: meteors symbolize envoys of distinguished officials; the larger the star, the higher the rank of the envoy. In this year, Zhong Hui and Deng Ai conquered Shu Han, and the two stars corresponded to the images of the two generals. The two stars moving apart in opposite directions corresponded to the mutual estrangement between the two generals. Later, Zhong Hui rebelled, and the army was filled with anger; the loud rumbling sound of the meteor flow was exactly the verification of the anger of the soldiers and officers.

凡流星有芒角者及有聲為怒，色潤而遲為喜。疾則事速，緩而事遲。眾星皆流，人遷之象。星數流者，天下大兵，急使馳驛之象也，皆以色占。色青為飢為憂，色赤為旱為兵，色黃為喜為土功，色白為兵為刑罰，色黑為病死疾疫。各以其休王占之，各以其日辰所在宿分國屬而占。

All meteors with bright rays or making sound indicate anger; those with smooth color and slow movement indicate joy. If the movement is fast, the matter will come quickly; if slow, it will come later. When all stars fly together, it indicates people moving and migrating. If meteors frequently appear, it indicates great warfare in the world, and urgent messengers rushing through the roads. These should be judged according to the colors of the stars: a blue color indicates famine and worries, a red color indicates drought and warfare, a yellow color indicates joy and construction of earth and wood, a white color indicates warfare and punishment, and a black color indicates disease, death, and plague. Also, they should be judged according to the Five Phases' prosperity and decline, and according to the constellations where the day branch is located, their corresponding regions, and the countries they belong to.
