太陰乃是水之精，才出中天萬國明。初夜一輪光皓潔，人皆瞻仰快人情。配母道，身從生，溫柔豐美好儀形。水日兩曜相交換，貴位居宜始見榮。

"The Tai Yin" is the essence of water's qi, and once it rises to the middle heaven, all countries become bright. On the first night, the moonlight is bright and pure, and people look up to it, which brings comfort to the heart. Tai Yin corresponds to the way of a mother, and thus it is present in the human body; those who are governed by it have gentle dispositions, are well-proportioned and beautiful, and have an outstanding appearance. If the "Chen Star" (water) and the "Tai Yang" (sun) stars exchange positions, Tai Yin then occupies a noble position, and thus begins to show signs of honor and prominence.

歲德同宮賢聖善，外家送物不曾停。夜火會，得延齡；晝生風癱母須刑。土星言語多遲吶，計羅眼目更無晶。金好色，妻必淫，不賢內正非禮迎。

When the Moon is positioned over the Extended Net Mansion, it is called "Heavenly Court." This indicates that one's ability is sufficient to manage affairs, with lofty aspirations. Their appearance is upright and dignified, and they will gain honor and prestige early in life. In old age, their good fortune remains stable. The Zhang Moon is the original degree of the Moon.

月翼：月躔翼宿號天迍，雖然祿位也艱辛。骨肉分離難保守，又知壽夭是元因。月軫：月躔軫宿號天理，勇智多端文學取。少年辛苦老豐隆，赫奕聲名傳萬里。

When the Moon (Tai Yin) reaches the Wings Mansion (Yi Xu): it is called "Heavenly Obstruction." Although it may attain a position of honor, it comes with great difficulty. Family members are separated, and it is hard to remain together. One must also know that a short lifespan is the root cause. When the Moon (Tai Yin) reaches the Chariot Mansion (Zhen Xu): it is called "Heavenly Principle." It indicates bravery, intelligence, and resourcefulness, and one can achieve success through literature. There will be hardship in youth, but prosperity in old age; reputation will be widespread and renowned across the land.

月命宮：月照人無俗孤，多自有成掌財宜，市賈托貴有權名，性急招言妒妻良。贅可膺若能員，夜照財祿自興榮。又曰：照命分明有太陰，生來財祿不勞尋。凶神若也來相犯，到老無成枉用心。太陰喜獨行則吉，凶神相犯，變吉為凶。

The Moon (Tai Yin) illuminating the命宫: When the Moon shines upon one's命宫, it indicates that this person does not conform to the common ways and tends to be somewhat lonely. They are usually self-reliant and can achieve success. They are suitable for managing wealth. In business, they can rely on the Nobleman and enjoy authority and reputation. If they can be flexible and comprehensive, even if they marry into another family, they can bear the burden. The Moon (Tai Yin) shining on the Wealth Palace: When the Moon is in the Wealth Palace, there is deep fortune. If it is also in a strong and flourishing position, there will be an abundance of jewels and gold. However, if the Food God (Shi Shen) also shines upon it, then even though there is property, misfortunes will come. The Food God is the deity that devours the Moon, and when it meets the Moon, the Moon is eclipsed. The Moon shining on the Brothers Palace: Brothers, whether close or distant, are like siblings. If the Moon is present, there is great fortune. However, one should be cautious if there are many sisters, especially those born from different mothers, and if brothers live apart in different directions, making it difficult for them to live under the same roof. The Moon is associated with females, so the number of females is used to interpret this.

Because Tai Yin represents women, it brings honor and prestige, and property will continuously increase and be abundant; even if they move to three different places, they can restore family honor. If there are no malevolent stars affecting the Field and Residence sector, it is a favorable situation. The "Tai Yin" aspect on the Male and Female sector: Tai Yin, as a Yin element, is associated with the female aspect and appears in the sector of children. Few people understand the significance of this. It is considered a rare and auspicious configuration if a woman is born first, followed by a son. In this case, not only are the children handsome and free from harm, but they will also achieve high status and success in exams. Since Tai Yin symbolizes the mother, it is considered favorable.

月奴僕：六位名為奴僕宮，為官須有吉星逢。月守是宮先克父，晝生夜照母先凶。夜生人吉晝生人反此。月妻妾：太陰西沒最為佳，明靜之宮無點瑕。更若尊星相對望，必生貴子佐皇家。主妻美麗清潔。

The "Too Yin" star illuminates the servant's palace: the sixth position is called the servant's palace. To attain officialdom, one must meet auspicious stars. When the "Too Yin" star is in this palace, it first harms the father. If someone is born during the day but is under the influence of "Too Yin" at night, the mother will first face danger. 月疾厄：太陰臨照八宮存，畢世災危杳不聞。忌曜莫教同此位，雙眸渾似月遮雲。日月為天眼，月在疾厄以目論。月遷移：太陰得在九宮中，三合加臨照命同。偏利遷移商賈客，必因陰貴得財豐。

"Taiyin" shining on the Ninth House: Taiyin falls in the Ninth House and is supported by the Triple Harmony position, producing the same effect as when it shines on the House of Fate. 月官祿：太陰官祿作身宮，朗朗光華福倍隆。更在廟方功愈重，貴因皇戚得侯封。要在廟旺之宮方有此貴。月福德：陰耦來臨福德宮，雍容道德貴尊崇。更有吉星來本位，為官須坐玉堂中。吉星同度主有大福。月相貌：相貌宮中有太陰，命中吉曜喜相侵。忽然忌曜來相犯，甘旨空持養母心。有吉星主吉，有凶殺則凶。

"Tai Yin" shining on the official position宫: Tai Yin in the official position宫 also serves as the body宫, radiating bright light, with double the fortune and prosperity. If it falls in a favorable position, achievements will be even more profound; it can also lead to being granted a marquis title through relations with the royal family. However, this noble quality is only present when it is in a favorable or strong position宫."Tai Yin" shining on the virtue and fortune宫: Tai Yin, this gentle and even celestial body, coming to the virtue and fortune宫, indicates that the person has an elegant appearance, high moral standards, and esteemed status. If there are also auspicious stars in this position, he can hold an official position in the Jade Hall. Auspicious stars accompanying it indicate great fortune."Tai Yin" shining on the appearance宫: Having Tai Yin in the appearance宫 means that the native's auspicious stars are close to it. If a harmful star suddenly comes to interfere, one can only hold sweet food in empty hands, with the heart to support one's mother, but the mother is already gone. 天乙紫氣續木之餘，在天無象，以木德最厚，立此名以追步，其餘光用之效久不廢。其行度無伏見遲疾退留，自奎宿十一度至十五度為正廟。或言觜宿廟，又言牛宿廟，躔室、牛為旺，尾、箕為樂。

"The Purple Qi" is also known as "Heavenly Ethereal Purple Qi," and it is one of the four surplus stars. It belongs to the residual energy of Jupiter. It is not a visible star in the sky, but rather a phantom star calculated by astronomers. However, in the Five Phases, it contains the most pure and thick wood energy. Therefore, ancient people established this term specifically to track its movement. Although it is invisible, its influence on human affairs has repeatedly proven effective over time and does not lose its effect. When it moves, it does not exhibit changes such as concealment, appearance, slowness, speed, retreat, or stagnation; it always progresses at a constant speed. In terms of its position in the mansions, the Purple Qi reaches its proper dwelling place when it is between the 11th and 15th degrees of the "Kui Mansion." Another view considers the "Zi Mansion" as its dwelling place, and yet another view considers the "Niu Mansion" as its dwelling place. When it reaches the "Shi Mansion" and "Niu Mansion," it is in a flourishing position, while when it reaches the "Wei Mansion" and "Ji Mansion," it is in a peaceful and comfortable place.

若人身命宮值之，更在廟旺無凶照破，處世富貴，福壽雙全，仁慈道德，好善樂賢能，解計、孛、火、土之難。若臨陷沒，亦九流僧道。其星為孤星，主人心孤身寡，一生好靜，為人之壽星，又為文人解宿。

If a person's body palace or destiny palace is occupied by "Purple Qi" and it is located in a flourishing and strong position, and there are no malevolent stars shining upon or breaking through it, then this person will achieve wealth and honor in life, possessing both good fortune and longevity. His nature is kind and benevolent, devoted to morality, fond of doing good deeds, and eager to associate with virtuous people. The Purple Qi can also alleviate the disasters brought by the four celestial bodies: "Ji Du," "Yue Bo," "Fire Star," and "Earth Star." If the Purple Qi is located in a weakened and hidden position, the person is likely to follow the path of esoteric arts or become a monk or Taoist. Purple Qi itself is a solitary star, indicating a lonely heart and a scarcity of close relatives, with a lifelong preference for quietness. For the person's destiny, it is a longevity star, and for scholars, it serves as a Relief Deity that dispels calamities.

但守身命，為人豁達之操，對照則為福德，但癸人見之減力，六辛人為天祿。情性清慈，吉祥之曜，主道藝之流。若人生時臨照，主富貴長壽，遇凶而不成災，凡二十九年行一周天。

Purple Qi is beneficial when it is located in the person's body palace or destiny palace, leading to an open and broad-minded character. However, if it shines from the opposite palace at a distance, it indicates a life filled with deep fortune and virtue. Nevertheless, for those born on a癸 day stem, the effect of Purple Qi is weakened. For those born on a辛 day stem, Purple Qi transforms into "Heavenly禄" (Heavenly禄), indicating official rank and titles. Overall, Purple Qi is a benevolent and harmonious celestial body, associated with people who pursue spiritual cultivation or skilled crafts. If someone is born at a time when Purple Qi is present, they are destined for wealth and longevity, and even if they encounter malevolent stars, they can overcome the difficulties without suffering serious misfortune. Purple Qi takes approximately twenty-nine years to complete its cycle around the sky.

紫氣眾星中最善，形相分明人仰羨，心懷仁義性溫柔，作事與人為方便，無妒毒，多謹願，少病，利官長壽筭，好耽僧道立身孤，舉措施為慵更懶。

The star "Zi Qi" is the most benevolent among all the stars. Those who are born with this star in their destiny have clear and upright appearances, which are admired and envied by others. They hold kindness and righteousness in their hearts, are gentle and compliant in nature, and always leave room for others when dealing with matters. Such people lack jealousy and cruelty, are cautious and honest, and rarely fall ill. This star is beneficial for official positions and prolongs life. However, they have a particular fondness for Buddhist and Taoist matters, leading to a solitary way of life. Their behavior tends to be lazy and relaxed, lacking the drive to strive forward.

太陽近貴作閒人，月會母親先化幻，夜火同時醫與巫，土木更來尤懶慢。金同妻妾是娼尼，水會智能稱俊彥，彗星分得賊人財。彗星即月孛也，能盜人財物。天首僧尼訟爭戰，天尾星同有機變。天尾星計都也。

Purple Qi is close to the Sun, meaning a person may be close to a nobleman but will ultimately remain a leisurely person; when it meets the Taiyin, it indicates the mother's death first, and family members come and go like shadows. A person born at night, if Purple Qi is in conjunction with the Mars, is likely to be a doctor or a shaman. If the Earth Star and the Jupiter are also present, the person becomes even more lazy and slow. When Purple Qi is in conjunction with the Venus, the wife or concubine is likely to come from a brothel or a nun's convent; when it meets the Mercury, the person is intelligent and talented, and can be considered a remarkable figure of his time. When Purple Qi is in conjunction with a comet, it can enable the person to share in the stolen property of thieves—the comet is also called the Moon孛, which has the ability to steal others' belongings. When Purple Qi is in conjunction with the Tian Shou, which is also called the Luo Hou, it indicates involvement with monks and nuns, and often leads to disputes and conflicts; when it meets the Tian Wei, which is also called the Ji Du, the person tends to be cunning and skillful in strategy.

財位橫來財寶現，三宮姊妹或為僧，田宅高田主鉅富，奴僕門下出緇流，子息須知女先見，西沒宮中妻密情，更與別人情似線，八宮終不染時災，官位不曾見州縣，九宮遊賈福宮閒，相貌為人性良善。

Purple Qi falling in the Wealth and Property宫 indicates unexpected wealth will suddenly appear; falling in the Third Brother宫 indicates that someone among the sisters will become a monk or nun; falling in the Fourth Field and House宫 indicates possession of good farmland in high places and great wealth; falling in the Servant宫 indicates that there will be a monk wearing black robes in the household; falling in the Children宫 indicates that the first child is more likely to be a daughter. Falling in the Seventh Concubine宫, which is the West Setting宫, indicates the wife has private affection and is connected with outsiders; falling in the Eighth Illness and Misfortune宫 indicates that one will not suffer from epidemic diseases throughout life; falling in the Official Position宫 indicates that even county-level positions cannot be attained. Falling in the Ninth Migration宫 indicates that people often travel and do business outside; falling in the Fortune and Virtue宫 indicates a life of leisure; falling in the Appearance宫 indicates that the person's nature is kind and benevolent.
