女命以夫星為主，看起在何宮。若得位，或吉星生之，或從陽三方對照，加吉星者，必嫁好夫可隨。人盤逐宮推詳：入官祿得地，主夫有貴；入福德，主夫有福；入財帛，主夫有財；入兄弟，主夫有見棄相嫌，恐與兄弟有情；入田宅，主夫有業；入奴僕，主夫勞碌，喜為庖廚，或與奴僕通；入男女，主有子媳；入七宮，或因親而成；入疾厄，主夫有疾；入遷移，主夫遠出或離祖；入相貌，主夫有貌；入命宮與吉加臨，得用相生，富貴雙全。

Female destiny interpretation focuses on the "husband star." First, check which palace the husband star is located in. If the husband star is in a favorable palace, or if it is supported by auspicious stars, or if it is in a yang position in the three surrounding palaces, and also meets with auspicious stars, then the woman will certainly marry a good husband and have a life of support. Then, according to the human plate, analyze each palace in detail: if the husband star is in the official fortune palace and is in a favorable position, the husband will be of high status; if it is in the fortune virtue palace, the husband will have good fortune; if it is in the wealth palace, the husband will be wealthy; if it is in the brother palace, the husband may look down on her and fear she has private relations with the husband's brothers; if it is in the property palace, the husband will have property; if it is in the servant palace, the husband will be busy and like to handle cooking affairs, or may have private relations with servants; if it is in the male-female palace, there will be sons and daughters-in-law; if it is in the seventh palace, which is the marriage palace, the marriage may be formed through family relations; if it is in the illness palace, the husband will have illness; if it is in the movement palace, the husband will go away from home or leave his ancestral business; if it is in the appearance palace, the husband will be handsome; if it is in the destiny palace and is accompanied by auspicious stars that can generate and support each other, then both wealth and status will be achieved.

又看得經失經如何，或加殺，或加四餘，逐宮推看，恐三方對照何如，不可概論。女命重夫星，要夫星顯而無剋制者貴；如夫星暗藏受制，落陷不得時者主貧賤。夫貴妻亦貴，夫賤妻亦賤，理之必然也。一女命必看身主如何，一身最要清吉，不可駁雜，金水相從太陰則吉，逢惡星則凶，又看人盤得所，不可執論，逐宮推之則可。忌三方血刃，加沓計羅照命，或在刃宮，或守照，必主血氣疾亡，大忌飛廉刃鋒交破。

One must also examine whether the husband's star is "getting the path" or "losing the path," whether there are凶杀 (malevolent killing stars) involved, and whether the four additional stars, namely 紫气 (purple qi), 月孛 (moon's hair), 罗睺 (Rahu), and 计都 (Ketu), are included. Each palace should be examined in detail, and also consider the stars in the three directions. One cannot make a general judgment. For a woman's fortune, the husband's star is most important: if the husband's star is prominent and not restrained, it indicates wealth and status; if the husband's star is hidden and restrained, or falls in a weak position and is out of season, it indicates poverty and low status. If the husband is noble, the wife will also be noble; if the husband is lowly, the wife will also be lowly. This is an inevitable truth. When examining a woman's fortune, one must certainly look at the "body ruler" (身主). The body ruler should be pure and auspicious, not mixed with other stars: if 太白 (White Tiger) and 辰星 (Morning Star) follow 太阴 (Moon), it is auspicious; if they meet malevolent stars, it is inauspicious. One should also check whether the stars on the Human Plate are in their proper places, not fixated on one aspect, but must examine each palace in detail. The most dangerous thing is having the three directions accompanied by 血刃 (blood blade) stars. If 计都 and 罗睺 overlap and shine on the命 (destiny), or if they fall in the blade palace, or if they guard the命 and shine upon it, it certainly indicates death from blood-related diseases. Especially dangerous is when 飞廉 (Flying廉) and 刃锋 (blade edge) clash and break each other.

一凡丁亥生人，以太陰為刃，主逢飛廉大凶；次看福主如何，福主失經入弱宮，必無福，入強宮得所，則生平有福。一女命在驛馬，又帶水孛照身命者，或在五弱之宮，皆主淫奔，其餘與男子同斷。一女命不宜太陽在命，或拱照命加以身強，皆主欺夫奪權，性急有男子之志。一娼妓之命，必犯桃花計孛、金孛、水孛，福德不好，夫星不陷，必剝雜，相貌好，男女宮受傷，犯惡星。計孛金水皆女人之象，又犯淫星，必主下賤為娼。

All those born in the year of Dinghai have Yangren as the "Taiyin." If they also meet "Feilian," it indicates great misfortune. Next, we should look at the main star in the Fude palace: if the Fude star is lost and falls into a weak palace, they will certainly have no fortune in their lives; if the Fude star enters a strong and prosperous palace and is in its proper position, they will enjoy fortune throughout their lives. For female命, if the main star falls on the position of the Yimai (Post-horse), and also carries the Chensheng (Water Star) and Yuebo (Moon孛) shining on the body palace and the命 palace, or if it falls into any of the five weak palaces, they are likely to be unfaithful and not follow the proper conduct of a woman. The interpretation for other female命 is the same as for male命. For female命, it is not advisable to have the Sun star sitting on the命 or the Sun star shining on the命 palace while the body palace is strong, as this indicates a tendency to dominate the husband, take control of his authority, be impetuous in temperament, and have a masculine character. The命 of a prostitute will certainly involve Taohua (Flowers), and also involve combinations of Jidu (Fei Du), Yuebo, Tai Bai, Chensheng, and Yuebo, as well as Tai Bai and Yuebo, and Chensheng and Yuebo. The Fude palace is unfavorable, the husband star is not in a bad position but is mixed and impure, the appearance is good, but the male and female palaces are injured, and there are also evil stars. Jidu, Yuebo, Tai Bai, and Chensheng are all symbols of women, and if they also involve the stars of licentiousness, they will certainly become lowly prostitutes.

一女人忌四餘星旺，皆主重婚；月孛當頭伶俐，太過剋夫害子，猶有丑聲，多淫下賤；若命坐咸池者必淫，行限遇之淫而凶；土孛淫穢，金氣無擇，水火淫而刑，火土孤孀；或男女星旺而得地，當生貴子，主有好稱呼也。咸池者即桃花殺也，乃子午卯酉沐浴之地。

For women, the overstrength of the "Four Excesses" stars is inauspicious, often leading to remarriage or bigamy. Those with the "Moon孛" star at the helm are intelligent and sharp, but if overstrong, they may harm their husbands and children, bring about scandals, and tend to be licentious and of low morals. If the命宫 (destiny palace) is located on "Xianchi," it definitely indicates licentiousness; when the行限 (life span limit) reaches "Xianchi," it is both licentious and dangerous. When the "Zhen Star" (Saturn) and "Moon孛" meet, it indicates licentiousness; when the "Tai Bai Star" (Jupiter) and "Zi Qi" meet, the person is indiscriminate in choosing a spouse; when the "Chen Star" (Water Star) and "Feng Huo" (Mars) meet, it is both licentious and brings punishment. When "Feng Huo" and "Zhen Star" meet, it indicates being alone and childless. Conversely, if the stars in the male and female palace are prosperous and strong and well-placed, they will give birth to noble children, and the mother will also gain a good reputation. The "Xianchi" refers to the "Taohua Kill," meaning the four bathing places: Zi, Wu, Mao, and You.

一財帛宮，人生受用之大端也。或福祿照財帛，日月照財帛，田財互垣，身命二主臨財及財星，又逢生旺得令得時，皆是有財之人。既有財，則可以養妻子、致名利、用奴僕。若財主失經，刑囚暗耗照財，此是無受用之人。若財帛不好，未可據言其貧，又看田宅何如。財為養命之源，人人得而喜，苟有失所，則為貧士矣。

The Wealth and Resources宫 is a crucial aspect in a person's life concerning their enjoyment of material wealth. If auspicious stars such as those in the Fortune and Virtue宫 and the Official and Merit宫 illuminate the Wealth and Resources宫, or if the stars Sun and Moon illuminate it, or if the fields of the Property and Land宫 and the Wealth and Resources宫 exchange positions, or if the body star and life star are located in the Wealth and Resources宫 and on top of the wealth star, and they are in a favorable and vigorous state, then the person is likely to be wealthy. With wealth, one can support one's wife and children, gain fame and fortune, and employ servants. Conversely, if the main star of the Wealth and Resources宫 is misplaced, and evil stars such as刑, 囚, 暗, and 耗 illuminate the Wealth and Resources宫, then the person will have no enjoyment in life. However, even if the Wealth and Resources宫 is unfavorable, one cannot immediately conclude that the person is poor; one must also examine the Property and Land宫. Wealth is the fundamental necessity for sustaining life; everyone desires it. If the wealth star is misplaced, then the person will merely be a poor and humble individual.

一兄弟之分，與吾本同一氣。果老云：命卑關健，兄弟有爭釁之風。蓋命與兄弟，須是各安其分可也，若我旺則克彼，彼怒則仇我，故果老有爭鬥之論。閒星入命者亦然。如田財官福入其宮者，主兄弟豪富；空亡、劫殺、的殺入此，主兄弟貧賤；孤寡居之，則孤鴈獨行；官符居之，必逞訟刃；雄居之，必帶疾；馬星入則兄弟東西；咸池入則酒色迷戀，又看宮主何如。吉星入兄弟宮，如唐元宗友五王，建花萼春輝樓，與五王同樂；凶星入兄弟宮，使兄弟如仇敵忿爭也。

The brothers' sector shares the same origin as my own. Zhang Guolao said that if the命宫 is weak while the brothers' sector is strong, there will be a tendency for disputes and resentment among brothers. This is because the命宫 and brothers' sector should each fulfill their proper roles. If my sector is strong, it will overpower the brothers' sector, causing them to resent me, thus leading to conflict. Therefore, Zhang Guolao spoke of brothers fighting. If miscellaneous stars enter the命宫, the same principle applies. If auspicious stars from the fields of property, wealth, official rank, and virtue enter the brothers' sector, the brothers will be wealthy. If the stars Kongwang, Jie Sha, or De Sha enter this sector, the brothers will be poor and lowly. If Guchen or Guasu occupy this sector, the brothers will be like solitary geese, each going their own way. If Guanfu occupies this sector, there will certainly be frequent lawsuits and legal troubles. If Tian Xiong occupies this sector, the brothers will surely suffer from illness. If the Yimashu star enters this sector, the brothers will be constantly moving about, separated in different directions. If Xianchi enters this sector, the brothers will become addicted to alcohol and women. In addition, one should also consider the ruler star of this sector. If auspicious stars enter the brothers' sector, it is like Emperor Xuanzong of Tang who was close to his five brothers, building the Huaye Xinghui Pavilion and enjoying leisure with the five princes. But if malevolent stars enter the brothers' sector, the brothers will quarrel and fight endlessly.

一田宅之位，人生受用之源。或田主不起，或有福祿照田宅，日月照田宅，身命主坐田宅，亦是有財帛名望之人。既有田宅，則人生受用皆由此出。又婦人田宅最緊，如刑囚暗耗坐其宮，並有惡殺加之，皆主破財，外家冷落，兄弟無情。此宮惟喜土星居之，則安穩豐腴。

The field and residence sector is the source from which a person derives their enjoyment throughout life. If the main star in the field and residence sector is not prominent, but there are auspicious stars such as fortune virtue and official honor shining upon it, or if the sun or moon is present, or if the body star and life star are seated in the field and residence sector, then the person will possess wealth and reputation. Once there is a field and residence, all the benefits a person receives in life come from this sector. For women, the field and residence sector is especially important. If stars such as punishment, captivity, darkness, and consumption are present in this sector, along with maleficent stars, it indicates the destruction of family wealth, a cold and desolate family background, and lack of affection among siblings. This sector is most favorable when the planet Saturn, the planet of restraint, is in residence. Saturn's earth nature is solid and substantial, indicating a stable family home and abundant land and property.

水宮一數，火二，木三，金四，土五。加吉星則足其數，加凶星刑剋者必孤。若主起在強實宮，各添其數；若凶星三方對照者稍輕。大概諸宮相得相生者吉，相刑相剋者凶，皆隨星論之。如水居男女宮，水數一，則以一子斷之是也，餘仿此。

The number of children is calculated based on the Five Phases' numbers: water is one, fire is two, wood is three, metal is four, and earth is five. If auspicious stars are added, the number will be fulfilled; if malevolent stars are added and there is conflict or control, there will certainly be no children. If the main stars of the male and female sectors are in strong and solid sectors, they can add several more to the original number. If malevolent stars are only remotely opposing from other sectors, the harm will be less. Generally, if the sectors are harmonious and mutually generating, it is auspicious; if they are conflicting and mutually controlling, it is inauspicious. This should be judged according to the stars that are present. For example, if the water star (Chen Xing) is in the male and female sectors, since water's number is one, it indicates one son. Other stars are judged in the same way.

一男女宮坐貴人、祿馬、長生，及有吉星照者，皆主得貴子，及孝順賢能之子；更加吉星三方對照者，子宮必好。如子坐的劫、死絕之宮，及無吉星照者，皆不得好子，並無子斷。如吉神到男女宮相生者，亦主好子；相剋者，有子亦不孝。一男女宮有火羅、計孛，及化刑囚暗耗，皆主其人多子，婦人一年一產，及老皆不得力，如雞抱鴨相似；不然乃忤逆之兒，多出在外，雖有若無。

If the male and female palace is occupied by Tianyi Nobleman, the Lu Spirit, the Post-horse, and the Growth position, and is also illuminated by auspicious stars, it indicates the birth of a noble and filial son. If auspicious stars are also coming from three directions, the palace of offspring will certainly be prosperous. If the star of offspring is seated on the position of 'the killer' or '劫杀', or falls into the dead or absolute position, and there are no auspicious stars to illuminate, one will not have a good son, and it can even be interpreted as having no sons. If auspicious deities come to the male and female palace and harmonize with the palace ruler, it indicates the birth of a good son. If the coming stars are those that control, although there may be sons, they will not be filial. If the male and female palace contains the 'Flame of Mars' star, as well as 'Luohou', 'Jidu', and 'Yuebo', and the transformed stars of 'Crime', 'Imprisonment', 'Darkness', and 'Consumption', it indicates that the person will have many children, and the wife may give birth to a child almost every year. However, when old, none of them can be relied upon, like a hen hatching ducks, raising them up but not being close to them. Alternatively, it may indicate rebellious sons, who are mostly living away from home, so although they exist, they are as if they do not.

一夜生太陽獨照男女宮，無星輔之，皆主無子；有星輔之，反有子。日生太陰獨見男女宮，亦然，以其孤陽不生、孤陰不成故也。猶有主星飛在強弱，宮分輕重論之：如主星飛在強實位，只主損頭胎，終還有子，先女後男之類；如主星落陷弱之地，則主多生多克。如白虎、六害、華蓋臨之流年，旬中又空，則可知其無子矣。孤陰孤陽者，猶男子之無妻、女人之無夫，曠夫寡女安得而有子乎？必得陰陽相合，男女交媾，方有子息而後可。

Those born at night, if the "Sun" shines alone in the male and female palace without any other stars to assist, will have no children; if there are stars to assist, they will have children. Those born during the day, if the "Moon" appears alone in the male and female palace, the principle is the same. This is because isolated yang cannot produce offspring and isolated yin cannot form a fetus. In addition, one should also consider whether the main star is in a strong or weak palace, and judge according to the weight of the palace: if the main star is in a strong and solid position, it only indicates damage to the first child, but eventually there will be sons, or perhaps first a daughter then a son; if the main star is in a weak and declining position, it indicates many children but also many losses. If further encountering "White Tiger," "Six Harm," and "Huagai" in the flowing year, and also encountering kongwang in this ten-day period, then it can be determined that there will be no children. What is called isolated yin and isolated yang is like a man without a wife or a woman without a husband; how can a widower or a widow have children? It is only when yin and yang combine and male and female unite that children can be born.

一如男女主男女宮，暫為流旬所空，只是此十年無子，過旬又許生子，不可執一。如男女主是我命之殺，又在陽刃、的殺、六害、白虎之宮，則多生不肖之兒；如在天月二德、殿駕、貴人、祿馬、官福、田財之宮，與恩星同守，或男女主是恩星者，生子多得力也。旬空者，乃流年空亡也，凡值此者有十年空虛也，蓋一旬乃十年。

If the main star in the male or female house is located in the male or female house but is temporarily occupied by the flowing旬's Kongwang, it simply means there will be no son during this decade. After this旬, it is still possible to have a son, so one should not be too rigid in this matter. If the main star in the male or female house is exactly a killing star that harms one's destiny, and it is located in the palace of Yang Blade, killing, six harms, or White Tiger, then it is likely to have many sons who are not well-disciplined. If it is located in the palace of Heavenly Virtue, Monthly Virtue, or the palaces of Hall, Tianyi Nobleman, Lu Spirit, Post-horse, official position, fortune virtue, land and house, and wealth, and is shared with the Enstar, or if the main star in the male or female house itself is the Enstar, then the sons born are likely to be helpful. The term '旬空' refers to the Kongwang in the flowing year. Whenever it is encountered, there will be a period of ten years of emptiness, because one旬 is exactly ten years.

一身坐奴僕，有吉有凶。多有身命主入奴僕而貴者，亦有身命主入奴僕而賤者，何也？如奴宮原是祿馬、貴人、長生、帝旺、殿駕崇勳之地，皆不可以奴僕論，為奴出身；如原是的殺、劫殺、陽刃、亡神、飛廉、死絕敗之地，而身命又陷其上，此是奔波工役無成之人，方以奴僕言之。

The body palace sits in the servant palace, which can be both auspicious and inauspicious. It is common to see the body ruler and life ruler falling into the servant palace yet still showing prosperity, while in other cases, the body ruler and life ruler falling into the servant palace leads to low status. Why is this so? It depends on the original position of the servant palace: if the servant palace itself is in a noble and honorable position such as the Lu Spirit, the Post-horse, the Tianyi Nobleman, Growth, Prosperity, or the Hall of Majesty, it should not be considered as a servant palace, nor should the person be regarded as coming from a servant background. However, if the servant palace is originally in a declining position such as 'kill', 'robbery kill', 'Yang Blade', 'Wangshen', 'Fei Lian', or the dead, absolute decline, and failure, and the body palace and life palace are located within these, then the person is one who toils endlessly without success, and at this time, the servant palace can be considered as such.

一奴宮不獨轄人貴賤勞逸，亦主僕馬侍從。本星坐於強旺之地，更加吉星生之，必主奴僕豐盛；若主星弱、奴星強，反被奴欺，故果老云：主弱奴強，奴婢有侵凌之患。大抵以身命高強為上也。如驛馬在奴僕宮，多主逃走，或離遠鄉而不回也。

The Slave and Servant Palace not only governs the status, diligence, and ease of subordinates but also oversees the number of servants, attendants, and vehicles. If the main star in this palace is strong and supported by auspicious stars, it indicates many servants who are efficient and reliable. However, if the main star is weak while the servant star is strong, the owner may be oppressed by subordinates, as Zhang Guolao said: "When the master is weak and the servant is strong, servants may cause harm to the master." Generally, the strength of the body palace and the native palace is most important. If theThe Post-horse star falls into the Slave and Servant Palace, it often indicates servants running away or disappearing, or leaving the homeland and not returning.

一妻宮是祿貴、長生、帝旺之地，皆主好妻美貌多能；如是死絕、的殺、劫殺之宮，皆不得好妻，更會孤寡惡宿，必主無妻。術家云：鼓盆星，五行絕處是也。會喪吊二符、計都，必克妻。如妻主是殺星，坐強實殿駕，或守財帛田宅，主妻多做大模樣，欺凌夫主也。

If the wife's宫 is in the position of the Lu Spirit, Nobleman, Growth, or Prosperity, it indicates marrying a good wife who is beautiful and capable. If the wife's宫 is in a dead or dying position, or in the 'of killing' or '劫 killing'宫, it indicates not being able to marry a good wife, and if it also joins the 'Guchen' and 'Gusu' evil stars, it definitely means having no wife at all. There is a saying among diviners called 'the drumming of the coffin star', which refers to the absolute position in the Five Phases. This is derived from Zhuangzi who sang while his wife's coffin was being drummed, so it is used as a symbol for the death of a wife. If it joins the 'Mourning-and-Condolence' and 'Funeral Guest' symbols as well as 'Ji Du', it definitely causes the death of the wife. If the main star in the wife's宫 itself is a killing star, and it is seated in a strong and solid position or a palace position, or if it guards the wealth and property宫 and the land and house宫, it indicates that the wife will be arrogant and will oppress the husband.

如以金為妻，若得其正位，必主妻有姿色而賢；若有水孛相侵，則不然。如妻宮主落陷居空弱地，有的殺、六害、白虎加其宮分，及臨其主所守之地者，必多克害。如妻星化值難，值咸池、的殺同宮，必多產厄而亡。如妻星是太陽，或入未，或在午，或入兄弟，多主因親致富，姨兄弟為之。

If the star Tai Bai (the planet Venus) is considered the wife star, and Venus is in its proper position, it indicates that the wife is both beautiful and wise. However, if the star Chen Xing (the planet Mercury) and Yue Bo (a celestial body) interfere, this is not the case. If the main star of the wife's house is in a fallen position, located in Kongwang (a weak position), and there are the stars De Sha, Liu Hai, and Bai Hu (White Tiger) added to this house, or if they are in the position guarded by the main star of the wife's house, it will certainly lead to many harms to the wife. If the wife star is transformed into Zhi Nan (a difficult star), and it is in the same house as Xianchi and De Sha, the wife is likely to die from complications during childbirth. If the wife star is the Sun, or if it falls into the Wei house, the Wu house, or the Brother house, it often indicates becoming wealthy through relatives, usually through connections with maternal or paternal cousins.

或妻星單在華蓋及陽刃，我命坐白虎，則多與妻不和、隔角之類。如妻星落陷，又得金氣有力，必有小妻諧老。又如妻星坐咸池，與兄弟主、奴僕主同宮，又有的殺、驛馬夾之者，則主其妻與外人及奴僕通情者極驗，不可不察。

If the wife star is alone and located on 'Huagai' or 'Yang Blade', and my natal chart's命宫 is occupied by 'White Tiger', it is likely that the couple will often have conflicts and disagreements. If the wife star, although in a weak position, is supported by 'Tai Bai' and 'Zi Qi' stars with strength, there will certainly be a secondary wife who can live with him until old age. For example, if the wife star is located on 'Xianchi', and at the same time shares the same palace with the main star of the brothers' palace and the main star of the servants' palace, and is flanked by 'De Sha' and 'Yi Ma' stars on both sides, it indicates that his wife will have affairs with outsiders and household servants. This prediction is very accurate and should not be overlooked.

八殺之宮，非特主人疾厄，亦主人一生操權。若權星、印星、祿星、福星居之，皆主其人有重權。身命入八殺，得令得時，諸星扶之，貴格也。經云：身命登八殺，科名須早發；八殺入命來，災殃那可脫。八殺者，疾厄宮之主星也，其星主有權衡，掌邊鄙之能也，不可混作凶星而推。

The Eighth House 「Eight Killings」 does not only govern an individual's diseases and misfortunes, but also indicates whether they can hold power throughout their life. If the stars of authority, seal, fortune, and blessings are located in this house, it signifies that the person holds great power. If the body house and destiny house fall into the Eight Killings house and are in a favorable position and timely, with many stars supporting them, it is considered a noble destiny. The classic text says: if the body and destiny houses are in the Eight Killings house, academic success and official rank will certainly come early in life; however, if the Eight Killings enters the destiny, misfortunes are difficult to avoid. The so-called 「Eight Killings」 refers to the main star of the illness and misfortune house. This star governs the exercise of power and punishment, possessing the ability to guard the borders. It should not be generally regarded as a malevolent star.

一看疾厄，先看命度身度受克否，又起處坐殺與不坐殺，更看疾厄宮有何星坐其上。如有火羅、計孛、刑囚暗耗諸凶並會其上者，皆主重疾；如無星而三方對照有凶星者，主帶疾。一身命居八殺，刃雄相併，或殺星照臨，主重疾；八殺主守照得所，主貴。土計羅帶天雄陽刃，夜生與月同躔，必主破相。

When examining the Health and Illness Palace, first check whether the Destiny Degree and Body Degree are afflicted. Then look at whether the starting point of the palace is occupied by a killing star. Next, observe which stars are sitting on the Health and Illness Palace. If凶曜 such as 'Flame Star' (荧惑), 'RuoHou', 'JiDu', 'YueBo', and the ominous terms 'Xing', 'Qiu', 'An', 'Hao' are all gathered here, it indicates serious illness. If there are no stars in the palace itself, but the three surrounding palaces are occupied by凶星, it suggests the person has a chronic illness. If the Body Palace and Destiny Palace fall into the eight killing palaces, and 'Yang Blade' (阳刃) and 'TianXiong' are together, or if killing stars are shining upon it, it indicates serious illness. However, if the main star of the eight killing palaces is properly positioned and supported, it may instead indicate high status and prestige. If 'ZhenXing' (土星), 'JiDu', 'RuoHou' are accompanied by 'TianXiong' and 'Yang Blade', and the person was born at night with 'TaiYin' in the same degree, it definitely indicates a physical deformity.

一遷移主星守命，主遷居，或加殺，限危重則徒流，輕則遠行也。一遊行在驛馬，主人過房出祖，坐長生馬者有四方之志。一遊行遇吉星，則出入見貴扶持；會惡殺及浮沉水孛，主飄蕩而亡歸也。一天馬、地驛星會，多動也；或主星在馬宮，或小限入遷移，皆主有動也，此訣最善，不可輕洩。凡看遷移，必以馬星為主，若用馬必用鞍，無鞍不可騎；有馬必用攔，無攔則不止，乃為流馬也。如寅午戌馬居申，以未為鞍，以酉為攔，方為有用，此是一秘訣，世人無傳。

When the main star of the Migration Palace is in the native's Destiny Palace, it indicates that the person will move. If there are also malevolent stars involved, those with serious afflictions may be exiled or sent to military service, while those with lighter afflictions may only travel far away. If the wandering star falls in the Post-horse Palace, it indicates that the person may be adopted by another family or leave their ancestral property. If the Post-horse is in the Longevity position, it suggests that the person has ambitions to go far. If the wandering star meets auspicious stars, the person will meet noblemen when traveling and receive support everywhere. However, if it meets evil stars, as well as the unstable 'Chen Star' (Saturn) and 'Yue Bo' (Moon孛), it indicates a life of wandering and dying away from home without returning. When the Heavenly Horse and Earthly Post-horse stars meet, it indicates a life of constant movement. If the main star is in the Post-horse Palace or the small limit enters the Migration Palace, it also indicates movement. This formula is very important and should not be easily revealed. When examining the Migration Palace, the Horse Star must be the main focus. Using a horse requires a saddle, and without a saddle, it cannot be ridden. Having a horse requires a stable, and without a stable, it cannot be kept, becoming a wild horse that runs anywhere. For example, if the Post-horse in the years of Yin-Wu-Xu is in Shen, then Wei is the saddle and You is the stable, which makes it effective. This is a secret technique that has not been passed down to the world.

一官祿宮不宜財星生旺守照，及犯天雄陽刃諸殺，主人貪財壞名；亦不宜官星克命。經云：官祿克命，以名立身，以名敗身。更不宜十宮逢羅，主人粗豪健訟。官星只宜文魁、印星、祿神守照，則為純粹。一官祿不要殺星克其宮，名曰官鬼。如官祿在亥，卻不宜金星入，亦不宜三合四正宮值之，皆主其人健訟；不然遭官破家，亦主無官食祿之分，諸宮皆仿此。

The official and fortune宫 should not have wealth stars that are strong and present, nor should they be afflicted by the "Tian Xiong" or "Yang Blade" and other harmful stars, otherwise it indicates that the person is greedy for wealth and will damage their reputation. Similarly, the official star should not reverse and harm the native's命宫. The classic text says: if the official star harms the native's命宫, the person may achieve status through reputation, but will eventually lose it due to the reputation. It is also not suitable for the tenth宫 to be occupied by the "Luo Hou" star, which indicates a person with a rough and bold nature, prone to legal disputes. The official star should only be accompanied by the Wen Kui star, the印星, and the Lu Spirit, which would be considered pure. The official and fortune宫 should not be harmed by harmful stars, which is called "official ghost." For example, if the official and fortune宫 is in the亥 position, it is not suitable for the Tai Bai metal star to enter, nor should the triple harmony宫 or the four cardinal directions宫 have metal stars, which indicate a tendency to involve in lawsuits; otherwise, the person will face legal troubles and lose their family fortune. The same principle applies to other宫 positions.

一須先看福德宮為要。福德、官祿二宮最喜吉星臨照，若見福居福、祿居祿，身命主入官福，日月照官福，水日金月各居官福，皆是有福之人。如福祿二宮無星守照，或三方四正有吉星暗加其上者，亦吉。未有此二宮無吉星照臨者是為富貴之人。凡看福德、田宅、財帛三者為重，若俱無吉星，不可以為吉，只是庸常命斷之。福德一宮，人生賴之以安榮，苟有凶星雜之，以害人之福氣，則一生衣祿已矣乎。

When judging a person's destiny, the most important is the Fortune Virtue宫. The Fortune Virtue and Officialdom宫 are most favored when they are illuminated by auspicious stars: the Star of Good Fortune is exactly in the Fortune Virtue宫, the Star of Officialdom is exactly in the Officialdom宫, the body and life ruler enter the Officialdom and Fortune Virtue宫, the Sun and Moon stars illuminate the Officialdom and Fortune Virtue宫, or the Star of Water (Chen Xing) is in the Officialdom or Fortune Virtue宫, and the Sun, Metal Star (Tai Bai), and Moon star are respectively in the Officialdom and Fortune Virtue宫. These are signs of a person with great fortune. If the Fortune Virtue and Officialdom宫 have no stars governing or illuminating them, but there are auspicious stars in the three directions and four cardinal points that quietly illuminate them, it is still considered auspicious. There has never been a person who is both wealthy and noble without auspicious stars in the Fortune Virtue and Officialdom宫. In judging a person's destiny, the Fortune Virtue, House, and Wealth宫 are most important; if none of these three宫 have auspicious stars, it cannot be considered auspicious, and the person should be judged as an ordinary, unremarkable fate. The Fortune Virtue宫 is the place where a person relies on for stability and honor throughout their life; if malevolent stars are mixed in, damaging one's fortune, then one's clothing, food, and official position will be limited to this point.

金星獨行，相貌清秀溫潤；木星瘦長清爽；水星眼目俊麗；火星日生則面紫黑，夜生則紅白；土星肥白長大，夜生矮黑；孛星額角骨露，日生長大好顏色，夜生額角露而細小；羅?頭角闊大，骨格粗多須；計長面骨粗露，夜則身小眼露；氣星好相貌多須；太陰溫潤白，夜黑小；太陽日黑色赤，夜生清白爽氣。

The planet Tai Bai (Venus) governs appearance, and those born under its influence have clear, refined, and smooth features. The planet Sui Xing (Jupiter) governs appearance, and those born under its influence have slender and refreshing figures. The planet Chen Xing (Saturn) governs appearance, and those born under its influence have handsome and bright eyes. The planet Ying Huo (Mars) governs appearance, and those born during the day have a purple-black complexion, while those born at night have a red-white complexion. The planet Zhen Xing (Saturn) governs appearance, and those born under its influence are plump, white, and tall, while those born at night are short, dark, and thin. The planet Yue Bo governs appearance, and those born under its influence have prominent forehead bones; those born during the day are tall and have good complexion, while those born at night have prominent forehead bones but are thin. The planet Luo Hou governs appearance, and those born under its influence have broad and open foreheads, strong bones, and abundant beards. The planet Ji Du governs appearance, and those born under its influence have long faces and prominent facial bones; those born at night are short, with protruding eyes. The planet Zi Qi governs appearance, and those born under its influence have good looks and abundant beards. The planet Tai Yin governs appearance, and those born under its influence have smooth, warm, and fair skin; those born at night are dark and thin. The planet Tai Yang governs appearance, and those born during the day have a dark red complexion, while those born at night have a clear and bright complexion with a bright spirit.

凡看相貌，如命裡有星，須看先入者斷之；若命與相貌皆有星，亦依例斷之，及三合對照推之。主星起會刑囚暗耗，主破相暗疾，不然錭花刺紋之輩。且相貌之宮，乃人性情之所鍾，善惡之鄉也。吉星臨照，則為人君子；若殺星來據，更與福德陽刃同會，必寡情薄德、不仁不義之徒也。金命主人直方平而正，遇土則肥大，主有義；本命主人昂藏瘦而挺直而長，多有仁心；水命主人形起而浮潤，眉粗眼大而多智也；火命主人上尖下闊，性急而好禮；土命為人肥大敦厚，有信而不失。

When examining the appearance of the face, if there are stars in the命宫 (life palace), one should look at which star enters first and judge based on that star. If both the命宫 and the face palace have stars, the same principle applies, and then one should refer to the triple harmony palace for further analysis. If the main star in the face palace is involved in '刑' (punishment), '囚' (imprisonment), '暗' (darkness), or '耗' (loss), it indicates a broken face or hidden illness in the body, or someone who has tattoos or scars. Moreover, the face palace is the place where a person's nature gathers and where good and evil originate. If auspicious stars are present, the person is considered a gentleman. If malevolent stars occupy the palace and also conjoin the 'Yang Blade' in the virtue and fortune palace, the person is certainly unfeeling and unvirtuous. Those with the metal element as their destiny have a square and upright body, and if they meet the earth element, they tend to be fat and robust, valuing righteousness. Those with the wood element as their destiny have a tall and slender body, straight and long, often showing compassion. Those with the water element as their destiny have a lively body and smooth skin, thick eyebrows, and large eyes, often being intelligent and strategic. Those with the fire element as their destiny have a narrow upper part and a broad lower part, being quick-tempered yet respectful. Those with the earth element as their destiny are fat and solid, trustworthy, and keep their promises.

蓋人生處世，以福德為最，有福則立妻子，立名利，致富貴，福德既虧，前數者未見其為福也。若福德宮無星，更看三方對照，有吉星照福德者，皆為有福之人，為人性必端厚，量必寬洪，心必仁慈，氣必溫柔有壽。考之人，是可以定人之性情，每試累驗。若有刑囚暗耗諸殺居福者，必是刻薄兇狠、大寬小急、心多好殺、不仁不義、言不忠信、詭譎詐欺、奸謀機巧之人，未見其為福也。

A person's life depends first on fortune and virtue. Those with fortune can marry, have children, achieve fame and fortune, and attract wealth and honor. If fortune and virtue are lacking, all the aforementioned things become impossible. If there are no stars in the fortune and virtue palace, then look at the three surrounding areas. Those who have auspicious stars shining upon the fortune and virtue palace are people with fortune. Their character is certainly upright and virtuous, their capacity is certainly broad-minded, their heart is certainly kind, and their temperament is certainly gentle, leading to a long life. Using this to examine people, one can determine their character, and it has been repeatedly verified. If the stars of punishment, captivity, darkness, and loss occupy the fortune and virtue palace, then the person is certainly cruel and fierce, lenient in major matters but impetuous in minor ones, fond of killing, unkind and unrighteous, speaks without loyalty and trustworthiness, acts cunning and deceitful, and relies solely on cunning and trickery. Such people cannot be considered as having fortune.

餘在江湖二十餘年，遍求談命之士，甚多技藝須廣，卻無實學。雖果老一書，諸篇精詳甚明，予詢試驗之，內有數條不准：天雄遇官星，祿宮及月孛同躔，前後不驗。今將有準斷條並彷佛格局凡例，續附於左。鄭希誠者，豈非虛中、袁李琴堂苟判僧之下乎？上達天文精星象，以人稟二五之精血而生，亦猶天地之稟陰陽而生人民也。以五星定五常，以五臟而應五星，以求人之禍福疾病也。故天命與人命相關，非小數也。

I have been wandering in the world of the江湖 for more than twenty years, consulting many fortune-tellers who claim to know the art of divination. Though their skills cover a wide range, none of them possess real expertise. Even this book by Guo Lao is well explained in each section, but when I tested each item against reality, several of them proved inaccurate. For example, the statement that "Tian Xiong" meets the official star and the禄宫 is in conjunction with "Yue Bo" does not hold true either before or after. Now I have appended below the items that I can confirm accurately, along with the general rules and patterns that are somewhat similar. Could someone like Zheng Xicheng be content to be ranked below Li Xuzhong and the families of Yuan, Li, and Qin Tang, as well as the Buddhist judges? The reason for understanding astronomy and mastering the principles of star patterns is that human beings are born from the vital essence of yin and yang and the Five Phases, just as the heavens and earth produce countless people by receiving the qi of yin and yang. Therefore, the five stars correspond to the five constants, and the five internal organs correspond to the five stars, allowing us to deduce human misfortunes and diseases. This shows that the destiny of the heavens and the life and death of human beings are closely connected, and this is not a minor art of divination.

一排命先求星曆，端正太陰晨昏起度不差，若差之毫釐，謬以千里。取三方對照，生克帶貴殺若何，夜生重身度主，要緊觀命局面，在乎通變。假如四火為命，或失經於水，得木氣為援吉；若水孛又高於木氣，展轉相生亦可取用。飛廉守照，遇星制伏，不為害。諸星沉退，一星滿用，大貴。

To cast a birth chart, one must first determine the exact position of the Moon in the zodiac at the time of birth, ensuring it is precisely aligned without any error; even a slight deviation can lead to significant mistakes in interpretation. Then, one examines the three aspects of the chart to determine the relationships of generation and overcoming, as well as whether the stars are auspicious or malevolent. For those born at night, the main star governing the body degree is particularly emphasized. The most important aspect is to view the entire chart as a whole, valuing flexibility and adaptability. For example, if fire is the main ruler and occupies four positions, but is overcome by water and thus weakens, the presence of the Jupiter star (岁星) and the Purple Qi star (紫气) can turn the situation favorable. However, if the Water star (辰星) and the Moon孛 star (月孛) are stronger than Jupiter and Purple Qi, they can still be utilized through a cycle of mutual generation. Although the star Fei Lian (飞廉) may guard the命宫, it will not cause harm if it is subdued by other stars. Even when all stars are hidden and retreating, as long as one star is fully functional and usable, it can still indicate great fortune.

一看命度帶殺，限度重並，遇生星即死。假如庚戌八月生人，安命室火，木為劫殺，土為浮沉，火為劍鋒飛廉，三十二歲行斗木，水中死。一官福星宜守照身命，若化祿魁、天地人元，大吉。一恩星隨身為富格。假如坐命四土，火為恩，與月同行，又是夜生，得令得時，更遇生旺，諸吉扶之，為一二三品之貴。

When a person's destiny is accompanied by harmful stars, and the star positions during their life span overlap with these harmful stars, they are likely to die when the star that supports and generates the harmful star appears. For example, someone born in the year of Gengxu in the eighth lunar month has their命宫 (destiny palace) located in the fire host of the room. The "Jue Sha" (劫杀) is the wooden star, the "Zhen Xing" (镇星) is the earth star, and the "Ying Huo" (荧惑) is the fire star, representing sword edge and Fei Lian. When they reach the age of thirty-two and their life span reaches the host of the bucket, they may die by drowning. Officials stars and fortune stars should be in the same palace as the body palace and destiny palace. If they further transform into the禄星 (lucky star) and the魁星 (chief star), and the heavenly origin, earthly origin, and human origin all arrive, it is very auspicious. If the恩星 (favorable star) follows the body palace, it indicates wealth. For example, if the four positions of the earth occupy the seat of the destiny, and the "Ying Huo" (荧惑) fire star is the恩星 (favorable star), and it is accompanied by the "Tai Yin" (moon star), and the person was born at night, with the star in its season and time, and further meets a place of growth and strength, with many auspicious stars supporting, they will be a high-ranking official of first, second, or third rank.

一飛廉守命主夭，須看格局，格局高強有援有救，水命不為忌。如丙子正月生，命泊尾度，孛守照，土在命為援。又如室火安命正月，水為飛廉守照，若值太陽或木土同宮反吉；若坐的殺、劫刃，行弱限必凶，格高不忌。

"Fei Lian" guarding the destiny, indicates a short lifespan, but it also depends on the overall structure: if the structure is strong and there are stars supporting or rescuing, then when water is the destiny ruler, there is no need to avoid it. For example, someone born in the year Bingzi in the first lunar month, with the destiny palace located in the Tail Mansion, and "Yue Bo" guarding and illuminating, with "Zhen Xing" (Saturn) in the destiny palace as support. Another example is someone born in the first lunar month with the destiny in the Room Fire Mansion, where "Chen Xing" (Water Star) serves as "Fei Lian" and guards, if it meets "Tai Yang" (Sun), or is in the same palace as "Su Xing" (Jupiter) or "Zhen Xing" (Saturn), it becomes favorable; but if it is seated on "De Sha", "Jie Sha", or "Yang Ren", and encounters a weak period, it will certainly be dangerous. Those with strong structures do not need to avoid it.

一八殺朝天，或守照得所，皆貴人。假如戌亥安命，金火獨守照，得令得時為上。又如泊命柳土度，及翼亢泊命者，金火土兼為八殺，主獨去占天門，得所為貴。殺至天門，乃至尊之位，雖有惡行而化為善人。一命在刃，不宜金守照，加火羅愈惡，壽不延長，木命人不得其死，逢空稍輕。

When the eight killing stars face the heavenly gate or guard and illuminate their respective positions, they indicate the presence of a nobleman. For example, if the命宫 is located in the Xu or Hai palace, and the 'Tai Bai' star (metal) and 'Feng Huo' star (fire) alone guard and illuminate, and they are in season and timely, this is considered an excellent case. Another example is when the命宫 is located in the Willow Earth mansion or when the命宫 is placed in the Wing mansion or the Neck mansion, and the metal, fire, and earth all serve as the eight killing stars. These stars independently occupy the heavenly gate, and if they are in proper positions, they indicate nobility. When the killing stars reach the heavenly gate, it is the supreme position. Even if their nature is fierce and evil, they will transform into goodness. If the命宫 is located on the Yang Ren (sheep's blade), it is not suitable for the 'Tai Bai' star to guard and illuminate. If the 'Feng Huo' star and 'Luo Hui' star are added, it becomes even more dangerous, leading to a short lifespan. Those whose destiny is governed by wood will not have a good end. If they encounter Kong Wang (void), the harm will be slightly less.

一流刃並天雄遇木氣，為殺最重。坐命四土，或四月度者，或原月與木氣同躔，行限值刃有災，家口不寧。限雖不遇太陰，逐月行宮遇此刃氣，決主刑杖或墜之災。丙辰刃氣在張，行限見之多災，流行太陰遇之同日，受杖八十。予命在女，氣月同度在亥，丙辰年壬辰月戊寅日，太陰值流，氣木在角度，小限並刃值月官符，大限在氐值病符，原氣三方切照氐八度，忽高樓跌下，半月不知人事。

The heavenly stem and earthly branch of the current year are both influenced by Yangren and Tianxiong, and when combined with the planetary ruler of wood, the Purple Qi, this is the most severe type of malefic influence. If the person's natal position is occupied by earth in four directions, or if the person's natal position is determined by the four month mansions, or if the person's natal Taiyin is in the same degree as wood and Purple Qi, and during the current limit period the Yangren is also encountered, then there will be misfortune and family unrest. Such a limit period, even without encountering Taiyin, will result in punishment by beating or falling from height if the monthly palace encounters this cutting energy. In the Bingchen year, the Yangren energy falls in Zhang mansion, and encountering it during the limit period brings many misfortunes. If the current Taiyin also coincides with it on the same day, the person will receive eighty strokes of the cane. My natal mansion is in Nu mansion, and Purple Qi and Taiyin are in the same degree in the Hai mansion. On the day of Wu Yin, Ren Chen month, Bing Chen day, the Taiyin is in the current year, Purple Qi and the planetary ruler of wood are in Jiao mansion, the small limit period is connected with Yangren and the monthly mansion and Guanfu, the great limit period is in Di mansion and encounters Bingfu, and the natal Purple Qi shines from three directions to the eighth degree of Di mansion. On that day, I suddenly fell from a high building and was unconscious for half a month.

此要原守星與流年星度、限度參詳有準。一月殺飛廉最要看。假如我命八月，月殺在亥，太歲值亥，木嫌，氣月同躔室度，所喜氣生身度，火與彼有情，作事盡有方略，未免亦有險撞。一看命不拘晝夜，須看太陰落在何宮何度，有無拱夾，吉凶與命相參取用；又看本生日干化曜，金木水火土加在月上，與別曜有無剋制。假如我命甲子日干，甲己化土，太陰即屬土，不宜月氣同躔，主有疾氣；為財福，又日生，人稍輕。行四月度，主脾胃疾氣；若帶殺，瘧疾經年不愈，脫限外方可。

This requires combining the original guardian star of one's destiny with the stars and limits of the current year to make an accurate judgment. The moon's killer and the star 'Fei Lian' are especially important to consider. For example, if my destiny is in the eighth month, the moon's killer is at Hai, and the year's master is also at Hai, the 'Sui Xing' (Jupiter) in wood is considered an inauspicious factor. The 'Zi Qi' (Purple Qi) and 'Tai Yin' (Moon) are at the Encampment mansion; fortunately, 'Zi Qi' can nourish my destiny, and 'Feng Huo' (Mars) is in harmony with it, so I can act with strategy. However, I may still encounter a few dangerous incidents. When judging a destiny, one should not be confined to day or night, but must consider where 'Tai Yin' is located in the palace and degree, whether there are stars that support or flank it, and combine these with the fortune of the destiny palace. Also, one must examine the stars generated by the day stem of one's birth, and whether the elements of metal, wood, water, fire, and earth are in harmony or in conflict with 'Tai Yin'. For instance, if my destiny is on the Jia Zi day stem, Jia combines with Ji to form earth, so 'Tai Yin' belongs to earth. It is not advisable for 'Tai Yin' and 'Zi Qi' to be at the same degree, which may indicate illness. However, 'Zi Qi' also serves as a fortune star and wealth star, and since I was born in the daytime, the harm is somewhat less. When the limit reaches four months' mansion, it indicates illness in the spleen and stomach; if it is accompanied by a killer star, it may result in a long-term malaria that can only be cured after leaving this limit.

一看命度帶殺與不帶殺，起在何宮度，有無相戰，方論吉凶。假如金為命度，又是飛廉羊刃等殺，或與火羅沖戰，或與太陰同道，決主重疾；若帶孤劫刃，亦主孤乏；若帶殺升殿入垣，更三元會此，皆是顯達上格。命度帶殺重者主殘疾，逢克戰主夭。

When analyzing a person's destiny, one must first determine whether it involves harmful influences or not, and identify which palace and degree it falls in, as well as whether it conflicts with other stars. Only then can one assess whether the outcome is favorable or unfavorable. For example, if the star 'Tai Bai' (the planet of metal) is the destiny degree, and it also functions as 'Fei Lian' (a harmful influence) or 'Yang Ren' (a sharp star), or if it conflicts with 'Ying Huo' (the planet of fire) or 'Luo Hou' (a harmful influence), or if it shares the same path with 'Tai Yin' (the moon), it indicates a serious illness. If it carries 'Guchen' (a lonely star), 'Jie Sha' (a sudden danger), and 'Yang Ren', it suggests loneliness and hardship. However, if harmful influences are present but they are in a favorable position, and if the heavenly, earthly, and human elements all converge here, then it indicates a high and prosperous destiny. If the destiny degree carries too many harmful influences, it may lead to physical disabilities; if further conflicts occur, it may result in an early death.

一八殺宮刃雄並，或身命主星坐臨此宮，或殺星臨照，皆主重疾；八殺主守照得所，主權貴。一八字中諸劫刃並在年時上主疾，否則夭；若諸吉貴祿、注受、斗杓、符印在年日時上，大吉貴。如甲辰、甲子、甲申九月十一月，注受祿馬生旺在寅，寅時最好。一命坐刃鋒逢空，加福官國印得力，貴格。

In the palace of eight killing stars, if the Yang Blade and Tian Xiong are both present, or if the body star and life star are seated in this palace, or if a killing star is shining upon it, it indicates serious illness. However, if the main star of the eight killing palace is properly positioned and supported, it instead indicates power and high status. In a birth chart, if various types of killing stars and Yang Blades are all concentrated in the year pillar and hour pillar, it indicates illness, otherwise it suggests early death. Conversely, if many auspicious stars such as Tianyi Nobleman, the Lu Spirit, Zhu Shou, Dou Biao, Fu Yin are present in the year, day, and hour pillars, it is extremely auspicious and indicates great fortune. For example, those born on the third day of Jia Chen, Jia Zi, or Jia Shen in September or November, with Zhu Shou and禄马 thriving in the寅 position, the best time is during the寅 hour. If the命宫 is seated on the Yang Blade and encounters Kongwang, and is further supported by the Fu Star, Official Star, and National Seal Star, as long as these stars are effective, it still constitutes a noble destiny.

一天元星最要緊，或守命得令相資，或是身命主聰明，加生旺貴祿為奇。天元者，如甲天元屬木，而木星守命，或命度純木尤奇。一同年月日時之命，出處不同，何也？想太陰交宮過度，有淺深先後，以八刻之分。假如前四刻，月在心五度，論太陰行事；後四刻到尾初，論火取用，故有不同。

The most important factor is the heavenly stem. If it guards the destiny and is in its own season, or if it is assisted by other stars, or if it itself is the master of the body and destiny, making a person intelligent; further adding a prosperous and flourishing place along with noblemen and the Lu spirit, it becomes an extraordinary pattern. The term "heavenly stem" refers to, for example, the heavenly stem of Jia which belongs to wood. If the star of the year, the wooden star, guards the destiny, it is harmonious. If the destiny is entirely in the mansion of wood, it is especially remarkable. People born in the same year, month, day, and hour may have very different fates. Why is this? It is because when the "dark moon" crosses the palace, there is a difference in depth and order, distinguishing high and low within eight moments. For example, in the first four moments, the "dark moon" is at the fifth degree of the Heart mansion, so we should discuss matters according to the movement of the "dark moon." In the last four moments, it has already reached the beginning of the Tail mansion, so we should use the "Flame Star" of Mars for calculation. Therefore, although the destiny is the same, people differ.

夜生人乃身度主為要，因往推來可驗，此在時分八刻之論，一有先後次第、度數交行之上見之。一三元最宜照官祿，若安命在奎婁，更天元星得令得地會官福，必中進士狀元。一身命坐空，怕刃對照主夭，行限見凶星難過；坐命對生時，又遇殺守照亦夭。命既坐空，已險危矣，安受殺難沖照，死亡必矣，又何以福壽乎？

Those born at night should focus on the main star determined by their body degree, using past predictions to foresee the future, which is accurate upon verification. The reason lies in the careful consideration of the eight divisions of the hour: the distinction between the order of precedence is evident in the places where degrees intersect. The three origins—Heavenly Origin, Earthly Origin, and Human Origin—should ideally illuminate the officialdom and fortune virtue sectors. If the destiny is located in the Legs mansion or Bond mansion, and the Heavenly Origin star is both in command and in a favorable position, combining with the officialdom and fortune virtue sectors, it is certain to pass the imperial examination and even become a top scholar. If the destiny palace is located in the Kongwang position, it is most dangerous when the Yangren star shines from the opposite palace, leading to an early death. If during the limit period, malevolent stars appear, it is difficult to overcome. If the destiny position directly faces the birth time and is guarded by a killing star, it also leads to an early death. Since the destiny is already in Kongwang, which is inherently dangerous, how can it withstand the impact of a killing star? It is certain to die, and what talk of longevity and happiness?

一四金泊命，主起殺宮，蓋殺氣太重，命不長久；若福祿身好發用，只宜引陽貴。大抵看命，要分寒暑，大寒不可背太陽火羅，近水月孛不利，大熱反是。一縊死必犯闌干殺。有甲戌生人，柳土泊命，土起亢，羅守照，一生發用，五十七限脫鋒入劫，自縊死。

Four gold elements are stationed in the命宫, and the命主 originates from the杀宫, indicating excessive killing energy, which suggests a short lifespan. If theFortune Virtue宫,禄星, and身宫 are favorable and can initiate transmission, it is only appropriate to refer to the阳Nobleman. Generally, the destiny should be divided into cold and hot periods: during great cold, one should not depart from the Sun, the荧惑火星, and the罗睺; if too close to the辰星 and月孛, it would be unfavorable. During great heat, it is the opposite. Those who commit suicide by hanging must have committed the阑干杀. There is a person born in the year of Jiaxu, with柳土宿 in命宫, the镇星 (Saturn) originates from theNeck mansion, and the罗睺 is guarding and illuminating. This person had considerable achievements in life, but at the age of fifty-seven, during the limit period, he exited the刃锋 and entered the劫杀, and then committed suicide by hanging.

又甲寅生人，寅時軫水立命，月起官祿參水四度，十八歲限入張為生員，自吊死，以亢軫參度數為闌干故也。又有乙卯生人，壁水為命，日月夾水，中進士，官至六十二，行卯限末，將入刃縊死，何也？蓋宮火怒畢七原，闌干殺起畢七，與孛同道，命水又是廉劫，主不宜夾拱，故縊死。不獨看闌干，但諸殺並沓，壽元根基淺薄，亦主橫死。

There are also people born in the year Jiayin, whose destiny is based on the water mansion Zhen at the hour of Yin. The "Taiyin" starts at the official position palace at the fourth degree of the water mansion Shen. At eighteen, they enter the mansion Zhang, pass the examination to become a scholar, and later die by hanging. This is because the degrees Kangle, Zhen, and Shen are exactly where the "Langan Sha" is located. There are also people born in the year Yimao, whose destiny is based on the water mansion Bi. The "Taiyin" and "Taiyang" are on both sides supporting the water mansion. They pass the imperial examination to become a jinshi, serve as officials until the age of sixty-two, and when their limit of theMao Palace is about to end and they enter the Yangren, they die by hanging. Why is this so? Originally, the fire in the palace angered the mansion Bi and the seven mansions. The "Langan Sha" is exactly between Bi and the seven mansions, and it is also on the same path as the "Yuebo." Since their destiny is water and they are also affected by "Feilian" and "Jie Sha," which are not suitable for being supported by both sides, they die by hanging. This shows that we cannot only look at the "Langan Sha" alone. If various sha are overlapping and the foundation of longevity is shallow, it also leads to a sudden death.

闌干之星，亦主傷殘自縊之禍，若遇官事，主徒杖等刑。自子年在午，丑年在未，則沖即是。如在命度有惡殺相併，決主非災而死。一月帶刃，不宜與火羅同躔，主目疾；若在已上，主耳聾。火羅帶殺險，火命人稍輕。如己未生人二月，九月又是未申泊命，月是殺，主最嫌與刑金同宮，若得令，先榮後刑。又如丁丑二月生，金月在子，火在午，亥宮泊命，金為兄弟帶殺，行殺限，被弟持刀殺死。

The star "Langan" is associated with injuries and self-inflicted death; if it comes into conflict with legal matters, it indicates punishments such as imprisonment or corporal punishment. Its method of calculation is: in the year of Zi, it is in Wu; in the year of Chou, it is in Wei; take the opposing sign as the position. If it falls in the degree of destiny and is accompanied by evil stars and harmful influences, it will certainly result in a premature death. The "Taiyin" star combined with Yangren is not favorable when it is in the same degree as "Fenghuo" (Mars) and "Luohou"; this indicates eye diseases. If it is in the position of Si, it indicates deafness. "Fenghuo" and "Luohou" combined with harmful influences are most dangerous. Those whose destiny is governed by fire are less affected. For example, someone born in the second month of the Jiwei year, when they reach the age of nine and the limit of their life cycle falls in the ninth month and they are in the positions of Wei and Shen, "Taiyin" is a harmful star, which is most unfavorable when it is in the same degree as "Tai Bai" (the planet of metal) that brings punishment. If it is in its proper position, they may first achieve success and then suffer punishment. Another example is someone born in the second month of the Dingchou year, where "Tai Bai" and "Taiyin" are in Zi, "Fenghuo" is in Wu, and the destiny palace is in Hai. The "Tai Bai" planet is the ruler of the brother's palace and also brings harmful influences. When they reach the limit of the harmful period, they are killed by their brother with a knife.

金為刃器也，又行殺限，主有是事，言命之理，信有之矣。一寒月要隨陽，日月同躔，又是四月泊命，更官福田財又好，為上格。一看官魁星要緊，名利人根基既好，更官魁在命，或在官福，在八殺獨行得令，為顯官。如甲壬生人，氣月為官魁；乙生人，水日是也。

The star Tai Bai, which is the planet Venus, is originally a weapon-like object, and when it reaches the period of killing, such events occur. This shows that the principles of divination are indeed verified. Those born in cold months need the star Tai Yin to follow the star Tai Yang, with Tai Yang and Tai Yin in conjunction. If the four lunar mansions are properly placed for the destiny, and the official position, fortune virtue, land and property, and wealth sectors are all favorable, then it is considered an excellent destiny. It is important to examine the official star, the star Guan Kuai. If a person seeking fame and profit has a solid foundation, and the official star is in the destiny position, or located in the official position or fortune virtue sector, or alone in the eight killing sectors but in command, then he will become a prominent official. For example, those born in the year of Jia or Ren use the stars Zi Qi and Tai Yin as their official stars; those born in the year of Yi use the stars Chen Xing (water star) and Tai Yang as their official stars.

一五星帶天雄陽刃近太陽，主目疾，四日泊命尤驗，日守照亦然。若日帶孤廉刃守照，或遇殺星輔夾，俱主夭。日月為天之眼目，如帶殺則害之，如人之眼目，故主是疾。一用星或命或官本弱，得援星親切者為上。一命坐孤劫，或孤劫星守照者，必主害六親，各有輕重分之。一命坐四金，土對照金，勢強，假使金木同度，決然不利，因財致禍，刑殺重並者尤甚。

If the Five Stars are accompanied by "Tian Xiong" and "Yang Ren" and are close to "Tai Yang", it indicates eye disease, and this is especially accurate when the four day stars are used to determine the命宫. "Tai Yang" shining upon the命宫 also has the same effect. If "Tai Yang" is accompanied by "Guchen", "Fei Lian", and "Yang Ren" and shines upon the命宫, or if there are killing stars flanking from both sides, it indicates a short life. "Tai Yang" and "Tai Yin" are the eyes of heaven, and if they are accompanied by killing stars, it harms these eyes, just as human eyes being injured lead to eye disease. If the stars used or the命宫 or the official position宫 are weak in power, as long as they are supported closely by a helping star, it is considered excellent. If the命宫 is occupied by "Guchen" and "Jie Sha", or if there are solitary and calamity stars shining upon it, it will certainly harm the Six Relations, but the degree of harm varies. If the命宫 is occupied by four metals and "Zhen Xing" (Saturn) is opposing the metal, the metal force becomes too strong; if metal and wood are in the same degree, it will definitely be unfavorable, leading to misfortune from wealth. If there are multiple punishments and killing stars overlapping, the situation becomes even worse.

一冬令金水嚴凝，若守照，或是命度，乃孤乏之人也。一計羅截斷，跳出一星，又嫌五殘守照，經書甚有理，中間多五殘守照而富貴。如白布政，己亥四月二十九日子時，危十二度泊命，計羅辰戌，漏一氣在斗木，到大梁，月孛胃宿土同躔，諸星皆不可取，年少登科。吾想月為天元祿，主身度起高故也。

Those born in winter have the "Tai Bai" star, representing metal, and the "Chen Xing" star, representing water, which are cold and severe. If these stars guard or illuminate the命宫, or if they are the native's degree, then the person is likely to be lonely and poor. The "Ji Du" and "Luo Hou" stars cut off the star chart, and a single star appears in the middle. It is also considered unfavorable if the "Wu Can" stars guard or illuminate. The saying in the classics has much truth to it; however, in reality, there are many who have the "Wu Can" stars guarding or illuminating yet still become wealthy and prosperous. For example, Bai Buzheng was born on the 29th day of the fourth lunar month in the Jihai year, at the子 hour. His destiny is in the "Wei Su" degree, the "Ji Du" and "Luo Hou" stars are in the Chen and Xu degrees respectively, leaving the "Zi Qi" star in the Dou Mu Su degree. It moves to the Da Liang degree, where the "Yue Bo" star is conjunct with the "Zhen Xing" star and the "Tu Xing" star. All these stars seem unremarkable, yet he achieved success in the imperial examinations at a young age. I think this is because the "Tai Yin" star formed the heavenly official's wealth, raising his destiny to a higher level.

又如己亥七月卯時柳土泊命，氣漏關，日月五星拱夾，早妨父母，出外發跡，此格可準。又有六月午時氐度安命，五星南離趨拱，此是貴格。又如己亥八月十四日午時寅尾泊命，氣在斗，月在危，脫氐土身亡。吾想月帶刃雄，不宜與火巳亥對沖，加金羅三方對照，謂三方四正俱是殺故也。

Another example is someone born in the year of Jihai, seventh lunar month,卯 time. Their destiny is placed in the mansion of Willow Earth, with the "Purple Qi" missing at the gate, and the "Sun" and "Moon" along with the five stars forming a surrounding pattern in front and behind. They will face obstacles and conflicts with their parents in their early years, but will achieve success only when they go out. This pattern is reliable. There is also someone born in the sixth lunar month at午 time, with their destiny placed in the Root Mansion. The five stars are approaching the southern position of Fire, forming a protective pattern, which is a noble pattern. Another example is someone born on the fourteenth day of the eighth lunar month at午 time in the year of Jihai. Their destiny is located in the寅 mansion and Tail Mansion. The "Purple Qi" is in the Dipper Mansion, and the "Moon" is in the Rooftop Mansion. When their life span reaches the area of the Root Mansion and the planet of Earth (Jupiter), they will die. I think it is because the "Moon" is accompanied by the "Yang Blade" and "Tian Xiong", which are not suitable to be in the巳 and亥 mansions and to conflict with the "Flame Star" (Mars). Moreover, the "White Star" (Saturn) and "Luohou" are opposing from three directions. Therefore, all the three directions and four cardinal points are filled with harmful stars.

一貴一富，皆由星辰得局度數，得時得相生扶拱而致人有富貴者也，苟有毫釐克陷則不然也。一太乙抱鬼之說，曾有秋殘夜半不可孤居之論，吾觀貴命多有月孛同行，或前或後，或沉或晦，亦在辰戌丑宮者不妨，此又不可一概而取。一婦人命最難看，有坐臨官馬者，有坐咸池守照者，身星清吉亦無他事，雖發用一生多病；若殺宮安身命，終帶妨克。一女土泊命，木守照不妨，行限好即發用財福，克命之故。

A person's wealth or status is determined by the configuration of stars and the degree of their birth constellation. If the stars are timely and they support and assist each other, then wealth and status can be achieved. However, even a slight deviation, or being overcome or falling into a weak position, would change this. Regarding the saying "Too Yi Bao Gui" (Too Yi Embraces Ghosts), previous commentators have mentioned "It is not advisable to be alone during the late autumn at midnight." I have observed that in auspicious destinies, there are often "Yue Bo" (Moon孛) accompanying the person, either before or after, or hidden or obscured, and some are located in the constellations of Chen, Xu, or Chou, which are not problematic. This shows that such statements cannot be universally applied. Women's destinies are the most difficult to interpret: some sit on the position of "Lin Guan" (Officialdom) or "Yi Ma" (Post-horse), some sit on "Xian Chi" (Xianchi) and are guarded by other stars. As long as the star of the body palace is pure and auspicious, there is no problem, although they may be able to initiate transmission, they tend to have many illnesses throughout their lives. If the body palace and destiny palace are placed in a killing palace, there will inevitably be obstacles and conflicts. There is a female destiny where the person is placed in the earth constellation, and the "Su Xing" (Year Star) of wood star guards it, which is not problematic, and the limit is also good, thus initiating transmission in the wealth and fortune virtue palaces. This is precisely because the wood star overcomes the destiny, which actually becomes beneficial.

一看太陰要緊。李侍郎己巳十二月十四日亥時，程副使十三日亥時，俱翼火度泊命，監生舉人出身，諸星無異，止是月躔畢度者，一生為風憲官，五十八致仕，富貴極厚，七十一死；月躔井一者，一生為部官，五十九病，六十死。又如乙卯八月辛丑日申時，金月在辰；又有己亥日申時者，二日命俱坐虛，日孛守照，諸星一般。太陰與木日在巳者，早中進士，御史尚書，子貴，壽至六十；月在辰者，為賢良保，起居京官。

Looking at the "Tai Yin" is most important. Li Shilang was born on the Jisi year, twelfth lunar month, fourteenth day,亥 hour. Cheng Fushǐ was born on the thirteenth day,亥 hour. Both have their destiny determined by the "Yi Huo Xiu" star. One became a supervised scholar, the other became a juren, and all other stars are the same. The only difference is the degree of the "Tai Yin" in the mansion: the one whose "Tai Yin" is in the Bi Xiu mansion lived as an official in the Inspection and Discipline Department, retired at the age of fifty-eight, and enjoyed great wealth and honor, dying at seventy-one; the one whose "Tai Yin" is in the first degree of the Jing Xiu mansion only held a position in a ministry, fell ill at fifty-nine, and died at sixty. Another example is someone born at the Yimao year, eighth lunar month, Xinchou day, and Shen hour, where the "Tai Bai" star and "Tai Yin" are in the Chen mansion; another person born on the Jihai day, Shen hour, has both their destiny in the Xu Xiu mansion, with the "Tai Yang" and "Yue Bo" stars guarding and illuminating, and all other stars are the same. Among them, the one whose "Tai Yin" and "Su Xing" (Jupiter) and "Tai Yang" are all in the Si mansion passed the imperial examination early, served as an imperial censor, then as a minister, and his son also achieved high status, living to sixty; the one whose "Tai Yin" is in the Chen mansion reached a position such as that of a virtuous official recommended for promotion.

八品行房日氐土死，其年四十四，子不貴。想日月為身命，木為財福，俱起八殺故也。大抵人之富貴壽夭，皆由星度之得位不得位者也，故有先富而後貧、先貴而後賤者，氣數之不齊，星度之不順，非人事之不修、德行之不高也。籲！天也，命也，豈人事乎！

This person held an official position of the eighth rank. When his life limit reached the area of the mansion of the day and the root mansion, along with the place of the "Governor Star" or Saturn, he died at the age of forty-four, and his son did not achieve prominence. It seems to be because the "Sun" and "Moon" served as the rulers of his body palace and destiny palace, while the "Year Star" or Jupiter served as the ruler of his wealth and virtue, yet all originated from the palace of the eighth killer. Generally speaking, a person's wealth, nobility, and longevity depend on whether the stars are in proper positions or not. Therefore, there are people who first become rich then poor, and those who first become noble then fall into obscurity. This is due to an imbalance in fate and improper alignment of the stars, not because of improper conduct or lack of virtue. Alas! This is the will of heaven, the destiny, how can it be controlled by human effort?

一諸星拱西北，一月順，而當陽宮度俱強，亦為大格；行限弱，則不能吉。如壬申四月亥時在斗泊命，壬戌日者，月坐官祿，官至一二品；乙丑日，月坐福德，官至四品三品，俱六十二入午限死。太陽在酉，孤立癸酉，流年陽刃在命，俱死於官，得唐符卦氣在午，結果甚美。又如壬申正月巳時胃土泊命，計羅己亥，一孛滿用，月與日在亥者，登進士，官至三品。一子月在八殺者，生員無子，三十五歲入刃病亡，重在太陰，不可不察。

All the stars are converging toward the northwest, and "Taiyin" moves smoothly along its path. Moreover, the palace degrees that are in the center are all strong and flourishing, which is also a major configuration. However, if the limit of the life span is weak, it still cannot be considered auspicious. For example, someone born at the fourth month and亥 hour in the year Renshen, with their destiny in the Dipper mansion: those born on the day Renxu have "Taiyin" sitting in the official position palace, and they can attain the rank of first or second class official; those born on the day Yichou have "Taiyin" sitting in the fortune virtue palace, and they can attain the rank of third or fourth class official. Both died when they reached the limit of their life span at the age of sixty-two. At that time, "Taiyang" was in You, isolated in Guiyou, and the flowing year's "Yangren" was exactly in the destiny palace, so both died while still in office. However, because they received the Tang Fu and the卦气 in Wu, their posthumous outcomes were quite satisfactory. Another example is someone born at the first month and Si hour in the year Renshen, with their destiny in the stomach earth mansion. "Jidu" and "Luohou" are in Jihai, and only one "Yuebo" is complete and usable. However, "Taiyin" and "Taiyang" are both in the亥 palace, so they passed the imperial examination as a jinshi and attained the rank of third class official. As for those with "Taiyin" in the palace of the eight killers, they only became a student and had no children. At the age of thirty-five, their life limit entered the Yangren, and they died of illness. The key lies entirely in "Taiyin," which must not be overlooked.

一火羅攻破日鼠，有太陰得所，火羅不得令，水土火生人不忌。一元武引駕，水在日前，又值吉神化三元最妙，太歲兼之為上格，四水泊命，取之在午未辰巳愈妙，更太陽得地有光。此得引從之吉，扶助相資盡是吉神，且水助陽光也。

The day when "Mars" and "Rahu" clash with "Xu Ri Shu" is inherently ominous; however, if "Tai Yin" is located in a favorable palace, and if Mars and Rahu are not in season and do not have strong influence, then people whose native elements are water, earth, or fire need not be wary, because water can control fire, earth can disperse fire, and fire is of the same kind and thus friendly, so none of the three are harmed. The "Yuan Wu Yin Jia" pattern occurs when "Water Star" precedes the Sun to clear the way for it; if further aided by auspicious deities to transform into the "Three Origins" (Heavenly Origin, Earthly Origin, Human Origin), it is most extraordinary, and being able to also receive the power of the "Tai Sui" (Year God) constitutes an excellent pattern. Those whose命宫 (destiny palace) falls on the four "Water" mansions: Ji Shui Bao, Bi Shui Yu, Can Shui Yuan, and Zhen Shui Yin, should place their命宫 (destiny palace) in the palaces of Wu, Wei, Chen, or Si for better results. Adding the Sun in a favorable palace with strong presence makes it even more complete. This is a favorable pattern with a guide in front and attendants behind, with all the supporting deities being auspicious, and since water naturally enhances the brilliance of the Sun, it is even more beneficial.

一朱雀朝天，或捧御單行得所為上格，化三元最妙。假如戌亥安命，火守化為三元，或木為三元，三方宮度相資亦上格也。一昴日安命刃火，與日同躔本凶，若逢夜生，秋令不妨，更得金水相扶，主貴有壽。一身命在空亡名死窟，加刃拱禍偏，烈太歲實之，死於非命。一日月引領諸星，拱朝帝闕，及文武兩班天地開明，大貴格也，世人多不見。以北方為帝闕，猶紫微垣也，而眾星拱北辰之理也。

The pattern "Zhu Que Facing Heaven" refers to the planet Mars facing the zenith; or if it moves alone and is in a favorable position, showing a posture of honoring the imperial throne, it is considered an excellent pattern. If it further transforms into the "Three Elements," it is most auspicious. For example, if the命宫 (destiny palace) is placed in the Xu or Hai palace, and Mars is at the命 (destiny) and transforms into the Three Elements, or the Jupiter transforms into the Three Elements, and the three directions' positions and host degrees mutually generate and support each other, it is also an excellent pattern. If the命宫 is placed at "Mao Ri Ji" (the Rooster of the昴) and accompanied by the Yang Blade and Mars, with fire and the Sun in the same degree, it is originally凶 (malevolent); but if born at night during autumn, it is not harmful, and if further assisted by the metal and water stars, it instead indicates a prominent and long life. If the body palace and命宫 fall into the Kongwang (void) position, it is called "Dead Pit." If it is further combined with the Yang Blade surrounding, the calamities will be particularly severe. Once the "Tai Sui" (Year Star) comes to fill this empty position, it may result in a death by misfortune. The Sun and Moon lead the group of stars, surrounding and facing the northern imperial palace, with the literary and martial stars arranged on both sides, the heavens clear and bright, this is a great fortune pattern, rarely seen in the world. The so-called imperial palace refers to the north, like the Purple Micro垣 (Purple Micro Enclosure) in the sky, taking the meaning of all stars surrounding the North Star.

一宮主克度輕，八殺不宜，克命宮主克命遇之不吉。格局好須不妨，結果終不善。一土計羅帶天雄、陽刃，夜生與月共度，必有破相之疾，太陽帶之亦然。一丁酉十月丑時翼火泊命，金守照，月與火同度，在軫十二三，必是瞽者，金能音樂，月帶刃殺，最不宜火逼故也。

The ruler star of the palace is able to overcome the main star of the palace, which is considered a mild harm; but if it meets the "Eight Killers," it is not suitable. When the palace ruler star overcomes the birth palace and the birth ruler, it becomes inauspicious. Even if the overall pattern is good, it may be acceptable for now, but the final outcome will not be satisfactory. The stars "Saturn," "Ji Du," and "Luo Hou" bring along the two malevolent stars "Tian Xiong" and "Yang Ren," and if they are born at night and in conjunction with the Moon, there will certainly be injuries such as disfigurement. Similarly, if the Sun is accompanied by these malevolent stars, the situation is the same. For example, a person born in the year of Dingyou in the tenth lunar month at the hour of Chou will have their birth palace located at "Yi Huo She" with the star Jin (Metal) guarding, and the Moon and Fire star in conjunction, all located at the twelfth and thirteenth degrees of "Zhen Shui Yin." This person is definitely blind. Metal governs sound and music, so he is capable of understanding music; however, the Moon accompanied by the Yang Blade is most unfavorable when pressed by the Fire star, hence the blindness.

一身命坐八殺，得時得令，諸吉扶之貴格。如丁卯五月午時軫十度泊命，羅計截斷寅申，一金漏出在酉，本美，爭奈殺土克命，水在鬼，月帶刃，同水坐祿，見水得子妨妻，三十五行水身為內，使刃尾劫首見計，不好總論，一金得力故也。假如戌亥子坐命，八殺守照，更遇吉神大貴。大抵論命，要十一曜之得局，諸殺神不為害，限度相扶終為平和，可以言富貴也。

The body palace and life palace sitting on the "Eight Killers" position, if they receive assistance from the right season and are supported by many auspicious stars, they still form a noble destiny. For example, someone born in the year of Dingmao in the fifth lunar month at the hour of Wu, with the life palace located at the ten degrees of "Zhen Water Worm," and "Luohou" and "Jidu" cutting off the Yin and Shen palaces, only a single Venus appears in You palace, which is a good sign. Unfortunately, the earth star, acting as a killer star, harms the life palace, while the water star is located at "Gui Jin Yang." The Taiyin, along with the Yang Blade, shares the禄 position with the water star, so although seeing water can bring sons, it also harms the wife. At the age of thirty-five, when the water star's influence comes into play, the body palace is internal, the Yang Blade is in Wei, and the Jiesha is at the head, along with Jidu, making the overall judgment unfavorable. However, because that single Venus still has some strength, it does not cause great damage. 一諸星皆晦，惟一福專權，又化催官或為三元，又值祿旺之地，不以晝夜為忌，此是大格局。雖有官祿從陽，若在弱宮與命相戰，皆不取用，與身命相資者貴，一犯三刑勾絞。如卯刑子是子安命者，八字日支又是子者，四旬外行，卯限犯刑而死。

All the stars in the chart are dark and dull, but there is one single fortune star that holds exclusive power. There are also cases where a person's life palace is occupied by a good star, but during the limit period, many killing stars converge, which also leads to a sudden death.

有壬申生人七月卯時星日泊命，水輔陽在午，唐符卦氣在局，中年保為訓導，癸酉流年六十二歲，限交室火見計，六月被同僚打死檢尸，此是陽刃與木對照於命，申反刑亥，加勾絞亡神貫索在亥，氣月在丑羅，火在巳酉，諸殺交攻故也。

There is a person born in the year of Renshen, in the seventh lunar month at the hour of Mao. Their destiny palace falls on 'Star Day Horse'. 一四土安命宜火得令，獨居守照，或去近土為上格；再不宜近羅謂逢生，不宜重見，若火太燥為下格。四土者，女土蝠、胃土雉、柳土獐、氐土貉之類。一四日泊命，不宜木氣與日同躔，日生人主夭。若火羅日同躔，只不益親於己不妨。惟四日不怕廉火。四日者，房日兔、星日馬、昴日雞、虛日鼠是也。
