Fire belongs to night, and earth belongs to day; if someone is born during the day but is considered as fire, or born at night but is considered as earth, this goes against their nature and contradicts the season, leading to misfortune in all affairs.

羅計孛臨本命宮，剛強暴虐足威風。臨財主執多權概，勢力過人膽氣雄。兄弟合胎皆異姓，若臨父母二三重。臨子一如兄弟應，或是螟蛉隨母聘。臨在妻宮主換妻，妻臨一例斷裁之。

The three stars "Luohou," "Jidu," and "Yuebo" appearing in the native's native宫 (house of birth) indicate that the person is strong-willed and fierce, with considerable authority and a commanding presence. When these stars appear in the wealth宫 (house of wealth), they signify that the person holds great power, has extraordinary influence, and possesses a bold and vigorous spirit. When these stars appear in the brothers宫 (house of brothers), it suggests that all siblings are treated as if they were from different families. If these stars appear in the parents宫 (house of parents), it indicates that the person has two or more sets of parents. When these stars appear in the children宫 (house of children), the situation is similar to that of the brothers宫, or it may mean that the person has adopted children brought by the mother from a previous marriage. When these stars appear in the spouse宫 (house of spouse), it indicates a change in marriage; for a female's spouse宫, the same interpretation applies.

倘逢滿用當居廟，免見刑傷主別離。滿用依然見惡星，依前刑剋濫無情。如臨奴僕奴牛盛，疾厄當之怪疾刑。遷宮任重足威權，官祿宮中事亦然。福德若臨皆滿用，貌宮威虐孰能前。三星臨宮若得廟旺，有吉星押之，則不為禍；有凶曜攻之，為害甚速。

If the stars fall into the "full use" pattern and are in their temple position, they can avoid punishment and only indicate separation. However, if "full use" still encounters evil stars, then punishment and suppression will occur, being overwhelming and merciless. If these stars fall into the servant宫, they indicate a flourishing of servants and livestock; if they fall into the illness宫, they indicate suffering from strange diseases or injuries. If they fall into the migration宫, they indicate taking on heavy responsibilities and possessing great authority; if they fall into the official career宫, the situation is similar. If they fall into the fortune virtue宫, it depends on whether they form the "full use" pattern; if they fall into the appearance宫, they indicate fierce and cruel power, and who can stand in front of them? If these three stars are in a palace where they are in their temple position and strong, and are restrained by auspicious stars, they will not cause harm. However, if they are attacked by malevolent stars, the harm will come quickly.

水星和順多能智，喜會日月木金氣。怕逢忌宿孛計羅，男可為奴女為妓。臨財財帛足昌榮，博覽詩書通六經。若臨兄弟宜一二，若同父母足年齡。在子一人為後裔，臨妻妻位皆吉利。

"Chen Star" (Water) signifies a harmonious and well-mannered person, endowed with great talent and intelligence. It is most favorable when it meets with "Sun Star," "Moon Star," "Jade Star," "White Star," and "Purple Qi." However, it is unfavorable when it encounters忌宿 (forbidden stars) as well as "Moon孛," "Ji Du," and "Luo Hou." In such cases, men may become servants, and women may become prostitutes. When Water Star is in the wealth宫 (wealth palace), it indicates abundant wealth and prosperity; the person is knowledgeable and well-versed in the Six Classics. If it is in the brothers宫 (brothers palace), it is suitable to have one or two brothers. If it is in the parents宫 (parents palace), it indicates that the parents will have long and healthy lives. When it is in the children宫 (children palace), it signifies one son to continue the family line. When it is in the wife宫 (wife palace), the position of the wife is favorable.

若臨奴僕在犧牲，疾厄宮中無疾病。遷宮出處總榮歡，官祿當之掌大權。福德當之豐福壽，如居相貌性溫然。若期百六限無憂，更逢滿用足禎休。廟宮會遇升騰處，百里光華遍地流。水主智，好動之星，多則喜吉星輔之。

If it falls in the宫 of servants and slaves, the benefits are reflected in livestock and sacrifices; if it falls in the宫 of illness and misfortune, it indicates a lifetime free from illness. If it falls in the宫 of migration, whether traveling or staying put, one will enjoy honor and comfort. If it falls in the宫 of officialdom, it indicates holding great power. If it falls in the宫 of virtue and fortune, it indicates abundant blessings and longevity. If it falls in the宫 of appearance, it indicates a gentle disposition. If it is exactly at the limit of the hundred and six, there will be no worries in fate; if it meets the 'full use' pattern, auspiciousness and goodness will be abundant. If it meets the temple palace and rises to a high place, its brilliance can illuminate an area of a hundred li. Water represents wisdom, which is a star that likes to move; when it moves frequently, it prefers to have auspicious stars nearby to assist.

景星尊大最廉平，志氣孤高又敏明。臨在財宮多粟帛，文章擲地作金聲。兄弟子位三五人，僧家或說是孤辰。父母妻宮長福壽，第四宮中田宅盈。

"The Purple Qi" is also known as Jingxing, noble and vast, most upright and fair, indicating a person of lofty aspirations and sharp intelligence. When it falls in the Wealth and Resources宫, it signifies an abundance of grain and silk; writings composed under its influence are resounding like metal and stone. When it falls in the Brothers宫 or the Children宫, it indicates three to five people. For monks who take monastic vows, it is sometimes referred to as Guchen. When it falls in the Parents宫 or the Spouse宫, it signifies long life and good fortune; when it falls in the Fourth宫, it indicates fullness in the fields and dwellings.

奴生逢會多奴婢，疾厄當之斥禍災。若是遷宮俱顯職，正臨官祿上金階。福德當之福勢隆，貌宮喜主美顏容。如逢百六朝宸陛，庶位當之粟帛豐。氣好清閒，主九流藝術，得地主清貴，逢空陷為僧道，有壽，能解人之災厄。

If it falls in the servant宫 and meets auspicious stars, it indicates many servants and attendants; if it falls in the illness宫, it can expel misfortunes and calamities. If it falls in the migration宫, it indicates holding a high official position; if it directly falls in the officialdom宫, it can lead to a position of honor to present oneself before the emperor. If it falls in the fortune virtue宫, it indicates great fortune and power; if it falls in the appearance宫, it indicates a pleasing appearance. If it coincides with the limit of 百六, it can lead to visiting the imperial palace; even if it occurs in the position of a commoner, it indicates abundance of grain, rice, silk, and cloth. 「Purple Qi」 favors tranquility and is associated with arts among the nine streams; if it is in a favorable position, it indicates high moral standing and prestige; if it meets Kongwang and falls into a decline, it indicates becoming a monk or a Taoist. It signifies longevity and can resolve disasters for people.

大抵羅計本相對，莫把對宮推禍福。羅計權高日月星，直入火土乃為英。官高殺伐威名振，諫諍趨庭叩上清。值者多為天眷屬，不然將相是宗親。廟宮滿用人人好，群小當之破損身。羅星在天號曰天首，計星號天尾。諸星逆行，惟羅計順行，逢日月則蝕。

In general, 'Ruo Hou' and 'Ji Du' are located at opposite ends and cannot be interpreted using the usual method of opposing palaces to determine fortune or misfortune. These two stars have greater power than 'Tai Yang' (Sun) and 'Tai Yin' (Moon). If they directly enter the positions of 'Ying Huo' (Mars) and 'Zhen Xing' (Saturn), they instead form an image of outstanding talent. They indicate high official rank, control over life and death, great fame, and the ability to speak frankly in court, moving freely within the palace and questioning the heavenly court. Those who possess this pattern are mostly royal relatives or close relatives of generals and ministers. If these stars fall in their favorable palaces, they become 'Man Yong' (full and used), and everyone praises them. However, if petty people encounter them, they will suffer financial loss and physical harm. In the sky, 'Ruo Xing' is called 'Tian Shou' (Heavenly Head), and 'Ji Xing' is called 'Tian Wei' (Heavenly Tail). All other stars move retrograde, but 'Ruo' and 'Ji' move prograde. When they meet the sun and moon, they cause solar and lunar eclipses.

天命為最己身欲強，值吉星以守照，獲厚福以無疆。倘入廟以清奇，更須高位；若陷囚而喜旺，又且何妨。太陽臨位而榮貴無災，月後入宮而清慈有福，美容貌而且秀，處人事而最足。

In divination, the heavenly palace is of greatest importance, and one's own palace should be strong and prosperous. If auspicious stars are stationed or shining upon it, the blessings obtained will be boundless. If the palace is in its proper position and has a clear and extraordinary appearance, one should hold a high position. Even if it is in a declining or confined position, as long as it still carries a strong energy, there is no harm. The Sun in the birth palace indicates honor, prestige, and no calamity. The Moon, as the lunar deity, in the birth palace indicates a gentle and kind nature, good fortune, beautiful appearance, and the ability to handle worldly affairs with great care and completeness.

切防忌宿照臨而減算，除年大緊凶星對照而興災失祿。金潔體而立性多剛，水鼠眸而為人不一，非言辭之無準，惟處世之多失。木須清秀體長而好學文章，氣必寬慈，經史而博覽廣識，或云孤宿亦號官星。雲寡宿者為僧為道，道官星者有職有權。孛星身瘦小，而人前好說家風。

One should be particularly cautious of the ominous influence of Guasu, which may shorten one's lifespan, especially during critical years. When malevolent stars align, calamities may arise and one may lose their position of honor. The star Tai Bai (metal) signifies a person with a clean body and a strong character. The star Chen Xing (water) indicates someone with small eyes and inconsistent behavior, not necessarily lacking in speech, but prone to mistakes in conduct. The star Mu Xing (wood) represents a person who is refined and tall, studious and skilled in literature. The star Zi Qi (purple qi) is said to have a broad and kind nature, well-versed in classics and history, with wide knowledge. Some call it Guasu, also known as Guan Xing. If called Guasu, it suggests a person who may become a monk or a Taoist. If called Guan Xing, it suggests someone who holds an official position and has authority. The star Yue Bo signifies a person with a thin body who likes to boast about their family's reputation in front of others.

羅計粗雄而膽大，性多鄙吝，喜獨居於一位，忌相會於諸星。惡曜而多白不安，凶星而遂成殃釁。火星赤黑煩燥暴以難瞞，土星矮肥最寡言而多慮。各分晝夜，切論晨昏，若為忌宿之臨，深作殃危之急。

The celestial bodies 「Luohou」 and 「Jidu」 are said to take on human forms that are coarse and robust, with a bold and fierce nature, yet their disposition tends to be mean and stingy. They prefer to be alone and dislike meeting with other stars. Originally malevolent, they often indicate white of the eyes exposed and mental unrest. Once they become maleficent stars, they can cause calamities and misfortunes. 「Yinghuo」 (Fire) indicates a person with a reddish-black complexion, a hot-tempered and irritable nature, which cannot be concealed. 「Zhenxing」 (Earth) indicates a person who is short and stout in build, very quiet and reserved, yet with complex thoughts. These should be distinguished based on whether the person was born during the day or night, and further analyzed according to the time of morning or evening. If the person is born under a forbidden constellation, it should be regarded as the most urgent calamity and danger.

財帛宮位吉凶可知，遇木星而守照，無凶曜以為奇，資財必獲於昌榮，金庫盈滿於囊篋，平生空乏。水土難欺，金氣歸垣，與木曜以頗同，日月同宮主人財而猶旺，火孛兩曜須破敗以無成，羅計二星主離祖而有望。吉凶混雜，前後須知多寡，宜詳高低無妄。

The fortune of the Wealth and Treasure Palace can be determined: if the "Jupiter" star is stationed or shining upon it without any malevolent stars mixed in, it is a rare and auspicious configuration, leading to great prosperity and wealth, with treasure chests full. As for those who are always in financial hardship, it is due to the inability of the water and earth stars to overpower and the lack of strength. When "White Tiger" (Metal) and "Purple Qi" each return to their native mansions, their effects are largely similar to "Jupiter." When "Sun" and "Moon" are in the same palace, the person will have especially abundant wealth. However, if "Flame Star" and "Moon孛" are in this palace, they can only cause destruction and result in nothing accomplished. If "RuoHou" and "JiDu" stars are present, they indicate leaving the ancestral estate and having other hopes. If both good and bad stars are mixed, one must examine the quantity of good and bad fortune before and after, and must carefully assess the degree of fortune, without making hasty judgments.

兄弟宮數要知多寡之分，星宿推遷須識吉凶之佐。值太陽者先損其父，遇太陰者卻無其母。土星生晝，兄弟而五人；金星夜值，鴈行之四個。計羅二三，木氣還多，水土兩娘，而生火星爾我而已。

In determining the number of siblings, one must also consider the movement and changes of the star mansions to discern auspicious or inauspicious signs. If the person is under the influence of the Sun, the father is likely to be harmed first; if under the Moon, the mother may be absent. If the person is under the influence of the planet of the Earth (Jingxing), and born during the day, there are five brothers or sisters. If under the planet of Metal (Tai Bai), and born at night, there are four in the family. The planets Ji Du and Luo Hou indicate two or three siblings, while the planet of Wood (Jixing) and Purple Qi suggest even more. If the person is under the influence of the planet of Water (Chenxing) and the planet of Earth (Jingxing), they are likely to have two mothers. If born under the influence of the planet of Fire (Fenghuo), there are only two people, oneself and the other.

田宅宮分，惟日月之最吉，父母重兮，喜金之極強。孛計若臨而損破，火羅土照以難堪大。欣紫氣加臨，田園豐盛；最喜木星守照，財產俱昌。男女宮內得火者一雙，子孫位中遇木星而三個，太陽得位，一二人而有可成。月曜入宮，二三子一雙無禍；水星一子須聰明；彗孛無男常坎坷；計羅有克，火星難保於初；前太乙多傷，紫氣頭兒決克破。

The field of the domestic domain is most auspicious when "Sun" and "Moon" are present. If there is an indication of repeated changes in the parents' positions, then the presence of "White Tiger" (Metal) being extremely strong is favorable. If "Moon孛" and "Counting Star" arrive and illuminate, it indicates damage and ruin to the home. If "Flame Star," "Rahu," and "Saturn" illuminate, the harm is even more unbearable. Fortunately, if "Purple Qi" is present, it indicates abundant farmland and fields. Most favorable is when "Jupiter" resides and illuminates, indicating prosperity in all aspects of property. Regarding the male and female domains, if "Flame Star" (Fire) is present, it indicates one son and one daughter. If "Jupiter" is present in the descendants' position, it indicates three children. If "Sun" is in its proper position, it indicates one or two children who will achieve success. If "Moon" enters the palace, it indicates two or three sons, among whom one son will be free from misfortune. If "Water Star" (Cronus) is present, it indicates one son who is intelligent. If a comet and "Moon孛" are present, it indicates no children and a life of hardship. If "Counting Star" and "Rahu" are present, there will be harm and obstacles. If "Flame Star" is present, even the first child may not be preserved. If "Prime Minister" is present in front, it often indicates injury and loss. If "Purple Qi" falls here, the first child is definitely doomed to misfortune.

奴為惡曜，吉凶不殊。日守則防父沒，月照則當母除。若遇惡星而入此，定係蓬蓽以安身；倘逢吉曜而加臨，須知僕馬以昌盛。夫宮無異，妻位且同。最喜金氣而相照，惟嫌日月以難逢。火星土宿而非忌，咸安木宿端正。彗孛計羅而二三，多厄水宿孤窮。若惡星以相臨，於鼓盆而難逃。

The servant's house is naturally a position of malevolent stars, where good and bad fortune are not very different. If the Sun is stationed here, one should beware of the father's death; if the Moon is present, there may be misfortune related to the mother. If evil stars enter this house, it is certain that one will live in poverty and hardship. However, if auspicious stars are present, servants and carriages will flourish. For a woman's husband house and a man's wife house, the method of interpretation is the same. This house most favors the presence of the White Tiger (metal) and the Purple Qi, but it is undesirable for the Sun and Moon to meet here. The planet of the Fiery Deity (fire) and the Planet of the Earth (earth) are not considered harmful here and can bring stability; the presence of the Jupiter (wood) indicates a proper spouse. Comets, the Moon孛, the planets 计都 and 罗睺 indicate multiple remarriages and many calamities; the planet of the Water (Chen star) indicates loneliness and poverty. If malevolent stars are present, one is bound to suffer the sorrow of losing a spouse and endure the pain of widowhood.

疾厄之位兮知吉知凶，禍患之宮兮理優理正。太陽臨位，百禍俱消；月曜入宮，而一身遭釁。水主蹇厄，孛守而喉腹生災；火主眼腰，土臨而心胸疾定。木金救解，災痾不致於侵凌；羅計為憂，手足安能於馳騁。宜當仔細推詳，庶無一毫差謬。

The position of Ji’e can determine fortune or misfortune, and the palace of Huo Huàn also follows a logical pattern, whether it is favorable or correct, all can be clearly explained. If the Sun is present here, all kinds of troubles will dissipate; if the Moon is in the palace, the person will suffer from calamities. If the Star of the Dragon (water) is present, there will be difficulties and hardships; if the Moon孛 is in charge, there will be illness in the throat and abdomen. If the planet of the Flame (fire) is present, there will be diseases in the eyes and waist; if the planet of the Earth (earth) is present, there will certainly be illness in the chest. If the planet of the Wood and the planet of the Metal (gold) come to rescue, diseases and suffering will not afflict the person. But if the planets of the Rahu and Ketu are present, how can the hands and feet move freely? All these should be carefully examined to avoid any slightest error.

遷移之位逢火孛，切忌遠行；合照之方遇羅?，必須破宅。太陽嫌晦怕囚，木金多樂於風流，水氣卻豐於財帛。官祿吉曜，職權自昌，日月相逢之最貴，羅計入廟以為強，孛星守而刑獄難逃，木氣臨而資財豐盛。

If the position of migration encounters "Flame Star" (Fire) and "Moon孛" (Moon孛), one should avoid traveling far. If the direction of meeting encounters "Ruo Hui" (Rahu), the family dwelling will certainly suffer ruin. "Sun" is disliked here when it is dark or trapped; if "Jupiter" and "Bright White" (Metal) fall here, they tend to enjoy romantic affairs. If "Chen Star" (Water) and "Purple Qi" fall here, wealth will be abundant. If the official position receives auspicious stars, official position and power will naturally flourish: "Sun" and "Bright Moon" meeting is most noble, "Rahu" and "Ji Du" entering their proper place shows strength, while "Moon孛" sitting here leads to inevitable legal troubles, and "Jupiter" and "Purple Qi" shining here bring wealth.

福德宮神最宜明淨，此一宮之強盛，獲百福以來臨。倘逢凶曜之加，壽齡何保；縱有吉星之助，財產須傾。且聞相貌之宮，須識凶吉，詳推全籍身命之宮，始知禍福堪憑。所以星辰五六，榮枯貴賤以安排；宮分四三，否泰窮富而列定。宜詳宜究，愈審愈精。

The stars and deities in the Palace of Fortune and Virtue should be clear and pure. If this palace is strong and prosperous, all kinds of blessings will naturally follow. However, if malevolent influences are present, longevity cannot be preserved; even with auspicious stars assisting, wealth will eventually be lost. Moreover, the palace of appearance also needs to be discerned for its auspicious or inauspicious nature, but detailed analysis depends entirely on the body palace and the birth palace to determine the basis of fortune and misfortune. Therefore, the numbers of stars and deities determine a person's prosperity or decline and their status; the divisions of palace positions determine a person's fortune or misfortune and wealth or poverty. These matters should be thoroughly investigated. The more careful the examination, the more accurate the results will be.
