"Chih Cha Han Mei": The natal chart is placed in the Zi (Rat) palace, and the degree in the palace is ruled by Wood, which is the master of fortune and virtue. The main stars of both the fortune and wealth palaces also enter the natal palace together, which is called the wealth star and virtue star coming to control the natal chart. This should not be generally judged as a凶 (adverse) outcome as in "Wood strikes the Jade Vase." If the Wood star meets a star that is in conflict with it, the power of wealth and fortune is reduced by half. If the native is weak, he or she may not be able to bear this wealth and fortune. The classic says: When the natal chart is in the Zi palace, the Wood star enters the Jade Vase of Qi. Such a person, if not achieving the honor of Li Guang or Guo Ziyi, will certainly possess the wealth of Fan Li, the Tao Zhu Gong.

When the career limit reaches the Chen mansion, the Jupiter is exactly in the degree of the Horn mansion, so it is called Angle Wood Cuts the Degree. Such a destiny is certain to end in an untimely death, and it is definitely due to family involvement, with misfortune arising from within the family. It is also said that if the命 is established in the degree of the Wood mansion and again meets the Wood Star along withInauspicious Sha, it means that family members will kill each other. "Golden Rider and Horse": The命宫 is located in the Yin mansion, in the degree of the Tail mansion, and meets the Metal Star. If the birth year is also the Yin year and the age ruler is in the same position, it is called Golden Rider and Horse, meaning I ride on it, because the age ruler implies attendants and service. Such a destiny brings a salary of a thousand measures, and should not be generally considered as inauspicious; however, if the Rahu invades, it is more likely to serve others as a servant, and the wife and children will scatter early.
"The Water and Fire Mutual Injury": The rhyme says that if the natal chart is located in theMao Palace (Mao Palace) under the Room Mansion, and the person is born in the summer season, the fire energy will be stored in the fiery warehouse. When the person reaches the age limit and enters theWu Palace (Wu Palace) and meets the water star, the water entering the Wu Palace will be balanced by the earth of the Willow Mansion, thus transforming misfortune into good fortune, with boundless blessings, gold and jade shining together, and wealth rivaling the state. However, once the person leaves the protection of water and enters the gate of ghosts, they will have to go to the Yellow Spring at around the age of fifty-three or forty-four. "The Golden God Holds the Blade": If the natal chart is located in theChen Palace (Chen Palace) under the Neck Mansion, it is exactly the position of the Yang Blade in the year of Yi. If the golden star is also located in the Neck Mansion, such a person can be appointed as a general, guarding the borders. When reaching the age limit and entering the Wu Palace and encountering the fire star at the Willow Mansion, their wealth can surpass the famous merchant Tao Zhu Gong. If they reach the age limit in the Wei Palace and meet the earth star at the Well Wood degree, it is bearable if born in autumn or winter, but if born in spring or summer, they will either die young or suffer from disability.
"The Black Tortoise Occupies the Platform": The mnemonic says that if the命宫 is located in theSi Palace and the water star is in theChariot mansion, the Black Tortoise star rises into its own mansion; all kinds ofInauspicious Sha are subdued and do not cause disturbances. If further aided by the planet Tai Bai (White Star), wealth and honor will continue endlessly without hardship. If in middle age another limit is encountered with the earth star assisting, it can restore the family's status and ensure long-term prosperity. "The Son Inherits the Father's Position": If the命宫 is located in theWu Palace star mansion and the fire star enters the命宫, it is used to indicate the father's position. At this time, the sun has moved to the卯宫 room mansion, and卯 is the position of the son, yet the father's star occupies it, which certainly leads to discord between father and son and disorder among brothers. If another limit encounters the wood star, this person will either be killed by legal punishment or die from a malignant illness.
"The Moon Bright Mansion": If the命宫 is located in the Wei mansion under the Wood of Well, and one is born on the nights between the 15th to 18th days, with the moon positioned in the Dou mansion of the Chou mansion, it is called the Moon Bright Mansion, and one is destined to have outstanding literary achievements. If the moon is located at the sixth degree of the Dou mansion or falls in the Dou mansion degree of the Yin mansion, it is called "Moon Supporting the Handle of the Dipper," which indicates a position in the Hanlin Academy and a place among the three platforms and eight seats. For female命, encountering this pattern can result in being granted titles of two empresses. "The祥云捧月" chart: The命宫 is located in the Wei palace, and the person is born between the 8th and 15th days of the lunar month, during which the moon leaves the island and its brilliance gradually increases. Those born at night have the moon falling into the Zi, You, Xu, and Wei palaces, with the purple qi accompanying the moon. The moon is three degrees behind the purple qi, and the purple qi is three degrees ahead of the moon, forming this pattern. Such a person has a graceful and beautiful appearance, stands out for their clarity and elegance, and is exceptionally refined in demeanor. If a planet named Luo Hui is mixed in, it is called "two slaves surrounding the master," which inevitably leads to hardship and poverty in the middle of life, with no support. However, if the moon孛 also comes to join at the same time, it can turn danger into good fortune, bringing boundless blessings. When the person's life path reaches the You palace and encounters the earth star, it signifies wealth and honor. If the life path reaches the Xu palace and meets the difficult planet Ji Du, the family will break apart and people will be separated. If the current year also has the earth star and moon孛 conflicting with this, there may be disasters from water and fire.

However, if Ji-Du comes to accompany it, the two are indifferent and unfeeling, and the person will not live past fifteen years and will pass away to the underworld. "Water and Earth Suffering Punishment": The verse says that if one's destiny is established in the Shen Palace with the water star as the main ruler, and the limit of life is in the Xu Palace, the benevolent star and the metal star are in the degree of the Kuai Host, where metal and wood clash, the benevolent star is restrained, and what was originally auspicious becomes ominous, leading to a sudden death. When the limit of life enters the Hai Palace and meets the earth star, the earth falls into the degree of the wall water, which may bring temporary wealth and prosperity for fifteen years, but once it is removed from the protection of the earth, there will be danger at fifty years of age, a drowning misfortune at fifteen, and also legal troubles and injuries to family members. This destiny should avoid the degree of the Kuai Host: if the Kuai Host is in the fire palace, the metal is restrained; when reaching the Hai Palace and meeting the earth star, the earth can generate metal, and metal can generate water, leading to success; but when reaching the危 Host, it will be restrained by the earth.

"The Star of Metal Enters the Dipper": If one's destiny is established in the You palace and Metal is the ruling star, the Star of Metal flies into the Chou palace, which is the Dipper mansion. Anyone whose destiny includes this star is destined to have outstanding talent and a handsome appearance, and will rise to prominence early. However, when the limit of one's life reaches the Yin palace and Tail mansion and encounters the Star of Fire, there will certainly be calamities involving legal troubles and injuries from bloodshed; but if it falls in the Ji mansion, it will turn misfortune into good fortune, bringing great blessings and prolonging life. "Wind of Ji and Mouth of Dipper": If one's destiny palace is established in the Hai palace, and the limit of one's life reaches the Yin palace while encountering the Star of Wood in the Ji mansion. The Ji star originally governs wind, and when the wind rises, it causes leaves to fall and branches to sway; the limit of one's life again meets the Ji or Dipper mansion, hence it is called Wind of Ji and Mouth of Dipper. Encountering this pattern means either the family will be destroyed and the person will die, or they will ultimately suffer from calamities involving water and fire.

"Alone in the vermilion hall, destined for the golden list": When the body palace and life palace are in the degree of Willow Mansion and the Sun is in Star Mansion, it indicates walking alone in the palace and being listed on the imperial examination list. "A long rainbow pierces the sun, early leadership among officials": When Mars and the Sun compete in brightness, and the Sun is the useful god, it indicates early leadership among subordinates. "The Great One embraces the moon, orphan and widow": When the Moon孛 and the Moon are in the same degree, if the Moon is considered the husband or child star, this pattern is most inauspicious, indicating orphans and widows.
"The moon flows across the sky" and the appearance of Venus indicates a high-ranking official position: when the Moon is in the午 or 未 palace and receives the assistance of Venus, this is the case. "Cold clouds emerge from the mountain" and encountering Saturn indicates a life of seclusion in an empty mountain: when the命宫 is in the奎 or 壁 constellations and meets the Purple Qi and Saturn, this is the case. In general, the official star and the mercy star must be bright and strong, and the body star and the ruling star must be powerful and strong: it is necessary for the official star, the fortune star, and the mercy star to be bright, strong, and vigorous, while the star of the body palace and the current ruling star must also be prominent, only then can one achieve honor and wealth. When making judgments, one cannot avoid the forward and backward movement, concealment, and staying of various stars; one must also carefully distinguish their waxing and waning: whether full or empty, one should follow the principles of the waxing and waning of the moon. These principles are like splitting a voucher into two halves that fit together, entirely dependent on intuitive understanding. Future gentlemen, please treasure this heavenly secret.
Appendix: Song of Clarification and Guidance
After the clear and turbid energies are separated, heaven and earth each take their fixed positions, and the sun, moon, and stars interweave纵横 like threads and woof in between. The various stars either move to the palace they like and find comfort or to the palace they are angry or dislike. Based on this, one can determine a person's poverty or wealth. By combining the palace position guarded by the origin god at birth with the annual flow years, one can clearly see the fortune and misfortune, good and bad. To discern the subtle changes between the slightest details, one must know that a person's destiny is originally determined by heaven. Remember the four words: wealth, nobility, poverty, and lowliness. Destiny cycles repeatedly; no one can escape this circle. If you carefully consider the principles of heaven and earth from the beginning, you will have explained the profound meaning of the classic texts.

"If Taiyin is accompanied by凶杀 (malevolent stars) and is flanked by the Earth Star and Ji Du, she may die from difficult childbirth or be injured by stones and wood." "The husband's star sitting on a fortunate position indicates that the husband will be prosperous and distinguished." On the matter of parents being harmed: if born at night and the sun is not visible, the father is inevitably harmed; if born during the day and the moon is obscured, the mother is lost first. On the忌 stars of day and night: during the day, the sun is most忌 when Jupiter covers it; at night, although the moon is bright, it is still afraid of Ji Du to eclipse it. On the number of children: if one wants to determine the number of children, Mercury represents one, Mars represents two, Wood Star represents three, Metal Star represents four, and Earth Star represents five. As long as these stars are in their proper positions, one can count the number of children by fingers. On the organs corresponding to the five elements: the stomach belongs to earth, the liver belongs to wood, the kidney belongs to water, the lung belongs to metal, and the heart belongs to fire. Once the heart fire is activated, it affects the whole body; when the five bright stars attack each other, diseases will come to disturb.

"Ji and Yuebo causing mutual interference lead to short life; if the sun and moon once deviate from their normal paths, calamities may arise." "Success and failure depend on the sun and moon being the main factors of a person's destiny. Those whose sun and moon deviate from their usual positions often experience many successes and failures in their lives. If the body palace and destiny palace are placed at the boundary of two palaces, being adopted by others or leaving the family lineage is predetermined. Regarding the ruling stars: those born at night take the moon as the ruling star, those born in spring take the wood star, those in summer take the fire star, those in the day take the sun star, those in autumn take the metal star, and those in winter take the water star. In months when earth is strong, the earth star is used. Careful analysis will reveal the fortune and misfortune clearly, worth a thousand gold."

If she comes from a wealthy family, she will certainly marry into a noble family. Discussing禄 and 驿马: Female destinies favor禄 star rather than 驿马. Those with 驿马 often have a tendency towards promiscuity. If she is born with "horse biting flower," meaning The Post-horse and Taohua are together, she will marry young before reaching adulthood. Discussing Metal and Water: Female destinies dislike seeing Metal and Water stars. Those with clear Metal and Water often rely on the powerful; such people have beauty like jade, charm like flowers, and are alluring, yet their behavior resembles that of a prostitute.

Discussing Gold and Water: Women do not like to see Gold and Water together; these are either the stars to be avoided or the most powerful凶 stars. Once the evil stars of the year also join the命宫, there will be a prediction of death during childbirth.

Discussing the conjunction of the golden star, the water star, and the moon孛: if a woman sees these three stars together, it is natural for her to remarry three times; if the Xianchi and Taohua are also accompanied by the water star and the moon孛, then she will have continuous passion and emotional turmoil day and night. Discussing the migration and husband stars: a woman should also look at the migration宫. If the migration宫 is strong, her fortune will naturally be suitable; if the husband star is powerful, her husband will be noble and distinguished, and she will certainly become a distinguished lady, bringing honor to her family. Discussing the moon孛 and purple qi in the fifth宫: if the fifth宫, which represents children, has the moon孛 and purple qi, it is considered favorable for having daughters; however, it is even more unfortunate if the seventh宫, which represents the spouse, has its main star in a weak position, leading to the husband's death and the child's misfortune, and the woman will have to live a long life as a widow.

Discussing the Gold and Water孛 with Bathing: A woman's destiny is approached by the planet Venus, the planet Mercury, and the Moon孛, all converging on her命宫 and身宫. Her nature tends to be licentious; if the Bathing position is in between, she will leave home, wander about, and end up in the brothel world. Discussing the Gold, Wood, and Purple Qi: A woman prefers the planet Venus, the planet Jupiter, and Purple Qi, which can bring prosperity to her husband and give birth to a noble son. She often gains advantages. If these are found in the official position and the fortune virtue宫, she will surely be granted the honor of a phoenix crown and flowing robes.
Discussing the planet Water Star and Purple Qi: Women are most afraid of encountering the Water Star and Purple Qi, which harm their husbands and children, and they have no one to rely on throughout their lives; if Kongwang and Huagai are in between, they will enter the Buddhist monastery early in life. Discussing the planet Gold, Fire, and Luo: The Gold Star, Fire Star, and Luo are inherently inauspicious, causing illness during childbirth at a young age; if Xianchi and Huagai also appear, they will constantly come and go, replacing one another. Zhang Guo's School of Astral Destiny Volume Six · The Assignment of the Original Principle, annotated by Zheng Xicheng
In the remote antiquity of the primeval chaos, the clear and turbid energies had not yet separated, and heaven and earth were chaotic like a single egg. The essence energy and the spirit energy accumulated to their peak, manifested and coagulated into form, thus giving rise to human beings. Although the two principles, four images, three components, and the five phases were already present, people did not understand their true nature, and lived within them without knowing how to utilize them. At that time, yin and yang each occupied their proper position, winds and thunder stirred, generating all things, yet humans were right before them but remained unaware. Until the emergence of the sage, who discerned the river chart carried by the dragon horse and established laws and regulations for great use, and also created writing based on the patterns on the tortoise's back, people then came to know the brilliant light of the five stars and the radiant glow of the myriad celestial bodies. Thus, they divided the stars into the directions of heaven and earth, matched the human body with the numbers of heaven and earth, and from there, the prophecies of calamity and auspiciousness, good fortune and evil were explained.
Human life is nurtured between Heaven and Earth, covered and supported by the waters of Kan and the fire of Li, encompassing everything on a large scale and possessing all things on a small scale. The above discusses the origin of various stars. Once the heavenly stems are formed, their energy gathers at the position of "Chong Xun." Chong Xun refers to the position where the stem's fortune lies. For example, the stem Jia has its fortune in寅, so寅 is Chong Xun, and the planet of wood is the master of Chong Xun. The stem Yi has its fortune in卯, so the planet of fire is the master of fortune, and so on. Each heavenly stem returns to its own fortune position, and thus its energy naturally gathers. Therefore, when discussing auspicious stars related to heavenly stems, the focus is on their fortune and honor.
Once the earthly branches are established, the origin god resides in the "year chariot." The year chariot refers to the palace where the master of the year resides. For example, in the year of the rat (zi), the year chariot is zi, and the planet Saturn is the master of the year chariot. The master of the year is the most respected among allInauspicious Sha (malevolent stars), and the stars are the leaders of all deities. All the chaotic malevolent stars among the celestial bodies must obey its command. Therefore, when discussing earthly branches, the master of the year is considered the origin god. Thus, one must use the official star and the birth palace to determine the "three yuan." The three yuan refer to the three stars: heaven yuan, earth yuan, and human yuan. These are calculated using the "five tiger遁" method in the birth palace and the official palace. For example, in the year of Jia or Ji, the calculation starts from Bingyin; in the year of Yi or Geng, it starts from Wuyin; in the year of Bing or Xin, it starts from Gengyin; and so on for the rest.
After determining the Yuanchen, we proceed to discuss the 'Nine Matters'. Yuanchen refers to the birth year; the Nine Matters include Zhu, Luo, the three limits, four elements, time stars, and the main destiny. The three limits, for example, for those born in the years of Shen-Zi-Chen, if born during the day, the planets used in the initial, middle, and final limits are the planet of earth, water, and wood respectively; for those born in the years of Yin-Wu-Xu, if born during the day, the planets used in the initial, middle, and final limits are the sun, wood, and earth respectively; for those born in the years of Si-You-Chou, if born during the day, the planets used in the initial, middle, and final limits are the planet of metal, the moon, and fire respectively; for those born in the years of Hai-Mao-Wei, if born during the day, the planets used in the initial, middle, and final limits are the planet of fire, metal, and the moon respectively. If born at night, the original middle limit planet is moved up to serve as the initial limit planet.
The four elements, or four yuan, are Ren yuan, Shou yuan, Lu yuan, and Ma yuan. The classic text says: Ma yuan indicates prestige, Lu yuan indicates official rank, and Ren yuan is determined by the matching of the heavenly stem of the birth year, which is without doubt. Shou yuan can only be determined from the nayin sound element of the birth year. The key is that they must fall in a strong palace and be able to follow the life cycle. "Time" refers to the current ruling star, and "destiny" refers to the ruler of the destiny palace. Birth and overcoming are the fundamental factors of fortune and misfortune: generally speaking, if a star is born to me, it is auspicious; if it overcomes me, it is inauspicious. Facing and backing are the fundamental factors of prestige and low status: if a good star is behind me and faces me, it indicates prestige; if it is in front of me and faces away from me, it indicates low status. If a bad star is behind me and faces me, it indicates misfortune; if it is in front of me and faces away from me, it indicates good fortune.
First, we must examine the twelve key terms: clarity and darkness, rising and sinking, smoothness and obstruction, decline and strength, covering and eroding, conflict and control. Each of these terms is crucial. In the daytime, the sun is bright and the moon is dark; at night, the sun is dark and the moon is bright. The dark one is most undesirable if it is guarding the命宫 or acting as the命主. The sun is considered bright when it is in one of the six yang positions, but after entering the 未 position, it turns dark. The moon is considered bright when it is in one of the six yin positions, but after entering the 丑 position, it turns dark. The sun, Jupiter, Saturn, and Mercury are bright during the day, while the moon, Mars, Venus, and Rahu are bright at night; the opposite is considered dark.
The sun rises in the east and prefers to be born during the hours of寅, 卯, 辰, 巳, and 午; the moon rises in the west and prefers to be born during the hours of 酉, 戌, 亥, and 子: this is called "rising." When a star that rises is in charge of one's destiny and is joined by an auxiliary star, it brings good fortune. When the sun sets in the west, it is called "sinking." For example, someone born at 卯 in the fourth month is likely to have a short life, except when the sun is in 戌. The five stars move from north to west and from south to east, which is called "moving in the correct direction." Stars moving in the correct direction face forward; the opposite is called "moving in the wrong direction," and stars moving in the wrong direction face backward. One must first determine the position of the body palace and the destiny palace before distinguishing whether the stars are facing or turning away, and whether they are in favorable aspects or not. It is not correct to assume that moving in the correct direction is always auspicious and moving in the wrong direction is always inauspicious.
The concept of prosperity and decline refers to the strength of elements in different seasons. Wood is prosperous in spring, metal in autumn, earth in the earth months, fire in summer, and water in winter. Any element falling in the positions of growth, capping, officialdom, or prosperity is considered prosperous. Earth is declining in spring, metal in summer, wood in autumn, and fire in winter. Any element falling in the positions of decline, illness, death, extinction, tomb, fetal stage, or nourishment is considered declining. The self, the destiny, and the stars used should be prosperous rather than declining. Only those that have ascended to their own palace and reside in their own domain are not judged by decline.
When the lunar nodes, Luo Hou and Ji Du, block the light of stars, it is called "yǎn" (covering). When the sun and moon meet at new moon or full moon, eclipses occur. On the exact moment of new moon, it is inauspicious to have the命宫 (destiny palace) located in the four star positions of Xu, Xing, Fang, and Mao, which belong to the day. On the exact moment of full moon, it is inauspicious to have the命宫 located in the four star positions of Wei, Zhang, Xin, and Bi, which belong to the moon. Even without involvement of evil stars, there is still a risk of shortening life. However, if there are stars guiding and accompanying within three degrees before or after the sun or moon, or if auspicious stars support from the three directions or opposite palace, it may indicate wealth and honor. Therefore, eclipses should not be universally considered as ominous.
Whenever a star that controls me appears in the opposite palace, it is called "chong" (conflict). For example, if the Jupiter is in the Chou palace and the Metal star is in the Wei palace, they control each other across palaces. When a star that controls and harms the main star of the native's birth chart or the main star of the body palace, it is called "zhi" (restraint). For example, if the Metal is the main star of the native's birth chart and the Luo Hui and Fire stars come to control it, or if the Tai Yin is the main star of the body palace and the Earth star and Ji Du come to harm it, these are cases of zhi. However, if the star being controlled is originally a hostile or harmful star, then this conflict and restraint can actually be beneficial. Next, we need to examine the twelve terms: "Chao" (face), "Gong" (support), "Jia" (flank), "Fu" (assist), "Fen" (divide), "Hui" (converge), "Yin" (lead), "Cong" (follow), "Jie" (interrupt), "Lou" (leak), "Shou" (guard), and "Qi" (diverge). Each of these terms must be carefully considered.
Facing me is called "Chao," and those that surround me together are called "Gong." "Chao" refers to the position directly facing my body and life, while "Gong" refers to the positions in the Triple Harmony directions. Those closely on the left and right are called "Jia," and those closely in front and behind are called "Fu." When RuoHou and JiDu divide the stars into two groups, it is called "Fen," and when the stars gather together, it is called "Hui." Those before me are called "Yin," and those after me are called "Cong." Those that come first are called "Ying," and those that follow later are called "Song." Those separated by a palace or degree are called "Bei," and those in the seventh palace are called "Dui." When RuoHou and JiDu block the path before and after my body and life palace, it is called "Jie." If there is a good star outside the blocking line and it does not face away from me, it is called "Lou," and together they are called "JieLou." The position where my body and life reside is called "Shou," and the boundary between the twelve palaces is called "Qi."
All stars that are in the host's native degree should be deeply rooted in their own palace, and should not be exactly at the boundary between two palaces. If a star is located between two palaces, it is mostly indicative of a lowly official or servant; if not, it is likely to be a child from a secondary wife, or else it often indicates frequent moving, adoption, separation from the family, and hard work. If at this time there are also auspicious stars such as the禄 star or the Nobleman star supporting and flanking it, then the previous interpretation does not apply, and instead it indicates wealth and status. Only after this should one use the overall pattern to assess the degree of wealth and status. The above discussion refers to the fundamental nature of all stars. To examine the wealth and status of a person's destiny, one must carefully analyze the pattern and trace its root and development.
When the sun and moon are in conjunction with the命宫 and also in a favorable position, such a person is certainly not an ordinary individual. Here is a general interpretation of various patterns. For example, if the sun and moon are in conjunction with the命宫, or if they are in conjunction with the official position and fortune virtue sectors, or if they are flanking the official position and fortune virtue sectors, these are not the destinies of common people. If both the body palace and the命宫 are stationed in the official position and fortune virtue sectors, then it is the destiny of a superior noble. If the stars representing the body and the命 are located in the official position and fortune virtue sectors, or if the rulers of the official position and fortune virtue sectors are stationed in the body and命 sectors, then the person holds a high position and enjoys great honor. If further, the heavenly path and earthly thread, the post-horse come to support, and the handle of the ladle, nobleman, Tang symbol, and national seal are stationed on both sides to attend, it is a very auspicious situation.
One will ultimately attain a substantial salary of ten thousand measures and hold the authority of eight seats. Such a person will certainly govern the state from the position of eight seats, initiating new enterprises. They will also be among the Three Stars, harmonizing the state affairs and achieving great accomplishments. Even if they lose their position and the right time, they will become esteemed figures in the Buddhist community. If their worldly attachments remain, they will certainly be high-ranking officials wearing purple robes and red official garments. Anyone who matches the above mentioned stars, even if they are born at an inauspicious time and cannot hold an official position, will still be a person of high moral integrity and virtue, someone who drags along red official robes and wears purple sashes.
Fortune and Virtue stars are joined together with the Official Star, and the three elements of Heaven, Earth, and Humanity all converge in one place. There is no harm or conflict, nor any loss or damage, so this person will certainly not be of low status or poverty. When the Fortune Star and the Official Star both support the body and destiny palace, and the Heaven, Earth, and Humanity elements all come together, without any harmful stars or evil influences to damage, this person is certainly not ordinary. The Fortune Star and the Official Star follow each other, and the Palace of Land and the Palace of Wealth are both prosperous and strong, so wealth can be called unparalleled, and the land can be connected in a continuous manner. When the Fortune and Virtue stars and the Official Star all guard and illuminate the body and destiny, and the Palace of Land and the Palace of Wealth are both prosperous and meet with favorable conditions, they are in the right position and have the right command, so their wealth will certainly surpass that of Tao Zhu Gong.
If the Four Losses come to invade and the eight palaces' stars fall into empty and fallen positions, it will certainly lead to the destruction of ancestral property, the collapse of the family fortune, lifelong poverty. The so-called eight palaces refer to the main stars of the body palace,命宫, field and house palace, wealth palace, official career palace, fortune virtue palace, wife and concubine palace, and children palace. The Four Losses refer to Great Loss, Minor Loss, Heaven Loss, and Earth Loss. If these four losses are stationed in the field and house palace and wealth palace, and the stars of official career, fortune virtue, body, and命宫 all fall into empty and fallen positions, it will certainly indicate the destruction of ancestral property, the collapse of family fortune, loss of wealth, robbery, constant toil and hardship, and lifelong poverty. When a person's destiny encounters this situation, they will certainly live a life of constant toil and achieve nothing, ending up in perpetual poverty.
Roluohu and Jidu are stars in the sky that mark the beginning and end of the intersection, and they are specifically used for interception. The following discusses the proper positions of Ruohu and Jidu. The two stars Ruohu and Jidu represent the yin and yang of heaven. The beginning of the intersection is Ruohu, and the middle of the intersection is Jidu. Ruohu is the star at the beginning of heaven, and Jidu is the star at the end of heaven. The two stars move opposite each other, intercepting all other stars. When Ruohu and Jidu are in Zi and Wu, they divide the entire sky into left and right halves, each consisting of five palaces. The sun is in the east, and the moon is in the west. When Ruohu and Jidu intercept the命宫 (destiny palace) before and after, with the Kuai star and the three yuan stars leading in front and following behind, these are considered as patterns. When Ruohu and Jidu are in Si and Hai, it is called 'Qian and Kun establish positions'; when they are in Yin and Shen, it is called 'yin and yang at both gates'; when they are in Chen, Xu, Chou, and Wei, the four cardinal directions, it is called 'head and tail spanning the sky'; when they are in Zi, Wu, Mao, and You, the four main directions, it is called 'yin and yang in proper position': these are all major patterns.
Roluohou and Jidu are located in the Zi and Wu mansions, dividing the entire circle into left and right halves, each consisting of five mansions. This is called 'middle division'. On the left side are the five mansions: Wei, Shen, You, Xu, and Hai, while on the right side are the five mansions: Chou, Yin, Mao, Chen, and Si. This is referred to as 'five fives'. The sun is located in the east at the Mao mansion, and the moon is located in the west at the You mansion, which is called 'sun in the east and moon in the west'. However, it is also necessary for the five stars to follow the sun and the purple qi and moon孛 to follow the moon. The natal mansion should be placed in the Zi, Wu, Mao, or You mansions to be considered proper, which is called the 'head and tail yin and yang in the four cardinal directions' pattern. If the natal mansion follows the sun, this is called 'five luminaries in a line', and they can be considered together.
The celestial bodies Luo Hou and Ji Du are obstructing the命宫, both in front and behind. Additionally, the魁星 and the three yuan stars must be present, with the魁星 leading in front and the three yuan stars following behind. For example, if the身宫 and命宫 are in the same palace and the timing and position are favorable, then there is a魁星 and a three yuan star, one located in front of the命宫, separated by one palace, leading the way, and the other located behind the命宫, separated by one palace, following closely. This is called "前后三三魁元引从." Alternatively, if they are located on the left and right or front and back of the命宫, with one leading and one following, it is considered a great auspicious configuration. One should also examine how the relevant stars relate to the current period: if there is only a leading star without a following one, prosperity and fame will come first; if there is only a following star without a leading one, fortune will manifest later. In general, whenever auspicious stars are present in front, behind, or around the命宫 to lead or follow, this principle can be applied universally.
Rohini and Ketu are located in the positions of Si and Hai, which represents the positioning of Heaven and Earth. All the stars are evenly distributed on both sides to jointly honor the heavenly court. The Hai position is called the heavenly court; the Hai palace itself does not have any stars, but the destiny palace is placed on Hai. The eleven luminaries are positioned in various palaces to guard the Hai position, forming this pattern. However, the palaces where each luminary resides should be in their native territory and receive support and assistance, which is considered favorable and is treated as great fortune. If they are instead restrained, or if they are opposite or fallen, it is called 'star困', and the fortune should be reduced accordingly.
Ruo hou ji du fen ju yin shen, that is, "yin and yang two gates," which enclose all the stars to pay homage to the imperial palace. From寅 to 未 is the yang gate, and from申 to 丑 is the yin gate. The午 palace is the imperial palace. If the natal palace is at午, the seven planets are supported by the three positions of卯, 辰, and 巳 in the southeast, while the four other celestial bodies surround the three positions of酉, 戌, and 亥 in the northwest. Ruo and Ji are located at the two ends of寅 and 申, while Zi qi and Yue bo each move separately without mixing. This kind of destiny is very prosperous. Even if Zi qi and Yue bo mix with the seven planets, it is only a minor flaw and will not affect the overall situation.
Rohini and Ketu falling in the positions of Chen, Xu, Chou, and Wei is called 'Shouwei Hengtian'; when they fall in Zi, Wu, Mao, and You, it is called 'Yinyang Ju Zheng'. 'Shouwei' refers to the two stars of Rohini and Ketu, while 'Yinyang' refers to the sun and moon. From the perspective of the heavens and earth's original positions, Zi, Wu, Mao, and You are called the four cardinal directions, while Chen and Xu, Chou and Wei, Yin and Shen, and Si and Hai are called the four cardinal directions. However, from the perspective of the person's命宫 (life palace), even the positions of the four cardinal directions can be considered as the four cardinal directions.
Generally, when the four stars are in the positions of Zi, Wu, Mao, and You, it is called "middle division and cross-cutting"; when they are in the positions of Yin, Shen, Si, and Hai, it is called "entering Kun from Qian"; and when they are in the positions of Chen, Xu, Chou, and Wei, it is called "head and tail spanning the sky." The previous case refers to when both the four stars and the sun and moon are in the positions of Zi, Wu, Mao, and You, and the命宫 is also in one of these positions, which naturally counts as a favorable configuration. However, if the命宫 is in the Hai position with the RuoHou star, the TaiYin is in Shen, the Ji is in Si, and the TaiYang is in Yin, it is also considered favorable. The same principle applies to the positions of Chen, Xu, Chou, and Wei. In summary, as long as these four stars each occupy strong positions and are in favorable houses, and benefit the命主, then they will certainly achieve high official rank and receive a thousand measures of grain asofficial stipend.
