又如日躔水，水躔日，或孛日同躔限至星昴度必發。星乃午宮正垣之位，日昴為酉宮正垣之金，若日水度中有土計火羅減力。蓋土計傷水而火羅爆水。

If the Sun and Water degrees contain the Saturn, the Count, the Mars, or the Rahu, their power will be weakened, because Saturn and the Count harm Water, while Mars and Rahu dry up Water.

且如月躔土、月躔氐女胃柳土度，土躔月，土躔心危畢張月宿，或計月同躔限至四月度皆死。此謂土月互躔乃限主被傷也。有金木水孛在土月二度中可解，土月度者即土月所躔之度者也。

For example, if the "Too Yin" is in the earth degree, that is, in the degrees of Di, Nu, Wei, and Liu; at the same time, the "earth star" is also in the moon degree, that is, in the degrees of Xin, Wei, Bi, and Zhang; or if the "Ji Du" is in the same degree as the "Too Yin," then when the limit reaches these four degrees, it will be fatal. The so-called earth and moon degrees refer to the degrees where the earth star and the too yin are respectively located.

金解則是洩土生月水，木解則是疏土助月水，水孛解則是抗土助月水，大凡夏末秋初金令禍輕，惟畢月度怕火，羅氣犯之即死若秋令尤重。畢月度兼酉金看秋令生有月光故主死。

Using the planet of metal, it drains the earth's energy and generates the water of Taiyin; using the planet of wood, it clears blockages in the earth and supports the water of Taiyin; using the planets of water and Yuebo, it resists the earth's strength and supports the water of Taiyin. If the planets of LuoHou and ZiQi are involved, death is certain. If this occurs during the autumn season, the situation becomes even more serious. The month of Bixu should also consider the metal in the Western Palace. Those born in the autumn season have strong moonlight, so they are destined for death.

又如月躔金、月躔亢牛婁鬼金度，金躔月、金躔心危畢張月宿，或金月同躔至月度必發。此言金月互生乃限元受資也。若金月二度中有火羅土計減力，金見火羅則金受制月見土，計則月受傷，如金見土計則洩土生金，金能助月。倘冬生月寒金冷又非所宜也。

For example, if the 'Too Yin' is located in the metal degree, meaning it is in the positions of Kangle, Niu, Lou, and Gui; at the same time, the 'Jin Star' is also located in the moon degree, meaning it is in the positions of Xin, Wei, Bi, and Zhang; or if the metal and moon are in the same degree; then when the limit of the path reaches the moon degree, there will certainly be success. This means that the metal and moon support each other, which is to say the origin god of the path receives assistance. However, if the metal and moon degrees contain the 'Fire Star', 'Luohou', 'Earth Star', or 'Jidi', the strength will be reduced: metal is restrained by fire and Luohou, and the moon is damaged by earth and Jidi; but if metal meets earth and Jidi, it actually drains earth to generate metal, and metal can also assist the too yin. However, this combination is not suitable for those born in winter, as the moon is cold and the metal is cold in winter.

已上所論者乃限主互躔逢生，限主互躔值克、前已定矣。又有限主互躔克彼，限主互躔生他克彼者則為力損。生他者則曰洩氣，凡限行至此，二度皆無益於我，如行限主入垣升殿，則又無所不利矣。

The above discusses two situations: when the main stars are in mutual aspect and encounter a beneficial relationship, and when they are in mutual aspect and encounter a conflicting relationship, which have already been explained. There are also cases where the main stars are in mutual aspect and go on to harm others, and cases where they are in mutual aspect and go on to benefit others. When the main stars go on to harm others, it is called a loss of strength; when they go on to benefit others, it is called a leakage of energy. In all cases where the limit is reached in these two situations, it is not beneficial to oneself. However, if the main star of the limit is in its proper position and ascendant palace, then there will be no adverse effects.

如氣傷木，氣躔角斗奎井木度，或木氣同躔限至木度決死，謂之餘奴犯主，有水孛金在木度可解。四木度也。水孛則能生木，見金則能制氣。又如秋月斗角井度最忌，奎度可解餘月亦同。此論氣犯限主及行四木度也。

For instance, if "Purple Qi" harms the "Wood Star": when Purple Qi is located in the four Wood degrees of Jiao, Dou, Kui, and Jing, or when Wood and Purple Qi are in the same degree, and the limit moves into a Wood degree, death is certain. This is called "Yu Nu Fa Zhǔ" — the four remaining stars are servants, and the seven principal stars are the masters; the servants reverse the harm to the masters. If the "Water Star," "Moon孛," or "Metal Star" is located in a Wood degree, it can resolve the issue, referring to these four Wood degrees. Water and孛 can nourish Wood, and seeing Metal can control Purple Qi. Additionally, in autumn months, the three degrees of Dou, Jiao, and Jing are most to be avoided, while Kui degree can resolve it; the same applies to other months. This refers to Purple Qi conflicting with the limit master and moving through the four Wood degrees.

如孛傷水，孛躔箕壁參軫水度，或水孛同躔限至水度決死，謂之餘奴犯主，惟參壁箕度忌之尤甚。犯軫禍輕當水敗失經背令不忌，有木氣土計在水度可解。四水度也。木氣能洩孛土，計能制孛。此論孛犯限主及行四水度也。

For instance, if the Moon孛 injures the Water Star: when the Moon孛 is in the four water degrees of Ji, Bi, Shen, and Zhen, or when Water and孛 are in the same degree, and the limit moves to a water degree, it will result in death. This is also called "Yunuo committing an offense against the master." Among these, the degrees of Shen, Bi, and Ji are particularly inauspicious; an opposition to the Zhen degree brings less calamity. If the Water energy is weak or out of season, then there is no need to be cautious. If the Jupiter, Purple Qi, Saturn, or Ji Du are in the water degree, they can resolve the issue. These refer to the four water degrees. The Wood and Purple Qi can dissipate the孛 energy, while Earth and Ji Du can control the Moon孛. This refers to the situation where the Moon孛 conflicts with the limit master and the movement through the four water degrees.

如羅傷火，羅躔尾室觜翼火度，或羅火同躔限至火度決死，謂之餘奴傷主，惟尾室二度極怕遇之，翼度禍輕惟正三四六八九十月忌之為切，有水孛木氣在火度可解，四火度也。水孛克羅木氣生火。此論羅犯限主及行四火度也。

For instance, when 'Rohini' injures 'Mars': If Rohini is in the fire degrees of Wei, Shi, Zi, and Yi, or if Rohini and Mars are in the same degree, then death occurs when the limit reaches the fire degree. This is called 'Yu Nu Injuring the Master'. Among these, the degrees of Wei and Shi are most dangerous, while the degree of Yi has slightly less harm. The months of January, March, April, June, August, September, and October are particularly inauspicious. If 'Jupiter', 'Moon孛', 'Saturn', or 'Purple Qi' are in the fire degrees, they can neutralize the effect. These refer to the four fire degrees mentioned. Water and孛 can overcome Rohini, while Wood and Qi can generate Fire. This refers to the situation where Rohini conflicts with the limit master and passes through the four fire degrees.

如計傷土，計躔氐女胃柳土度，或計土同躔限至土度決死，謂之餘奴傷主，有火羅木氣在土度可解。四土度也。火羅生土木氣制計。此論計犯限主及行四土度也。

For example, if "Jidi" harms "Saturn": Jidi is in the four earth degrees of Shi, Nu, Wei, and Liu, or if Jidi and Saturn are in the same degree, then when the limit moves into an earth degree, death is certain. This is also called "Yunua harms the ruler." If "Mars," "Luohou," "Jupiter," or "Ziqi" are in an earth degree, it can resolve this situation. These refer to the four earth degrees mentioned. Fire and Luohou can generate earth, while wood and Ziqi can control Jidi. This refers to Jidi conflicting with the limit ruler and moving through the four earth degrees.

劃度者餘奴傷主也，傷要傷正度並無諸星相犯，或見流年奴星犯，度必主倒限。假如限行木度木登木殿之中並無火，羅金殺犯度遇流年，紫氣躔度太歲、陽刃、飛刃、劫殺、的殺、天雄、地雌至其宮者必死。餘仿此推、百發百中。

The concept of "划度" refers to the slave stars of the Four Miscellaneous (四余) injuring the main stars of the Seven Regencies (七政). To cause injury, it must occur on the correct degree. Moreover, there are no other stars interfering here. If, however, the slave stars of the current year's stream (流年) come to interfere with this degree, then the person's fate will definitely reverse. For example, when one's limit (行限) reaches the degree of wood (木度), the wood star is exactly ascending its palace (殿位), and there are no harmful stars such as "Fire Star" (火星), "Ruo Hou" (罗睺), or "Metal Star" (金星) in this degree. However, if during the current year's stream, the "Purple Qi" (紫气) is in this degree, and also the "Supreme Age" (太岁), "Yang Blade" (阳刃), "Flying Blade" (飞刃), "Jie Sha" (劫煞), "Shan Sha" (的煞), "Tian Xiong" (天雄), and "Di Ci" (地雌) are in this palace, the person will certainly die. Other situations follow the same pattern, and the prediction will always be accurate.

凡諸星當令怕死、不怕克、只怕洩，如水生木、木生火，我去生他是也。凡一星為禍、諸星皆助定倒限。如金木、木為限主被傷，土計黨殺兼金掌刃的鋒值難，凡日度單羅計木氣犯者，皆當倒限，星虛房昴日度，凡行限度主受傷，宮主亦受傷，逢之倒限。

Whenever a star is in its proper season, it fears death but not being overcome, it only fears being drained.the so-called draining means water nurturing wood, wood nurturing fire, which is me nurturing others. If there is one star causing trouble and the rest of the stars all assist it, then it is definitely a case of reversed destiny. For example, if metal and wood meet, and the wood, which is the main star, is harmed, and if the 'Earth Star' and 'Jitu' join forces to assist the evil influence, and the 'Metal Star' controls Yangren, with the sharp edge star being in a difficult position, it becomes even more dangerous. If the daily degree is attacked by 'Luohou', 'Jitu', 'Earth Star', or 'Ziqi', it is also a case of reversed destiny; the daily degree refers to the stars, Xu, Fang, and Mao constellations. If the ruler of the time degree is injured, and the palace ruler is also injured, this is a case of reversed destiny.

限度主與限宮主俱怕受克，若宮主受傷，度主平靜，但逢刃星合度亦當倒限。無刃不死，若度主受傷，宮主得生但災不死，有刃合宮亦死。重在刃上，且如倒限然須刃星合度，或行刃度皆凶，用事宜詳輕重。有刃則重、無刃則輕。

The rulers of the limit and the degree both fear being attacked. If the ruler of the palace is injured while the ruler of the degree remains unharmed, as long as the Yangren star combines with the original degree, it will still result in a reversal of the limit; without the Yangren star, death does not occur. If the ruler of the degree is injured while the ruler of the palace is saved, then there will be disaster but not death; however, if the Yangren star combines with the original palace, death will still occur. Therefore, the key lies in the Yangren star. Hence, when discussing the reversal of the limit, if the Yangren star combines with the original degree or if the limit reaches the degree of the Yangren star, it indicates danger. In actual case analysis, one should carefully distinguish between the severity: if there is a Yangren star, the situation is more severe; if there is no Yangren star, it is less severe.

凡看命如五星得生必有劃度。如限行木火土金水度，俱無一度受傷、或有餘奴傷主度也。如無劃度只將令星克他星度方可倒限。又無餘奴傷主之度，只看令星克某度者行頂度處亦可言死，且如二十八宿皆要仔細逐一考察，若有一星失陷定見災危。

When examining a person's destiny, if all five stars are supported and nurtured, there must be another degree that can be identified. For example, if the person's life path reaches the degrees of wood, fire, earth, metal, and water, and none of these degrees are harmed, then we should check whether there is a degree that harms the main star. If there is no such degree, then we can only use the current star that is in command to overcome other stars, and this can be judged as a reverse limit. If there is also no degree that harms the main star, then we should look at which degree the current star in command overcomes, and if the life path reaches that peak degree, it can be judged as death. In summary, all twenty-eight constellations should be examined one by one carefully; as long as one star is in a weak or unfavorable position, there will certainly be disaster or danger.

如四木、四金、四土、四日、四月、四火、四水等度倘有一度受傷，一星受克，限至本度非災即危。假如金躔翼火、火躔亢金謂之金強火弱、有災不死。翼是水中之火故弱，亢為金宮之金乃強。又如金躔室火、火躔婁金倒限無疑。室為木宮之火故強，婁乃火中之金乃弱，餘依此例。

If the degrees of four woods, four metals, four earths, four suns, four months, four fires, and four waters are injured or their stars are overcome, when the limit of the life path reaches the corresponding degree, there will be either disaster or danger. For example, if the planet of metal is in the fire degree of the Wings mansion, and the planet of fire is in the metal degree of the Neck mansion, this is called strong metal and weak fire, and the person will suffer disaster but not necessarily die. This is because the fire in the Wings mansion is weak, being in the water palace, while the metal in the Neck mansion is strong, being in the metal palace. Another example is if the planet of metal is in the fire degree of the Encampment mansion, and the planet of fire is in the metal degree of the Bond mansion, this is definitely a reversal of the limit. This is because the fire in the Encampment mansion is strong, being in the wood palace, while the metal in the Bond mansion is weak, being in the fire palace. The rest should be judged in the same way.

水克火、水火同，火躔金、金星金度，凶禍不測，火會土宿禍輕，土星土度，火會木度不妨。木星木度，此論火為限主也。金克木、金木同，木會土、土星土度，反主凶災，木與火同禍輕，火星火度，木躔水宿不妨。水星水度，此論木為限主也。

Water can overcome fire. If water and fire are in the same position, and the "Mars" is in the degree of metal, which is the degree where the planet of metal is located, then calamity is hard to predict. If fire reaches the degree of earth, which is the degree where the planet of earth is located, the disaster is less severe. For example, when earth is the current ruling star, it cannot generate metal; when metal is the current ruling star, it cannot generate water; when water is the current ruling star, it cannot generate wood; when wood is the current ruling star, it cannot generate fire; and when fire is the current ruling star, it cannot generate earth. In such cases, the misfortune brought by malevolent stars cannot be resolved. 四日度論虛日忌木氣犯度，若木火互之可解，冬忌水孛。房日忌水孛犯度，若水氣互之可解。星日忌木氣犯度，又春忌火羅計，夏忌水孛羅。昴日忌火羅犯度，若火土互之可解。

The degree of the mansion of Hairy Head should avoid the influence of fire and Luo; if fire and earth interact with each other, it can be resolved.

四月度論危月忌計氣犯度，有金水互之可解。心月忌計孛犯度，有木氣互之可解。張月忌計羅犯度，春夏怕木氣，有金水互之可解。畢月忌計羅犯度，夏令怕火，有金互之可解。

The month of the Rooftop mansion should avoid the influence of 'Jidi' and 'Ziqi', but can be resolved if 'Jinxing' and 'Shuixing' interact with each other. 四木度論角木忌氣金犯度，夏怕火羅會水孛可解。斗木忌金氣犯度，會水孛可解。奎木忌金氣犯度，春怕水孛。井木忌氣金犯度，夏秋怕金，季月怕土。

Discussing the four wood degrees again. The wood degree of Jiao Xu is disliked by "Zi Qi" and "Jin Xing", it fears "Huo Xing" and "Luo Hou" in summer, and can be resolved by "Shui Xing" and "Yue Bo". The wood degree of Dou Xu is disliked by metal and qi, and can be resolved by water and Bo. The wood degree of Kui Xu is disliked by metal and qi, and fears water and Bo in spring. The wood degree of Jing Xu is disliked by qi and metal, fears Jin Xing in summer and autumn, and fears "Tu Xing" in the months of Chen, Xu, Chou, and Wei.

四火度論尾火忌羅水夏忌土計，卯尾怕水孛羅。室火忌金羅，土計惟秋冬怕水，孛有木氣互之可解。觜火忌土，計孛夏怕水孛為緊。翼火忌土，計孛春怕羅，冬怕水孛、有木氣可解。

四土度論女土忌木氣，見羅計犯度尤凶。氐土忌羅氣，水犯度倒限。胃土忌氣計犯度，更帶刃鋒倒限。柳土忌木氣犯度、冬忌水孛。

Discussing the four earth degrees again. The earth degree of the Girl Mansion is unfavorable when Jupiter and Purple Qi appear; if Rahu and Ji Du invade this degree, it is especially dangerous. The earth degree of the Root Mansion is unfavorable when Rahu and Purple Qi appear; if Jupiter invades this degree, it will reverse the limit. The earth degree of the Stomach Mansion is unfavorable when Purple Qi and Ji Du appear; if accompanied by Yang Ren, it will definitely reverse the limit. 四金度論亢金忌火羅犯度，有土計可解。牛金忌氣、夏忌水孛，八月忌計，季月忌太陽。婁金忌水孛羅犯度，有木氣可解。鬼金忌土計火羅犯度，有氣水互之可解。四水度論箕水忌土計孛犯度、有木可解。壁水忌土計孛羅金倒限，有木氣可解。參水忌土計孛犯度，有金木氣可解。軫水忌土，計犯度倒限。

The four metal degrees: the metal degree of Kangle is disliked by the Mars and Ruo Hou, but can be resolved by the Saturn and Ji Du. The metal degree of Niu is disliked by the Zi Qi, and in summer it is disliked by the Mercury and Yue Bo, in the eighth month it is disliked by Ji Du, and in the four seasons' months it is disliked by the Sun. The metal degree of Lou is disliked by water, Bo, and Luo, but can be resolved by the Jupiter and Zi Qi. The metal degree of Gui is disliked by earth, Ji, fire, and Luo, but can be resolved by Zi Qi and Mercury interacting with each other. Finally, the four water degrees: the water degree of Ji is disliked by earth, Ji, and Bo, but can be resolved by the Jupiter. The water degree of Bi is disliked by earth, Ji, Bo, Luo, and Jin, and if these come into effect, the limit should be reversed, but can be resolved by the wood and Qi. The water degree of Can is disliked by earth, Ji, and Bo, but can be resolved by the Jin, wood, and Qi. The water degree of Zhen is disliked by the Saturn, and if Ji Du comes into effect, the limit should be reversed.

倒限一說盡在捷見限論篇中，然亦有疑難處，有未至其度而死者有之。乃凶在前也，謂之凶迎。或過其度而死者有之，是凶在後也，名為凶送。有當死而不死者有之，有殺無刃故不死。有不當死而死者有之，有刃無殺亦主死。

Regarding the concept of "dàoxiàn" (倒限), the principles have already been fully explained in the essay "Jiejian Xianlun" (捷见限论). However, there are still some doubts. Some people die before reaching a certain stage, which is called "xiōng yíng" (凶迎), meaning the凶险 (danger) appears ahead. Others die after having passed that stage, which is called "xiōng sòng" (凶送), meaning the凶险 lingers behind. There are also cases where someone should have died but did not, which is because they only have煞星 (malevolent stars) but notYangren (Yangren), so they do not die. Conversely, there are cases where someone should not have died but did, which is because they only haveYangren but not煞星, and this also leads to death.

須看陰陽二刃為平。以乙丁己辛癸年為陰刃，以甲丙戊庚壬年為陽刃。更會源流二刃為斷。源者本年刃也，流者行年刃也。凡是不死者，無刃殺豈能傷乎。有刃有殺，決死無疑。

Therefore, both the Yin Blade and the Yang Blade must be considered together to achieve balance. All the Yin heavenly stems, namely Yi, Ding, Ji, Xin, and Gui, have the Yin Blade in their years. All the Yang heavenly stems, namely Jia, Bing, Wu, Geng, and Ren, have the Yang Blade in their years. In addition, both the source and the flow of the Yangren should be examined together. The "source" refers to the Yangren in the native's birth year, while the "flow" refers to the Yangren in the current year. Anyone who is alive must be lacking both the Yangren and the malevolent star; otherwise, who could be harmed? If both the Yangren and the malevolent star are present, death is certain.

經云：晝忌陽刃，夜忌陰刃。陰刃晝行，陽刃夜值，或者不死。有雙刃迎送者，陽刃飛刃，前迎後送。有二刃夾身夾限者，身指命言、左右二刃夾拱是也。有刃星撞沖，撞沖指對照言，刃星克限尤凶。有身投二刃，或命限主坐二刃宮、或二刃星守命限位。

The classics state that those born during the day should avoid the Yang Blade, while those born at night should avoid the Yin Blade. If the Yin Blade occurs during the day or the Yang Blade occurs at night, it may not necessarily lead to death. The harm caused by the Yang Blade can manifest in various patterns: there is the "Double Blades Welcoming and Sending," which refers to the Yang Blade and the Flying Blade coming one after the other, first welcoming and then sending; there is the "Two Blades Surrounding the Body and Limit," where "body" refers to the命宫, and the two Yang Blades are on either side, surrounding it; there is the "Blade Star Colliding and Conflicting," where collision and conflict refer to the opposing palace relationship, and the Yang Blade overcoming the limit is especially dangerous; and there is the "Body Falling into Two Blades," which means either the命主 or the limit主 is seated in two Yang Blade palaces, or the two Yang Blade stars are guarding the命宫 or limit宫 positions.

有宮主受傷、刃星合度，限宮主受克，限度主掌刃亦死。有度主受傷、刃星合宮，限度主受克，限宮有刃亦死。有刃中包殺，殺者克限度星也，又是刃宮刃度。有殺中藏刃同上。

There is also the case where the palace ruler is injured and the Yangren star is conjunct with its own degree: the limit palace ruler is overcome, and the limit degree ruler also holds the Yangren, which also leads to death. There is also the case where the degree ruler is injured and the Yangren star is conjunct with its own palace: the limit degree ruler is overcome, and within the limit palace there is also a Yangren, which also leads to death. There is also the case of 'Yangren containing killing stars', meaning that the killing star is the star that overcomes the limit degree star, and it is located in the Yangren palace and Yangren degree. There is also the case of 'killing star containing Yangren', which follows the same principle, but with the subject and object reversed.

有刃中有刃，刃度逢金，金星主殺，故名刃也。強弱平分，限宮主限度主強者生，弱者死。且如丙戊生人。陽刃在午，飛刃在子，大限行星柳虛女是也。午屬日，子屬土，故以星日、虛日、女土、柳土為刃，度是也。

There is also the case of 'blade within a blade,' which occurs when the degree of Yang Ren meets the 'Jin Xing' (Gold Star); Jin Xing signifies punishment and killing, so it is also called a blade. As for strength and weakness, they are evenly divided: the stronger side among the limit palace and the limit degree will be born, while the weaker side will die. For example, those born in the year of Bing or Wu have their Yang Ren at Wu and their Fei Ren at Zi. When their great limit reaches the constellations Xing, Liu, Xu, and Nu, this is considered. Wu palace belongs to the Sun, and Zi palace belongs to earth, so the four degrees Xing Day, Xu Day, Nu Earth, and Liu Earth are considered the blade degrees.

若星柳虛女度內，有木氣計，即是刃中藏殺。木氣能克土又能蔽日，故謂之殺。或土日度內有金，是謂刃中有刃，對合亦然，四正亦同。

If within the degrees of Xing, Liu, Xu, and Nu there are "Jupiter," "Zi Qi," and "Ji Du," then it is called "Ren Zhong Cang Sha"; because Jupiter and Zi Qi can both overcome Earth and also obscure the brilliance of the Sun, so they are called sha. Alternatively, if within the Earth degree or the Sun degree there is "Jupiter," then it is called "Ren Zhong Ren." The same applies to situations where the opposite palace is in harmony, and the same reasoning applies to the four cardinal positions of Zi, Wu, Mao, and You.

又如甲乙庚辛生人，甲年陽刃在卯，飛刃在酉，乙年陰刃在辰，飛刃在戌，庚年陽刃在酉，飛刃在卯，辛年陰刃在戌、飛刃在辰。行火金二度，蓋卯戌屬火，辰酉屬金，乃刃星是也。又尾室觜翼亢牛婁鬼是刃度也。若水孛火羅關攝是謂殺中藏刃，若此者皆忌之。

For example, those born in the years of Jia, Yi, Geng, and Xin: for Jia year, the Yang Blade is in Mao and the Flying Blade is in You; for Yi year, the Yin Blade is in Chen and the Flying Blade is in Xu; for Geng year, the Yang Blade is in You and the Flying Blade is in Mao; for Xin year, the Yin Blade is in Xu and the Flying Blade is in Chen. These people should be cautious when their life stages reach the fire and metal degrees, because Mao and Xu belong to fire, and Chen and You belong to metal, which are exactly where their blade stars are located. Specifically, the four fire degrees of Wei, Shi, Zui, and Yi, and the four metal degrees of Kangle, Niu, Lou, and Gui are the blade degrees. If there is also the influence of the Water Star, the Moon孛, the Fire Star, and the Luo Hui restraining or blocking these, it is called "kill with hidden blade," and such situations should be avoided.

又如丁己壬癸生人，丁己年陰刃在未，飛刃在午，壬年陽刃在子，飛刃在午，癸年陰刃在丑，飛刃在未。正是土月為刃，子丑屬土未乃太陰。若土月度內，氐女胃柳，土度心危，畢張月度。帶木氣土計亦謂刃中包殺，十有九死也。

For example, those born in the years of Ding, Ji, Ren, and Gui: in the year of Ding and Ji, the Yin Blade is in Wei and the Flying Blade is in Wu; in the year of Ren, the Yang Blade is in Zi and the Flying Blade is in Wu; in the year of Gui, the Yin Blade is in Chou and the Flying Blade is in Wei. These people are precisely those whose Blades are determined by the Earthly degree and the monthly degree, because Zi and Chou belong to Earth, and Wei belongs to Taiyin. If within the Earthly degree and the monthly degree—Earthly degree refers to Di, Nu, Wei, Liu, and monthly degree refers to Xin, Wei, Bi, Zhang—there is also the presence of 'Wood Star,' 'Purple Qi,' 'Earth Star,' and 'Ji Du,' this is called 'Blade containing killing,' and out of ten such cases, nine will die.

二刃若然來夾命，陽刃飛刃夾命夾限，強弱宮中夭折定，宮度主強，宮度主弱。還他強者是真機，宮度主強者生，弱者必入黃泉境。宮度主弱者死，宮主受傷刃合度。宮主受傷刃合度死、度主受傷刃宮死、度主受傷刃合宮死，更嫌刃殺兩同來。

If two Yang Ren come to sandwich the命宫, meaning the Yang Blade and Fei Ren both sandwich the命宫 or the limit宫, then whether there is an early death depends on the strength of the宫度主: if the宫度主 is strong, it can give birth; if the宫度主 is weak, it will definitely lead to death. The key is to clearly determine which side is stronger. Additionally, if the宫主 is injured and the Yang Ren combines with the original degree, it will result in death; if the degree主 is injured and the Yang Ren is in the original宫, it will also result in death; if the degree主 is injured and the Yang Ren combines with the original宫, it will also lead to death. The most dangerous situation is when the Yang Ren and the malevolent star arrive together.

宮度主傷遇刃殺死，迎送關中難值取。厄星值難迎送者死，刃合度兮又合身。限行刃度刃星守命。夾限夾身看首尾。刃星夾命夾限必死，傷前沖後暗合來。前後俱刃傷限克命，四正互加皆不許。四正刃星互加亦死。

If both the palace ruler and the degree ruler are injured and meet the Yangren and evil stars, death is certain; at the critical point of facing and sending off evil influences, it is hardest to escape by chance. If the evil star is exactly in the position of the difficult star and forms a facing and sending off situation, death is inevitable. If the Yangren combines with both the current degree and the destiny and body, this means that the limit is on the Yangren degree, and the Yangren star is also guarding the destiny palace. As for being sandwiched between limits and the body, one should look at the beginning and end: if the Yangren star is sandwiching the destiny palace or the limit palace before and after, death is certain. The phrase "injury in front and conflict in back, with an implicit combination" means that both front and back are Yangren, injuring the limit and conflicting with the destiny palace. If Yangren stars are alternately placed on the four cardinal positions of Zi, Wu, Mao, and You, it is also not allowed, and encountering such a situation will result in death.

火羅同木曰飛灰，木洩氣，夏月限木死莫疑，頂度死。木氣不宜居土度，土受克，限經土宿有災危，頂度死。水孛經躔犯火宿，火受克，限入火躔當損壽，頂度死。金躔見氣火羅同，金受克，限屬金躔人莫救，頂度死。土計同躔水宿看，水受克，數逢水上為凶斷，頂度死。金星秉令木之躔，木受克，限度木躔應住筭，頂度死。

The planet Mars and the node Rahu are both in the same constellation of wood, which is called "Flying Ash," because wood nourishes fire and the wood energy is completely drained. Those born in the summer months who reach their limit in the wood constellation will certainly die, even if they are not in the original degree, but in the opposite degree, they will also die. The purple qi belongs to wood and is not suitable to be in the earth constellation, as earth is overcome by wood. If the limit passes through such an earth constellation, there will be disaster and danger, and the opposite degree will also result in death. The planet Venus and the moon孛 are both water, and if their path invades the fire constellation, fire is overcome by water, so when the limit reaches such a fire constellation, life span will be shortened, and the opposite degree will also result in death. If the planet Saturn and the node Ji Du are both in the water constellation, water is overcome by earth, so when the limit reaches such a water constellation, it is considered extremely dangerous, and the opposite degree will also result in death. If the planet Venus is in its prime and appears in the wood constellation, wood is overcome by metal, so when the limit reaches such a wood constellation, life span will end, and the opposite degree will also result in death.

水孛同躔水不利，奴犯主死。計土同水又不忌。二殺不攻一。木氣同躔木受殃，奴犯主死。孛水同羅火不畏。一殺不攻二。土計同躔土受虧，奴犯主死。水孛同火又無疑，二殺不攻一。火羅同居金神喜，二殺不攻一。水土孛同危解厄。一殺不攻二。氣火羅能損金宿，氣木黨惡火羅克我，土計水孛原無咎。土計化殺水孛制殺，箕軫壁水木火垣土，計逢之應損壽。受克即危。

The planet Water Star and the planet Moon孛 are both located on the Water Mansion, which is unfavorable for the Water Mansion, this is called the subordinate offending the master, leading to death; if the planet Ji Du's earth also joins them, it is not necessary to be cautious, because two killing stars are opposing each other, they will not attack one place exclusively. The planet Purple Qi is located on the Wood Mansion, causing the Wood Mansion to suffer, which is also the subordinate offending the master, leading to death; but if the planets Moon孛, Water Star, and the planet Luo Hui's fire all arrive together, there is no need to fear, because one killing star cannot overcome two. The planet Earth Star and Ji Du are both located on the Earth Mansion, causing the Earth Mansion to suffer, which is again the subordinate offending the master; if the planets Water Star, Moon孛, and fire also arrive, there is no need to be suspicious, because two killing stars fighting will not attack one place. The planets Water Star and Luo Hui are both located on the Metal Mansion, and the Metal God is actually happy, which is also the principle that two killing stars do not attack one place. The planets Water Star, Earth Star, and Moon孛 are all gathered on the mansion of the Roof, which can instead relieve the calamity, because one killing star cannot overcome two killing stars. The planets Purple Qi, Water Star, and Luo Hui can damage the Metal Mansion: Purple Qi belongs to wood, and it joins with evil stars, while the fire and Luo Hui come to overcome my metal; at this time, the planets Earth Star and Ji Du, and the planets Water Star and Moon孛 arriving are originally not wrong, because Earth and Ji Du can transform killing stars, and Water and Moon孛 can control killing stars. The mansions of Ji Water, Zhen Water, and Bei Water are located in the areas of the Wood Enclosure, Fire Enclosure, and Earth Enclosure respectively; if Ji Du arrives and meets them, it will cause a reduction in lifespan—any mansion that is attacked in its own degree is in a dangerous situation.

參度本嫌孛與氣，逢奴遇洩，土重亦能為禍主。受克亦凶。危張心怕土計臨，月受傷，氣至張危猶可畏。兼官論，心張二宿怕羅躔，畢月嫌羅氣計穿。申怕計穿酉嫌氣羅，星虛二宿怕木氣，兼宮看，夏月之時又不然。火旺化殺，星度昴日火羅忌，火羅犯日，不問四時皆不利，鬼婁又怕火羅侵。金受傷，夏月亢牛同一例，同上斷。

The degree of Shui (Water) is naturally wary of "Yuebo" (Moon孛) and "Ziqi" (Purple Qi): encountering Yuebo is like a servant offending the master, and encountering Ziqi is like water flowing to nourish wood but also dispersing energy. A heavy presence of the planet Saturn can also become a source of trouble, as water being controlled by earth is also considered ominous. The stars of Wei (Worry), Zhang (Emperor), and Xin (Heart) are afraid of the arrival of Saturn and Jidu (Counterbalance); the moon being obscured by earth can cause injury. When Ziqi reaches the stars of Zhang and Wei, it is still dangerous, and this should be judged together with the ruler of the native's house. The stars of Xin (Heart) and Zhang (Emperor) are also afraid of the passage of LuoHou (Lunar Node); the degree of Bi (Stars) is also wary of LuoHou, Ziqi, and Jidu passing through: in the Sheng (Monkey) house, it is feared that Jidu passes through; in the You (Rooster) house, it is feared that Ziqi and LuoHou pass through. The stars of Xing (Star) and Xu (Empty) are afraid of the wood of Ziqi, and this should also be considered in relation to the house; however, if born in the summer month, when fire is strong, the fire can transform Ziqi into a harmful but manageable force. In terms of degrees, the degree of Mao (Broom) is most afraid of the planet Mars and LuoHou; the fire and LuoHou invade the sun's host star, and this is unfavorable regardless of the season. The stars of Gui Jin (Ghost Metal) and Lou Jin (Enclosure Metal) are also afraid of fire and LuoHou invading, as metal is harmed by fire. The stars of Kangle Jin (High Metal) and Niu Jin (Ox Metal) in the summer month are the same case, following the above interpretation.

四金奴氣皆傷我，兩相敵。水孛逢婁數難躲，兼火宮。角井奎度忌火羅，木洩氣，又以奴氣為惡果，奴犯主。斗中金氣不堪言，木受克，奴犯主。秋月忌計最堪憐，木遇敵。室尾秋冬嫌水孛，火受克。又怕奴羅犯木躔，奴犯主。翼觜水孛禍非小，火受克。更嫌土計來相擾，兼水宮，亥奎辰角井斗間四木度。春逢水孛皆刑夭，木旺畏生。大凡二殺不攻一，如水克火又見孛；一殺分明不攻二，如金克木而遇氣。限經失度，太歲傷，刃殺縱無亦難度。

Four metal hosts encountering the star 'Zi Qi' (Purple Qi), a residual star, will all cause harm to the self, because metal and wood are enemies. The stars 'Shui Xing' (Water Star) and 'Yue Bo' (Moon孛) arriving at the娄 metal host will be difficult to avoid, because the娄 metal is located in theXu Palace (Dog Mansion) which is a fire domain, and water will overcome fire. The three degrees of Jiao Wood, Jing Wood, and Kui Wood should avoid the stars 'Huo Xing' (Fire Star) and 'Luo Hou', because wood generates fire and thus loses strength; adding the residual star 'Zi Qi', which is of wooden nature, will make the situation worse, resulting in the residual star attacking the main star. If the 'Zi Qi' star is present in the Dou Wood host, the situation is even more dire, as wood is overcome by metal and earth, which is again the residual star attacking the main star. Those born in autumn months should especially avoid the star 'Ji Du', as at that time wood meets metal and earth, which are enemies, and this is the most unfortunate situation. The Shi Fire and Wei Fire hosts are disliked by the stars 'Shui Xing' (Water Star) and 'Yue Bo' (Moon孛) in autumn and winter, because fire is overcome by water; they also fear the residual star 'Luo Hou' invading the wood domain, which again is the residual star attacking the main star. The Yi Fire and Zhi Fire hosts encountering water and moon孛 will also bring significant troubles, as fire is again overcome by water. They also dislike the stars 'Tu Xing' (Earth Star) and 'Ji Du' interfering, and they should also consider the water domain of their own mansion: the Kui Wood in theHai Palace (Pig Mansion), the Jiao Wood in theChen Palace (Dragon Mansion), as well as the Jing Wood and Dou Wood, these four wood domains if encountered with water and moon孛 in spring, will result in injuries or early death, because wood is in its prime, and being nourished by water becomes harmful. Generally, two killing stars will not attack one place exclusively; for example, the water star attacking the fire domain while the moon孛 is also present. A single killing star cannot overcome two, for instance, the gold star attacking the wood domain while the Zi Qi star supports it. In summary, when the path of the limit passes through a misplaced domain and is further harmed by the annual star, even without the presence of Yang Blade or Fei Ren (Flying Blade) types of cutting stars, it will still be difficult to pass through safely.
