After arranging according to the established order, it is also necessary to distinguish between light and heavy influences, and the direction they face should not lose their degree. In summary, one must carefully examine the situation of all the stars together: whether they are separate or combined, whether they are entering the constellation and rising in the palace or losing their path and position, whether they are in season or out of season, thus distinguishing between light and heavy influences. Then, check whether there is any control or restriction, and combine everything for a comprehensive judgment. If both the body palace and the命 palace are in favorable positions, then fortune and blessings are boundless: for example, if the body ruler is in the official luck palace and the命 ruler is in the fortune virtue palace, or if the命 palace is in the position of Tang Fu and the body palace is in the position of national seal, these are considered to be in favorable positions, indicating someone who has both fortune and blessings.

The stars on both sides are in harmonious aspect with the命宫, leading to extraordinary achievements and fame: for example, if the official star and the魁星 are on either side of the命宫, or if the福星 and禄星 are on either side of the身宫, it indicates great prestige and prominence. Similarly, if the太阳 and太阴 are in a harmonious aspect and each occupies a favorable position, it also indicates high status. One should also know that the four luminaries, 火星, 罗睺, 计都, and 月孛, are difficult to categorize as either auspicious or inauspicious: when they exert their power, their influence is as fierce as thunder and lightning, but in the end, they often end up harming their own interests. Their sharpness and exposure eventually lead to self-injury. However, if these stars are alone in one of the four cardinal directions or occupy one of the four main positions, they instead indicate high-ranking officials in a military governor's court or a general who commands respect at the borders.

The four palaces of destiny, fields and homes, spouse, and official rank are called the "Four Strong" palaces. If the stars of Mars, Rahu, Ji Du, and Yue Bo are located in these palaces, they must be either in their exalted positions, in favorable positions, or act as beneficial stars that nourish me, or transform into auspicious stars, in order to be considered acceptable. Such stars are only suitable to be alone and should not be mixed together; proceeding in a favorable direction brings good fortune, while proceeding in an unfavorable direction brings misfortune. If they can act independently, it indicates extreme wealth and status; if they are mixed together, it leads to calamity. For example, if they transform into the Yang Blade, killing stars,劫杀, Fei Lian, or turn into penal stars, captive stars, dark stars, or consuming stars, or if Rahu and Yue Bo fight, or Ji Du and Yue Bo enclose the natal palace, such a person will certainly have a short life, suffer from legal troubles, and face misfortune that affects themselves.

The sun and moon are symbolic of the sovereign and the empress, and they are most suitable to rise within the trigrams Kan (Water) and Li (Fire). Below is a discussion on the proper positions of the sun and moon. The sun represents the sovereign, and it prefers to dominate the southern trigram Li (Fire). The moon represents the empress and the maternal principle, and its excellence lies in being opposite to the yang sovereign position. Therefore, both the sun and moon prefer to rise in the positions of Kan and Li, corresponding to the meridian of the heart (midday) and the meridian of the kidney (midnight). In the morning, one should observe the positions of Zi (rat) and Wu (horse); in the evening, the positions of Mao (rabbit) and You (goat). One should also distinguish whether the position is in the main hall or the side hall: in the main hall, the sun is at Wu (horse) and the moon is at Wei (sheep); in the side hall, the sun is in the four star positions of Xu (dog), Fang (wall), Mao (rabbit), and Xing (star), which belong to the sun, while the moon is in the four star positions of Wei (sheep), Bi (wild boar), Zhang (net), and Xin (heart), which belong to the moon.

All the stars are divided into two groups to pay homage to the imperial palace. One must also distinguish whether the yin and yang celestial bodies are facing towards or away from the destiny palace. If the sun and moon guard, illuminate, bow to, or flank the destiny palace, it is called "facing." If the sun and moon neither guard, illuminate, bow to, nor flank the destiny palace, it is called "turning away." For those born during the day, the sun is the main influence, with the planet Venus and Mercury as assistants. For those born at night, the moon is the main influence, with the planet Mars and Rahu as attendants. Those born during the day should have the sun as the main influence. If the sun rises in the southeast direction and is in the same palace as the destiny palace, with Venus and Mercury preceding and following, it is most favorable.

Those born at night should focus on Taiyin. Taiyin rises in the northwest and shares the same palace as the命宫. Additionally, the planet Fire and the star Luo Huo are on either side to assist and protect. These are configurations that tend towards brightness and are considered auspicious. However, Fire and Luo Huo should not be together with Taiyin in the same palace. The term 'servants and guards' refers to their presence in the three directions and four cardinal points. It is also necessary to examine the stars of Metal, Water, Fire, and Luo to see what they govern: those governing Wen star, Kui star, official star, and Nobleman are favorable, while those governing criminal star, imprisoned star, Yang Blade, andInauspicious Sha are harmful.

Those who possess this configuration may rise to high positions in the Phoenix Pavilion and enter the Dragon Hall early. If truly in this fortunate configuration, they may hold official positions in the Hanlin Academy, control the authority of the era, be close to the literary circle, and oversee the imperial edicts and decrees for all officials. As for the "Five Stars in a Row," the following discusses the qualification of the five stars. The five stars are wood, fire, earth, metal, and water. For example, if the命宫 is in the Zi position, and the earth star is in Chou, the wood star in Yin, the fire star in Mao, the metal star in Chen, and the water star in Si, the five stars are arranged in sequence like a string of pearls, each occupying its own position, which is a rare and highly esteemed configuration; generally, such noble configurations also require the person's life span to reach these palace positions before the auspicious effects manifest. Another example is when the gold, water, wood, fire, and earth stars follow in order, each palace generating the next in sequence, all supporting the sun and guarding the命宫, which is also this configuration.

"The Two Stars Converge" refers to two stars, which are the sun and moon, meeting in the same palace and precisely located in the degree of the Wall Mansion, which is called convergence. The Wall Mansion is the repository of literature and learning, so it signifies nobility. However, true instances where the sun and moon are exactly in the same degree are rare. If the moon precedes the sun, it is also considered a noble configuration. For example, if the sun is the main star of the person's destiny and the person is born at night, the sun itself has no light; at this time, it may be in the same palace as the moon or in a triple harmony position. Similarly, if the moon is the main star and the person is born during the day, the moon itself has no light; at this time, it may be in the same palace as the sun or in a triple harmony position. This results in self-competition, ultimately lacking light, and is different from the true convergence of the sun and moon. Therefore, one cannot simply conclude that a person is noble just because the sun and moon are in the same position. It is necessary to distinguish between true and false cases, and also to understand the principle of 'wearing heaven and standing on earth'.

The命宫 is located in theHai Palace. The sun and Jupiter are together in the室 and壁 constellations, which is called '戴天'; the Mars is in戌, the Venus in酉, the Water Star in申, and the Moon also in申, which is called '履地'. Since wood, fire, metal, and water are each in their own constellations and palaces, and the sun shines on the heavenly gate ofHai Palace while the moon shines on the earthly gate ofSi Palace, this configuration is very auspicious. Even if during the course of life there is a temporary deviation, there is no need to worry.

For example, if many stars are distributed in the positions of亥, 子, 丑, 寅, they are all considered to be in亥. Also, if 罗睺 is in巳, it is called the pattern of 「wearing heaven and standing on earth」 or 「entering the trigram of Zhen and entering the trigram of Xun」. Alternatively, if the命宫 is in亥 and considered the heavenly gate, and the身宫 is in巳 and considered the earthly gate, it is also counted as such. Because亥 is above the heavenly gate, human life and destiny are received from heaven, so the命宫 is located there;巳 is the position of the earthly gate, and the human body must stand on the earth, so the身宫 is located there. This is what is called 「entering the trigram of Gen and entering the trigram of Kun」.

Yin and yang meet at the gates of the earthly branches: Yin, Shen, Si, and Hai. The planets Luo Hui and Ji Hui often fall here. When they are in Yin or Shen, it is called "coming from Qian into Kun." When they are in Si or Hai, it is called "coming from Kun into Qian." Hai is the position of Qian, and Shen is the position of Kun. If the sun and the natal palace are both in Hai, it is coming from Qian. If the moon is the main ruler and is in Shen, it is entering Kun. For example, if the natal palace and the sun are both in the position of Hai (Qian), and the moon is in Shen (Kun), then a person born during the day is called "Jin Wu Lang Zhao" and one born at night is called "Yu Tu Ying Huang." According to these two patterns, one refers to Luo Hui and Ji Hui, and the other refers to the sun and moon. Both are preserved here.

"The Wen and Wu classes": When Luo Hou and Ji Du intercept the celestial circle, the four remaining celestial bodies are arranged separately, not mixed or reversed, each standing on either side, forming this pattern. The five planets are positioned in the southeast, called the Wen class; the four remaining celestial bodies are positioned in the northwest, called the Wu class: the two classes stand apart to pay homage to the imperial palace. If the Sun and Moon are both in theWu Palace (noon palace), with the Sun guarding the Star Mansion and the Moon guarding the Extended Net Mansion, it is also considered valid. However, it is required that the five planets and the four remaining celestial bodies mutually generate and follow each other in harmony to be considered proper. If they mutually control or injure each other, it is not taken into account.

"King and Minister Rejoice Together": When the Sun is in its native palace of the Hour of the Horse and the Moon is in its native palace of the Hour of the Ox, it is called "King and Minister Rejoice Together"; and my命宫 is precisely in this position, sharing the same place as the King, standing upon the imperial palace, what a magnificent scene. The Sun represents the King, and the myriad stars represent the ministers, all assisting and accompanying together; if they can gather in the same palace and the same mansion, it is the most honorable. For example, during the early Han dynasty, the five planets gathered in the Well Mansion, with the myriad stars arranged in the sky, which was even more extraordinary. Such people are all pillars of the state, capable of serving in the halls of government. This sentence concludes the previous discussion: establishing meritorious deeds for the state and supporting the pillar of jade, holding the position of the ministers and being honored in the golden hall.

"Keeping one and leaving one empty": The eleven luminaries are each placed in one of the eleven palaces, each occupying one palace, leaving one palace without a star, and the命宫 (destiny palace) happens to be in that empty palace, thus keeping the single empty position, which is called the "Keeping one and leaving one empty" pattern. Alternatively, if one palace has a star and the next is empty, alternating in this way, it also counts. For example, if the命宫 is in the hour of Wu, the Moon is in You, Rahu is in Shen, Purple Qi is in You, Mars is in Xu, Jupiter is in Hai, Saturn is in Zi, Moon孛 is in Chou, Kedou is in Yin, Mercury is in Mao, Venus is in Chen, and the Sun is in Si, with all the stars surrounding the命宫, it is considered qualified.

"Residing in three, separated by three": For example, if there are stars in the three palaces of Zi, Chou, and Yin, but none in the three palaces of Mao, Chen, and Si, and then stars again in the three palaces of Wu, Wei, and Shen, with none in You, Xu, and Hai, this conforms to this pattern. Another example is when seven planets are located in the three palaces of Zi, Chou, and Yin, and the命宫 (destiny palace) is also among them, while Rahu and Ketu are each in Zi and Wu, and Purple Qi and Moon孛 are in Wei and Shen. This is also called "residing in three, separated by three." The same requirement applies that all stars should be in favorable positions and mutually harmonious and mutually generating to be auspicious; if all the stars are contrary to the命宫, then it is not a noble destiny.

"The Taiyi holds a toad in the You and Wei positions": You and Wei are located in the southwest, which is a place of comfort for the Moon孛. When the Moon孛 and Taiyin are within one degree of each other here, it is considered acceptable. "Jidu faces the Dipper in the Chou and Niu constellations": The Dipper and Niu constellations are also places of literary achievement. When Jidu is located here, it actually brings good fortune, transforming low status into high status. "The Water Star accompanies the Moon toward Wei and Si, which is 'facing the master while turning away from the king'": The Wu palace represents the king's position. If a person's命宫 is placed in the Si palace, and the Taiyin and Water Star are both located there, then from the perspective of the Taiyin, it has already passed the king's position to meet its own main star, hence it is called 'facing the master while turning away from the king'. Moreover, when the Taiyin enters the Si palace asFortune Virtue and the Water Star enters the Wei palace, it forms a situation where one star accompanies the Moon, which indicates honor, prominence, and high status.

"Ji Du, Luo Hui, Huo Xing, Yue Bo" these four stars, though considered凶曜, when gathered in the Chou palace become "gong dou," and when gathered in the Hai palace become "chao tian." Therefore, these star mansions, although originallyInauspicious Spirit, once facing the尊位, become auspicious patterns. However, this is only valid if the命宫 is placed in the same palace, otherwise it would be considered违背.

Now looking at the pattern "Heaven and Earth are Clear and Tranquil": the Sun and Moon are located in the hours of Wu and Wei, with Venus and Mercury each occupying their proper positions and being clear above; Jupiter and Mars are located in the hours of Zi and Chou, each occupying their proper positions and being peaceful below; further, the Purple Qi, Moon孛, Luo Hui, and Ji Du each move alone and are in their proper places, which is most auspicious. At this time, those whose destiny palace is placed in the hour of Wu or Wei will attain extreme wealth and honor. Alternatively, if the Heaven Gate at the hour of Hai (the乾 position) is occupied by Jupiter, and the Earth Gate at the hour of Si (the巽 position) is occupied by Mercury, this also conforms to this pattern.

"The sun and moon shining brightly in their proper places": For example, when the sun is in the Wu (午) position and the moon is in the Wei (未) position, or when the sun is attached to the Fáng xiù (房宿) in the Mǎo (卯) palace and the moon is attached to the Bì xiù (毕宿) in the You (酉) palace, these are all signs of bright and clear light. The five planets also each occupy their favored positions, either preceding or following, coming to court or forming a bowing formation, which constitutes a great and noble pattern. "All stars facing north": The Hai (亥) and Zi (子) palaces are the heavenly gates, located above the northern threshold. The multitude of stars circle around and converge towards them, which is exactly what is meant by the celestial stars all guarding the north.

"The gathering of all celestial bodies toward the south": either all stars are converging to guard the southern position of the fire element, which corresponds to the Si and Wu palaces. The areas of Shao Wei and Zi Wei also relate to the person's palace and destiny palace. When the planetary limits align with this direction, it brings good fortune; if they go against it, it brings misfortune. When moving in the correct direction, the person is certainly an extraordinary individual; when moving in the opposite direction, they become a poor and unfortunate person. Those moving in the correct direction have beautiful and refined appearances and outstanding academic achievements; those moving in the opposite direction have rough and impulsive temperaments and are prone to hardship. "Facing south and sitting north": people from the south are destined for high status, while people from the north are destined for wealth. People from the south receive the fire star's strength at the southern fire position, and since they are born in this position, they are destined for high status. People from the north are destined for wealth.

Facing north and sitting south, northerners are destined for prestige, while southerners are destined for wealth: the planet of water and the planet of earth are both in the position of the rat (Zi), which is the flourishing position of the north. If the命宫 (destiny palace) is placed here, northerners will certainly achieve prestige, and southerners will certainly achieve wealth. This should be judged according to the division of regions. This is due to the varying suitability of the land and soil, which is determined by the terrain, and it is certain. In addition, there is a pattern called 'Heaven and Earth are open and bright'. The following discusses the qualified patterns of the Eight Trigrams. If the planet of water is in the position of the monkey (Shen) and the planet of wood is in the position of the pig (Hai), and the命宫 is placed in one of these two positions, it signifies the meaning of 'open and bright'. If the planets Luo Guo and Ji Du are placed in the positions of the rat (Zi) and the goat (Wu) to intercept, it is considered qualified. However, if Luo Guo and Ji Du are placed in the positions of the dragon (Chen) and the dog (Xu) to intercept, it is considered a broken pattern.

"Mountains and marshes communicate": The mountain is represented by Gen (Gentle), occupied by the Jupiter star; the marsh is represented by Dui (Lake), occupied by the Metal star. Each star is in its proper place, thus mountains and marshes communicate. "Water and fire are in harmony": The Fire star is strong in the southern position of Li (Fire), in the Wugong (午宫), while the Water star is clear in the position of Zi (Water), in the BaoPeng (宝瓶)宫. Fire ascends upward and Water descends downward, there is no mutual control, but rather a harmonious effect. "Wind and thunder inspire": The Zhen (Thunder) trigram is in the卯 position, which is the gate of thunder; the Xun (Wind) trigram is in the巳 position, which is the dwelling of wind. The Water and Fire stars each remain in their native positions, and all things are inspired and invigorated, leading to transformation and growth.

These four positions are all called "virtual arching," and the stars should not be allowed to leak into other palaces. It is also necessary for the Sun and Moon to be in separate ranks, and it is favorable to have Rahu and Ketu outside to intercept. The methods of placing the命宫 mentioned above are different: the first three sentences indicate that the命宫 is placed in its own palace; only "Wind and Thunder Encouraging" requires the命宫 to be placed in the Chen palace, symbolizing swift and vigorous movement. In general, the above eight trigram positions are all unrelated to Triple Harmony and the Four Directions, so they are called "virtual arching." Stars should not leak into other palaces; each position should be related to and properly placed with the命宫 to be considered valuable. It is favorable to have Rahu and Ketu outside to intercept, and they should not be mixed into the pattern, as their inclusion would break the pattern. The rest follows the same logic. The reverse of this is "Heaven and Earth Blocked." Below is the discussion on the improper configurations of the eight trigrams: the palace of Hai has the planet Venus and Rahu interacting and restricting each other, and the palace of Shen has the planet Saturn and Ketu mixed and confusing, which represents the chaotic and unconnected state of heaven and earth.

"Wind and Thunder Confront Each Other": When the water star is in the卯 (Mao) palace and harms the fire star, and the fire star is in the巳 (Si) palace and is restrained, this is called mutual pressure, indicating the person will suffer injuries. "Water and Fire Oppose Each Other": When the water star is in the午 (Wu) palace and the fire star is in the子 (Zi) palace, they confront each other; or when the water star occupies the fire position and the fire star occupies the water position, it is the same. "Mountains and Marshes Buried": When the metal star enters the寅 (Yin) palace and its essence is cut off, and the water star reaches the酉 (You) palace and is damaged, this is the image of being buried. The above patterns all involve two palaces exchanging positions but not in a suitable way, indicating that the person will be wandering without support and inevitably face ruin, punishment, and early death. Like the above patterns, although the stars are in each other's palaces, they are not in suitable positions. How can a person's fate be fortunate if it encounters these?

Those who seek status without harm or conflict and wealth without loss or depletion will achieve honor and prosperity across generations. To seek status, the stars of Fortune and Virtue and Official Rank are used; these should not be restrained but instead supported and nurtured. To seek wealth, the stars of Land and House and Wealth are used; these should not be attacked but instead supported and nurtured. Those who meet these conditions will certainly attain both status and wealth. Conversely, those with weak bodies and frail destinies will remain in hardship throughout their lives. If the body and destiny stars fall in strong positions or in areas where officials and noble stars are flourishing, they will naturally enjoy great blessings. However, if the destiny palace is located in a position of killing or ifInauspicious Sha (evil killing stars) guard the body palace and the origin god is in a weak position, they will certainly be people of hardship and misfortune.

Once the stars have formed a pattern, we should consider whether they are in their proper place (入垣), rather than being overly concerned with other deities or ominous influences. If the stars form a proper pattern and are in their proper place, other harmful influences need not be considered, and wealth and status can be known. Stars mainly indicate the current situation, so it is necessary to distinguish between their inherent nature and their function in order to determine their prosperity or decline. For example, if spring is the season for wood, summer for fire, autumn for metal, and winter for water, and these elements are in their proper seasons, we must also look at where the person's life path leads and whether the命宫 (birth palace) is favorable or unfavorable. After combining and examining these factors, we can then make a judgment. If the stars are strong and the person's birth palace and命宫 are also strong, then both wealth and status will be achieved, along with a long and prosperous life.

Although the pattern is high, the stars are inpredicament, like a grain stalk developing ears but not blooming, blooming but not bearing fruit: the pattern is indeed high, but unfortunately all the stars are trapped inpredicament. According to the proper explanation, although the planet of earth is in its own mansion, its vital energy is leaking out, and although the planet of wood is in its own palace, it is moving backward. Or the planet of wood is trapped within the metal energy of the mansion of Lou, while the planet of fire is pressing upon the golden dragon in the mansion of Chen. Such people study much but achieve little, and their fate is one of hardship. If there are official stars and auspicious stars but the mansion they are in is ineffective, it is because there are hidden Yang blades and Tian Xiong within: the official and auspicious stars have already become the main stars, and have entered their own mansions, but they are unaware that there are also Di Ci and Tian Xiong guarding there, indicating that this person will cause trouble and conflict, and will be of no benefit to others. Sometimes although the刑星 and囚星 are present, they do not hinder theInauspicious Sha, because theInauspicious Sha are not affecting the main stars of the body and life: for example, if the仇星 and杀星 both transform into刑星 and囚星, they fight among themselves and are unable to attack the main stars of the body and life, so there is no need to be cautious.

The body palace, life palace, official palace, and fortune virtue all prefer to meet the three origins: if these four places also meet the heavenly origin, earthly origin, and human origin, it is perfect. When there is the heavenly path on the left and the earthly path on the right, one must beware of the handle of the Big Dipper: the two stars of heavenly path and earthly path most dislike the handle of the Big Dipper pointing at them, as once it points at them, the chart is ruined; if the handle of the Big Dipper is only in front leading and behind following, that is actually auspicious. At this time, the outermost layer is actually best to be empty: if the stars on both sides supporting the body and life are all auspicious, then the layer outside of that should be empty. If the supporting and embracing stars are all凶 stars, then the inner layer should be good stars: if the stars in front and behind supporting the body and life are all凶, then the middle should not see evil stars again, and it is better to see auspicious stars to rescue.

If a person is surrounded by auspicious stars but has malevolent stars supporting them, it indicates more honor than disgrace: if auspicious stars support the person's native and destiny palace, while malevolent stars are in the triple harmony positions, the closer ones are more important, so the person may suffer some humiliation at first but eventually achieve honor. If the supporting stars are auspicious and the surrounding stars are malevolent, then there will be success followed by failure: if auspicious stars support the person's native and destiny palace, while malevolent stars surround them, the distant ones are less important, so the person may achieve success first but eventually fail. Generally, if a single star holds power and is fully utilized, it is best if it also receives support: for example, if the Jupiter star is in spring and holds power, and also serves as the native, official, wealth, and fortune stars, or transforms into the heavenly and earthly axes and the three elements stars, this is called "full utilization." If it also receives support, it is even better.

There are many variations in the way stars guard and illuminate the命宫, but the most important is that they must be appropriate and suitable. When various stars illuminate the命宫, they must all be appropriate. If there are many variations but each is appropriate in its place, it is considered an excellent and noble destiny. If the命宫 is guarded by the Vermilion Bird and the Black Tortoise in front and behind, and the Post-horse is also present; if the Azure Dragon and the White Tiger are on the left and right, and the Heaven's Path and Earth's Meridian come to support and surround it, then the four divine beings move around and protect the命宫. The person's Triple Harmony direction also has the seven luminaries in order to support and approach, plus an official star in the middle.

For example, if the命宫 is located in theHai Palace, the planet Mars, belonging to the Southern Vermilion Bird, is in theXu Palace ahead, the planet Water, belonging to the Northern Black Tortoise, is in theZi Palace behind, the planet Wood, belonging to the Eastern Azure Dragon, is in the Dipper mansion and in its prime, and the planet Metal, belonging to the Western White Tiger, is in its prime in theYou Palace. If these four planets also conjoin with the heavenly meridians and earthly meridians and the Post-horse, or fall in the positions of the body,命宫, officialdom, or fortune virtue, then one will certainly become an emperor, possessing supreme power over the four seas. Those who meet these configurations will achieve an unparalleled level of prestige, and their wealth is even more extraordinary.

The official star and the distinguished star enclose the命宫 along with the Azure Dragon and White Tiger, indicating a talented person in the court: for example, if the命宫 is located in卯, the Jupiter and Metal stars transform into the official star and distinguished star, each returning to their original positions in寅 and辰 to enclose the命宫. This is a meeting of dragon and tiger amidst stormy weather, and such a person is certainly like a jade ornament. The禄 star and the Post-horse star guard the body palace and meet the three elements, indicating a prime minister of the court: for example, those born in the years ofYimao, Yiwei, andYihai, with their命宫 located in辰, have the天禄 in卯 and the Post-horse in巳, enclosing the命宫 from both sides. When combined with the three elements, they will become ministers assisting the royal court.

The stars Wen Xing, Kui Xing, and Cui Guan Xing fall into the structure of the chart, leading to immediate success in official rank: when many stars gather in the命宫 and are in harmony, achieving official rank is as easy as picking up a blade of grass. If the命 falls into the宫 of "的" or into a position opposite to the host star and is prone to wandering, the person will certainly have no fixed place to reside: the宫 of "的" indicates fragmentation; the opposite position refers to those adjacent diagonally, such as巳 and午, 未 and申, 亥 and子, 丑 and寅; if further combined with the migration宫 or the main star of the ninth宫 entering, it indicates that the person has no fixed residence.

On the first day of the month, if the sun meets Luo Hui, a solar eclipse occurs, and on the fifteenth day, if the moon meets Ji Du, a lunar eclipse occurs. Both events signify the loss of light and the suffering of loneliness and sorrow. Those born on the first day of the month and encountering Luo Hui with the sun will surely lose their parents, and themselves will also suffer the pain of losing their parents. If someone encounters Zi Qi with Luo Hui or Shui Xing with Yue Bo, men will become monks or hermits, and women will become prostitutes. Zi Qi and Luo Hui are stars of solitude and hardship, while Shui Xing and Yue Bo are stars of licentiousness and excess. Those who possess these stars will have men entering the Buddhist order and women falling into prostitution.

The planet Mars forces the metal dragon in theChen Palace (Chen palace). If it is in theHorn mansion (Jiao mansion), it gains life; if it is in theNeck mansion (Kang mansion), it suffers harm. When Mars enters theChen Palace (Chen palace), if it is in the degree of角木 (Jiao wood), fire still has vitality; but if it is in the degree of亢金 (Kang metal), it becomes unfavorable, and is even harmed. The planet Venus is submerged in theXu Palace (Xu palace) and the dog of jade. If it falls into theBond mansion (Lou mansion), it is drowned; if it falls into theStomach mansion (Wei mansion), it is unharmed. TheBond mansion (Lou mansion) is the palace of Mars, so when Venus enters this degree, there is a taboo of water overflowing into the white ram mansion. TheStomach mansion (Wei mansion) belongs to earth, which can control the water, so there is no danger.

Small Loss and Great Loss, when combined with Heaven Loss and Earth Loss, are most detrimental to fields, houses, wealth and property. The following is a general discussion of variousInauspicious Sha (malevolent influences). If Great Loss, Small Loss, Heaven Loss and Earth Loss fall on the second house of wealth and the fourth house of fields and houses, there will inevitably be financial loss. Death Symbol, Disease Symbol, Year Symbol and Month Symbol are most feared when they fall on the body palace and life palace. If Official Symbol, Disease Symbol, Death Symbol and Month Symbol press upon the body and life palace, it will certainly lead to disputes and legal troubles; if not due to litigation and imprisonment causing self-harm, it will also indicate ruin of the family due to gambling and idle pleasures. This is a continuation of the previous discussion.

Gou Chen and Jiao Sha converge with malevolent stars, and together with Jie Sha and Wang Shen causing trouble: when these four stars Gou Chen, Jiao, Jie, and Wang Shen congregate in the命宫, and additional malevolent stars appear in the ten-year period, one will certainly suffer legal punishment. Light cases may only result in venereal diseases, while severe cases may lead to execution, hanging, imprisonment, or exile: this follows the previous statement, meaning light cases result in illness and hardship, while severe cases result in execution or imprisonment. When Wang Shen and the killer star meet with Xianchi, it will cause loss of lifespan and damage to official position: the palace where Wang Shen and the killer star are located most fears the intrusion of Xianchi Taohua star.

Flying廉 and 剑锋 together with Guanfu indicate legal disputes and financial loss: When Flying廉 and 剑锋 are in the same palace, they are most afraid of Guanfu entering together, which indicates financial loss. If they mutually generate and are harmonious, the harm is light; if they mutually control and are conflicting, the harm is severe. This is a continuation of the previous text, using the Five Phases' generation and control to determine fortune and misfortune. If there are Blood Blade and Blood Branch, one should also be cautious of the Golden Star and Moon孛 causing disasters: If the stars of Blood Blade and Blood Branch are in the命, they often indicate disasters involving bloodshed. If they are combined with the Golden Star and Moon孛, the disaster will be even more severe.

There are heavenly calamities and heavenly punishment, which are most feared when combined with the planet Mars and Rahu, causing further chaos and trouble: when heavenly calamities and heavenly punishment meet, it indicates that the person will face legal troubles and lose their family fortune; if Mars and Rahu join them, it will certainly lead to being struck by lightning or a violent death. Men will suffer from intestinal disorders, abscesses, and boils, while women will suffer from blood disorders and abnormal discharge: this is a continuation of the previous statement, meaning that even if they survive, they will continuously face misfortunes and diseases. If the floating and sinking stars meet with the earth star and Ji Du, they will either drown to death or be wrongly treated by unskilled doctors: the floating and sinking stars indicate water-related calamities, and when combined with the earth star and Ji Du, they will inevitably lead to a death by misfortune.

Feiren combined with the planet Jin Xing and Luo Hui, will not die from warfare but will meet a sudden death: Feiren signifies calamity from blades, and when combined with Jin Xing and Luo Hui, the killing energy is intense, leading to death by weapons. The killing energy gathers on two Yang Blades, and if another meeting with刑星 and囚星 occurs, certain miscarriage or difficult childbirth will result. This passage refers to female destiny. The so-called two blades are Yang Blade and Feiren; the killing energy that arises again transforms into刑星 and囚星, inevitably leading to miscarriage or difficult childbirth.

The sword sharpness and the four凶 meet, and once there is a clash and control, there will certainly be a calamity of evil blood: the four凶 refer to the fire star, Ruo Liu, Ji Du, and Yue Bo. It is also said that the killing star,劫 killing, the Yang blade, and Fei Lian meet with the sword sharpness, and disaster cannot be avoided. All of the above are discussed in terms of the body palace, the life palace, and the running limits. "Heavenly Dog" and "Huagai" indicate the cutting off of descendants: if Heavenly Dog and Huagai are in the male or female palace, it often indicates no children; if the child star is in the palace of Heavenly Dog or Huagai, it is also judged in the same way.

Guchen and Guasu are sure to cause harm to the wife: if Guchen or Guasu are located in the body宫,命宫 or wife妾宫, it indicates that the person will be lonely and cause harm to their spouse. If the ruler of the wife宫 is in the area of Guchen or Guasu, the same conclusion applies. If the De Star is in the position of Chongxun, it indicates that the person holds power in legal matters and has great authority: when many auspicious stars gather in the Chongxun position, it indicates that the person is prominent in legal affairs, holds great power, and has abundant titles and honors. If the爵Star and禄Star are in the age carriage宫, there are hiddenInauspicious Sha and high official rank: when the age carriage宫 has the爵Star and禄Star along with other auspicious stars, and all theInauspicious Sha are hidden and inactive, it indicates that the person has a prominent reputation.

When the planet of metal is accompanied by a killing force and transforms into the Yang Blade, one must avoid encountering it: the Yang Blade is like a blade, and the planet of metal naturally governs severity and killing; if it also controls the Yang Blade, its severity becomes even more intense. The two palaces of Chen and You are where the Blade star resides. When the planet of wood transforms into a劫杀 (劫杀), the calamity is difficult to avoid: the planet of wood is like a stick or rod, and once it controls the劫杀, it can harm one's destiny and life span; it is absolutely to be avoided; the two palaces of Yin and Hai are where the劫杀 occurs.

Heavenly Stems: Jia, Yi, Bing, Ding, Wu, Ji, Geng, Xin, Ren, Gui Earthly Branches: Zi, Chou, Yin, Mao, Chen, Si, Wu, Wei, Shen, You, Xu, Hai Trigrams: Qian (Heaven), Dui (Lake), Li (Fire), Zhen (Thunder), Xun (Wind), Kan (Water), Gen (Mountain), Kun (Earth) Heavenly Strength and Earthly Weakness should not fall in the official position: The official position fears the presence of Heavenly Strength and Earthly Weakness; if they appear, it indicates loss of position and dismissal. Heavenly Loss and Earthly Loss must be avoided in the wealth position: The wealth position should not have Heavenly Loss and Earthly Loss; this inevitably leads to financial loss and decline of business. Regarding killing and punishment, if killing is severe, punishment becomes even more unbearable: When many killing stars clash, punishment stars follow, and the killing energy is strong, the punishment becomes unavoidable. As for evil and good, when evil is prevalent, it is not appropriate to make a good judgment: When there are many evil stars and few good stars, it must be judged as evil, and no good words should be spoken.

"Huagai" and Purple Qi are auspicious stars: these two are both benevolent stars. If a person's destiny is influenced by them, they will certainly have a kind heart, be eager to follow the Way, and have a desire to leave home and become a monk. Tianyi and荫 star are also benevolent stars: Tianyi is the Tianyi Nobleman, and 荫 star is the star of receiving protection and blessings; if these stars are in the命 or 安身 position, they can certainly transform misfortune into good fortune. When there are stars in the Triple Harmony direction, they must be carefully examined: although having stars in the Triple Harmony direction is auspicious, it is necessary to carefully distinguish, as there are both good and bad influences.

The four corners of the palace do not necessarily indicate misfortune even if they lack stars: the four corners refer to the native's palace, spouse, migration, and children. Even if these four palaces lack auspicious stars, one should still consider the native's body and destiny, and not immediately conclude it as inauspicious. For a woman's fate, the body palace and fortune virtue are most important, and the official star can be regarded as the husband's star: in a woman's chart, the emphasis is on the body palace and the master of fortune virtue. Here, the term official star is likely referring to the master of the official and fortune palace.

For a female's destiny, it is most suitable for her to be in the position of the Nobleman, but not to clash with the Nobleman's position. It is especially undesirable to see the淫星 (lewd stars), and particularly to have these stars in conjunction. The body and destiny should be in the Nobleman's palace, not to clash with the Nobleman's position. It is also not suitable to have the Gold Star, Water Star, or Moon孛 (Moon孛) these lewd stars guarding the destiny, nor to have them in conjunction. Moreover, it is even more undesirable for malevolent stars to enter the marital palace. If the Gold Star, Water Star, and Taohua (Flower Star) are present in the four败 (defeated) positions, if the Gold Star, Moon孛, and Water Star are with Xianchi (Xianchi) and the fourThe Post-horse (post-horse), then the Gold Star, Moon孛, and Water Star are the heavenly Xianchi, which are the earthly lewd vapors. How can they be seated in the Taohua,The Post-horse, Capping, and Officialdom positions?

Such people, if female, will become prostitutes, and if male, will suffer from tuberculosis: those who match the above pattern will have women fall into the ranks of courtesans and men afflicted with tuberculosis. There is nothing strange about this. Even if they have red lips and fair faces, outstanding appearance, they cannot avoid the cycle of welcoming and sending off new companions; indulging solely in romantic and poetic pursuits will ultimately lead to a life of wandering and destitution. These four lines continue the discussion on female fate. Although they may be beautiful, they will ultimately become lowly people; even if they enjoy fleeting pleasures, they cannot escape the pursuit of the inexorable fate. The above is only a general overview, yet further exploration into subtle details is necessary. To understand the mysteries of fate, one must carefully examine the gains and losses of heavenly timing. The "Heavenly Origin Jade Manual" records celestial phenomena without error; as long as one carefully discerns the waxing and waning, the rise and fall of things, the determination of fortune and misfortune will naturally become clear.
