Charting guides: Da Liu Ren Chart Calculator, Jin Kou Jue Chart

The lesson pattern is identified as "Original Head" and "Original Embryo." The lesson meaning states: the transmission from the day stem to the day stem and day branch indicates that I should go to the other party; although the water of亥 can resolve the current misfortune, the root of the calamity also lies here. Explanation: the first transmission originates from the heavenly stem above the day stem, and the final transmission returns to the heavenly stem above the day stem and day branch. This indicates that I am seeking something from the other party. The fire of巳 is the official ghost of the day stem of庚, and the water of亥 controls it, indeed capable of resolving the immediate misfortune; however, the water of亥 also generates the wood of寅, which in turn generates the fire of巳, continuing in a chain of mutual generation, ultimately returning to harm the day stem. Thus, the root of the calamity is indeed here.

The divination indicates a supreme ruler's hexagram, with all four lessons and three transmissions belonging to the first category. The巳 (Si) is placed over the申 (Shen), known as "Disease and Fetus." Although the matter proceeds smoothly, it involves subordinating the lower to the higher, so actions must be open and upright to avoid mistakes. If actions are secretive and obscure, it corresponds to the image of the fourth illness, indicating hidden blockages and obstructions, which can lead to disaster upon disturbance. Furthermore, the three transmissions generate the day stem's official ghost through mutual generation. Gou Chen holds the seal, and Teng Snake transforms into the Azure Dragon, which is favorable for officials but inauspicious for ordinary people.

Heavenly Conditions: In the early spring, after rain, the weather will clear. Home: Indicates there is a pregnant woman in the family, or there is discord among women. Marriage: Not to one's satisfaction. Pregnancy: The spirit of the fetus is in a poor position, be careful of injury or miscarriage. Official Rank: Very favorable, with recommendation from others, promotion and receiving an official seal. Seeking Wealth: There will be some gain, but also be cautious of expenditure. Disease: One can meet a doctor, but beware of recurrence. Loss: Not suitable for chasing. Travel: Favorable for seeking official positions, other matters are not suitable. Traveler: Will arrive soon. Dispute: It is suitable to reconcile, or trouble may arise from younger generations. Warfare: Even in a safe position, be cautious of danger, do not act recklessly.

The "Bifa Fu" says: The one that can subdue the official ghost is the good physician; when there is mutual suspicion, look at the six harms following. The "Ke Jing" says: When the direction of overcoming changes, it becomes a double-edged sword; it also says that if both the day stem and day branch are riding the growth, but later they mutually exhaust each other, this is called "joy leading to worry." The "Shen Ying Jing" says: If the final transmission is亥 water escaping the丁 god official ghost, there may be danger related to children. The "Gu Jian" records: Using the辰 general to divinate the family dwelling, it says:巳 fire overcomes申 metal, Gongcao寅 wood rides Teng Snake, which both injures巳 and overcomes申;亥 is the son爻 of庚 day, surely causing loss due to children or officials. Gold originally supports the day stem's巳, but it escapes to亥 to exhaust;寅 originally supports the day stem's亥, but it escapes to巳 to exhaust, indicating initial prosperity followed by decline.亥 counts four,寅 counts seven, together making eleven years, and this was all verified later.

On the Gengyin day, fifth arrangement: the stem is on the Chen branch.

The lesson pattern is identified as "涉害", "炎上", "斩关", and "狡童": "炎上" refers to the three transmissions forming the fire triad of Yin-Wu-Xu, with the fiery nature ascending; "斩关" means cutting through obstacles forcefully; "狡童" indicates improper relationships between men and women. The lesson meaning states: the initial lesson is already alarming, and once it starts, the actions involved are significant; fortunately, the middle and final transmissions both fall into empty voids, so it is better to remain defensive. Explanation: The heavenly stem Tiangang (Chen) is located on the day stem, and the earthly branch Hekui (Xu) is located on the day branch. Xu also initiates the first transmission, and the ten heavenly stems are hidden as the fire official ghost, indicating that this action is not trivial. The six unities are all located on the ghost's house Yin, showing that the conspiracy has just begun and is quite alarming. Fortunately, the middle and final transmissions both fall into empty voids, leading to eventual dispersion; however, the planned action remains unfulfilled, so it is better to rely on the supportive earth of Chen on the day stem. The son involves five layers of earth, and Xu involves four layers of wood, so there is also a saying of taking the son as the initiating transmission.

This is a卦 involving harm, and it forms a situation of fire rising upwards. In dealing with matters, one should seize opportunities to advance and know when to retreat in the face of difficulty. The three transmissions start from the final transmission and generate sequentially, leading up to the day branch, where it then regenerates the day stem. This indicates that one can receive help from many people, and all affairs can be accomplished. However, the fire situation is empty yet bright, with戌 placed on寅, which is the tomb god resting on the position of growth. Matters that should be clear become obscure. Moreover, both the middle and final transmissions fall into emptiness, meaning that few actual results will be achieved, and it is only suitable for relieving worries and fears.

Heavenly circumstances: dark clouds heavily cover the sun, and it will not clear until there is wind and thunder. Family dwelling: cutting through the gate is not a sign of settling down; a cunning young man should beware of private affairs between men and women. Marriage: not suitable. Pregnancy: the fetal god is seated on Kongwang and Storage, indicating that the pregnancy was secretly conceived; when predicting childbirth, it will happen soon, and the child will be born with fear. Achieving fame: although there is assistance from empty fame and prestige, there will be no real success. Seeking wealth: a waste of effort. Illness: the wood energy oppresses the spleen meridian, which is unfavorable. Loss: difficult to recover. Travel: suitable for avoiding danger and leaving far away, but one is helpless and cannot move. Travelers: blocked on the way. Disputes: mainly about immoral acts and theft, which will resolve themselves soon. Warfare: unfavorable.

The *Bifa Fu* says: When the three transmissions turn and generate each other, it indicates that someone will recommend a person; when the Heavenly Empress combines with Liu He to divinate marriage matters, there is no need for further planning; when the three transmissions stop passing on, one should examine the time of the first transmission's initiation. The *Ke Jing* says: When the nobleman appears at the heavenly gate at night, all spirits hide and evil forces disappear, and the divination is especially accurate in the months of the four young ones, because at that time the four directions generals are being used. If the main ruler of the gate changes, but the middle and final transmissions are empty, the movement cannot take place. The *Ding'e* says: When the hour of Wu is placed on the hour of Xu, it is because the lost horse has entered the storage place. Xu is the god of the prison and when the transmission reaches the storage, it indicates legal disputes; divination in summer and autumn indicates reliance on power, and divination on days of Geng and Xin is called 'carrying an evil force'.

On the Gengyin day, sixth arrangement: the heavenly stem is on the卯 branch.

The "Lesson Pattern" is determined as "Zhi Yi," "Zhuo Lun," and "Lu Wang." The "Lesson Meaning" states: The Ji (戌) is concealed as Bing, and the Zi (子) is concealed as Bing as well, with the Middle Transmission also encountering Si fire. A gentleman divining this would find it favorable, but a common person would feel regret. Explanation: The Ji (戌) is concealed as Bing according to the ten-day cycle, and the Zi (子) is concealed as Bing according to the original method. The two Bings enclose the Middle Transmission Si fire, which is nothing other than the official ghost of Geng day. Additionally, the卯 is placed on the申, forming the pattern of "Zhuo Lun." Officials who divinate this should expect good fortune of promotion and appointment; however, ordinary people encountering this pattern are likely to face illness and legal troubles.

The interpretation: This is a situation of mutual prosperity, also known as 'crossing nets'. For those with good fortune in their destiny, it will bring auspicious signs, with the arrival of carriages, horses, and official seals; for those with bad fortune, it will bring ominous signs, with calamities such as Yangren and nets. When both lines are active, the matter splits into two threads, with harmony accompanied by conflict, and benefits mixed with harm. Generally, one should abandon the distant for the near, and the distant relatives for the close ones. First experiencing some difficulties, then achieving success.

Heavenly conditions: There will be wind and rain, but it will be easy to clear up. Home: In summer, at night, the Vermilion Bird is in the酉 direction, with a fire ghost affecting the house, which may cause fire and legal disputes. It is advisable to take mud from the bottom of a well and apply it to the stove to ward off these effects. Marriage: The conversation is not harmonious. Pregnancy: The spirit of the fetus is in a dead position, and it is very inauspicious in the tenth month. If this is a prediction for childbirth, the child will be born immediately. Official position: Seeking an official position is very auspicious, but one should be cautious when taking exams. Seeking wealth: There will be great gains. Visiting: Meeting a nobleman is auspicious. Disease: Lung disease, which is inauspicious. Loss: The lost item may be with a neighbor, and the escaped person will not have gone far. Travel: Going to take up an official position is auspicious. Traveler: The traveler is still on the way and will arrive late. Dispute: It is advisable to reconcile. Both parties have a nobleman with the six evils, and it is likely to be ruled as unjust. Warfare: It is favorable for the main side but not for the opposing side.

The "Bifa Fu" says: When both sides are prosperous, they are mutually beneficial, and it is suitable to plan matters while sitting; when both the person and the house are seated on the墓 (burial) position, they can only endure the coming of bad luck; the matters they plan are mostly clumsy and fall into traps; if theFetal Spirit (fetus deity) and财爻 (wealth爻) are riding on death qi, it should be interpreted as a loss of the fetus. The "Kanjing · Guaxiang" says: To make wood into objects, one must use a metal axe to cut and shape it; if it is about conceiving or illness, it is ominous; if it is about wealth, it brings joy and eagerness; there is an increase in salary and position, and officials are promoted beyond their rank; when戌土 (earth) serves as the印绶 (seal), it is especially pleasing. The "Xiu Zhong Jin" says: If the person seeking the divination is involved in matters of receiving an official position or managing business, then on a day of gold, it is called "cheng qi" (making an object); if it is on the third month of autumn on the days of庚 or辛 (metal days), and the heavenly general is riding on Tai Yin and Bai Hu (White Tiger), then it is called "shang fu" (injuring the axe), because of the excessive metal qi.

On the Gengyin day, seventh arrangement: the stem is on Yin.

The lesson pattern is determined as "Reverse Chant," "Original Womb," and "Stepson." Stepson refers to the situation where the male marries into the female's family and himself becomes subordinate. The lesson meaning says: he comes to my house, and I go to his; everywhere I see wealth and official rank, but it is not good for a night divination. Explanation: Yin is located on Shen, indicating he comes to my house; Shen is located on Yin, indicating I go to him. The day stem and day branch are located on each other's positions, exchanging places. The three transmissions and four lessons all involve only Yin and Shen. Shen is the official rank of Geng day, and Yin is the wealth of Geng day, so wealth and official rank are everywhere, which is very good. However, considering the heavenly generals for the night, Shen has Teng Snake and Yin has White Tiger, which also fill the view, making it very bad.

This is a卦 of reverse chant without support, matching the image of the original embryo, also known as the stepson. There is confusion and no clear direction, with repeated fluctuations and no resolution. It also indicates suspicion and indecision, hidden and not apparent, with disorder in hierarchy and lack of harmony between parties. The virtuous person who maintains the right path will find success, while the petty person acting recklessly will face danger. Although the official of fortune and the post-horse are in the same locality, indicating signs of wealth, good fortune, and prosperity, since they are both in the state of decline, a凶ous image still appears, which is something to be feared.

Heavenly conditions: The weather is uncertain, with rain during the day and wind at night. For the household: It is suitable to exchange houses with others. For marriage: Divination during the day is favorable, but not during the night, indicating that the male partner will join the female's family, or that a woman with children will remarry. For pregnancy: It indicates a multiple birth. For official positions: It is favorable to take on a position of temporary authority or to transfer duties, but other inquiries are unfavorable. For seeking wealth: It is suitable to conclude a transaction. For illness: There are multiple symptoms; the official of fortune is in a terminal position, indicating loss of appetite; also, it is like entering the gate of the underworld, and those born in the year of the monkey who divinate will surely die. For lost items: They should be looked for in distant places. For travel: It is unfavorable. For a traveler: He will arrive soon. For disputes: The one who acts first will win. For warfare: There will be casualties, and the opposing side will turn into the main side.

The *Bi Fa Fu* says: If both the day stem and day branch are in the state of absolute decline, then no matter what plans are made, they will all be difficult to achieve; if someone is acting as a proxy in an official position but lacks proper authority, one should look at the禄神 (favorable deity) to see where it is located in the day branch. The *Guan Jing Xiang* says: For the four beginning months' divination lessons, one must recognize the赘婿卦 (husband-in-law's hexagram), which signifies sending oneself into the wife's family; if the deity in the day branch approaches the day stem and is then restrained, the divination will be accurate without error. The *Ding E* says: If the middle transmission or the final transmission encounters a saving deity, or if the person's birth year and destiny are favored by auspicious deities, this indicates the赘婿 (husband-in-law) is in power and can act freely; if it is accompanied by prosperity and strength, and also takes the form of Gou Chen or Bai Hu, it is called 'canyxia' (residual decline), which is extremely unfavorable for those of low status and youth.

On the Gengyin day, the eighth arrangement: the stem is on the Chou branch.

The "Lesson Pattern" is determined as "Zhi Yi," "Zhu Yin," and "Mo Yue." The "Lesson Meaning" states: the day stem and day branch both ride on theTomb Spirit (mound spirit), and the two noblemen of day and night both meet. Two Bing (丙) elements escape the official star, gathering together with the巳 fire. Explanation: the day stem rides on the mound of metal, and the day branch rides on the mound of wood. Though the owner is dull and the residence atmosphere is dark and obscure, Chou (丑) is the nobleman of day and Wei (未) is the nobleman of night, the two noblemen are in mutual proximity, which is the fortune of the person and the residence. In the Middle Transmission, the巳 fire itself is the official star of the Geng day. The Zi (子) follows the original retreat to become Bing, and the Xu (戌) follows the ten-day retreat to become Bing, together with the巳, forming three layers, thus creating a pure official casting seal pattern. For those in official positions, it is a favorable omen; for ordinary people, it indicates the fulfillment of misfortune.

This is a卦 of knowing one, where differences show sameness, and kindness contains harm. The day stem and day branch are both covered by the tomb god, and both sides are dim and unclear. The residence is heavily overlaid with kongwang, and the initiating transmission god cannot exert force. Although there is auspiciousness of casting an official seal and the blessing of two noblemen, it is mostly empty rather than substantial.

Heavenly signs: It suddenly rains, then the sun comes out, and afterwards it turns into gloomy weather. Family home: The entrance is empty and the family is dispersing, or there will be a change. Marriage: It is suitable to divinate at night in June. Childbirth: The delivery will be smooth. Official rank: There will certainly be a fortunate encounter with a nobleman, but it is empty and not real. Seeking wealth: It is difficult to obtain. Disease: Unfavorable. Loss: It cannot be found again, and a person who has run away will not go far. Traveling: Uncertain. Traveler: The journey is long and the return will be delayed. Dispute: Both sides rely on power, it is suitable to reconcile. Warfare: If divined during the day, caution is needed; if divined at night, victory is expected. Burial: Be careful that there is water in the grave.

The *Bi Fa Fu* says: If the day's nobleman and night's nobleman both appear at the same time, one can seek both noblemen simultaneously; if the day stem and day branch each have their own burial, both sides are in confusion and unclear. The *Gu Jian* records: In the year Yiyou, using the寅 (Tiger) general to divinate the household, it says: The house falls under Kongwang, indicating the need to move out of the old house; moving from south to north, the first transmission falls on the empty position, which also suggests temporary residence without a definite outcome. The巳 (Snake) is placed on the Zi (Rat), with the巳 (Snake) being the day stem for the庚 (Metal) day; the巳 (Snake) governs shops and business, while Tai Yin governs the old woman, indicating that the foundation was bought from the wife's relatives. It should be suitable for opening a shop and achieving success, and the renovation can be done in the year of巳. The final transmission is born from the day stem, indicating that the senior relative is in charge. The戌 (Dog) is the servant of the庚 (Metal) day, with Liu He all together, indicating that the transaction can be completed. The person later indeed moved out of the old house because the population was too large and planned to live elsewhere, and all the predictions were verified.

On the Gengyin day, the ninth division: the heavenly stem is on the Zi branch.

The lesson pattern is identified as "Yuan Shou," "Run Xia," "Li De," and "Bi Kou." Run Xia refers to the three transmissions forming the water triad of Shen, Zi, and Chen, which represents water flowing downward. Bi Kou refers to a situation where the mouth is closed and words cannot be spoken. The lesson meaning states: when a person is declining, the house is flourishing; when I am weak, the other party is strong. The official ghost is located in the house but does not come towards me. Explanation: The three transmissions form a water pattern, which drains and removes the day stem while benefiting the day branch. When predicting about a person and their house, it indicates the person is declining while the house is flourishing; when predicting about the other party and me, it indicates my weakness against the other party's strength. The午 fire is the official ghost of the庚 day, not present on the self but on the house, which has fallen into kongwang and is restrained by the water pattern, showing no intention of coming towards me. For an official, this official star brings no fortune; for a common person, this official ghost does not cause misfortune.

This is a卦 of the sovereign, and it forms a pattern of moistening and descending. Matters are mostly smooth, and once they start, they do not stop, and when gathered together, they have effectiveness. If one remains quiet and stays within one's proper role, it is prosperous; if one acts with integrity and openness, it is auspicious. However, both people and the dwelling are drained and exhausted, and it is accompanied by the death deity. The water pattern drains the day stem, and kongwang enters the dwelling, indicating that the things one plans will not succeed. Once action is taken, it will involve many people, and there will be continuous occurrences of falsehood and deceit, with expenses that are incalculable. The yin spirit on the day stem issues the first transmission, and the black tortoise joins above. Those who are in harmony with me are actually coming to harm me, so one must be cautious and vigilant.

Heavenly Conditions: Continuous bitter rain. Family Residence: The dwelling belongs to an old official's house, with a declining population and continuous waste without benefit. Marriage: The woman is hesitant and does not agree. Pregnancy: The fetal condition is stable, but childbirth is unfavorable. Achievements: There is hope in the fifth month, but beware of being deceived by others. Seeking Wealth: Expenses are high while gains are low. Illness: If affected by death qi, it is dangerous; fortunately, the official ghost is absent, so sudden illness can be cured, but chronic illness is unfavorable. Losses: Be cautious of losing more than once. Travel: Be cautious of false words and fraud by fellow travelers. Traveler: Travel by boat is obstructed and delayed. Disputes: It is advisable to stop at once, do not listen to others' incitement, and avoid being deceived. Military Conflict: Unfavorable for using fire attacks; also indicates the opposing side seeking peace with deceitful intentions. Be cautious and it will be auspicious.

The "Bifa Fu" says: If there is another leakage and loss on top of leakage and loss, one should beware of false and fraudulent matters; both person and dwelling are in the place of death, each being weak; when there is a conjunction, if aInauspicious Sha is involved, it is like砒霜 hidden in honey. The "Ding'uo" says: Moistening and descending indicates floating and wandering without stability; when Yuanwu and Tianhou are both present, it indicates there will be thieves. It also says that when the mouth is closed and Yuanwu is present, if it is on the earth plate, it is a yang spirit and can catch female thieves; if it is on the heaven plate, it is a yin spirit and can catch male thieves. Shao Gong says: If one of the three transmissions forms a crime, collision, destruction, or harm with the day stem and day branch, it is called "Sanhe Fansha," which means a knife hidden in a smile.

On the Gengyin day, the tenth layout: the heavenly stem is on the亥 (Hai) position.

The lesson pattern is determined as "Chong Shen," "Yuan Tai," and "Liu Yi." The lesson meaning states: six harms have turned into six harmonies; the tenth heavenly stem and the post-horse are mixed together; the nobleman has fallen and entered captivity; the wealth hexagram in the night is guarded by the white tiger. Explanation: originally, Shen and Hai, and Si and Yin formed six harms, but later Yin and Hai, and Si and Shen became six harmonies, so all matters first encounter obstacles and then succeed. Shen is the post-horse, Hai is the tenth heavenly stem, and they repeatedly appear in the four lessons and three transmissions, showing a continuous change that cannot be stopped. The nobleman in the day is in the night position, and the nobleman in the night is in the day position, which is already a fall, and further entering captivity, so it is not advisable to seek. The final transmission, Yin wood, representing wealth, is guarded by the white tiger in the night, so it is not advisable to take.

This is a卦 of re-examination, with a structure harmonious to the original form. The initial transmission is emitted by the ritual god within the ten-day cycle. The official of fortune and the post-horse are gathered together, indicating a very auspicious omen. Unfortunately, both the day stem and day branch are riding the qi of depletion and dispersion, which will certainly lead to expenditure. Moreover, within the mutual relationship there is also the inclusion of the sixth harm, so one should examine the timing before taking action.

Heavenly conditions: It suddenly rains and then clears up. Family residence: The house is auspicious and the family is safe. Marriage: It is auspicious to divinate during the day. Pregnancy: It is peaceful. Achieving fame: There will be success, but it will require more expenditure. Seeking wealth: It is suitable to invest together in business. Seeking an audience: It is not beneficial for the nobleman. Illness: A long illness is difficult to cure, especially for the elderly and children. Loss: It can be found, and those who have run away will return on their own. Travel: It is auspicious during the day. Traveler: Will return soon. Disputes: Caused by money, it is suitable to reconcile. Warfare: Be cautious day and night, auspicious in autumn and winter.

The "Bifa Fu" says: When the Heavenly Stems and Earthly Branches meet and combine, trade and exchange are favorable; when there is mutual suspicion, look at the six harmful influences. The "Gujian" records: A person born in the year Guimao, when using the Chén general to divinate the household, says: The day stem and day branch are both drained and weakened, withInauspicious Spirit gathered together; the first transmission is Teng Snake disturbing the official and horse, indicating debt owed to others; the middle transmission approaches the day stem and steals its energy, while the final transmission's wealth爻 is controlled by the White Tiger, indicating the family's fortune gradually declining, reducing by half in four years and completely exhausted in seven years, and also losing the wife. Another case is a person born in the year Gengxu divining illness, saying: The day stem sees the亥, with metal generating water, indicating much cold phlegm and cold saliva; the寅 wood day branch generates the巳 fire, causing restlessness in the mind; both upper and lower are drained and weakened, inevitably leading to vomiting, diarrhea, and seminal emission; the Teng Snake is on the申 and the White Tiger on the寅, causing alternating cold and heat. The divination and transmissions are allInauspicious Spirit, making it difficult to survive for fifty-six days—巳 and亥 each count four, and寅 and申 each count seven, multiplied together to get twenty-eight, and since both are present, it is doubled—what was predicted later all came true.

On the Gengyin day, the eleventh section: the戌 (Xu) is above the dry branch.

The lesson pattern is determined as "涉害", "间传", "斩关", and "登三天". The lesson meaning states: all four positions are occupied by Hekui and Tiangang, indicating unusual actions by the self; however, although there is movement, it is ineffective because both the middle transmission and the final transmission fall into Kongwang. Explanation: Hekui Wu and Tiangang Chen are present on the day stem and day branch, and Tiangang Chen initiates the first transmission, indicating extraordinary actions. However, the middle transmission is exactly in the旬空, and theThe Post-horse of the final transmission also falls into an empty place. Although there is movement, it brings no benefit, and there must be a change or alteration. Good outcomes cannot become good, and bad outcomes cannot become bad.

This is a卦 of involvement and harm, conforming to the pattern of ascending to heaven. The Tiangang (Chen) is present at the day branch and issues the first transmission. The nobleman ascends the heavenly gate, the Tiangang blocks the ghost's entrance, the six spirits are hidden, and the four evils are concealed, forming a true cutting-off pattern. It is most suitable for avoiding danger and concealing one's form, and unfavorable for pursuing fugitives or thieves. Any plans or actions should be cautious of obstruction. The middle and final transmissions are in kongwang and lack strength. When encountering good events, they result in failure and dispersion; when encountering bad events, they lead to resolution and elimination.

Heavenly Weather: It seems rain is coming, but the clouds disperse again; rain will come only after this ten-day period. Home: Unstable, beware of adultery between men and women and people fleeing. Marriage: There is no need to discuss it. Pregnancy: Be careful of harm to the fetus. Official Rank: Only reputation without real benefit. Seeking Wealth: Wasting effort in vain. Disease: Initially seems dangerous, but soon there will be relief. Loss: Hard to find, those who have run away have uncertain whereabouts. Travel: There are obstacles on the way, suitable to avoid, yet difficult to hide. Traveler: Will return immediately. Dispute: Suitable to resolve and end. Warfare: Just a show of strength. Burial: Beware of damage to the tomb.

The *Bifa Fu* says: When the Heavenly Empress combines with Liu He to predict marriage matters, there is no need for a matchmaker; when Tiangang blocks the ghost gate, one can freely plan. The *Ke Jing* says: When Wu is placed on the first day of the ten-day period and rides on Black Tortoise, it forms the "closed mouth" pattern.the so-called "six spirits hidden" refers to Teng Snake at Zi indicating falling into water, Zhu Que at Ji indicating drowning in the river, Gou Chen at Mao indicating imprisonment, Tian Kong at Xun indicating being stripped, Bai Hu at Wu indicating burning, and Yuan Wu at Kun indicating broken legs.the so-called "four evils disappear" refers to the fourStorage (mound warehouses) of Chen, Xu, Chou, and Wei, which areInauspicious Sha (evil spirits), when they appear at Qian, Kun, Gen, and Xun, and fall into the four directions. The *Zhaohan Mijue* says: Among the twelve gods of Jianchu, the ones called Chu, Ding, Kai, and Wei, as well as the directions of Mao and Wei, when they ride on Qinglong, Tai Chang, Tai Yin, and Liu He, can all escape and hide.

On the Gengyin day, the twelfth division: the dry branch is You.

The lesson pattern is identified as "Re-examination," "Progressing with Grains," "Ascending Steps," and "Sudden Leap." Ascending steps refers to the three transmissions proceeding in order through the hours of Chen, Si, and Wu. The lesson meaning states: both person and dwelling are in a strong position, but once they move, they fall into a trap; the day stem and day branch are sitting on the墓 (mound), so the mind cannot be at ease. Explanation: the day stem and day branch both meet the strong god, so person and dwelling are prosperous and safe, and it is advisable to enjoy peace and stability. If one does not stay in the current situation and wait for the right moment, but instead acts recklessly withby chance (侥幸 means侥幸, which is a term for侥幸, which is a term for taking chances), they will immediately fall into a trap. If one can wait patiently, the final transmission will support the initial transmission through mutual generation, leading to smooth and auspicious results. However, since both are sitting on the墓 (mound), it is exactly as said, willing to suffer from darkness and confusion. All three transmissions belong to fire, which drains the day branch and harms the day stem, making it a most auspicious omen for those in official positions, but disadvantageous for ordinary people.

The divination indicates a卦 of re-examination. The three transmissions follow each other in sequence, advancing while containing retreat. The matter does not proceed smoothly. It is advisable to maintain one's proper position and adhere to the correct path. In this way, both people and the dwelling will flourish, and unexpected assistance will be received from outside.

Heavenly Conditions: Clear days are frequent, rainy days are few. Family: People are peaceful, the household is thriving, and it is not advisable to move about recklessly. Marriage: The Azure Dragon is in an empty position, and is also restrained by the Heavenly Empress, making it difficult to discuss, and even if it is concluded, it will not last long. Pregnancy: The fetal energy is stable but the delivery is difficult. Achieving fame and status: It is possible to obtain, but later there will be a lack of a conclusion. Seeking wealth: It is advisable to sit still and keep the substantial assets, and reckless pursuit will bring disaster. Seeking an audience: Two noblemen are in harmony with the lower spirits, and the conversation will certainly be mutually agreeable. Illness: The person will get sick due to improper care, but later it can be cured. Loss: The loss is due to servants stealing it, and it can be recovered. Traveling: It is not advisable to act recklessly. Travelers: They will arrive suddenly. Disputes: Both parties have equal financial and power resources, and in the end, I will win. Warfare: It is advisable to hold the fort and remain still, and the party that moves first will suffer defeat.

The *Bifa Fu* says: When both sides are prosperous, they mutually benefit, and it is suitable to plan matters; when both person and dwelling are in the墓 position, they can only endure the gathering of bad luck. The *Zhipang Fu* says: The three transmissions of Chen, Si, and Wu are called "Shengjie," which allows one to personally go to the capital to witness its grandeur. When the transmissions proceed in sequence and are connected with the falling into Kongwang, it is called "Shengchuan Konggu," meaning the sound echoes in an empty valley. Retreating is auspicious, but advancing is not advisable. The *Shenjiang Lun* says: The initial transmission of Tiangang at Chen governs past matters, and when it is accompanied by Liuhe, it dominates killing. It also says: Liuhe in the sky is the Grand Secretary, governing marriage and festive gatherings; when it falls on the day branch, it is called "Weilǐ," also called "Chijin."

On Xinmao day, first arrangement: Wu above the dry branch.

The lesson pattern is determined as "伏吟," "龙战," "斩关," and "三交." "龙战" refers to the meaning of the sixth line at the top of the Qian hexagram in the Zhou Changes, "the dragon fights in the wild," indicating the struggle between yin and yang at the卯 position. The "lesson meaning" states: mutual cooperation starts off harmonious, but later becomes the punishment of impropriety; since the other side is like this, my side is the same. Explanation: On a辛 day, the heavenly stem is said to be lodged in戌, so辛 is equivalent to戌. The卯 and戌 are in a harmonious relationship, and their mutual interaction leads to harmony in all matters. However, the卯 wood initiates the first transmission, which leads to子 water, forming an improper relationship between子 and卯. The final transmission,午 fire, then conflicts with子 and destroys卯, turning them into enemies. The Bi Fa treatise defines the three transmissions of this lesson as卯,子, and卯.

Fortunes in a hidden chant hexagram indicate a situation where things are bent but cannot be straightened, and where stillness prevails but movement is absent. When the day stem and day branch are in mutual harmony, and the earth plate's stem and branch also form a complete六合, this is exactly what is meant by upper and lower harmony, with both sides in complete agreement. This is most favorable for trade and financial matters, as well as various kinds of negotiations. If one divines during the day and the white tiger is riding on the亥 water, with the亥 position also containing the丁 spirit forming the official ghost, then if the person's birth year is on the亥 position and this hexagram is encountered, the danger is extreme, and even if it falls into the kongwang position, it cannot provide relief.

Heavenly conditions: Fire is above and water is below, but they do not interact, so rain may not fall. Family affairs: The husband and wife are harmonious, and the family is prosperous. Officialdom: The official star is in Kongwang, which is unfavorable for official affairs. Seeking wealth: If divined in the daytime, it is very favorable; if divined at night, there may be much fear. Marriage: The day stem and day branch are in harmony, so the marriage will certainly succeed. Pregnancy: Divining pregnancy is unfavorable; divining childbirth suggests it may take a long time. Illness: There is a problem with the kidneys, but fortunately a good doctor is available, and the illness will soon be cured. Travel: The person and the home are both attached, so they cannot leave immediately. Travelers: Those nearby will arrive soon. Warfare: Divining during the day is favorable; divining at night may bring alarm.

The *Bifa Fu* says: When the upper and lower parts are in harmony, the intentions of both sides are aligned; if the fetal god and wealth爻 are riding on life qi, it indicates the wife is pregnant (this should occur in the fourth month); if the fetal god and wealth爻 are riding on death qi, it indicates a miscarriage (this should occur in the tenth month). The *Liu Ren Zhinan* records: In the year of Geng Chen, during the third month, using the戌 general at the戌 hour to predict childbirth, it says: This is definitely twins, and the children will be born on the戌 day and辰 hour of the eighth month. Why is it said to be twins? Because the month builder overlaps and serves as the fetal god. Why is it said to be two boys? Because the卯 belongs to the Zhen trigram, which represents the elder son; the day stem is Hekui戌, which belongs to the Qian palace, also representing a male. Why is it said to be born in the eighth month? Because the酉 conflicts with the卯 fetal god. Why is it said to be born on the戌 day and辰 hour? Because the戌 is the nurturing god, and the辰 comes to conflict with the戌.
