解曰：丑往加於巳，遂成金局傷干，是家中之人外勾裡連以釀禍也。幸全金生起子水，而晝貴三傳天將，俱來育身，是始雖煎熬，尚賴晝貴人之力，竊其金氣，用以解禍。三傳遞生，以生干上之神而生干。則子之一字，乃全體化煞生身之神，所謂引鬼為生者也。乙干克丑支為財，而支上乘鬼，求財者不免自驚危中取之。干上子，支上酉，謂之首尾相見。

The earthy branch Chou (丑) is placed upon Si (巳), and Si-You-Chou forms a metal triad, which then harms the day stem Yi (乙) wood. This is like family members colluding with outsiders, working together from within and without to bring about misfortune. Fortunately, this entire metal force is transformed to generate Zi (子) water. If the divination is done in the daytime, the nobleman and the three transmissions' heavenly generals all come to nourish the day stem. Thus, although the day stem initially suffers, it ultimately relies on the nobleman's strength to secretly divert the metal energy, thereby resolving the disaster. The three transmissions generate one after another, eventually reaching the heavenly god that nourishes the day stem. Therefore, the character Zi (子) is the key that transforms all the harmful forces into nourishing energy, which is called "leading a ghost to bring life." The wood Yi (乙) overcoming Chou (丑) earth represents wealth, and the day branch is occupied by the official ghost, so those seeking wealth must obtain it through perilous means. The day stem is Zi (子), and the day branch is You (酉), one being the beginning of a ten-day cycle and the other the end, which is called "beginning and end meeting."

斷曰：課名從革，先天後革。凡事多有阻滯，有氣則革而增進，無氣則革而退失。四課發傳，又名驀越，有意外之憂喜。

This lesson is called "From Reform." First, there must be submission, then reform can take place. Matters often encounter obstacles; if the day stem is strong, reform brings progress; if the day stem is weak, reform leads to loss. All three transmissions come from the four lessons, and this is also called "sudden leap," indicating unexpected sorrow or joy.

天時：有雨恐連綿。家宅：宅主健旺，宅母有病；四月占，尤有刑剋。功名：官文兩旺，前程萬里。求謀：革故從新，漸人佳境。婚姻：女貪男家，能主家政。胎產：胎安難產。疾病：咳嗽勞傷之症，十月占之大凶。官訟：始怨終德，終成和好。遺失：是婢女竊去。捕獲：賊黨甚多，急難捕捉。出兵：大獲全勝，彼必自來投誠。

Divination for weather indicates rain, and it is feared that it will be continuous. Divination for the household shows that the male head is strong and vigorous, while the female head is ill. Divination for the month of April indicates that there will be especially severe conflicts and punishments. Divination for official rank shows that the official star and the documents are both strong, indicating a promising future. Divination for planning affairs shows that removing old evils and adopting new methods will gradually lead to improvement. Divination for marriage shows that the female side has chosen the male family, and after the bride moves in, she will be able to manage household affairs. Divination for pregnancy shows that the fetal condition is stable but there will be difficulty in giving birth. Divination for illness shows that it is cough and weakness caused by damage, and if divined in the tenth month, it is very dangerous. Divination for lawsuits shows that there will be initial grievances, later kindness, and eventually reconciliation. Divination for lost items shows that a servant girl has taken them. Divination for capturing thieves shows that there are many thieves in the gang, and it is difficult to capture them at once. Divination for military campaigns shows a great victory, and the enemy will certainly come forward to surrender.

畢法云：眾鬼雖彰全不畏，貴雖在獄宜臨干，一旬周遍始終宜，簾幕貴人高甲第，合中犯煞蜜中砒。指南：二月亥將加卯占會試，傳將遞生，格合周遍，且干支交車生合，主文思滔滔。又朱雀遁丙乘旺，主文詞華麗，高中無疑。

The "Bifa Fu" has five lines that apply to this situation: "Although many ghosts are evident, they are not feared," meaning although official ghosts are numerous, if they are controlled or transformed, there is no need to fear; "Although the nobleman is in prison, it is favorable if it is near the day stem," meaning although the nobleman is in a prison position, if it is near the day stem, it is still useful; "Throughout the ten days, the beginning and end are suitable," meaning both the beginning and the end of the ten-day cycle are complete, with the beginning and end supporting each other; "The nobleman behind the curtain has a high rank," meaning the nobleman behind the curtain is effective, leading to success in exams; "A harmonious combination with a harmful star is like sweet poison," meaning within a harmonious combination, a harmful star is present, like sweet poison. The "Lunin Zhinan" states: in the second month, with the亥 general added to卯, the three transmissions and the heavenly general are in successive generation, forming a proper pattern with the beginning and end fully covered. Combined with the day stem and day branch crossing to generate and harmonize with each other, it indicates abundant literary thoughts. The Vermilion Bird is hidden with the丙 fire and is in a strong position, indicating elegant literary style and certain success.

課體：知一，斫輪，四絕，察微。課義：生虛鬼實，仕宦占吉，夜因神願，祿動危失。

This lesson pattern is "Zhi Yi," combined with "Zhuo Lun," "Si Jue," and "Cha Wei." "Zhuo Lun" refers to the meaning of a carpenter shaping wood into an object, indicating success through skill and authority. The "Ke Yi" explains: the亥 water, which nourishes me, is empty and thus ineffective, while the申 gold, which controls me, is real and represents an official ghost; this ghost is actually beneficial for those in official positions. In a night divination concerning illness, it is necessary to fulfill the spirit's wishes. When the禄 god moves, it indicates danger and loss.

解曰：亥水空而申官實，是隆虛名，受實害也。卦得斫輪，仕宦最宜，武職占之，尤有威權也。夜貴乘鬼，臨干支上，病者宜祈禱神祇，了還香願，方得痊吉。卯為日之祿神，既被申克，晝占乘元，則為閉口；夜占乘虎，又逢丁神，其動如此，病者豈不危乎。晝占簾幕臨干支上，占考試者，當有同里之人，或繫祖輩尊行，暗中摸索，有水乳之投。

The water in the亥 branch is empty, but the metal in the申 branch, representing the official ghost, is real. Therefore, there is only an empty reputation, but real harm is suffered. The divination shows the "Chop Wheel" pattern, which is most suitable for officials. When it is used for military positions, it especially shows authority. The night nobleman is riding on the official ghost, which is located above the day stem and day branch. The patient should pray to the gods and fulfill any vows made in the past to recover. The卯 branch is the禄 of the乙 day, but it has been overcome by the metal in the申 branch. If it is divined during the day with theBlack Tortoise, it forms the "Closed Mouth" pattern. If it is divined at night with theWhite Tiger, it coincides with the丁 spirit being active—this brings the禄 to such a state of instability that the patient cannot avoid danger. If divined during the day, the curtain nobleman is located above the day stem and day branch. For someone taking an exam, they will meet someone from the same hometown or a relative of the same generation, who will secretly help them, and the two will be in harmony like water and milk.

斷曰：生我不生，祿我不祿。求官見貴，雖有喜悅之象，不過深情厚貌而已，難用其力也。密雲不雨，凡百占者，皆宜知機而退，守正待時，自有不期然而然之妙。

The person who should have been born before me is unable to be born, and the one who should have given me a good fortune is unable to do so. Although seeking official positions and relying on the powerful may show signs of happiness, it is only superficial kindness on their part. When trying to rely on their strength, it is not possible. The whole situation is like thick clouds without rain. For all matters, one should know when to retreat, stay on the right path, and wait for the right opportunity. Naturally, wonderful things will come unexpectedly.

天時：有風，微雨。家宅：尊長有災，防損小口，宅母當權，土木興工。仕宦：任所不遠，恐不能久任。功名：晝占可望中式，但恐未必正榜。求財：只宜得本分之財，不能大旺。婚姻：夜占主貴介之女，人亦端好，但不能助夫益子。疾病：胃口不開，肺家亦有病，急還家堂舊願，醫人不得力，秋防加病。胎產：雖是男胎，恐是虛喜。出行：宜於水路，利見貴人。行人：馬空未至。行師：不宜躁動，為主者勝。遺失：在門內尋。捕獲：四月占之，即見擒獲。

Divination on fame shows that one may expect to pass the examination in the daytime, but it is uncertain whether one will be on the official list. Divination on seeking wealth shows that one should only take one's due share, and it is unlikely to get great wealth. Divination on marriage shows that if divined at night, the woman comes from a noble family, and her character is upright, but she cannot help her husband or benefit her children. Divination on illness shows that the appetite is poor, and there is also illness in the lungs. One should quickly settle old family vows; the doctor will not be effective, and in autumn one should beware of worsening illness. Divination on pregnancy shows that although it is a male fetus, it may be just empty joy. Divination on travel shows that it is suitable to travel by water, and it is favorable to meet a nobleman. Divination on a missing person shows that the person is still inside the door. Divination on capturing a fugitive shows that if divined in April, the person can be captured immediately. Divination on military operations shows that one should not be hasty or reckless, and by holding one's position one will win. Divination on losing something shows that one should look for it inside the door. Divination on capturing a fugitive shows that if divined in April, the person can be captured immediately.

畢法云：避難逃生須棄舊，閉口凡占莫測機，鬼乘天乙乃神祇。玉成歌云：日鬼加臨辰兩課，必然官吏到門庭。

The Three Verses from the "Bi Fa Fu" apply to this situation: "To escape danger and save oneself, one must abandon the old path," meaning to get out of trouble one must give up the old way and find a new one; "When the mouth is closed, all divinations cannot reveal the hidden mechanism," meaning when the reading is of a closed mouth, no one can uncover the hidden meaning; "If the ghost is riding the Heavenly Ethical Person, it is a divine being," meaning if the official ghost is accompanied by a nobleman, it is not human trouble but supernatural interference, requiring prayers and offerings. The "Yu Cheng Ge" states that when the day stem's official ghost is placed on the two lessons of the day branch, officials and enforcers will certainly come to the door.

課體：反吟，稼穡，斬關，關格。課義：日墓臨支，宅有伏尸，三傳俱陷，妻喪財遺。

解曰：支乘墓虎，則有伏尸。今未為乙之墓，雖臨干支，而晝夜貴神，並未乘虎。然亦以伏尸同論者，虎異而墓同也。三傳往來俱陷於空，而皆屬於妻財，則占妻者必有鼓盆之患，占財者必有致寇之凶，謂之妻喪財遺，不亦宜乎。朱雀主文章，陷空無氣，必然抄襲舊文，不明題旨。春秋占諸事獲吉。丑加未，夜將乘青龍，主有雨。

In spring and autumn, predictions about various matters can be favorable. The earth branch of Chou is placed on the earth branch of Wei, and the night general is accompanied by the Azure Dragon, indicating rain.

斷曰：反吟之卦，孤神無依，事多反覆，百凡疑滯。三傳皆財神往來，必有因財而起爭端者。斬關發用，有逃亡避難之象。傳見孤辰，有別離鄉井之象。

The "Reverse Chant" hexagram indicates a situation where the divine spirit is isolated and lacks support, leading to many reversals and hesitations in affairs, with everything obstructed. All three transmissions involve the Wealth God coming and going, indicating that someone is likely to cause disputes over money. The "Cutting the Gate" spirit initiates the transmission, suggesting a tendency to flee or seek refuge. The three transmissions also encounter Guchen, indicating a situation of leaving home and traveling away.

天時：乍晴乍雨。家宅：人口不安，宅東有女入墓作祟。婚姻：晝占女子甚秀美，即恐有破敗之者。胎產：應得女胎，生亦易育。考試：文字空虛，不貼書意。求財：主有爭鬥。疾病：口舌起病，不思飲食，即好亦防翻覆。出行：水路可行，恐中道而返。行人：近者即至。遺失：在舊地尋覓。捕獲：逃去已遠。出兵：須別尋良策，庶可建功。

Divination about the family home indicates that the household is not peaceful, and that a deceased woman is causing trouble in the east part of the house. Divination about marriage, when done in the daytime, shows that the woman is very beautiful, but there is fear that someone will interfere. Divination about pregnancy indicates that a female child is expected, and that the child will be easy to raise. Divination about an examination shows that the writing is empty and does not match the meaning of the classics. Divination about seeking wealth indicates that there will be disputes. Divination about illness shows that the illness arises from verbal disputes, and that the person will lose appetite; even if it improves, there is a risk of relapse. Divination about travel shows that water routes are possible, but there is fear of returning halfway. Divination about a traveler shows that someone nearby will arrive soon. Divination about lost items shows that one should search at the original place. Divination about capturing a person shows that the person has already fled far away. Divination about going to war shows that another plan must be considered in order to achieve success.

畢法云：全財病體難擔荷，來去俱空豈動移。玉成歌云：反吟占事休言定，往復雙雙兩事因，常占須主身搖動，不動人情有怨心。

The "Bifa Fu" has two lines that apply to this situation: "Full wealth and a weak day stem cannot bear the burden," meaning that although there is much wealth, the day stem is weak and unable to carry the load; "Coming and going all fall into empty positions, how can there be movement?" indicating that all the words related to movement fall into empty positions, so there can be no actual movement. The "Yucheng Ge" says that in reverse chant divination, one should not make definite predictions, as coming and going are bound to involve two matters. Normally, this suggests that the person's body will move, but if there is no movement, resentment may accumulate in social relationships.

課體：重審，勵德，天獄。課義：凶裡藏利，迤邐而至，晝傳夾克，寅全死氣。

This divination lesson's "Lesson Pattern" is "Re-examination," combined with "Encouragement of Virtue" and "Heavenly Prison." "Heavenly Prison" indicates the Nobleman is in the position of imprisonment. The four lines of "Lesson Meaning" explain that the metal of酉 is strong and overcomes the wood of乙, which is originally凶 (adverse), but within this adversity there is hidden benefit, which progresses through each transmission until the final one, turning into wealth. However, since this divination was cast in the daytime, the three transmissions are all subject to being夹克 (constricted by mutual conflict), and thus this wealth is entirely extinguished, unattainable.

解曰：酉來克乙，可謂凶矣。得支上午火克之，遂迤邐至末，皆為財也。但三傳晝占皆係夾克，則財已無氣，而費用百出，爭競多端，豈能安享而無事乎。干上克初，初克中，中克末，為求財大獲。酉為日鬼，午火剋制酉金，所謂制鬼之位乃良醫也。占病當有本家親人醫治，占災亦有人解救，占訟亦有人辨雪。酉為明鬼，午遁庚為暗鬼。干酉支午，又為四勝煞。凡占皆有自逞其能，邀功見美之意。

When seeking wealth, there is great potential for gain. You is the official ghost for Yi day, and the fire of Wu can overcome the metal of You, which is exactly what the "Bi Fa Fu" says, "Controlling the ghost's position is like a good doctor." When divining illness, there is a family relative who will take charge of the treatment; when divining disaster, someone will come to rescue; when divining legal matters, someone will defend the person. You is an open ghost, while the hidden ghost is the hidden metal of Geng, which is concealed. The presence of You on the day stem and Wu on the day branch forms the "Si Sheng Sha," meaning that all divinations carry the implication of showing off one's abilities and striving for recognition.

斷曰：此課三傳全受夾克，凡事不能由己，忍耐為佳。

天時：水升火降，當有雨。家宅：主有火燭血光之災，陰私口舌之事。求財：必主大獲，耗費亦重。婚姻：干支俱乘桃花咸池，不成為妙。胎產：是雙生，一男一女。出行：正九月不利遠行。行人：傳墓為來，行人遠至。捕亡：易獲。遺失：在木櫃上尋。出兵：多在中途止息，大宜防夜。

Divination for the household: there will be disasters involving fire and candles, as well as hidden private affairs and disputes over words. Divination for seeking wealth: there will certainly be great gains, but heavy expenses will also occur. Divination for marriage: the day stem and day branch both have taohua and xianchi, so it is better not to marry. Divination for pregnancy: it will be twins, one male and one female. Divination for travel: it is not suitable to travel far in the first and ninth months. Divination for a missing person: the three transmissions return to the tomb, meaning the person will return, and those who have traveled far can also return home. Divination for capturing a fugitive: it is easy to catch them. Divination for lost items: look for them in a wooden cabinet. Divination for military campaigns: the army will mostly stop halfway, especially beware of night attacks.

畢法云：賓主不投刑在上，制鬼之位乃良醫。古鑑：八月卯將加戌占脫保正。此名官鬼纏身，初傳功曹，身已入官，焉能得脫。乙見酉官，螣蛇纏繞，必被勒認。初傳天空，不認即當入獄。中傳天后，認即無事。末傳勾陳，子未相穿，斷然難脫，脫亦復作。支上午作太陰，與我關說，卻為他人作內鬼也。

This divination is called "Official Ghosts Surrounding," with the first transmission being Gongcao (Yin) on 寅 (Yin), indicating that the body has already fallen into the official's hands, how can one escape? The 乙 wood is seen by 酉 (You) metal official ghost, and is also entangled by Teng Snake, it is certain that one will be forced to accept the position. The first transmission is riding Tian Kong, if one refuses to accept, one will be imprisoned; the middle transmission is riding Heavenly Empress, if one accepts, there will be no problem; the final transmission is riding Gou Chen, with 子 (Zi) and 未 (Wei) conflicting, it is certain that one cannot escape, even if one temporarily escapes, one will have to face it again. The day branch's 午 (Wu) fire is riding Tai Yin, seemingly helping me, but in reality, it is acting as an inside informant for others.

課體：重審，狡童，從革。課義：俗庶難任，病訟俱興，守官宜卜，俸倍職升。

This divination case has a "Lesson Pattern" of "Re-examination," combined with "Cunning Youth" and "Metallurgical Change." The four lines of "Lesson Meaning" explain that the three transmissions form a metal pattern, which specifically overcomes the wood of Yi. However, if an official is consulting, the repeated appearance of the official star is actually a good omen, indicating doubled salary and promotion in position.

解曰：純金克身，末傳乘虎，庶民遇之，豈能免於病訟。若夜占乃貴德臨身，能除一切凶咎。官爻重疊，而催官又臨宅上，仕宦得此，知必能升俸增秩矣。金局並來傷干，晝占凶不可遏。若用夜貴，則初傳酉金上被蛇克，下被巳傷，又被中傳丑土來墓，末傳巳火來克，則酉金全然無力。酉加巳為胎坐長生，大宜占孕，不利占產。又丑加酉為腹胎格，來人值此，必占妻孕。緣丑為腹，酉胎在腹內也。

But if night nobleman is used instead, the initial transmission's酉 metal is overcome by the Teng Snake, injured by巳 fire, and then stored away by the middle transmission's丑 earth. The final transmission's巳 fire again injures it, so the酉 metal is completely ineffective. When酉 is placed on巳, it is in the long life position, which is most suitable for divination about pregnancy but not for childbirth. Moreover, when丑 is placed on酉, it forms the 'Abdominal Pregnancy' pattern. Those who encounter this pattern are asking about their wife's pregnancy, because丑 represents the abdomen and酉 represents the fetus, which is in the womb.

斷曰：從革之課，革故鼎新，事主冗雜不一，動搖不定。凡占諸事，皆遲疑不進之象。

Divination on travel suggests that long journeys are not advisable, but traveling by land may meet a nobleman. Divination on a traveler indicates that he will return after gaining profit. Divination on capturing a fugitive indicates that he can be caught. Divination on lost items indicates that two women in the family have taken them. Divination on military action suggests that great care and deliberation are needed.

畢法云：貴雖坐獄宜臨干，鬼乘天乙乃神祇，后合占婚豈用媒，眾鬼雖彰全不畏，制鬼之位乃良醫，傳墓入墓分憎愛。中黃經云：日辰衰木見真金，三傳無火卻成迍。

This lesson's "Lesson Pattern" is "Re-examination," combined with "Cutting the Gate," "Prosperity and Wealth," "Mound," and "Incomplete Yin." "Incomplete Yin" refers to the absence of one Yin spirit among the four lessons. The "Lesson Meaning" consists of four lines, which state: the Day Stem and Day Branch are both covered by the Mound Spirit, so people and their homes are like being in a fog, unable to see clearly; matters will need to be delayed and entangled before they can be resolved; ultimately, wife and wealth will come together.

解曰：墓覆干支，人宅昏滯，夜占未蛇更凶。乙畏未墓，歸干支上，辰遁為戊，而丑中有癸，戊與癸合，則妻財聚矣。干上雖作日財，卻遁旬中干鬼。謂之財遁鬼格，必因財致禍，因食喪身，因妻致訟。春丑、夏辰、秋未、冬戌為關神。秋占此課，乃干墓作關神發用，人口有災。晝貴地盤旬首，上神乘武，亦為閉口卦。

TheTomb Spirit is covering over the day stem and day branch, causing people and homes to be dull and blocked. If this is divined at night and theTeng Snake is not on top of it, it becomes even more dangerous. The wood of 乙 is most afraid of theStorage 未, and it happens to be located on the day stem and day branch. The辰 is hidden with the earth of 戊 in the ten-day cycle, and the丑 contains the water of 癸. Since 戊 and 癸 are in harmony, wife and wealth are gathered together. Although the god on the day stem is considered the wealth of the day stem, it is hidden by the heavenly stem that controls the day stem in the ten-day cycle, which is called the "wealth hidden by the ghost pattern." This will certainly bring misfortune due to wealth, death from food, or legal trouble from the wife. In spring, the key god is 丑; in summer, it is 辰; in autumn, it is 未; and in winter, it is 戌. When divining in autumn, the key god is theStorage of the day stem, which is used as the initiating transmission, indicating that there will be disaster among the family members. When divining in the daytime, the nobleman's footstep is on the beginning of the ten-day cycle, and the upper god is riding on the Black Tortoise, which is also called the "closed mouth" hexagram.

斷曰：三傳俱財，財多反不如意。中間見阻，卻喜相沖，沖散凶事，大宜解釋憂疑。然中末傳空，百事逢之，到底歸於散漫。

The Three Transmissions are all wealth hexagrams, and having too many wealth hexagrams actually prevents success. There is an obstacle in the middle, but fortunately there is a conflicting deity that disperses the misfortune, so this situation is most suitable for relieving worries and doubts. However, both the Middle Transmission and the Final Transmission fall into emptiness, and whenever things meet them, they ultimately result in scattered efforts and no achievement.

天時：晝占雨，夜占晴。家宅：人宅不能光明，卻藏秀氣；妻妾歡寧，兒孫詩禮。仕宦：晝占可望升遷，夜占遲滯。求財：須要循分守義。婚姻：可以出贅。疾病：主吐逆驚傷，或氣沖而食不化，醫在西南方，延之可治。出行：必有阻滯。行人：立至。胎產：男胎，立產。出兵：始雖相持，終歸和好。

Divination for weather: During the day, it indicates rain; at night, it indicates clear skies. Divination for the household: Both people and the house are not bright, but there is a hidden elegance within; the wife and concubines are harmonious and peaceful, and the sons and daughters are knowledgeable and respectful. Divination for official career: During the day, it indicates the possibility of promotion; at night, it indicates delay. Divination for seeking wealth: One must be upright and abide by righteousness. Divination for marriage: It is suitable to marry into a woman's family. Divination for illness: It indicates vomiting and regurgitation, being startled and suffering internal injuries, or qi rising upward causing food to be undigested; if a doctor is from the southwest, he can cure the illness. Divination for travel: There will be obstacles. Divination for a traveler: He will arrive soon. Divination for childbirth: It is a male fetus, and delivery will occur immediately. Divination for military action: Although there is initial stalemate, in the end, peace will be achieved.

畢法云：干支乘墓各昏迷，全財病體難擔荷，干墓並關人宅廢；賓主不投刑在上。指南：二月亥將加申，占起復進京。曰：干支乘墓，時未亨通。干神歸支，利靜不利動。中末空亡，半途而返。青龍居干發用，今年卻當起官。年上酉為印信，陰神見貴生日，必補尚寶(按：官名)之職。

The "Liu Ren Zhuan Nan" records a case: in the second lunar month with the亥 general added to 申, predicting the end of mourning and resuming official duties to go to the capital. The interpretation states: the day stem and day branch are both in their墓 position, indicating that the time is not yet favorable; the god of the day stem is located in the day branch, which is favorable for stillness rather than movement; the middle and final transmissions are empty, meaning the journey will be interrupted halfway. However, the Azure Dragon is in the day stem and initiates the transmission, indicating that the person will eventually be restored to official status this year; the year's branch is酉, which is the seal, and the hidden god sees a nobleman benefiting the day stem, indicating that the person will certainly be appointed to a position such as the Superintendent of the Imperial Seal.

課體：重審，間傳，龍德，涉三淵。課義：脫空晝迎，祿作元丁，干官貴怒，凶吉無成。

"Passing Three Deep Waters" refers to the three transmissions passing through three deep waters successively, with each step being difficult. The "Lesson Meaning" states: the god in the Heaven position has both escaped its energy and fallen into emptiness; the卯禄 (Mao禄) is riding the Black Tortoise and hides the Ding while acting recklessly; seeking official positions and visiting the nobleman meets the nobleman who is angry; both the middle and the end are empty, so both good and bad outcomes fail to materialize.

解曰：午乘天空，脫干之氣，而能制初傳之申鬼，亦一救神也。卯祿乘丁，晝占作武，恐因祿動而耗費也。夜貴坐克，日貴入獄，干貴者不逢其喜而逢其怒也。中末皆空，則吉凶兩不成矣。祿臨支上，謂之權攝不正。凡占不自尊貴，受屈於人，或遙授職祿，或受宅上之祿，或將本身之祿，替於兒孫，六乙日皆同。未加巳為兩蛇夾墓，占病必有積塊，占訟必被囚禁，占事必見凶禍。干上脫氣乘空，名脫空格。凡占無中生有，全無實際，所謂脫上逢脫防虛詐也。

However, it can also control the first transmission's metal official ghost of Shen, so it is considered a rescuing deity. The卯 is the禄神 of the day stem Yi, and it is hidden by Ding. During the day, if it rides on Yuan Wu, there is a fear of the禄神 being shaken and causing loss. The night nobleman is sitting in a position that is being attacked, while the day nobleman falls into prison. Seeking the nobleman for help, one might not meet him in a favorable mood, but instead meet him when he is angry. Both the middle and final transmissions fall into Kongwang, so neither good nor bad outcomes can be achieved. The禄神 is on the day branch, called 'authority not properly held': in all divinations, one should not take a position of honor, but rather suffer委屈, or take a position remotely, or receive the salary of the household head, or give one's own salary to one's children. This applies to all six days of Yi. The巳 is added to the 未, forming 'two snakes surrounding the tomb', which indicates for illness there will be痞块 accumulation, for lawsuits imprisonment, and for matters, a certain misfortune. The day stem has lost its energy and is riding on Kongwang, called 'loss and emptiness', all divinations are without real substance, entirely empty, which is exactly what the "Bi Fa Fu" says: 'loss meets loss, beware of false claims'.

斷曰：此卦事多隔手，有不能退，不能遂之象。

This hexagram indicates that the matter at hand will require going through a third party, leading to difficulties in both directions: one cannot retreat and also cannot fulfill the wish.

天時：主晴。家宅：夜占得賢妻，生好子，晝占多虛耗，防失脫。婚姻：女貪男家，亦可入贅，夜占女美。疾病：醫人得力，雖危無害。胎產：男喜，八月占即生。行人：寅午日來。仕宦：可作佐貳。出行：宜從水路。遺失：財神空，恐難尋。捕亡：晝占往北方，夜占往南方。出兵：勞而無功。

Divination about illness indicates that the doctor is capable, and although the illness is dangerous, it will not result in death. Divination about pregnancy indicates the birth of a son, and if divined in the eighth month, delivery will occur immediately. Divination about a traveler indicates that he will return on a day of the tiger or the horse. Divination about official career suggests the possibility of holding a deputy position. Divination about travel indicates that it is favorable to travel by water. Divination about losing something indicates that the god of wealth is absent, and the item is likely to be difficult to find. Divination about capturing a fugitive indicates that if done during the day, one should search to the north; if done at night, one should search to the south. Divination about military action indicates labor without success.

畢法云：權攝不正祿臨支，兩貴受克難干貴；鬼乘天乙乃神祇，人宅皆死各衰羸。涉三淵詩云：孟動不動涉三淵，申戌子兮在日前；進退艱難還萬狀，雖然對面隔層天。

The "Bifa Fu" has four lines that apply to this situation: "The authority is not properly held, the official's fortune is in the day branch," meaning the official's fortune is located in the day branch, and the position is not legitimate; "Two noblemen are overcome, it is difficult to gain favor," meaning both the day and night noblemen are overcome, and seeking help from the nobleman is not possible; "The ghost rides the nobleman, it is a divine spirit," meaning the official ghost rides the nobleman, indicating a divine disturbance; "Both person and dwelling are in death qi, each is weak and declining," meaning both the person and the dwelling are in death qi, and each is in a state of decline. The attached "She San Yuan Shi" says: wanting to move but unable to move, just like crossing three deep abysses; the three transmissions are Shen, Xu, and Zi, all placed before the day stem; advancing and retreating are both extremely difficult, even if standing face to face, it feels as if there is a heaven between them.

課體：元首，進茹，羅網，夾定格。課義：支干拱傳，惟喜春占，疑凶凶有，向後災潛。

This lesson's "Lesson Pattern" is "Yuan Shou," combined with "Jin Ru," "Luo Wang," and "Jia Ding Ge." "Luo Wang" means being easily constrained, while "Jia Ding Ge" refers to the heavenly stems and earthly branches enclosing the middle position. The "Lesson Meaning" states that the heavenly stems and earthly branches enclose the three transmissions; in spring divination, this is considered favorable. People may suspect it as ominous, and indeed there is an element of danger, but it is currently hidden and will manifest later.

解曰：干乙支丑，夾拱寅卯辰在內，會而為木，克身克宅，凶誠不免也。春則貪其生旺，不為害矣。若一休囚，便出而為災，故疑其凶，凶未始不有也，但潛伏而向後乃發耳。所謂“旺相相生災未發，死囚刑剋便災臨”者是也。冬春占又為三陽課，天乙左行，陽氣順也，一、日辰在天乙前，陽氣伸也，二、用神旺相，陽氣進也，三、占此者凡事吉慶。

The day stem is Yi and the day branch is Chou, with Yin, Mao, and Chen sandwiched in between. The three characters form a continuous wood element, which both overcomes the self and the dwelling爻, leading to inevitable misfortune. If this occurs in spring, when the wood is vigorous and flourishing, it does not become harmful. However, once it enters a period of decline and weakness, it will emerge to cause disaster. Therefore, people may suspect it as harmful, but the harm is not absent; it is merely temporarily hidden and will manifest later. This is what the old saying means: when the element is prosperous and mutually generating, disaster does not occur; but once it reaches decline and suffers from overcoming, disaster will strike. When this situation occurs in winter or spring, it is called the "Three Yang Lesson." The nobleman moves smoothly to the left, indicating smooth yang energy, which is the first point; the day branch comes before the nobleman, indicating the expansion of yang energy, which is the second point; the useful god is in a prosperous state, indicating the advancement of yang energy, which is the third point. Those who receive the Three Yang Lesson will have all things favorable and auspicious.

斷曰：聯茹而進，順時而動，吉無不利矣。春占正當交泰之時，依門傍戶，可顯功名，亦防有兄弟牽連之禍。

The Three Transmissions proceed like a cluster of reeds with continuous growth, advancing step by step in accordance with the seasons, auspicious and suitable for all matters. In spring, when heaven and earth are in harmonious union, they are close to households and can bring fame and achievement; however, one should also beware of misfortunes arising from connections with siblings.

天時：先雨後晴。家宅：主不聚財，且防孝服。胎產：女胎易產，頗亦伶俐。婚姻：女家多有口舌欺誑。疾病：棺槨煞見，占病大凶。干謁：且宜止息，不利正五九月。求財：劫財重重，不能生聚。捕獲：恐被傷。遺失：恐夾帶在人身上。出兵：申嚴號令，須防間諜。

Divination about the weather shows that rain comes first and then clears up. Divination about the household indicates that wealth will not stay, and there should be caution about funerals in the house. Divination about pregnancy shows a female fetus, which is easy to give birth to, and the child is quite intelligent. Divination about marriage indicates that there will be disputes and deceit in the woman's family. Divination about illness shows the appearance of a coffin and凶煞, indicating a serious illness. Divination about someone visiting suggests it is better to temporarily put it off, especially in the first, fifth, and ninth months. Divination about seeking wealth shows that the gods taking away wealth are numerous, and wealth cannot be accumulated. Divination about capturing a criminal suggests the possibility of being injured by the thief. Divination about losing something suggests the item may be carried on someone's person. Divination about military action suggests strict orders should be given and caution should be taken against enemy spies.

畢法云：所謀多拙遭羅網，彼此猜忌害相隨。通神集云：起日離辰，不出家庭(謂四課三傳，皆寅卯辰巳午也)。玉成歌云：三傳帶合須干謁，類就其干眾所占(如甲乙日見寅卯入傳也)。括囊賦云：內出外而己求，陽人陰而被索。

The "Bifa Fu" has two lines that apply to this situation: "All plans are clumsy and fall into a trap," meaning the plans are awkward and lead into a trap; "Mutual suspicion brings harm," meaning both sides are suspicious of each other, and harm follows closely. The "Tongshen Ji" says: beginning from the day stem and separating from the day branch, the matter will not go beyond the family door—meaning all four lessons and three transmissions revolve within the years of寅, 卯, 辰, 巳, and 午. The "Yucheng Ge" says: if the three transmissions include theLiu He, it is most appropriate to go and make a request; when similar spirits gather around the day stem, it means many people are seeking the matter I am divining—such as when on a Jia or Yi day, the寅 and 卯 appear in the transmission. The "Kuanang Fu" says: moving from inside to outside means the person themselves is seeking someone else; when a yang spirit enters a yin spirit, it means someone else is coming to claim something.
