Charting guides: Da Liu Ren Chart Calculator, Jin Kou Jue Chart

This lesson has two patterns: "Comparison and Use" indicates the first transmission, and when there are multiple instances of mutual control among the four lessons, the one that shares the same yin-yang with the day stem is chosen as the initiating transmission. "Casting the Seal" indicates promotion and advancement in official rank. The lesson meaning says: both the day stem and day branch are covered by the tomb deity; when divining at night, the first transmission involves the hour of zi and wei, which are in conflict, and the one being harmed is the nobleman, indicating difficulty in legal matters. However, the two noblemen are respectively located on the person and the dwelling, suggesting that affairs will gradually improve and the household will gradually flourish—because the nature of the tomb deity is sluggish, so it can only be described as "gradual."

The explanation says: "Wei is the墓 of wood, and Chou is the墓 of metal. The Jia wood day stem is covered by Wei, and the Shen metal day branch is covered by Chou. Both sides are obscure and unclear. When divining at night, the first transmission is Zi, which conflicts with Wei. Wei is exactly where the night nobleman is located. The nobleman is harmed by the conflict. Can the lawsuit still be won? However, if the divination is about the person and the house, the two noblemen are exactly one on the person and one on the house. Human affairs will certainly be smooth, and the household will certainly flourish. The reason it is called 'gradual' is because the墓 spirits are inherently slow. Moreover, both noblemen are in Kongwang. At present, it is only empty joy. When the current ten-day period is over, they will gradually move towards a path of smoothness and success."

The interpretation states: This is a case of knowing one lesson. The day stem and day branch are both covered by the tomb deity, so all matters are dark and obstructed, difficult to proceed smoothly. Fortunately, the tomb deity is precisely on the empty void, thus revealing a faint light from the darkness, turning difficulties into blessings. However, the first transmission lacks strength, so any plans or endeavors will be empty and not substantial. Only those who are monks, Taoists, or solitary individuals will find it very auspicious.

Questioning the weather: If it is predicted to be clear, the clear weather will not last long. If it is predicted to rain, one must wait until after this ten-day period. Questioning about a residence: It is suitable to renovate or rebuild; after renovation, a nobleman will appear. Questioning about marriage: It will take some time before the marriage is completed. Questioning about pregnancy: The child is expected to be a girl. Questioning about official rank: A nobleman will recommend with false reputation. Questioning about seeking wealth: There will be secret gifts from others, but they cannot be obtained at the moment. Questioning about illness: A long-term illness is not advisable. Questioning about lost items: The Black Tortoise deity overpowers the Gou Chen deity, indicating that the police will not catch the thief. Questioning about travel: The journey should be postponed. Questioning about a traveler: The traveler will arrive soon. Questioning about disputes: The dispute can be resolved. Questioning about warfare: One should be cautious of losing the troops. Questioning about burial: It can produce a nobleman, but the earth sign 'Chou' is conflicting with the fire sign 'Wu', so one should be cautious of a wild animal hole in the tomb or water erosion.

The *Bifa Fu* says: When the day stem and day branch each ride on their respectiveTomb Spirit (mound deities), both sides are obscure and unclear; if the initiating transmission god harms the nobleman, even if there is reason in a lawsuit, it will still be judged as unjust. The *Gujian* records: A teacher was born in the year Xinwei. In the year Wushen, at the hour of Hai, he consulted about his future. It was predicted: The day stem and day branch are both suppressed by the mound, and the useful god harms the nobleman, so his career will be obstructed and difficult to advance; the term Si indicates a closed mouth, meaning no sons; this year there will be calamity, and one must beware of being treated by an unskilled physician; by the year Gengshen, his life will end. Later, it indeed came true. Another instance: using the same divination to consult about the family residence, it was predicted: There is a grave pit beneath the stove; if the stove is moved, those strange noises and shadows will disappear; digging five feet below the third room's warm chamber will certainly uncover a burial site of an elder; once moved, the place will become peaceful. Following this advice, it proved to be accurate.

On the Jiashen day, the ninth section: dry morning.

This lesson has five patterns: the first is "Original Head"; "Mo Xue" refers to the three transmissions being Shen, Zi, and Chen, forming a water pattern, which represents the nature of water to moisten and descend. The second is "Li De," meaning it is advisable to keep silent. The third is "Mo Yue," which means the first transmission is derived from the hidden spirit of the day branch, indicating that events come suddenly. The lesson interpretation says: people are numerous but the house is narrow, my side succeeds while the other side fails. The day stem's Wu fire both drains my energy and falls into Kongwang. Fortunately, the three transmissions' water pattern can overcome the Wu fire, resolving this issue of emptiness.

It explains that the combination of Shen, Zi, and Chen forms a water trinity, with water coming to nourish the day stem Jia wood and to release the energy of the day branch Shen metal. When discussing people and their dwellings, this indicates a thriving population but a narrow house; when discussing both sides, it suggests that my side succeeds while the other side fails. Generally, when the spirits of parents, wife's wealth, and official ghosts fall into Kongwang, they lose their power. However, if the spirit of my offspring falls into Kongwang, it is called "Kongtuo," which drains my vital energy and is even more dangerous. Fortunately, the three transmissions form a water trinity now, which is sufficient to overcome the fire of Wu, thus resolving the issue of Kongtuo.

The interpretation states: This is a lesson of the sovereign, and it forms a harmonious water pattern of nourishment and flow. All matters will proceed smoothly, with things often initiated by men; there is a situation of superior controlling the inferior, which is open and upright. It is favorable to take the initiative rather than lag behind, and to act rather than remain inactive. The Tiangang (Chen) is located on theYin Spirit (yin spirit) of the day branch and initiates the transmission. At the beginning, there will be a sudden change, followed by instability and restlessness. Only those like the wise who delight in water can bear this pattern. Because it combines the dignity of the sovereign with the image of nourishment and flow, it is appropriate to widely bestow kindness and benefit others, which aligns with its favorable aspects.

Inquiring about the weather: there will be much rain and dew. Inquiring about the residence: there are many people but the house is narrow, and one should beware of thieves coming from the waterway near the river. Inquiring about marriage: it is not advisable. Inquiring about childbirth: it indicates the birth of a girl, and one should beware of illness in the womb and difficulties during childbirth. Inquiring about official rank: someone will recommend you, and it is favorable in autumn and winter; the position you will be assigned is mostly related to river defense and water conservancy. Inquiring about seeking wealth: the source is improper, and even after obtaining it, one should beware of loss and leakage. Inquiring about visiting: there is a mixture of compatibility and discord. Inquiring about illness: it indicates diarrhea and exhaustion, and Tiangang (Chen) also acts as theTomb Spirit (mùshén, tomb god), making the overall situation very ominous. Inquiring about lost items: the item has not left the house, but it is difficult to find. Inquiring about travel: one should beware of loss. Inquiring about a traveler: there will be a letter arriving first. Inquiring about disputes: the cause is theft and loss, and it is difficult to resolve. Inquiring about warfare: using naval forces is favorable, and it is best to cease hostilities and negotiate peace. Inquiring about burial: it indicates water disasters and losses due to thieves, and it is not advisable to bury the wife and concubines above the ancestral tomb.

The Bi Fa Fu says: When both the person and the dwelling fall under death qi, both sides are weak and declining; when the harmonious relationship involvesInauspicious Sha, it is like sweet honey mixed with arsenic; if the three transmissions turn to each other in mutual generation, there will certainly be someone who recommends the person. The Guan Jing Xing says: If all three transmissions are water, it forms a situation of moistening and descending, and the origin of the matter lies in water; if suddenly thieves appear and the Black Tortoise takes control, worries will be doubled.

On the day of Jiashen, the tenth layout: the stem is on the巳 position.

This divination lesson has two patterns: Re-examination and Original Fetus. The meaning of the lesson states: The four branches巳, 亥, 寅, and 申 conflict with each other and also mutuallyrestrain; at the same time, they generate and support each other. Two noblemen are trapped in prison, so the day stem is certainly angry. The first transmission 申 is both a dead place and transforms into official ghost, which is most alarming. The final transmission 寅 escapes out as 庚 metal, the post-horse carries the white tiger from night divination, this movement and change is no small matter.

It is explained that巳 and亥 are in opposition, and寅 and申 are also in opposition; between申, 寅, 亥, and巳 there is a further layer of mutual control. Yet these four branches are all in the four beginning positions of growth, and they also form aLiu He. Therefore, between the course of transmission and the day stem and day branch, there is both mutual opposition and control, as well as mutual generation and harmony. Both noblemen are trapped in the prison position, so the day stem must be angry. The first transmission,申, is both the dead place for 甲 wood and transforms into official ghost, which is most alarming. The final transmission,寅, escapes out of 庚 metal, equivalent to the post-horse carrying the white tiger of night divination; such a change is certainly no small matter.

The interpretation states: This is a case of re-examination, indicating that things are mostly not going smoothly, with the cause lying on the side of a young woman. The pattern also aligns with the original form, suggesting hesitation and indecision. The Azure Dragon has broken its horn, indicating a loss of sharpness and determination, and punishments and conflicts are inevitable. One should carefully examine the situation before taking action, and avoid rash movements that may lead to blame.

Questioning the weather: there will be rain, but one should beware of strong winds and hail. Questioning the residence: one should beware of disputes and loss of money. Questioning marriage: it is not advisable, only daytime divination is acceptable. Questioning pregnancy: the spirit of the fetus is in a place of failure and decline, one should beware of injury. Questioning officialdom: it can be successful, but one should beware of obstacles along the way. Questioning seeking wealth: one should beware of legal troubles caused by money. Questioning illness: the spirit of closure is present on the body, indicating stroke with inability to speak and loss of appetite. Questioning lost items: difficult to find. Questioning travel: one should beware of being startled, and going to seek help from others will not be smooth. Questioning a traveler: still on the way. Questioning disputes: there will be a great deal of anxiety and worry, but eventually it will be resolved and dispersed. Questioning warfare: it is auspicious, but the auspiciousness is not pure.

The "Bifa Fu" says: When the White Tiger is riding on the hidden official ghost within the ten-day cycle, the calamity is profound; when both sides are accompanied by harm, suspicion follows. The "Gujian" records: A county magistrate used the monkey (申) as the month general to divinate his official position. The divination said: The first transmission is the monkey, which is the official star located on the snake (巳), and the snake symbolizes two fish, indicating holding two positions at once; the middle transmission is the pig (亥), which is the long life of the jia wood, located on the house, indicating support from the superior authority; the final transmission is the tiger (寅), representing himself, located on the pig, indicating his reputation reaching the court, and the pig is the position of the academy, indicating honor of establishing a school and teaching students. Later, he indeed obtained a recommendation through acting as the county magistrate and was appointed as a professor. The "Lun Yin Zhinan" records: Using the snake (巳) as the month general to divinate the county examination, the divination said: The month builder and the beginning of the ten-day cycle both initiate the transmission together, the blue dragon and the vermilion bird are both in a strong position, the day virtue and day fortune also ride the post-horse, the day stem and day branch form Liu He, the first place in the examination is certain. In the Xinwei year, using the dog (戌) as the month general to divinate promotion, the divination said: The blue dragon and Tai Chang appear together, the city god and official god are both present; the blue dragon internal conflict indicates an unusual opportunity and promotion beyond normal standards; the vermilion bird is born on the day stem, indicating praise from high officials; the post-horse, day virtue, and day fortune all enter the heavenly gate, what else could it be but the heavenly official? However, the nobleman is trapped by the earth net, indicating that this person will eventually resign on his own. All the predictions were verified.

On the Jiashen day, the eleventh arrangement: the sky pillar is on the dragon.

This lesson has four patterns: involvement, cutting the gate, intermediate transmission, and additionally "ascending to heaven" — the three transmissions are Chen, Wu, and Shen, rising in order with each one separated by a position, called "ascending to the three heavens," indicating that the matter to be handled is of great importance. The lesson meaning says: Hekui (Xu) and Tiangang (Chen) are positioned at the day stem and day branch, and once they move, it is not a minor matter; unfortunately, both the middle transmission and the final transmission fall into Kongwang; at this time, it is most suitable to move distant matters to the near. As for the timing of the outcome, it must be carefully distinguished through the Tai sui, the month builder, the day branch, and the time of divination.

The Hekui and Tiangang are placed respectively on the Day Stem and Day Branch, making every action significant and substantial. The Heavenly General and Liu He are also combined on the Day Stem, forming the true cutting-off hexagram. Moreover, the three transmissions of Chen, Wu, and Shen form the "ascending to the three heavens" pattern, indicating that the matter will certainly be of great importance. Unfortunately, the middle and final transmissions fall into Kongwang, which is called "movement without actual movement," meaning the matter cannot be completed. At this time, it is most suitable to transfer distant matters to nearby ones for resolution, in order to alleviate misfortune. For example, if the first transmission meets the Tai sui while the middle and final transmissions meet the Month Builder and Day Branch, it is also called "moving distant to near," changing a originally slow matter into an urgent one. Alternatively, if the divination god at the time of divination is used as the initiating transmission, it is also called "movement without actual movement," which means seeking far away brings no results, and the matter ends up being resolved nearby.

The interpretation says: This is a case of involved harm combined with cutting off the gate, not a sign of stability. It indicates worry and indecision, difficulty in moving forward or retreating, and the need to endure much hardship. The first transmission is caught between two forces, meaning the matter is not under one's control. The day stem is riding upon theLiu He, which is the god of private affairs, suggesting matters are being secretly planned or prayed for. Unfortunately, the middle and final transmissions both fall empty, so neither bad nor good outcomes can be achieved.

Inquiring about the weather: it is about to clear but then turns cloudy, about to rain but then stops, and suddenly a strong wind arises. Inquiring about the residence: it is not peaceful, although there may be misfortune, it can be resolved. Inquiring about marriage: it is not suitable, and it will not succeed. Inquiring about pregnancy: there is a risk of harm during pregnancy, and there will be fear during childbirth. Inquiring about official rank: one tries every means to seek it, but in the end there is no result. Inquiring about wealth: it is suitable to make private arrangements and secretly offer gifts, but ultimately it will come to nothing. Inquiring about illness: it is dangerous, but a sudden illness will quickly recover. Inquiring about lost items: if one searches quickly, they can still be found. Inquiring about travel: one cannot reach a distant place, so one has to change to traveling nearby. Inquiring about a traveler: those from afar have not yet started, while those from near will arrive soon. Inquiring about disputes: after some worry and anxiety, it can be resolved. Inquiring about warfare: there is a small advantage, but it is unreliable, and one must strike unexpectedly to achieve a great victory. Inquiring about burial: one must beware of damage to the tomb.

The *Bifa Fu* says: If the day branch has the spirit of burial and the wealth god are in the same place, the journey will be delayed; if the Tiangang (Chen) is blocked by the hour, any plans can be carried out freely; if the three transmissions are stationary, one should return to examine the first transmission and the time of divination. The *Kijing* says: If the Azure Dragon ascends the heavenly gate, it will rain; if the official star ascends the heavenly gate, there will be promotion. It is most undesirable for these to fall into the Kongwang (wasteland) where things are lost. However, in divinations concerning official matters or illness, Kongwang is actually favorable. The *Zhipang Fu* says: Kongwang is a spirit of loss; if it falls in the middle transmission, it is like breaking the waist; if it falls in the final transmission, it is like cutting off the foot. The hours Chen and Xu are the net demons; if they fall on the day stem, it is like destroying bird eggs; if they fall on the day branch, it is like overturning a bird's nest.

On the Jiashen day, the twelfth division: the heavenly stem is on the卯 (Mao) branch.

This lesson has four patterns: Re-examination; "Progressing with the Root" refers to the three transmissions moving in order from Chen, Si, to Wu, advancing continuously like pulling up a reed by its root; Net; "Ascending Steps" refers to moving from Chen and Si up to the central Wu, like climbing steps. The meaning of the lesson says: both person and house are occupied by strong deities, which should be kept still, but once moved, they are caught in a net; when divining at night, the Heavenly General belongs to fire, which especially drains my energy; the day stem and day branch are each sitting on the storage of the other.

It is explained that wood is strongest at卯 (Mao), and metal is strongest at酉 (You). When the day stem is accompanied by卯 and the day branch is accompanied by酉, both sides receive the strongest supporting forces. At this time, remaining still is most valuable; if one acts recklessly, one will be caught in a net, and both oneself and one's family will become Yangren, leading to misfortune. The middle transmission and final transmission both drain the energy of the day stem. Night divination further aggravates this situation with the presence of the two fire-related heavenly generals,朱雀 (Zhu Que) and螣蛇 (Teng Sha), which intensify the draining effect. The寄宫 (Ji Gong) of 甲 (Jia) is at寅 (Yin), which sits on the metal grave, and the day branch申 (Shen) sits on the wood grave. The day stem and day branch enter each other's graves, causing confusion and darkness. It is not advisable for them to approach each other.

The interpretation says: This is a case of repeated review. The three transmissions follow each other in sequence, advancing smoothly but containing an element of reversal within the order, and moving forward while also implying retreat. Stillness is appropriate, but any movement leads to obstruction. Often, there is a beginning but no end. If someone has already suffered a setback and wishes to restore their former status, this is a great auspicious sign. However, if someone was originally stable and suddenly desires something beyond their means, misfortune and regret will follow. Moreover, the day stem and day branch are in each other's graves, like two foolish people seeking each other's company, resulting in confusion and chaos. Those who receive this divination should be particularly alert and reflective.

Questioning the weather: clouds are numerous but rain is scarce. Questioning the residence: the family fortune is not flourishing, and the house is likely to be willingly lent out and ruined by others. Questioning marriage: both men and women are prosperous, and the marriage can be formed, but there is fear of future injuries. Questioning pregnancy: the fetal deity is on the绝 (terminal) position, so there is a risk of not being able to raise the child. Questioning fame and status: there is a beginning but little result. Questioning wealth: it is not obtained through one's own effort, and in the end, it will not be obtained. Questioning illness: it may be like madness, with the root of the illness lying in diet; avoiding certain foods can lead to recovery. Questioning loss: search quickly, or it will be difficult to find later. Questioning travel: it is suitable to go nearby, but long journeys are unfavorable. Questioning a traveler: the return date is uncertain. Questioning disputes: the cause is from words and documents, moving forward brings danger, but retreating brings good fortune. Questioning warfare: it is favorable for the host side but not for the guest side, and worries can be resolved. Questioning burial: it is unfavorable, and no nobleman will emerge.

The *Bifa Fu* says: When both sides mutually benefit and are vigorous, it is most appropriate to remain seated and maintain stability; encountering a net-like situation, most endeavors will be clumsy and difficult to carry out; when both person and dwelling are seated on the tomb position, one can only accept darkness and confusion. The *Ding'e* says: When the heaven plate god of the previous position covers down and blocks the way, a person cannot lift his head; if this is further combined with the Ding god and the post-horse, it becomes even more dangerous; if the person's destiny and year can break through this, it is considered to have a rescue. The *Zhipang Fu* says: The position of Wu is the pure yang position, with an atmosphere of ascending to a high platform, rising from Chen and Si all the way to Wu, is it not exactly the light of observing the country? However, the final transmission falls into emptiness, which is called 'sound echoing in an empty valley,' only having echoes without substance. Retreating is auspicious, but advancing is not advisable.

On the Yiyou day, first arrangement: stem on Chen

This lesson has four characteristics:Hidden Chant; on a阴 day,Hidden Chant is determined by the神 on the day branch, and in this case, the branch酉 is self-punishing, so the initiating transmission is taken from the神 on the day stem, which is辰; 斩关; 杜传 refers to the three transmissions being blocked at every stage, causing the matter to be interrupted halfway. The lesson interpretation says: the day stem and day branch cross and combine, showing mutual harmony and the ability to conduct trade with others; however, many酉 metals gather to form a harmful official ghost that constrains the person, and there is hidden misfortune within the combination.酉 also represents servants, so there is also the issue of servants deceiving or misleading.

It is explained that Chen and You are originally in theLiu He relationship. When the day stem and day branch intersect vertically, they form a harmonious relationship, with both sides united in purpose, thus indicating the possibility of trade and interaction with people. You is in its flourishing position, both appearing on the yang and yin spirits of the house and falling into the middle transmission. With several Yous gathered together, they combine to form an official ghost that restrains Yi wood. Although they harmonize with the day stem, this harmony also involves a degree of restraint. You also represents female servants. During the day, it is associated with the Black Tortoise, and at night, with the Heavenly Empress. The final transmission also falls into theLiu He private gate, indicating that there may be deceit and betrayal among the servants.

The interpretation states: This is a self-confidence divination with hidden chant. All matters are concealed and remain inactive, hidden but not yet manifested. One can only rely on one's own gentle and compliant nature to interact with the outside world, remaining calm and waiting for the right opportunity. However, the god of cutting through barriers initiates the transmission, making it impossible to remain still. The heavenly stem Chen transforms into the god of wealth, indicating strong wealth but a weak self. Officials and ghosts go on to generate the god that drains me, leading to layer upon layer of losses. It is actually favorable for the final transmission to fall in kongwang. The matter will then undergo a change, turning danger into good fortune, without the need for fear or worry.

Questioning the weather: all night there was thick fog and overcast clouds that would not clear, and only when the wind arose did the fog disperse. Questioning the house: it is not peaceful, beware of secret affairs, private communications, and kidnappings or escapes. Questioning marriage: do not discuss it. Questioning pregnancy: it indicates the birth of a girl. Questioning official rank: not from the proper path, or holding an office without salary. Questioning wealth: Yangren has become the god of wealth, seeking from it brings misfortune. Questioning visiting: both host and guest appear friendly, but their hearts are not in agreement. Questioning illness: a凶 omen as the person cannot eat, sudden illness has a cure. Questioning loss: look within the family, it was stolen by a servant. Questioning travel: not suitable for long journeys. Questioning a traveler: has not yet arrived. Questioning disputes: it is suitable to settle by reconciliation. Questioning warfare: gain nothing.

The "Bifa Fu" says: When the upper and lower parts combine, both sides are united in purpose; seeing the Ding god and the Post-horse indicates that matters will certainly move. The "Ke Jing" says: The first transmission starts from the self-punishment god, the middle transmission falls on the day branch which is also self-punishment, and the final transmission can only take the opposing one; with the three transmissions proceeding in this way, they are all blocked, called the "Du Zhuan Ge," indicating that matters will stop midway and require a different plan. The "Liu Ren Zhuan Nan" records: In the Dingchou year, using You as the month general to divinate childbirth, the judgment was: the residence is governed by the You god, indicating that the pregnant woman is a concubine; two Gou Chen gods are riding on the Tiangang Chen, initiating from the transmission, surely resulting in twins, one male and one female. You belongs to the Dui trigram, acting as the fetal god with the official ghost and death qi;卯 belongs to the Zhen trigram, acting as the day branch's fetal god with the life qi; therefore, the male child will live, and the female child will die. Later, it was indeed verified.

On the Yiyou day, second arrangement, the stem is on the Mao branch.

This divination lesson has three patterns: remote overcoming; "Hao Shi" is a type of remote overcoming where the upper deity overcomes the day stem, but the force is light, like an arrow made of reed grass; "Tui Ru" refers to the three transmissions moving one by one backward through the positions of Shen, Wei, and Wu. The lesson meaning says: the辛 metal hidden in Mao and the申 metal that remotely overcomes the day stem both press forward together, with two layers of official ghosts arriving at the same time. For an ordinary person, this is very frightening, bringing misfortune to both oneself and one's home; however, for a gentleman who divines this, it is actually a precious pattern.

The explanation says: The branch of Mao has hidden the metal of Xin and is positioned on the day stem, while the metal of Shen is at a distance and remotely restrains the day stem, and is the first transmission initiating the action. Officials and ghosts appear both openly and secretly, pressing down heavily, and the situation is already very dangerous. The spirit of the dwelling also restrains the body. The heavenly general is riding on the big blessing of Chou and the small blessing of Wei, all assisting the officials and ghosts against me, so the dwelling is also凶 and cannot be inhabited. Ordinary people encountering this situation will suffer from illness and legal troubles at the same time, and their wealth and children will be lost, how can they not be afraid? But the gentleman is exactly the opposite: the prosperous禄神 is on himself, and the official star illuminates the dwelling. More importantly, the middle transmission's墓神 and the final transmission's脱气 both fall into kongwang, leaving only the first transmission alone, riding on the heavenly general and Tai Chang, which is a precious pattern.

The interpretation says: This is the Hāo Shǐ lesson, with the three transmissions connected and moving in reverse. Matters are unstable and uncertain, with human feelings reversed and disorderly. Retreat contains advancement; it is favorable for the host but not for the guest, beneficial in the northeast but not in the southwest. The Tiangang Li De pattern appears, benefiting the virtuous and bringing good fortune, but causing disaster for the wicked. However, both the middle and final transmissions fall into emptiness, making both good and bad outcomes light. Thus, all matters come to an end here.

Questioning the weather: thick clouds cover the sky with only light rain; seeking clear weather, it does not clear. Questioning the residence: the house spirit overpowers the official spirit, beware of losing salary due to the house; also indicates disputes from the southwest direction, do not leave guests to stay; women and children in the family may suffer calamity; it is advisable to perform a thanksgiving ritual for the earth god. Questioning marriage: it will not succeed. Questioning pregnancy: a female fetus is carried, and delivery will be quick. Questioning officialdom: there is official position and salary, a high official indicates promotion. Questioning wealth: cannot obtain wealth. Questioning illness: ominous. Questioning lost items: search in the southwest direction. Questioning travel: travel cannot proceed. Questioning a traveler: arrives on the day of亥. Questioning disputes: the cause is land and house, initially there is worry and anxiety, but eventually it will be resolved. Questioning warfare: no signs of victory are visible, it is better to temporarily cease hostilities.

The *Bi Fa Fu* says: If a strong and prosperous official (Wang Lu) is present on the self, it is useless for idle movements; if the official ghost is riding on the heavenly yi nobleman, it is a supernatural interference; if the three transmissions do not move, one should look back at the first transmission and the time of divination. The *Zhi Zhang Fu* says: The combination of Shen, Wei, and Wu is called "Ling Yin," indicating a desperate attempt for success, with danger turning into safety and safety turning into danger; if the transmission runs in reverse and is connected with the empty (Kongwang), it is called "Jiao Ta Kongwang," which is suitable for moving forward but not for retreating. The *Xiu Zhong Jin* says: If the yang spirit of the day branch conflicts with the position it is on, the凶 (evil) is strong and powerful, and one should not act rashly; if the three transmissions fall into the empty (Kongwang), it becomes a useless arrow shot out.

On the Yiyou day, third arrangement, the stem is on Yin.

This divination lesson has three patterns: shooting, intermediate transmission, and "returning to clarity." The three transmitters are in reverse order, moving through the branches in intervals: from the branch of the goat (未) to the snake (巳) to the rabbit (卯). This movement goes from yin to yang, like a waning moon gradually becoming full again. The meaning of the lesson states: if this divination is done during the day, the White Tiger is riding on the tomb of the wood branch (乙) at the goat (未). At this time, one must avoid matters concerning money and marriage, for involvement in either will bring misfortune. If involved in a lawsuit, even if justified, the injustice will not be resolved.

The explanation says: "Wei is the tomb of Yi wood. During the day, the White Tiger rides upon it and is present over the house, causing the house to be dark and people to fall ill. Fortunately, the Wei earth does not overcome the day branch Shen metal, so the outcome is not too severe. Wei is also the wealth god of the day stem, and it is the first transmission initiating the action, indicating the arrival of wealth. The六合 is present on Mao, indicating matters related to marriage. However, the White Tiger can harm the day stem, and You comes to clash with Mao, so seeking wealth will result in harm and damage. Even if one forces a marriage, it will not end well, so it is better not to involve oneself. Wei also harms the day's nobleman on Yin, so even if the case is just, litigation will certainly result in a guilty verdict."

The interpretation states: This is a shooting lesson, meaning the matter originates from within the family, and because it is distant, it will be difficult to achieve. It benefits the guest side but not the host side. It is favorable to act later rather than first. Moreover, the initiating transmission is at the empty position, making actions particularly hollow and without real effect, neither good nor bad outcomes will be realized. This lesson is only favorable to those outside the ordinary, such as monks, Taoists, and those living alone; if an ordinary person divines this, they may lose their close relatives. On the Yiyou day, theTomb Spirit (mournful god) of the day stem is added to the day branch, and it is accompanied by the Teng Snake and White Tiger, which is called "true墓门 opens," indicating there will be a death in the family. It is advisable to prepare a coffin in advance as a remedy.

Questioning the weather: There will be strong winds and thunder and lightning. Questioning the house: The entrance is not peaceful, beware of consecutive funerals, or there may be unclaimed bones buried beneath the house. Questioning marriage: Unfavorable, and it will not succeed. Questioning childbirth: The fetus is unstable, beware of difficult labor. Questioning official rank: Only a small amount of salary. Questioning seeking wealth: Wealth will bring misfortune, unless the wealth falls under Kongwang, then it can be avoided. Questioning illness: The illness is in the waist and legs, on the right side; new illness can be cured, but long-term illness is dangerous. Questioning lost things: Difficult to recover. Questioning travel: Unable to meet people, affairs cannot be settled, best not to go. Questioning a traveler: Has not returned yet, if divined in June, will arrive soon. Questioning disputes: Unfavorable, should settle immediately and disperse. Questioning warfare: Beware of losing troops, seeing success but then new troubles arise. Questioning burial: The omen is favorable, should first prepare a grave and plant many trees; if already buried, beware of ants gathering and snakes digging through the ground.

The *Bifa Fu* says: When the day stem'sTomb Spirit is also accompanied by a 关煞, both the person and the house will decline; if the day branch is occupied by Tomb Spirit and White Tiger, there are unidentifiable bones buried beneath the house; the husband and wife are both indulging in licentiousness, each having secret affairs. The *Ke Jing* says: The combination of 未, 巳, and 卯 is called 「Hui Ming Ge」. From 未 to 卯, it moves from the yin to the yang, like a crescent moon gradually becoming full again. Therefore, one should not act hastily in matters, but proceed slowly and steadily; in this way, good things will be gradually achieved and bad things will gradually dissipate.
