課體：驀越，斬關。課義：初財中祿，不從所孟，閉口臨絕，暗財可逐。解曰：初傳之亥，乃日財也。入墓而與蛇內戰。中傳之午，乃日祿也，臨絕而受克乘空，皆不從所孟也。末傳丑乃旬尾，遁癸為財，若能閉口隨時，其中可以暗逐。

The lesson pattern is "Moyue" and "Zhanguan": Moyue means that the four lessons have no mutualrestrain and the initiating transmission is taken from the position beyond the place. The lesson meaning says: the first transmission is wealth, the middle transmission is official rank, but neither meets one's wishes; the final transmission is closed and located in a terminal position, but hidden wealth can still be pursued. The explanation says: the first transmission,亥 water, is the day stem's wealth, but it falls into the墓 position and fights with Teng Snake internally. The middle transmission,午 fire, is the day stem's official rank, but it is located in the绝 position, suffering from being克 and乘空, neither of which satisfies one's wishes. The final transmission,丑 earth, is the last of a ten-day cycle, and when the heavenly stem癸 water is hidden within, it still represents my wealth. As long as I remain silent and follow the right timing, I can still secretly pursue this wealth.

斷曰：驀越之課，五行投墓，止宜解憂釋惑，結絕舊事。日德臨身，卻為空鬼，將復乘空，所謂空上逢空也。天罡臨支，雖與支生合，乃是墓神覆宅。若求生意，總屬虛無。

The interpretation states: This is a sudden and abrupt divination, with all five elements falling into their墓 (mournful) positions. It is only suitable for resolving worries and doubts, and concluding old matters. Although the day's virtue is present, it is an empty official ghost, and the accompanying heavenly general is Tian Kong, meaning emptiness on top of emptiness. The Tiangang (Chen) earth is located on the day's branch, although it is in mutual generation and harmony with the day's branch, in reality it is the墓 god covering the family dwelling. If one seeks to engage in business or trade, it will ultimately result in nothing.

天時：五行投墓，主晴。家宅：墓神覆宅，陰財內戰，主因酒食而起驚疑。功名：官空不利。婚姻：不成。胎產：二陰包陽，男孕產順。疾病：晝占肺經受病，宜瀉心；夜占脾經受病，宜瀉肝。爭訟：即散。出行：水陸皆不宜。行人：即回。捕獲：盜在正東，與人口角。兵戰：彼此不利。

Divination on pregnancy: Two yin elements surround one yang element, indicating a male fetus, and the delivery will be smooth. Divination on illness: If divined during the day, the lung meridian is affected, and the method of draining the heart should be used; if divined at night, the spleen meridian is affected, and the method of draining the liver should be used. Divination on disputes: The dispute will resolve immediately. Divination on travel: Neither water nor land routes are suitable. Divination on a traveler: The traveler will return immediately. Divination on capturing fugitives: Thieves are in the direction of due east, and they are currently arguing with someone. Divination on warfare: Both sides are unfavorable.

畢法云：空上逢空事莫追。指南：丙子三月，戌將卯時刑部被逮，占出獄曰：目今不能脫難，交四月甲戌日巳時方可出獄。其人曰：指日即出矣。曰：發用驛馬坐墓，且赤鳥犯歲君，如早上疏，旨意必駁。三月司馬上疏，旨意果駁。四月上疏，依擬脫難。蓋因四月建巳，沖初傳墓中驛馬，方有出獄之應耳。三才賦云：驛馬入垣，所占迅速。中黃經云：馬見巳亥在路岐。

The *Bifa Fu* says: If an empty void appears again on top of another empty void, there is no need to pursue further. The *Ren Zhan Zhi Nan* records a case: In the year Bingzi, during the third lunar month, using the Xu general and the卯 hour, a person accused by the criminal department was consulted about when he would be released from prison. The judgment said: He cannot escape trouble now, but he would be released on the day of Jiaxu in the fourth lunar month at the hour of Si. The person said he would be released soon. The judge said: The first transmission and initiating transmission is the post-horse, but it is sitting in the墓 position. Also, the Vermilion Bird is conflicting with the year's ruler. If he submitted a petition early, the imperial decree would certainly be rejected. In the third lunar month, the official submitted a petition, and the imperial decree indeed rejected it. In the fourth lunar month, he submitted again, and then he was released as predicted. This is because in the fourth lunar month, the month builder is at Si, which exactly conflicts with the post-horse in the墓 position, thus making the release possible. The *Sanchai Fu* says: If the post-horse enters its own territory, the matter will have a quick result. The *Zhonghuang Jing* says: If the post-horse meets Si or Hai, the person is at a crossroads.

課體：反吟，龍戰。課義：俱空俱鬼，何勞金制，晝將元合，逢私口閉。解曰：初末俱鬼，幸得旬空，不待金制，其鬼自消。倘用晝將，元合臨門，天后居日，必主陰私之事，往來勾引。癸丑在干，惟宜閉口，免致災迍。斷曰：柔日反吟，事非一端。三傳卯酉，應主門戶動搖。禍自外來，事從下起，然來去皆空。雖反覆靡寧，究為孟動不動之象。常人相宜，仕宦最忌。

The lesson pattern is "Reverse Chant" and "Dragon Strife." The lesson meaning says: both the first and final transmissions have fallen into emptiness and are both official ghosts; why bother the metal god to control them? In daytime divination, the Black Tortoise and Liu He are on duty, and if it concerns private matters, it is better to remain silent. The explanation says: both the first and final transmissions are ghosts that overcome the day stem, but fortunately they both meet the旬空, so there is no need to wait for metal to control them; these ghosts will naturally dissipate. If taking the daytime general, the Black Tortoise and Liu He are at the gate, and the Heavenly Empress is on the day stem, it indicates private matters between men and women, with people coming and going, leading to entanglements. The day stem isGuichou, so it is advisable to remain silent to avoid misfortune. The conclusion says: on a day of yin flexibility, the Reverse Chant lesson indicates multiple matters. The three transmissions are卯 and酉, indicating instability at the gate. Misfortune comes from outside, and the matter originates from below, but both the source and the destination fall into emptiness. Although repeatedly fluctuating without peace, it ultimately shows the image of wanting to move but being unable to. Common people encountering this are still acceptable, but officials should be most cautious.

天時：傳課皆陰，陰而無雨。家宅：支空乘元，失脫難免。功名：宜退不宜進，恐有風波之險。婚姻：晝將后合元武，女子不潔。胎產：課傳皆陰，胎上乘陽，孕主男，產防厄。疾病：病有兩症相侵，久病大凶。爭訟：不成訟。出行：無依卦，不吉。行人：即回。捕獲：晝占酉為盜神，主西方女人作線，難獲。兵戰：三傳全空，不利。

Divination on official rank: It is better to retreat than to advance, as there is likely danger and trouble. Divination on pregnancy: All four lessons and three transmissions belong to yin, but theFetal Spirit is occupied by yang, indicating a male fetus, and there is danger during childbirth. Divination on illness: Two types of illness are coming at the same time, and it is very dangerous for a long illness. Divination on disputes: A lawsuit cannot be filed. Divination on travel: This is a卦 without support, which is not auspicious. Divination on a traveler: The traveler will return immediately. Divination on capturing a fugitive: During the day, the metal of You is the thief god, indicating a woman from the west is involved, making it difficult to capture. Divination on warfare: All three transmissions fall into emptiness, which is unfavorable.

畢法云：來去俱空豈動移。纂要云：反吟課，如三月占，生氣剋日主病，為幸中不幸。死氣生日主生，為不幸中幸。又云：卯加酉，晝占鬼乘元武脫氣發用，來意必占失脫。課經云：九丑己酉日丑加干，四仲發用，凡四仲時占丑臨干，加四仲上發用為九丑。

The "Bifa Fu" says: Whether the path of coming or going is empty, why bother to move or travel. The "Zuanyao" says: If a reverse chant is used in a divination on the third month, the life qi will return to attack the day stem, which is a fortunate situation that turns into misfortune; whereas the death qi returns to benefit the day stem, which is a misfortune that turns into great fortune. It also says: If the卯 is placed on the酉, and the divination is done in the daytime, with the official ghost riding on the Black Tortoise and acting as the initiating transmission, the person asking the question is certainly inquiring about something lost or missing. The "Ke Jing" says: The nine shame pattern occurs on the Jiyou day, when the丑 is placed on the day stem and the four central deities act as the initiating transmission; whenever the divination is done at the time of Zi, Wu, Mao, or You, and the丑 is on the day stem and also placed on the four central deities as the initiating transmission, it is called the nine shame pattern.

課體：涉害，絕嗣。課義：課傳內戰，晝貴相眷，虎隨遁鬼，絕嗣尊殄。解曰：三傳四課，皆被下賊，夾克內戰，非有窩犯之私，必有家庭之訟。晝貴臨干作財，似得貴人眷顧之意。然末傳之巳，遁鬼乘虎，災殃必甚。況卦名絕嗣，若占長上，定主災殄也。

The lesson meaning states: there is internal conflict within the four lessons and three transmissions; the nobleman appears in the daytime but shows favor; the white tiger follows the hidden official ghost, indicating the name of discontinuation of offspring, which brings misfortune to the elders. The explanation says: both the three transmissions and four lessons are attacked by the lower deity, with both sides attacking internally, which is not due to some hidden family matters, but rather internal family litigation. The nobleman appears on the day stem and serves as the wealth爻, seeming to indicate favor from a nobleman. However, the final transmission's巳 fire escapes the official ghost and is accompanied by the white tiger, indicating serious calamity. Moreover, since the hexagram is named "Discontinuation of Offspring," if it is used to inquire about matters concerning the elders, it certainly indicates disaster and loss.

斷曰：涉害之課，凡事艱難，必有稽遲歲月，歷盡風霜之象。占者得此，所謂苦盡甘來也。三傳不離四課，義主循環。德神坐宅，晝貴臨身，可以凶化為吉。占官者當從微而顯，迤邐遷轉，不能一蹴登於要津也。

The interpretation states: This lesson indicates that matters will be difficult and will certainly require a prolonged period of time, enduring hardships. Those who receive this lesson are said to experience hardship followed by eventual success. The three transmissions do not go beyond the scope of the four lessons, indicating a principle of cyclical repetition. The virtue spirit is seated at the house, and the day's noble star is present at the self, thus transforming misfortune into good fortune. For those asking about official positions, they should rise gradually from humble beginnings, advancing step by step, and should not expect sudden promotion to a high position.

天時：傳課下賊，內戰主陰。家宅：德入宅貴臨身，人宅俱寧。功名：主有遷轉。求財：晝占貴人之財可得，但夾克恐不能多。婚姻：青後比和，課傳皆吉，晝占尤妙。胎產：孕主男，產易生。疾病：虎乘遁鬼甚危，然喜寅空，久病難，治暴病不妨。爭訟：可解。出行：有阻。捕獲：晝占在西方郵亭左右，造車匠人家。兵戰：晝占吉，夜占凶。

Divination on the household: The virtuous spirit has entered the house, and the nobleman is present with the self, indicating peace in the household and its inhabitants. Divination on official rank: Indicates promotion or transfer. Divination on seeking wealth: Divined during the day, the nobleman's wealth can be obtained, but with both sides pressing in, the amount is likely small. Divination on marriage: The azure dragon and heavenly empress are in harmony with each other, and all four lessons and three transmissions are auspicious, especially when divined during the day. Divination on pregnancy: The fetus is male and easy to give birth to. Divination on illness: The white tiger is riding the hidden official ghost, which is dangerous, but fortunately the寅wood is empty; chronic illness is hard to cure, but acute illness is not so serious. Divination on disputes: Can be resolved. Divination on travel: There will be obstacles on the way. Divination on capturing fugitives: Divined during the day, in the vicinity of a western post station and the home of a carriage maker. Divination on warfare: Divined during the day is auspicious, but during the night is inauspicious.

畢法云：虎乘遁鬼殃非淺。課經云：子為晝貴臨身，朱雀乘戌克貴，不可告貴請託，必貴人忌憚，而不肯用事。若占文書事，尤非所宜。曾門經云：四下賊上，法曰絕嗣。亡其先人，孤獨無嗣，宜為主人利天后起。邵公詩云：鬼在鬼方無所畏，鬼居鬼上不須憂。

The "Bifa Fu" says: When the White Tiger is riding on the hidden official ghost, calamity will not be light. The "Ke Jing" says: When the water of the Zi hour is the daytime nobleman resting on the self, the Vermilion Bird is riding on the戌 earth to attack the nobleman, at this time it is not appropriate to go and report to the nobleman or request favors, the nobleman will certainly be cautious and unwilling to take action; if it is about official documents, it is especially inappropriate. The "Zeng Men Jing" says: All four lessons are lower deities attacking the upper ones, the method is called absolute failure of descendants, indicating the death of ancestors, loneliness and no descendants, it is advisable to take the lesson from the Heavenly Empress. Zhao Gong's poem says: When the official ghost is in the ghost direction, there is nothing to fear; when the official ghost is on top of another official ghost, there is no need to worry.

課體：曲直，重審，狡童。課義：利刃置蜜，舐之無益，只宜慷慨，凶災自釋。解曰：亥為日財，臨身可羨。三傳全木，而亥乃木之長生。取之則引起眾鬼，如蜜在刀上，舐之必有害也。不若慷慨以投卯，反與鬼混合為一，免罹於禍。故凡攜金禱貴，散財濟眾，凶災皆可釋也。

The lesson pattern is "Quzhi," "Chongshen," and "Jiaotong." Quzhi refers to the three transmissions forming the wood triad of Hai-Mao-Wei, symbolizing the nature of wood being flexible and straight. The lesson meaning states: it is like coating a sharp blade with honey; licking it brings no benefit; one should only generously spend money, and misfortune will naturally dissipate. The explanation says: the water of Hai is the wealth of the day stem, which is very enviable when it is on the self. However, all three transmissions are wood, and Hai is the long life place of wood: taking this wealth is equivalent to triggering all the official ghosts in the chart, just like honey on a blade, licking it will surely cause harm. It is better to generously give it to Mao wood, thus integrating with the official ghosts and avoiding disaster. Therefore, whenever one seeks the nobleman with money or generously gives it to others, misfortune can be resolved.

斷曰：曲直之課，事多冗雜。三傳全鬼，止利占官。亥財貪生，須防欺詐。中末空陷，事亦鮮終。夜將初合末後，是名狡童，乃男誘女之象。夏月占此，主有陰私不正之事。春占木旺，空亦無礙。

The interpretation states: This hexagram indicates a matter involving many complicated and confused affairs. All three transmissions are official ghosts, which is favorable for divination regarding official positions. The亥 water wealth is overly eager to nourish wood, so one should beware of deceit by others. Both the middle and final transmissions fall into empty and trapped positions, meaning the matter is unlikely to have a result. In the night general, the initial transmission is Liu He and the final transmission is Heavenly Empress, which is called a cunning youth, indicating a man enticing a woman. If this is divined in summer, it suggests improper romantic affairs between men and women. However, if divined in spring, when the wood energy is strong, even if it falls into an empty position, it will not cause any trouble.

天時：傳課皆陰，中末空陷，陰而無雨。家宅：人宅平安，但不聚財。功名：木局傷干，止宜納粟求官。婚姻：不宜。胎產：胎坐長生，又作旦貴，孕生貴子，但產不速。疾病：脾經受病，或腿足痿痺，難愈。爭訟：先曲後直，防遭械杻。出行：陸路更吉。行人：三合即歸。捕獲：晝占在東方，喜慶宴會家。兵戰：不利。

Divination on illness: The spleen meridian is affected, or there may be weakness, numbness, and paralysis in the legs, which is difficult to recover from. Divination on disputes: Initially in the wrong, then in the right, beware of being imprisoned or punished. Divination on travel: Traveling by land is more favorable. Divination on a traveler: The triple harmony forms a complete structure, so the person will return immediately. Divination on capturing a fugitive: If divined during the day, the person is at the house where a wedding is being held in the east. Divination on warfare: Unfavorable.

畢法云：用破身心無所歸，六陰相繼盡昏迷。指掌賦云：亥卯未為曲直，當舉直錯枉。雲霄賦云：天門木戶，相見兩和(卯加亥)；醴酒元漿，相調兩便(未加亥)。

The Bi Fa Fu says: If the initiating transmission is accompanied by the broken fragments evil spirit, the body and mind have nowhere to rest; if the six positions are continuously occupied by yin spirits, the path is dark and unclear. The Zhi Zhang Fu says: The three transmissions of Hai, Mao, and Wei are called curved and straight, and one should use the upright and discard the crooked. The Yun Xiao Fu says: When the heavenly gate and the wooden gate meet, they are harmonious (referring to Mao added to Hai); when sweet wine and black wine blend together, they are convenient (referring to Wei added to Hai).

課體：蒿矢，三交，斬關。課義：弓矢斯張，蒿箭何防，那堪墮矢，驚恐無傷。解曰：發用蒿矢逢空，矢已墮矣。中午旺祿，雖坐於空，末傳之鏃，盡被火克，灰飛煙滅，復何傷之有。斷曰：蒿矢禍福皆輕，雖交車六害，刑干脫支，未為凶象。況陰神互作六害，雖危有救。發用官鬼臨子，逢春或改旬，破財求官甚吉。

The lesson pattern is "Hao Shi," "San Jiao," and "Zhan Guan." "San Jiao" refers to the mutual interaction between the day stem, day branch, and heavenly general. The lesson meaning states: although the bow and arrow are drawn, what use is an arrow made of reed grass for defense? Moreover, the arrow has already fallen to the ground, causing only a false alarm and no actual harm. The explanation says: the initial transmission's "Hao Shi" coincides with kongwang, meaning the arrow has already fallen. The middle transmission is wu fire, which is strong and prosperous, although it also resides in kongwang. The final transmission's arrow tip is entirely consumed by fire, turning to ashes and disappearing, so there is nothing to harm. The conclusion states: the "Hao Shi" lesson involves light fortune and misfortune. Although there are six harmful interactions, and there is also a conflict with the day stem and a leakage of the day branch, it is not a凶 pattern. Moreover, the yin spirits mutually form six harmful interactions, although dangerous, there is still a way to save. The initial transmission's official ghost is located on zi, if it occurs in spring or is transferred to another decade, spending some money to seek official positions will be very auspicious.

天時：大晴。家宅：日鬼作支之陰辰發用，不寧。功名：主有虛驚。求財：出旬再圖。婚姻：晝占可用，夜占更吉。胎產：二陰包陽，孕男，產速。疾病：腎經受病，或病起飲食，宜治脾。爭訟：鬼空，訟可解。出行：馬戀長生，恐不成行，行則陸路吉。行人：天罡加季即至。捕獲：晝占盜在正南空馬房中。兵戰：不利。墳葬：冬占發財發貴。

Divination on weather: Clear sky. Divination on the household: The official ghost of the day is the yin spirit of the day branch and is initiating transmission, so the home will not be peaceful. Divination on official rank: There will be a false alarm. Divination on seeking wealth: Wait until after this ten-day period before making plans. Divination on marriage: It is suitable to divinate during the day, even more auspicious at night. Divination on pregnancy: Two yins enclosing one yang, the fetus is male, and the delivery will be quick. Divination on illness: The kidney meridian is affected, or the illness originates from diet, so it is necessary to regulate the spleen and stomach. Divination on disputes: The official ghost is in an empty position, so the lawsuit can be resolved. Divination on travel: The post-horse is attached to the place of growth, so the journey may not be successful; if one must travel, traveling by land is auspicious. Divination on a traveler: The Tiangang is added to the position of the earth element in the four seasons of chen, hexi, chou, and wei, so the traveler will arrive immediately. Divination on capturing a fugitive: During the day, the thief is in the empty stable in the due south. Divination on warfare: Unfavorable. Divination on burial: If divined in winter, it will bring wealth and honor.

畢法云：空上逢空事莫追。指南：己卯六月未加辰占病，曰：太歲發用作日破，目今無妨，但醫神發用剋日，用藥不當。木火為虎鬼，脾肺受病，未能脫體，須平肝清心，可以漸愈。卯為死我門，酉為生我戶。宜避初就末，可向空門求接命延年之術，否則壬午春，必有他虞矣。支上見胎神，家有妊婦。當二男一女，以行年推之，丁未生女，壬子、甲寅皆生男，後悉驗。

The *Ren Zhan Nan Man* records a case: In the year Ji Mao, in the sixth lunar month, a divination was made for a sickness using the method of "Chen added to Wei." The judgment said: The sovereign year (Tai Su) serves as the initiating transmission and also causes day break (Ri Po), which is not a problem at present. However, the medical god (Yi Shen) serving as the initiating transmission is in a position to overcome the day stem (Ri Gan), indicating improper use of medicine. Wood and fire transform into the White Tiger (Bai Hu) official ghost, causing illness in the spleen and lung meridians, making recovery difficult for a while. The卯 (Mao) is the death gate that overcomes me, while the酉 (You) is the life gate that generates me. Therefore, one should avoid the first transmission and take the final transmission instead. One may seek methods of prolonging life and renewing destiny in the Buddhist tradition. Otherwise, in the spring of the Ren Wu year, there will be another change. The day branch (Ri Zhi) shows the fetal god (Tai Shen), indicating that there will be a pregnant woman in the family, who will give birth to two boys and one girl. According to the calculation of the person's age, a girl will be born in the Ding Wei year, while boys will be born in the Ren Zi year and the Ji Yin year. All these predictions eventually came true.

課體：元首，不備，間傳，閉口，出產。課義：陰私疊有，獨存閉口，晝虎遁鬼，兩貴皆丑。解曰：傳課純陰，而后合元武疊見，定主陰私之事，不一而足。中末皆空，獨存初傳癸丑。閉口之卦，事有難言。如用晝將，末傳巳火，遁乙乘虎，災殃必重，縱空難解。晝貴入獄，夜貴臨午，兩貴皆傷，俱不可干，所以丑也。

The lesson pattern is "Original Head," "Incomplete," "Intermittent Transmission," "Closed Mouth," and "Production." "Closed Mouth" refers to the branch Chou added to the day stem, causing the mouth and tongue to be blocked and unable to speak. "Production" takes the image of the three transmissions moving step by step from Chou to Mao to Si. The lesson meaning says: private matters pile up one after another, leaving only a closed mouth to guard. During the day, the White Tiger brings forth the hidden official ghost, and the two noblemen, one from day and one from night, both appear unattractive. The explanation says: the four lessons and three transmissions are all yin branches, with the Heavenly Empress, Liu He, and Black Tortoise appearing repeatedly, which certainly indicates matters concerning men and women's private affairs, and not just one. The middle and final transmissions fall into emptiness, leaving only the initial transmission, Guichou, remaining. This is the Closed Mouth hexagram, indicating matters that are difficult to speak of. If taking the day general, the final transmission, Si fire, escapes from the hidden Yi wood, which is accompanied by the White Tiger, indicating serious calamity. Even if it falls into emptiness, it is difficult to resolve. The day nobleman is in the prison position, and the night nobleman is on the Wu position, both of them being injured, so they are not suitable for seeking help, hence appearing unattractive.

斷曰：間傳之課，進步艱難。五陰相繼，不利公干。酉支脫己干之氣，卻生所乘之亥水，而己土反取以為財，是即畢法所謂取還魂債也。占者得此，索取舊逋為宜。但既脫又空，耗失之事，亦不能免。

畢法云：賓主不投刑在上。指南：午將午時占病，曰：丁巳日不能生矣。蓋因祿馬發用，入中傳空絕之鄉。病人見驛馬，乃神氣出遊之象。課傳元胎，主別處投胎。虎鬼臨處為畏期，課傳既無天醫，而末傳巳火剋日，故以是日決之。

畢法云：金日逢丁凶禍動。三車一覽云：喻大師在祥符寺，一人酉加戌占疑，曰：庚日羊刃在酉，酉為金，戌為足，恐為刀斧傷足。其人固秀才，讀書有名聲，實為積盜。後事敗，太守刖其足。又一人占出入，酉加卯為行年，曰：羊刃得手，懼有所傷，不出月內，其人果斷其手，蓋酉為刃，卯為手也。

課體：元首，不備，勵德。課義：末助初神，徒為怨憎，居尊禮下，避難逃生。解曰：午為日鬼，寅乃午之長生，助初克干，是即教唆人也。幸作旬空，力弱不能相助，徒取怨憎而已。然庚則已畏矣，故屈尊禮下投干支上，俯就支生以避斯難，所謂避難逃生也。

This is what is called avoiding danger and escaping.

斷曰：元首之卦，以尊制卑，大順之象。事從外來，起於男子。干祿臨支，俯就於人，不免受其屈曲。四課陰不備，物必偏缺，事不周全。傳課六陽，凡百謀為，利公干而不利營私。
