The lesson interpretation says: the first transmission is squeezed between two sides; the three transmissions form a fire trinity, continuously draining the day stem; the only thing that can control the fire is the Zi water from the dwelling; this image is favorable only when divined at night.

解曰：戌作初傳，既為日財，復乘六合並臨，名曰夾克，不由己用；況三傳火局全盜日干之氣，但見其損，不見其益，所賴者宅上子水，足以制火之脫而生日干；又夜將乘青龍，其象反為吉也。邵南此卦，取子水比日發用，三傳水局生干主吉。

The initial transmission is戌, which originally represents the wealth爻 of the Jia wood day stem. It is also accompanied by Liu He, creating a situation where it is squeezed from above and below, thus forming a situation where the wealth is not under one's control. Moreover, the three transmissions form a fire pattern, continuously draining the energy of the day stem. There is only loss and no gain. The only reliance is on the Zi water at the dwelling position, which is sufficient to control the fire's draining effect and also supports the day stem. At night, the Zi water is accompanied by the auspicious general Qinglong, turning the situation from adverse to favorable. Shao Nan's approach to this hexagram is to use the Zi water, which is of the same type as the day stem, as the initiating transmission. The three transmissions form a water pattern to support the day stem, thus resulting in a favorable outcome.

斷曰：涉害之卦，局合炎上，占事多歷艱難，占人過於剛急。日上發用，坐於空鄉，凡百謀為，少成而多變。外合而內暌。況斬關為奔逃之象，狡童有邪僻之私，三傳火局，脫干生支，戌財遁庚，內藏暗鬼，占者不可不慎。

The interpretation states: When the hexagram involves the "Injury" trigram and the situation aligns with the "Fire Above" pattern, predicting events indicates that many difficulties will be encountered. For assessing a person's character, it suggests a tendency towards being fierce, impetuous, and hot-tempered. The divine transmission originates from the stem above the day stem, and the position is in the void, leading to few successful outcomes and frequent changes. The surface appears harmonious, but internally there is discord. Moreover, the "Cutting the Gate" indicates a sign of fleeing or escaping, and the young man harbors improper intentions. The three transmissions form a fire pattern that both drains the day stem and supports the day branch. The earth element of the wealth爻 escapes through the stem and meets the metal element of Geng, which is the official ghost of the wood element of Jia. This is like a hidden ghost within the wealth. The person seeking the divination should be cautious.

天時：求雨未雨，求晴不久。家宅：子加辰乘蛇，防婦人哭泣，戌加寅乘合，防奸丑不明。功名：不足。求財：只利索債。婚姻：防媒妁相欺。胎產：胎安，產利。疾病：主脾虛肝氣旺，宜作福。失脫：難獲。出行：宜避難遠逃。行人：子午日可到。爭訟：先發者失利。捕獲：北方水次。兵戰：大利，但防糧草不給。

Weather: When praying for rain, it does not come; when praying for clear weather, it does not last. House: Zi is on Chén and is joined by Teng Snake, so be careful of women weeping; Xu is on Yin and is joined by Liu He, so be careful of hidden disgrace. Career: Not worth pursuing. Wealth: Only beneficial for recovering old debts. Marriage: Be careful of the matchmaker deceiving both sides. Pregnancy: The fetal energy is stable, and delivery will be smooth. Illness: Indicates spleen deficiency and excessive liver energy; it is advisable to pray for fortune and perform rituals to appease. Lost items: Difficult to recover. Travel: Suitable for fleeing from trouble far away. Travelers: Will arrive on the day of Zi or Wu. Lawsuits: The party who initiates the lawsuit first will suffer loss. Capturing thieves: In the north near water. Military: Highly advantageous, but be careful of insufficient supplies.

畢法云：初遭夾克不由己，后合占婚豈用媒，合中犯煞蜜中砒。三車一覽云：火局脫氣，而反生干上財神，名為取還魂債。又三傳脫干生支，亦作屋廣人衰論，餘占皆我衰他旺之象。曾門定章云：六合者天之私門，天后蔽翳奸邪。寅克戌，又為強逼，下賊其上，過在女人。

The "Bifa Fu" says: If the first transmission is sandwiched between two others, the matter is not under one's own control; if the Heavenly Empress and Liu He appear together in a divination about marriage, there is no need for a matchmaker; if a harmonious relationship is tainted by a凶煞, it is like honey mixed with arsenic. The "Sanche Yilan" says: If the three transmissions form a fire situation that drains the energy of the day stem, yet it turns around to generate the wealth god on the day stem, this is called "taking back a soul debt." It also says: If the three transmissions drain the day stem but benefit the day branch, it should be considered as "the house is strong and the person is weak," and other divinations are all signs of one's decline and the other's strength. The "Zengmen Dingzhang" says: Liu He is the private gate of heaven, and the Heavenly Empress specializes in covering up wicked deeds. The wood of寅 overpowers the earth of戌, which is a case of the strong overpowering the weak, with the lower harming the upper, and the fault lies with the woman.

課體：知一，四絕。課義：去煞留官，仕宦欣歡，常人值此，災禍多端。

This lesson pattern is "Knowing One" combined with "Four Extremes" (the four lessons are each located in extreme positions, cutting off the flow of energy). The lesson meaning says: remove the seven evils, leaving only the proper official, officials will be very happy; ordinary people encountering this lesson will face one misfortune after another.

解曰：甲木以酉為官，以申為煞。今申被午克丑墓，全然無氣，止留日上官爻。仕宦占之，定有遷擢之喜。常人最畏官鬼臨身，倘值此卦，須憂病訟相纏。日辰上互見朱勾，初傳又乘晝虎，總為仕途所欣，常占所忌。

The explanation says: Jia wood takes You metal as its official star and Shen metal as its seven calamities. Now, Shen metal is being overcome by Wu fire above and buried by Chou earth below, so its energy is completely cut off. Only the official star of You metal remains on the day stem. If someone in official position gets this divination, they will certainly have good news of promotion. Common people most fear official spirits pressing upon them. If they encounter this hexagram, they should worry about illness and legal troubles. The day stem and day branch both encounter Zhu Que and Gou Chen, and the first transmission is daytime with Bai Hu. These are considered good signs for those in official positions, but are regarded as ominous for ordinary people.

斷曰：知一之卦，五行皆臨絕地。恩中有害，絕處逢生。三傳遞生，官鬼臨日，主有人推薦，大利功名。長生臨宅，交車相合，凡事得人扶助。當舍近就遠，勿憚艱辛，自然前程亨泰也。秋冬占之更吉。

The interpretation says: Knowing one hexagram, all five phases fall on the day of death. In matters of affection there is also harm, but in the place of death there is also a chance of new life. The three transmissions are layered and mutually generating. Officials and spirits are added to the day stem, indicating that someone will come forward to recommend, which is very favorable for fame and achievement. The god of growth is added to the position of the house, and the day stem and day branch cross and combine with each other, meaning that in all affairs one can receive help from others. One should give up small advantages in the near term and seek greater opportunities in the distant future, without fearing hardship, for the future will naturally be smooth and prosperous. It is even more favorable to divinate in autumn and winter.

天時：晴多雨少。家宅：亥加辰，晝將朱雀，主小兒哭泣之事。功名：先難後易，秋冬大吉。求財：遲而有得。婚姻：可合，稍有刑剋。胎產：胎神臨絕，利產而不利胎。投謁：和好中恐生不足。

Weather: There will be many sunny days and few rainy days. Residence: The亥 branch is added on the辰 branch, the Heavenly General during the day is the Vermilion Bird, indicating matters concerning children crying. Achievements: It will be difficult at first and then easy, with great luck in autumn and winter. Wealth: It comes slowly, but eventually there will be some gain. Marriage: It can be compatible, but there is a slight punishment. Pregnancy and childbirth: The fetal god is in the绝 position, which is favorable for childbirth but not for preserving the pregnancy. Visiting: It appears harmonious on the surface, but there may be dissatisfaction in the middle.

疾病：虛弱難愈。失脫：防捕役受賕縱賊。出行：宜近出，不利遠行。行人：在路，子日到。爭訟：宜和解。兵戰：防損並防馬病，秋占吉。墳葬：長生在支，慶遠流長。

Disease: The body is weak and difficult to recover. Lost items: Be careful that the officers may take bribes and let the thief go free. Travel: It is suitable to move nearby, but not suitable for long journeys. A traveler: Still on the way, will arrive on the day of Zi. Lawsuit: It is advisable to reconcile. Military: Be cautious of losses and also of horses falling ill; it is favorable in autumn. Graveyard: The god of growth is located on the day branch, bringing long-lasting blessings.

畢法云：交車相合交關利，合中犯煞蜜中砒，賓主不投刑在上。心印賦云：勝光臨亥為德鄉，婚姻有象不相當，立名四絕病人已，結絕舊事可消詳。又云：午加亥上見極陰，勝光為火火為心，心神熒惑生疑慮，縱疑災害不相侵。

The *Bifa Fu* says: When the day stem and day branch intersect and combine, it is favorable for trade and transactions; however, if there is aInauspicious Sha (malevolent star) involved in this combination, it is like honey mixed with arsenic; if the host and guest are not in harmony, it is due to the conflict between the superior and subordinate stars. The *Xinyin Fu* says: When Shengguang (the general of the fire element, representing the noon hour) is located on the亥 (pig) branch, it is considered a virtuous place, and although the fortune for marriage seems favorable, the families may not be of equal status; once the lesson is established as the Four Extremes, the illness of the patient will reach its end; to settle old matters, one can handle them calmly and orderly. It also says: When the noon hour (午) is placed on the亥 branch, it indicates an extremely yin place; Shengguang belongs to fire, and fire governs the heart, so the mind becomes restless like the planet Fluorescent惑 (a planet associated with confusion), causing suspicion and doubt; however, even though there is doubt, actual calamity will not really affect the person.

課體：反吟，絕胎，孤辰。課義：善者既陷，惡者浪蕩，所舉百事，無些影響。

This lesson pattern is reverse chant, with "绝胎" (the spirit of the original fetus falls into the绝 place, and the fetal energy cannot form properly) and Guchen. The lesson meaning says: the good side has already fallen into Kongwang, and the bad side floats without a place to rest; no matter what action is taken, there is no response at all.

解曰：寅為日之德祿，雖在初末，而值旬空。申為日之鬼煞，雖臨日入傳，而坐空地。是善者不能為善，惡者不能為惡，善惡俱無實也。卦體反吟，日上陰陽，盡歸空陷。辰上魁罡，來去無常。雖孟舉事，何所據乎。

It is explained that寅 is both the Heavenly Virtue and the禄神 of the Jia day stem, although it occupies both the first and final transmissions, it is precisely in the旬空. The申 is the official ghost and seventh evil of the Jia day, although it is both adjacent to the day stem and included in the three transmissions, it is also seated in theKongwang. Thus, good things cannot become good, and bad things cannot become bad; neither good nor evil have real substance. The hexagram itself is a reverse chant, with the yang and yin spirits above the day stem both falling into the empty and trapped position; above the day branch are the Tian Gui and Tian Gang, which come and go without certainty. Even if one wishes to do something, what evidence can be used?

斷曰：反吟無依之卦，格合元胎，課名四絕。事主呻吟反覆，遲滯無成，闇昧不通，徒勞罔濟。況祿馬官星，皆臨空絕，以求榮福，何異捕風捉影。惟宜解散憂愁，及利九流方外耳。寅年月占之，庶望有成。

The interpretation says: This is a hexagram of reverse chant without support, with a structure matching the original embryo, and the lesson is called Four Extremes. It indicates that matters will be repeated and painful, delayed and difficult to achieve, dark and uncommunicative, with efforts wasted and no benefit. Moreover, the official star, the post-horse, and the official star are all in the position of kongwang and absolute extinction. Relying on them to seek honor and fortune is like grasping at shadows. Such a lesson is only suitable for dispelling worries, or beneficial to those in professions like medicine, divination, astrology, monks, and hermits. If the year or month is in the sign of Yin, there is a slight hope of achieving something.

天時：晴雨無常。家宅：不寧，防有陰私。功名：寅年亥月吉，餘無成。婚姻：反覆不成。胎產：防繫鬼胎。求財：徒勞無得。投謁：不遇。疾病：新病即瘥，久病不吉。

Weather: It is clear or rainy with no regular pattern. Residence: Unstable, beware of secret matters. Achievements: Favorable in the Year of the Tiger and Month of the Pig, otherwise not successful. Marriage: Unstable, likely to fail. Pregnancy: Beware of ghostly pregnancy or false pregnancy. Seeking wealth: Wasting effort, getting nothing. Visiting: Unable to meet anyone. Illness: New illness will recover quickly, but long-term illness is unfavorable.

失脫：繫宅中奴僕所竊，移遠就近可獲。出行：改期。行人：主未動身，或將至復他往。爭訟：解散。兵戰：大利。墳葬：東南方近孔道，或河津處佳。

Lost item: It was stolen by a servant within the house; by narrowing the search area from far to near, one can find it. Travel: The journey will be postponed. A traveler: The person has not yet set out, or is about to go but will change direction. Lawsuit: It will resolve itself and dissipate. Military action: It will be highly advantageous. Grave site: The best location is in the southeast near a main road or by a river crossing.

畢法云：晝夜貴加求兩貴，來去俱空豈動移。課經云：支上戌財生干上申鬼，又戌旬遁庚作暗鬼，大不利謁貴求財，即生災禍。斗魁乘六合臨辰，亦名斬關。如占時發用者，名動中不動，尋遠在近處，兼中末空亦然。如初見太歲，中末見月建或日辰，亦名移遠就近，將緩為速。

The "Bifa Fu" says: If both the daytime nobleman and the nighttime nobleman are present, they can assist together; if both the coming and going paths are empty, then what is the point of moving or traveling. The "Ke Jing" says: The戌 earth element, which represents wealth, is on the day branch and goes to birth the day stem's 申 metal official ghost. Since戌 is also hidden in the current ten heavenly stems and gets庚, the庚 metal becomes an hidden official ghost, which is extremely unfavorable for seeking noblemen or seeking wealth, and any movement will bring disaster. The斗魁 (戌) is riding on the六合 and is added to the day branch, which is also called cutting the gate. If the initiating transmission is exactly the divine spirit of the time, it is called "movement without movement," meaning the thing sought seems far away but is actually nearby; if the middle and final transmissions fall into empty, it is also viewed in the same way. If the first transmission meets the old age, and the middle and final transmissions meet the month builder or the day branch, it is also called "moving from far to near," which makes originally slow matters quick.

課體：涉害，度厄，寡宿。課義：干祿告免，家俬內戰，傳墓入墓，行人立見。

This lesson's pattern is involved in the "involved harm" ("涉害"), "crossing the peril" ("度厄") and "solitary residence" ("Guasu"). In the four lessons, three of the lessons are instances of lower elements attacking upper ones, like crossing a river to escape a peril, which is very arduous. The meaning of the lesson says: the day stem's禄神 can only offer a narrow escape; family private matters involve internal conflicts; the three transmissions start from theTomb Spirit and fall into theTomb Spirit again; only in the case of a traveler will he be seen immediately.

解曰：寅為干祿，然上遭墓覆，下受酉克，是為仰丘俯仇，雖發用而不足恃也。宅上神克初傳，因而遞克，是為三傳內戰。況中傳未既來墓，豈宜末傳子水，復入於墓鄉乎。凡占不宜，惟占行人，可立見其至耳。

It is explained that Yin is the禄神 of Jia wood, but it is covered above by theTomb Spirit and restrained below by You metal, which is called looking up to a hill and looking down to an enemy. Although it serves as the initiating transmission, it is unreliable. The deity of the dwelling place comes torestrain the first transmission, and this continues layer by layer, resulting in the three transmissions fighting among themselves. Moreover, the middle transmission's Wei is already the墓神, and the final transmission's Zi water again falls into the墓乡 (the墓 of Zi water is in Chen), so it is impossible to be appropriate. In all divinations, it is unsuitable, but only when divining about a traveler can one immediately see someone coming.

斷曰：涉害之卦，三下賊上，又名度厄。事涉艱辛，情多乖隔。所喜德祿驛馬發用，然值旬空，又中末傳墓入墓，凡百謀為，俱難成就。況孤辰有別離之象，龍戰有乖戾之虞。進退更張，全無定著，在占者見機趨避而已。

The interpretation says: This is a卦 of involvement in harm. Among the four lessons, three are instances where the lower god steals from the upper god, also called "passing through hardship." The matter will require great hardship, and human relationships will often be obstructed and discordant. Fortunately, Heavenly Virtue, the禄神, and the Post-horse are all initiating transmissions, but unfortunately they are falling into the旬空. Moreover, the middle transmission and final transmission both move from the墓, making all plans difficult to achieve. Furthermore, Guchen indicates the image of parting and separation, and the struggle of yin and yang brings about worries and anxieties. Whether to advance, retreat, or change course, there is no certainty. The person asking the question can only act according to the opportunity, seeking good fortune and avoiding misfortune.

天時：陰晴不定，有風。家宅：防有窩犯鬥訟之累及火災。功名：防為有勢力者所扼。求財：當前而不得取。婚姻：不合。胎產：主生女，或私孕。疾病：主脾胃或口齒，新病癒，久病凶。失脫：賊自內出，捕者不力。出行：傍徨不定。行人：立至。爭訟：理雖直，防遭曲斷；事雖小，恐化為大。兵戰：防失眾心。

Weather: Cloudy and sunny with wind. Residence: Be careful of being implicated due to hiding a criminal or a fight leading to a lawsuit, and also beware of fire. Official position: Be careful of being blocked by someone in power. Seeking wealth: Wealth is right in front, but it cannot be obtained. Marriage: Inappropriate. Pregnancy: Likely to give birth to a girl, or a secret pregnancy. Disease: The illness is in the spleen and stomach, or in the mouth and teeth; new illness can recover, but chronic illness is dangerous. Lost items: The thief left from home, and the officers are unwilling to exert effort. Travel: Uncertain, unable to make up one's mind. Traveler: Will arrive soon. Lawsuit: Although the reason is on one's side, be careful of being judged as having no reason; although the matter is small, it may escalate. Military: Be careful of losing the support of the people.

畢法云：傳墓入墓分憎愛，害貴訟直遭曲斷。課經云：未貴為墓覆日，丑貴又受寅克，子未相穿，凡占多弄巧成拙。如識時去就，庶無大害。又秋占未為關神，臨干入傳，遁作旬丁，更凶。又寅加酉祿作空亡坐克方，夜占乘虎，病必絕食。指掌賦云：三下賊為長度厄，越海無舟楫之形。

The *Bifa Fu* says: When the spirit of the tomb transmits and then falls back into the tomb spirit, one must distinguish between aversion and affection; if the nobleman is harmed, even if there is reason in a lawsuit, it will be judged as unjust. The *Ke Jing* says: A nobleman who has not yet arrived becomes the tomb spirit covering the day stem, while a nobleman on Chou is further restrained by Yin wood. Zi and Wei mutually pierce each other; in most cases, such divinations lead to clumsy outcomes. Only by clearly understanding the situation and deciding on departure or stay can one hope to avoid great harm. It also says: In autumn, Wei is the key spirit. If it is placed on the day stem and enters the three transmissions, and the hidden stem coincides with the Ding spirit of the current ten-day cycle, it becomes even more dangerous. It also says: When Yin is placed on You, the禄 spirit falls into Kongwang and sits in a position that is being restrained. If this occurs at night and the White Tiger is involved, the sick person will certainly not eat at all. The *Zhipang Fu* says: When the three lessons have the thief below and the ruler above, it is called "length of misfortune," like trying to cross the sea without a boat or oar.

課體：蒿矢，潤下，勵德。課義：笑裡有毒，鬼賊滿屋，末助初傳，午畏水局。

This lesson pattern is called Hāo Shǐ, "Willow Bow," and it combines "Rùn Xià" (Water) and "Lì Dé" (Encouragement of Virtue). The lesson interpretation says: smiles hide poison; officials and thieves fill the house; the final transmission helps the first transmission to attack together; the午 fire on the day stem is most afraid of this water trinity.

解曰：申子辰三合，而內課寅午戌，各與之相沖，是為笑裡有毒也。申為日鬼，臨宅發用。辰為末傳，元武並乘，是鬼賊滿屋也。末助初以克干，全賴干上午火相救，而全水之局，又來克之。水雖生干，而反克干之救神，終不離合中犯煞之意。

The explanation says: The three trigrams of Shen, Zi, and Chen form a water trinity, while the three trigrams of Yin, Wu, and Xu within the four lessons each conflict with them one by one. This situation of harmony combined with conflict is called "toxin in a smile." Shen is the official ghost of Jia wood, and it is placed over the dwelling position and acts as the initiating transmission. Chen is the final transmission, and on top of it sits the heavenly general Yuanwu, the master of thieves—this is the situation of official ghosts and thieves filling the house. The final transmission helps the first transmission to overcome the day stem, but the day stem is saved only by the fire at Wu on top of it. However, the entire water trinity turns back to overcome this fire. Although water can nourish the day stem, it ends up overcoming the day stem's savior, so in the end, it still cannot escape the meaning of "offense within harmony."

斷曰：蒿矢之卦，申金發用，即為有鏃。雖曰禍福俱輕，而為力稍重矣。三傳合潤下之局，甲木逢之，重重助益，謀事宜必有成。惜乎干上空脫，末助初克，又且合中有沖，鬼臨宅上，未見全美。午火受制，子孫不利。

The interpretation says: The卦 of the蓬蒿 arrow, with the initiating transmission being the metal of Shen, means that the蓬蒿 arrow is now equipped with a metal arrowhead. Although both misfortune and fortune are light, the force is somewhat heavier. The three transmissions form a water pattern of nourishing and descending, and the wood of Jia is assisted by layers of support, so the matter should originally be successful. Unfortunately, the day stem is both empty and robbed of its strength, and the final transmission helps the initial one to overcome it. Moreover, there is a conflict within the combination, and the official ghost is located in the dwelling position, so it cannot be perfectly complete. The fire of Wu is restrained, indicating that the descendants' generation will be unfavorable.

天時：雨多晴少。家宅：貧耗不寧。功名：夏月晝占吉，不利微員。求財：防能生災作禍。婚姻：和合中有刑沖。胎產：胎坐長生，占孕安，占產不利。投謁：防遭貴怒。疾病：主虛脫，日德空亡，尤不利尊長。

Weather: There is more rain than sunshine. Residence: Poor and barren, causing loss and unrest. Official rank: It is favorable during the day in summer, but unfavorable for minor positions. Seeking wealth: Be cautious as seeking wealth may bring disaster and trouble. Marriage: Harmony is present but with some conflicts and clashes. Pregnancy and childbirth: TheFetal Spirit is sitting on the long life position, indicating a safe pregnancy but an unfavorable childbirth. Visiting: Be cautious of angering the nobleman. Disease: It indicates a condition of exhaustion; the day stem's heavenly virtue also falls on kongwang, which is particularly unfavorable for elders.

失脫：家中小兒所遺，在北方尋。出行：有事復返。行人：舟行即至，陸行有阻。爭訟：彼此耗財，財多者勝。捕獲：賊在西方七十里，道旁近水。兵戰：晝占吉，夜占不利。

Lost item: It is something left by a child at home; look for it in the north. Travel: The person has gone out but will return due to some matter. Traveler: The person comes by boat and will arrive soon, but if traveling by land there will be obstacles. Lawsuit: Both parties will lose money, and the one with more money will win. Capturing a thief: The thief is seventy li west of here, near a water source by the main road. Military engagement: It is favorable in the daytime but unfavorable at night.

畢法云：合中犯煞蜜中砒，人宅受脫俱招盜。課經云：辰為日財而上乘申鬼，是為危中取財，況辰土助申克干，為教唆詞訟之人，故取財必致官非也。指掌賦云：貴人臨卯酉，分前後為勵德，庶人吝而君子亨通。

The "Ke Jing" says: The hour of辰 is the wealth爻 of the Jia wood, but it is occupied by the Shen metal official ghost, which is called taking wealth in danger; moreover, the soil of辰 helps the Shen metal to restrain the day stem, symbolizing someone who incites others to sue, so obtaining this wealth will certainly lead to legal troubles. The "Zhipang Fu" says: When the nobleman is in the卯 or酉 position, it is divided into two categories according to whether it is before or after, both called励德. Common people encountering this will find things difficult to proceed, while the virtuous will find it smooth and prosperous.

課體：重審，元胎。課義：宛轉益己，不利於彼，家宅動搖，憂變為喜。

This divination lesson pattern is called Re-examination and Original Womb. The meaning of the lesson states: the three transmissions turn around and generate each other, ultimately benefiting oneself; however, the other side is unfavorable; the family residence shows signs of instability and unease; although there is worry, it will eventually turn into joy.

解曰：申為日鬼發用，似乎可憂。殊不知申生亥，亥復生寅，宛轉相生，適足為益於己也。寅克辰土，故獨不利於彼。未乃干墓，又遁旬丁，以臨宅上，主動搖不安之象。申先剋日，而後迤邐相生，非憂變為喜而何。

It is explained that the metal of Shen is the official ghost of Jia wood and initiates the transmission, which appears to be a cause for worry. But little is known that the metal of Shen generates the water of Hai, which in turn generates the wood of Yin, and through mutual generation, it ultimately benefits itself. The wood of Yin overcomes the earth of Chen, so it is only detrimental to the day branch side. The earth of Wei is the storage of Jia wood, and this cycle also has the spirit of Ding, now added to the dwelling position, indicating instability in the family residence. Although the metal of Shen initially overcomes the day stem, it later generates through a series of mutual generations, which is precisely the transformation of worry into joy.

斷曰：重審之卦，三傳皆孟，格合元胎，事多不順。隱而未著，遠而難通，守正則亨，妄為取咎。又神將內戰，必因爭奪生災。夜占尤有驚恐，惟喜三傳遞生。官文祿馬，無不入傳，猶嫌寅落旬空，必得寅亥月占，方為全美。

The interpretation says: The卦 is a review and re-examination. The three transmissions, which are Shen, Hai, and Yin, are all in the position of the first quarter. The structure is in harmony with the beginning of a new life. The matter tends to be unsmooth: something is hidden but not yet revealed, the path is long and difficult to reach. If one stays on the right path, it will be smooth and prosperous; but if one acts recklessly, it will bring misfortune. Moreover, the Heavenly General and the riding deity are fighting among themselves, which will certainly lead to disaster due to contention. Night divination is especially alarming. What is reassuring is that the three transmissions are in a sequence of mutual generation; the official star, documents,禄神, and the post-horse are all included in the three transmissions. The only regret is that Yin falls in the旬空. It can only be fully complete if the divination is done in the month of Yin or Hai.

天時：雨中時見日色，出旬始晴。家宅：不寧，防陰小作耗。功名：亥月晝占大利，得人扶持之力。求財：得失相仍，且防有禍。婚姻：晝占吉，恐未能即成。胎產：防損。疾病：漸愈。

Weather: It is raining with the sun occasionally showing through; the weather will only clear up properly after this week. Residence: The house is not peaceful; be careful of hidden losses from women or small mouths. Officialdom: It is very favorable to get help from others if the divination is done during the day in the month of亥. Seeking wealth: There will be gains and losses alternating continuously, and also be cautious of troubles arising from this. Marriage: Divination during the day is favorable, but fear that it may not be settled quickly. Pregnancy: Be careful of possible harm to the fetus. Illness: The condition will gradually improve.

失脫：主有勢家隱庇。出行：考試赴任俱吉，餘不利。行人：占弟兄即至。爭訟：多虛費，先難後緩。捕獲：盜神是未，乃在西南方，有職人員家。兵戰：宜慎。

Lost items: The owner is a powerful family who has hidden the item. Travel: Going to take an exam or take office is auspicious, but other travel is not favorable. Travelers: This refers to the whereabouts of a brother, who will arrive soon. Lawsuits: Usually involve spending money in vain, with difficulties first and then easing. Capturing thieves: The thief god is Wei, the thief is in the southwest, and it is a family with an official position. Military affairs: Should be cautious.

畢法云：三傳遞生人舉薦。三車一覽云：日干生其上神，晝乘太常，上神又生天將，亦為脫上逢脫。又未加支，四月占為月厭飛廉，亦為天日煞。乘旬內丁神，如占人未為本命，必宅中怪物現形，或夜多怪夢也。

The "Bifa Fu" says: When the three transmissions are successively mutually generating, it indicates that someone will recommend a person. The "Sanche Yilan" says: When the day stem goes to generate the superior god above it, and that god is riding on Tai Chang, and then that superior god goes on to generate the heavenly general it is riding on, this is called a further leakage. It also says: When the unmarked day branch is added to the day branch, and the divination is made in the fourth month, it is considered as month aversion and Feilian, also called Tianri Sha; if it is riding on the Ding god of the current ten-day period, then if the person seeking divination has their birth day on the unmarked day, there must be a supernatural creature appearing in the family, or they will have many strange dreams at night.

課體：涉害，間傳，斬關，贅婿，狡童。課義：午火可賴，事不出外，財自然來，晝占可畏。

The lesson pattern of this divination is involved in harm, intermediate transmission, cutting the gate, a赘婿 (a man with a wife's family), and a cunning boy. The meaning of the lesson says: the fire in the day branch above is reliable; the matter will not go beyond the door; wealth will come to the door by itself; however, there is something frightening during the day.

解曰：申為日鬼，又乘晝虎，其勢甚凶，賴得午以制之。三傳循環，不離四課，故事不出外也。辰財臨干，是為自然上門。但六合並臨，與日夾克，財雖來而不由己用。若晝占助起末傳虎鬼，能無畏乎。夜將子虎沖支，家宅亦有驚怪。

It is explained that the metal of the monkey (申) is the official ghost of the wood of Jia (甲), and it is riding on the White Tiger of the day, which makes its approach very fierce. Fortunately, the fire of Wu (午) on the day branch is able to overcome the metal and restrain it. The three transmissions, which are Chen (辰), Wu (午), and Shen (申), do not go beyond the scope of the four lessons, forming a circle, so the matter will not go outside the door. The earth of Chen (辰), which represents wealth, is added upon the day stem, meaning that wealth comes to the person on its own. However, the Liu He (六合) is also added upon it, and together with the day stem, it surrounds and restrains the wealth, so although the wealth comes, it is not under the person's control. If this is a daytime divination, the fire of Wu (午) will actually assist the final transmission, which is riding on the White Tiger and represents the official ghost, making it hard for a person to feel safe. At night, the Heavenly General is on Zi (子), which rides on the White Tiger to clash with the day branch, causing disturbances in the family and home.

斷曰：涉害之卦，順進間傳，凡事必多間隔。辰午申為登三天之課，事干天庭，仕宦必登高位。常占不吉，又格合斬關。貴登天門，罡塞鬼戶，六神藏而四煞沒，利於逃災避難，秘計陰謀。贅婿有依人之象，狡童防不正之私。

The interpretation states: This is a "Shihai Gu" (Injury卦) divination. The three transmissions proceed in order, passing through each position in sequence, indicating that matters will certainly involve many delays and intervals. The hours of Chen, Wu, and Shen are "Deng San Tian" (Ascending Three Heavens) divinations, implying that matters concern the court and heavenly officials, and officials will certainly attain high positions. For ordinary people, this is an inauspicious omen, especially since the structure also aligns with "Zhang Guan" (Cutting the Gate). The Nobleman ascends the Heavenly Gate, the Tiangang (Heavenly Stem) blocks the Ghost Gate, the Six Spirits are concealed, and the four evils are eliminated. This is favorable for escaping calamities and avoiding difficulties, as well as for secretly planning confidential affairs. A赘婿 (a man who marries into another family) represents an attachment to others, while a cunning young man should be cautious of improper private relationships.

天時：主得甘霖。家宅：晝占吉，有喜事。功名：利於顯者，不利小位。求財：遲得。婚姻：主作贅婿，夜占不吉。胎產：防有驚恐。疾病：見凶有解。失脫：難尋獲，逃者難追。出行：利避難。行人：有阻。爭訟：必至上達部院，然終有解。兵戰：宜行詭道，勿追敗兵，恐有詐。

Weather: There will be a good rain. Residence: It is auspicious during the day, and there will be joy in the family. Official rank: Beneficial to those who are already successful, but not favorable to those in low positions. Seeking wealth: It will come late, but eventually will be obtained. Marriage: The man is expected to go live in the wife's family, and it is inauspicious if divined at night. Pregnancy: Be careful of being startled. Disease: Although there is ainauspicious sign (unfavorable omen), there is a way to be saved. Lost items: Difficult to recover, and those who have run away cannot be caught. Travel: Favorable for avoiding danger. Travelers: There will be obstacles on the way. Lawsuits: It will certainly go up to the level of the ministry and court, but in the end there will be a reconciliation. Military: It is advisable to use cunning strategies, do not chase the defeated enemy troops, for there may be a trick involved.

畢法云：罡塞鬼戶任謀為，后合占婚豈用媒。課經云：春占酉將未時，日辰用神俱旺相，上乘吉將，為三光課。筆塵載越王謂范蠡曰：今三月甲辰時加日昳，孤還故鄉，得無後患乎。蠡曰：大王勿疑，直視道行，越將有福，吳當有憂。按三月甲辰酉將加未，乃斬關課，大利逃亡也。

The "Bifa Fu" says: When Tiangang blocks the Ghost Gate, one may freely plan affairs; when Heavenly Empress and Liu He appear together, there is no need for a matchmaker in matters of marriage. The "Ke Jing" says: If one divines in spring, with the酉 general at the hour of Wei, and the Day Stem and Day Branch as well as the initiating transmission god all being prosperous and strong, and the upper position occupied by a favorable general, this is called the "San Guang Ke." The "Bichen" records: King Goujian of Yue asked Fan Li, "Today is the third month, Jiachen day, and the hour is Day's Peak. I return alone to my homeland, will there be any future troubles?" Fan Li replied, "Your Majesty need not worry; just proceed along this path. Yue will have fortune, and Wu will have misfortune." Note: On the third month Jiachen day with the酉 general added to the Wei position, it is exactly the "Zhang Guan Ke," highly favorable for escape and departure.

課體：重審，進茹，六儀，升階。課義：靜則有旺，動遭羅網，晝卜亡財，夜迎盜黨。

This divination lesson pattern is called Reexamining, Advancing, and the Six Instruments combined with "Ascending Steps" (the three transmissions proceed in ascending order, like climbing steps). The lesson meaning states: if remaining quiet and still, one will remain in a prosperous condition; but once movement occurs, one will fall into a trap. If the divination is done during the day, it indicates loss of wealth; if done at night, it suggests actively inviting thieves.

解曰：甲上乘卯，辰上乘巳，靜則守其旺地，人宅俱宜。若一妄動，即成羅網，又為陽刃，及生災禍也。晝占雖遭夾克，而勾陳助土，青龍吉將，不過亡財而已。夜則巳午上乘蛇雀，皆脫干氣，是往與盜黨相迎也。

The day stem Jia is on top of the卯, and the day branch Chen has the巳 on top. If they remain still and do not move, they each stay in their strong positions, and both the person and the house are favorable. But once they act hastily, they will be caught in a trap, as the卯 is the yang blade of Jia wood, and disaster will follow. Although during the day the situation seems to be surrounded on both sides, Gou Chen belongs to earth and can support the earth of Chen, and there is also the auspicious general Qinglong present, so the loss will be only of money. At night, the巳 and午 are occupied by Teng Snake and Vermilion Bird, which drain the energy of the day stem, which is like inviting thieves to join you.

斷曰：重審之卦，順進連茹，宜靜守不宜動作，喜旬儀發用。午為正陽，有泰階之象。從辰巳升之，可以觀光利用。惜初傳坐空，干上又值旬空，凡有所占，都無誠實。又空財引入盜脫之鄉，占者宜安心守分，自獲亨通。

The interpretation says: The卦 is reviewed again, with the three transmissions following in sequence and advancing together, which is suitable for remaining still rather than taking action. Fortunately, the deity of the ten-day period is initiating the transmission. The position of Wu is a place of pure yang, showing an atmosphere like the imperial court's Taijia SanTai (three stages of the celestial steps). Moving from Chen to Si step by step, it exactly matches the meaning of the卦 "Observing the light of the state, it is advantageous to serve the king" from the Zhou Changes. Unfortunately, the first transmission is sitting on Kongwang, and the day stem also meets the empty period of the ten-day cycle, so whatever is divined lacks substantial content. Moreover, the wealth hexagram that has fallen into emptiness will lead the person into a place of theft and leakage. The person asking the question should be content to stay within their proper role and will naturally achieve success.

天時：占雨雨少，占晴晴遲。家宅：防有口舌文書之事。功名：待時。求財：財空日脫，反防耗失。婚姻：媒妁無力，不成。胎產：胎旺，晝占防損漏，夜占主生女。疾病：主虛脫，不進飲食。失脫：難尋。出行：宜止。行人：先有信至。爭訟：耗財，消釋為宜。兵戰：我虛彼實，宜堅守。

Weather: If predicting rain, there will be little rain; if predicting clear weather, the sun will come slowly. Residence: Be careful of disputes and legal matters. Official position: One can only wait for the right opportunity. Seeking wealth: The wealth element is empty and is also stolen by the day stem, so one should be careful of losing money. Marriage: The matchmaker will not be effective, and the marriage will not be successful. Pregnancy: The fetal energy is strong. If divined during the day, there is a risk of miscarriage or leakage of the fetus; if divined at night, it indicates the birth of a girl. Disease: It indicates a condition of collapse and loss of appetite. Lost items: Difficult to find. Travel: It is suitable to stop and not move. Travelers: There will be a letter arriving first. Lawsuits: It will only cause financial loss; it is better to resolve the matter peacefully. Military: Our side is weak while the enemy is strong; it is suitable to hold firm.

畢法云：所謀多拙遭羅網，脫上逢脫防虛詐，初遭夾克不由己。課經云：干上卯，初傳縱見財爻，必心多退悔，懶去取財，恐爭奪也。又辰加卯，晝夜將皆六合，夾克其財，財必他費，或妻常有病。纂要云：透關格會成火局，常人喜占，仕宦卻忌。集義云：年命在卯，名天羅自裹。

The Book of Bi Fa says: Most plans are clumsy because they have run into a net; further leakage leads to the need for vigilance against falsehood and fraud; the first transmission is squeezed between two sides, so the matter is not under one's control. The Book of Lessons says: The day stem is on top of卯, even if the first transmission meets the wealth hexagram, people's hearts are mostly hesitant and regretful, unwilling to take it, because they fear causing disputes. It also says: When辰 is on top of卯, both day and night generals are Liu He, the upper and lower parts clamp down torestrain this wealth, so this wealth must be spent elsewhere, or the wife often falls ill. The Book of Compilation says: If the Translucent Passage pattern forms a fire situation, ordinary people will be happy, but officials will be cautious. The Book of Collecting Virtues says: If the native or the year pillar is on卯, it is called "Heavenly Net Envelops Itself" — one wraps oneself into the net.
