On the Xinsi day, the twelfth layout: Heaven above Hai
Charting guides: Da Liu Ren Chart Calculator, Jin Kou Jue Chart
This lesson has three patterns: remote overcoming, arrow with metal tip, and advancing to eat. The rhyme says: an arrow made of grass with a metal tip can still injure when it hits; there will certainly be a false alarm; it is only suitable to remain silent and maintain the existing situation, following the course of events and waiting.
A bow made of wormwood shoots an arrow that would not normally hurt. However, the final transmission shows the presence of the metal element of Shen, which means the arrow is now fitted with a tip, and will certainly cause injury. Fortunately, the metal of Shen is in the empty period, so the tip of the arrow falls off again, and although there is no actual harm, there is still a false alarm. If one wishes to take action, they are caught in a trap of heaven and earth, and can only wait quietly, allowing the water of Hai and Zi to drain the energy of the day stem. This is a situation of following the course of events and being confined without progress.
The interpretation says: This is a lesson of distant control and shooting arrows, beginning with a thunderous sound, but eventually it will gradually dissipate. The matter is empty and distant, with light fortune or misfortune. Now looking at the yang and yin spirits of the four lessons:亥 and 午 are self-punishment, 子 and 未 are harmful, 子 and 午 are in conflict, the two waters of 亥 and 子 overcome the fire of 午, and the earth of 未 also turns back to overcome the water of 亥. The interactions between upper and lower are all about conflict and control, mutually restraining, each guarding their own domain, reaching the extreme of discord. What this indicates is not only that the host and guest are not in harmony, but even husband and wife will turn against each other.
Heavenly conditions show fire being restrained by water, and water being harmed by earth, resulting in neither clear weather nor rain. For the household, if the question is asked in the month of卯 and on the day of卯, there will be a mourning event within the house. For official rank and government positions, the official star and nobleman are both in the initiating transmission, which is suitable for seeking the nobleman. However, the three transmissions proceed continuously to the亥 water on the day stem, and the亥 water then restrains the official star, which is not favorable. For marriage, there are mutual conflicts, clashes, and harms among the four lessons, making it extremely unsuitable. For seeking wealth, the wealth element does not appear; even if obtained, it will be lost. For pregnancy and childbirth, both mother and child are in danger. For illness, it indicates coughing up blood, with the disease affecting the heart meridian and being difficult to cure. For travel, since the post-horse is already present, one will have to go even if not willing. For a traveler, since the post-horse is on the day stem, the person who has left will return soon. For military affairs, both sides have gains and losses, and ultimately the visiting side will win.
The "Bifa Fu" says: Most plans are clumsy because they have encountered the heavenly net and earthly trap. In divination records, on the year Wushen, in the eleventh lunar month, with the hour of yin as the month general added to the hour of chou, the divination about a grandson's studies was interpreted as: The water of the day stem is riding on the Black Tortoise, one metal is generating two waters, and all are of a stealing and leaking nature, so the elderly in the family will suffer from leakage disease. Since the dwelling is in conflict with the day stem, and the day stem itself is in a state of leakage, not only will the person's official career be difficult to achieve, but this child may die young. The "Lunin Zhi Nan" records divination about a traveler, stating: He has already started his journey, arriving on the day of bingxu. Because the post-horse is on the day stem, the nobleman is in the day branch, and the蒿矢 is the initiating transmission, the traveler will come quickly. However, the post-horse is in the place of extinction, and that is also the place of extinction for the initiating transmission deity, so he will arrive on time.
On the Renwu day, first arrangement: the stem is on the亥 (Boar) position.
This lesson has three types: Hidden Chant; 'Self-Reliance', which in a Hidden Chant lesson on a Yang day uses the god above the day stem to initiate the transmission, indicating a strong and self-willed nature; and 'Blocked Transmission', where the three transmissions mutually punish and harm each other, leading to blockage. The rhyme says: if the禄神 is above with Tian Kong during the day or Tai Chang at night, both wealth and禄 will be harmed; if one ignores this and pursues something else, it will result in hidden harm and discord at home.
A strong禄神 is present at the initiating transmission, but during the day it is accompanied by 「Tian Kong」 (a general associated with deception and falsehood), and at night by Tai Chang. The禄神 is injured by the Heavenly General and also carries a刑, making it very difficult to hold on. Thus, it inevitably turns to the middle transmission's wealth star, but it is unaware that the午 fire is positioned over the劫财, causing the wealth to be injured as well. Therefore, both wealth and禄 are injured. Although wealth and禄 are injured, one should still be cautious in holding on, as there may still be some benefit. If one abandons this path and seeks another, it will inevitably turn to the final transmission's子 water. 子 is both a net and a Yangren, representing a defeated劫财. It冲 and克 the午 fire, causing hidden injuries, and there is no trace of harmony left.
The interpretation states: Hidden Chant and taking self as the subject, the person is strong-willed, impetuous, and self-opinionated. If this punishment and harm continue unchecked, it will inevitably lead to mistakes and faults. Now, the three transmissions are mutually punishing and harming each other, forming Du transmission, indicating an obstruction and blockage.
Heavenly Stems: Jia, Yi, Bing, Ding, Wu, Ji, Geng, Xin, Ren, Gui Earthly Branches: Zi, Chou, Yin, Mao, Chen, Si, Wu, Wei, Shen, You, Xu, Hai Trigrams: Qian (Heaven), Dui (Lake), Li (Fire), Zhen (Thunder), Xun (Wind), Kan (Water), Gen (Mountain), Kun (Earth) Glossary: Travel = Chuxing The Post-horse = Yimǎ Heavenly Empress = Tianhou Liu He = Liuhe Tiangang (Chen) = Tiangang Final Transmission = Muchuan Initiating Transmission = Fuyong Self-Punishment = Zixing Heavenly Stems are positioned with Tiangang resting in its own place, and water and fire are mixed together, indicating a sudden rain followed by clear skies, or clear skies followed by rain. For the family home, because the occupant is riding Zixing, there will certainly be damage; also riding Tianhou and Liuhe, private matters are unavoidable. For official rank, with the day's禄 and 德 initiating transmission, one will initially be successful, but later will not be satisfied. For seeking wealth, there will be both gains and losses. For marriage, the male is not favorable, and the female is also not auspicious. For pregnancy, if one divines in the seventh month, the wife will certainly be pregnant, but there will be unavoidable injuries. For illness, one may suffer from a condition where one cannot speak and can only moan. For travel, because the net falls in the final transmission, and there is no Ding spirit or Yimǎ, it is a sign of immobility. The traveler is merely a relative temporarily away and will return. For military affairs, divining during the day shows more deceit, while divining at night is slightly better.
The *Bi Fa Fu* says: If the spirit of wealth and the spirit of offspring ride on life qi, it indicates the wife is pregnant (as in the seventh month); if they ride on death qi, it suggests the pregnancy is harmed (as in the first month). Records of divination cases state: In the tenth month, with the寅 (Yin) as the month general placed at the寅 (Yin) hour, the divination about promotion and transfer was interpreted as: currently enjoying salary, and also accompanied by Tai Chang, indicating having a part-time position but not yet promoted or transferred; fortunately, someone from the supervisory authority will plead on his behalf to relieve his position. This is because the Zi (Water) and Wu (Fire) positions are where officials and dignitaries pass through, which are also where the supervisory authority resides; the god preceding the month builder also represents the supervisory authority, so it is certain that one must appeal to this person to relieve his post. Later events indeed proved this to be true.
On the Renwu day, the second section: the stem is over the戌 (dog) position.
This lesson has four patterns: Yuan Shou, Tui Ru; "Six Instruments," the branch of the beginning of the current ten-day period is the instrument god (Renwu belongs to the Jiaxu ten-day period, and Xu is the instrument of the period), obtaining it indicates there is protection; Zhan Guan. The rhyme says: the pass is blocked one after another; the White Tiger rides on the Xu earth and presses on the day stem; wanting to retreat to seek a chance for survival, but the rear is blocked by an empty void.
The Hekui (Xu) is placed on Hai and initiates the transmission, called "Kui Du Tian Men." Whatever is divined in this case indicates obstruction. The Xu earth transforms into the White Tiger and is placed over the Day Stem, thus attacking the Day Stem. All matters become extremely dangerous and cannot be avoided at once. Therefore, one is forced to retreat to the metal regions of Shen and You in search of a way out, but those regions are empty and trapped. Truly, there is no way forward and no way to survive by retreating, indicating a situation of being trapped with no escape. Fortunately, the Chen earth in the fourth lesson, riding the Teng Snake, comes to clash with this, thus dispersing the danger.
The interpretation says: The Six Instruments combined with cutting the gate are originally auspicious signs indicating favorable action; but now they meet with obstruction and retreat, making it impossible to move even a step. Moreover, the White Tiger transforms into a ghost in the open, following people day and night without leaving, which is a serious danger. If it meets the Month General or Month Builder of Shen or You, then it may not be considered凶.
Heavenly conditions are obstructed due to the name of the divination lesson. On clear days, the sun is not visible, and on rainy days, rain does not fall. For the home, during the day, a nobleman is present, so if there is already a nobleman in the family, it is auspicious, but if there is no nobleman, it is inauspicious. For official positions, the combination of戌 and亥 is the messenger for promotion, so an official position will certainly be obtained soon, but after obtaining it, there may be misfortune. For seeking wealth, the wealth element does not appear, and both the Azure Dragon and Tai Chang are in empty positions, so wealth cannot be obtained. For marriage, both day and night are marked by the White Tiger, indicating the man will be violent. During the day, the woman is respected, but at night, the woman will be in danger. For childbirth, the day stem is occupied by a yang spirit, with the upper element strong and the lower weak, so a son is certain. For illness, the戌 earth White Tiger overcomes the壬 water, and the申酉 gold is in an empty and trapped position, indicating a disease of lung deficiency and kidney exhaustion, which is likely to be difficult to recover from. For travel, the post-horse is in an empty and trapped position, so one must wait until after this month to start. For a traveler, the Tiangang is added to巳, meaning the person has not yet started. For military affairs, the White Tiger and ghost spirits accompany day and night, which is inauspicious both day and night.
The *Bifa Fu* says: When Hekui crosses the heavenly gate, the matter of separation is determined; if the day stem is occupied by the tomb deity White Tiger, do not use it to divinate illness; if the three transmissions do not move, examine the first transmission and the time of divination; if White Tiger is on the day stem and transforms into a ghost, misfortune comes quickly; when the official promoter appears, it marks the date of taking office. The *Liu Ren Jing Yun* says: When戌 is placed on亥, during the day, both the tomb deity and White Tiger are present, and divination of illness often indicates difficulty in eating, blockage of qi, or interference by malevolent spirits; using methods to purge downward is advisable. All such divinations revolve around the concept of "separation." It is like sailing a boat to climb Jiange or driving a heavily loaded cart across Jiangjin.
On the Renwu day, third section, the stem is on You.
This lesson has three patterns: the supreme ruler, the cutting gate, and the intermediate messenger. The rhyme says: the yang deity is positioned at the yang place, with two noblemen residing on either side as neighbors; when the hour and the酉 sign combine, the matter is decided, indicating a person who is fond of wine and women and thus destroys themselves.
The day branch represents the house, and the left and right of the house are the neighbors. On a day of Ren, the branches Si and Mao are considered the day and night noblemen. Now, Si and Mao are exactly on either side of Chen. Moreover, the yang spirit and yin spirit of the day branch are flanked by the three yang positions Yin, Chen, and Wu, enclosing the day and night noblemen in the middle. This is precisely the situation of yang supporting yang spirits, with the two noblemen as neighbors. When You is located on Hai, it gains water and becomes wine. You also represents a woman. Chen is Gou Chen, the deity of private desires. When Chen and You combine, they naturally lead to a desire for wine and women. Why is it said that this leads to downfall? Because Chen is the storage place for water, and You is the place of bathing and decline.
The interpretation states: This lesson is called "Cutting the Gate," with the initiating transmission being Tian Liang. It is suitable for hiding, retreating, and living in seclusion, indicating the image of traveling away from home. Both the day stem and day branch carry self-punishment, inevitably causing harm to oneself; the stem and branch also harmonize with each other, and with the successive appearance of Tian Hou and Liu He, there must be matters of private affairs. The misfortune does not come from outside, but is certainly self-inflicted.
Heavenly Stems: Jia, Yi, Bing, Ding, Wu, Ji, Geng, Xin, Ren, Gui Earthly Branches: Zi, Chou, Yin, Mao, Chen, Si, Wu, Wei, Shen, You, Xu, Hai Trigrams: Qian (Heaven), Dui (Lake), Li (Fire), Zhen (Thunder), Xun (Wind), Kan (Water), Gen (Mountain), Kun (Earth) Tiangang points to the Wu position in the heavens. Wind Deity initiates the first transmission, but there is only wind without rain. The household is afflicted by self-punishment of the day stem and day branch, with no harmony. For official positions, the final transmission has both day and night occupied by Azure Dragon and White Tiger, indicating the possibility of obtaining an official post. For seeking wealth, the wealth element does not appear, and Azure Dragon turns into a ghost, making it difficult to obtain wealth. For marriage, both the stem and branch are self-punishing and have multiple subsequent combinations, indicating inauspiciousness for both the male and female sides. For childbirth, although the child and mother are compatible, they are self-punishing, and the three transmissions are arranged in reverse order, indicating an inauspicious omen for childbirth. For illness, daytime divination indicates a severe condition, while nighttime divination suggests a reduction in severity. For travel, the stem and branch are self-punishing and injurious to the body, making both water and land travel unfavorable. For a traveler, Tiangang is added to the four central positions, indicating the traveler is still on the way. For military affairs, the first transmission overcomes the final transmission, indicating advantage for the guest side and disadvantage for the host side.
The "Bi Fa Fu" says: If Kongwang appears again on Kongwang, there is no need to pursue further; the reason the guest and host do not get along is because the punishment falls on the upper god. The "Zhi Zhang Fu" says: If the three transmissions are寅, 子, and 戌, it is called "Ming Yin Ge," because寅 is the direction where the sun rises, while 子 and 戌 are where the Yin energy is strongest. From寅 to 戌, there is an appearance of Yang energy retreating into Yin. Whenever a divination shows a transition from light to darkness, one should be cautious of losses in the dark, and this is especially dangerous for matters concerning official positions.
On the fourth arrangement of Renwu day, the stem is on Shen.
This lesson has two patterns: the original head and the original embryo. The rhyme says: that point of generating and supporting is empty and unreliable; proceeding forward, one meets only depletion and loss; the Heavenly General one rides upon must be carefully distinguished; the nobleman of the day should not be reported to.
Shen metal is naturally able to generate Ren water, and when it is placed on the day stem, it is very favorable. Unfortunately, it is exactly at the旬空, so it is unreliable. The first transmission falls into an area of kongwang, and also brings brokenness. The second transmission to the third transmission becomes a flow of depletion, so the entire course is marked by depletion. The final transmission points to the禄神 of Ren water, but it is attacked by Tian Kong and Gou Chen, two earth-type heavenly generals, and also combines with the卯 wood in the day branch to steal and deplete the day stem. Moreover, during daytime divination, the nobleman is also seated on kongwang, so even if he reports, it is of no use.
The interpretation states: The beginning and the origin, the matter has just laid its foundation. The initiating transmission deity falls into the void of the ten-day cycle, so whatever is divined does not materialize. Either loss of wealth due to the wife, or loss due to children. The matching aspect falls empty, while the conflicting aspect turns out true. Good things depart, while bad things remain.
The heavenly stem of water has its mother god fallen vacant, and the Tiangang points to the position of Wei, indicating wind but no rain. The family dwelling shows the person fallen vacant and the house injured; even with a nobleman present, it brings no benefit. For official positions, the official star does not appear, the nobleman is vacant, and the禄神 is attacked, indicating an unfavorable omen for official matters. Seeking wealth, since the wealth star is vacant, there will be no gain. For marriage, the male partner is vacant and the female partner carries a punishment, making it unfavorable for either party. For childbirth, the child star is vacant and the mother carries a punishment, making both pregnancy and childbirth dangerous. For illness, the person is weak but the disease is strong; the only hope lies in the final transmission having a saving god. For travel, both water and land routes should be cautious of injury. For a traveler, since the post-horse is vacant, the person will not arrive. For military action, it is favorable during the day but unfavorable at night.
The *Bifa Fu* says: Expenditure exceeds income, yet the gain is insufficient; after hardship comes joy, but within the joy there is sorrow. Ancient divination records state: In the Jiyou year, second month, with Xu as the month general added to the Chou hour, a divination was made about a child's illness. The interpretation said: The first transmission is Si fire, the final transmission is Hai water, indicating fever above and cold below. The middle transmission is Yin wood, indicating wind rushing and colliding. Si fire injures the lung metal, and also indicates obstruction below. This is because consuming cold and raw food injured the lung metal, resulting in obstruction below and shortness of breath above. Shen metal should normally generate Ren water, but due to the旬空 (decade void), it is called "seeing generation but not generating." The number of Shen is seven, and the number of Hai is four; their product is twenty-eight, so it is feared that the illness will not last beyond twenty-eight days. Later, all the predictions came true.
On the Renwu day, fifth arrangement: the stem is on the hexagram of Wei.
This lesson has four patterns: Re-examination, Six Instruments, Ascending Fire, and Cultivating Virtue. The rhyme says: the three transmissions and the day stem and day branch intersect and combine with each other; they also gradually steal and drain from each other; the wealth star has transformed into the official ghost; this transformation is extremely凶, and it cannot be stopped.
Yin and Hai combine, Wu and Wei combine, Mao and Xu combine; the three transmissions pair up to form combinations. The middle transmission also combines with the day stem, which is called mutual transmission combination. Yin wood steals and drains the day stem, Wei earth steals and drains the day branch, the first transmission steals and drains the day branch, and the final transmission steals and drains the day stem; this is called mutual draining. The three transmissions form the Yin-Wu-Xu fire trinity. Originally, this should be the wealth star for a Ren water day stem, but it instead nourishes the Wei earth on the day stem. The Wei earth then turns back to restrain the day stem, so the wealth has turned into official ghost. The official ghost produced is extremely凶 and hard to stop, so it is said that the凶 has turned into something difficult to restrain.
The interpretation states: After re-examining, it forms a pattern of fire ascending, indicating matters that areretrograde (reverse movement). The affairs are mostly related to documents or occupations involving furnaces and smelting. There are both gatherings and separations, joy and anger; the lesson is named "Closed Mouth," suggesting that silence is appropriate at this time. Also, because it involves mutual separation and connection, there is deceit within, resembling the image of a knife hidden in a smile.
The heavens show a fire trinity formed by the three transmissions of Yin, Wu, and Xu, with fire generating earth and earth returning to overcome water. The Tiangang points to the yang position, indicating clear skies and no rain. The family residence benefits from the mutual generation between the day stem and day branch, showing prosperity in people and property, a sign of mutual nourishment. In terms of official rank, wealth can generate officials, so obtaining official position is certain. However, seeking wealth results in wealth transforming into officials and ghosts, making it unlikely to obtain. Marriage shows mutual harmony, ensuring a union of the kind between families; yet there is mutual conflict between yin and yang, so injuries are unavoidable. Childbirth is delayed due to the three transmissions encountering triple harmony, causing obstruction. Illness is indicated by the illness overcoming the person, with triple harmony and Liu He complicating the situation, making recovery difficult. Travel is hindered by repeated harmonies and the absence of the post-horse, making departure difficult. A traveler is delayed due to attachments, unable to return immediately. In military matters, the day general belongs to earth and harms the stem, so it is better to act at night rather than during the day.
The "Bifa Fu" says: All things bring joy when there is triple harmony and six harmonies; however, if harmony is mixed withInauspicious Sha, it is like sweet honey mixed with arsenic; when the heavenly stem and earthly branch cross and harmonize, it is favorable for trade and commerce. The "Ke Jing" says: In the month of winter, with Chou as the month general added to the time of Si, if the day stem and day branch are strong and meet triple harmony and six harmonies, the transaction is harmonious and mutually beneficial, which is called "Hemei Ke," most suitable for trade and seeking wealth; the master is harmonious and joyful, with no obstacles, and there is help from others. Even if there are ghosts and killers, they cannot prevent it.
On the Renwu day, sixth arrangement: the stem is in the morning.
This lesson has three patterns: Re-examination and Incompleteness, and "赘婿" (a son-in-law). The day stem is attacked by the day branch's heavenly stem, like a man entering a woman's family as a son-in-law, depending on others. The rhyme says: the day stem's wealth star comes to it itself, but at night it is accompanied by the Black Tortoise, falls into Kongwang and is lost. Carefully examine the connection between these, if asking about elders, it is not auspicious.
The fire of the hour branch is the wealth star for the day stem, and it is now affecting the day stem directly. At night, it is riding on the Black Tortoise, which inevitably leads to emptiness and loss. Now looking more closely at the final transmission, which is the metal of the monkey, this is the place of growth for the water day stem, like a parent. During the day it rides on the Black Tortoise, and at night it rides on the White Tiger. The initial transmission of the fire of the horse comes to overcome it, and the middle transmission of the earth ox takes it into the storage place. Moreover, the self is in an empty and fallen position. Using such a divination to predict matters concerning elders, how can it be considered auspicious?
The interpretation states: the lesson pattern is incomplete, and the matter is not fully covered. The first transmission is the fire of午, which is below and is overcome by亥 water, and above and is overcome by the Black Tortoise and Heavenly Empress, called '夹克', which indicates that wealth is not under one's control. Although not under one's control, it cannot be pushed away, and one cannot get rid of it, because the four lessons cannot be separated from the three transmissions, and the three transmissions cannot go beyond the four lessons. The day branch is added to the day stem and is also overcome, forming a lesson of the赘婿, indicating matters involving land, property, and houses.
The heavenly stem of the day is in a position where the mother of water has already been lost, and is further weakened by the fire of the hour and the earth of the hour which has stored it away. It is feared that rain will not come. The home is affected by Gou Chen and Vermilion Bird which steal the energy of the house, and also conflicts with the day stem. There is often conflict and disputes. For official positions, the star of authority is present over the house, and for those whose birth stem is卯, they may achieve success in official matters. For wealth, although wealth follows the person, it does not belong to them. For marriage, the day stem and day branch conflict, and both sides are unfavorable. For childbirth, the mother and child conflict, and the fire of the hour is further weakened by the fire of the hour, so the child is certain to not survive. For illness, the kidney energy is weak and may not be able to get up. For travel, going by land is dangerous and going by water is also risky. For a traveler, the post-horse has already been lost, so the journey is delayed. For military matters, both day and night are not favorable.
The "Bifa Fu" says: If the first transmission is caught between two, the matter is beyond one's control; mutual suspicion arises because of the six harmful influences accompanying it. The "Liu Ren Mi Yao" states: On the day of Ren or Gui, if the time of the day is at Shen and it is placed on Chou, the heavenly general during the night rides the White Tiger. This indicates that the parents' hexagram is riding the White Tiger and is seated in the storage place, meaning there must be termites in the parents' grave. If during the day the heavenly general rides the Black Tortoise, this signifies water has entered the storage, indicating that if the parents are still alive, they will be ill to the point of being unable to get out of bed.
On the Renwu day, seventh arrangement: stem on Si, dry branch on巳.
This lesson has five patterns: reverse chant; 'comparison usage' refers to knowing one, and when there are multiple instances of theft and control, choose the one with the same yin and yang as the day stem for initiating transmission; 'three intersections', where the spirits of the four central points interact and overlap, indicating matters of conflict, loss, and disputes; 'overcoming hardship', which requires first experiencing hardship before escaping it; and cultivating virtue. The rhyme says: three places of wealth stars are all harmed, two noblemen are both restrained; the strong spirit of the day is also riding on the white tiger, and neither left nor right can be relied upon.
The fire of Si in the day stem represents wealth, but it is harmed by the water of Hai. The two fires of Wu in the first and final transmissions are also harmed by the water of Zi. Altogether, three sources of wealth are all harmed. The nobleman at Mao is located in You, and the nobleman at Si is in Hai, both being harmed by the underlying spirits, indicating that both noblemen are being attacked. The water of Zi is the strong spirit for Ren day, and it is accompanied by the White Tiger in the daytime, as well as Yangren and Luo Wang. Therefore, there is no support on either side. On Renwu day, with Wu fire as the initiating transmission, it is certain to relate to a wife's pregnancy, and especially accurate if it occurs in the seventh month.
The interpretation states: This lesson pattern of reverse chant involves the south and north swapping positions, and the east and west exchanging places, indicating that matters often turn out in reverse. The person consulting the divination will surely feel much confusion; when encountering a凶 event, it turns into a吉 one, and when obtaining a joyful event, it leads to worry. It is not a fixed pattern, precisely reflecting the situation of losing a horse in the north and gaining one in the east, where gain and loss are unpredictable.
The weather is clear but rain is certain, and when it rains, the sky will certainly clear. The family's situation is unfavorable because the day stem and day branch are in mutual control, leading to discord between the upper and lower parts, making it hard to attract good fortune. In terms of official rank, the Azure Dragon and Tai Chang are not present along with the official star, and two noblemen are also affected by mutual control, indicating an unfavorable omen for official positions. Regarding wealth, there seems to be much wealth around, but there is mutual restriction between them, so none of it belongs to the person. In matters of marriage, the male is favorable during the day, but the female is entirely unfavorable. For pregnancy, the fetal energy is about to give way, and for childbirth, it indicates the birth of a male child. For illness, the water in the day branch is controlling the fire of the day stem, and the condition is very unfavorable during the day. For travel, the people who are coming want to go, and those who are going want to return, and the Ding spirit and the post-horse are not present, so there will be no real results. Although the traveler does not have the Ding horse, the person who is going will certainly return. For matters of escape, it is advisable to consult relatives and friends. In military affairs, there are unfavorable signs both day and night.
The "Bifa Fu" says: If two noblemen are both restrained, it is difficult to seek help from the nobleman through the day stem; the god that is restrained by the White Tiger is where the illness lies. The "Ke Jing" says: On a Renwu day, the day's virtue and fortune are both located at Hai. Si is the place where Ren water reaches its end, now Hai is placed on Si, resulting in the loss of virtue and the end of fortune, so all matters are not auspicious. It also says: When divining illness, one should look at the day stem's fortune god, which is the god providing food and supplies, and also look at the day stem's food god, which is the god transporting food and supplies; both should not be restrained or fall into emptiness; if it is a long-term illness, it will certainly end in starvation and death. The "Kuanang Fu" says: The Teng Snake at Si or Wu position indicates strange dreams. It also says: The Yuanwu riding Wu indicates a change in position.
