"Juan" is the same as "jue," referring to the curved light around the moon, resembling a jade jue. The light that bends outward toward the moon is called "back," while the light that curves inward and embraces the moon is called "bao." The esoteric text *He Tu Di Lan Xi* says: The moon does not produce a halo, but instead generates four "juan" auras, indicating that ministers have secret plots, but these plots will not succeed. Jing Fang's *Yi Zhuan* says: When the moon produces a "back" aura, there will be rebels in the region corresponding to that area. Liu Xiang's *Hongfan Zhuan* says: When the moon produces a "back" aura, it signifies that ministers intend to engage in improper actions; if this aura is blue on the inside and red on the outside, with sharp points, it indicates there is a plot; if it occurs repeatedly, the state will face danger. There is both an outward "back" aura and an inward "bao" aura, which is a sign of discord between ruler and minister, with some ministers wanting to be loyal and others wanting to rebel.

The *He Tu Di Lan Xi* says: When the moon and the water star meet in the same star, the country will lose its territory and the king will die. The *Jingzhou Divination* says: When the moon and the water star combine, the country corresponding to the star will have military conflicts.

The following is the original commentary: According to Liu Xiang's *Hongfan Wuxing Zhuan Lun*, in the first month of Dijie year of Emperor Xuandi of Han, on the night of the fifth day of the fifth month, the moon covered Mars between the constellations Guo Xu and Kang Xu. The constellation Kang Xu governs the court, so the calamity occurs within the palace, not from external enemies but from internal conspirators, indicating internal strife and the presence of slanderous ministers. Later, the wife of the great general Huo Guang and her son, brother, and various sons-in-law who held positions such as Attendant and various officials, along with officials of the rank of the Nine Ministers and governors, conspired against the state and were executed. In the twelfth year of Taoyuan of the Eastern Jin Dynasty, in the second month on the fifth day of the fifth month, Mars entered the moon, and the divination said there would be rebellious ministers, a minister who should be executed, or someone who would be put to death; another interpretation said that the maternal relatives of the emperor would be in power. At that time, Wang Wang was in charge of government affairs, and his wife's younger brother Wang Guobao was favored due to his marital connection. Also, Yuan Yue of Chenjun was fawning and seeking promotion, colluding with the emperor and the prime minister, inciting factions. In the thirteenth year of Taoyuan, Yuan Yue was executed; at that time, there was already a rift between the emperor and the prime minister, and the chaos originated from this.

《海中占》曰：“熒惑入月中，臣以戰不勝，內臣死。”《荊州占》曰：“火星入月中，臣賊其主。”《黃帝占》曰：“熒惑蝕月，讒臣貴，後宮有害女主者。”《海中占》曰：“熒惑入月中，及近月七寸之內，主人惡之；一曰讒臣在傍，主用邪。”巫咸曰：“熒惑居河若守之，月數其出間，百日兵多移。”巫咸曰：“熒惑犯月，戰，小吏死。”

Wu Xian says: If the Malefic of violence stays in the Milky Way or remains stationed there without moving, calculate its entry and exit according to the months; within one hundred days, there will be large-scale military movements. Wu Xian also says: If the Malefic of violence invades the moon, there will be warfare, and low-ranking officials will die in it.

The original commentary states: According to Liu Xiang's "Hong Fan Wu Xing Zhuan Lun," in the first year of Emperor Cheng of Han's Jian Shi era, in November, on the day of Yimao, the moon obscured the planet Saturn in the northwest part of the Ghost Mansion constellation, about eight or nine feet away, and the divination text predicted that there would be starving people fleeing for a thousand li. Fifteen years later, the people suffered from famine and left for food beyond the Hangu Pass.

《荊州占》曰：“月犯填星，其國貴人兵死，天下亂；一曰主死，先舉事者敗；若天下有大風。”巫咸曰：“月犯填星，女主敗。”（按魏青龍二年十月乙丑月犯填星。三年丙寅正月太后郭氏無疾乃忽崩。）

The *Jingzhou Divination* says: When the moon invades the planet of filling, the nobleman of that country dies in military calamity, and chaos arises throughout the world; another interpretation is that the king dies, and the party that initiates the conflict suffers defeat; or there will be a great wind across the land. Wu Xian says: When the moon invades the planet of filling, the female ruler will perish. The original commentary notes: In the second year of Qinglong in Cao Wei, in the tenth month, on the day of Yichou, the moon invaded the planet of filling; in the first month of the third year, on the day of Bingyin, Empress Dowager Guo died suddenly without having been ill.

The same text also says: When the moon eclipses the planet Tianxing, the female ruler will die, and the country will perish either through invasion or through massacre. Sima Qian's "Records of the Grand Historian: Book of Celestial Officials" says: When the moon eclipses the planet Tianxing, the female ruler will die, and the country will perish either through invasion or through massacre. Sima Qian's "Book of Celestial Officials" also says: When the moon eclipses the planet Tianxing, the region corresponding to the constellation where the eclipse occurs will have subordinates offending their superiors. Ban Gu's "Book of Han: Records of Astronomy" says: When the moon eclipses the planet Tianxing, the people will flee a thousand li away. The "Jingzhou Divination" says: When the moon eclipses the planet Tianxing, women within the country will cause rebellion.

The Wu Xian Divination says: When a month is nearly over and only three days remain, observe the bright star appearing from the east and compare its distance with the moon. If the space between them can accommodate the width of one finger, there will be a defeat of the army and death of the general in the eighth month, with the main side unable to win. If it can accommodate the width of two fingers, the event will occur in thirteen days, with the guest army not being defeated but the main side losing territory. If it can accommodate the width of three fingers, the event will occur in twenty days, with a defeat of the army and death of the general, and the main side losing territory. If it can accommodate the width of four fingers, the event will occur in eighty days, with the guest army suffering a great defeat. If it can accommodate the width of five fingers, the event will occur in thirty days, with the army being mobilized but no battle taking place.

巫咸曰：“入月三日，修太白與並準之，其間容一指，軍在外，期十日，有破軍，死將，客勝；容二指，期十五日，破軍，死將，王人勝；容三指，期十八日，有破軍，死將，客軍大勝，主人亡地；容四指，期二十五日，客軍入境，主人不勝；容五指，期三十日，軍陣不戰。”

Wu Xian said: During the first three days of the month, carefully observe the star Tai Bai, and compare its distance with the moon. Here, the terms "inch" and "chi" do not refer to terrestrial measurements, but rather to the apparent distance between the two celestial bodies as observed in the sky. The narrower the interval, the more urgent the threat, and the more significant the omen. The *Ximeng Divination* says: When Tai Bai and the moon are three inches apart, the emperor will dismiss his prime minister. The *Wuxian Divination* says: When Tai Bai and the moon are five inches apart, the whole country will be anxious about military affairs; if they are five chi apart, they will be far apart and cause no harm.

If Tai Bai crosses the moon and deviates from its path, and there is one day remaining at the end of the month, then war should be initiated in the following year's second month (the original text says "second day," but according to the example in the next passage, it should be "second month"). If there are two days remaining, war should be initiated in the third month; three days remaining, in the fourth month; four days remaining, in the fifth month; five days remaining, in the sixth month; six days remaining, in the seventh month; seven days remaining, in the eighth month; eight days remaining, in the ninth month, and war should be initiated then. "Jingzhou Divination" also says: When Tai Bai is about to disappear in the west, if it is low in position, it indicates an abnormal course. The esoteric text He Tu Di Lan Xi says: When Tai Bai enters the moon, the general will be executed and die; another interpretation is that a minister plots against the sovereign but fails; these events will come to pass within three years; it also says there will certainly be internal warfare, failure in battle, and loss of territory. The Hai Zhong Zhan says: When Tai Bai enters the moon, there will be killings; within nine years, the country will be destroyed by military disaster. Xi Meng says: When Tai Bai enters the moon, the country loses its authority, the person in the great position rises in rebellion, the time of occurrence is three years; another interpretation is that the person in the great position bears the calamity. Zhongjiao Zhan says: When Tai Bai enters the moon, if the country does not send out troops, the great general will bear the calamity and die from military disaster, the time of occurrence is forty days; if the army has already been sent out, the general of the main side will die.

The "Xi Meng Divination" says: The side from the west that first launches an attack should be judged by the distance between the bright star and the moon: if they are three feet apart, the army will be in urgent danger; if they are two feet apart, the city will be in urgent danger; if they are one foot apart, a city will be captured. The "Xi Meng Divination" also says: If the moon invades the bright star, the generals will be disloyal; if the bright star is above the moon like a crown, there will be sudden military disasters.

In the first year of Jingchou, Gongsun Yuan rebelled; in the third year of Jingchou, in the first month, Sima Yi was sent to attack him, and at the same time, the emperor Wei Mingdi died. The "Jingzhou Divination" says: When the moon invades Tai Bai, rebellious princes will die; it also says that a general has two hearts; it also says that Tai Bai and the moon mutually invade, indicating many bandits in the country. The "Heavenly Map: The Emperor's Enjoyment of the River Chart" says: When Tai Bai and the moon are in mutual invasion, the predicted time will not exceed three years, the country will be in great danger, fail in battle, and lose territory; if the country is destroyed by a woman, the predicted time will not exceed six years.

"Jingzhou Divination" says: When the moon covers the bright star, the common people will scatter and flee. The following is the annotation from the original text: On the night of the Bingxu day in the tenth month of the third year of Xingning of the Eastern Jin Dynasty, the moon covered the bright star, located in the Girl Mansion. The divination says that the people throughout the land will scatter and flee.

郗萌曰：“太白蝕月，易大將，刑死。”《海中占》曰：“太白居月中無光，名日月蝕太白，臣殺其至勝，皆其三年。”（崔鴻《春秋燕錄》曰：“正始三年秋八月太白入月中，冬十月戊辰，雲臨東堂，倖臣雜班姚仁懷劍執袋而入，稱有所啟。劍擊雲，雲以反拒仁，仁進而殺。）

The following is a note from the original text: Cui Hong's "Spring and Autumn of the Sixteen Kingdoms · Yan Records" states that in the third year of Zhengshi, in the eighth month of autumn, Tai Bai entered the moon; in the tenth month of winter, on the day of Wu Chen, Murong Yun came to the eastern hall, and his favored minister Zao Ren concealed a sword in his bosom and carried a bag in his hand, claiming to have an urgent matter to report, then drew his sword and attacked Murong Yun. Murong Yun turned his hand to block Zao Ren, and Zao Ren advanced and killed Murong Yun.

The original commentary notes: Sun Sheng's "Jinyang Spring and Autumn" records that in the thirteenth year of Taoyuan, the eleventh month on theWuzi day, the planet Jupiter was in the area corresponding to the state of Jin in the eighth month. Later, the river flooded the Stone City, there were great floods in spring, heavy snow in winter, cattle and horses died, and grain prices soared, all coming true within a hundred days.

The esoteric text *He Tu Di Lan Xi* says: When the Moon covers the Chen Star, the country will suffer internal disorder caused by women and eventually perish, or it will face floods and famine, and this will occur within three years; it also says that if warfare has not yet begun but famine occurs first, the country that corresponds to this will fail in its military campaigns. Jing Fang's *Yi Transmission* says: When the Moon covers the Chen Star, the country will experience warfare caused by women. The *Xi Meng Divination* says: When the Chen Star covers the Moon, it indicates a great flood.

郗萌曰：“月宿東壁、營室、奎、婁胃，皆主水。為此星雨者，則沖月雨水甚，則水甚雨澤，入地一寸。至其報月，立水七寸，其潢流，絕車轍，溪谷溢。”又占曰：“月宿觜、參、井、鬼柳，皆主旱，以此星雨者，則沖月旱，雨甚者大旱，雨微者小旱。”《帝覽嬉》曰：“月犯列宿，其國有憂。”又曰：“列星貫月，陰國可伐也，期不出五年，其國受兵，不出十年中，國有內亂，大危。”

In the Eastern Han dynasty, the diviner Xi Meng said: When the moon is near the eastern mansion stars, namely the stars of the walls, the rooms, the belt, the granary, and the stomach, they all indicate water. If it rains in these star mansions, then the month that is opposite to them will have particularly heavy rain, with great water power, and the rainwater will seep into the ground by an inch. By the time of the verification month, the accumulated water will rise to seven inches, causing floods that will cut through the wheels of carts, and overflowing streams and valleys. Xi Meng also said: When the moon is near the stars of the mouth, the general, the well, the ghost, the willow, these all indicate drought. If it rains in these star mansions, then the month opposite to them will be dry. Heavy rain will cause great drought, while light rain will cause minor drought. The apocryphal book "The Yellow River Chart: The Emperor's Tour of the Celestial Regions" says: When the moon invades the stars of the twenty-eight mansions, the country corresponding to that mansion will have troubles. It also says: When the stars are aligned with the moon, the country of the Yin can be attacked. The predicted time will not be more than five years, and the country will suffer from military disaster; within ten years, there will be internal disorder, and the country will be in great peril.

甘氏曰：“月蝕列宿，其國憂、星滅，天下有亡，國星復見，亡國復立，兵起大勝。”《高宗占》曰：“星入月中，將有大兵。”《海中占》曰：“星入月中，其國君有憂；一曰不出三年，臣勝其主。”京房《易傳》曰：“星入月中，大臣謀伐其主，主令不行。”《荊州占》曰：“星入月中，其國有喪；又曰有破軍。”又占曰：“月未中而星入之，有賊人為攻者，在東方，文者長，武者亡；月過中而星入之，有賊人為者，在西方，武者長，文者亡。”

The "High Ancestral Divination" says: When a star enters the moon's disk, there will be large-scale military actions. The "Sea Divination" says: When a star enters the moon's disk, the ruler of that country will have worries; another interpretation says that within three years, the ministers will surpass the ruler. Jing Fang's "Commentary on the Changes" says: When a star enters the moon's disk, the ministers will plot to attack the ruler, and the ruler's commands will not be carried out. The "Jingzhou Divination" says: When a star enters the moon's disk, there will be mourning in that country; it also says that the army will be defeated. Another divination says: If the star enters the moon's disk before the moon has reached the zenith, there will be rebels starting a rebellion, the direction will be the east, and the officials will gain power while the military officials will be defeated; if the star enters the moon's disk after the moon has passed the zenith, there will be rebels starting a rebellion, the direction will be the west, and the military officials will gain power while the officials will be defeated.

The "Jingzhou Divination" also says: when the moon covers the stars and the stars disappear, the country will be destroyed; if the stars reappear later, the country will be restored. Another divination says: when a star covers the moon, the prime minister of that country will die. Jing Fang's "Omen Divination" says: if there are stars within the moon's circle, there will be bandits in the country; the more stars, the more bandits. The "Jingzhou Divination" says: when the constellation stars are within the moon's circle and lose their light, the country will perish from famine.

The book "Sea Divination" says: If the moon invades the Angle mansion, the country will have worries. The apocryphal book "Yellow River Chart: The Emperor's Tour of the World" says: If the moon invades the Left Angle, the commander of the left army will die in battle, and this will occur within three years; if it invades the Right Angle, the commander of the right army will die in battle. The book "Jingzhou Divination" says: If the moon invades the Left Angle, a minister will be executed, there will be a great flood breaking dykes, and there will be a major case of criminal justice; if it invades the Right Angle, military affairs will arise. The book "Yellow River Chart: The Emperor's Tour of the World" also says: If the moon presses upon the Left Angle, the official in charge of law and punishment will be executed; if it presses upon the Right Angle, military affairs will arise. The book "Sea Divination" says: If the moon appears to the south of the Angle mansion, the country will have many cases of cruel punishment and wrongful imprisonment, and the governance of affairs will be arrogant and unrestrained.

Xi Meng says: When the moon covers the left horn, there will be drought; when it covers the right horn, there will be floods. Xi Meng also says: When the moon invades the left horn, the left general will die; another interpretation is that there will be warfare in the country. The original book's note says: In the seventh year of Cao Wei's Zhengshi period, seventh month, on Dingchou, the moon invaded the left horn. The divination says that when the moon invades the left horn, there will be warfare in the country and the left general will die. In the first month of Jiayu year of Jiaping, Cao Shuang was executed. At that time, the Grand Tutor Wuyang Hou Sima Yi stationed his troops at the floating bridge over the Luo River, and this prediction was fulfilled after two years and seven months. In the second year of Xianxi, the闰month, on Gengzi, the moon again invaded the left horn. By the tenth month of Taishi year four, the governor of Jingzhou reported that Wu sent General Shi Ji with three thousand troops to attack Yuxiang, and the right chancellor Wan Yu with fifteen thousand troops to attack Zhicheng. General Ding Feng (the source text says 'Ding Gaojian') and the Prince of Yiyang led various armies to advance on Shouchun. This is the fulfillment of the prediction of warfare.

郗萌曰：“月貫左角，三年，太子死。”又占曰：“月蝕角，大人憂，期三年；一曰有獄事，都尉死；一曰天下大凶。”《巫咸占》曰：“月蝕角，天子憂，牢獄空，用赦當之，期九十日。”《荊州占》曰：“月蝕角，三年更赦。”《河圖帝覽嬉》曰：“角星貫月，三年，國君死。”《郗萌占》曰：“左角角入月中，不出其年，強國有喪；右角入月中，其君死三年。”

Another divination says: When the moon covers the Angle mansion, the person in the highest position will have worries, and the time of this event is three years; another says there will be lawsuits, and the county commander will die; another says there will be great calamity throughout the country. The "Wu Xian Divination" says: When the moon covers the Angle mansion, the emperor will have worries, the prison will be emptied, and the calamity can be dispelled by issuing an amnesty decree, and the time of this event is ninety days. The "Jingzhou Divination" says: When the moon covers the Angle mansion, there will be a great amnesty within three years. The apocryphal text "He Tu Di Lan Xi" says: When the Angle star passes through the moon, the king will die within three years. The "Xi Meng Divination" says: When the Left Angle star enters the moon's disc, there will be mourning in a strong country within the same year; when the Right Angle star enters the moon's disc, the king will die within three years.

《河圖帝覽嬉》曰：“月犯亢，兵起，不出三年。”《黃帝占》曰：“月犯亢，將軍亡其鼓，其國將死。”《海中占》曰：“月犯亢，亡地，其國有憂。”《荊州占》曰：“月犯亢，朝臣有事。”

The book of纬书 "The Yellow River Chart: The Emperor's Enjoyment" says: When the moon invades the mansion of Kangle, military affairs will arise, and this will happen within three years. The mansion of Kangle consists of four stars, and it shares the same territory as the mansion of Jiao, both belonging to the region of Zheng. These mansions govern the imperial court and ancestral temples. The "Yellow Emperor's Divination" says: When the moon invades the mansion of Kangle, the general will lose his war drum, and the generals of that country will die. The "Divination of the Sea" says: When the moon invades the mansion of Kangle, land will be lost, and that country will suffer calamity. The "Divination of Jingzhou" says: When the moon invades the mansion of Kangle, the ministers of the court will have accidents.

郗萌曰：“月乘亢，左星，為水，右星為大兵。”（案魏正始九年正月辛亥，月犯亢南昌，占曰：“兵起，一曰將軍死。”到嘉平元年正月，廢大將軍曹爽等，十六日誅爽時，太傅動兵浮橋，積一年，魏喜平三年五月甲寅，月犯亢距星，到七月太尉王凌誅。到四年三月鎮將軍諸葛恪上言：賊朱異蟻聚，即誅，截死者三萬餘人，積十一月始應。）

The following is the commentary from the original text: In the ninth year of the Zhengshi era of the Cao Wei dynasty, in the first month, on the day of Xinhai, the moon invaded the southern star of the Kangle mansion, and the divination text said that military affairs would arise. Another interpretation said that a general would die. In the first year of the Jiaping era, in the first month, the Grand General Cao Shuang and others were dismissed, and on the sixteenth day, Cao Shuang was executed. At that time, the Grand Tutor Sima Yi was engaged in military actions on the floating bridge over the Luo River, and the prophecy was fulfilled after a year. In the third year of Jiaping of the Wei dynasty, in the fifth month on the day of Jiayin, the moon invaded the standard star of the Kangle mansion (a star used to measure the longitude within a mansion). By the seventh month, the Grand Minister Wang Ling was executed. In the third month of the fourth year of Jiaping, the Commander of the Eastern Expedition, Zhuge Ke, reported that the enemy general Zhu Yi was gathering like an ant hill, and was soon defeated and executed, with over thirty thousand killed or drowned. The prophecy was fulfilled after eleven months.

韓楊曰：“月入氐，天下兵起。”《河圖帝覽嬉》曰：“犯氐，其國有軍將死；一曰將當之。”《荊州占》曰：“月犯氐，其國有軍，一曰其國有憂。”《海中占》曰：“月犯氐左星，郎中右將誅死；皆期三年。”《荊州占》曰：“月乘氐右星，天下有大兵，天子自將，兵天野。”（按魏嘉平三年四月戊子，月犯氐東北星，占曰：“將軍死。”五年二月癸丑，後將軍兗州刺史黃華薨。）《海中占》曰：“月蝕氐，氐星翳，一將死之，國有誅者。”

Di is the mansion where the Son of Heaven rests. The esoteric text "The Yellow River Chart: The Emperor's Enjoyment of the River" says: When the moon invades the mansion of Di, there will be the death of a general in that country; another interpretation says that the general will bear this calamity. The "Jingzhou Divination" says: When the moon invades the mansion of Di, there will be military conflicts in that country; another interpretation says that there will be calamity in that country. The "Sea Divination" says: When the moon covers the star on the left side of the mansion of Di, the attendants and the right general will be executed and die; the prediction should be fulfilled within three years. The "Jingzhou Divination" says: When the moon covers the star on the right side of the mansion of Di, there will be large-scale military conflicts throughout the country, and the Son of Heaven will personally lead the army, stationing troops in the outskirts. The original commentary says: In the third year of Jia Ping in the Cao Wei dynasty, in the fourth month, on the fifth day of the fifth month, the moon invaded the star in the northeast of the mansion of Di, and the divination said that a general would die. In the fifth year of Jia Ping, in the second month, on the tenth day of the second month, the rear general and governor of Yanzhou, Huang Hua, died. The "Sea Divination" says: When the moon obscures the mansion of Di, the star of Di is covered, indicating that a general will die and someone in the country will be executed.

《帝覽嬉》曰：“月行中道，是謂安寧，天下和平，舉兵不吉；欲被其刑，逆天之道，辱以無名。”又曰：“月宿天廄中央，一軍罷歸，期不過三十日。”《郗萌占》曰：“月當天門、駟之間，五穀大得，人主益壽。”《河圖帝覽嬉》曰：“月行陽環，多少暴事；”又曰：“月宿天廄左間，將軍論老弱分，歸期不過三十日。”又曰：“月行陽，裹治驕恣；多暴獄及驚駭，內亂。”

The apocryphal text "Heavenly Map of the Emperor's View" says: When the moon travels along the middle path of the Room Mansion, this is called "peaceful and tranquil," and the world will be in peace; at this time, it is not auspicious to launch an army, and if one insists on doing so, it will result in punishment, which is against the way of heaven, and will lead to disgrace due to an unjust cause. It also says: When the moon is located in the center of the Heavenly Stable—the four stars of the Room Mansion are also called Heavenly Steed and Heavenly Stable—it will be a time when a military force will disband and return, and this will happen within no more than thirty days. The text "Xi Meng's Divination" says: When the moon is directly between the Heavenly Gate and the Heavenly Steed, there will be a great harvest of grain and the ruler will live long. "Heavenly Map of the Emperor's View" also says: When the moon travels along the Yang Circle, there will be many instances of cruelty. It also says: When the moon is located in the left part of the Heavenly Stable, the general will decide on the criteria for dismissing the elderly and weak, and the return period will not exceed thirty days. It also says: When the moon travels within the Yang Path (the original text "guo" is likely a homonym for "li," meaning "within"), there will be excessive arrogance and indulgence in governance, leading to many cases of cruelty and disturbances, and internal rebellion will occur.

又曰：“月行四表之南，陽人且錯，禍不可克。”又曰：“冬三月，月出房南，近小旱，遠大旱，期在沖；去房三尺曰近，五尺曰近。”《郗萌占》曰：“月宿房南，粟不美，稻不實。”又曰：“正月十九日，候月出房南，有兵，女主喪。”《荊州占》曰：“月出四表以南，人君有憂。”《河圖帝覽嬉》曰：“月行大陽，天下亂，人民啼哭，及天下大荒，禍不可禁，天下有兩心。”

It also says: During the three winter months, when the moon rises south of the Room Mansion, if it is close, there will be minor drought; if it is far, there will be major drought; the occurrence will be in the month that opposes it; being three feet away from the Room Mansion is called close, and five feet away is also called close (the source text uses 'close' in both instances, and the latter 'close' may be a mistake for 'far'). The Xi Meng Divination says: When the moon is near the Room Mansion to the south, millet will not grow well, and rice will not be fully ripe. It also says: Observing on the nineteenth day of the first lunar month, when the moon rises south of the Room Mansion, there will be military affairs, and the emperor's principal wife will die. The Jingzhou Divination says: When the moon travels south of the four boundaries, the ruler will have worries. The River Chart: The Imperial Observations says: When the moon travels along the path of the Star of Brightness and Prestige, the world will be in turmoil, people will weep, the world will be in great famine, calamities will be uncontrollable, and people will have two hearts.

又曰：“月行陰間，多陰事，小起。”又曰：“月宿天廄右間，將軍伐，期不過三十日。”郗萌曰：“月出陽間，黍稷不為，菽美。”《河圖帝覽嬉》曰：“月行陰裡，權衡不得，後革時作，邊境不休。”又曰：“月行四表之北，陰人將革，禍不可克。”又曰：“冬三月，月出房北，近小水，遠大水，期在沖。”郗萌曰：“月行四表之北，水旱不時，民皆流食。”《荊州占》曰：“月行房北，帝有亂臣。”《河圖帝覽嬉》曰：“月行太陰，天下兵悉起，及內淫、流食。”《荊州占》曰：“月行太陰，民流亡。”

The Yellow River Chart: The Emperor's Joyful View says: When the moon moves in the dark region, the balance is lost, the empress frequently changes, and border wars never cease. It also says: When the moon moves north of the four extremes, those who belong to the northern, dark region will have disturbances, and the calamities cannot be controlled. It also says: During the three winter months, when the moon rises from the north of the Room Mansion, small water bodies nearby and large ones far away will have occurrences in the month opposite to the one they appear in. Xi Meng says: When the moon moves north of the four extremes, drought and flood occur at the wrong times, and the people will all have to wander and beg for food. The Jingzhou Divination says: When the moon moves north of the Room Mansion, there are disorderly ministers around the emperor. The Yellow River Chart: The Emperor's Joyful View says: When the moon moves along the path of the Wealth Star and Mother Star, there will be widespread military conflicts throughout the country, as well as internal corruption and people wandering for food. The Jingzhou Divination says: When the moon moves along the path of the Wealth Star and Mother Star, the people scatter and flee.

《河圖帝覽嬉》曰：‘月犯房星，四足之蟲多死，期不出一年。”《海中占》曰：“房上第一星上相，次星次相，下第一星上將，次星次將也。”（按晉成康二年正月辛亥，月犯房南第二星，占曰：“將相有憂。”五年七月丞相王導，八月太尉郗鑑，六年正月徵西大將軍庚亮並薨也。）

Another text, "Sea Divination," says: The Room Mansion, from top to bottom, the first star is the Upper Minister, the second star is the Deputy Minister, the first star below is the Upper General, and the star above that is the Deputy General. The original commentary notes: In the second year of Emperor Cheng of the Eastern Jin Dynasty, the first month, on the Xinhai day, the moon invaded the second star of the southern part of the Room Mansion, and the divination said that ministers would have worries. In the fifth year of the same era, in the seventh month, the Chancellor Wang Dao died; in the eighth month, the Grand Minister Xi Jian died; in the sixth year, in the first month, the Grand General Yu Liang also died.

《荊州占》曰：“月犯房，為死亡，近之為辱將相，期三年。”（按：魏景初元年二月乙酉，月犯房第二星；房四星；股肱臣將相位也；占曰：“將相有憂，若死亡。”到十二月，司空陳群薨，到三年七月，司徒陳驕薨。積一年六月。）《黃帝占》曰：“月犯上將，上將誅；犯次將，次將誅；犯次相，次相誅；犯上相，上相誅。”《河圖帝覽嬉》曰：“月犯房心，天下有殃，主有憂。”

The Room Mansion has four stars, which represent the ministers and generals; the divination text says that the generals and ministers will be troubled, or there will be death. In the twelfth month of that year, the Grand Minister Chen Qun died; in the seventh month of Jingchou Year Three, the Grand Minister Chen Jiao died. In total, this spanned one and a half years. The *Yellow Emperor's Divination* says: When the moon invades the General Star, the general will be executed; when it invades the second General Star, the second general will be executed; when it invades the Deputy Minister Star, the deputy minister will be executed; when it invade the Chief Minister Star, the chief minister will be executed. The *Yellow River Chart: The Emperor's Enjoyment* says: When the moon invades the Room Mansion and the Heart Mansion, there will be calamity in the country, and the ruler will be troubled.

《郗萌占》曰：“月犯房，有亂臣，期不出三年，臣伐其主，天下有亡國。”陳卓曰：“月犯房，有兵；又曰天下有殃，主憂。”郗萌曰：“月乘房，滅左右官，為有誅；伏甲者陳兵在宗廟中，天子不可出宮、下堂，又曰多暴事。”《河圖帝覽嬉》曰：“月行房心間，其旁有紅雲一，諸侯一王死。”郗萌曰：“月乘鉤鈐，大人憂火令。”《荊州占》曰：“月有中犯陵房星者，國君憂；色青憂喪；赤憂積尸成山；黑有將相誅；白芒角大哭。”郗萌曰：“月有中犯乘守房左驂，左服皆有夫人死，所中相誅。”

The minister will attack his sovereign, and the country will suffer from the loss of a state. Chen Zhuo, a Western Jin astronomer, said: When the moon invades the Room Mansion, there will be military affairs; he also said that the country will suffer from calamity and the sovereign will have worries. Xi Meng said: When the moon presses upon the Room Mansion, the officials' stars on both sides are obscured, indicating that someone will be executed; there are hidden soldiers in the ancestral temple with troops arranged, the Son of Heaven cannot leave the palace or descend from the hall; he also said that there will be many acts of cruelty. The "Yellow River Chart: The Emperor's View of the World" says: When the moon travels between the Room Mansion and the Heart Mansion, and a red cloud appears beside it, a prince will die. Xi Meng said: When the moon presses upon the Hook and Bell Star, the person in power should worry about fire-related affairs. The "Jingzhou Divination" says: When the moon is directly in the middle and invades or presses upon the Room Mansion star, the sovereign will have worries; if the moonlight is bluish, the worry is about mourning; if it is reddish, the worry is about accumulated corpses; if it is black, there will be the execution of ministers; if it is white with a sharp edge, there will be great weeping. Xi Meng said: When the moon is directly in the middle and invades, presses upon, or stays at the left骖 star and left服 star of the Room Mansion, it indicates the death of the consort, and the one being attacked will be executed.

又曰：“月犯鉤鈐，大臣有誤天子，不尊事天者，致火災於宗廟，天子崩，王者不宜出宮、下殿，有謀匿於宗廟中者；一曰犯鉤鈐駟，馬，駕將有行。”（按魏正始六年十二己巳月犯鉤鈐，占曰：王者憂，一曰有火災。到七年二月，熒乘黃廄，署屋延燒。又魏青龍三年十二月戊辰，月犯鉤鈐，王者憂，到景初二年十二月，明帝崩。積三年十一月。又案魏正始六年十二月己巳，月犯鉤鈐；占曰五星犯鉤鈐，皆主王者憂，一曰有火災。到七年二月，熒乘黃廄，延燒西掖門，到嘉平二年七月壬戌，皇后甄氏崩。積三年七月應。又案魏時火犯鉤鈐，皆為後崩也。）郗萌曰：“月守房，皆為人君無道。”又曰：“皆為天下諸侯謀相吞，道不同；又曰皆為胡發兵。”

At this time, the ruler should not go out of the palace or descend from the throne, for there may be conspirators hiding in the ancestral temple. Another interpretation is that the moon invades the Hook and Bell star along with the Four Horses star, indicating that the royal carriage will be about to travel. The original commentary notes: In the twelfth month of the sixth year of the Zhengshi era of the Cao Wei dynasty, the moon invaded the Hook and Bell star, and the divination said that the ruler would have worries, or there would be a fire. In the second month of the seventh year, the Malefic of Violence pressed upon the Chénghuáng Jiu star, and official buildings and houses were successively burned. In the twelfth month of the third year of Qinglong, the moon invaded the Hook and Bell star, indicating that the ruler would have worries; in the twelfth month of Jingchu second year, the Wei Mingdi Emperor died, which was a span of three years and eleven months. Again, in the twelfth month of the sixth year of Zhengshi, the moon invaded the Hook and Bell star; the divination said that when the five stars invade the Hook and Bell star, it indicates the ruler will have worries, or there will be a fire. In the second month of the seventh year, the Malefic of Violence pressed upon the Chénghuáng Jiu star, and the fire spread to the western Yemmen gate; in the seventh month of the second year of Jiaping, the queen consort Zhen died, which was a span of three years and seven months, and the prediction was fulfilled. Again, during the Cao Wei period, when the Malefic of Violence invaded the Hook and Bell star, it always corresponded to the death of the queen. Xi Meng said: When the moon stays in the Room Mansion, meaning it remains in its position without moving, it indicates the ruler is unjust. It also indicates that the feudal lords will plot to conquer each other, each following their own path without harmony; it also indicates that the Hu people will raise an army.
