If Venus remains stationary, the general who is offended will be executed, and this will come to pass within two years. Xi Meng says: When Venus remains stationary in the He Gu, it indicates the outbreak of military affairs, and this will come to pass within sixty days.

石氏曰：“太白犯離珠，宮中有事；若有亂宮者，宮人有罪黜者。”巫咸曰：“太白犯離珠。有兵起，後宮凶，女主有憂。”

The Shi school says: When the planet Venus invades the position of the "Li zhu" (Fire pearl), which is located north of Xunü and represents the jewels and ornaments used by the female ruler, it indicates incidents occurring within the palace; or that there is disorder within the palace, and some palace attendants are punished and demoted. Wu Xian says: When Venus invades the position of the Li zhu, it indicates the outbreak of military conflicts, calamity befalling the inner court, and the female ruler will be troubled by worries.

《玄冥占》曰：“太白守匏瓜，人主誅邑族；若有兵；一曰王者以果賜諸侯。”《聖洽符》曰：“太白犯守匏瓜，天下有憂；若有遊兵，名果貴；一曰魚鹽貴，價十倍，不出其年。”

The *Xuanming Zhan* says: When the planet Venus halts at "Paojia" — Paojia consists of five stars located north of Li Zhu — it indicates that the ruler will punish the clans of the vassal states, or there will be military affairs; another interpretation suggests that the king will reward the vassals with precious fruits. The *Shengqia Fu* says: When Venus intrudes and halts at Paojia, it signifies that the world will face worries; or there will be scattered soldiers causing banditry, and the price of rare fruits will rise; another interpretation suggests that the prices of fish and salt will increase tenfold, but this prophecy did not come true in the same year.

《海中占》曰：“太白犯天津，關道絕不通，有兵起；若關吏憂。”《文曜鉤》曰：“太白入天津，兵起大亂，以其所近，四方中央，死而葬，易政立王。”齊伯曰：“太白守天津，兵起，有亡國，期一年，遠二年。”石氏曰：“太白有赤芒，而守天津三十日，關道不度，人主有憂，若諸侯。”

The Sea of Divination says: When the planet Venus encroaches upon "Tianjin"—which refers to nine stars spanning across the Milky Way, serving as a bridge for crossing rivers—it indicates that key passageways and roads will be cut off, leading to military calamities; or officials in charge of border crossings will face worries. The Wenyaogou says: When Venus enters Tianjin, it foretells large-scale military conflicts and chaos. According to the position of the nearby stars, whether they belong to the four directions or the center, one can determine where the disaster will occur, involving deaths and funerals, and changes in the ruling power and the establishment of a new ruler. Qi Bei says: When Venus remains stationary at Tianjin, it signifies the outbreak of military affairs, possibly leading to the downfall of a state, with the event occurring within a year, or up to two years if it is more distant. The Shi school says: When Venus appears with a red halo and remains at Tianjin for thirty days, it indicates that key passageways and river crossings will be blocked, the sovereign will have worries, or the issue will affect the feudal lords.

甘氏曰：“太白守螣蛇，天子前螣凶，奸臣有謀，前螣為害。”《玄冥占》曰：“太白守螣蛇，諸侯若先螣者；一曰以水為災，水物不成。”

The Gan school says: When the planet Venus stops at the position of 'Tengsha' — Tengsha consists of twenty-two stars located north of Yingshi, which is a divine snake capable of flying in water — it indicates that the position of Tengsha in front of the emperor's throne is ominous, and there are wicked ministers secretly plotting. The book Xuanming Zhuan says: When Venus stops at Tengsha, it signifies that among the feudal lords, there will be someone who starts a rebellion first; another interpretation is that a great flood will occur, and the things produced in water will not mature.

《帝覽嬉》：“太白入王良，人主以車為弊，馬多死，關津不通，國有憂。”石氏曰：“太白守王良，為兵。”《海中占》曰：“太白守王良，三十日，大將亡；一曰主將皆大亡，兵起，車騎行，期百八十日，遠一年。”郗萌曰：“太白守天馬，天子馬多死者。”齊伯曰：“太白犯守王良，天下有兵，諸侯相恐，強臣謀主，期不出年。”

The "Imperial Inspection of Joy" says: When the planet Venus enters "Wang Liang," which is located north of the constellation Kui, Wang Liang refers to five stars representing an ancient expert in driving chariots. This portends that the ruler will suffer damage from his chariot, many horses will die, border passes and river crossings will be blocked, and the state will face calamity. The Shi school says: When Venus stops at Wang Liang, it indicates military affairs. The "Divination in the Sea" says: When Venus remains at Wang Liang for thirty days, it signifies the death of a general; another interpretation says that both the ruler and generals will suffer great losses, military actions will arise, and chariots and cavalry will be deployed, with the fulfillment of this omen occurring within one hundred and eighty days, or possibly up to a year. Xi Meng says: When Venus stops at "Star of Movement," it indicates many horses of the Son of Heaven will die. Qi Bo says: When Venus intrudes and stops at Wang Liang, it indicates warfare across the land, the feudal lords will be alarmed, and ambitious ministers will plot against the ruler, with the fulfillment of this omen not exceeding one year.

巫咸曰：“太白犯守積水，其國有水災，水物不成，魚鹽貴；一曰以水為敗，糴大貴，人民飢，期二年。”

Wu Xian said: The planet Venus offends and halts at 'Accumulated Water' — Accumulated Water is a single star located in the northwest of the Northern River, indicating the storage of water for the use of sacrificial wine and liquor — it signifies that the country corresponding to its region will experience flooding, and the produce in the water will not mature, causing fish and salt to become expensive. Another interpretation is that failure occurs due to water, leading to a surge in grain prices and widespread famine, which will be fulfilled within a period of two years. The sequence number of the heading in this chapter directly goes from 'Thirty' to 'Forty-One', as in the original text, with nothing missing in between.

甘氏曰：“太白犯守積薪，天下大旱，五穀不登，人民飢亡。”

The Gan school says: The planet Venus offends and halts at the star 'Accumulated Firewood' — which is located east of the accumulation of water, used for cooking — indicating great drought across the land, poor harvests of grain, and people suffering from hunger and fleeing their homes.

甘氏曰：“太白犯守水位，天下以水為害，津關不通；一曰大水入城郭，傷人民，期不出二年。”

The Gan school says: The planet Venus offends and halts at the 'Water position' — the four stars of the Water position are east of the Well mansion, indicating governance related to water balance — signifying that the whole world will suffer from floods, with rivers and ferry crossings blocked; another interpretation is that floods will enter the city walls, harming the people, and the fulfillment of this omen will not take more than two years.

《荊州占》曰：“太白犯軒轅，女御；天子僕死。”《文曜鉤》曰：“太白入軒轅，四猾起。”石氏曰：“太白入軒轅中，犯乘之，有逆賊，若火災。”《黃帝占》曰：“太白出東陵，必有白龍出左右宮；若行軒轅中，犯女主，女主失勢，憂喪也；列大夫有放逐者，五官有不治者；色悴為憂，為疾，其所中犯乘守者誅，若有罪。”

The *Jingzhou Divination* says: When the planet Venus encroaches upon "Xuanyuan"—which consists of seventeen stars located north of the Seven Stars, forming the body of a yellow dragon, and representing the master of concubines, with the largest star being the female ruler, the empress—this indicates an event concerning the female attendants of the emperor; the death of an official in the emperor's personal service. The *Wenyao Gou* says: When Venus enters Xuanyuan, it signifies that wicked people from all directions will rise up in rebellion. The Shi school says: When Venus enters the center of Xuanyuan and encroaches upon or dominates its stars, there will be rebels or a fire. The *Yellow Emperor's Divination* says: When Venus appears from the "Eastern陵"—the eastern position of a tomb—it certainly indicates that white dragon qi will surge from the left and right palaces; if Venus passes through the center of Xuanyuan and confronts the star representing the female ruler, then the female ruler will lose her power, there will be sorrow and mourning; among the officials of the five ministries, some will be exiled, and those holding the five official positions will neglect their duties; if the color of Venus is withered and憔悴, it signifies worry and illness; the person corresponding to the star that is shot at, encroached upon, dominated, or halted by Venus will be executed or punished.

《荊州占》曰：“太白行軒轅端，貫出其中而東，大臣出令。”石氏曰：“太白在軒轅中，有以女請人君者。”《黃帝占》曰：“太白中女主，女主當之；其守犯女主，女主有憂。”（《宋書天又志》曰：魏青龍四年七月七日甲寅，太白犯軒轅大星，景初元年，皇后毛氏崩，晉成帝咸康六年六月七日，太白犯軒轅大星，七年三月皇后杜氏崩。安帝義熙六年八月壬午，太白犯軒轅大星，七年八月，皇后王氏崩。宋文帝元嘉十六年八月朔，日犯軒轅，明年皇后袁氏崩。）

The Shi school says: When Venus stops in the middle of Xuan Yuan, it indicates that someone will seek the ruler's favor through a woman. The Yellow Emperor's Divination states: When Venus shoots at the star of the female ruler, if it is verified, it will fall upon the female ruler; when Venus stops and offends the star of the female ruler, the female ruler will face worries. The original book's marginal note cites the "Song History · Astronomical Records" — the original text "Tian Yu Zhi" is a miswriting of "Tian Wen Zhi": In the fourth year of Wei Qinglong, seventh month seventh day, on the day Jiayin, Venus offended the great star of Xuan Yuan, and by the first year of Jingchou, the queen consort Mao died; in the sixth year of Jin Chengdi, sixth month seventh day, Venus offended the great star of Xuan Yuan, and in the third month of the next year, the queen consort Du died; in the sixth year of Jin An帝 Yixi, eighth month ninth day, Venus offended the great star of Xuan Yuan, and in the eighth month of the next year, the queen consort Wang died; in the sixteenth year of Wen帝 Yuanjia, eighth month first day, the Sun offended Xuan Yuan, and the next year the queen consort Yuan died.

《聖洽符》曰：“太白守軒轅，兵大起，憂宮中；若有女喪，各以其所犯占之，期一年。”《帝覽嬉》曰：“太白守軒轅大星，若環繞之，皇后有急，若憂誅；一曰天下易王，女主有殃。”《荊州占》曰：“太白守軒轅、女御有誅者。”巫咸曰：“太白行犯守軒轅，女主失政，若失勢；一曰大臣當之，若有黜者，期二年。”

The Di Lianxi says: When Venus stops at the Yellow Emperor's star or circles around it, it indicates the empress faces urgent difficulties or fear of being executed; another interpretation is that the throne will change hands, and female rulers will suffer. The Jingzhou Zhan says: When Venus stops at the Yellow Emperor's star, it indicates a female palace attendant will be executed. Wu Xian says: When Venus passes through, offends, and stops at the Yellow Emperor's star, it indicates that female rulers will lose their political power or lose their position; another interpretation is that it will affect ministers, or someone will be dismissed. This prediction is accurate within two years.

（司馬彪《天文志》曰：光武建武九年七月乙卯，金星犯軒轅大星，十月己丑，又犯之。軒轅者，後宮之官，大星者，後宮之皇后，金犯之，為失勢。是時郭后已失勢見踈，後廢為中山太后。孝和元年四月乙酉，金星犯軒轅東北二尺，四年，寶氏被誅，太后失勢。孝垣永壽二年八月戊午，太白犯軒轅大星，為皇后，後二年四月，懿獻後以憂死。）《荊州占》曰：“太白中犯，守軒轅左角，為大臣當之。”

The original book cites a note from Sima Biao's "Astronomical Annals," i.e., "Continued Han Annals · Astronomical Annals": In the seventh month of the ninth year of Jianwu of Emperor Guangwu of the Han Dynasty, on the Yi-Mao day, the planet Venus approached and disturbed the great star of Xuanyuan; on the tenth month of the same year, on the Ji-Chou day, it disturbed it again. Xuanyuan is the star representing the officials of the palace, and its great star is the empress. When Venus disturbs it, it indicates that the empress will lose power. At that time, the Empress Guo had already fallen out of favor and was distant, and later she was demoted to be the太后 of the Marquess of Zhongshan. In the first year of Emperor Hedi of the Han Dynasty, on the Yi-You day in the fourth month, Venus approached the two feet northeast of Xuanyuan. Four years later, the Dou clan was executed, and the太后 lost her power— the original text mistakenly wrote "Bao Shi" instead of "Dou Shi." In the second year of Yongshou of Emperor Huan of the Han Dynasty, in the eighth month on the Wu-Wu day, Venus disturbed the great star of Xuanyuan. This star represents the empress. Two years later, in the fourth month, the Empress Yi Xian died of grief and anger— the original text mistakenly wrote "Xiao Yuan" instead of "Xiao Huan." The "Jingzhou Divination" says: When Venus shoots, disturbs, and stops at the left horn of Xuanyuan, it indicates that the incident will affect a minister.

石氏曰：“太白入少微，君當求賢佐；不求賢佐，則失奪勢。太白犯守少微，名士有憂；王者任用小人，忠臣被害，有死者。”《黃帝占》曰：“太白入中犯乘少微，為宰相易，女主有憂。”石氏曰：“太白入中犯乘守少微，為五官亂，宰相憂。”

The Shi school says: When the planet Venus enters the constellation Shao Wei, which consists of four stars located west of the Taimei Enclosure, representing positions for reclusive scholars, advisors, and doctoral officials, it indicates that the ruler should seek out capable ministers. If the ruler refuses to seek virtuous talents, he will lose power and risk being deposed. When Venus intrudes upon and halts in Shao Wei, it signifies that renowned scholars will suffer misfortune; the king will appoint unworthy individuals, loyal ministers will be harmed, and some may even die as a result. The Yellow Emperor's Divination states: When Venus enters the center of Shao Wei and intrudes upon and overshadows its stars, it presages a change in the prime ministers and distress for the female sovereign. The Shi school says: When Venus enters the center of Shao Wei, intrudes upon, overshadows, and halts there, it indicates disorder among the five officials and misfortune for the prime minister.

《春秋緯》：“太白犯太微，主受期命奪號，滅沖為期。”（《宋書天文志》曰：晉熙帝建武元年六月丁卯，太白犯太微，占曰：王者惡之。七月熙帝崩於寇廷也。）《帝賢嬉》曰：太白行犯太微左右執法。為大臣有憂。”（司馬彪《天文志》曰：孝安元初元年閏月已未，太白犯太微左執法，建光元年五月，太后兄車騎將軍隲等七侯皆免官自殺。《宋書天文志》曰：晉成帝咸康四年九月，太白犯左執法。五年七月庚申，丞相王導薨。安帝義熙六年九月甲寅，太白犯左執法。八年九月，兗州刺史劉蕃，尚書僕射琨夥誅也。）

The original commentary cites the *Song Shu · Tianwen Zhi*: In the first year of Jianwu of the Jin Xí Emperor, June Dingmao, Venus approached Taiwei, and the prophecy indicated that it was something the ruler would detest. In the same year, July, the Jin Xí Emperor died in the enemy's court. "Jin Xí Emperor" is likely a mistake for "Hui Emperor." The *Dixian Xi*—that is, the previously cited *Dilang Xi*—says: When Venus travels through and approaches the left and right judicial stars of the Taiwei constellation, it indicates that ministers will face calamity. The original commentary cites Wang Shouzhi's *Tianwen Zhi*: In the first year of Yuanchu of Emperor Han An Di, on the day of Jiwei in the leap month, Venus approached the left judicial star of Taiwei. By the fifth year, in May of Jianguang, the uncle of the empress, the Grand General of the Carriage, Deng Zhi, and seven other officials of the rank of marquis were all dismissed from office and committed suicide. It also cites the *Song Shu · Tianwen Zhi*: In the fourth year of Xiankang of Emperor Jin Cheng Di, September, Venus approached the left judicial star of Taiwei. In the fifth year, July Gengshen, the chancellor Wang Dao died. In the sixth year of Yixi of Emperor Jin An Di, September Jia寅, Venus approached the left judicial star of Taiwei. By the eighth year, September, the governor of Yanzhou, Liu Fan, and the Minister of the Secretariat, Xie Hun, were both executed. The original text's "Liu Fan" and "Kun Huo" are likely errors due to similar characters.

石氏曰：“太白入太微庭，所中犯乘守者，為天子所誅；若有罪，太白犯左右執法，左右執法者誅；若有罪。”郗萌曰：“太白犯天府，庭臣為亂。”《荊州占》曰：“太白道，從太微西蕃北南方星間入，到南蕃東方星間南出，道也；中西蕃直坐入者，非道也。太白以庚子日順入太微天庭中，天子所使也；不以庚子日，非天子使。太白入太微軌道，吉；軌道者，入西門，出東門，若左右掖門，行不留也；不軌道者，謂有所犯守也。”

The Shi school says: When the planet Venus enters the court of Taiwei, any star that is shot at, offended, overpowers, or stops in its path will be the one that governs a person who will be executed by the emperor or be guilty of a crime. If Venus offends the Left Commander or the Right Commander, then the ministers who hold the posts of Left Commander or Right Commander will be executed or be guilty of a crime. Xi Meng says: When Venus offends the Treasury star and Command star, it indicates disorder among the court officials. The "Jingzhou Divination" says: The usual path of Venus is to enter from the western part of Taiwei's enclosure, slightly north of the southern stars, and then proceed to the eastern part of the southern stars, exiting to the south, which is called "following the path." If Venus enters directly from the center of the western part facing the Imperial Seat, it is not following the usual path. When Venus moves smoothly into the Taiwei enclosure on a Gengzi day, it is the emperor's envoy; if it enters on any other day, it is not the emperor's messenger. When Venus enters Taiwei and follows its path, it is auspicious. Following the path means entering from the western gate and exiting from the eastern gate, or entering and exiting from the left and right side gates, moving along without stopping. Not following the path means offending or stopping at the stars within the enclosure.

郗萌曰：“太白當太微門，為受制；當在左執法，受事左右執法；守太微門三日以下，為受制；三日以上，為兵、為賊、為亂、為飢。”石氏曰：“太白出東掖門，為相受命；東南出，德事也；出西掖門，為將受命；西南出，刑事也；期以春夏。太白入太微，出左掖門，大將軍出，東南伐；出右掖門，大將軍出，西南伐；皆不出其年。”

Xi Meng said: When the planet Venus is positioned at the entrance of the Taimei Enclosure, it signifies receiving the mandate of the sovereign; if it is positioned at the left enforcement position, it signifies receiving affairs from the left and right enforcers. If Venus remains at the Taimei gate for three days, it signifies receiving the sovereign's mandate; if it exceeds three days, it signifies military calamity, banditry, unrest, and famine. The Shi school said: When Venus exits from the eastern wing gate, it signifies the chancellor receiving appointment; if it exits towards the southeast, it signifies the distribution of virtue and benevolence. When Venus exits from the western wing gate, it signifies the general receiving appointment; if it exits towards the southwest, it signifies punishment and execution; these phenomena occur in the seasons of spring and summer. When Venus enters the Taimei Enclosure and exits from the left wing gate, it signifies the grand general leading an army to campaign towards the southeast; if it exits from the right wing gate, it signifies the grand general leading an army to campaign towards the southwest; both situations occur within the same year.

《黃帝占》曰：“太白入天庭，色白潤澤，為期百八十日，有赦。”《帝覽嬉》曰：“太白入太微，而出端門；臣不臣。”《洛書》曰：“太白入左右掖門，出太陽東門，強臣暴誅；若入端門，庭守十日，臣欲害君，期不十日。”《春秋圖》曰：“太白入西華門，出東華門，大臣作亂，謀其主；若諸侯不從王命，期百八十日，若一年。”

The Yellow Emperor's Divination says: When the planet Venus enters the heavenly court, appearing bright and smooth in color, it indicates a period of one hundred and eighty days, during which there will be an amnesty. The Imperial Viewing says: When Venus enters the Taimei region and exits from the end door, which is the main gate of Taimei region located between the two officials in the southern face of Taimei region, it signifies that ministers and subjects will not abide by their proper conduct. The Luo Writing says: When Venus enters from the left and right side doors and exits from the Sun's eastern gate, it indicates that a powerful minister will be suddenly executed. If it enters from the end door and stays for ten days in the court, it signifies that ministers have intentions to harm the sovereign, and the fulfillment of this omen will occur within less than ten days. The Spring and Autumn Diagram says: When Venus enters from the Western Huamen and exits from the Eastern Huamen, it indicates that high ministers will rebel and plot against the sovereign; or that the feudal lords will not obey the sovereign's orders, with the fulfillment of this omen occurring within one hundred and eighty days or one year.

石氏曰：“太白入太微庭，中華東西門，若左掖門，而南出端門者，為必有反臣。太白入西出東門，皆為人君不安，欲求賢佐；有入中西華門，出中華東門，為臣有不令；有入太陰西門，出太陰東門，皆為天下大亂，有喪，若大水。”甘氏曰：“太白入太陰西門，出東門，天下大亂，主死，破宮；若有大水，期一年。”

The Shi school says: When the planet Venus enters the Taimei palace, passing through the East Gate of Zhonghua, the West Gate of Zhonghua, or the Left Yard Gate, then moving south through the End Gate, it indicates there will certainly be a rebellious minister. If Venus enters from the west and exits through the East Gate of Zhonghua, it indicates the ruler will not have peace, and will seek virtuous ministers to assist. If Venus enters through the West Gate of Zhonghua and exits through the East Gate of Zhonghua, it indicates ministers will not obey orders. If Venus enters through the West Gate of Taiyin and exits through the East Gate of Taiyin, it indicates great chaos throughout the land, there will be calamities, or a flood. The Gan school says: If Venus enters through the West Gate of Taiyin and exits through the East Gate of Taiyin, it indicates great chaos throughout the land, the ruler will die, the palace will be destroyed; or a great flood will occur, and this will be fulfilled within one year.

The original commentary cites Sima Biao's "Astronomical Records": In the autumn of the fourth year of Wang Mang's reign during the territory of the Later Han, the planet Venus halted within the Taiwei constellation, its light shining brightly on the ground as bright as the moon. Venus governs warfare, and the Taiwei constellation represents the court of the Son of Heaven. When Venus moved ahead and deviated northward into the Taiwei constellation, it was a sign that military calamity would soon enter the Son of Heaven's court. At that time, Wang Mang sent two grand commanders' armies to Kunyang, which were defeated by Liu Xiu, the future Emperor Guangwu; Wang Mang then appointed nine generals and advanced to Huayin, but they were all defeated by Han generals Liu Bi and Li Song. The Han army then attacked the capital. On the 5th day of the tenth lunar month, the Han troops attacked and entered through the Xuanping gate; on the 18th day of the second lunar month, thousands of young men in the city rose up against Wang Mang. The merchant Du Hao killed Wang Mang on the Jian platform, and the officer Gong Bao beheaded him, and the army then entered the palace. Soon after, the Later Han Emperor Gengshi entered Chang'an and took up residence in the front hall of the Weiyang Palace—these events fulfilled the prophecy of military fire entering the palace.

郗萌曰：“太白入太微西門，犯天庭，出端門，為大臣伐主；入西門，而折出右掖門，為大臣假主之威，而不從主命；太白入西華門，出端門東門，詐稱詔。太白入太微西門，若入端門，出東門，為貴者奪勢。太白入太微中，臣相殺，國有憂。”《荊州占》曰：“太白主西方北方，入太微西南陽星之南，為西方；入二星之北，為北方；皆臣殺主之候也。犯帝座星，臣勝；不犯、不勝；視其所止留之宿國，以知其所誅。”

Xi Meng said: When the planet Venus enters from the western gate of Taimei, it offends the heavenly court, and then exits from the end gate, indicating that ministers will attack the sovereign. If Venus enters from the western gate and then turns to exit from the right wing gate, it indicates that ministers will act under the sovereign's authority but not obey the sovereign's orders. If Venus enters from the western palace gate and exits from the end gate or the eastern gate, it indicates that someone will forge imperial edicts. If Venus enters from the western gate of Taimei or enters from the end gate and exits from the eastern gate, it indicates that the powerful will lose their authority. If Venus enters the Taimei region, it indicates that ministers will kill each other and the state will face calamity. The "Jingzhou Divination" says: Venus governs the west and the north. If it enters from the southern side of the southwest star of Taimei, it indicates the west; if it enters from the northern side of these two stars, it indicates the north—both are omens of ministers killing the sovereign. If Venus offends the imperial seat star, the ministers will win; if it does not offend, the ministers will not win. Then, observe where it stays in the constellation corresponding to the territory, and one can know where the punishment will fall.

《荊州占》曰：“太白入太微西蕃第一星，行至東蕃第一星，東下去；太微者，天子庭也；太白行其中，宮門當閉，大將軍被甲，守兵大臣伏誅，左右有罪者。”（司馬彪《天文志》曰：孝靈帝建寧元年六月，太白在西方入太微，犯西蕃南頭星，其年八月，太傅陳蕃，大將軍寶武謀，欲盡誅諸宦者，其年九月辛亥，中常侍曹節，長樂五官吏朱瑀覺之，先矯制殺蕃等，家屬徒日南。）

The *Jingzhou Divination* says: When the planet Venus enters the westernmost star of the Taimei Enclosure, it proceeds along its path to the first star of the easternmost part, then moves eastward and departs. The Taimei Enclosure is the palace of the Son of Heaven. When Venus passes through it, the palace gates should be closed, and the Grand General should put on armor and be on alert; otherwise, the guards and ministers will be executed. The ruler's attendants will have committed a crime. The original commentary cites Sima Biao's *Astronomical Records*: In the first year of Jianning of Emperor Ling of Han, in June, Venus was in the west and entered the Taimei Enclosure, offending the southernmost star of the western part. In August of the same year, the Grand Tutor Chen Fan and the Grand General Dou Wu planned to eliminate all the eunuchs. In September of that year, on the Xinhai day, the Middle Attendant Cao Jie and the official Zhu Yu of the Changle Palace Palace discovered this plot and first falsely transmitted the imperial decree to kill Chen Fan and others. The families of the victims were exiled to Jinnan Commandery. The original text mistakenly wrote "Baowu" instead of "Dou Wu" and "tu" instead of "xi".

《荊州占》曰：“太白入太微宮，為天下驚；一曰有兵。太白入天庭，國不安其宮。太白入太微中，近臣起兵；入庭中，丞相、御史誅。”《北官候》曰：“太白入太微天庭，天子自將兵，大臣謀立，若有誅者。”《黃帝占》曰：“太白東行入太微庭中，出東門，天下有急兵，若守將、相、丞相、御史，大臣有死者；若入端門守庭，大禍至；入南門，出東門，國大旱；入南門，逆行出西門，國有大水；逆入東門，出西門，大國破亡；若順入西蕃，而留不去，楚國凶殃。”

The *Jingzhou Divination* says: When the planet Venus enters the Taimei Palace, it indicates the whole country will be in turmoil; another interpretation suggests there will be military conflicts. When Venus enters the heavenly court, it indicates the state will not be at peace within its palaces. When Venus enters the Taimei Palace, it indicates the close ministers will rise up in rebellion; when it enters the court, the prime minister and the censor will be executed. The *Beiguan Divination* says: When Venus enters the Taimei Heavenly Court, it indicates the emperor will personally lead the army, the ministers will plot to replace the emperor, or someone will be executed. The *Yellow Emperor Divination* says: When Venus moves eastward into the Taimei Court and then exits through the eastern gate, it indicates there will be urgent military conflicts in the country; if it stops at the stars of general, prime minister, chancellor, or censor, then there will be death among the ministers; if it enters through the end gate and stops in the court, great calamity will come. If it enters through the southern gate and exits through the eastern gate, there will be a great drought in the country; if it enters through the southern gate and moves backward to exit through the western gate, there will be a great flood in the country; if it moves backward to enter through the eastern gate and exits through the western gate, the great state will be ruined and destroyed; if it moves forward into the western region and stays there, then the state of Chu will suffer misfortune.

巫咸曰：“太白逆行入太陽東門，出西門，有反臣欲伐其主，期九十日。太白逆行入太微天庭中，為大臣有誅；若諸侯戮死，期二年。”石氏曰：“太白逆行入左掖門，為大臣劫其主。太白逆行於太微之中，及出左右掖門，為有逆謀，天子有命將征伐之事；一曰大赦可以解其患。”《荊州占》曰：“太白逆行入太微天庭中，為諸侯將有殺者；若至黃帝座而謀成，不至黃帝座而遠，有謀不成；以其入日占國。”

Wu Xian said: When the planet Venus moves retrograde and enters from the eastern gate of the Sun, then exits from the western gate, it indicates there will be a minister who rebels and intends to attack the sovereign. The fulfillment of this omen will occur within ninety days. When Venus moves retrograde and enters the Taimei celestial court, it indicates that a high official will be executed; or that a feudal lord will be killed and die. The fulfillment of this omen will occur within two years. The Shi school said: When Venus moves retrograde and enters from the left yeyamen, it indicates that a minister will seize control of the sovereign. When Venus moves retrograde within Taimei, or enters and exits from the left and right yeyamen, it indicates there will be plots of rebellion. The Son of Heaven will have to appoint generals and dispatch troops for military campaigns. Another interpretation suggests that a great amnesty can resolve this calamity. The "Jingzhou Omen" said: When Venus moves retrograde and enters the Taimei celestial court, it indicates that a feudal lord will be killed. If it reaches the seat of the Yellow Emperor, the plot will succeed. If it does not reach the seat of the Yellow Emperor and is still far away, the plot will not succeed. Further, according to the day branch on which it enters, one can determine which state will be involved.

《玉曆》曰：“太白逆行入太微，強臣凌主，天下大亂，諸侯皆兵起。太白留太微庭中，天下大憂；中央留十日以上，為天下亡徒為兵者。太白道南蕃入，留止南門，為大臣有憂。”（司馬彪《天文志》曰：太白贏而北入太微，大兵將入天子之庭，出太微，宮中有兵。）《荊州占》曰：“太白從右入七日以上，為主有憂。”

The *Yu Li* says: When the planet Venus moves retrograde and enters the Taiwei constellation, it indicates a powerful minister who will oppress the sovereign, leading to great chaos throughout the land and military actions arising in all the feudal states. If Venus remains stationary in the court of Taiwei, it signifies great anxiety across the realm; if it stays in the central area for more than ten days, it indicates that many outlaws will gather into military forces. When Venus enters through the southern region and stays at the southern gate without moving, it foretells worries for the ministers. The original commentary cites Sima Biao's *Astronomical Annals*: If Venus moves ahead and deviates northward into Taiwei, it indicates a large army attacking the sovereign's palace; if Venus exits from Taiwei, there will be a military revolt within the palace. The *Jingzhou Divination* states: If Venus enters from the right side and remains for more than seven days, it indicates the sovereign will face troubles.

《感精符》曰：“太白入端門而守之，大臣謀叛，將軍伐主，外臣陵內，天下大亂，期二年。”《黃帝占》曰：“太白乾太微，留守二十日以上，為必有兵革，天下大赦。”《春秋緯》曰：“太白入太微庭，其陵犯留焉三十日，必有喪。”《荊州占》曰：“太白入太微天庭中，犯乘守者殺，若有罪，各以守宦名名之。（《宋書天文志》曰：晉慧帝大安二年秋，太白守太微，成都河間攻洛陽，三年正月，東海王越執長沙王乂，張方又殺之。）太白食，若中犯秉守太微東西蕃、四輔，為君失禮，輔臣有誅者。”

The *Gan Jing Fu* says: When the planet Venus enters the gate and stops there, it indicates that ministers will plot rebellion, generals will attack the sovereign, subordinate officials will oppress the inner court, and the whole country will be in great disorder, with the event occurring within two years. The *Huang Di Zhan* says: When Venus interferes with Taiwei and remains there for more than twenty days, there will certainly be military conflict, followed by a general amnesty. The *Chun Qiu Wei* says: When Venus enters the court of Taiwei and there it oppresses and stays for thirty days, there will certainly be mourning events. The *Jingzhou Zhan* says: When Venus enters the court of Taiwei, any star that is interfered with, oppressed, or occupied by Venus will have the person it represents killed or punished, according to the official rank of the star it occupies. The original commentary cites the *Song Shu · Tianwen Zhi*: In the second year of Tai'an in the reign of Emperor Hui of Jin, Venus stopped in Taiwei, and the Prince of Chengdu and the Prince of Hejian attacked Luoyang; in the third year of the first lunar month, Prince Donghai of the Sima clan arrested Prince Changsha of the Sima clan, and Zhang Fang later killed him. The original text mistakenly writes "Hui Di" instead of "Hui Di," and "Da An" is the same as "Tai An." When Venus undergoes an eclipse, or when it interferes with, attacks, or occupies the stars of the eastern and western branches and the four assistants of Taiwei, it indicates that the sovereign has failed in propriety, and among the ministers assisting in governance, some will be executed.

《聖洽符》曰：“太白守土司空，邦君有死者。”《海中占》曰：“太白守土司空，其國以土起兵；若有土功之事，天下旱。”石氏曰：“太白守土司空，有兵喪；天下憂水。”

The Shengqia Fu says: When the planet Venus stops at "Tu Sikuang," which is located south of the Ku Xiu mansion, it indicates matters related to earth and wood construction. It signifies that there will be the death of a monarch in the country. The Hai Zhong Zhan says: When Venus stops at Tu Sikuang, it indicates that the country corresponding to this area will have military conflicts over land, or will undertake large-scale earth and wood construction projects, leading to a great drought across the country. The Shi school says: When Venus stops at Tu Sikuang, it indicates there will be military disasters and funerals; the whole country will be worried about water disasters. Note: From this section "Tu Sikuang eleven" to the following section "Tai Bai Fan Tian Jiu seven," a long passage is repeated at the end of volume fifty-one, and it is exactly the same as the content in volume fifty-two "Tai Bai Zhan eight." Here, we follow the original text without any deletion or consolidation.

《黃帝占》曰：“太白入天倉中，主財寶出，主憂臣在內，天下有兵而倉庫之戶俱開；主人勝，客事不成，期二十日而發。”《荊州占》曰：“太白守天倉，天下飢，粟出。”齊伯曰：“太白守天倉，諸侯有發粟之事，有兵起；星若當戶守之，將受命，不為主用。”石氏曰：“太白入守天倉，有兵起，食粟散出；一曰年穀不登，人民飢。”郗萌曰：“太白中犯乘守天倉，四夷人相食，期三歲，兵起西方，若北方。”

The Huangdi Zhàn says: When the planet Venus enters the Heavenly Granary, which consists of six stars located south of the Bond Mansion, it indicates that the treasures stored in the government granaries will be dispersed, the ruler will be anxious, while the ministers will remain within the palace. There will be military campaigns throughout the land, and all the granary gates will be opened. The defending side will achieve victory, while the attacking side's plans will fail. This omen will be fulfilled within twenty days. The Jingzhou Zhàn says: When Venus stops in the Heavenly Granary, it foretells a great famine across the land, with grain being transported out of the granaries. Qi Bo says: When Venus stops in the Heavenly Granary, it indicates that the feudal lords will open their granaries to distribute grain, and military actions will arise. If this planet is directly facing the granary gate, then generals although appointed, will not be willing to serve the ruler. The Shi school says: When Venus enters and stops in the Heavenly Granary, it indicates the outbreak of military conflicts and the distribution of stored grain; another interpretation is that the harvest will be poor and the people will suffer from hunger. Xi Meng says: When Venus shoots at, offends, dominates, and stops in the Heavenly Granary, it indicates that the four directions of the barbarian tribes will suffer from famine and hunger, leading to people eating each other. This omen will be fulfilled within three years, with military conflicts arising in the western or northern regions.

石氏曰：“太白入天囷，天下兵起，囷倉儲積之物發用；一曰御物多有出者，庫藏空虛，期二年。”《海中占》曰：“太白入天囷，天下兵起，儲侯謀，囷倉庫藏有破者。”（《宋書天文志》曰：晉孝武大元二年四月壬申，太白入天.，占曰：為飢，陸安元年，王恭舉兵，協朝遷，內外戒嚴，出國寶以謝之，又水旱，民飢。）

The Shi school says: When the planet Venus enters the "Heavenly Granary" (Tianqun), which consists of thirteen stars located south of the Stomach mansion, representing a circular granary that stores grain, it indicates that the whole country will be involved in military campaigns, and the stored grain in the granary will be drawn upon. Another interpretation suggests that royal supplies will be heavily used up, leading to the emptiness of the treasury. This prediction is expected to be verified within two years. The book "Sea Divination" states: When Venus enters the Heavenly Granary, it signifies that the whole country will be involved in military campaigns, and the princes will have plots against each other. The granary and treasury may be attacked. The original commentary cites the "Book of Song · Astronomical Records": In the second year of Emperor Xiaowu's Taoyuan period in the Jin dynasty, in the fourth month on the day of Renshen, Venus entered the Heavenly Granary. The original text only has the character "Heaven" here, and the next character is faded and indistinct. The divination text says this indicates famine. By the first year of Long'an, Wang Gong raised an army, threatened the court, and the capital and its surroundings were on high alert. The court surrendered Wang Guobao to him as an apology. At the same time, there was drought and flood, and the people suffered from hunger. The original text's "Lu'an" is a mistake for "Long'an," and "Chaoqian" is a mistake for "court."

石氏曰：“太白守天廩，天下大飢。”甘氏曰：“太白入守天廩，天下有兵，歲大飢，倉粟散，不出其年。”《玉曆》曰：“太白入守天廩，兵起滿野，天下粟出，給軍糧；一曰糴貴。”石氏曰：“太白犯守天廩，天下亂，粟散出。”

The Shi school says: When the planet Venus stops at the mansion of Tian Lin, which is four stars located south of the mansion of Hairy Head, it indicates that there will be a great famine throughout the land. The Gan school says: When the planet Venus enters and stops at Tian Lin, it indicates that there will be military conflicts, a great famine, and the grain stored in granaries will be exhausted, and the prediction will not be accurate for that year. The Jade Calendar says: When the planet Venus enters and stops at Tian Lin, it indicates that warfare will break out everywhere across the land, and the grain throughout the land will be taken out to supply the military; another interpretation is that the price of grain will become very high. The Shi school says: When the planet Venus intrudes and stops at Tian Lin, it indicates great chaos throughout the land, and the stored grain will be dispersed and lost.

《荊州占》曰：“太白入天苑，出兵犯外夷。”《荊州占》曰：“太白守天苑，兵起馬死。”石氏曰：“太白入守天苑，牛羊禽獸多疾疫；若守之二十日，天下兵起，馬多死，其國憂。”（漢班固《天文志》曰：“漢孝武元鼎五年，太白入天苑，占曰：將以馬超兵也，一曰馬將以軍而死耗，其年以天馬，故誅大宛馬大死天軍。）《玄冥占》曰：“太白守天苑，邊境兵起，王者出兵，徵外夷，天下馬發。”

The "Jingzhou Divination" states: When the planet Venus enters the "Tian Yuan" constellation — the Tian Yuan consists of sixteen stars located south of the constellations Mao and Bi, and it is the royal hunting ground for raising animals and sacrifices — it indicates the outbreak of military campaigns against foreign tribes. The "Jingzhou Divination" also says: When Venus stops in Tian Yuan, it signifies the rise of military affairs and the death of horses. The Shi school says: When Venus enters and stops in Tian Yuan, it indicates that cattle, sheep, and animals will be greatly afflicted by disease; if it stops for twenty days, there will be military campaigns across the land, with a large number of horses dying, and the country corresponding to this area will face troubles. The original text's marginal notes cite Han Ban Gu's "Astronomical Records": In the fifth year of Emperor Wu of Han's Yu Ding era, Venus entered Tian Yuan, and the divination text said that military campaigns would be launched for the purpose of obtaining horses; another interpretation suggests that horses would die in large numbers during military campaigns. That year, the empire was indeed engaged in warfare against the Duanwan people in pursuit of the Heavenly Horse, resulting in the death of many horses and soldiers — this marginal note contains many errors and omissions, but the general meaning is as such. The "Xuanming Divination" states: When Venus stops in Tian Yuan, it indicates military campaigns on the borders, the king leading an army to campaign against foreign tribes, and the whole country mobilizing horses.

《文曜鉤》曰：“太白守參旗，九州騷動，天下皆兵，弓不下弦，矢不舍筈，其國不寧，王者有憂。”《海中占》曰：“太白守參族，兵大起，弓弩，將士出行；一曰弓矢貴。”

The Wen Yao Gou says: When the planet Venus stops at "Cen Qi" — Cen Qi consists of nine stars located west of Cen mansion, also known as the Heavenly Banner, which presages the setting up of bows and arrows — it indicates turmoil in the nine provinces, armies everywhere, bows never relaxed, arrows constantly on the string, the country cannot be at peace, and the ruler has worries. The Hai Zhong Zhan says: When Venus stops at Cen Qi — the original text says "Cen Zu," which is a miswriting of Cen Qi — it indicates a large-scale military campaign, bows and arrows fully prepared, soldiers going to war; another interpretation is that the price of bows and arrows becomes very high.

《黃帝占》曰：“太白入玉井，為強國失地；其出之，強國得地。”巫咸曰：“太白入玉井，國有水憂；若以水為敗，水物不成，期不出年。”《感精符》曰：“太白入守玉井，水兵大起，若以水為變，魚鹽十倍。”

The Huangdi Zhan says: When the planet Venus enters the "Jade Well," which consists of four stars located beneath the left foot of the Three Stars mansion, it indicates the need to draw water for use in the kitchen and the preparation of food. This portends the loss of territory by a powerful state. When Venus exits the Jade Well, it signifies that a powerful state will gain territory. Wu Xian says: When Venus enters the Jade Well, there will be worries of water disasters within the country; or failure caused by water, with the produce from water sources failing to mature, and the fulfillment of the prophecy will not exceed one year. The Gan Jing Fu says: When Venus enters and stays in the Jade Well, there will be major naval battles, or disturbances caused by water, with the prices of fish and salt rising tenfold.

甘氏曰：“太白入屏星，為大臣戮；若疾。”《玄冥占》曰：“太白入守屏星，諸侯有謀；若有大臣有戮死者。”

The Gan school says: When the planet Venus enters the 'Screen stars' — the two Screen stars are located south of the Jade Well, indicating obstruction and hindrance — it signifies the death of a minister or illness. The "Xuanming Divination" states: When the planet Venus enters and stays in the Screen stars, it indicates that the feudal lords are secretly plotting something; or there will be a minister who dies by violence.

《黃帝占》曰：“太白犯天廁，為大臣戮者。”郗萌曰：“太白守廁星，國多疾疫，兵飢並起，人主有憂。”《甄曜度》曰：“太白入守天廁。天下大飢，人相食，死者大半，期二年。”

The "Yellow Emperor's Divination" says: When the planet Venus offends the "Heavenly Toilet" — the four stars of the Heavenly Toilet are located east of the Screen Star, and they presage the observation of diseases — indicating that there will be a minister who is killed. Xi Meng says: When Venus stops at the Heavenly Toilet star, it presages a great epidemic in the country, with military disasters and famine occurring simultaneously, and the sovereign will have worries. The "Zhenshao Du" says: When Venus enters and stops at the Heavenly Toilet, it presages a great famine across the country, people eating each other, with more than half of the people dying, and the fulfillment period is two years.

《帝覽嬉》曰：“太白守天矢，貴人多有疾而病死者；一曰民多以飢死。”

The "Imperial Inspection of Pleasures" says: The planet Venus stops at "Heavenly Arrow" — the star Heavenly Arrow is located south of the celestial toilet, which is also called the celestial excrement, and it indicates the occurrence of epidemics — it signifies that many high-ranking people will fall ill and die; another interpretation is that many common people will die from starvation.

《荊州占》曰：“太白守軍市，以飢兵起。”石氏曰：“太白入守軍市，兵大起，大將軍出，若以飢兵起；一曰天下亂，四夷兵起，道路不通；一曰大軍飢，絕其糧，兵士逃亡，期二年。”

The *Jingzhou Divination* says: When the planet Venus stops at "Junshi" — Junshi consists of thirteen stars located in the Southeast direction of the Three Stars mansion, which is a place for military mutual trade, indicating military provisions and camps — it signifies that warfare will arise due to famine. The Shi school says: When Venus enters and stops at Junshi, it indicates a large-scale military campaign, a general commander going on an expedition, or warfare arising due to famine; another interpretation is that the whole country will be in great disorder, with all four directions of the barbarians raising armies, and roads blocked and communication cut off; yet another interpretation is that the large army will suffer from hunger, the supply lines will be cut off, and soldiers will scatter, and this will be verified within a period of two years.

甘氏曰：“太白入軍市，犯守野雞，其國凶，有死將，軍營敗，兵士散。”

The Gan school says: When the planet Venus enters the military market, it offends and stops at the 'pheasant' star within it. The pheasant star located in the military market indicates signs of strange occurrences. This signifies that the state corresponding to this region will face calamities, with generals dying in battle, the military camp collapsing, and soldiers scattering.

《感精符》曰：“太白守狼星，車騎出滿野；守二十二日，將相有死者。”石氏曰：“守白守狼星，野獸死。”郗萌曰：“太白提狼星，而出入守之，車騎兵出，大將有千里之行。”《荊州占》曰：“太白守狼，敵兵起。太白犯守狼星，大將出行，其國有兵；一曰有兵，將死。”齊伯曰：“太白犯守狼星，兵大起，士卒行，天下凶，諸侯相攻，多賊盜。”（《宋書天文志》曰：晉惠帝永興二年四月丙子，太白犯狼星，是年苟破公師，藩張方破莊陽王號，關西諸將攻河間，王&&奔走東海，王遂而殺之也。）

The "Gan Jing Fu" says: When the planet Venus stops at "Wang Star," which is located in the southeast of the Well Mansion, its color is white with a bright edge, indicating invasion and plundering. This signifies the movement of chariots and cavalry, filling the plains. If it remains for twenty-two days, there will be the death of ministers and generals. The Shi school says: When Venus stops at Wang Star, it indicates the death of wild animals. The original text's "shou bai" is a miswriting for "Tai Bai." Xi Meng says: When Venus approaches Wang Star, moving in and out between them and stopping there, it indicates the movement of chariots and cavalry, and the commander-in-chief will have a long march. The "Jingzhou Zhan" says: When Venus stops at Wang Star, it indicates the rise of enemy troops. When Venus invades and stops at Wang Star, it indicates the departure of a great general and military affairs in the country; another interpretation is that there will be military affairs and the death of generals. Qi Bo says: When Venus invades and stops at Wang Star, it indicates a large-scale military campaign, soldiers traveling far, the world showing signs of calamity, and the feudal lords attacking each other, with many bandits. The original commentary cites the "Song Shu · Tianwen Zhi": In the second year of Emperor Hui of Jin's Yongxing period, in the fourth month on the day of Bingzi, Venus invaded Wang Star. In that year, Guo Xi defeated Gong Shi Fan, Zhang Fang attacked and destroyed the branch of the royal title of Changsha, and the generals in the western region attacked Prince Hejian. A certain prince fled to Prince Donghai, and Prince Donghai eventually killed him. This note has many errors and omissions in the names, and the original manuscript has two places with ink marks, so only the general meaning is preserved.

《荊州占》曰：“太白守弧星，弓弩矢貴，大將軍有千里之行，民多死者。”《玄冥占》曰：“太白守弧星，臣有謀主者，庫兵盡用，關梁四塞，津道不通，期二年。”
