《黃帝占》曰：“流星入紫宮，有大喪，大兵起，將軍有戮死者，期三年。”（案司馬彪《天文志》曰：孝章建初二年九月甲寅，流星過紫宮，長數丈，散為三，滅。後四年六月癸丑，明德皇后崩。孝和永元七年下月丁未，有流星起天津入紫宮中，滅，色青黃，有光。十二月巳卯，流星起文昌入紫宮，後竇太后，崩，隴西羌反。

The Yellow Emperor's Divination says: A falling star enters the Purple Palace, indicating that there will be a great mourning on earth, and large-scale warfare will arise. Among the generals, some will be killed. This prediction will be fulfilled within three years. The Purple Palace refers to the Purple Enclosure, which is the palace of the heavenly emperor. Therefore, the divination directly relates to the court. The original commentary says: According to司马彪's Records of the Han Dynasty's Astronomical Annals, in the second year of Jianchu of Emperor Zhang of Han, in September on the day of Jiayin, a falling star passed through the Purple Palace, measuring several zhang in length, split into three streams and then faded out. Four years later, on the day of Guichou in June, the Empress Dowager Ma of Mingde died. In the seventh year of Yongyuan of Emperor He of Han, on the following month's day of Dingwei, a falling star rose from Tianjin and flew into the Purple Palace, then faded out, with a green-yellow color and a glow. On the day of Jimao in December of the same year, another falling star rose from the Star of Examinations and Documents and flew into the Purple Palace. Afterwards, the Dowager Dou died, and the Qiang people of Longxi rebelled.

《宋天文志》曰：宋前廢帝永光元年六月壬午，有流星前赤後白，入紫宮，明年會稽太守，尋陽王子房、廣州刺吏袁墨遠、雍州刺史袁顗、青州刺史沈文秀並叛，昭太后崩。明年，太始二年三月甲寅，流星從五車出。至紫宮西藩沒，其年四方反叛。內兵大出，六師親戎。昭太后崩，大將殷孝祖為南賊所殺也。）

The "Book of the Later Han · Astronomical Records" states: In the first year of Yongguang of Liu Song's former emperor, on the day of Renwu in June, there was a meteor that first appeared red and then white, flying into the Purple Palace. The next year, Xunyang Prince Liu Zifang, governor of Kuaiji, Yu Mo yuan, governor of Guangzhou, Yu Yan, governor of Yongzhou, and Shen Wenxiu, governor of Qingzhou, all rebelled, and the Empress Dowager Zhao died. Another year later, in the second year of Taishi, on the day of Jiayin in March, there was a meteor that shot out from the Five Carriages and flew to the western boundary of the Purple Micro垣 and disappeared. That year, rebellions broke out in all directions, and the court's military forces moved out in large numbers, with the emperor personally leading the six armies. The Empress Dowger Zhao died, and the general Yin Xiaozu was killed by the southern rebels. This is the original book's note.

石氏曰：“流星入紫宮，主憂；天下多死者，臣犯主；又曰：入紫宮，使者憂；又曰：入紫宮，使者復命，名曰使星，諸侯有來使者。”班固《天文志》曰：“孝昭元平元年三月丙戍，流星出翼軫東北，干太微紫宮，始出小，旦入大，有光入，有聲如雷，三鳴止；占曰：流星入紫宮，天下大凶。其年四月癸未，宮車晏駕。”

The Shi school's Star Classic says: A falling star entering the Purple Palace indicates the ruler will have worries, many people will die throughout the country, and ministers will offend the ruler; another interpretation says that a falling star entering the Purple Palace indicates officials will have worries; another says that a falling star entering the Purple Palace is a sign of envoys returning to court, such a star is called the envoy star, indicating dukes sending envoys. Ban Gu's Han Book, Astronomical Records, records: In the first year of Yuanping of Emperor Zhao of Han, in the third month on the day of Bingxu, there was a falling star shooting out from the Northeast of the Wings mansion and Chariot mansion, attacking Taiwei and the Purple Palace. When it first appeared, it was small in size, but as it approached, it became larger, carrying light and flying in, producing a thunder-like sound, which echoed three times before stopping. The divination text says: A falling star entering the Purple Palace indicates great misfortune throughout the country. In the fourth month on the day of Guiwei, Emperor Zhao died.

《荊州占》曰：“流星入紫宮，水旱不調。”（案韋昭《洞記》曰：當靈帝嘉平二年，有流星出文昌，入紫宮。六月，北海水溢，司空楊賜免也。）《荊州占》曰：“奔星入紫宮中，大亂；一曰為其國有亂；其出也，國去其君。”（案《中興書》曰：安帝隆安五年三月甲寅，有流星赤色，眾多西行，歷牽牛、虛、危、天津、閣道、貫索、太微、紫宮，桓玄篡位之應。）

The *Jingzhou Divination* says: A falling star flies into the Purple Palace, indicating imbalance in water and drought. The original commentary notes: According to Wei Zhao's *Dong Ji*, in the second year of Xiping during the Han Lingdi era, a falling star shot out from the Star of Examinations and Documents and flew into the Purple Palace; in June of that year, there was a great flood in the northern sea region, and the Grand Minister Yang Cai was dismissed from office. The Han dynasty had an old system where the Three Excellencies corresponded to heavenly phenomena; when there was a flood, the Grand Minister would be dismissed, so this prediction came true in the case of Yang Cai. The *Jingzhou Divination* also says: A rushing star flying into the Purple Palace indicates great chaos throughout the country; another interpretation is that there will be chaos in a particular state; if the star shoots out from the Purple Palace, the country will lose its ruler. The original commentary notes: According to the *Zhongxingshu*, on the 1st day of the third month in the fifth year of Long'an during the Jin An帝 era, a red falling star appeared in groups flying westward, passing through the constellation Niutou, Xu, Wei, Tianjin, Ge Dao, Guansuo, Taimei, and the Purple Palace. This was the omen of Huan Xuan's usurpation of the throne; when a group of stars passes through all the constellations and finally reaches the imperial residence, star diviners interpreted this as a sign that the imperial seat was being trampled upon.

《荊州占》曰：“使星入紫宮，匈奴起兵。”陳卓曰：“奔星入紫宮，天下大亂；若有奇令。”石氏曰：“流星出紫宮，天子之急使也；青，憂；赤，有兵；黃，有土功；白，有喪；一曰義；黑，有水事；皆以所之分野命其國；星復入者，使復命也，不出其年。”《海中占》曰：“流星出紫宮，人主宮殿空，若有徙王，不則出走，期三年。”《荊州占》曰：“流星出紫宮中，奔入天牢中，天子以赦應之。”

The "Jingzhou Divination" says: If the star of officials flies into the Purple Palace, the Xiongnu will soon raise an army. Chen Zhuo says: If a rushing star flies into the Purple Palace, there will be great chaos throughout the land, or the court will issue unusual edicts. The "Shi School Star Classic" says: If a shooting star emerges from the Purple Palace, it signifies an urgent messenger sent by the emperor; if the star is green, it indicates worry; if red, there will be military action; if yellow, there will be construction projects; if white, there will be mourning, or alternatively, it signifies righteous deeds; if black, there will be floods. The country affected will be determined by the direction the star flies toward. If this star then flies back into the Purple Palace, it means the messenger has returned to court, and the prophecy will be fulfilled within the same year. The "Sea Divination" says: If a shooting star emerges from the Purple Palace, the emperor's palace will be empty, or there will be a transfer of the monarch, or the monarch will flee, and this will be fulfilled within three years. The "Jingzhou Divination" says: If a shooting star emerges from the Purple Palace and rushes into the Heavenly Prison, the emperor will respond with a great amnesty to this celestial phenomenon.

《宋書天文志》曰：“宋文帝元嘉二十年二月二十四日乙未，流星大如桃，出天津，入紫宮；須臾有細流星，或五或三相續，又有一大流星從紫宮出，入北斗魁；須臾又有一大流星出貫索中，經天市，諸流星並向西北行，至曉不可稱數。流星占並云：天子之使；又曰庶民惟星，星流民散之象。至二十七年，索虜破青、翼、徐、兗、豫六州，民死大半。”《荊州占》曰：“使星出入紫宮，有空國，王徙。”

The "Song Shu · Tianwen Zhi" records that on the twenty-fourth day of the second month in the twentieth year of Wen Di of the Song dynasty, on Yiwei, there was a large meteor resembling a peach, shooting out from Tianjin and flying into Ziguang. A moment later, there were small meteors, coming down in groups of five or three. Another large meteor shot out from Ziguang, flying into the handle of the Big Dipper. A moment later, another large meteor shot out from Guansuo, passing through the Tianshi垣. All these meteors flew toward the northwest direction, until dawn, and there were too many to count. Various meteor omens say that meteors symbolize the messengers of the emperor; they also say that common people are like stars, and the scattering of stars represents the dispersion of the people. By the twenty-seventh year of Wen Di, the northern Wei army attacked and captured six states: Qing, Ji, Xu, Yan, Yu, and others, and half of the people died. The "Jingzhou Zhuan" says that the appearance of the messenger star entering and exiting Ziguang indicates that the country is empty and the king will move.

《黃帝占》曰：“使星色白，入北極，天下兵聚；一曰國有大變，若有稱兵。”石氏曰：“流星入北辰，天下道塞；出北辰，天下安。”焦延壽曰：“流星入北辰，兵大起。”《黃帝占》曰：“流星出北辰，地動。”石氏曰：“使星出北極，兵不在外者罷，若兵聚境外，期不出年。”《荊州占》曰：“使星色赤，出北極，兵罷於外。”石氏曰：“當以戊日占有流星出北極，天子德令安天下。”《黃帝》曰：“流星抵北極，國有大喪，天下兵起非一國，將軍戰死；若大臣破戮，期不出三年。”

The Yellow Emperor's Divination says: If the guiding star appears white and flies into the 'North Pole,' armies across the land will gather; another interpretation says there will be a great calamity in the country, or someone will raise an army. The North Pole consists of five stars located at the center of the sky, representing the sovereign's proper position. The Shi School's Star Classic says: If a meteor flies into the Northern Star, the roads throughout the country will be blocked; if it shoots out from the Northern Star, the country will be peaceful. Jiao Yanshou says: If a meteor flies into the Northern Star, there will be great military action. The Yellow Emperor's Divination says: If a meteor shoots out from the Northern Star, there will be an earthquake. The Shi School's Star Classic says: One should observe on a Wu day; if a meteor is seen shooting out from the Northern Star, it indicates the Son of Heaven will use virtuous governance to pacify the world. The Yellow Emperor's Divination says: If a meteor collides with the Northern Star, there will be a great mourning in the country, and wars will break out in many states, generals will die in battle; or ministers will be executed, and this will come to pass within three years.

石氏曰：“流星抵北極而止，色前赤後白，有來言兵事者，成；前白後黃，人主立太子，有裂地者；色赤而前黃銳，有來吾國而死者；色白而前後皆銳，有來言開關而和者；若兵罷，四方皆然。”甘氏曰：“流星入鉤陳，必有迫劫主者；其臣謀其主；若兵起宮中，期二年。”

The Shi school's Star Classic says: If a shooting star approaches the North Star and stops, if the front is red and the back is white, there will be someone coming to discuss military affairs, and the discussion will succeed; if the front is white and the back is yellow, the king will appoint a crown prince and there will be matters of granting land and titles; if the entire star is red with a yellow tip and sharp end, someone will come to the country but die here; if the entire star is white with sharp ends at both front and back, someone will come to discuss opening borders and making peace; as for ceasing hostilities, the situations in all directions can be predicted in this way. The Gan school's Star Classic says: If a shooting star flies into 'Gou Chen', there will certainly be someone forcing and abducting the king, ministers plotting against their sovereign, or a military mutiny occurring within the palace, and this will come true within two years.

《聖洽符》曰：“流星犯抵天一太一者，五穀成熟，人民安樂，天下太平，鄰國寧。”

The Shengqia Fu says: When a shooting star invades and collides with the stars Tianyi and Taiyi, it is actually a good omen: the five grains will be abundant, the people will live in peace and happiness, the world will be at peace, and neighboring countries will also be tranquil. The stars Tianyi and Taiyi are located outside the Purple Micro Enclosure, and they are the divine tablets of the heavenly emperor, governing warfare and knowing the fortune and misfortune of people. Therefore, when a shooting star invades them, it does not indicate military disaster but rather abundance and joy.

《黃帝占》曰：“流星入庫樓，庫兵發用事；車騎出，流星出之，兵大起，隨星所之，兵所從往；期三年。”郗萌曰：“流星出天庫，所之邑，受兵。使星出入天庫樓，天下空虛，兵盡出。”

The Yellow Emperor's Divination says: If a shooting star flies into the 'Kulou', the weapons in the military storehouse should be unsealed and used, and the army with chariots and cavalry should proceed to the front lines; if the shooting star shoots out from the Kulou, there will be great military action, and the direction the shooting star flies to indicates the direction the army will advance, and this will be verified within three years. The ten stars of Kulou are located south of the Horn mansion, and they represent the military storehouse where the Son of Heaven keeps his chariots and weapons. Xi Meng says: If a shooting star shoots out from the celestial storehouse, the city it flies to will suffer military calamity. When the planet of power enters or leaves the celestial storehouse, the treasury of the whole country will become empty, and all weapons will be dispatched.

石氏曰：“流星入南門，西夷兵起，關道不通，國有憂。”《荊州占》曰：“流星南門甚眾，大臣有外事。”

The Shi school's Star Classic says: If a shooting star enters the 'South Gate,' the western barbarians will rise in rebellion, the passes and roads will be blocked, and there will be troubles within the country. The two stars of the South Gate are located south of Kulu, representing the heavenly outer gate, which governs defense and guarding the gates. The Jingzhou Divination says: If many shooting stars appear near the South Gate, it indicates that ministers will have matters to attend to outside the country.

《玉曆》曰：“流星入平星，執令臣有憂；若有罪，星若出之，臣有黜者；期百八十日。”

The Yulu says: A falling star entering the "Ping Star" indicates that officials in charge of laws and decrees will face troubles or be punished for some wrongdoing. If the falling star originates from the Ping Star, there will be officials who are dismissed, and this will come to pass within 180 days. The two Ping Stars are located to the north of Kulu, governing the review of legal cases and ensuring fair rewards and punishments, equivalent to the role of the Imperial Court's Chief Justice in the human world.

甘氏曰：“流星入騎官，有兵起，騎士將出，有憂；若馬多死，期一年，遠二年。”石氏曰：“流星抵騎官，兵起；星所止，知之。”

The Gan School Star Classic says: If a meteor flies into the 'Qiguan' constellation, there will be military actions, with cavalry and generals mobilizing, accompanied by worries; or there may be a large number of horses dying, with the effect occurring within a year or two. The Qiguan constellation consists of twenty-seven stars located south of the Dishi mansion, representing the imperial cavalry for guarding the emperor. The Shi School Star Classic says: If a meteor collides with Qiguan, military actions will occur; as to where they will take place, it can be determined by the direction where the meteor stops falling.

《聖洽符》曰：“流星入積卒，兵士大行，若將死；一曰近臣有誅者，期不出二年。”（案《晉陽秋》曰：大元元年三月丁巳，流星大如斗椀，赤色，尾長二丈，起心星南五丈，經積卒。九月，秦王符堅屠涼州，虜刺史張天錫，車騎桓沖，屯軍淮泗。）

The Shengqia Fu says: A falling star entering "Ji Zu" indicates that soldiers will be mobilized on a large scale, or that a general will die; another interpretation is that a close minister will be executed, and this will come to pass within two years. The twelve stars of Ji Zu are located south of the House of Fang, symbolizing soldiers gathered and ready to act. The original commentary notes: According to the Jin Yang Chou, in the first year of Taoyuan, on the fourth day of the third lunar month, a falling star appeared as large as a basin, red in color, with a tail two zhang long, rising from five zhang south of the House of Xin, passing over Ji Zu. That year in September, Fu Jian, the King of the Former Qin, attacked and destroyed Liangzhou, capturing Zhang Tianxi, the governor of Liangzhou; while Huan Chong, the Grand General of the Eastern Jin, stationed his troops along the Huai River and Si River.

齊伯曰：“流星入龜星，天下有水，珠玉貴；流星出之，天下大旱，五穀貴，期不出年。”郗萌曰：“流星出龜星，色青黑，所之國大水；赤黃，所之國大旱。”

Qi Bo said: A falling star entering the "turtle star" indicates that there will be water disasters throughout the world, and the prices of pearls and jade will rise sharply; if a falling star shoots out from the turtle star, there will be a great drought, and the prices of grain will soar, and this will come to pass within a year. The turtle star, along with its five planets, located south of the Tail mansion, presages divination and things related to water and marshes. Xi Meng said: If a falling star shoots out from the turtle star, and the star appears dark blue, the country it flies toward will experience great flooding; if the star appears red and yellow, the country it flies toward will suffer a severe drought.

《甄曜度》曰：“流星抵傅說，王者有子孫之憂；若出之，宮中有子孫之喜；期不出百八十日。”

The *Zhen Yaodu* says: If a shooting star collides with the "Fuyue" star, the sovereign will have worries concerning descendants; but if the shooting star originates from Fuyue, the palace will instead experience joy from adding a new member, and this will come to pass within 180 days. The Fuyue star is located after the Tail mansion, named after the virtuous minister Fuyue of the Yin High King. In star lore, it is considered to presage matters concerning descendants and the seeking of offspring.

《海中占》曰：“流星抵魚星，天下水，魚鹽貴；星若出之，天下旱，魚行人道。”

The Sea Divination says: A shooting star colliding with the Fish Star indicates that there will be water disasters throughout the world, with fish and salt prices soaring; if the shooting star originates from the Fish Star, there will be a great drought, with water sources drying up so much that fish will crawl onto the roads where people walk. The Fish Star is located beneath the Tail Mansion and in the middle of the Milky Way, indicating benefits from fish and other aquatic creatures as well as profits from fishing and salt.

《玄冥》曰：“流星入杵星，五穀大貴，其歲杵不用事。”

The Xuanming Divination says: A falling star enters the "Chu Star," and the prices of five grains will rise greatly. In that year, the Chu and Ju (mortar and pestle) will be of no use, meaning there will be no grain to pound. The Chu Star consists of three stars located south of the Ji Xu mansion, matching with the Ju Star, governing the process of pounding grain. Therefore, when a falling star interferes with it, the effect will be seen in the grain prices.

《文曜鉤》曰：“流生入鱉星，國有大水；色赤，出鱉，其國大旱。”郗萌曰：“大流星出鱉星，色青黑，為大水；赤黃，為大旱；視其所之，以命邑。”

The Wen Yao Gou says: A falling star entering the "Bie Star" indicates great flooding in the country; if the star is red and originates from the Bie Star, then the country will experience a severe drought. The Bie Star consists of fourteen stars located south of the Dou Star and in the middle of the Milky Way, governing the aquatic creatures with armor, so it specifically relates to floods and droughts. Xi Meng says: A large falling star originating from the Bie Star, if it is dark blue in color, indicates great flooding; if it is reddish-yellow, it indicates severe drought; one should observe the direction it flies towards and determine the affected city accordingly.

巫咸曰：“流星入九坎，有水旱之變；從南入，則大旱；從北入，則大水。”

Wu Xian said: A shooting star entering the Nine Pits indicates a change of drought or flood. If it enters from the south, it signifies a great drought; if it enters from the north, it signifies a great flood. The Nine Pits are nine stars located south of the constellation Niutou, symbolizing ditches, canals, and ponds, which are responsible for storing and releasing water, and irrigation of fields. Therefore, they specifically monitor the water and drought conditions of a particular region.

《帝覽嬉》曰：“流星入敗臼，天下有急發米粟之事，杵臼用，期一年。”

The "Imperial Inspection of Joy" says: A falling star entering the "Broken Mortar" portends that the country will have urgent requisitioning of grain, and the mortar and pestle will be used day and night to grind food, and this prediction will be fulfilled within a year. The four stars of the Broken Mortar are located south of the Emptiness Mansion and the Rooftop Mansion, and they pair with the pestle star, indicating matters related to grinding rice and transporting stored grain.

《黃帝占》曰：“流星入羽林，兵大起，士卒發用，將軍有出者；期三年。”石氏曰：“流星色赤，入大牢東，君起兵；入其西，太子起兵；入其北，諸侯起兵；出大牢，兵隨所之。流星色赤，入天軍之南，天子死；入其西，太子死；入其北，諸侯多死。流星色黃白，入天軍之西，天子立太子；入其中，天子立侯王，不則受賜。流星色白，入天軍之南，后憂疾；入其北，諸侯憂疾。”《春秋緯》曰：“使星出入羽林，兵起。”

The Yellow Emperor's Divination says: A falling star entering the 'Wulin' indicates great military action, with soldiers being conscripted and generals being sent out on campaigns, and this will be verified within three years. The Wulin consists of forty-five stars located south of Yingshi, and it represents the imperial guard, hence also called the heavenly army. The Shi school's Star Classic says: If a falling star is red and enters the east of Dalaog, the monarch will start a war; if it enters the west, the crown prince will start a war; if it enters the north, the feudal lords will start a war; if it shoots out from Dalaog, the direction of the military campaign will follow the direction of the falling star. If a falling star is red and enters the south of the heavenly army, the emperor will die; if it enters the west, the crown prince will die; if it enters the north, many feudal lords will die. If a falling star is yellow-white and enters the west of the heavenly army, the emperor will appoint a crown prince; if it enters the middle of the heavenly army, the emperor will grant titles to marquises and dukes, or someone will receive a reward. If a falling star is white and enters the south of the heavenly army, the empress will suffer illness or worry; if it enters the north, the feudal lords will suffer illness or worry. The Spring and Autumn Writings say: The star of officials entering and exiting the Wulin indicates the rise of military affairs.

石氏曰：“流星抵北落，天下有兵，北夷寇虜入塞，大將出，鈇鑕用，期百八十日，遠一年，若二年。”

The Shi school's Star Classic says: When a meteor collides with the star "Beiluo," there will be military conflicts throughout the land, with northern夷狄 invaders entering the border passes. A general will be dispatched on a campaign, and weapons such as axes and execution tools will be used. The event should occur within 180 days, or possibly one or two years. The star Beiluosimen is located south of the Yulin Army, and it represents the gate of the heavenly army, overseeing extraordinary events. Therefore, when a meteor strikes it, it indicates occurrences related to border raids and military campaigns.

《玉曆》曰：“流星抵土司空，其國有兵，土功起；若抵破司空，國有喪，期三年。”

The Yulu says: A shooting star colliding with "Tu Sikuang" indicates that a country will have military conflicts and construction projects; if the shooting star breaks Tu Sikuang, there will be calamities in the country, which will be fulfilled within three years. The star Tu Sikuang is located south of Kuixu, and it oversees construction projects and irrigation of farmland. Therefore, the divination text first mentions construction work.

石氏曰：“流星色赤，入天倉中，兵內起，其犯破，天倉旱，若火起，出天倉粟，以兵出。流星色黃白，入天倉中，歲飢；出入天倉，歲大飢，出谷。”甘氏曰：“流星入天倉，天下飢，谷散出，若發粟於民，有轉谷之事。”

The Shi school's Star Classic says: if a shooting star appears red and flies into the Heavenly Granary, there will be internal rebellion; if it breaks through the Heavenly Granary, that area will suffer from drought, or there will be a fire in the granary, and the grain stored inside will be transported out as military provisions. If a shooting star appears yellow-white and flies into the Heavenly Granary, there will be famine in that year; if it moves in and out of the Heavenly Granary, there will be great famine, and the granary will need to be opened to release grain. The six stars of the Heavenly Granary are located south of the Bond Mansion, representing granaries for storing grain. The Gan school's Star Classic says: if a shooting star flies into the Heavenly Granary, there will be famine throughout the country, and grain will be distributed to the people, or there will be transportation of grain by waterways for relief.

《聖洽符》曰：“流星入天囷，有兵起，谷當出，有軍糧之急；期百八二日，若一年。”

The Shengqia Fu says: A shooting star flying into the Heavenly Granery indicates that military actions will arise, and grain stored in the granary will be transported out, with military provisions becoming urgently needed. This omen will be fulfilled within one hundred eighty-two days or one year. The thirteen stars of the Heavenly Granery lie to the south of the Stomach Mansion, forming a circular granary, and together with the Heavenly Granary and Heavenly Storehouse, they govern the accumulation and storage of grain.

齊伯曰：“流星入天廩，其國大飢，五穀不成，人民飢死，米粟當有出廩者，期不出二年。”

Qi Bo said: A falling star entering the "Tian Lin" indicates that a country will suffer a great famine, with the five grains unable to mature. The people will starve to death, and the grain stored in the granaries must be released for relief. This will come to pass within two years. The four stars of Tian Lin are located south of the mansion of Maoshu, and they oversee the storage of the sacrificial rice used in worship. They also predict the abundance or scarcity of the harvest for the year.

《甄曜度》曰：“流星入天苑，有兵起，馬出行，若多死；一曰禽獸多死。”石氏曰：“流星色赤，入天苑中，牛馬多傷；出天苑中，牛馬多以兵事出者。流星色黃，入天苑中，牛馬野禽獸蕃息。流星色蒼白、黑，入天苑中，牛馬野禽獸多死；出天苑、牛馬以全出者。流星入天苑，馬之事出，天苑名馬出，幣入四足獸，有幣者。流星入天苑，名馬有入者；出天苑，名馬有出者。”

The *Zhen Yao Du* says: A falling star entering the "Tian Yuan" constellation indicates that military actions will arise, horses will be taken out and used, or there will be a large number of deaths; another interpretation is that many animals will die. The Tian Yuan constellation consists of sixteen stars located south of the Mao and Bi mansions, and it is the royal enclosure where the emperor keeps cattle, horses, and wild animals. The *Shi Shi Star Classic* states: If a falling star appears red and enters the Tian Yuan constellation, there will be many injuries to cattle and horses; if it exits from the Tian Yuan constellation, cattle and horses will be conscripted for military service. If a falling star appears yellow and enters the Tian Yuan constellation, cattle, horses, and wild animals will flourish. If a falling star appears pale, white, or black and enters the Tian Yuan constellation, there will be a large number of deaths among cattle, horses, and wild animals; but if it exits from the Tian Yuan constellation, cattle and horses can be safely taken out. When a falling star enters the Tian Yuan constellation, events related to horses will occur: famous horses from the enclosure will be taken out, and four-legged animals will be sent in as tribute, and some people will gain wealth. When a falling star enters the Tian Yuan constellation, it signifies the presentation of famous horses into the country; when a falling star exits from the Tian Yuan constellation, it signifies the sending of famous horses out of the country.

《海中占》曰：“流星入參旗，兵大起，弓弩用；流星出之，將軍出，兵士行，期二年。”郗萌曰：’使星出入天弓，匈奴兵起。”

The Sea Divination says: If a shooting star flies into "Cen Qi", great military actions will occur, and bows and arrows will be needed; if a shooting star shoots out from Cen Qi, the general will go on a campaign, and soldiers will be mobilized, and this will be verified within two years. Cen Qi consists of nine stars located to the west of Cen Xiu, also called Tian Gong, which governs the power of bows and arrows, and the surveillance of thieves and bandits. Xi Meng says: When the planet of authority enters or leaves Tian Gong, the Xiongnu will start military actions.

《黃帝占》曰：“流星入玉井中，皆為強國失地；出玉井，強國得地。”郗萌曰：“有大流星循伐以下入玉井中，不出其年，水與城等，以星小大退疾占之。”《玄冥》曰：“流星入玉井，國以水為憂；若疾，國失地；若出之，大水溢流，有溺死者，期不出二年。”《荊州占》曰：“流星出玉井，將出。”

The Yellow Emperor's Divination says: A falling star entering the 'Jade Well' portends a strong country losing its territory; if the falling star shoots out from the Jade Well, it signifies a strong country gaining territory. The four stars of the Jade Well are located beneath the left foot of the Three Stars mansion, and they are used to predict water levels, as they indicate the availability of water for cooking and food preparation. Xi Meng says: If a large falling star flies down into the Jade Well along the path of the Axe star, within this year, floods will rise as high as city walls; the extent and speed of the flood's rise and retreat can be judged by the size and speed of the falling star. The玄冥 Divination says: A falling star entering the Jade Well indicates the country will worry about water disasters; if the falling star comes swiftly, the country will also lose territory; if the falling star shoots out from the Jade Well, great floods will overflow, causing people to drown, and this will come to pass within two years. The Jingzhou Divination says: A falling star shooting out from the Jade Well signifies the commander will go on a military campaign.

《文曜鉤》曰：“流星入屏星，執法臣有戮死者，人民多疾；若有死，不出其年。”

The Wenyao Gou says: A shooting star flies into the "Ping Star," indicating that among the officials in charge of laws and decrees, some will be killed, and the people will suffer from many diseases; if there is death, it will come to pass within the year. The two stars of Ping Star are located south of the Ce Star, serving as a barrier to block off impurities. They share the same name as the group of Ping Stars within the Taimei Enclosure but are in different positions.

巫咸曰：“流星入廁星，天下大飢，人相食；一曰若大水，陷廁中，有謀兵。”

Wu Xian said: A shooting star entering the厕星 mansion will cause great famine across the land, leading to people eating each other; another account says that if a great flood submerges the厕星, there will be plots to start a military campaign. The厕星 consists of four stars located to the north of the屏星 and to the right of theThree Stars mansion, governing matters related to toilets and excrement. Star scholars use it to predict epidemics and famine.

石氏曰：“流星抵天矢，人民多疾，若多死，天下飢。流星色黃，吉；青白，多疾；黑，多飢。”

The Shi school's Star Classic says: When a shooting star collides with the star Tian Shuo, there will be many diseases among the people, or a large number of deaths, and famine will occur throughout the land. If the shooting star is yellow, it is auspicious; if it is green or white, there will be many diseases; if it is black, there will be much famine. The star Tian Shuo is located to the south of the star Cè Xīng, which is the gathering place of filth and corruption, so it specifically indicates epidemics and famine.

《玉曆》曰：“流星入軍市，兵大起，大將出，軍飢，絕糧，市散，期二年。”

The Yulu says: A falling star enters the "military market," and great military conflicts will arise, with generals leading campaigns. The army will suffer from hunger and hardship, the supply lines will be cut off, and the market will disperse. This will come to pass within two years. The military market consists of thirteen stars located in the southeast of the Three Stars mansion. It is the market where soldiers trade with each other, governing the supply and sustenance of the army.

甘氏曰：“流星入軍市，抵野雞，將離散，士卒死亡，先起兵者殃，期三年。”

The Gan school's Star Classic says: A shooting star flies into the military market, and collides with the 'Wild Chicken' star within it, causing the commander's troops to scatter and soldiers to die. The side that acts first will suffer misfortune, and this will come to pass within three years. The Wild Chicken star, located within the military market, presages the supply of wild food and also signifies military ambushes and vigilance.

《黃帝占》曰：“流星抵破狼星，秦國有殃，先起兵者亡，期一年，遠二年。”石氏曰：“流星抵狼星，其國兵大起，大將有千里之行，將軍有死者。”

The Huangdi Zhan says: A shooting star colliding and breaking through the 'Wang Star' indicates that the state of Qin will suffer calamity. The one who initiates military action first will perish. The effect will manifest within one year or two years depending on the distance. The Wang Star is located in the southeast of the East Well mansion, appears white with a sharp angle, and signifies invasion and plundering. Its territory corresponds to Qin. The Shi Shi Xing Jing says: When a shooting star collides with the Wang Star, the country will experience great military activity, with generals leading distant campaigns, and some generals will die in battle.

齊伯曰：“流星入弧星，天下兵起，諸侯相攻，弓弩用，車騎出；一曰弓矢貴，秦負兵，期不出百八十日，遠一年。”

Qi Bo said: A falling star enters the 'Hu Xing' constellation, indicating warfare across the land, with feudal lords attacking each other; bows and arrows will be used, and chariots and cavalry will be deployed to the battlefield. Another interpretation is that bows and arrows will become expensive, and the state of Qin will suffer from military calamities. The earliest occurrence will be within 180 days, and the farthest within a year. The Hu Shi nine stars are located to the southeast of the Wolf Star, forming the shape of a bow with an arrow drawn, the arrowhead facing the Wolf Star, indicating vigilance against thieves and alerts for unusual events.

司馬彪《天文志》曰：“光武建武十一年十二月已亥，大流星如缶，出柳西南行，入弧且滅，分為千餘，如遺火狀；須臾，有聲隱隱如雷。柳為周，弧為秦、蜀，大流星出柳入弧者，是大使從周入蜀。時光武使大司馬吳漢發南陽，三萬人乘船泝江而上，擊蜀成帝公孫述，又命將軍成等平武都邑郡。十二年二月，吳漢又擊述，大司馬謝豐斬首五千餘級，十一月丁丑、漢護軍高午刺述洞胸，其夜死；明日，漢入屠蜀城，誅述大將公孫晃等，所殺數萬人，滅述妻子、宗族萬餘人。”

In the "Astronomical Records" section of the "Continued Book of Han" by Sima Biao, it is recorded that on the 18th day of the 12th lunar month in the 11th year of Jianwu, there was a large meteor as big as a jar, which appeared from the constellation Liuxu and flew toward the southwest. As it approached the star Hu, it began to fade and then split into over a thousand fragments, resembling scattered malefic of violence. Shortly afterwards, a sound like distant thunder was heard. The territory corresponding to Liuxu is the Zhou region, and that corresponding to Hu is the Qin and Shu regions. The large meteor appearing from Liuxu and entering Hu symbolizes a great official sent from the Zhou region to enter Shu. At that time, Emperor Guangwu sent Grand Marshal Wu Han to mobilize 30,000 men from Nanyang to travel by boat upstream along the river to attack the state of Chengjia ruled by Gongsun Shu. He also ordered generals such as Cheng to pacify the prefectures and counties of Wudu and others. In the second month of the 12th year of Jianwu, Wu Han launched another attack on Gongsun Shu, cutting off the heads of over 5,000 of Chengjia's generals. On the 18th day of the 11th lunar month, Wu Han's military commander Gao Wu pierced Gongsun Shu's chest with one spear, and that night Gongsun Shu died. The next day, Wu Han entered the city and destroyed the capital of Shu, killing Gongsun Shu's generals such as Gongsun Huan, and killing several tens of thousands of people. Gongsun Shu's wife, children, and relatives totaling over ten thousand were also executed.

《荊州占》曰：“使星出入老人星，老人有疾憂。”《海中占》曰：“流星抵老人，天下多病，老人不安；一曰大兵起，老者行。”

The *Jingzhou Divination* says: When the star of officials appears and disappears with the "Star of the Elder," the elderly will suffer from illness and worries. The Star of the Elder is the Southern Star of the Old Man, located south of the constellation Hugusha, governing the longevity of the state and people. It has traditionally been observed at the southern suburbs on the day of the Autumn Equinox. The *Haizhong Divination* says: When a shooting star collides with the Star of the Elder, there will be many diseases throughout the country, and the elderly will not rest in peace; another account suggests that large-scale warfare will arise, and even the elderly will be conscripted for service.

《玄冥》曰：“流星入天稷，五穀散出，谷不熟，天下飢，人民流亡，去其鄉。”

The Xuanming Divination says: A shooting star entering the "Tian Ji" star mansion indicates that the five grains in the granary will be distributed, but the grain in the fields will not mature, leading to famine across the land, with people abandoning their homes. The Tian Ji five stars are located south of the Seven Stars mansion, governing agricultural affairs and harvests, and symbolizing the officials in charge of agriculture. Therefore, a shooting star entering this mansion specifically foretells the harvest of a single year.
