《南官侯》曰；“熒惑留翼，臣下淫佚；逆行色赤，失火；一曰大亂，臣亂朝延。”郗萌曰：“熒惑出入留舍翼，使者有急事，兵起，不用於外地；逆行之，不出九年，必有軍起，天下亡矣。”《甄曜度》曰：“熒惑守翼，王者微弱，臣不順命；若大人有病，天下有憂。”

The Southern Officials' Book says: When the Malefic of Violence stays in the Wings Mansion, ministers will be licentious and unrestrained; if it moves retrograde and appears red, there will be a fire; another interpretation says there will be great chaos and ministers will disrupt the court. Xi Meng says: When the Malefic of Violence enters, stays, or halts in the Wings Mansion, envoys will carry urgent matters and military affairs will arise, but they will not involve foreign lands; if it moves retrograde, within no more than nine years, there will certainly be military actions, and the whole world will follow in ruin. The Book of Brightness and Measure says: When the Malefic of Violence guards the Wings Mansion, the sovereign will be weak and feeble, and ministers will not obey orders; or the Nobleman will be ill, and the world will have worries.

《孝經章句》曰：“熒惑守翼，先水後旱，布縷大貴，人病頭首，雨澤不時。”石氏曰：“熒惑守翼，若大旱，魚鹽五穀貴，萬物不成。熒惑守翼，天下修兵。”甘氏曰：“熒惑守翼，王者軟弱，臣不從令；忠心奉天，則熒惑退。”郗萌曰：“熒惑守翼，為反臣中外兵；以德令解，謂赦令也。”

The "Commentary on the Classic of Filial Piety" states: When the Malefic of violence is in the Wings mansion, there will first be floods and then droughts, the prices of cloth and silk will rise sharply, many people will suffer from head diseases, and rain will not fall according to the seasons. The Shi school says: When the Malefic of violence is in the Wings mansion, there will be a great drought, the prices of fish, salt, and five grains will be high, and all things will not mature. When the Malefic of violence is in the Wings mansion, the whole world will be preparing for war. The Gan school says: When the Malefic of violence is in the Wings mansion, the king will be weak, and the ministers will not obey the orders. If the king governs with sincerity and follows the heavenly way, the Malefic of violence will retreat. Xi Meng says: When the Malefic of violence is in the Wings mansion, there will be rebellious ministers within and outside the court who will start wars. This can be resolved by using the virtue of pardon, which refers to the decree of pardon.

陳卓曰：“熒惑守翼，川谷不通，多資賊，人民相惡。”《玉曆》曰：“熒惑守翼，有急事，若大風。”《南官侯》曰：“熒惑守翼，歲飢，民流千里，有亡國；穀貴，蛇龍見。熒惑守翼，佞臣亂政，其歲多風雨，車騎聚，天下大飢。熒惑以十月守翼五十日，甲兵卒車騎軍屯輕將行五十日而罷；卒有功而錫金者。”

Chen Zhuo said: The Malefic of Violence stays in the Wings Mansion, causing rivers and valleys' waterways to be blocked, thieves and bandits to grow in number, and people to hate each other. The Jade Calendar says: When the Malefic of Violence stays in the Wings Mansion, there will be urgent matters, or a great wind will arise. The Southern Officials' Manual says: When the Malefic of Violence stays in the Wings Mansion, there will be a year of famine, people will flee for a thousand li, and there will be a country's downfall; grain prices will soar, and strange creatures like snakes and dragons will appear. When the Malefic of Violence stays in the Wings Mansion, corrupt ministers will disrupt the court, there will be much wind and rain in that year, chariots and cavalry will gather, and the whole world will suffer a great famine. If the Malefic of Violence stays in the Wings Mansion for fifty days in the tenth month, the soldiers and troops of the甲 class will gather, light-armed generals will lead their forces for fifty days and then disband; among the soldiers, some will be rewarded with gold and silk for their meritorious deeds.

《百二十占》曰：“熒惑守翼，大旱，色赤，亂且至，人民流；一曰有海國客獻神鳥也。”《感精符》曰：“熒惑逆行守翼，邪臣為亂，忠臣不立，不出其年，兵大起，王者憂也。”《文曜鉤》曰：“熒惑犯翼，若守之，天下大亂，車騎無極，大兵起，四海匈匈，然於無命。”

The "One Hundred and Twenty Divinations" states: When the Malefic of Violence occupies the Wings Mansion, there will be a great drought; if its color appears red, turmoil is about to come, with people wandering and displaced; another account says that there will be envoys from a distant land presenting a divine bird. The "Inspiration of the Divine Symbol" states: When the Malefic of Violence moves retrograde and occupies the Wings Mansion, wicked ministers will cause disorder, loyal ministers will be unable to stand firm, the prophecy will not be fulfilled in the same year, and great military conflicts will arise, causing the king to worry. The "Hook of the Bright Stars" states: When the Malefic of Violence invades or occupies the Wings Mansion, great chaos will occur throughout the land, with carriages, horses, soldiers, and cavalry constantly moving, large armies will rise, and the entire world will be in turmoil, to the point where it will be impossible to preserve one's life.

《春秋緯》曰：“熒惑入軫中，兵大起。”石氏曰：“熒惑入軫中四月，楚主死，入旬，相死；不死，出走。”甘氏曰：“熒惑入軫，有負海客。”巫咸曰：“熒惑入軫中，伺其出日而數之，期二十日，皆為兵發，伺始入處之率；一日期十日軍罷。”郗萌曰：“熒惑入軫，大水，田宅貴；若車貴。”陳卓曰：“熒惑入軫，國有大喪；若將軍死。”

The Chariot Mansion is the last of the seven southern constellations of the Vermilion Bird. Its corresponding territory is the state of Chu in the region of Jingzhou, and it governs matters concerning carriages, cavalry, winds, and death. The "Spring Orbit" says: When the Malefic of Violence (Mars) enters the Chariot Mansion, great military actions will arise. The Shi school says: When the Malefic of Violence enters the Chariot Mansion for four months, the ruler of Chu will die; if it enters for ten days, the prime minister will die; even if they do not die, they must flee. The Gan school says: When the Malefic of Violence enters the Chariot Mansion, there will be visitors from coastal regions. Wu Xian says: When the Malefic of Violence enters the Chariot Mansion, one should wait for the day it leaves to calculate the expected time, which is twenty days, and at that time, military actions will be launched; also, according to the proportion of the initial entry, if it stays for one day, the expected time is ten days, and at that time, the army will disband. Xi Meng says: When the Malefic of Violence enters the Chariot Mansion, there will be great floods, and the prices of fields, houses, and carriages will rise. Chen Zhuo says: When the Malefic of Violence enters the Chariot Mansion, there will be great mourning in the country; or a general will die.

《南官侯》曰：“熒惑入軫、兵益；水旱為害，人民擾動，妖言無實，國政數改，士卒勞苦。”石氏曰：“熒惑出軫南，民多病；出其北，民多死。”郗萌曰：“熒惑出軫陰，兵出軫陽；乍西乍東，遠去之遊，其國小憂；去而復還，其國大憂，近期一年，中期二年，遠期三年，熒惑行軫左，負海有殃；行軫右，中國有殃。”

The Southern Officials' Records state: When the Malefic of violence enters the Chariot mansion, military conflicts increase; drought and flood cause harm, the people become restless and uneasy, false rumors spread without foundation, and the state's decrees are frequently changed. Soldiers suffer much hardship. The Shi school says: When the Malefic of violence emerges from the southern side of the Chariot mansion, the people suffer many illnesses; when it emerges from the northern side, the people suffer many deaths. Xi Meng says: When the Malefic of violence exits from the yin path of the Chariot mansion, military conflicts arise from the yang path of the Chariot mansion; if it moves west and east, wandering far away, the country corresponding to that region will have some troubles; if it leaves and then returns, that country will have great troubles. The troubles will manifest within a year, in the middle case within two years, and in the far case within three years. When the Malefic of violence moves to the left side of the Chariot mansion, coastal areas suffer; when it moves to the right side, the central plains country suffers.

石氏曰：“熒惑逆行軫，失火。”《文曜鉤》曰：“熒惑逆行至軫，名曰逕天，其下之國，當有敗者，大將有憂，士卒擾動，人民苦役，多有死者。”郗萌曰：“熒惑守角間若至軫，道絕不通；出其南，多病；出北，多死；出其陰，陰伐利，戰勝取將；出其陽，陽伐利，戰勝取將。”

The Shi school says: When the Malefic of violence moves retrograde to the Chariot mansion, there will be fire. The Wen Yao Gou says: When the Malefic of violence moves retrograde to the Chariot mansion, this is called "passing through the sky." The country corresponding to the area it illuminates will suffer defeat, generals will be in distress, soldiers will be restless, common people will be burdened by labor, and many will die. Xi Meng says: When the Malefic of violence stays between the Horn mansion or moves to the Chariot mansion, roads will be cut off and communication will be interrupted; if it comes from the south, there will be many diseases; if it comes from the north, there will be many deaths; if it comes from the Yin path, the Yin side will have favorable military campaigns and will be able to defeat the enemy and capture their generals; if it comes from the Yang path, the Yang side will have favorable military campaigns and will also be able to defeat the enemy and capture their generals.

《河圖》曰：“熒惑在軫，不可為人客；為人客者有殃，罰當死。”石氏曰：“熒惑與軫合而並光，主必亡。”巫咸曰：“熒惑守軫，旱；川枯不通，國多火災，萬物五穀不成。”郗萌曰：“熒惑與軫斗，諸侯當有奪地者。”《黃帝占》曰：“熒惑以十月軫三十日，車騎發，其居軫中也；天下盡給軍事，無得居家者。”

The Yellow River Chart says: When the Malefic of violence is in the Chariot mansion, it is not advisable to send an expeditionary force to attack others; the side that is the guest army will suffer calamity, be punished, and even die. The Shi school says: When the Malefic of violence combines with the Chariot mansion and their light merges together, the sovereign will certainly perish. Wu Xian says: When the Malefic of violence stays in the Chariot mansion, there will be drought; rivers and streams will dry up and become impassable, and there will be many fires in the country, with all things and the five grains failing to mature. Xi Meng says: When the Malefic of violence contends with the Chariot mansion, among the feudal lords there will be those who lose their lands. The Yellow Emperor's Divination says: When the Malefic of violence moves to the Chariot mansion in the tenth month and stays there for thirty days, chariots and cavalry will be deployed; if it remains in the Chariot mansion, all people in the world will have to provide military supplies and none will be able to live at home in peace.

《春秋圖》曰：“熒惑守軫，繞環及已去復還，守之成勾巳，天下兵潰，主起命惡之；大臣欲謀其君，大人有憂，不出年。”石氏曰：“熒惑守軫，青絳帛枲,其物皆貴，其國有兵之災。”石氏曰：“熒惑守軫，有兵，天子車駕凶；若有病，若大臣戮死。”

The Spring and Autumn Diagram says: When the Malefic of violence stays at the Chariot mansion, moves around once, then departs and returns, forming a curved shape, there will be the collapse of the armies throughout the land, and the ruler's fate is considered an ominous sign. Ministers intend to plot against the ruler, the Nobleman suffers worry, and the prophecy does not come true in the same year. The Shi school says: When the Malefic of violence stays at the Chariot mansion, silk and hemp will become expensive, and the country corresponding to that region will suffer from military calamity. The Shi school also says: When the Malefic of violence stays at the Chariot mansion, there will be military affairs, and the emperor's chariot will face danger; or there will be illness, or a minister will be killed.

郗萌曰：“熒惑守軫，兵戰將有功；期不出三年。熒惑守軫，為反臣中外兵，以德令解，謂赦令也；一曰水。”《荊州占》曰：“熒惑守軫，將軍大敗。”《河圖》曰：“熒惑入軫，若守之，其國有喪，將軍為亂，兵草大起，人主惡之，必有亡國，期不出二年；王者以赦除占，則災消。”《南官侯》曰：“熒惑干犯軫，大臣戮死。”

Xi Meng said: The Malefic of violence guards the Chariot mansion, armies fight, generals will have great achievements; this omen will be verified within three years. The Malefic of violence guarding the Chariot mansion indicates there will be a rebellious minister who will mobilize troops both inside and outside the court; this can be resolved by using a decree of mercy, which refers to an amnesty decree. Another interpretation suggests it indicates water disaster. The "Jingzhou Divination" says: The Malefic of violence guards the Chariot mansion, the general suffers a great defeat. The "Yellow River Chart" says: If the Malefic of violence enters the Chariot mansion or guards it, the country corresponding to that region will have mourning, the general will rebel, and there will be a great outbreak of military forces; the ruler will regard this as an evil omen, and certainly there will be the downfall of the state; this omen will be verified within two years; if the king uses amnesty policies to eliminate this omen, the disaster will be dispelled. The "Nan Gao Hou" says: The Malefic of violence conflicts with the Chariot mansion, ministers will be killed and die.

《洛書》曰：“熒惑入攝提，鉤巳，帝必亡。”《百二十占》曰：“熒惑入攝提，兵聚一國；若大臣有誅，人主憂；期百八十日。”巫咸曰：“熒惑入，若犯攝提，坐大臣，成刑。”石氏曰：“熒惑出，若入攝提，大臣誅，兵滿野。”《黃帝占》曰：“熒惑與攝提合，相走去。”郗萌曰：“熒惑守左攝提，左校兵作；右攝提，右校兵作。”

The six stars of the摄提 are located on either side of the large angle, belonging to the Shi school's central official constellation. They symbolize the establishment of the correct season and the control over all officials, representing the image of inspecting and correcting the officials. The Luo Writing states: When the Malefic of violence (Flame of Chaos) enters the摄提, it moves back and forth forming a winding shape, and the emperor will surely perish. The "One Hundred and Twenty Divinations" say: When the Malefic of violence enters the摄提, armies gather within the country; or there will be ministers executed, and the sovereign will have worries; the period of occurrence is one hundred and eighty days. Wu Xian says: When the Malefic of violence enters or invades the摄提, ministers will be punished for their crimes, eventually leading to punishment. The Shi school says: When the Malefic of violence rises from or enters the摄提, ministers will be executed, and armies will be stationed in the outskirts. The Yellow Emperor's Divination says: When the Malefic of violence combines with the摄提, the prime minister will leave his position. Xi Meng says: When the Malefic of violence guards the left摄提, the left military unit will rebel; when it guards the right摄提, the right military unit will rebel.

郗萌曰：“熒惑舍大角東、西，必有立侯。”《海中占》曰：“熒惑守大角，臣謀主者有兵起急，人主憂；王者誡慎左右，期不出百八十日，遠一年。”郗萌曰：“熒惑守大角，有亡國；一曰守三日，天下大哭。”《玄冥》曰：“熒惑犯守大角，臣謀君，子謀父，天下兵起，王者惡之，若有大喪，近期一年，中二年，遠三年。”

A single star of the Big Dipper is located between the two Captains, which is the seat of the Heavenly King, symbolizing the emperor. Xi Meng said: When the Malefic of violence stops at the east or west of the Big Dipper, there will certainly be the appointment of princes. The Sea Divination says: When the Malefic of violence guards the Big Dipper, there will be ministers plotting against the sovereign, and urgent military conflicts will arise, causing the sovereign distress; the king should be cautious and vigilant about his close attendants, and this prediction will come true within 180 days, or up to a year. Xi Meng also said: When the Malefic of violence guards the Big Dipper, there will be the downfall of the state; another view is that it will last three days, with the whole world mourning and weeping. The玄冥 says: When the Malefic of violence invades and guards the Big Dipper, ministers will plot against the sovereign, sons will plot against their fathers, and armies will be raised throughout the land; the sovereign will regard this as an ominous sign, or there will be a great mourning, with the event occurring within a year, or two years, or up to three years.

巫咸曰：“熒惑犯守梗河、國有謀兵，四夷兵起，來侵中國，邊境有憂。”

The three stars of Genghe are located north of the Big Dipper's handle, symbolizing the heavenly weapon of contradiction, governing matters of Hu troops and military losses. Wu Xian said: When the Malefic of violence (Fenghuo) invades and occupies Genghe, there will be people within the country plotting to raise troops, while the four surrounding barbarian tribes will mobilize their armies to attack the Central Plains, causing anxiety at the borders.

《聖洽符》曰：“熒惑犯招搖，邊兵大起，敵人為寇；若守之，敵人敗，若敵主死，不出二年。”《荊州占》曰：“熒惑入犯招搖，回紇兵起，侵犯中國，若防守之，兵自退，主其國有憂，期三年。”又占曰：“熒惑入若守招搖，旗幟起。”又占曰：“熒惑守歷招搖星者，遠夷有內相殺者，若邊將有不請於上，而誅夷狄者。”

A star called Zhao Yao is located north of Geng He, and it presages the arrival of Hu troops. It is a star in the heavens specifically governing military affairs. The "Sheng Qia Fu" says: When the Malefic of violence invades Zhao Yao, there will be a great outbreak of military action at the borders, with enemies coming to invade; if the Malefic of violence stays there, the enemy will retreat, or the ruler of the enemy country will die, and this prediction will come true within two years. The "Jingzhou Zhuan" says: When the Malefic of violence enters and invades Zhao Yao, the Huie people will raise troops and invade the Central Plains; if we can strictly defend, the enemy troops will retreat on their own, but the country corresponding to that area will suffer calamity, and this prediction will come true within three years. Another divination says: When the Malefic of violence enters or stays at Zhao Yao, there will be military mobilization and raising of banners. Another divination says: When the Malefic of violence stays and passes through Zhao Yao, there will be mutual killing among distant barbarians, or border generals will attack the barbarians without first consulting the imperial court.

《春秋緯》曰：“熒惑守戈之陽，以左右占其方；合則主居媵客，天下有議，女令橫行。”石氏曰：“熒惑守玄戈，亂於邑。”《春秋緯》曰：“熒惑逆行守玄戈，以妾為妻。”《聖洽符》曰：“熒惑犯守玄戈，邊兵大起，敵人為患；若守之，敵人敗，若敵王死，期不出二年。”

A star called Xuan Ge appears north of Zhao Yao, indicating events involving the Hu people and border affairs. The "Spring Annals Wei" states: When the Malefic of Violence guards the south of Xuan Ge, one should determine the direction by whether it is biased to the left or right; if Xuan Ge and the Malefic of Violence are combined, the ruler will be in the position of a concubine's companion, and there will be widespread gossip, with women taking command and acting without restraint. The Shi school says: When the Malefic of Violence guards Xuan Ge, there will be disturbances within cities. The "Spring Annals Wei" also says: When the Malefic of Violence逆行 (moves retrograde) and guards Xuan Ge, there will be cases of taking a concubine as a wife and the reversal of the嫡庶 (proper and secondary) order. The "Sheng Qie Fu" says: When the Malefic of Violence invades and guards Xuan Ge, there will be major military actions on the borders, with enemies becoming a disaster; if the Malefic of Violence stays there, the enemy will be defeated, or the enemy's king will die, and this will be verified within two years.

巫咸曰：“熒惑守天槍，邊夷兵起、機槍大用，防戍有憂，若誅邊臣，期不出年。”《荊州占》曰：“熒惑守天槍，多梟民；一曰鈇大鉞用。”

The three stars of Tian Qiang are located to the east of the end of the Big Dipper's handle, representing heavenly weapons, indicating matters related to defending the borders and repelling invaders. Wu Xian said: When the Malefic of violence (Feng Huo) stays at Tian Qiang, there will be military actions by the barbarians in the border regions, with the extensive use of crossbows and long spears, causing concern about border defense, or possibly leading to the execution of border officials, and this prediction did not come true in the same year. The "Jingzhou Divination" states: When the Malefic of violence stays at Tian Qiang, there will be many fierce and lawless people; another interpretation suggests that weapons such as iron axes and large钺 (a type of weapon) will be used for punishment.

《黃帝占》曰：“熒惑犯天棓，兵四起。”巫咸曰：“熒惑犯天棓，邊夷兵起，機槍大用、防戍有憂、若誅邊臣，期不出年。”

The five stars of Tian Bang are located north of Nu Cang, also representing heavenly weapons, such as clubs, symbolizing the suppression of enemies and defense against unexpected threats. The Yellow Emperor's Divination states: When the Malefic of Violence invades Tian Bang, military actions will arise simultaneously in all four directions. Wu Xian says: When the Malefic of Violence invades Tian Bang, the border regions will see rebellions by barbarian tribes, with the widespread use of crossbows and long spears, causing concern over border defense duties. There may also be the execution of officials guarding the borders, but the prophecy will not come true in the same year.

《荊州占》曰：“熒惑犯床，凶。又曰：熒惑守女床、後宮奸謀。”甘氏曰：“熒惑犯守女床，兵起宮中；若妃后有暴誅者，期百八十日，遠一年。”

The three stars of Nu Cang are located to the northeast of Tian Ji Xing, indicating positions of concubines and palace women. The "Jingzhou Divination" states that if the Malefic of violence invades Nu Cang, it portends misfortune. It also says that if the Malefic of violence guards Nu Cang, there will be plots of treachery within the palace. The Gan school says that if the Malefic of violence invades and guards Nu Cang, there will be a military disturbance within the palace; or there will be sudden execution of concubines or empresses. The time for this event is one hundred and eighty days, or possibly a year.

石氏曰：“熒惑犯七公，群臣有疑議。”《黃帝占》曰：“熒惑守七公，為民飢，君子安。”石氏曰：“熒惑守七公，有亂疾之事。”石氏曰：“熒惑犯七公，輔臣有議，臣相疑；若有誅者，人主有憂。”《玄冥占》曰：“熒惑犯守七公，天下亂，有兵起，大臣當，國有憂。”

Seven officials and seven stars are located to the east of Zhao Yao, symbolizing the seven ministers assisting the sovereign. They presage discussions on state affairs and rectifying mistakes. The Shi school says: If the Malefic of violence invades Seven Officials, there will be disputes among ministers. The Yellow Emperor's Divination states: If the Malefic of violence guards Seven Officials, it indicates famine among the people, but the virtuous rulers remain unharmed. The Shi school also says: If the Malefic of violence guards Seven Officials, there will be disturbances and epidemics. The Shi school further says: If the Malefic of violence invades Seven Officials, the ministers in charge will have conflicting opinions, and ministers will suspect each other; if one is executed, the sovereign will also face worries. The Xuan Ming Divination states: If the Malefic of violence invades and guards Seven Officials, the country will experience turmoil and military actions will arise, with the ministers bearing the calamity, and the state will face worries.

石氏曰：“熒惑入天牢中，犯乘守者，以獄為亂，多不平。”《荊州占》曰：“熒惑入天牢，天下有賊。又占曰：熒惑入天牢，大水、期一年；一曰旱、期一年；一曰歲飢、人相食。”《黃帝占》曰：“熒惑入天牢，赦；其守天牢二十日，赦；以丑未日侯之。”

The nine stars of Guansuo are also called Tianlao, located in front of Qigong. They presage matters related to prisons and incarceration. The Shi school says: When the Malefic of violence enters Tianlao, it invades, dominates, and stays there, indicating disturbances caused by prison affairs and unjust judgments. The "Jingzhou Divination" says: When the Malefic of violence enters Tianlao, there will be bandits in the country. Another divination says: When the Malefic of violence enters Tianlao, there will be a great flood, occurring within a year; another says there will be drought, occurring within a year; yet another says there will be famine that year, leading to cannibalism. The "Yellow Emperor's Divination" says: When the Malefic of violence enters Tianlao, there will be pardons; if it stays in Tianlao for twenty days, there will also be pardons; the verification should be done on the days of Chou and Wei.

《荊州占》曰：“熒惑舍貫索，有國滅，無後。又占曰：熒惑干貫索，天下赦；守二十日，小赦；三十日，大赦。”《洛書》曰：“熒惑守天牢，獄冤囚多。”《荊州占》曰：“熒惑守天牢，名水有絕者，若大魚死。又占曰：熒惑守天牢十月，大赦，遠期八十日。”巫咸曰：“熒惑守貫索，天下亂，兵大起，多有獄事，人有死者。”

The *Jingzhou Divination* says: When the Malefic of violence stays in Guansuo, there will be the downfall of a country without descendants. Another divination says: When the Malefic of violence conflicts with Guansuo, the whole world will have amnesty; if it remains for twenty days, there will be a minor amnesty; if it remains for thirty days, there will be a major amnesty. The *Luo Writing* says: When the Malefic of violence stays in Tianlao, there are many innocent prisoners in the prisons. The *Jingzhou Divination* says: When the Malefic of violence stays in Tianlao, there will be the drying up of great rivers or the death of large fish. Another divination says: When the Malefic of violence stays in Tianlao in the tenth lunar month, there will be a major amnesty, and the effect will be seen after eighty days. Wu Xian says: When the Malefic of violence stays in Guansuo, there will be turmoil throughout the land, great military conflicts, many lawsuits in the courts, and some people will die because of it.
