《黃帝占》曰：“有星入郎將，色青黑，嗇夫不死則免；黃則遷，白則受賜。”《荊州占》曰：“有星入郎將，大臣亂，政不行。”石氏曰：“客星守郎將，大臣為亂。”

The Yellow Emperor's Divination says: if a star enters the position of 'Langjiang', and the star is dark green, then the local 'Sefu' and similar minor officials will either die or be dismissed from office; if the star is yellow, they will be promoted; if the star is white, they will receive rewards. The star of Langjiang is located to the north of the Lang position, and it is the position of a military officer who commands all the Lang officials. The荆州 Divination says: if a star enters Langjiang, ministers will rebel, and the government orders will not be carried out. The Shi school says: a guest star remaining in the position of Langjiang indicates that ministers will rise up in rebellion.

甘氏曰：“客星出郎將，輔臣有誅，將相有罪，若有黜者，期一年。”甘氏曰：“客星入犯守郎將，將誅。”

The Gan school says: When the guest star appears at the position of the commander, among the ministers assisting in government there will be those who are executed, ministers and generals will be guilty of crimes, or some will be dismissed. The fulfillment of this omen will occur within a year. The Gan school says: When the guest star enters, confronts, and stays at the position of the commander, the general in command will be executed.

石氏曰：“他星犯常陳，王者誅之，近期百八十日，遠期三年。”《聖洽符》曰：“客星出常陳，守衛者有誅，若左右兵起，王者有憂，期不出年。”

The Shi school says: If other variable stars collide with 'Chang Chen', the king should carry out executions. The effect will be seen within 180 days if it is near, or within three years if it is far. 'Chang Chen' consists of seven stars located to the north of the Imperial Seat, appearing like the bodyguard of the Son of Heaven, governing the palace guards. The 'Sheng Qia Fu' says: If a guest star appears in 'Chang Chen', there will be executions among those who serve as palace guards, or there will be a coup within the king's court, causing the king to have worries. The effect will not be seen in the same year.

石氏曰：“黃白星入三能，貴人有賜爵者；蒼星出三能，貴人奪爵。”（按司馬彪《天文志》曰：孝安永安四年六月甲子，客星大如李，蒼白芒，氣長二尺，西南指上階，星降，太尉張瑀、司空張敏，皆免官也。）

The Shi school says: stars of yellow and white color entering the "San Neng" indicate that among the noblemen, some will be granted titles; stars of green color leaving the "San Neng" indicate that among the noblemen, some will lose their titles. "San Neng" refers to the Star of Ranks, which consists of six stars arranged in pairs. The upper star is the Director of Destiny, the middle star is the Director of Middle, and the lower star is the Director of Rank, symbolizing the Three Grand Ministers. The celestial phenomenon descended, and subsequently, the Grand Minister Zhang Yu and the Minister of Works Zhang Min were both dismissed from office.)

郄萌曰：“有星出三能，爵令行。”郄萌曰：“客星舍三能，左右群臣有不正者，露當降也。”郄萌曰：“客星舍三能，留十餘日不去，王侯有不通者，深渠，當修城郭，決此，三臺之過也。”

Xie Meng said: When a star appears from SanTai, the decree of granting titles will be carried out. Xie Meng said: When the guest star stays at SanTai, there are ministers in the court of the ruler who behave improperly, and their misconduct will soon be exposed. Xie Meng said: When the guest star stays at SanTai, it lingers for more than ten days without leaving, there is a blockage among the princes and marquises, at this time one should dig ditches and repair city walls, and decide and complete these matters; if they cannot be completed, it is the fault of the officials of SanTai.

《黃帝占》曰：“客星入三臺，若守之，大臣多戮，若貴人多病瘧死者。”《帝覽嬉》曰：“客星出三臺，若守之，主誅大臣，貴人有死者，不出百八十日。”郄萌曰：“客星守天柱，大人戒左右，趣治兵弩。”郄萌曰：“他星犯守三臺，有兵喪；一曰：水為災害。”

The Huangdi Zhan says: A guest star entering the Three Ranks or staying there, will result in many ministers being killed, or many noblemen dying from malaria. The Di Lian Xi says: A guest star appearing in the Three Ranks or staying there, the sovereign will execute ministers, and some noblemen will die, within 180 days. Xie Meng says: A guest star stopping at the Tian Zhu, which is also known as the Three Ranks area, the sovereign should be alert to his attendants and quickly prepare weapons and bows and arrows. Xie Meng also says: Other abnormal stars conflicting and stopping at the Three Ranks will bring about military conflicts and deaths; another interpretation is that water will cause disasters.

石氏曰：“有星入司命，色蒼，民憂喪事；白潤澤，婦女多傷；黑，嬰兒死。”甘氏曰：“有星入司命，近臣抵罪者。色青，有憂；黃白，無故；黑，死。”石氏曰：“蒼星出司命，王者病死。”甘氏曰：“青若黑星入司命中，奸人有出者。”

The Shi school says: When a star enters the "Director of Destiny," if the star is green, the people will worry about funerals; if the star is white and moist, many women will suffer casualties; if the star is black, infants will die young. The Director of Destiny is the second star of the Star of Ranks, which governs lifespan. The Gan school says: When a star enters the Director of Destiny, there will be officials among the close attendants who will be punished; if the star is green, there will be calamity; if the star is yellow or white, there will be peace and safety; if the star is black, it indicates death. The Shi school says: A green star appearing in the Director of Destiny indicates the king will die from illness. The Gan school says: If a green or black star enters the Director of Destiny, there will be wicked people fleeing.

石氏曰：“有星入司祿，大臣爭榮。”甘氏曰：“有星入司祿，色黃若白，近臣有易爵者；出司祿，色青，近臣有抵罪而走者；黑，則死。”

The Shi school says: When a star enters the "Master of Rank," there will be competition among ministers for honor and favor. The Master of Rank is the second star of the lower part of the Three Thrones, which governs titles and rewards. The Gan school says: When a star enters the Master of Rank, if the star is yellow or white in color, there will be changes in the ranks of court attendants; if the star leaves the Master of Rank with a green color, there will be court attendants who are punished and flee; if the star is black in color, it is a sign of death.

陳卓曰：“客星干犯相星，輔相憂，不出一年，天下變更其令，民多移徙。”

Chen Zhuo said: A guest star conflicting with the 'Xiang Star' indicates that the chancellor assisting the monarch will face troubles. This will not take more than a year, and the empire will change its policies, with many people migrating and moving about. The Xiang Star is located south of the Big Dipper and below the Wen Chang Star, representing the position of the chancellor, who oversees all officials. Therefore, any change in this star will manifest in the chancellor and the imperial decrees.

《黃帝占》曰：“有星入天牢，斧鑕用，諸侯有獻地者；出天牢，王賜諸侯地；色青，皆以兵；黃白，皆以好；一曰：星出南，為獻地。”《海中占》曰：“客星入天獄，有德令。”郄萌曰：“有大星入天牢，有赦，期二十日。”

The Huangdi Zhàn says: If a star enters the Heavenly Prison, the instrument for beheading will be used, and among the feudal lords there will be those who offer land. When the star leaves the Heavenly Prison, the king will grant land to the feudal lords. If the star is green, it is due to military affairs; if the star is yellow or white, it is due to friendly relations. Another account says that if the star exits from the south, it indicates the offering of land. The six stars of the Heavenly Prison are located below the北斗's handle and oversee the prison for holding noblemen. The Hai Zhong Zhàn says: If a guest star enters the Heavenly Prison, there will be an edict of benevolence. Xie Meng says: If a large star enters the Heavenly Prison, it indicates an amnesty, lasting twenty days.

郄萌曰：“客星入天牢，必有戮卿。”《荊州占》曰：“客星入天牢，貴人有繫者，有戮君。”《荊州占》曰：“客星入天牢，其國得邑土；出天牢，為亡邑土也。”石氏曰：“有奇星守天牢二十日已上，天下大赦。”

Xie Meng said: A guest star entering the Heavenly Prison certainly indicates that a high official will be executed. The "Jingzhou Divination" says: When a guest star enters the Heavenly Prison, there will be noblemen who are imprisoned and also princes who are killed. The "Jingzhou Divination" also says: When a guest star enters the Heavenly Prison, the country corresponding to that division will gain a city and territory; when the guest star leaves the Heavenly Prison, that country will lose a city and territory. The Shi school says: If an abnormal star remains in the Heavenly Prison for more than twenty days, the whole country will issue a great amnesty.

石氏曰：“客星守天牢，一年，大魚死；一曰：人相食。”《荊州占》曰：“客星守天牢，鈇鑕用，以其初守日占國。”巫咸曰：“客星出天牢，若守之，有貴臣多下獄者，期不出一年。”郄萌曰：“常以五子日候天牢，中有變星，期不出十日，赦。”

The Shi school says: When a guest star stops and stays in the Heavenly Prison, within a year, large fish will die; another view is that people will eat each other. The "Jingzhou Divination" says: When a guest star stops and stays in the Heavenly Prison, the instruments for beheading will be used, and according to the stem and branch of the day when the guest star begins to stay, it can be determined which country it will affect. Wu Xian says: When a guest star appears in or stays in the Heavenly Prison, there will be many high officials imprisoned, and this will not be verified within a year. Xie Meng says: Normally, on the five Zi days of Jiazi, Bingzi, Wuzi, Gengzi, and Renzi, one should observe the Heavenly Prison. If a star of change appears among them, a pardon will be issued within ten days.

石氏曰：“客星干犯文昌，則附臣受殃，近期三年，遠期六年。”韓楊曰：“客星入文昌，有女子惑天子者。”《文曜鉤》曰：“客星出文昌，其國失政，人主有憂，臣受其殃。”石氏曰：“客星出文昌，其國失君政。”石氏曰：“客星守文昌，有兵，君不安。”

The Shi school says: A guest star conflicting with the Star of Examinations and Documents indicates that a close minister to the sovereign will suffer misfortune. The effect will be evident within three years if it is near, and within six years if it is distant. The six stars of the Star of Examinations and Documents are located before the handle of the Big Dipper, forming a shape like a half-moon. They are the heavenly six ministries, governing the roles of Grand General, Deputy General, High Minister, Director of Officials, Director of Destiny, and Minister of Justice. Han Yang says: When a guest star enters the Star of Examinations and Documents, a woman will bewilder the sovereign. The Wenyaogou says: When a guest star appears in the Star of Examinations and Documents, the state corresponding to that region will experience disorder in its governance, the sovereign will have worries, and the ministers will suffer calamity. The Shi school says: When a guest star appears in the Star of Examinations and Documents, the state will lose the sovereign's decrees. The Shi school also says: When a guest star remains in the Star of Examinations and Documents, there will be military affairs, and the sovereign will not find peace.

《黃帝占》曰：“有星入將星，色蒼，將有憂；一曰：故臣有抵罪。”《黃帝占》曰：“黃星入將星，受封；黑，將死。”《黃帝占》曰：“大赤星入將星，提鼓之將驚。”《黃帝占》曰：“有星入相星，色黃若白，皆為故臣有賜爵者。”

The Zhongjing Divination says: If a star enters the domain of the Director of Destiny, a star of green color indicates that court officials will have worries; a star of yellow color indicates that old officials will be granted titles; a star of white color indicates that close officials will be punished; a star of black color indicates that close officials will die. If the star leaves the domain of the Director of Destiny, a star of red color indicates that the king will be seriously ill. The Huangdi Divination says: If a guest star appears in the domains of the Director of Destiny, the Director of the Middle, and the Director of the Salary, there will be close officials who flee due to guilt; if the star is yellow or white, there will be no problems; if the star is green, there will be worries; if the star is black, there will be death.

郄萌曰：“客星出司命，有加命於群生；一曰：有下命者。”石氏曰：“有星入司命中，為內亂。”《黃帝占》曰：“有星入司命中，色蒼，近臣有憂；一曰：近臣有棄捐者。”《荊州占》曰：“有星入司中，色蒼者有賊。”郄萌曰：“青黑星若入司中，奸人有入者；出司中，奸人有出者。”

Xie Meng said: A guest star appearing in the Director of Destiny indicates an imperial decree benefiting all people; another interpretation suggests an imperial edict will be issued. The Shi school said: A star entering the Director of Destiny portends internal disorder. The Yellow Emperor's Divination states: A star entering the Director of Destiny, if it is green in color, indicates that a close minister will suffer misfortune; another interpretation suggests that a close minister will be discarded. The Jingzhou Divination says: A star entering the Director of Destiny, if it is green in color, indicates the presence of a harmful villain. Xie Meng said: If a green or black star enters the Director of Destiny, there will be a secret agent entering; if the star leaves the Director of Destiny, there will be a secret agent fleeing.

石氏曰：“有星入司祿中，色黃若白，近臣有易爵者。”郄萌曰：“客星入司祿，色青黑，近臣有奪爵者。”郄萌曰：“客星出司祿，有下賞者。”

The Shi school says: If a star enters the domain of司禄, and the star's color is yellow or white, there will be a change in rank among the close ministers. Xie Meng says: If a guest star enters the domain of司禄, and the star's color is dark blue, there will be a loss of rank among the close ministers. Xie Meng also says: If a guest star appears in the domain of司禄, there will be an imperial decree of reward.

郄萌曰：“客星入北斗魁上若下，色青黑，人主大憂；赤，有大客，境外與中國爭兵；黃白，人主有賀，期皆六十日，若百二十日，人主避舍東方，十日而賜功，應之。”郄萌曰：“有星入北斗魁中，大人有繫者，一曰：人主左右有囚者；色黃白，無故；色青黑，有憂，死，不出；色赤，斬。”

Xie Meng said: If a guest star enters above or below the northern dipper's handle, and its color is dark blue-black, the sovereign will face great troubles; if its color is red, there will be a powerful foreign force, and there will be warfare between the outer regions and the Central Plains; if its color is yellow or white, the sovereign will have something to celebrate. These phenomena will manifest within a period of sixty days or one hundred twenty days. The sovereign should avoid the main palace, move to the east, and after ten days, reward those who have merited. This is to harmonize with the celestial signs. The seven stars of the Big Dipper are the sovereign's chariot, moving in the center and commanding the four directions. Xie Meng said: If a star enters the handle of the Big Dipper, the sovereign's attendants will be detained; another interpretation is that someone on the sovereign's side will be imprisoned; if the star's color is yellow or white, there will be no trouble; if the color is dark blue-black, there will be worries, possibly even death and inability to be released from prison; if the color is red, it signifies execution.

《荊州占》曰：“有星出庭，入北斗魁中，二千石有繫者；色青，憂；黑，死；赤，有斬事。”《荊州占》曰：“大星入北斗，貴臣誅，若係者。”《黃帝占》曰：“客星出北斗魁中，天子自將兵，國憂傾危，社稷不安，民多苦，期一年。”

The book Zhongjiao Zhan says: If a star appears from Taimei Tianing and enters the Big Dipper's魁, there will be officials at the level of those receiving two thousand stones of salary who will be arrested; if the star is green, it indicates worries; if it is black, it indicates death; if it is red, there will be beheadings. The book Zhongjiao Zhan also says: A large star entering the Big Dipper indicates that a high official will be executed or imprisoned. The book Huangdi Zhan says: If a guest star appears in the Big Dipper's魁, the emperor will personally lead the army, the country will face danger and collapse, the state will not be at peace, the people will suffer greatly, and the duration will be one year.

石氏曰：“有星集北斗旁，不入北斗中，名貴人有憂，以五色占之。”郄萌曰：“有星出北斗魁，天下赦。星大，赦大；星小，赦小，期九十日，當至。”齊伯曰：“客星出北斗旗間，兵大起，東騎行，若貴臣有誅，人主憂。旗者，紫宮北斗兩間。”

The Shi school says: When stars gather near the Big Dipper but do not enter it, this indicates that a nobleman will have troubles. The fortune is determined by the five colors: green, red, yellow, white, and black. Xie Meng says: When a star appears from the Qiu part of the Big Dipper, the whole country will issue a pardon. A large star indicates a wide scope of pardon, while a small star indicates a narrow scope. The duration is ninety days, and it will certainly happen by then. Qi Bo says: When a guest star appears between the flag star of the Big Dipper, there will be great military action, with eastern cavalry moving out, or a high-ranking minister will be executed, and the ruler will have worries. The so-called flag star refers to the area between the Purple Palace and the Big Dipper.

《海中占》曰：“客星出入北斗，天下大亂，兵大起，臣謀主，不則天下大水，入城郭，煞人民，期百日。”（郄萌曰：期三十日也。）郄萌曰：“有星離北斗柄中央，色青，相有憂；赤者，兵事；黃白，有赦，若相遇賊；黑者，死。”

The Sea Divination says: When a guest star appears and disappears in the Big Dipper, there will be great chaos throughout the land, and major military conflicts will arise, with ministers plotting against the sovereign; otherwise, there will be a great flood, with water flooding into the city walls and drowning the people, lasting for one hundred days. (Original note: Xie Meng says the duration is thirty days.) Xie Meng says: If a star is attached to the central star of the Big Dipper's handle, and the star is green, there will be worries for the chancellor; if the star is red, it indicates military affairs; if the star is yellow or white, there will be an amnesty or the chancellor will be harmed by villains; if the star is black, it indicates death.

甘氏曰：“客星見北斗魁中，色赤，楚當之；青，齊當之；黃，衛當之；黑，燕當之；白，秦當之；各以五色，知其分野吉凶。”《荊州占》曰：“有星見北斗魁中，有死者；色赤，楚君當之。”《荊州占》曰：“變星見北斗魁中，天子當之。”石氏曰：“大星去北斗中，如赤鳥，其頭黑，天下有兵。”

The Gan school says: A guest star appearing in the middle of the Big Dipper's handle, if red in color, should be in the area of Chu; if blue, in the area of Qi; if yellow, in the area of Wei; if black, in the area of Yan; if white, in the area of Qin; all are determined by the five colors to identify which region it falls into, thus predicting fortune or misfortune. The "Jingzhou Divination" says: If a star appears in the middle of the Big Dipper's handle, there will be someone dying; if the star is red, it should be the king of Chu. The "Jingzhou Divination" also says: If a strange star appears in the middle of the Big Dipper's handle, it should be on the person of the Son of Heaven. The Shi school says: If a large star leaves the middle of the Big Dipper, appearing like a red bird with a black head, there will be warfare across the land.

《甄曜度》：“客星居北斗旁，帝王有憂；若有不出者，兵大起，士卒用，各以五色占之；去北斗一尺，期一年；二尺，期二年。”郄萌曰：“客星守北斗，天下必有大事，若大變；守斗後，道不通，水。”郄萌曰；“客星守北斗七星，人君大變。”（一書云：有憂。）

The book *Zhen Yao Du* says: If a guest star stops near the Big Dipper, the emperor will face calamity; if it remains there without moving, great military conflicts will arise, and soldiers will be conscripted. The fortune or misfortune should be judged according to the five colors. If the guest star is one chi away from the Big Dipper, the duration will be one year; if it is two chi away, the duration will be two years. Xie Meng says: If a guest star stops at the Big Dipper, there will certainly be major events or great changes in the country. If it stops behind the handle of the Big Dipper, roads will be blocked and there will be floods. Xie Meng also says: If a guest star stops at the seven stars of the Big Dipper, the sovereign will encounter major troubles. (Original note: Another version reads 'there will be calamity'.)

《荊州占》曰：“有星入正星，大人遇賊；出正星，為政者易。”《荊州占》曰：“有星抵正星，有客。色青，以禽獸為幣；黃，以綾羅為幣；赤，以錢為幣；白，以人若兵劫為幣；黑，以金為幣；色白蒼，以羊為幣；正星上左右，以馬牛魚鹽為幣；色黑左右，以五穀為幣。”

The *Jingzhou Divination* says: If a star enters the "Zhengxing" star, the sovereign will encounter wicked people; if a star leaves the Zhengxing star, the officials in charge will be replaced. The seven stars of the Big Dipper each have their own names: the first star is called Zhengxing, the second is Faxing, the third is Lingxing, the fourth is Faxing, the fifth is Shaxing, the sixth is Weixing, and the seventh is Buxing. The *Jingzhou Divination* also says: If a star approaches the Zhengxing star, there will be foreign guests arriving; if the star is green, the tribute will be animals; if the star is yellow, the tribute will be silk and brocade; if the star is red, the tribute will be money; if the star is white, the tribute will be people or captured soldiers; if the star is black, the tribute will be gold; if the star is white with a hint of green, the tribute will be sheep; if the star approaches above or below the Zhengxing star, the tribute will be horses, cattle, fish, and salt; if the star is dark and approaches the sides, the tribute will be five grains.

《荊州占》曰：“有星出法星，若入法星，主當之。”郄萌曰：“有星入令星，執法者死；出令星，執法者逐於諸侯。”《荊州占》曰：“有星入伐者，蠻夷以水兵至；出伐星，天予與蠻夷和。”《荊州占》曰：“有星抵伐星而舍之者，人多死。”《荊州占》曰：“有星抵伐星，有光，女主疾；有光而環伐星，君疾。”

The book "Jingzhou Divination" says: If a star appears along with the method star or enters the method star, it indicates something concerning the sovereign. Xie Meng says: If a star enters the decree star, the official in charge of laws and decrees will die; if it leaves the decree star, the law enforcer will be exiled to a vassal state. "Jingzhou Divination" says: If a star enters the warfare star, the four barbarian tribes will come with naval forces; if it leaves the warfare star, the Son of Heaven will make peace with the barbarians. "Jingzhou Divination" says: If a star approaches and stops at the warfare star, many people will die. "Jingzhou Divination" says: If a star approaches the warfare star and shines brightly, the female sovereign will fall ill; if the light circles around the warfare star, the sovereign will fall ill.

郄萌曰：“有星入煞星，大臣主馬者死，期一旬；出煞星，大臣走。”《荊州占》曰：“有星入危星，易政；出危星，天子出令不行。”《荊州占》曰：“有星入部星，諸侯兵起，子攻父，弟攻兄。”郄萌曰：“客星入輔星，有善令。”《荊州占》曰：“有星入輔星，色青，相有罪，若免；色赤，相受兵，若將兵；黃白，相有賜，若有喜；黑，相死，若免。”

Xie Meng said: If a star enters the凶星, the minister in charge of horse affairs will die within ten days; if the star leaves the凶星, the minister will flee. The "Jingzhou Divination" says: If a star enters the危星, there will be changes in government orders; if the star leaves the危星, the edicts issued by the emperor will not be carried out. The "Jingzhou Divination" also says: If a star enters the部星, the princes will raise armies, sons will attack their fathers, and younger brothers will attack their elder brothers. Xie Meng said: If the guest star enters the辅星, there will be good government orders. The辅星 is beside the Kaiyang star, symbolizing the prime minister. The "Jingzhou Divination" says: If a star enters the辅星, if the star is green, the chancellor will be punished or dismissed; if the star is red, the chancellor will take military command or lead an army; if the star is yellow or white, the chancellor will be rewarded or have good news; if the star is black, the chancellor will die or be dismissed.

《玉曆》曰：“客星犯紫微宮，有大喪，若守之十日已上，災必應，期百二十日。”（按《洪範天文星辰變占》曰：漢昭元鳳四年九月，客星在紫微宮中樞極間，後三年，昭帝崩也。）

The Zuyi says: A guest star conflicting with the Purple Micro Palace will bring great calamity; if it remains for more than ten days, the disaster will certainly occur, and the duration is one hundred and twenty days. The Purple Micro Palace is the palace where the heavenly emperor resides, corresponding to the emperor's palace on earth. (Original book note: According to the records in Hongfan Astronomical Stars and Constellations Divination, in the ninth month of the fourth year of Emperor Zhao of Han's Yuanfeng era, a guest star appeared between the Tianshu and Beihuo stars in the Purple Micro Palace. After three years, Emperor Zhao died.)

石氏曰：“客星入紫微宮，天子有急兵起宮中，必有死王，若有逃走之主，期不出百八十日。”

The Shi school says: If a guest star enters the Purple Micro Palace, the emperor will face a sudden calamity, a military revolt will occur within the palace, there must be a prince who is killed, or a king who flees abroad. This prediction will come true within no more than one hundred and eighty days.

(Original commentary: Refer to Ban Gu's "Book of Han: Astronomical Records" which states that in the first year of Huanglong of Emperor Xuan of Han, in the third month, a guest star remained stationary east of Wangliang, spanning about nine feet in width and more than a zhang in length, with its芒角 pointing westward, emerging from between the Geduodao and proceeding directly to the Zi Palace. In the twelfth month of that year, Emperor Xuan died. Sima Biao's "Continued Book of Han: Astronomical Records" says that in the first year of Yuanhe of Emperor Zhang of Han, on the fourth month, on the day of Dingsi, a guest star appeared in the east in the early morning, located at the eighth degree of the Weixu mansion, measuring three feet in length, passing through the Geduodao and entering the Zi Palace, lingering for forty days, and disappearing in the area of the Geduodao. The Zi Palace is the palace of the Son of Heaven, and when a guest star invades it, it is called a sign of great mourning. Four years later, Emperor Zhang died.)

《宋書天文志》曰：晉太康元年四月，客星在紫宮，太康末，武帝耽晏遊，多疾病，是月乙酉，帝崩。永平元年，賈后誅楊駿及其黨與，皆夷三族。楊太后亦見煞，是年又誅汝南王亮、太保衛瓘、楚王偉海西。太和四年二月，客星見紫微宮西垣，至七月乃滅。六年，桓溫廢帝也。）

The "Book of the Later Han · Astronomical Records" says: In the fourth month of the first year of Taikang of the Jin dynasty, a guest star appeared in the Purple Palace. By the end of Taikang, Emperor Wu of Jin became addicted to feasting and entertainment, and suffered from illness repeatedly. On the Yiyou day of that month, Emperor Wu died. In the first year of Yongping, Consort Jia executed Yang Jun and his associates, who were all executed along with their three families, and Yang太后 was also killed; that year also saw the execution of Prince Runan of Lu, Grand Guardian Wei Gui, and Prince Chu of司马. In the second year of Tahe, a guest star appeared in the western section of the Purple Palace of the Purple Micro Palace, and it disappeared in July; in the sixth year of Tahe, Huan Wen deposed the emperor.

《荊州占》曰：“客星入紫微宮，國有大變；一曰：為兵起，得地。”（按班固《天文志》曰：孝昭元鳳四年九月，客星去紫微宮中樞極間。其五年六月，發三輔郡國少年濟北軍也。）

The book "Jingzhou Divination" says: When a guest star enters the Purple Micro Palace, there will be major disturbances in the country; another interpretation suggests military affairs will arise and land will be obtained. (Original note: According to Ban Gu's "Han Shu · Tianwen Zhi," in the ninth month of the fourth year of Emperor Zhao of Han's Yuanfeng era, a guest star left the area between the Tianshu and Beihuo stars in the Purple Micro Palace. By the sixth month of the fifth year of Yuanfeng, the court mobilized young men from the three auxiliary regions and various commanderies and states to form an army for Jibei.)

《荊州占》曰：“赤星入紫宮，天下亂；一曰：為天下無人，其中列大夫多死罪者；入其旁，有亂臣。”《荊州占》曰：“黃星入紫宮，人主益地，天下有喜，期十日。”《荊州占》曰：“有赤星若黑星入紫宮，從其陽入，有客兵，期六十日，至；從其陰入，有走王。”

The *Jingzhou Divination* says: If a red star enters the Purple Palace, there will be chaos throughout the land; another interpretation is that there will be no capable officials, as many officials listed in the Purple Palace are sentenced to death. If the star enters near the Purple Palace, there will be rebellious ministers. The *Jingzhou Divination* says: If a yellow star enters the Purple Palace, the ruler will expand his territory and there will be good news in the land, with the duration being ten days. The *Jingzhou Divination* says: If a red or black star enters the Purple Palace, entering from the yang side indicates foreign troops will arrive within sixty days, and they will definitely come; entering from the yin side indicates a prince in exile will return.

《黃帝占》曰：“客星出紫宮，天下大亂，臣煞其主，王者有憂，國有大變，期不出年。”石氏曰：“有星如拳正圓，及如獸狀，出紫宮，天子用壁玉賜諸侯王。”石氏曰：“客星守紫宮，臣煞主。”《荊州占》曰：“客星在旗間，車騎起。”

The Yellow Emperor's Divination says: If a guest star appears in the Purple Palace, there will be great disorder throughout the land, ministers will kill their sovereigns, the king will have worries, and there will be major changes in the country, but these omens will not be fulfilled in the same year. The Shi school says: If a star, as big as a fist, round in shape, or resembling a wild animal, appears in the Purple Palace, the Son of Heaven will reward the feudal princes with jade discs. The Shi school also says: If the guest star remains in the Purple Palace, ministers will kill their sovereigns. The Jingzhou Divination says: If the guest star is stationed between the flag star, chariots, horses, and cavalry will be mobilized.

石氏曰：“客星入北極，天下道塞。”《黃帝占》曰：“客星出北辰，天子出德令，安天下。”《黃帝占》曰：“赤星出天樞，天下兵盈野，罷。”郄萌曰：“客星出北極，而所之國大敗，四方皆然。”

The Shi school says: A guest star entering the Northern Pole will cause blockage of roads throughout the land. The five stars of the Northern Pole are located in the Purple Micro Palace, representing the celestial pivot and the image of the sovereign. The Yellow Emperor's Divination says: When a guest star appears at the Northern Pole, the Son of Heaven issues edicts promoting benevolence, thus pacifying the world. The Yellow Emperor's Divination also says: When a red star appears at the Heavenly Pivot, armies will be stationed in the outskirts, followed by the cessation of warfare. Xie Meng says: When a guest star appears at the Northern Pole, the country it points to will suffer a great defeat, and all the surrounding states will be judged in the same way.

石氏曰：“他星見北極，帝王驚，宗室亂，王者修郊祀，奉宗廟，大赦天下，則災消。”《荊州占》曰：“客星舍極，四夷若胡王有喪。”《荊州占》曰：“客星守極，大臣誅。”《荊州占》曰：“客星（一本云：赤星）守天樞極，兵聚一國，有更君、易幣。”

The Shi school says: If other variable stars appear in the Northern Pole, the emperor will be startled, and the royal family will experience turmoil; the king only needs to properly conduct the heavenly worship at the outskirts of the capital, respectfully honor the ancestral temples, and issue a great amnesty throughout the land, and the calamity will be dispelled. The "Jingzhou Divination" says: If a guest star resides in the Northern Pole, the four directions' barbarians or the kings of the Hu people will have mourning events. The "Jingzhou Divination" says: If a guest star remains stationed at the Northern Pole, the ministers will be executed. The "Jingzhou Divination" says: If a guest star (note: another version says "red star") remains stationed at the Tianshu and the Northern Pole, armies will gather within a single country, and there will be a change of ruler and alteration of currency.

石氏曰：“客星守天樞，國有大憂。”石氏曰：“客星出北辰，犯守大星，天下道塞，兵大起，臣欲謀主，兵聚一國，人主有變，期不出年。”《黃帝占》曰：“客星犯乘守北辰主星，大人當之；一曰：有大喪；一曰：有反者。”

The Shi school says: A guest star stopping at the celestial pole indicates great worries within the country. The Shi school says: A guest star appearing at the Northern Dipper conflicts with and stops at the main star of the Northern Pole, causing blocked roads throughout the land, large-scale military actions, ministers wanting to harm the sovereign, armies gathering in one country, and the sovereign facing calamity, which will not be fulfilled in the same year. The Yellow Emperor's Divination says: If a guest star conflicts with, invades, or stops at the main star of the Northern Dipper, it will affect the sovereign; another interpretation is a great mourning; yet another is a plot against the sovereign.

《荊州占》曰：“客星犯乘守太子星，太子有罪若死。”《荊州占》曰：“客星中犯乘守庶子星，庶子有罪若死。”石氏曰：“赤星入勾陳，兵內亂，大司馬戮死；出勾陳，大戰有功。”石氏曰：“黑星入勾陳，大司馬溺軍中。”

The *Jingzhou Divination* says: If a guest star confronts, invades, or occupies the Prince Star, or stays in it, the prince will be guilty of a crime or die. Among the five stars of the Northern Pole, the first is the Prince Star, the second is the Emperor Star, and the third is the Common Son Star. The *Jingzhou Divination* also says: If a guest star passes through, confronts, invades, or stays in the Common Son Star, the common son will be guilty of a crime or die. The Shi school says: If a red star enters Gou Chen, there will be internal strife in the army, and the Grand Master of Military Affairs will be executed. The six stars of Gou Chen are located in the Purple Palace, representing the emperor's harem and also the six military generals. If the stars leave Gou Chen, it indicates a great battle and military success. The Shi school also says: If a black star enters Gou Chen, the Grand Master of Military Affairs will drown and die in the army.

石氏曰：“黃白星入勾陳，將不戰，兵去外，罷。”石氏曰：“蒼白星入勾陳，大司馬有喪；出勾陳，軍破，將有憂。”《荊州占》曰：“赤星入勾陳，必有迫劫主者。”《荊州占》曰：“客星入正妃，國有大憂。”陳卓曰：“客星入正妃，有大喪。”

The Shi school says: A yellow and white star entering Gou Chen indicates that generals will not fight, troops will withdraw from abroad, and hostilities will cease. The Shi school says: A green and white star entering Gou Chen indicates that the Grand司马 will suffer a death; if the star leaves Gou Chen, the army will disintegrate and generals will face worries. The Jingzhou Divination says: A red star entering Gou Chen indicates that there will certainly be someone who seizes the king. The Jingzhou Divination says: A guest star entering the 'chief consort' star indicates great calamity in the country. Chen Zhuo says: A guest star entering the 'chief consort' star indicates a great mourning.

《荊州占》曰：“客星入黃龍之位，有黜妃，臣煞主。”齊伯曰：“客星出勾陳，國有大變，后妃有憂，若女主有黜者，不出一年。”石氏曰：“客星入勾陳，若犯之，宮中有變臣殺其主，王者有憂。”

The *Jingzhou Divination* says: When a guest star enters the position of Huanglong, there will be the dismissal of concubines and queens, and a minister will kill his sovereign. Qibei says: When a guest star appears in Gouchen, there will be major disturbances in the country, the empress dowager will have worries, or there will be a female ruler who is dismissed, and this will come to pass within a year. The Shi school says: When a guest star enters Gouchen or confronts Gouchen, there will be disturbances in the palace, a minister will kill his sovereign, and the king will have worries.

《荊州占》曰：“客星入天一座，五穀大貴。”《甄曜度》曰：“客星出天一太一，五穀貴，人民飢；一曰：若有旱災。”《黃帝占》曰：“他星曆天一，則宮門閉，王者內不安，近臣亂，不出三年。”

The *Jingzhou Zhuan* says: When a guest star enters the seat of "Tianyi," grain prices will rise sharply. Tianyi and Taiyi are two stars located outside the Purple Palace, which are the spirits of the heavenly emperor, in charge of warfare and capable of knowing human fortune and misfortune. The *Zhenyaodu* says: When a guest star appears in Tianyi and Taiyi, grain will become very expensive, and the people will suffer from hunger; another view suggests there will be a drought. The *Huangdi Zhuan* says: If other abnormal stars pass through Tianyi, the palace gates should be closed and sealed, the king will not find peace within the inner court, and the close ministers will rebel, and this will come to pass within three years.
