The Shi school says: if the planet Jupiter enters Fang Xu, it should affect the prince himself; if Jupiter is in its position, the prince should retreat, and the period should be ninety days. Xi Meng says: if Jupiter enters the three paths of Fang Xu, it indicates the Son of Heaven will have a son. Another divination says: if Jupiter enters Fang Xu and within ten days its path is curved like a hook, it is an ominous sign disliked by the Son of Heaven, which can be dispelled by a great amnesty; another interpretation suggests it indicates the death of a concubine or queen, referring to Jupiter moving east past Fang Xu and then returning. Another says: if Jupiter enters Fang Xu, it indicates a change in government policies, and the period should be one hundred and twenty days. The "Jingzhou Divination" says: if Jupiter enters Fang Xu, there will be a bountiful harvest of grain, political peace, and the people will be free from illness and misfortune, with edicts of benevolence, and the period should be four months.

郗萌曰：“歲星居房南，歲多旱，五穀以旱傷；居房北，多水，五穀以水傷；又曰在房北，為大水，其國舟楫相望。又占曰：歲星處房南，民多寒熱病，處房北，牛多死，其肉殺人；東，馬多死；西，飢傷。”《黃帝占》曰：“歲星舍房，玄色不明，有喪；又曰大水。”郗萌曰：“歲星與房合，兵戰滿野；又曰有白衣之會。”《荊州占》曰：“歲星中犯陵房，國君憂，色青、憂喪；色赤、憂兵，積尸成山；色黑、有將相朱；色白，有芒角，大哭。”

Xi Meng said: When the planet Jupiter is located south of the Room Mansion, there will be much drought, and the five grains will be damaged by the drought; when it is located north of the Room Mansion, there will be much water, and the five grains will be damaged by the water; he also said that when Jupiter is located north of the Room Mansion, there will be a great flood, and in the territory corresponding to the Room Mansion, ships will be seen in sight of each other. Another divination says: When Jupiter stops at the south of the Room Mansion, the people will suffer from many cases of cold and fever; when it stops at the north of the Room Mansion, many cattle will die, and eating their meat will poison people; when it is located to the east, many horses will die; when it is located to the west, there will be suffering from famine. The Yellow Emperor's Divination says: When Jupiter stops at the Room Mansion, if its color is dark black but not bright, it indicates there will be mourning; another interpretation says it indicates a great flood. Xi Meng said: When Jupiter combines with the Room Mansion, it indicates warfare everywhere; another interpretation says there will be gatherings of mourning. The Jingzhou Divination says: When Jupiter invades and oppresses the Room Mansion from the middle, the king will have worries; if the color is green, the worry is about mourning; if the color is red, the worry is about warfare, with corpses piling up like mountains; if the color is black, the ministers and generals will suffer from punishment and execution; if the color is white with sharp edges, the whole country will mourn greatly.

《黃帝占》曰：“歲星守房，七日不出，有崩王；十五日不出，兵大起。”石氏曰：“歲星守房，有白衣會，發男也。”又占曰：“歲星守房，其國多禍殃，吏民相傷，大臣將滿道而行。”又占曰：“歲星守房，為大人憂，以赦解之。”又占曰：“歲星守房，在南，牛馬無馯縻。又占曰：歲星守房，五穀豐熟。”甘氏曰：“歲星守房，天下和平。”《海中占》曰：“歲星守房，他國有獻馬者，魚鹽十倍。”

The Yellow Emperor's Divination says: When the planet Jupiter stays in the Room Mansion for seven days without leaving, there will be the death of a king; if it stays for fifteen days, great military conflicts will arise. The Shi school says: When Jupiter stays in the Room Mansion, there will be gatherings of mourning, and conscription of men will take place. Another divination says: When Jupiter stays in the Room Mansion, the country corresponding to its domain will suffer many calamities, officials and common people will harm each other, and ministers will run about everywhere. Another says: When Jupiter stays in the Room Mansion, the nobleman will have worries, and a great amnesty can resolve this. Another says: When Jupiter stays in the Room Mansion and is偏 in the south, cattle and horses do not need restraints or halters and will not escape. Another says: When Jupiter stays in the Room Mansion, the five grains will be abundant. The Gan school says: When Jupiter stays in the Room Mansion, the world will be peaceful. The Sea Divination says: When Jupiter stays in the Room Mansion, there will be a foreign country sending horses as tribute, and the price of fish and salt will rise tenfold.

Another says: When the year star stays in the Room Mansion, it indicates that the feudal lords will conspire with each other, and their plans will not be carried out. Another says: When the year star stays in the Room Mansion, there will be military actions on the border. Another says: When the year star stays in the Room Mansion, there will be a great famine, people will eat people, and the dead will not be buried. Another says: When the year star stays in the Room Mansion, there will be a great amnesty. (Original book note: According to the "Astronomical Records" in the "Book of Song," in the fourth year of the Jingyuan era of the Wei dynasty, the year star stayed in the Room Mansion, and the divination said that ministers would have worries. Xi Meng said: When the star of years moves retrograde, stays, invades, guards, overpowers, or humiliates the left and right骖stars of the Room Mansion, the monarch will die and ministers will plot secretly. If it moves retrograde and overpowers the middle path, the emperor will lose his position and die. If it moves forward and overpowers the middle path, the world will become peaceful. Another divination says: When the star of years does not follow the central path of the Room Mansion, it indicates the monarch does not reside in the Bright Hall. Another interpretation says it shows disrespect to the Bright Hall. Han Yang said: When the star of years invades the Room Mansion and the two small stars near it, the king will have worries. Xi Meng said: When the star of years invades and overpowers the two small stars, ministers will have faults; if the emperor does not respectfully serve heaven, he will cause the temple fires to break out. The king should not go out of the palace or descend the steps, because someone is plotting to hide in the temple. The Sea Divination says: When the star of years guards the two small stars, there will be three years of famine. The Jingzhou Divination says: When the star of years guards the two small stars and then moves away three inches, the king will lose power, the palace gates will not open, and the close ministers will cause chaos.

石氏曰：“歲星近心，七寸以內，有暴貴者；不出百八十日。”《仰觀占》曰：“歲星犯心，所當之國，戰不勝；一曰將軍鬥死。”《海中占》曰：“歲星犯心天子星，王者絕嗣；犯太子，太子不利，犯庶子，庶子不利。”石氏曰：“歲星經心，清明烈照，天下內奉明王，帝必延年。”《黃帝占》曰：“歲星至心，正不失道，天下和平，軌道失綱，災變生。”《東宮候》曰：“歲犯，犯庶子星，庶子有憂，不出百八十日。”郗萌曰：“歲星不入明堂正道，其君不敬明堂；一曰不居明堂。”

"Observing the Sky Divination" says: when the planet Jupiter invades the Heart Mansion, the corresponding region will go to war but will not win; another interpretation says that a general will die in battle. "Divination from the Sea" says: when the planet Jupiter invades the emperor star of the Heart Mansion, the king will have no successor; when it invades the crown prince star, the crown prince will be in trouble; when it invades the庶son star, the庶son will be in trouble. The Shi school says: when the planet Jupiter passes through the Heart Mansion, if it is clear and bright with strong light, the whole world will be devoted to the virtuous emperor, and the emperor will surely live long. "The Yellow Emperor's Divination" says: when the planet Jupiter reaches the Heart Mansion, if it is upright and does not deviate from the norm, the world will be peaceful; if it loses its path and order, calamities and strange events will occur. "The Eastern Palace Watcher" says: when the planet Jupiter invades the庶son star, the庶son will have worries, and this will happen within 180 days. Xi Meng says: when the planet Jupiter does not follow the correct path of the Bright Hall, it indicates that the king is disrespectful towards the Bright Hall; another interpretation is that the king is unwilling to reside in the Bright Hall.

郗萌曰：“歲星入心，天下諸侯有慶賞之事，期九十日。”《荊州占》曰：“歲星入角、守氐之心，滿二十日以上，期不出一年之中，且有立王；其所行者，無不利也；行疾，則治肅；行遲，則失職。”石氏曰：“歲星乘心北，其國旱，室廟有焚者；南出，行疾，有兵起。”石氏曰：“歲星乘心北，其國旱，室廟有焚者；南出，行疾，有兵起。”石氏曰：“歲星乘心，其國相死。”《海中占》曰：“歲星居心，多旱，五穀以旱傷。”又占曰：“歲星合心，玄色不明，有喪。”

Xi Meng said: When the star of years enters the Heart mansion, there will be celebrations and rewards among the feudal lords, and the expected time will be ninety days. The "Jingzhou Divination" says: When the star of years enters the Horn mansion, stays at the Root mansion and the Heart mansion, and remains for more than twenty days, the expected time will not be beyond one year, and there will be the establishment of a king; whatever actions are taken at this time will be without difficulty. When the star of years moves quickly, politics will be orderly; when it moves slowly, officials will be neglecting their duties. The Shi school said: When the star of years approaches the north of the Heart mansion, the country corresponding to its region will suffer from drought, and there will be fires in houses and temples; if it comes from the south and moves quickly, there will be military conflicts. 《齊伯五星占》曰：“歲星出入留舍心之上，春夏糴貴；秋冬平價，二十日不下；冬兵大起，負海大敗，六十日不下，天下有急令。”《春秋緯》曰：“歲星守心，天子有慶賜。”《援神契》曰：“歲星守心，年穀豐。”石氏曰：“歲星守心，王者得天心；陰陽和，天下大豐，五穀成熟，有慶賜，賢士用，皆有令德。”巫咸曰：“歲量守心，有火異。又占曰：歲星守心，萬物五穀不成，吳楚其齊倍。”

The book "The Five Stars Divination of Qi Bo" says: When the planet Jupiter enters and stays in the Heart mansion, grain prices rise in spring and summer, and remain stable in autumn and winter; if Jupiter does not leave for twenty days, there will be great military conflicts in winter, and coastal countries will suffer great defeat; if Jupiter does not leave for sixty days, the whole country will have urgent imperial edicts. The "Spring and Autumn Wei" says: When Jupiter stays in the Heart mansion, the emperor will have celebrations and rewards. The "Yuan Shen Qi" says: When Jupiter stays in the Heart mansion, the harvest of grain will be abundant. The Shi school says: When Jupiter stays in the Heart mansion, the king aligns with the heavenly will, yin and yang are harmonious, the whole country will have a great harvest, all five grains will mature, there will be celebrations and rewards, virtuous men will be appointed, and everyone will have good virtues. Wu Xian says: When Jupiter stays in the Heart mansion, there will be strange phenomena such as fires. Another divination says: When Jupiter stays in the Heart mansion, all things and five grains will not be sufficient, and the prices in Wu and Chu regions will be double the usual.

郗萌曰：“歲星守天司空，貴人多病死。又占曰：歲星守天司空，土功起。又占曰：歲星守心東，馬多死，其肉殺人；守心西，萬物不成，多飢傷；守心南，多寒熱病；守心北，牛多死，其肉殺人。”《荊州占》曰：“歲星守心，七日以上至七十二日，名曰母覆其子；陰陽和平，王者得天心，忠士皆用，四夷服，天下安。”《黃帝占》曰：“歲星逆行守心，環繞成鉤已，為大人忌之，期六月，故赦以解之。”甘氏曰：“歲星犯守心，內禮臣欲謀主，若旱，有土功；春夏糴貴，秋冬糴賤，若守之六十日不下，有急令。”

Another divination says: When the star of the year stays at the celestial official of the sky, there will be great construction projects. Another says: When the star of the year stays east of the heart mansion, many horses will die, and eating their meat will poison people; when it stays west of the heart mansion, all things will fail, and there will be much suffering from famine; when it stays south of the heart mansion, there will be many cases of cold and fever; when it stays north of the heart mansion, many cattle will die, and eating their meat will poison people. The "Jingzhou Divination" says: When the star of the year stays at the heart mansion for seven days or more up to seventy-two days, this is called "mother covering her child," indicating harmony between yin and yang, the king aligning with the will of heaven, loyal and virtuous men being appointed, the four surrounding tribes submitting, and the world being at peace. The "Yellow Emperor Divination" says: When the star of the year moves backward and stays at the heart mansion, circling and winding like a hook, this is an ominous sign for noblemen, and the period of effect is six months, so great amnesty should be used to resolve it. The Gan school says: When the star of the year invades or stays at the heart mansion, it indicates that a minister in charge of rituals in the palace may plot against the king; or it may indicate drought and construction projects; in spring and summer, grain prices are high, but in autumn and winter, they are low; if it stays for sixty days without leaving, there will be urgent imperial edicts.

石氏曰：“歲星犯乘守心，大凶。”郗萌曰：“歲星犯乘守心明堂，為大人憂，近期十月，遠期三年。”又占曰：“歲星犯乘守心明堂，為內亂，臣欲殺主，有亡國，近期一年、二年、三年，遠期二十八年。”又占曰：“歲星犯乘守太子星者，太子憂，不死則去。”又占曰：“歲星犯乘守太子星，女主勢行。”石氏曰：“歲星中犯乘太子位，太子憂；犯少子位，少子憂。”又占曰：“歲星中犯乘守心明堂，在陽為燕，在陰為外。”巫咸曰：“歲星中犯乘守心明堂，為大戰，不勝，將軍鬥死。”郗萌曰：“歲星中犯乘守心明堂，為萬民備火，近期一年，中期三年，遠期九年；一曰天下旱。”又占曰：“歲星犯乘心明堂，大臣當之。”《海中占》曰：“歲星留逆犯守乘陵心者，王宮內賊亂，臣下有謀易主者；天子權在宗家，得勢大臣。”

Xi Meng says: When the star of years invades, dominates, or guards the Heart mansion's Bright Hall, it indicates that the nobleman will have worries. The near prediction is ten months, the distant one three years. Another divination says: When the star of years invades, dominates, or guards the Bright Hall of the Heart mansion, it indicates internal turmoil, ministers wanting to kill the sovereign, and the danger of the state's destruction. The near prediction is one, two, or three years, the distant one twenty-eight years. Another says: When the star of years invades, dominates, or guards the prince's star, the prince will have worries; even if he does not die, he will be banished. Another says: When the star of years invades, dominates, or guards the prince's star, the power of the female ruler will prevail. The Shi school says: When the star of years invades, dominates, or guards the position of the prince, the prince will have worries; when it invades the position of the younger son, the younger son will have worries. Another says: When the star of years invades, dominates, or guards the Bright Hall of the Heart mansion, if the star is in the yang position, it should be in Yan; if in the yin position, it should be in a foreign state. Wu Xian says: When the star of years invades, dominates, or guards the Bright Hall of the Heart mansion, there will be a great battle but no victory, and the general will die. Xi Meng says: When the star of years invades, dominates, or guards the Bright Hall of the Heart mansion, the people should be on guard for fires. The near prediction is one year, the middle prediction three years, the distant one nine years; another interpretation says it indicates a great drought across the land. Another says: When the star of years invades or dominates the Bright Hall of the Heart mansion, the calamity will fall upon the ministers. The Sea of Divination says: When the star of years stays, retrogrades, invades, guards, dominates, or欺陵 the Heart mansion, it indicates that there will be conspiracies within the royal palace, and ministers plotting to replace the sovereign. The sovereign's authority will fall into the hands of the royal family and powerful ministers.

石氏曰：“歲星入尾，天下諸侯有慶賀之事，期九十日。”巫咸曰：“歲星入尾，王者賜後宮，立太子；若后族有升顯者，不出百八十日。”《東官侯》曰：“歲星入尾，妄為嫡臣，專政賣權，災為起。”郗萌曰：“歲星逆行而宿尾，天子淫佚。”又占曰：“歲星處尾旁，旱、水。”又占曰：“歲星舍尾處，其東冬龍馬多死；處其北，牛多死，肉殺人；處其西，傷谷，處其南，民多寒熱，政急。”

The Tail Mansion has nine stars, representing the tail of the Azure Dragon, governing the imperial harem and corresponding to the region of Yan. The Shi school says: When the planet Jupiter enters the Tail Mansion, there will be celebrations among the feudal lords, and this will occur within ninety days. Wu Xian says: When Jupiter enters the Tail Mansion, the sovereign will bestow rewards upon the harem and appoint a crown prince; or there will be promotions and honors among the relatives of the concubines, which will happen within one hundred and eighty days. The "Eastern Officials Hou" says: When Jupiter enters the Tail Mansion, there will be ministers who usurp the position of the legitimate heir, monopolizing the government and selling power, leading to calamity. Xi Meng says: When Jupiter retrogrades and stops in the Tail Mansion, it indicates the sovereign's indulgence and excess. Another divination says: When Jupiter stops near the Tail Mansion, there will be drought or flood. Another says: When Jupiter stops in the Tail Mansion and remains to the east of it, many dragon horses will die in winter; if it stops to the north, many cattle will die, and eating their meat will cause poisoning; if it stops to the west, crops will be damaged; if it stops to the south, many people will suffer from cold and fever, and government orders will be urgent.

《海中占》曰：“歲星出入留舍尾，五十日不下，天下一國有大臣亡者。”《齊伯五星占》曰：“歲星出入留舍尾，尾者，燕之星也；其國則以義致天下，三十日不下，大亂。”《河圖》曰：“歲星守尾三十日，有反逆殺上者，兵起車馳。”甘氏曰：“歲星守尾，人民為變，大臣作亂，有反逆，從大將家起；若中有讒諛臣，期二十日，若卿當之。”又占曰：“歲星守尾，谷大貴，人民歸食。”又占曰：“歲星守尾三十日，王者立貴后夫人，若生太子，欲封寵后族。”

The Sea of Stars text says: When the planet Jupiter enters and stays in the Tail mansion for fifty days without leaving, there will be the death of a high official in one country. The Qi Bei Five Stars text says: When Jupiter enters and stays in the Tail mansion—the Tail mansion is the star corresponding to the region of Yan—the country can lead the world by virtue; if it stays for thirty days, there will be great disorder. The Yellow River Chart says: When Jupiter stays in the Tail mansion for thirty days, there will be rebels who kill their superiors, and military conflicts will arise, with war chariots moving swiftly. The Gan school says: When Jupiter stays in the Tail mansion, the people will become restless, ministers will rebel, and rebellion will start from the families of high generals; if there are ministers in court who slander and flatter, the event will occur within twenty days, or it will be on the ministers of the court. Another divination says: When Jupiter stays in the Tail mansion, grain prices will rise sharply, and the people will flee to other places to seek food. Another says: When Jupiter stays in the Tail mansion for thirty days, the king will appoint a noble concubine or give birth to a crown prince, and he will want to reward and favor the relatives of the concubine.

郗萌曰：“歲星守尾，為用事者當之，天下牢開，大赦。”巫咸曰：“歲星守尾，旱。”郗萌曰：“歲星守尾，成鉤已，夫人女君死亡。”《玄冥占》曰：“歲星守尾，王者賜後宮，立太子。”甘氏曰：“歲星入尾而守之，人主以嬪為後，政在臣下，期四十日。”郗萌曰：“歲星犯守尾，為女主，夫人、妃后惡之。”又占曰：“歲星留逆犯守乘陵尾，皇后有珠玉簪珥惑天子者，誣讒大起；后相貴臣誅，宮人出走，兵起宮門。”

The "Xuan Ming Zhuan" said: When the planet Jupiter stays in the Tail mansion, the king will reward the concubines in the palace and appoint a crown prince. The Gan school said: When the planet Jupiter enters the Tail mansion and stays there, the sovereign will elevate a concubine to the position of empress, and power will shift to the ministers, with an expected period of forty days. Xi Meng said: When the planet Jupiter invades or stays in the Tail mansion, it affects the female ruler, and the queen and concubines will dislike this celestial phenomenon. Another divination says: When the planet Jupiter stops, moves backward, invades, stays, overpowers, or oppresses the Tail mansion, it indicates that the empress will deceive the emperor with jewels and ornaments, and false accusations will arise. Afterwards, ministers and high officials will be executed, palace attendants will flee, and military conflict will occur within the palace gates.

《春秋緯》曰：“歲星犯箕中，天下大亂，兵大起。”郗萌曰：“歲星犯箕，女主宮人有憂。”郗萌曰：“歲星犯箕，為天下大赦。”石氏曰：“歲星入箕，天下大成，其中有一星，民莫處其室養者，星在箕南，旱；在北，有水；箕踵者，歲熟。”巫咸曰：“歲星入箕中，伺其出日而數之，皆如期二十日，兵發，伺始入處數之，率一日，期十日，軍罷。”

The four stars of Ji Xu form the shape of a winnowing basket, governing wind and speech. Its territory corresponds to the region of Yan. The "Spring Annals" says: if the planet Jupiter enters the middle of Ji Xu, the world will experience great chaos and large-scale warfare. Xi Meng says: if the planet Jupiter enters Ji Xu, there will be worries for the female ruler and palace attendants. Xi Meng also says: if the planet Jupiter enters Ji Xu, the country will have a general amnesty. The Shi school says: if the planet Jupiter enters Ji Xu, the country will have a bountiful harvest; if there is another star within Ji Xu, it indicates that the people will have no place to live and will be unable to sustain themselves. If the star is located to the south of Ji Xu, it indicates drought; if it is located to the north, it indicates flooding; if it is located at the heel of Ji Xu (the part at the back of the mouth), it indicates a good harvest. Wu Xian says: if the planet Jupiter enters the middle of Ji Xu, it will stay there for twenty days, during which time warfare will break out; if calculated from the day it first enters, it will take about ten days for the army to disband.

Another divination says: When the star of years enters the mansion of Ji Xu, it causes illness, and there will be disputes and slander within the palace. The period of occurrence is fifty days or one hundred twenty days. The "Jingzhou Divination" says: When the star of years enters the mansion of Ji Xu, bandits rise up, there are many cases of fighting and killing, and the harvest is poor. The Shi school said: When the star of years leaves the mansion of Ji Xu, grain prices rise sharply, there is a great drought across the country, and more than half of the people die of starvation. Xi Meng said: When the star of yearsretrograde enters the mansion of Ji Xu, the king of the country is indulgent and extravagant. The "Chunqiu Tu" says: When the star of years reaches the mansion of Ji Xu, there will be much wind in that year. Xi Meng said: When the star of years enters and stays in the mansion of Ji Ji Xu, which is the mansion corresponding to the region of Yan, if the star stays there, the country will be able to conquer the world by force; if it does not leave for sixty days, the region of Yan will have a great achievement and gain the world. It also says: When the star of years stays in the mansion of Ji Xu, there will be much drought.

《春秋緯》曰：“歲星守天司空，歲水。”甘氏曰：“歲星守箕，多惡風，有旱災，其國大飢，人相食。”郗萌曰：“歲星守箕東，歲熟；南，小穰熟；北，大穰；西，飢。”郗萌曰：“歲星守箕，貴人多死病。”又占曰：“歲星守箕，為其歲水。”又占曰：“歲星守箕，則多土功。”又占曰：“歲星守司空，大臣衛守。”《東官候》曰：“負星留守箕七日以上，去之七尺以內，貴女有尊進者。”

Xi Meng says: When the year star stays at the eastern part of the Winnowing Basket mansion, the harvest will be abundant; when it stays at the southern part, there will be some harvest; when it stays at the northern part, there will be a great harvest; when it stays at the western part, there will be famine. Xi Meng also says: When the year star stays at the Winnowing Basket mansion, many noblemen will die from illness. Another divination says: When the year star stays at the Winnowing Basket mansion, there will be floods in that year. Another says: When the year star stays at the Winnowing Basket mansion, there will be much construction of earth and wood. Another says: When the year star stays at the mansion of the Heavenly Official, the ministers will be appointed to guard the palace. The Eastern Officials' Divination (Dong Gao Hou) says: When the year star (the original text says 'Fu Xing') stays at the Winnowing Basket mansion for more than seven days, and departs within seven feet, it indicates that a noble woman will be honored and appointed to a high position.

石氏曰：“歲星犯南斗，為赦。”《北官候》曰：“歲星逆行，犯南斗，其君賞賜非其人。”《海中占》曰：“歲星入南斗中，死者甚眾。”郗萌曰：“歲星入志南斗，天下受爵祿，近期六十日，遠期百二十日。”《荊州占》曰：“歲星入南斗中，水不可當。”陳卓曰：“歲星入南斗魁中，有殃。一曰歲旱，一曰斗為宰相，歲星入斗二十日以上，卿相有憂，太后惡之。又曰：逆行入斗中，必有亡國死王。”

The six stars of the Southern Dipper are the first among the seven stars of the Black Tortoise in the north, governing titles and honors, and also overseeing ministers. Their corresponding region is Wu and Yue. The Shi school says: if the planet Jupiter invades the Southern Dipper, it signifies amnesty. The Northern Officials' Divination says: if the planet Jupiter moves retrograde and invades the Southern Dipper, the ruler will reward those who should not be rewarded. The Sea Divination says: if the planet Jupiter enters the Southern Dipper, many people will die. Xi Meng says: if the planet Jupiter enters the Southern Dipper, people in the world will receive titles and salaries. The nearby occurrence will happen within sixty days, while the distant one will take one hundred and twenty days. The Jingzhou Divination says: if the planet Jupiter enters the Southern Dipper, the water will be so great it cannot be resisted. Chen Zhuo says: if the planet Jupiter enters the head of the Southern Dipper, there will be calamity; one interpretation says it signifies drought in that year; another says that the Southern Dipper symbolizes ministers, and if the planet Jupiter enters the Dipper for more than twenty days, officials and ministers will have worries, and the empress dowager will dislike this celestial phenomenon. It also says: if the planet Jupiter moves retrograde and enters the Dipper, there will certainly be the downfall of a country and the death of the king.

《北官候》曰：“歲入南斗，必有受祿增爵者。”石氏曰：“歲星經南斗，吳國稻梁大熟。”《春秋緯》曰：“歲星入南斗，五穀絲麻價平。”《海中占》曰：“歲星居南斗，五穀以旱傷。”郗萌曰：“歲星居南斗，河戍間道不通。又曰：歲星處南斗北，不利兒子；處斗西，歲多飢傷，民多死；處斗南，多病寒熱。

The Northern Officials' Manual says: When the planet Jupiter enters the Southern Dipper, there will certainly be someone who receives a salary increase and promotion in rank. The Shi school says: When Jupiter passes through the Southern Dipper, the rice and millet in the Wu region will have a great harvest. The Spring Orbit says: When Jupiter enters the Southern Dipper, the prices of five grains and silk and hemp will remain stable. The Sea Divination says: When Jupiter resides in the Southern Dipper, the five grains will suffer damage due to drought. Xi Meng says: When Jupiter resides in the Southern Dipper, the roads between the River Watch (a star near the Southern Dipper, governing river bridges and border passes) will be blocked. It also says: When Jupiter stops north of the Southern Dipper, it is unfavorable for descendants; when it stops west of the Southern Dipper, there will be more famine and damage in that year, with many people dying; when it stops south of the Southern Dipper, there will be more cases of cold and fever diseases.

又曰：歲星處南斗北，歲早水、晚旱。”《北官候》曰：“歲星處南斗西，虎狼入國；一曰民多死；處南斗南，多亡狗。”郗萌曰：“歲星年南斗，旗不用，眾有天下。”《荊州占》曰：“曰：“歲星入南斗二十日以上，至二百四十日，主者用德，忠臣升位。”

It is also said that when the star of years stops north of the Southern Dipper, there will be much water in the early part of the year and drought in the later part. The Northern Officials' Manual says that when the star of years stops west of the Southern Dipper, tigers and wolves will enter the country; another account says there will be many deaths among the people. When it stops south of the Southern Dipper, there will be many lost dogs. Xi Meng says: when the star of years is at the Southern Dipper (the word 'year' is a distorted form of 'at'), there is no need to move the military flag, and the side that wins the people's support will possess the world. The Jingzhou Divination says: when the star of years enters the Southern Dipper for more than twenty days up to two hundred and forty days, the rulers will practice virtue and promote loyal ministers. The six stars of the Southern Dipper in the celestial officials' system govern titles, longevity, and positions of ministers and assistants; their corresponding region is Wu and Yue, so the divination for this constellation mostly concerns the appointment of officials and the conditions of the year, such as floods and droughts.

郗萌曰：“歲星舍南斗，處其北，牛多死，其肉殺人；處其東，馬多死。又曰：歲星出入留舍南斗，六十日不下，天下大流亡；退而守之，其國有兵，客大破。”《考異郵》曰：“歲星守南斗，君臣乖倍。”石氏曰：“歲星守南斗魁，失道者死。又曰：歲星守南斗，天下大飢，人相食。”《荊州占》曰：“歲星守財斗，君臣俱明，天下更年，五禮更興。”

Xi Meng said: When the star of the year enters the mansion of the Dipper and is located to the north of the Dipper mansion, there will be a large number of deaths among cattle, and beef can even poison people; if it is located to the east of the Dipper mansion, there will be a large number of deaths among horses. He also said: When the star of the year appears, stays, and enters the mansion of the South Dipper, and does not leave for sixty days, there will be a large number of people fleeing throughout the country; if it retreats and stays at the South Dipper, the country corresponding to that area will have warfare, and the invading army will suffer a great defeat. The "Kao Yi You" said: When the star of the year stays at the South Dipper, there will be discord between the sovereign and ministers. The Shi school said: When the star of the year stays at the handle of the Dipper, which is the part in front of the South Dipper forming the shape of the Dipper, those who deviate from the right path will die. It also said: When the star of the year stays at the South Dipper, there will be a great famine throughout the country, leading to people eating people. The "Jingzhou Zhan" said: When the star of the year stays at the South Dipper (the original text says "cai dou," where "cai" is a corrupted form of "nan"), the sovereign and ministers will both be clear and upright, the country will change its era and calendar, and the five types of rituals - auspicious, ominous, military, guest, and ceremonial - will be revived.

《感精符》曰：“歲星逆行入南斗，守魁中，大臣國相逆，天下叛離，不同心，君臣不和；順行而守南斗，既去而復還，居之不久，易其色，常光明，天下同心，君臣和義。”《北官候》曰：“歲星逆行，守南斗，其國且有兵；一曰有軍來者；一曰客軍大敗。”郗萌曰：“歲星舍木，退而守南斗，其國且有兵，客軍大敗。”（牽牛為木星也。）巫咸曰：“歲星入南斗者，留守斗所守之國，當誅。”《春秋圖》曰：“歲星犯南斗而守之，大臣逆謀，其國有兵，年大飢，人相食，歲大惡。”郗萌曰：“歲星犯南斗，百日兵用，大臣死。”陳卓曰：“歲星犯守南斗，有赦。”

The "Gan Jing Fu" says: When the planet Jupiter moves retrograde into the Southern Dipper and stays within the Dipper's main body, the ministers and the state chancellor will have rebellious intentions, the whole country will be in rebellion, people's hearts will not be united, and the relationship between the sovereign and ministers will be broken. If Jupiter moves forward and stays in the Southern Dipper, then after leaving it, it turns back, stays for a short time, and its color changes but remains bright, this is a sign that the whole country is united, the sovereign and ministers are harmonious and abide by righteousness. The "Bei Gao Hou" says: When Jupiter moves retrograde and stays in the Southern Dipper, the country will have warfare; another interpretation says there will be an army coming; another says that the invading army will suffer a great defeat. Xi Meng says: When Jupiter enters the mansion of the star associated with wood and moves retrograde to stay in the Southern Dipper, the country will have warfare and the invading army will suffer a great defeat. The original book's marginal note says: The constellation of the Ox is the position associated with the planet Jupiter. Wu Xian says: When Jupiter enters the Southern Dipper and stays there, the country ruled by the Dipper mansion will be punished. The "Chun Qiu Tu" says: When Jupiter invades the Southern Dipper and stays there, the ministers will plot rebellion, the country will have warfare, there will be a great famine that year, people will eat people, and the year will be extremely bad. Xi Meng says: When Jupiter invades the Southern Dipper, within one hundred days, there will be military action and the ministers will die. Chen Zhuo says: When Jupiter invades and stays in the Southern Dipper, there will be an amnesty.

Xi Meng said: When the star of years enters the constellation Niuzhu, all the carriages across the land will be in motion. He also said: When the star of years enters the constellation Niuzhu, there will be some princes who miss the court assembly. The "Jingzhou Divination" says: When the star of years enters the constellation Niuzhu, there will be much flooding, tigers and wolves will injure people, the people will die of cold, ministers will plot against the king, the people will suffer from hunger; the wealthy will die in large numbers, and many children will die. The Shi school said: When the star of years passes through the constellation Niuzhu, the people in the region will send gold and silver as tribute to the court. Xi Meng said: When the star of years moves backward into the constellation Niuzhu, the ruler does not care for his relatives. The "Chunqiu Tu" says: When the star of years reaches the constellation Niuzhu, the prices of leather, hides, and other goods will rise sharply. The "Yuli" says: When the star of years reaches the constellation Niuzhu, there will be flooding, the people will suffer from famine, and some people will sell themselves to survive. The constellation Niuzhu corresponds to the star of officialdom, and it governs checkpoints, bridges, sacrifices, and cattle and horses. Its territory corresponds to Wu and Yue, so the divination texts often mention carriages, leather, floods and droughts, and checkpoints.

郗萌曰：“歲星乘牽牛，為天下有大水。”郗萌曰：“歲星乘牽牛，為人相棄於道。”又占曰：“歲星居牽牛，多旱；一曰居牽牛南三尺，旱。”《海中占》曰：“歲星舍牽牛，殺虎、狼入國，一曰守牛西，虎狼多入邑中者。”

Xi Meng said: The star of years enters and dominates the Ox mansion, and the whole country will experience a great flood. Xi Meng also said: The star of years enters and dominates the Ox mansion, and there will be a tragic situation where relatives abandon each other on the roads. Another divination says: When the star of years stays in the Ox mansion, there will be much drought; another says when it is located three feet south of the Ox mansion, there will also be drought. The "Sea Divination" says: When the star of years enters the Ox mansion, the cold and killing atmosphere follows tigers and wolves into the country; another says when it stays on the western side of the Ox mansion, tigers and wolves will enter the cities in large numbers. "Multiplying" means to dominate from above, "staying" means to rest in its position, and "residing" means to enter the mansion. The three have different degrees of importance, so their fulfillments vary accordingly.

郗萌曰：“歲星出入留舍牽牛，三十日不下，天下大臣且有死者，致天斧鉞之中；九十日不下，大將出，客兵來，期不出三年。”《孝經章句》曰：“歲星守天關，在其北，民流死；在西，民以風災死，若虎狼入國；在其南，狗多狂、亡；在其東，不利嬰兒。”

Xi Meng said: When the star of years appears in the constellation Niutou, disappears, stays, and enters its dwelling for thirty days without leaving, there will be death among the ministers of the country, falling under punishment and execution; if it remains for ninety days without leaving, there will be military campaigns by generals, and foreign troops will invade, and this will come to pass within three years. The "Commentary on the Chapter of Filial Piety" says: When the star of years stays at Tian Guan — Niutou is also called Tian Guan, which signifies a pass or bridge — if it is located to the north of it, there will be deaths among the people due to migration; if it is located to the west, the people will die from wind disasters, or tigers and wolves will enter the country; if it is located to the south, there will be many mad dogs and many lost dogs; if it is located to the east, it will be harmful to infants.

石氏曰：“歲星守牽牛，三十日至九十日，天下和平，道德明，四夷朝中國。”又曰：“歲星守牽牛，農人死於野，陰陽不和。”巫咸曰：“歲星守牽牛，馬、五穀多傷。”《海中占》曰：“歲星守牽牛，臣謀君，糴貴，三月乃復。”郗萌曰：“歲量守牽牛，為穀貴。”又曰：“歲星守牽牛東，春牛大癘；一曰居南，夏牛大癘。”

The Shi school says: When the star of years stays in the Ox mansion, if it remains for thirty to ninety days, the world will be peaceful, morality will flourish, and the four directions' barbarians will come to pay homage to the Middle Kingdom. It also says: When the star of years stays in the Ox mansion, farmers will die in the fields, and the yin and yang energies will be out of balance. Wu Xian says: When the star of years stays in the Ox mansion, horses and the five grains will suffer great damage. The book "Sea Divination" says: When the star of years stays in the Ox mansion, ministers will plot against the sovereign, the price of grain will rise, and it will take three months to recover. Xi Meng says: When the star of years (the original text says "years measure," which is a corrupted form of "star") stays in the Ox mansion, the price of grain will be high. It also says: When the star of years is located to the east of the Ox mansion, there will be a great epidemic among cattle in spring; another view says: when it is located to the south, there will be a great epidemic among cattle in summer.

陳卓曰：“歲星守牽牛南，五穀以水傷；守牛東，萬物不成，饑民流亡，六畜若牛多死病，大臣有謀事；守牛北，民寒凍死；守牛西，地氣發洩，歲多水。”《文曜鉤》曰：“歲星犯守牽牛，大臣謀其主，大人有戮死者，火犯眾火宮，火大起，道路不通。”甘氏曰：“歲星犯牽牛，留守之，為破軍殺將。”陳卓曰：“歲星犯牽牛，貴人多喪，諸侯失明。”

Chen Zhuo said: When the star of years stays in the southern side of the Ox mansion, the five grains are flooded by water; when it stays in the eastern side, all things fail to grow, hungry people flee, and livestock, especially oxen, die in large numbers, while ministers plot against the sovereign; when it stays in the northern side, the common people suffer from cold and die; when it stays in the western side, the earth's energy escapes outward, and there will be much water in that year. The Wen Yao Gou said: When the star of years invades and stays in the constellation of the Ox, ministers plot against the sovereign, and the powerful are liable to be killed; if the Malefic of violence also invades the palace of many fires, there will be a great fire, and roads will be blocked. The Gan school said: When the star of years invades the Ox constellation and stays there, it indicates the army is defeated and generals are beheaded. Chen Zhuo said: When the star of years invades the Ox constellation, there are many funerals among the nobles, and the princes lose their discernment.

甘氏曰：“歲星入須女，有進美女者，大人有慶；若有女喜，立后，拜太子，期三十日；若九十日，宮人有受賜者。”《北官候》曰：“歲星入須女，諸侯有賀天子以美女，期三十日，若九十日。”石氏曰：“歲星須女，越貢獻金銀。”郗萌曰：“歲星居須女，宮中有水災，一日五穀有水傷。”《玄冥占》曰：“歲星居須女，歲多水。”《荊州占》曰：“歲星留須女二十日，布帛大貴，期四十日。”巫咸曰：“歲星宿須女而逆行，其君不務農桑令。”

The Gan school says: When the year star enters the mansion of the Girl (Nu Xu), there will be a presentation of beautiful women, and the noble have joy; or there will be joy in the female aspect, such as the appointment of a queen and the designation of a crown prince, which should occur within thirty days; if it reaches ninety days, then there will be rewards given to the palace attendants. The Northern Officials' Divination says: When the year star enters the mansion of the Girl, the princes present beautiful women to the Son of Heaven as a tribute, which should occur within thirty days or ninety days. The Shi school says: When the year star reaches the mansion of the Girl, the distant regions present gold and silver as tribute. Xi Meng says: When the year star remains in the mansion of the Girl, there will be water disasters in the palace, or another interpretation is that the five grains are flooded by water. The玄冥占 (Xuanming Divination) says: When the year star remains in the mansion of the Girl, there will be more water in the year. The Jingzhou Divination says: When the year star stays in the mansion of the Girl for twenty days, the price of silk and cloth will surge, which should occur within forty days. Wu Xian says: When the year star enters the mansion of the Girl and then moves retrograde, the ruler will not be willing to earnestly promote policies encouraging agriculture and sericulture. The mansion of the Girl (Nu Xu) is also called the Girl's Mansion, which governs the cutting and making of silk and cloth, marriage and marriage alliances, and the production of textiles, so the divination verses concerning this mansion mostly discuss the empress, female artisans, and the price of silk and cloth.

《黃帝占》曰：“歲星出入留舍須女，而守犯至三十日不下，小有有慶；五十日不下，更立侯王；六十日不下，兵起於野，冬入在春也。”郗萌曰：“歲星出入留舍須女，不出二年，天下用兵。”《黃帝占》曰：“歲星守須女，糴石三百，民有自賣者。”《春秋圖》曰：“歲星守須女，絲麻大貴。”石氏曰：“歲星守須女，國邑飢；一曰有喪，一曰大水，且主有女喪。”

The Yellow Emperor's Divination says: When the planet Jupiter appears, disappears, stays, enters and resides in the constellation Niuniu, and remains there for thirty days without leaving, there will be minor auspicious events; if it remains for fifty days without leaving, a new prince or king will be established; if it remains for sixty days without leaving, warfare will break out in the outskirts. If it enters during winter, the fulfillment will occur in the following spring. Xi Meng says: When Jupiter appears, disappears, stays, enters and resides in the constellation Niuniu, there will be warfare throughout the country within two years. The Yellow Emperor's Divination also says: When Jupiter resides in Niuniu, the price of grain rises to three hundred coins per stone, and people sell themselves to survive. The Spring and Autumn Map says: When Jupiter resides in Niuniu, the prices of silk and hemp surge. The Shi school says: When Jupiter resides in Niuniu, the capital and cities suffer from famine; another interpretation is that there will be mourning, another says there will be great floods, and the king will suffer the death of a female relative.

郗萌曰：“歲星舍須女東，不利兒子；舍其南，多亡狗，狗多嗥；舍其西，虎狼入邑，民多風雷死；舍其北，多寒凍死；一曰多鼠。”巫咸曰：“歲星守須女，三日以上至二十日，去之一尺（《荊州占》曰：“去之三尺。”）以外，王者欲發財寶；若發女工伎，不出七十日。”

Xi Meng said: When the star of years enters the mansion of the girl to the east, it is unfavorable for children; if it enters to the south, there will be many lost dogs, and dogs often howl at night; if it enters to the west, tigers and wolves will rush into towns and villages, and many people will be killed by wind and thunder; if it enters to the north, there will be many deaths from cold. 巫咸曰：“歲星守須女，為萬物不成。又曰：歲星守須女，寡婦多死；一曰大人有慶。”《海中占》曰：“歲星守須女，有嫁娶布帛之事。”郗萌曰：“歲星守須女，為后夫人有變；一曰妾為主。”又曰：“歲星守須女，谷不成熟。”《玄冥占》曰：“歲星守須女，國大飢。”陳卓曰：“歲星逆行，留犯守陵女，天子及大臣有疾，女有奇政令。”

The book "Hai Zhong Zhan" said: The year star stays in Xun Nv, there will be matters concerning marriage and silk and cloth. Xi Meng said: The year star stays in Xun Nv, the position of the empress consort will have troubles; another view is that the concubine will take the place of the main wife. It also said: The year star stays in Xun Nv, the grain will not mature. The book "Xuan Ming Zhan" said: The year star stays in Xun Nv, there will be a great famine in the country. Chen Zhuo said: The year star movesretrograde, stays, invades, and guards Xun Nv (the original text says "ling nu", which is a miswriting for "xun nu"), the emperor and ministers will be ill, and there will be abnormal policies from the side of women.

甘氏曰：“歲星入虛，天下大虛。”巫咸曰：“歲星入虛中，伺其出日而數之，二十日皆為兵發，伺始入處之率，一曰期十日，軍罷。”郗萌曰：“歲星入虛，為天下大亂，政急，大人憂，有德令。”《荊州占》曰：“歲星入虛，百二十日以上，有功臣封立侯國，邑其犯乘，守其東西南北，宰相有重誅者，必有德令。”

The Gan school says: When the star of years enters the mansion of Emptiness, the world will be empty and lacking. Wu Xian says: When the star of years enters the mansion of Emptiness, starting from the day it leaves, there will be military actions for twenty days; another view, based on its original position of entry, suggests that the period should be ten days, after which the army will disband. Xi Meng says: When the star of years enters the mansion of Emptiness, the world will be in great disorder, with harsh decrees, and the honored will have worries, followed by the issuance of benevolent edicts. The "Jingzhou Divination" says: If the star of years stays in the mansion of Emptiness for more than one hundred and twenty days, meritorious officials will be granted titles of marquis, given fiefs, and rewarded with land grants; if it invades, dominates, or stays in any of the east, west, south, or north of the mansion of Emptiness, ministers will suffer severe punishments and be executed, and then a decree of virtue will certainly be issued. The mansion of Emptiness, in the realm of the Star of Officialdom, governs ancestral temples, mourning, and wastefulness, and its corresponding region is Qi. Therefore, the divination related to this mansion often speaks of mourning, ancestral temples, and famine.

郗萌曰：“歲星逆行虛，其君簡祭祀。”石氏曰：“歲星經虛，齊國多美女。”《春秋圖》曰：“歲星之虛，五穀大熟。”郗萌曰：“歲星居虛，歲多水，五穀以水傷。又曰：歲星出入舍虛，一歲乃下，更元年。”《齊伯五星占》曰：“歲星出入留舍虛，十日不下天下苦。”

Xi Meng said: The star of years is in the mansion of Emptiness moving backwards, and the ruler neglected the worship. The Shi school said: The star of years passes through the mansion of Emptiness, and Qi land produces many beautiful women -- the territory corresponding to the mansion of Emptiness is Qi. The "Spring and Autumn Diagram" says: When the star of years reaches the mansion of Emptiness, the five grains are abundantly harvested. Xi Meng said: When the star of years stays in the mansion of Emptiness, there is much water that year, and the five grains are ruined by water. It also says: When the star of years appears, stays, and disappears in the mansion of Emptiness, and takes a whole year to leave, it is necessary to change the year and the era name. The "Five Stars Divination of Qi Bo" says: When the star of years appears, stays, and disappears in the mansion of Emptiness, and does not leave within ten days, the whole world suffers.

《孝經章句》曰：“歲星守虛，在東，民多暴死；守其北，不占；在其西，其歲少雨；在其南，王者宮中有憂；宰相之家坐，棄市。”石氏曰：“歲星守虛，七日以上，盡三十日，王者起宗廟，修陵，家有白衣之會，不出九十日。”甘氏曰：“歲星失色守虛，天子改服，不出六十日。”

The "Commentary on the Classic of Filial Piety" states: When the planet Jupiter is stationed at the mansion of Emptiness and is偏 in the eastern side, there will be many sudden deaths among the people; when it is stationed at the northern side, there is no need for interpretation; when it is偏 in the western side, there will be a year of scarce rain; when it is偏 in the southern side, there will be calamity in the imperial palace, the minister's family will be punished, and the person will be executed and their body discarded in the market. The Shi school says: When the planet Jupiter is stationed at the mansion of Emptiness, if it stays for more than seven days up to thirty days, the emperor should construct ancestral temples and repair tombs, there will be gatherings of mourning in families, and the prediction will be fulfilled within ninety days. The Gan school says: When the planet Jupiter loses its normal brightness and is stationed at the mansion of Emptiness, the emperor should change his mourning clothes, and the prediction will be fulfilled within sixty days.

郗萌曰：“歲星守虛，天下兵大起。又曰：歲星守虛，君將離散，其卒多死亡。”又曰：“歲星守虛，食貴，民自賣。”又曰：“歲星守虛，三月以上，有裂土受爵者。”巫咸曰：“歲星入虛，留守之二十日不下，有立諸侯；六十日不下，國有死亡；百日不下，改年號，大臣戮死，期二年。”

Xi Meng said: The planet Jupiter stays in the mansion of Emptiness, and throughout the land, great military campaigns will be launched. He also said: The planet Jupiter stays in the mansion of Emptiness, the sovereign and generals will be divided in heart and mind, and a large number of soldiers will die. He also said: The planet Jupiter stays in the mansion of Emptiness, grain will be expensive, and common people will sell themselves to survive. He also said: If the planet Jupiter stays in the mansion of Emptiness for more than three months, there will be people who will be granted land and titles. Wu Xian said: When the planet Jupiter enters the mansion of Emptiness, if it stays for twenty days without leaving, there will be the appointment of feudal lords; if it stays for sixty days without leaving, there will be death and mourning within the state; if it stays for one hundred days without leaving, the era name will be changed, ministers will be killed, and this will occur within two years. The phrase 'split land and receive a title' refers to dividing counties and prefectures to reward meritorious officials. The mansion of Emptiness originally governs loss and mourning, so the longer the planet Jupiter stays, the more the outcome shifts from granting titles to death and changing the era name. The longer the days, the greater the calamity.

《海中占》曰：“歲星犯虛而守之，王者以凶改服，有白衣之會，不出六十日，天下飢；又民流千里，君臣離散。”（《宋書天文志》曰：惡惠帝永寧元年七月，歲星守虛、危，二年十二月，成都河間長沙王乂討齊王冏，交戰攻焚宮闕，冏兵敗夷滅，乂殺其兄上將軍蹇以下二十餘人，大安二年，成都改長沙，於是公私飢困，百姓力屈。）

The book "Sea Divination" states: When the planet Jupiter invades and stays in the mansion of Emptiness, the emperor will change his mourning clothes due to an ominous event, and there will be gatherings of people in mourning, which will not exceed sixty days, leading to famine across the land; there will also be situations where common people flee for hundreds of miles and the relationship between sovereign and ministers is disrupted. The original commentary cites the "Book of the Southern Dynasties · Astronomical Records" which says: In the first year of Yongning of Emperor Hui of the Jin Dynasty, July, Jupiter remained in the mansions of Emptiness and Danger; in the second year, December, the Prince of Chengdu and Prince of Hejian, along with Prince Sima Yi of Changsha, attacked Prince Sima Jiong of Qi, and during the battle, they burned the palaces, leading to Sima Jiong's defeat and his entire family being exterminated, while Sima Yi killed his elder brother, General of Upper Commandery Sima Jian, and more than twenty others; in the second year of Taian, the Prince of Chengdu turned to attack Prince Sima Yi of Changsha, thus causing both public and private sectors to fall into hardship, with common people exhausted of strength and resources.

郗萌曰：“歲星入危，政在臣下，期在四十日中。”《荊州占》曰：“歲星入危，三月以上，有受爵土者。又曰：歲星入危，天下大亂，若賊臣起。”《春秋圖》曰：“歲星之危，民不寧處。”石氏曰：“歲星舍色南，雨血膏王室。”郗萌曰：“歲星出入留舍危，六十日不下，國君死之。”

Xi Meng said: The planet Jupiter entering the constellation Wēi Sù indicates that the power of government will fall into the hands of ministers, and this should occur within forty days. The "Jingzhou Divination" says: When the planet Jupiter enters the constellation Wēi Sù for more than three months, someone will be granted a title and territory. It also says: When the planet Jupiter enters the constellation Wēi Sù, there will be great disorder in the country, or there will be rebellious ministers causing chaos. The "Chunqiu Tu" says: When the planet Jupiter reaches the constellation Wēi Sù, the people cannot live in peace. The Shi school says: When the planet Jupiter enters the constellation Wēi Sù on its southern side (the original text "se" is a mistake for "Wēi"), blood rain falls from the sky, staining the royal family. Xi Meng said: When the planet Jupiter appears, stays, or enters the constellation Wēi Sù, and does not leave within sixty days, the king will die because of it. The constellation Wēi Sù in the Tian Guan (Star of officialdom) governs houses, palaces, and construction projects, as well as tombs and mourning. Its territory corresponds to the state of Qi, so the divination texts concerning this constellation often discuss earthworks and funerals.

石氏曰：“歲星守危，三月；若二十日，諸侯兵起。”甘氏曰：“歲星守危，立諸侯，天子更宮室，民多土功，若有哭泣事。”又曰：“歲星守危，民不寧。”巫咸曰：“歲星守危，徭役煩，賦斂眾，下屈竭，莫能俱不，惡其上，強凌弱，兵起。”又曰：“歲星守危，為多盜賊，人民相惡。”

The Shi school says: When the planet Jupiter stays in the constellation Rooftop Mansion for three months, or even only twenty days, the princes will all raise armies. The Gan school says: When the planet Jupiter stays in the constellation Rooftop Mansion, there will be the appointment of princes, the Son of Heaven will rebuild palaces, and the people will extensively engage in construction projects, or there will be mourning events. It also says: When the planet Jupiter stays in the constellation Rooftop Mansion, the people will not find peace. Wu Xian says: When the planet Jupiter stays in the constellation Rooftop Mansion, the labor service will be burdensome, the taxes will be numerous, the people's strength will be exhausted, and they will be unable to cope with anything, thus resentment will arise towards those in power, the strong will oppress the weak, and warfare will follow. It also says: When the planet Jupiter stays in the constellation Rooftop Mansion, there will be many bandits, and the people will hate each other.

《海中占》曰：“歲星守危，國有兵憂；一曰兵並起。”郗萌曰：“歲星守危，多雨，為來歲損。”又曰：“歲星守危，為大人蓋屋事。”郗萌曰：“歲星守危，處其東，民多飢死。”《玉曆》曰：“歲星守危，七日以上，去之四尺外，財王者治宗廟，高宮闕，不出四十日。”

Xi Meng says: When the year star is in the position of the Rooftop Mansion, excessive rain will damage the harvest of the following year. He also says: When the year star is in the position of the Rooftop Mansion, it signifies the Nobleman building houses. Xi Meng says: When the year star is in the position of the Rooftop Mansion and is biased to its east side, many common people will die of starvation. The "Jade Calendar" says: When the year star stays in the position of the Rooftop Mansion for more than seven days and is more than four feet away from it, the Emperor will immediately repair the ancestral temples and raise the palace buildings (here "cai" is used as "cai", meaning immediately), and the effect will be seen within forty days.

郗萌曰：“歲星守危，其君簡祭祀。”《玄冥占》曰：“歲星入危，守之百日不下，穀貴。”《玄冥占》曰：“歲星入危，守之三十日不下，諸侯兵起；六十日不下，其國亡；百日不下，穀貴，客軍將死。”郗萌曰：“歲星守墳墓，為人主有哭泣之聲。”

Xi Meng said: The year star stays at the mansion star, the ruler is negligent and brief in his worship. The "Xuan Ming Zhuan" says: When the year star enters the mansion star, if it stays for one hundred days without leaving, grain prices will be high. The "Xuan Ming Zhuan" also says: When the year star enters the mansion star, if it stays for thirty days without leaving, the feudal lords will raise armies; if it stays for sixty days without leaving, the country will perish; if it stays for one hundred days without leaving, grain prices will be high, and the general of the invading army will die. Xi Meng said: The year star stays at the tomb star—the mansion star has four tomb stars beneath it—the ruler's family will hear weeping sounds.
