If the guest star remains in position for a long time, this is called "supporting the Elder," meaning that the region corresponding to that star will be peaceful, and the elderly will enjoy prosperity and flourishing.

The four stars of Tianli are located within the Big Dipper's handle, and they represent the prison for noblemen. Xie Meng says: If a star enters Tianli, the decrees will not be clearly proclaimed. The "Jingzhou Divination" also states: If a star enters Tianli, there will be ministers who are executed.

Imperial envoys rush to transport grain to relieve the people throughout the land, and the world suffers hardship; or there are unexpected warriors from the east of the Yellow River arriving with weapons.

The Yellow Emperor's Divination says: A guest star stopping at Chu Ji indicates that the whole country will collect grain; another interpretation says that the people will lose both Chu and Ji, having no grain to pound. The Shi school says: If a star enters Chu Ji, the country will face urgent difficulties. Xie Meng says: If a star enters and stops at Chu Ji, military actions will arise and people will gather in large numbers.

Xie Meng says that a guest star remaining at the Heavenly Rooster causes chickens on earth to cry out at night, causing alarm everywhere. The Jiangzhou Divination says that a guest star remaining at the Heavenly Rooster leads to the collapse of mountains and hills or the occurrence of great floods.

Tian Tian is located north of Jiao Xu, symbolizing the state granary land within the emperor's territory, which governs agriculture. Therefore, disasters related to agriculture such as drought, flood, locusts, and pests all originate from here.

郄萌曰：“客星入天門，諸相有謀慮。”
Xie Meng said: The guest star entering the "Heavenly Gate" indicates that the ministers and assistants have secret plans and calculations in mind. The two stars of the Heavenly Gate are located south of the Ping Dao and beside the Horn Mansion, serving as the gateway for heavenly officials to come and go, through which the ministers and senior officials pass. Therefore, the change should manifest in the ministers and assistants.

郄萌曰：“客星守平道，諸侯不朝，奸人橫行。”
Xie Meng said: A guest star stops at "Ping Dao," and the princes do not come to pay homage. Evil people act without restraint. The two stars of Ping Dao are located between the Horn mansion, governing the smoothing of roads, which is the imperial route for the Son of Heaven's travels; if the road is obstructed, the rituals of homage will consequently decline.

The Wine Flag consists of three stars located south of the right angle of Xuan Yuan, and it oversees banquets and wine. The Jingzhou Divination says: A guest star lingering at the Wine Flag indicates that the whole country will widely grant gatherings for drinking, with abundant food and wine, thus consuming wealth; or it may mean granting titles to the royal descendants.

The four stars of Tian Gao are located to the south of Bi Su, representing a pavilion for ascending high and observing the atmosphere. Xie Meng says: When a guest star exits Tian Gao from the side associated with yin, there will be military affairs; another interpretation suggests there will be a fleeing monarch and a disloyal minister escaping; when it enters from the side associated with yang, there will be calamity brought about by rewards; another interpretation suggests foreign troops will enter the country. Xie Meng also says: When a guest star remains stationed at Tian Gao, the palace should be concerned about a fire disaster, with a fire deity descending from the sky or strange omens emerging from beneath the earth.

The "Jingzhou Divination" states: When the guest star remains at "Lishi," there will be military movements, and all craftsmen will be busy. Lishi consists of four stars located west of Wuxia. Lishi is originally a stone used for sharpening weapons, and it oversees the tempering of weapons and the activities of various artisans. Therefore, any change in Lishi will indicate military action and the commencement of construction projects.

The Shi school says: When a guest star enters the 'Eight Grains,' the price of grain throughout the land will rise sharply, leading to warfare due to famine, and the ruler will lose his position. The Eight Grains and the Eight Stars are located to the north of the Five Vehicles, used to predict the abundance or scarcity of eight types of grain for the coming year. Therefore, its divination statement directly refers to the harvest and grain prices.

The Five Ditches are also called the Heavenly Ditch, which is where the five stars are located among the Five Carriages. It is a celestial marsh that governs the storage of water. Xie Meng says: If a star enters the Five Ditches, large-scale military conflicts will occur. Xie Meng also says: If a guest star remains in the Heavenly Ditch, the ruler will suffer harm due to water or due to a well. The specific country affected can be determined by the heavenly stem and earthly branch of the day the guest star enters.

《黃帝占》曰：“客星入咸池，大人憂。”《荊州占》曰：“客星入咸池，人君死，天下水。”
The Yellow Emperor's Divination says: If a guest star enters Xianchi, the sovereign will have worries. Xianchi consists of three stars located among the Five Carriages, representing a celestial pond where fish are raised, governing water reservoirs and fish production. The Jingzhou Divination says: If a guest star enters Xianchi, the ruler will die, and the world will suffer from floods.

The two stars of the Heavenly Street are located between the mansion of Hairy Head and the mansion of Net, and they represent the great road traveled by the Son of Heaven. It is also the boundary between Huaxia and the夷狄. The area within the street belongs to China, while the area outside belongs to the four barbarians. Therefore, the thief is within the territory.

The *Jingzhou Divination* says: If a guest star halts and guards "Qingqiu," the official in charge of land will be in trouble. The seven stars of Qingqiu are located to the southeast of Chariot Mansion, which is the name of a southern barbarian state, related to territory and borders. Therefore, the change should manifest in the official responsible for land.

《天官書》曰：“客星入車騎星，西羌且來降。”
The Records of the Grand Historian: The Book of Celestial Officials says that a guest star entering the 'Car and Cavalry' star indicates that the western Qiang people will soon come to submit. The Car and Cavalry star consists of three stars located south of the General of the Cavalry Formation, governing carriages, horses, and cavalry. This star should be in the west, hence the divination states that the western Qiang will submit.

The four stars of the dog country are located in the southeast of Jian Star, symbolizing northern barbarian tribes such as Xianbei, Wuhuan, and Wozu. Xie Meng said: When the guest star confronts and stays in the dog country, it signifies that the world's government and teachings will be clear and upright, and the great way will prevail throughout the land.

郄萌曰：“有星入天田，天下有變。”
There is a star entering the "Heavenly Field," indicating that there will be disturbances throughout the world. This is the divination from Xie Meng. The "Heavenly Field" here belongs to the Gan school's outer official system, and together with the "Heavenly Field" located to the north of Jiao Xu, they form separate star officials, both symbolizing cultivated fields and farmland. When the stellar configuration changes, the agricultural activities and livelihood of the people across the land will be affected.
A guest star invades the crying five.
郄萌曰：“守星守哭泣星，人主有哭泣之聲。”
Xie Meng said: There is a star of waiting that stops at the star of crying, and there will be sounds of mourning and weeping around the ruler. The stars of crying and weeping are located south of the mansion of Emptiness, and they specifically govern funeral wails and sorrow. Therefore, when a guest star invades this area, the divination text directly refers to the sound of crying.

郄萌曰：“有星入八魁，天下多盜賊。”
Xie Meng said: When a star enters the "Ba Kuai," there will be many bandits across the land. The Ba Kuai and Jiuxing are located in the southeast of the dog country, originally symbolizing a net used for catching animals, which by extension represents the affairs of apprehending wicked thieves. Therefore, when there is a change in this area, it indicates an increase in bandits and the effectiveness of the net in capturing them diminishes.

郄萌曰：“有星入天溷，上溺下蒙。”
Xie Meng said: There is a star entering the "Tian Hun," causing the person in high position to be involved in filth and the person in low position to suffer from corruption. Tian Hun, the Seven Stars, lies south of the outer screen, and it is the heavenly toilet, originally symbolizing filth, so this change indicates that both the upper and lower are tainted by foul air.

郄萌曰：“有星入九州殊口，九州之民憂水事。”《黃帝占》曰：“客星守九州口，負海國不安，兵起。”郄萌曰：“客星守九州口，天下凶。”
Xie Meng said: There is a star entering the 'Jiu Zhou Shu Kou', and the people of the Nine States will worry about floods. The six stars of Jiu Zhou Shu Kou are located south of Tian Lei Cheng, symbolizing officials who interpret the languages of various ethnic groups. The Yellow Emperor's Divination says: If a guest star stays at Jiu Zhou Shu Kou, the countries along the coast will not be at peace, and military conflicts will arise. Xie Meng said: If a guest star stays at Jiu Zhou Shu Kou, there will be calamities throughout the world.

郄萌曰：“客星入天節，奚契丹有憂。”《荊州占》曰：“客星守天節，臣有憂。”
Xie Meng said: The guest star entering the "Heavenly Festival" indicates that the Xi and Qidan tribes in the northeast will have troubles. The Heavenly Festival consists of eight stars beneath the Net mansion, which are the symbols carried by envoys when they travel on official missions. The "Jingzhou Divination" states: When the guest star stays at the Heavenly Festival, ministers will face troubles.

《荊州占》曰：“客星守九游，憂諸侯之兵，若禽獸多疾。”
The *Jingzhou Divination* says: If the guest star remains at the 'Jiu You' (Nine Wanderers), one should be concerned about the princes raising armies or animals suffering from many diseases. The Nine Wanderers and Nine Stars are located in the southwest of the Jade Well. This is the streamers hanging from the emperor's banner, and the direction of the banner indicates the location of military actions. Therefore, its changes should first manifest in the armies of the princes.

The four stars of the Water Palace are located southwest of the Well Mansion, and they are the officials in charge of water affairs, overseeing dikes, canals, and ditches. Xie Meng says: If a star enters the Water Palace, the whole country will experience floods.

The Yellow Emperor's Divination says: If a guest star enters the Heavenly Dog, there will be much wind and rain in the country; it also says that the northern夷 tribes suffer from famine and come to submit. The seven stars of the Heavenly Dog are located north of the Wolf Star, taking the meaning of a dog barking and guarding, overseeing defense and bandits. The荆州 Divination says: If a guest star enters the Heavenly Dog, there will be many earth and wood construction projects, and the northern夷 tribes will have great famine. The荆州 Divination also says: If a guest star remains in the Heavenly Dog, the officials in charge of guarding will rise in rebellion.

郄萌曰：“有星入丈人，明臣不得通。”
Xie Meng said: There is a star entering the 'Zhangren' (Elder), preventing virtuous ministers from communicating with the sovereign. The two Zhangren stars are located in the southwest of Junshi, symbolizing elderly and virtuous elders, in sequence with the Zi and Sun stars. When the position of the elder is encroached upon, the channels for righteous speech become blocked.

《黃帝占》曰：“有星入天社，有祠事於國內；出天社，有祠事於國外。”
The Huangdi Zhan says: If a star enters the "Tian She," there should be a sacrifice within the country; if it leaves Tian She, the sacrifice should be held outside the national borders. The six stars of Tian She are located south of the Hu star, representing the position of the earth deities. Human sacrifices to the earth deities are modeled after this, so its divination is specifically about sacrifices.

The Heavenly Order consists of nine stars located east of the Gansuo formation, which oversee the principles and order of all things, and also preside over the adjudication of disputes among the people. When the star of order is disturbed, government orders naturally become chaotic.
